@featherstar53 If reblub chains got too long, new reblubs would start appearing as darker and darker until you couldnt see the text anymore. It mimicked how light disappears as you go deeper in the ocean but the sunken code this webbedsite runs on never set a cap for how dark it gets, so eventually you would have to copy ad paste the text on the reblubs onto somewhere to read them.

Okay so I'm kind of young, right?

I grew up listening to "Mai Agar kahoon," and I've watched Om Shaanti Om but I don't remember it at all. It came out when I was 4.

I don't know why I haven't re watched the movie ever.

But I just had a talk with mom and apparently Mai Agar Kahoon is a romance song????

I always thought it was a double meaning manipulation song disguised as a romance song and the story must be that the guy is in some way betraying/lying to/manipulating the girl he is singing this to. But nope, mom says it's just a romance song.

But listen to the way its sung!

a/n: a scene from watt/hadestown (but i go off on too many tangents in brackets)

riley steps forward. 'she can't go. she signed a contract. she belongs to the team.'

kate stares between eva and riley, and back to eva. "is it true?"

they speak in unison. 

"she does." "i do."

(kate thinks, sometimes, about eva and 'i do's and their wedding song. this is not the 'i do' she wanted. this 'i do' she dreamed of only in her nightmares, on the track to here, this hell.)

"i can't leave the team," says eva, "i signed. 90k, my scholarship, for me to be on the team. climatology, kate! any way the wind blows," she sings bitterly.

"you can't leave- please not you- not you too-" comes kate's response, words spilling, falling from her lips, the same ones she said to chess before she left and never came back and now eva is going too- there isn't even a promise to skype, to keep in touch, to let her follow- "come home with me," she begs, "we can fix it-" 

(she knows they can't. riley is the richest girl in the area. the school can't afford to lose her. 90k scholarship, fancy gym- giles corey would bend over backwards for this girl.)

eva laughs sadly. "you don't know what it's like to be hungry." 

(i have worked so hard for so much less, eva thinks, remembers being unable to study for college because she was always working, how the stress got to her. thinks about how annleigh said kate would make her feel alive- but she can't quite remember how it felt. being a tiger has dulled her inside. riley is rich, and she knows how to use the money and power she has- a world where all the wrong kids keep getting all the nice things, she thinks wildy for a moment, watching kate stare at her brokenly, and she loves kate but sometimes she doesn't get it, lost in her music, lost in her grief.)

from the side, cairo watches. 

(the memory of seeing eva flashes through her head. up on top for spring, above and away from this basement, pouring drinks for everyone in the sunshine. kate had cried, "she will always fill our cups," a praise, a challenge, a reassurance to the girl next to her, staring at this bringer of life with skepticism. cairo had noticed, and looked directly at this girl, hungry and tired, and chimed in with "i will," watching her face grow hopeful. kate grinned, strummed her song and toasted, "and we will always raise them up!")

(growing up, despite appearances, kate never hated cairo. "i'll play my song and you and riley can kiss and make up," she told cairo as a child. cairo looked at this mortal girl, fingers red from holding guitar chords, and scoffed a disbelieving "sure.") there was a frenemy sort of passive-aggressiveness between kate and cairo, and out of all the gods, cairo was one of the rare few she trusted to help. like now.

(she thinks to annleigh turning to her, looking haunted, saying that cairo and riley were behind chess's death, and her immediate reaction being to defend cairo- "cairo never hated chess!")

kate turns her head to the side, and cairo, lost in the tumultuous thoughts of an immortal who has lost so many (her mind, right now, is thinking of farrah) looks up. "cai," kate pleads, and cairo steps forward, into the dull glow of riley's basement, so different from sunlight above. riley's voice hums, a calming technique cairo taught her long ago, and cairo can nearly hear the words with the tune. "please forgive me for doing what's best for you," echoes riley's voice in her head, sad and desperate.

"riley," she starts, and her friend looks to her. riley's hands are shaking, something cairo remembers from fourth grade. "make this easier" riley sings softly, voice trembling, and looks at her.

"eva means nothing to me!" says riley, defensive, mind whirling with 'cairo must think i have a crush on eva or something and now she hates me just like i got mad at farrah when cairo started spending so much time with her but farrah was bad for her they kept getting drunk and please forgive me for doing what's best for you i love you i love you i love you please she means nothing to me it's always been you-'

and maybe the two of them know each other too well, maybe they're too in sync, because cairo looks at riley and sees how much riley cares for her, and also thinks of farrah, and the suspicions she has, and her heart breaks because she knows how to fix this and she doesn't want to do it.

"i know," cairo says (reassuring, i care for you too, do this to please me) and then, "but she means everything to her."

riley is beset with phantoms that take cairo's voice and face and rip them off, because suddenly, even though she is looking at her best friend, all she can see are ghosts.

chess floats near her face, and riley can almost feel her nonexistent breath beside her cheek. "damned if you don't", she sings, hauntingly persuasive. let them go. the guilt claws at riley's chest. she can't breathe. 

chess then glares at farrah as her double braids flop onto riley's head. with fake cheer, she somersaults through the air and grins at riley upside down. "damned if you do!" mocking, taunting. you can't win.

clark appears, broods by her side. choruses with the other two before they fade- "whole damn nation's watching you."

even as the apparitions subside, drifting in front of her instead, their song continues around riley- "what you gonna do when the chips are down, now that the chips are down?"

"here's a little tip," farrah hums, sing-song, and a bottle of belladonna wine appears in her hand.

"word to the wise," sighs chess, and suddenly her hair is filled with poppy red, flowers blooming and covering the blood from an inconspicuous stab hidden beneath her jacket.

clark, instead, seems to be spiralling, twisting the ring around his finger until it warps into a bloody knife. "here's a little snippet of advice," he sings.

three fates, always singing in the back of her mind, in front of her vision. here, they mock her. clark places the knife he is twisting before riley, and it hovers there as the spirits disappear. "men are fools, men are frail, give them the rope and they'll hang themselves."

I literally just typed out a long ass reply and then tumblr decided to crash - but maybe it's a sign to try and keep it shorter (update: i failed)

for the maze runner thing, it was honestly just about the "people appearing one after another without memories" I think aside from that it's very different, especially in terms of general atmosphere. I've read Day 1 too now btw and I loved it sm! I'm really intrigued to see how it continues<3

Also imma be honest as well - i'm the same. Birthright is the only one I finished and other than that I'm like almost through with awakening, halfway with echoes and revelations and idek how far with three houses. I think I get too much into strategizing and spend too much time planning out the classes and skills instead of just playing and then I tend to abandon the games for a while...

So since I'm not super deep into the story myself my 3h au isn't that deep. Y/n would take Byleths place, simply because it makes a lot of sense. And then I sorta assigned the units to the houses based on Vibes TM aka Blue Lions - HHU, Black Eagles - Vocal, Golden Deer Tiger - Performance.

I also felt that some characters shared traits or reminded me of members (Linhardt - Han, Ferdinand - Seungkwan, Sylvain - Mingyu, Claude - Hoshi, Ignatz - Hao). But they'd mostly be themselves and not take over the exact role of anyone. I've also have thoughts on classes for some but not for all. I think Woozi would be something along the lines of a General, Han would be a Dark Mage, Hoshi a Hero, Scoups a Swordmaster or Cavalier (or anything else just give the man a sword) and- yeah I think I'll end it here

1.How has your day been?

Better than yesterday. Not much pain, and I wrote some words, so we will ignore the fact that we had temperatures that should have made today one of the coldest days of winter but on the last day of April.

2.What was the last thing that made you smile?

D made an obscure Doctor Who reference. (The city that goes “bong”, if you’re wondering. And if you know which story that was from, you’ve probably been watching Doctor Who for approximately as long as I have. Hint: not from the new series.)

3.What is keeping you entertained these days?

Taking the dog for a walk every day is stopping me from going stir-crazy. 

I was doing a re-watch of The West Wing and got stuck on Season 5. Again. (I have watched it all the way through several times, so I know it improves again, but Season 5 saps me of more and more enjoyment the further through I get.) @slipsthrufingers​ thinks I should watch Tiger King, so maybe that one will be next.

4. If you are in some kind of quarantine/self-isolation: is there anything you’d like to achieve at this time?

Manage to keep writing? It’s much more of a challenge than usual because coronavirus means that I can’t get treated by the therapist who’s been keeping my chronic pain at much lower levels than I’ve had in about two decades. (And yes, I am aware of the irony of this, given that I’m writing an AU where Brienne is a physiotherapist atm.) That therapist is the reason I’ve been able to write so much in the past year. I am missing her more than anything else I’ve had to give up since I stopped going almost anywhere.

Billy learned how to embroider because he needed a way to fix his clothes that also didn't make them look just like he had mashed random fabric together.

He got taught by an old lady who lives near the diner he goes to most days (she has no grandchildren and Billy has been great company).

He got into the habit so now he does it everytime there's something to repair. Little flowers, birds, tigers and (most prominently) lightning bolts start appearing on all his clothes.

When he joins the Justice League he starts trying to figure out how to do little designs of everyone's logo and when the time comes he uses his skill and the hero's respective logo to help fix their clothes and uniforms.

He once stitched back Batman's cape, even though the next day he was saddened by seeing that Bruce was using a new one (the fixed cape was secured inside a glass display).

Flash starts bringing him all the stuff he tears because he loves the little additions. He even buys the thread and needles for the Captain since he's making him use so much of it. Cap's fine with it, it's a good way to spend monitor duty.

Diana once payed him (she insisted because no labor should go unrewarded) to decorate a dress for an upcoming event she was planning to go to.

What if Danny's connection to the JL was Flash? Iirc Bart is a forensic scientist. So...

Danny being the victim of a homicide and taking too long to regenerate because he's too far from Amity and the portal's constant stream of ecto. So Bart gets put in charge of figuring out who he is and what happened to him. and he realizes "oh fuck the kids a meta" because... Danny's blood.

And then Danny wakes up, freaks out because he's never woken up in a morgue before and runs before the police notices and contacts the GIW

Now Bart has a meta runaway victim of homicide in Central city and he has to decide whether contacting the JL Dark is worth it.

Imagine if Danny ends up in Gotham and starts vigilante-ing. The bats let him, so they must know him, must approve of him in some way.

And, well, Danny is not shy to say he's a ghost or make death jokes. Kid seems to particularly dislike the Joker...

Rumors start going around. People connect dots (are they right though?) And well... A dead kid, who the bats help out, seems to really hate the Joker most of all, seems to be fixated on helping people...

They assume this new vigilante is just the ghost of Robin, who died not too long ago (iirc Jason stays dead for like a year. But like sliding timeline. It's confusing)

Now, the question is: do the bats also think this? If so, they probably don't mention Jason's name or call him Robin. Kids going around calling himself Phantom, least they can do is respect his wish. He doesn't seem to remember his life (because he wasn't the one who lives it but what do they know) so they try to not mention that either.

Jason comes back and is very confused when he hears about this new meta who people seem to be certain is the second Robin.

when the day met the night (ch. 3)

yo hey so it's been a while so here's a v long chapter(or at least long compared to the first two) for you guys! due to the fact that I am restricted to posting on mobile for the next few days at least, I am unable to link to the previous chapters as well as ao3, but the chapter will be posted there as well and both previous chapters can also be found on my blog:) enjoy!

Skip to three hours later and Eddie is counting down the last few minutes until he and Stan can finally close up shop and go home. No one goes shopping for flowers at nine o’clock at night, but apparently they have to keep the shop open until then just in case.

No one had ever come in after seven before.

That is, until that day.

Bev took her best friend by the wrist and practically dragged him out of his own truck. She led him inside, almost jumping at the sound of the bell chiming, and Richie immediately groaned.

“C’mon, hun, you can’t do this forever,” she whisper-scolded as the two approached the front counter where two very surprised boys stood awkwardly.

“H-hello? How can we help you?” Stan asked, nervously looking at the two as Richie immediately straightened up and smiled a little at the familiar small boy.

Bev seemed to have a plan, but none of that stopped Richie from thinking he was going to just make a fool of himself in front of the two.

“Hey boys, well this dipshit over here was supposed to give me a tattoo today, but I was feeling a bit sick and didn’t come into work, so now I had to drag him down here to do it, so could I get your help with this?” She looked right at Eddie as she said it, reading the name on his tag that Richie had told her earlier. He looked terrified, honestly.

Then again, in the middle of the night, two nineteen-year-olds in matching leather jackets and a girl with about five piercings, just that they could see, waltzed into their tiny little shop talking about tattoos, so they couldn’t blame him.

“I need floral advice,” she spoke with an awkward authoritativeness as she folded her arms over her chest. Her sleeves rode up slightly, revealing a slingshot tattooed on her hand mirroring the shape of her thumb and pointer finger.

The two boys looked between each other before Stan nudged Eddie, sending him to the two friends.

“I don’t know shit about tattoos, but if you’re looking for flowers I can at least try,” he said with a shy smile as Beverly beamed.

“Perfect! I’ve been wanting something on the more traditional side for ages now, but maybe if you have any bad-ass looking flowers or maybe something with a cool meaning, then I’ll get it inked.”

Eddie looked terrified behind his eyes, understandably overwhelmed by the pressure of choosing a stranger’s tattoo. He walked towards a display on the wall and began to look through dozens of colors and types of flowers, his hands shaking slightly.

“Hey, don’t worry about it, seriously, anything you could come up with is about a hundred times better than anything I could, Eds,” Richie said softly, yet still with a hint of comedic tone in his voice as he approached the smaller boy.

Eddie blushed, keeping his eyes on the flowers and refusing to look the boy in the eye.

“Don’t call me Eds,” he grumbled so quietly it was almost inaudible.

Richie smirked, leaning in closer to the boy.

“What was that, Eds?”

Eddie groaned, still blushing to himself.

“Shut up, asshole, just help me look around.”

Richie backed up, his hands raised in mock surrender as he smirked, pleased with himself. He dug through the baskets and displays, not really knowing what he was looking for, before all of a sudden Beverly squealed.

“This one! Holy shit, this one is perfect!” She was practically bouncing up and down ad Eddie walked up beside her and took the single flower from her hands.

“Ah yes, gladiolus. Strength of character, good choice,” Eddie spoke, sounding so sweet Richie thought he could get a cavity just standing next to him. He was too sweet for Richie Tozier.

Beverly, however, was practically ecstatic over this entirely-unplanned and unscheduled tattoo that she literally just came up with as an excuse to meet the boy her best friend was absolutely whipped over.

Stan, from behind the cash register, just waved her off; partly because he was lazy and just wanting to close the shop, but also taking an immediate liking to the girl. She grinned, taking Richie by the wrist and giddily pulling him towards the door. Sure, he was still confused out of his mind at her plan, but slid his arm out of Bev’s grasp and stopped in the doorway. Bev froze, looking up at her much-taller friend with such surprise as she watched the blush spread across his face.

“Rich-“

“I want to try,” he whispered nervously. A small smile crept onto his face.

Beverly Marsh would’ve cried right there if she wasn’t so damn happy. Almost two years later and she had never been more proud of her best friend.

“Go get ‘em, tiger,” she whispered back, stepping outside and climbing into the passenger seat of Richie’s truck to wait.

Richie took a deep breath and spun around on his heels to see two confused boys awkwardly waiting to close their shop. Richie rubbed the back of his neck as he walked up to the small boy restocking the displays.

“Hey there, Eds,” he began, his breath catching in his throat as the other looked up at him with soft brown eyes that he rolled dramatically at the nickname.

“Didn’t think I’d be seeing you back here today,” Eddie joked, immediately heightening Richie's nerves. He was seconds away from running out that door and never coming back. "But I'm glad you did."

Oh. Oh.

"What can I say, Eds. You and your mom have a lot in common; y'always leave me wanting more," he said sarcastically, resorting to his personal favorite mode of feeling-coverups. He knew it was offensive, he knew it was the reason most people he knew all his life hated him, but humor came easily to him and Richie Tozier wasn't one to care what other people thought about him.

Well, that was a lie, but no one else needed to know that.

"Fuck off, trashmouth," Eddie teased, not dropping his smile, to Richie's pleasant surprise.

If there was a way to describe that smile, Richie would tell you it was just 'fucking perfect'.

"Alright, alright," Richie chuckled, trying to convince himself he was okay and that he was making progress. "I just thought I'd test the waters a bit."

Eddie smirked, folding his arms over his chest and leaning up against the wall behind him. He had no clue where this confidence was coming from, but it felt good. He was comfortable.

"Shoot," he provoked as Richie immediately grew more nervous than he had ever anticipated.

It was rough. He hadn't said those words before in his life, but he was Richie Tozier and he was going to try, goddamnit.

"Are you dating anyone right now?" He ripped off the bandage and couldn't even look the boy in the eyes once he words left his mouth. One more second of silence and he'd be sprinting out the door.

Eddie did a double take at the question. No, he hadn't dated anyone before. He hadn't even gone on a date since high school, but this boy just made his stomach fill with butterflies and twist and churn in the best possible way.

"No, I don't have a boyfriend, if that's what you mean."

Richie would tell you it felt like his heart did a fucking backflip. Eddie couldn't even believe what he was doing. It was like he was under a spell and suddenly the small, anxious boy had the confidence of, well, anyone else.

"Perfect. I'll see ya’ around, Eddie Spaghetti!” Richie grinned, spinning around on his heeled boots and heading for the door.

“Wait!” Eddie called out, both boys smiling at the repetition of their meeting that afternoon. “I still never got your name.”

Richie smirked and walked back over to the boy, bending over slightly and extending his hand out to the other.

“Richie Tozier’s my name,” he said in what Eddie could only describe as a shockingly-impressive yet unidentifiable accent. “And, as of recently, embarrassing myself in front of cute boys is my game."

Eddie laughed, like actually whole-heartedly laughed, and felt his heart surge at the compliment. He could already tell the color of his cheeks.

“Well if it makes a difference, I'd say you're doin’ pretty good so far.”

Richie Tozier hadn't smiled that wide in years.

He left the building with happy tears brimming in his eyes as he climbed into the drivers seat of his truck and turned to Beverly waiting beside him.

“Baby steps, Bevvie,” he spoke in barely a whisper as his tears threatened to fall and the smile on his face held strong. She threw her arms around her best friend and they sat there for about ten minutes before Richie finally took her home.

He fell asleep with a smile on his face that night.

I’m BACK! Why I’ve been gone and what I’ve been up to – Ania.B

It’s been so so long my friends. I would apologize BUT it was time well deserved and much needed. I did not walk away from my blog, far from it. We have been busier than ever and growing a business is no easy feat. Burn out is a word we are all familiar with, a catch all for millennials and the world’s problems. But burn out is all too real and we encounter the topic often especially when talking to fellow creators. Entrepreneurial spirit speaks to so many of us who can not handle the 9-5 grind, but who are we kidding, the grind is actually more intense when you work for yourself. I am excited to finally be able to check in with you on the world wide web again. Instagram is great and all but there is only so much you can say in a limited amount of characters. In truth the blog was broken for a few months, fixing it was put off for far too long. I even started taking coding classes just so this never has to happen again. Ask me in 6 months how that is going! It did end up being a much needed break. Self love is all about knowing when to stop just as much as it is about when to pick up again.

In the time away from the web browser I was able to focus some more attention on myself, and I wish I could tell you that I joined some bad ass classes and got a black belt in karate, or that I am now a champion chess player, but instead I took time to spend with my family, organize my life a little bit, and even though it’s not karate we did join a gym to keep moving and stay healthy, and my brother and nephew came along for the ride so we can all motivate each other. None of us is a stranger to how fast that motivational flame can extinguish when your heart and soul is just not on that elliptical with you. This post is a little glimpse into that journey. I won’t lie, it’s not been the Rocky training montage I was envisioning in my head but I will give us credit for getting to that gym somewhat regularly. Travel is not included and to be fair that does cut a lot into our work-out time. It’s being at home that’s keeping us out of shape: editing at a desk or in bed, sometimes all day everyday, driving everywhere and generally not accounting for energy gained vs. energy lost. I also have to shamefully admit that with age your body does after all require different kinds of love then it did when it was in it’s teens. ‘They’ tell you this all the time, but nobody ever listens. Well I’m here to tell you that ‘They’ are totally right and I think my time has come. It’s been an adjustment, especially because our lives are so irregular and quite literally go against any kind of routine.

Besides getting the fam on board for motivation I have been picking up my Apple Watch so much more often these last few months. Ever since our Whistler adventure getting to know the watch environment I have been so much more confident in the benefits it has been bringing to our lives. Of course fall detection for my mum has been critical and with the most recent series 5 launch we also now have EKG available in Canada to monitor the heart whenever we need it. The idea of closing our activity rings has also been integral to the the way we view time spent moving all together. We will pick up and go for a walk or take a moment to breathe thanks to the stats we get on the Apple Watch. If you watched the Apple Keynote  you will know about this year’s addition of the titanium and ceramic watch faces, both to be worn in very different ways (one more stylish and streamlined, the other optimized for performance and lightweight, can you guess which is which?). The biggest news this year for the watch has been the alway-on-display, which has been highly requested, though as a the watch wearer I was never bothered by the on/off jerk action you needed to make to see the display AND there has been some talk about the battery life being affected as a result, something which the jury is still out on, if you ask me. Some other new and very useful features include a built in compass and cycle tracking for women, the watch no longer takes data from our phones but has it available in the device itself,  the two are becoming more and more independent of each other so you will not longer need the phone to have full functionality of your watch. And just to put things in perspective, a fertility watch alone can set you back $400! If you are still rocking the series 3 watch and wondering if you need to upgrade the answer is 100% yes! These are some game changing features that you do not want to miss out on and having them all in one place and on your wrist no less is the future of technology we could only dream about when we were using our calculator Casio watches in elementary school!

As for working out, I am still working through my bodies capabilities. My 16 year old nephew proved to be quite a personal trainer and knows everything there is to know about how to work the human body. I loved being able to learn something from him. My current circuit includes the treadmill, bicep and tricep curls, squats, sit ups, and when my back has had enough of those (which as it turns out it does more often than I’d like to admit) I will switch those out for suspended leg lifts. I have also been playing around with the Nike Training Club (NTC) app for some suggested exercises to keep myself from the monotony of a routine, from which, as I mentioned earlier, I am so far removed. And for those of you curious to peek into this aspect of our lives, or just to relate, send me a DM and a follow request on my private account @healthyania. I’m hoping to keep this as a space for myself to track progress, document my favourite ways around the gym and just to stay accountable. Cue ‘Eye of the Tiger��� on my ‘Beast Mode’ playlist!
