✨️trop men and if they could get you off based mostly on vibes ✨️
💕Now to level the playing field let's give a simple y/n on if they could get the job done during your first time together and the overall mood of the evening. Mildly nsfw (I'm not gonna get too detailed...unless 👀)
Adar💀 Yes. Woof, not to get too crass right off the bat but daddy is the name he earned so yes absolutely. Also brace yourself it will be kinkier than you think and it will awaken something in you. And it would start off painfully slow just easing you into it lightly. Seems like a great opportunity to try things you've been curious about but beware you're getting into like five kinks that haven't even crossed you mind before. One minute you're having a romantic candle lit dinner then Bam youre wearing a chain collar with his name on it.
Elrond 😇 Oh, god bless. No. Baby I'm sorry but no. That being said it would still be a great time with really positive vibes. But Elrond would get too in his own head thinking about options and the best 'plan of attack' to actually deliver. Plus he would play it super safe not wanting to off put you in anyway and thus would kill the passion a bit. Still would be the biggest sweetheart and over all give you a fun time. (Give him time to build his confidence though lotr Elrond Fucks for sure)
Halbrand 🐶 LISTEN Listen listen...No. Hear me out. I just-I feel it in my blood that this guy will rizz you so hard and talk such a big game and than when he time comes it's just ok at best. Like he's made at least one person come before and thinks he has cracked the code. Still his heart's (seemingly) in the right place and its pretty romantic over all. Lots and lots of cuddling.
Annatar 🐱 Yes. And it's amazing but the vibes are terrible. He gets way too intense too fast. He's the kind of guy to say some really weird shit during. Like not even anything dirty just waxing poetic about how you're part of each now and the bond of your bodies is inescapable even in death. And he waaay into talking about how you belong to him now and you're just like?? Is he just talking crazy in the heat of the moment or ?? Also no aftercare and he's 100% gone when you wake up.
Arondir 🏹 Yes. And it's Good but not as romantic as you were hoping. He's into you but Arondir def doesn't realize what a catch he is and is surprised that you're so here for him. Also buddy's got a lot going on so he's still gonna be pretty guarded emotionally. Still he's extremely respectful and such a good kisser like he's got your head spinning and you've barely started.
Elendil 🗡 No. But he tries hard and it's a great time. He's kinda got that big puppy Halbrand thing going on but like genuine. Def more into you than you are him. Elendil will rizz you with care. Pays very close attention to what you like/want. Even if it doesnt happen he's fine with talking about it, even makes a few light jokes at his expense. He's terribly good at putting you at ease. By the end of the night you're more smitten than you first thought.
Celebrimor 💍 Yes. Are you kidding me?We're talking mastery, we're talking attentiveness, we're talking about a very smitten old man that's going to court you with his whole heart. The vibes are impeccable and he's going to make it known that taking care of you is his top priority. Additionally I can't explain why but you know this man's head game is god tier.
Gil Galad 🏵 Yes. Don't even get me started on how this man is gonna rock your world. The high king is a big guy so it's go big or go home when it comes to love and affection. He doesn't allow himself to pursue romance often but when he does he goes hard. In terms of the act itself and the amount of extravagance and detail he'd put into wooing you. Plus cmon you know he's stressed and pent up as hell. Brace yourself for being be absolutely worshipped All night. You're in for a wicked case of jelly legs and you're not going anywhere.

Reactions to Crazier Bastard's Chapter 320
Brief summary: Perspectives of HD, Rasheel, Sheritt, and Neo regarding the effects of Cale's DA on them and others. Neo is bound by chains and returns to his old man self form.
==========
The entire chapter had me laughing because of all the god Cale flags and the "poetic" descriptions of DA's effect on everyone. 🤣🤣🤣
First off, HD was shocked that he was scared of Cale now. He was confused too because he was scared of Cale's aura, but also felt warmth from it. If you recall, the imoogi's power that went into the crown that Cale got in Central Plains was that of warmth. So everyone was feeling scared but also warm.
And then there was this POV of HD:
I was scared, but I felt warm. What could that be? It was warm. As if- 'Yes. If there is a god who cares about us.' If god, an absolute being, was compassionate towards humans. Wouldn't it be like this? "Ha." It's a ridiculous idea. Cale Henituse is human. A very strong one. 'And-' Good. Yes, he is. No matter how hard he tries to keep his exterior aloof and cold, he is a good man at heart. That's him. "Right." This aura belongs to him. In fact, it suits Cale Henituse better now than it did before.
Cale, this is serious. Even HD is being drawn to Caleism... 😂😂😂
Next was Rasheel's turn. He described Cale's DA to be fully directed to all dragons, ally or foe. Yeah, he was also scared of Cale too, feeling like a prey in front of a predator. But it seemed like Cale's DA had become too OP that Rasheel noticed that even mana, something that was never scared of anything, was running away from Cale... 🤣🤣🤣
Rasheel didn't know the full extent of it, but he could sense that there was something fundamental about the aura Cale Henituse was using that would make a dragon fear him now. That, too. 'God.' He had a powerful aura that reminded me of a god. Even with all of Rasheel's Dragon Fear, Cale Henituse's aura could not be defeated. And that went for the other dragons as well.
Ah, Cale. Rasheel thinks you're like a god too now. 😂😂😂 There was also a flashback to the dragons's conversation about Cale having a "world" inside him, and Rasheel thinking that the Aipotu people looking at Cale right now was like how the elves view the WT. The Aipotu people looked at Cale as if he was their world, their home... I see... So that was how Caleism was founded in Aipotu... 🤣🤣🤣
Meanwhile, Sheritt also recalled the stuff about Cale being a godlike, and thought it was just nonsense. Well, at least there was someone on Cale's side.
There was the Neo's POV too. With the fluctuating mana around him, he couldn't properly use mana now, so he was unable to maintain his young look, turning back to his frail old man self look.
I'm curious though on why dragons couldn't become gods. The wanderer from the Five-Colored Bloods told Neo that even if a dragon became god, he would be a loner because the other gods would not recognize him.
Ending Remarks DA's effects were usually described poetically, but today, it took the form of multiple point-of-views of characters. And encompassed an entire chapter. Also planted more flags about Cale's godhood. 😂😂😂
Next chapter would probably be Neo's death scene. Given how weak Neo had become, I don't think Cale would have to use Instant just to kill Neo.

I loved all of what Sarah highlighted in her interview today and I'll elaborate a bit especially on the romance part:
In Maas’ fantasy worlds, love interests often exist as fated “mates,” with invisible strings between them that are powerful and often poetic. Readers can see the literary metaphors, like complementary powers between two characters. But other times, there are no metaphors, with their connection initially seeming random.
She's too attached to the mate trope and I like that she gives us different cases and scenarios for it, otherwise it'll be boring.
“Sometimes, I will write a scene with two characters that I’ve planned for them to get together, and then they have no …” She shakes her head slightly at me. “It’s like holding two dolls and being like, now kiss! And they won’t. … And then sometimes a different character will walk in and they will just” — she snaps.
I yelled at this part because it's as if she plucked the scene from Azriel's bonus chapter and used it as an example. Those parallels between Elain and Gwyn are intentional. It doesn't mean Elain is bad it's just their dynamic doesn't work as a couple and it was obvious to the author. I know she didn't specify who this was about but like, come on, who tried to kiss and which character showed up in a bonus chapter after that depressing scene and gave a glimmer of hope?
“It feels like magic in a way where, as much as I tried to plot out things years in advance, I let my characters guide a story. And they usually wind up with the people that they need to be with and who offer them the most growth and joy.”
I love this so much and allow me to speak about my favorite ship and its because the snippets we saw of Az and Gwyn together especially in the bonus chapter brought out a lighter version of Az. His scenes with Gwyn were light-hearted and the bonus chapter ends on a hopeful note for them. It's hard to deny that connection between them whether you theorize she's luring him or they're mates, those theories wouldn't exist if she had no ties to him (she's in his own chapter like come on).
I go the philosophical route with my next question: We’re talking about fate here, but at what point is a character the agent of their own fate? What happens if someone rejects their mate? (Listen, if I were Fae and I didn’t like my mate, whatever God chose for me is not my business.)
People are jumping the gun and assume this example is set to be Elucien but... we have Helion and Lady of Autumn likely being an example of a tragic rejected mates story (if you read ACOWAR and their history it's obvious they're mates). Maybe it's Mor and Eris and that's the secret that ties them to each other. We have other characters from other series too.
For a convincing mate rejection story in my opinion, it needs more than one book or it's a case that we see with side characters where we can see their history and the long-term implications of a rejected bond.
It's too easy of a story to have one person's central conflict be the words "no I reject you" and they're done. Again, this is not exclusive to ACOTAR but also her other series.
“That’s something I find to be very interesting,” she replies. “What if the forces that be put you with the wrong person? Or what if you just decide, eh, I’m not interested. … There’s a lot to explore within the concept of mates and your agency about it.
The concept of agency is something many readers in the fandom discussed especially when it comes to mating bonds and there were arguments on (would Rhys fell for Feyre if she wasn't his mate or would have Cassian fell for Nesta if she wasn't his mate). We know that some mates don't work out but stay together because their dynamic is unhealthy (Rhys's and Tamlin's parents). We got examples of a loveless mating bond already.
We also saw that Nesta didn't immediately accept the term "mate" because it would mean cutting off her last tether with humanity. It's not a matter of "you're my mate" "yes I'll be with you", the dynamic between the mated couple is important to explore.
“I’m not going to say if I am exploring it in future books or not,” she continues, “but it definitely offers a wealth of things to explore with this concept of freewill and what is true love. Is it something that’s destined? Or is it something that you make? Is it both?”
This part aligns with what I think about Elucien. We never had a mated pairing who knew they were mates but are not in love with each other. Every mated couple found out they're mates when they were already in love.
Can a destined love turn into true love? Or do you settle for a destined love without love being in the equation. Love wasn't in the equation for Rhys's parents, but love was the equation for Feysand and Nessian. Elucien was left unexplored for a reason and both Elain and Lucien view each other by label "mate", they didn't have a chance to get to know each other. So it's going to be very interesting to see them navigate their feelings for each other despite the mating bond.
I didn't expect her to elaborate a lot on this but I love that she did and I hope in future interviews she gives us more good bits about her writing and examples of the decisions she took for some characters and couples.
Didn't expect this post to be long but happy reading! I'm still reeling from HOFAS 🥲

4: fate is fickle ; gojo satoru
pairing gojo satoru x fem!reader
summary when satoru breaks off your engagement, you understand and accept it. but when he marries someone else, you don't understand because he didn't want to be tied down.
content warnings family problems, bad, sad, emotional infidelity, dangerously short chapter im sorry getting you ready for the next one <;33 flashback flashback y did satoru end it with u??

People said promising yourself to someone you love was euphoric; it was a feeling you couldn’t achieve through any other form of happiness or drugs. Satoru believed that because when he asked you to marry him and you said yes, he felt as though he could rearrange and hang every star in the sky to spell your names for the rest of eternity. It was electric, the feeling, and he couldn’t get enough of it.
But Satoru wasn’t somebody who was ever in the midst of two lines; if he was happy, he was so fucking happy, and if he was sad, he was so fucking sad.
Growing up in his home hadn’t taught him many things, but he’d come out of it with two lessons he’d always abide by:
Never, ever make promises you can’t keep.
If you can go against Gojo Takayashi’s wishes, do it.
He knew that he should wait to tell his parents about his engagement with you until you were with him, which is why he didn’t let it slip during the first dinner he had with his parents since he put a ring on your finger. When his father said he’d invited a guest over, Satoru felt more at ease to keep his mouth shut because, even though his parents were not his favorite people, he was itching to see their reaction. The little boy that lived somewhere in the abyss of his mind expected them to pop champagne, for his mother to immediately call each and every one of the people she knew to tell them the good news, for his father to pat him on the back with a gleeful smile that made him feel like he’d at least done one thing to make him proud.
And, even though his second rule was to always strive to go against his father, he felt it would be some sort of a twisted poetic number for his father to be proud of him for loving you. For you loving him back.
Kimura Hana was pleasant, and her parents even more so. Despite that, both children on the dinner table that night had a hard time trying to entertain themselves with the dull conversation. Their fathers droned on about their next upcoming business ventures, constantly toasting to the point they’d made a toast to the art of toasting, claiming that it was the best excuse for people to down more alcohol with good intention.
Hana kicked his leg underneath the table from beside him and Satoru, Y/N-loving, elated-over-his-engagement-in-private Satoru, almost sent her a glare for being so close to him. But he covered it when he noticed a small napkin she passed his way, a small giggle leaving her lips.
He opened it, and there he read, in pretty and small handwriting with red ink:
this is sooooo boring.
He looked around and patted his pockets subtly when her lithe fingers reached out, right above his lap, and offered him a pen. He gave her a small smile before replying:
If i have to hear another stupid toast, I’m going back to my room
She scanned his reply, and he noticed her lips curve up upwards as she did. Satoru leaned back, fork mushing the leftovers of his desert as he waited for her. Her hands reached down, and placed it right on his thigh and he almost jolted at the slight hint of her fingers against his jean-clad thighs.
He shakily opened the response, a misplaced sense of guilt ravishing his brain.
what about me???
He tried not to think much before he replied, reminding himself that this was friendly. She was being friendly.
You can come up too. I’d hate to leave you here with the wolves.
“Gojo,” Hana said, her voice loud enough for the entire table to hear. Satoru turned to her, raising his brows. “You wanted to show me that book, right?” She turned to her mother. “Ma, do we have enough time for me to go up and check it out?”
Her mother smiled a very specific kind of smile, and Satoru once again reminded himself that this was friendly.
“Oh, of course. With the way things are going, I think we have about twenty more toasts to go.”
Satoru glanced back at his father who, in his drunken stupor, paid him no mind while his mother barely looked his way, eyes focused on the empty plate below her.
When Hana went through his small bookshelf, something he didn’t think she’d actually do, he sat on his messy bed and watched her. She stopped at one of the books and pulled it out, a small smile on her lips as she turned back to look at Satoru.
“What is this?” she asked, plopping down on the bed as she scanned a CD he’d placed in the middle of all the books. It was something Geto had given him once after a fight he’d had with you two months into your relationship, and if he remembered correctly, he’d written, on top of the case with a thick, black marker: move on bro!! Geto had brought it up in one of your recent conversations and said he wasn’t right in the head to think either of you could ever move on from the other, and followed that statement by saying you were meant for each other.
“Uh, my friend gave it to me after I had a… well—”
“A breakup?”
It was a small falling out, but he didn’t correct her because it was so long ago. So, he nodded.
“Breakups are so—they’re so annoying.”
Satoru chuckled, curious. “Got your heart broke or somethin’?”
She shook her head vigorously, as though she hated that statement with every fiber in her bones. “No, at least not recently. Probably because I hate the idea of meaningless relationships.”
Meaningless relationships? “Elaborate.”
“I don’t know! Like, I’ve thought about it and I just don’t see the reason to tie myself down to someone, you know? I’m young and I have a lot of time to get serious and have joint bank accounts but now? I feel like if I ever tied myself down, it’d end sometime because we end up hating each other for holding each other back while we’re so young.”
He tried not to think about her words too much, but it was hard. He was sure she’d say something completely different were he to tell him about you and your engagement, sugarcoating her words and saying stuff like not you! I’m just talking about me, of course. And that was what he didn’t want. He appreciated her brutal honesty because she was unknowingly giving her perspective on something he hadn’t thought about before getting engaged.
You love her and you’re her fiance, a part of his mind told him, holding him back from probing further. But another part, the part of him that was always scared over one thing or another pushed him to ask her more.
And he did, he asked until he was unconsciously convincing himself that the two of you shouldn’t go through with this, but not enough for him to break it off with you.
What did convince him to break it off with you was something that happened around a month later, after he and Hana had hung out plenty of times due to the increasing closeness of their parents. It was because he found himself shifting his chair closer to hers during dinner. It was because he unconsciously raised his thigh everytime she passed him a note and didn’t reach out his hand so her fingers would graze over it. It was because he was texting her more than he was texting you, and a part of him didn’t seem to mind it.
He knew it was wrong, despite the plethora of times he tried to convince himself that it was platonic. He couldn’t deny that there was something so utterly wrong about how he didn’t want to tell Hana that he was engaged to you. He didn’t end it with you after doing something that would instantly cross the line he’d been teetering over the edge of for a month, he ended it with you when he felt like if she would cross that line unknowingly, he wouldn’t stop himself from giving in.
And Satoru didn’t want to cross that line.

Slow down for a moment. Allow your heart to guide you, to tell you if there is really a message here for you and behind which image it hides... And whatever the answer is, feel free to listen to it or to let go. Remembering that whenever you will be ready or will have the need, your true message will find its way to you.♡
_
Your message is right after this little question from me. You don't need to stop here and let me know your opinion - but it would be really helpful and important for me if you decide to do so!♡
_
Hi!♡ This blog grows day by day, and I really want to make it as comfortable and interesting as possible for every beautiful soul that finds and joins us!♡ For this reason I would like to know your opinion regarding something... To connect to this World, to our Guardians that are always by our side and ready to help us, I use my trusted tarot cards. And I always mentioned the cards that come out for every message and pile... But thinking about it, I realized that perhaps there might be many people that enjoy the guidance and messages on this platform regardless of where or from whom they are coming from. So I wanted to ask you...
Thank you for helping me out!♡
_
It's so painful, so tiring... To look at your life right now with all its challenges, constant ups and downs that never give you the time to enjoy a little moment of peace... Never allow you to breath remaining in the now that so rarely feels safe... The same things again and again, repeating themselves through different people or situations... But still and always coming back, as if you never did all that hard work, never tried and gave your best, never deserved some reassurance and serenity for all the lessons that you've endured...
It makes your heart ache, your mind feels heavy and so confused... Creating a natural need to escape. To hope that somewhere or through someone you can find the keys to a different reality, get to know about the mysterious destiny of your soul. Something deeply different from what you are forced to live right now, but more familiar and needed to make you feel your truest self, to make you feel at the right for you place and time.
But... No matter how many challenges, how many obstacles and battles that this life puts on your shoulders, making you face them no matter if you are ready or not... It's still your life. It's still a journey, an adventure, a story that is unique to you. That you once imagined and created in your mind the same way you are doing now, trying to hide from the present moment and this life.
You see in you memories a deeper meaning, more fulfilling adventures, romantic and poetic lives. You find yourself feeling that sour and subtle mourning of the lives that seemed so much more, so much better, so more right for your soul then the one of the now. And without realising it, or perhaps contrary knowing it, you try to shut this life down, to skip it by hiding in those memories, visions and dreams... Forgetting a tiny but important detail: that those are past lives for a reason. The same one for which your heart, your own soul, decided to live once more, to experience more, to feel something more and different. Something that you never experienced and lived before.
It might be frustrating now, perhaps it is your whole life that you can remember... But it's still your life, the one that you are meant to live now, grow into, and shift adapting it to your dreams. And those are still memories, still past lives, still things that were not enough for your soul back then, not enough to make you stop from experiencing this Universe through many more lives. Exactly like this life seems not enough for you now.
You will always keep them in your heart, those experiences, those adventures and moments that you got through in all those centuries, making you be who you are now. They will always talk to you, sometimes even guide you. Those past versions of you will always speak to you and remind you of something that you now are not really able to understand... The fact that it is not this life that is too difficult, not right, somehow wrong and torturing for you, too hard to deal with and overcome, and simply not how you want or need it to be, never enough... But it's just the desire in you that you were never able to satisfy, traveling through literal lives to find that something more... It's just the excitement and wander for what else there might be out there, how else you can experience a human life. That feeling that now... Is being slightly misunderstood, confused and influenced by the hardships and obstacles in your life. The one that your own self, through space and time, is trying to explain to you, by gently reminding you that those stories, those things.... You already did them, you already lived them. And that much more that you are seeking is ahead of you and not behind.
_
You feel so stuck, so overwhelmed, so lost between all these options and possible mistakes in front of you that seem all the same. Making it impossible for you to choose the right thing... And overwhelming you with the paralysing fear of choosing the worst.
It is tiring, not being able to choose or find a solution no matter how much you look around, no matter how much these situations surround and pressure you, demanding your attention right here and now...
And seeing all these dreams, remembering those moments... Seems just a mean joke of your subconscious mind that reminds you of others, perhaps better situations, so different from what you are forced to deal with now.
But is it really? Is your own subconscious mind so mean and determined to confuse you only more? Or is it perhaps your own self that tries to remind you something... That tries to show you how many moments, situations, literal lives you were already able to live through and overcome?
Is it adding more salt to your fresh wounds, or is it trying to show you how much strength, courage and inventiveness you have hidden in your heart? Is it mocking you with the lives that you can't have, or is it trying to help you shift your perspective, making you realise how much potential has the life that you live now?
It might not feel like it at all now - but you have an incredible power, such a strong spirit within you. The ones that can transform every obstacle, every fearful moment in a mere chapter, followed by another one. It is not the end, what you are going through will not be able to destroy you. You are not consumed completely, you are not hopeless without any possibility to get out...
You are only tired. You just need a moment to stay still and recharge your energy again, thanks to the powerful and almost magical work of your mind and heart. And this... Doesn't mean that you are weak, or falling behind everyone else in your life. It is only a moment of rest that even the strongest heroes need, before overcoming amazingly every obstacle that they come across in the adventure of their life.
You got this. The same way you did in the past, in this or other lives. There is nothing that you can't overcome, resolve, manifest or experience. And those mistakes that seem so scary and dangerous now... are just ways to spice this story up. Adding more character and worth to you, the one who will one day be looked at with admiration for your strength and courage to, sometimes, mess up. Learning even more about yourself, your abilities, and the different aspects of this world and this life.

The Hardest Thing to Say
Jaune: (Reading)
Cinder: (Climbing in through window) Well, hello there~.
Jaune: Ugh...
Cinder: So, I noticed you haven't been replied to a single meme I've sent you so I was wondering why you've been ignoring me.
Jaune: I thought me not saying "ha ha" was enough to get across that I didn't want to talk right now.
Cinder: Oh, come the fuck on, Arc, we're just going through a rough patch. Besides, you always want to hear from me~.
Jaune: (Sighs) Okay, Cinder. What do you want?
Cinder: I want to feel like I'm earning this partnership, so get your hands off that book and on my ass so you can SMACK it~!
Jaune: Wow. How poetic. I bet you really thought I'd be putty in your hands by now, huh?
Cinder: Er... Right, so... Okay, that was a shitty way for me to say it, but you usually like it when I dirty talk to you.
Jaune: (Scowls)
Cinder: (Groans) Come on! We don't words! We sex!
Jaune: This might be a surprise to you, Cinder, but I don't want "to sex." In fact, I don't even want to "words" with you! So would you please respect that?!
Cinder: Oh, don't be like that, Arc. (Leans, Pulls collar) Besides, you know you like to see this~.
Jaune: (Cringing) Seeing you is hard for me right now! I already feel bad about last night, and the fact that I'm getting an invite to this "Anti-Cinder" party as a "guest of honor" for being your most recent ex!
Cinder: ANTI-CINDER?! WHO THE FUCK IS BEHIND THIS?!
Jaune: It's just this immature get together. Honestly, it sounds like a load of baloney.
Cinder: Yes, yes, truly a real smorgasbord of processed meat! Let me see that!
Jaune: It was nice to get an invite, though. Maybe I should check it out.
Cinder: (Opens card)
Dearest Jaune Arc, You are cordially invited to join us as a guest of honor to celebrate having your fucking heart stomped to mush by Cinder Fall~! It is with great pride and honor that I extend this invitation, as the most recent ex, to the Ever After and indulge in our shared hatred of that stupid cunt! Eagerly awaiting the arrival of our "Guest of Honor,"
Neopolitan
Cinder: NEO?! Of course that fucking creep would...
Jaune: It's funny, though... Why would you have an entire party dedicated to hating you of all people?
Cinder: Because they're all bitter that I am simply too wild to tame~.
Jaune: You really think that's all it is?
Cinder: Of course! They're all jealous that I moved on and they didn't.
Jaune: Oh! That makes sense since YOU are the one who's breaking people's hearts!
Cinder: If by "bweaking pepoo's hots~" you mean I "end is shit before it becomes shit," then yes, and honestly, these people should be thanking me because everyone would be better off single.
Jaune: ...Heh. Yeah. You're right. Everyone would be better off single. So, why are you here, Cinder~?
Cinder: E- I- I am here because you still need to realize how good some angry revenge sex would feel right now!
Jaune: Oh, beat it, Cinder! ...NOW.
Cinder: Why?!
Jaune: Because I'm tired of this, Cinder! I don't like how you're talking to me!
Cinder: Oh, give me a fucking break, Arc! You know this has always been a fantasy of yours! You want me to be right on top of you so I can give you the best two hours of your life~!
Jaune: (Walks away) Stop it!
Cinder: You know I'm right! You love the idea of me being your little lapdog for you to show off so you can prove that there's good in everyone!
Jaune: I don't want you to be my lapdog! How many times do I have to fucking-?! When have I ever-?! (Exhales) You're just like Adam, you know that?! You know, the same guy who tried to kill me and YOU didn't even bother coming to help me yourself! Remember?!
Cinder: I am NOTHING like-! I-I didn't know he could-! Hey, I stopped him the first time!
Jaune: The first time?!
Cinder: ...Yes, when yo- Oh... Oh, shit, did I not-
Jaune: You KNEW someone was trying to kill me?
Cinder: ...I stopped him! And I didn't think you could actually get hurt!
Jaune: (Walks to the window, Leans on sill)
Cinder: You had aura! You have your semblance! If Mercury and I could kick his ass on our own, then you could definitely-
Jaune: Yeah, you're right! Because I'm the big huntsman hero and I shouldn't trust an evil person to stop an evil person, right?
Cinder: And there it is! About time!
Jaune: Oh, that's all you were really here for! (Pushes to face Cinder) Trying to play out this idea you have that I'm some beacon of light who's trying to force you to be a good guy, but I'm NOT! Why would I risk my career, my LIFE, to spend time with you, to help you?! You don't owe me those things, but you can't just ignore all of it!
Cinder: ...You know, Jaune, I spent the entire morning listening to love songs...
Jaune: (Cinder takes his hand)
Cinder: ...and that was still the SAPPIEST THING I'VE EVER HEARD!
Jaune: (Pulls hand away) ...Do you ever feel bad for the people you've hurt? Have you ever said sorry ONCE in your life?
Cinder: WHAT, YOU THINK I CAN'T FUCKING APOLOGIZE?! FOR WHAT?! YOU WANT ME TO SAY, "Oh, I'm sorry that I thought this whole time someone as wonderful as you could never love someone as awful as me and I allow my self-loathing to stop me from apologizing to anyone I've ever cared about!"
Jaune: ...Er- Yeah. That.
Cinder: ...
Jaune: ...
Cinder: ...WELL, FUCK YOU!
Jaune: (Leaves)
Cinder: I COULD SAY SORRY IF I WANTED TO! JUST YOU FUCKING WATCH! I SORRIED RUBY SO HARD, SHE CRIED! AND I CAN SORRY MORE PEOPLE EXCEPT YOU BECAUSE I DON'T OWE YOU DICK!
Cinder: (Huffs) Everyone... But you... (Leaves)

A thing about LOTR that I actually find quite charming and endearing is that a lot of our protagonists are so good, wise, thoughtful, articulate, poetic, kind and emotionally astute, they are constantly asking those wiser than them for council, discussing what weighs upon their hearts, supporting each other, reciting songs, making Very Serious Plans and listening to each other–they are so Good and emotionally literate that it almost, at an uncharitable reading, starts to feel a little bit like Ye Olde therapyspeak.
Except it never hits, for me at least, that threshold of "he would not fucking say that" such that it breaks my suspension of disbelief, which is what makes therapyspeak so annoying to me personally in writing. Partly I think it's that there are plenty of other characters who inhabit this world that clearly don't talk and behave this way, so our protagonists stand out, but it feels intentional–but also I think it's just because it feels true to the characters that they would fucking say that. They would make these choices. And it's just very interesting and comforting to read a story that is actually full of very kind, decent people. Our protagonists are not always perfect, not always in agreement with each other–but they are allowed by the narrative to struggle really really hard against impossible odds while remaining good, kind, honorable people, and they aren't forced to sacrifice that for the sake of doing the right thing. Tolkien is, in general, very very leery of the idea that you can put in bad means and get out a good end result–he emphatically does not believe in using the devil's own power against him. To a one, everyone who tries to do that fails because their choices end up biting them in their own ass.
And Tolkien is realistic about the fact that those who choose to hold true might be dooming themselves to death or failure by doing so. He's honest about the fact that it's fucking hard. I don't think anyone could read Frodo's journey in particular and come away with the idea that choosing to do the kind, decent thing is easy, or glamorous, or destined to automatically succeed. But these characters are allowed to keep faith anyway, to hold out hope, to do the kind, decent thing trusting that, even if they don't succeed, it matters that they tried.
And yeah, it's oversimplified. In the hands of a lesser writer, I think this world could end up feeling very flat. Like oh, we have our heroes who are good people, and the bad guys who are ontologically evil and a lot of boring sometimes-misguided ordinary folk in the middle. And there are major criticisms to be made for sure–like how the orcs are handled, for instance.
But still, it's comforting, it's aspirational. It's escapist in a hopeful kind of way, a gentle kind of way–self-aware, I mean, that this goodness isn't destined to win, but–wouldn't it be nice? What if we tried–what if we hoped–what if we charged out and did our best, to whatever end? What if that was enough?
I don't know that I believe it, exactly, but something something about how humans need the little lies to help them believe the big ones. Show me one atom of justice, one molecule of mercy. Maybe it's a lie–but it's a good one.

What twst characters do you think would be good and bad at flirting?
i have Opinions.
Riddle Rosehearts - mmm bad. but so bad its cute. like he's trying to invite you to a tea party, blurts out the information, spins on his heel and marches off with a red face.
Ace Trappola - UGH HES SO ANNOYING he'd use cheesy one liners with a smug grin so if thats your type of thing come get him.
Ashton Vargas - i hate him. he sucks. also uses cheesy one liners but its layered with a vibe of superiority that makes me want to punch him.
Azul Ashengrotto - MY LOVELY <3333 AAAAA i can see him being suave if he's trying to butter you up, but when you say something back he's like ?!?!?!?!??!?! WHAT. he won't believe you though :((
Cater Diamond - aww he's so sweet!! but really devious. YK HIS BIRTHDAY BOY LOG IN LINES???
I SCREENSHOTTED THIS SHIT FOR A REASON!!! I WAS LIKE WHAT THE FUCK?!?!??! THAT CAME OUT OF NOWHERE. he's good.
Che'nya - good i think!! he's naturally very mischievous so he'd be the type to sneak it a flirty comment that you don't process until a few seconds have gone by.
Deuce Spade - AWW sorry no :(( he can't flirt for the life of him BUT its so bad hes cute!! yk?? like he's stumbling over his words as he tries to tell you you're eggcellent. his mom put him up to it.
Dire Crowley - hmm. he's a bit hard to pinpoint but i dont think he'd suck? hes bad but i dont think he'd be as bad as vargas.
Divus Crewel - i know everyone likes to think he's like super flirty or smth but i don't think so. he gives the vibes of someone who wants something more serious so his flirting would probably be less playful and more serious compliments on your work.
Epel Felmier - i cannot see him flirting for the life of me unless he was feeling particularly devious??? but also epel is a character that i cant write for the life of me so take everything i say about him with a grain of salt.
Floyd Leech - he platonically flirts a lot. flirts by biting you. he has a way of making his voice sound very pleasing to the ears so yes he's good.
Idia Shroud - PFFT LOSER. idia kissers knew this was coming. ygys know him. he doesn't flirt. he insults you and gets scared when you get mad. "why don't they like me?!?!" YOU CALLED THEM A NORMIE YOU WEIRDO
Jack Howl - like crewel, his flirting is more serious and genuine. he'll compliment your work and what you've done well. also wags his tail. he's good!!
Jade Leech - IS A BASTARD. he will humiliate you because he thinks its FUNNY. never let him figure out that you're easily flustered or he will NEVER LEAVE YOU ALONE (unless you like him the win ig???) he's good!!
Jamil Viper - I AM HERE TO SPREAD MY EASILY FLUSTERED JAMIL AGENDA. he doesn't flirt but if you ever flirt with him he'll get embarrassed.
Kalim Al-Asim - contrary to popular belief, kalim knows when he's flirting with you. its just...he's so friendly with everyone that you cant really tell. hes bad at getting his actual feelings across.
Leona Kingscholar - he's smug but thats about it??? he doesn't really flirt but if he compliments you you've already won at life so does it matter?
Lilia Vanrouge - HES A LITTLE SHIT. another one that won't leave you alone if he finds out that you're easily flustered. he's good >:T
Malleus Draconia - bad because he doesnt know what hes doing. he doesnt know how to talk to people informally. people find him charming anyway though!!
Mozus Trein - he's too miserable and tired to flirt sigh
Najma Viper - kinda has the same problem that kalim has except i can see her being very touchy. like hand holding and hugs. so if thats your kind of thing, then its good!!
Neige LeBlanche - the type to giggle if you compliment him (me.) he's very sweet, the type to get you flowers and kiss the back of your hand in greeting. good!!
Rook Hunt - hes good because hes so poetic and such a tease. h e can be touchy too, if thats what you like.
Ruggie Bucchi - he'd pinch all over your face as his way of flirting. he's just goofy like that. again, he's pretty teasing, so i'd say he's good!!
Sam - biased but he's the best flirter in the faculty by far. he's got a nice smile and a vibrant laugh and he's genuinely very friendly and open to people. good!!
Sebek Zigvolt - hes so BAD. hes only better than vargas. I KNOW THIS SOUNDS MEAN but he'd just yell compliments at you and expect you to reciprocate. has a crisis if you dont.
Silver - hes very sweet but so tired, just let him rest on your lap!!
Trey Clover - he'd be bad IM SORRY. he doesn't really flirt so he'd just be awkwardly making small talk with you until you catch on to what he's doing.
Vil Schoenheit - after that kiss in book six i think abt him more than i used to. he's a very sweet flirt, with soft smiles and pink cheeks. let vil be blushy. I NEED IT.

What did you think about that moment in chapter 24?! I'm dying to know!
(The part that starts "I looked down on Lestat, who was unchanged...")
Hey! I'm sorry I couldn't answer it immediately and you had to wait, but I wanted to give this a proper answer with all my thoughts, so I hope this was worthwile and and makes up for it. 😉🙃 Anyway, here we go… I already knew what was going to happen, so, I was counting the pages to finally get to the chapter. And when I did, man, it did not disappoint.
Obviously, that wasn't romantic, but it was such a meaningful, intimate, delicate and tender moment that it felt even more powerful to me. Yes, part of the reason Armand went there was to get answers and try to quiet the anguish in his heart, but most of it was genuinely love. Which is why he returns, approaches, touches and shows Lestat affection again, even after drinking his blood. And it speaks volumes how Armand had all the reasons to keep a safe distance and yet he didn't flinch or even hesitate. And not only he approached Lestat, but also touched him, multiple times, and kept getting bolder and bolder with those gestures and 'pushing his luck'. Whether Armand was willing to take the risk of Lestat having a negative/defensive reaction or knew he would allow it by mere instinct, this is a proof of how deep their bond goes and how far they have come in their relationship. And from Lestat's side as well, because Armand was the only person he gave his consent to get near at the time and that was a huge thing. It was overall a really big and turning point in their relationship. And it's one of my favorite Lesmand/The Vampire Armand/The Vampire Chronicles moments as a whole.
And as if it isn't enough that it's such a monumental event on its own, it's so poetic too. The fact it happens in a chapel, they are both silent, Armand's tear falls on Lestat's cheek… It's all about the aesthetics, the body language, facial expressions etc. The imagery is so delicate and beautiful. The wording is stunning as well. Specially for this line:
"I tried to keep my heart absolutely pure of pride and pure of anything but love. It was not differentiated or defined, this love, but only love […]"
This has become one of my favorite quotes ever, maybe even my ultimate favorite from The Vampire Chronicles. I absolutely love the idea of a love that can't be classified, nor separated in different boxes, but instead defies all definitions and simply transcends. And when she wanted to, Anne Rice knew how to execute the concept brilliantly on her books. She even knew how to elevate and still manage to make it better almost two decades later. When she went on Facebook to further elaborate on it from Lestat's point of view, it just made my heart ache in the best way. I mean, the screenshot below speaks for itself.
Plus, if the show does that in the future, in any shape or form, it would be incredible. I'm such a sucker for scenes that are more complicated and primarily rely on the talent/chemistry of the performers and the actors need to work twice, three times as hard to execute them. Silent, scenes where the actors don't touch, phonecalls where they can't look at or feed off of each other in any way… I like to call them 'raw scenes' and they're usually my favorite on any show/movie I watch, including Interview With the Vampire. I can see it being a mix of Aragorn taking care of Eowyn after she was wounded
and Lizzy and Mr. Darcy dancing,
filmed and edited in a way that makes the people around them disappear for a moment and slowly reappear at the end, just like the way Armand described how the situation felt here:
"There was no chapel then for me, or outraged sighs or reverential cries. I heard nothing, and yet knew what was all around. I knew it as if the substantial place was but a phantasm, for what was real was his blood."
I'm personally obsessed with that trick and find it so sophisticated and mind-blowing that it frustrates me how it's barely used? So, I always appreciate it whenever I see it. And I also just know that Assad would be phenomenal at that, because he's already been doing that kind of acting for two whole seasons now. I can see him being soft, gentle and even somewhat tragic and I just know the affection and pain in his eyes would kill me in the best possible way. I could even see it becoming part of my top 5 moments on the series, maybe even my number #1. Right now my favorite clips are the 1x01 church sequence, the 2x08 loustat reunion and armandiel's last scene on 2x05. However, considering how much I love this moment and pretty much all things lesmand, they can easily become just as big of an obsession, possibly even bigger in future seasons (they already are my #1 on the books). I mean, the scene they have alone already makes my heart skip several beats because the chemistry was magnetic and irresistible,
that eye contact was *INTENSE* and I felt the sparks all the way over here. Felt like I was witnessing something that I shouldn't lol, but I was happy to invade their privacy because it was simply mesmerizing.
Anywaaaay… Hopefully, that will happen on the show someday, even if the context and circumstances of it may differ. Still, regardless if they do a version of it or not, that will remain a wonderful part of the book and that gladly I will never move on from.

Okay, no one wants to hear this!!! But Steve Harrington is so aro-coded. He's just like me, FR.
He's got a reputation for dating around and being easy (aroallo represent) at the start of season 1.
The thing with ALL of season 2, where he just tries so hard to connect with Nancy and do the steps of Romance. But then when it ends, he's just like, it's okay, I want you to be happy. And yes, he WAS sad. But I was also sad when I broke up with my ex girlfriends because most of the time when they say you can still be friends, they're lying!!!
In season 3, Steve's thing with Robin where he's like, I don't like this girl, wait I DO like this girl, he literally confesses, and then when she says she's gay, he's just like yay friend 😊! Not something most allo people do, I say from experience.
And season 4, most damning to me: when he tells Robin he doesn't know what he wants, and then he spends the rest of the season sort of weird with Nancy but kind of grimacing too, and then waxing poetic about how he wanted a wife and an RV. ah, the wistfullness of the life you THOUGHT you wanted before you realized who you are.
#koko thinkin thots#this would be more effective if it wasnt midnight and i had gotten like screenshots#but like im saying we've all been there!!!#steve harrington#aromantic headcanons

I’d like to add to the Mondstadt thing that like?? You mention it’s the USA of Teyvat and like. Yeah. Remember the Eula thing? Girl wasn’t even allowed to buy her own groceries, good hunter and the general goods store refused her service because of the Lawrence thing. Homophobic bakery vibes fr.
god you're so right............. mondstadt why are you consistently built like this...... you're rivaling sumeru in terms of fucked-up-ness...
another thing that i find very funny about the entire mondstadt situation is decarabian, and the whole misunderstanding surrounding him. like there are so very few accounts of what happened back then and so many are either entirely biased on the rebellion's side or far too divorced from what happened that it's hard to fully accept it as fact (especially given the way genshin has always presented its lore via multiple unreliable narrators).
like all the sources we have are: - a tidbit from alice, but she sounds more like she's quoting local legend than speaking from experience, so idk how much she counts. she also purposefully fucked up the ruins so like. i don't trust her when it comes to keeping a truthful record of the past LMAO - amos' very poetic very small blurb on amos' bow - weapon materials that take a more descriptive/impartial tone in describing decarabian and boreas' feud, which wasn't even like- i don't think it's ever stated who shot first beyond boreas declaring war (which could've been bc of something decarabian did but we just don't know) - venti
the only one there that even remotely suggests there was any attempt at speaking with decarabian about letting them out is amos' account, and even then you have to assume that's what's happening. from the way it's worded it sounds more to me like she's simply giving decarabian hints that she wants out by telling him she dreams of the outside, but like. girl. and even if that's just flowery prose to tell us she did actually try to ask him to let them out, that leads to another pair of problems, which are,
we don't fucking know when boreas died, so for all we know, decarabian could've still had a very good reason to keep them all in the wind barrier. bc y'know it was fucking frigid and inhospitable outside and they were all likely going to suffer massive casualties and he very much wanted to keep them safe. like the teaser implies the skies were clear when the barrier came down?? but i'm not sure that we have a confirmation of what that means (could've just been a clear day, the barrier could've been keeping that area clear, etc). and even if boreas had already died by the time the rebellion started, we still don't know if decarabian knew that, so like. in his mind, he still had to keep his people safe. and yes his idea of keeping them safe was keeping them trapped in there and very organized to the point of micromanagement but you gotta keep in mind that, 1. if it was so horrible outside that sal vindagnyr was founded entirely because of how shit to live in mondstadt it was, then of course keeping them trapped is the more sensible option. like if you complain about that, i'm not going to say you have no right nor reason to complain, but you *are* going to come across as a bit of a naive child 2. they had limited space to live and so of course you'd want to keep things as orderly as possible through micromanaging. and yes it likely came across as dictatorial and controlling but also, 3. we have no clue what the fuck decarabian was. i'm asuming not fully human. regardless, we know he didn't have the same perception of things as humans had. the more impartial accounts from the weapon materials all say decarabian did love his people, it's just his love for his people was not really understood *as love* by his people. like the way he saw the world was just Different. like elynas. it's literally just elynas all over again. this also makes the possibility that amos never said let us out outright and instead tried to just hint at it even worse, because if he's not even capable of perceiving emotions and reality and seeing things the way humans see them, how is this man going to catch your hints????? girl. nothing against amos i just find it very odd that she was dating a non-human being and didn't think there was a possiblity that he wouldn't have human-like feelings. like that sounds a bit... yikes, at that point.
so ultimately it all just seems to come down to people wanting out (even though there's a good chance it was still death and desolation out there) and having a fundamentally different worldview from decarabian. and again, i can't really blame the old mondstadters for wanting out (again, ignoring they would've possibly wanted out in that fucking hail storm), but i can blame them for seemingly never attemption to talk some sense into decarabian. like is that ever mentioned, outside of amos? i feel like i'm going crazy over this. it has to be somewhere and i can't just find it, i have to be missing something, bc are you going to tell me that venti saw a fellow non-human isolated from his people in a tower doing things in a way that his people found Not Correct (and yet not horrible either, like beyond being a bit of a micromanager and having them in the storm barrier, it's never stated that decarabian did anything tyranical) and instead of saying, oh maybe he just doesn't realize he's hurting us by holding too tight bc y'know he's not human- he just went yeah let's kill him????????????????????? without talking to him first??????????? are you fr?????? i could understand the humans assuming things bc humans dumb yada yada but VENTI?????? a NON HUMAN?????? bruh
there's also this weird bit with the gunnhildr clan that- left???? at some point???? before the barrier came down?? so like- did decarabian let them leave bc they asked nicely? did they manage to sneak out?? if it was the former all the more shame to literally everyone else for killing the guy in the first place, but it seems unlikely. and if it was the later then why were they the only ones to leave. again, if it was possible to just fuck off, why the need to kill decarabian. it just does not make sense, and it gets worse the more you think about it. even moreso bc i think we know that the gunnhildr clan must've participated in the rebellion???? so they came back???????????
if boreas had died before this all went down then it would make sense if the gunnhildr clan left, saw there was no blizzard and snowstorm and that the outside wasn't entirely fucked up, and returned and told the others this discovery. and so the rebels were like 'they why tf are we still trapped in here???' and they'd have been right to be angry about it but like,
again.
if the gunnhildr did leave (and it seems they did), then any method they used to get out could've been used for the others to leave as well, no?? like- again, if decarbian let them leave, why not ask again and tell him hey, it's not fucking frigid outside anymore?? and if they sneaked out, why not sneak out too??
if it was some other mysterious reason, like they abused a window of oportunity that just- vanished. ....and then reappeared for them to return and vanished again (what??????), that still doesn't explain why nobody gave a fuck about talking sense into decarabian.
like yes yes amos could've been trying to talk sense into him but amos is literally one (1) person!!!!!! that seems so fucked.
no matter how i spin it i've just never been able to justify how the rebels went about it, based on the information we have rn. like if you want to tell me they started their rebellion n so decarabian got mad and tried to kill them, that's like.... doesn't sound in-character for a guy we know loved his people and that has never been stated to have ever actually tried to harm them. plus the entire thing of their rebellion was how it was all planned out in secret until they striked?? so decarabian wouldn't have known until amos was literally trying to shoot him?????????
and if you want to say that they did talk to him- first off, why would miyoho not mention that. that seems like a pretty important detail to just not mention anywhere. and again- the way the rebelion is worded implies they did it all in secret in order not to alert decarabian. having tried to talk to him about it and pretending he got mad over it doesn't fit with that idea.
so yeah! mondstadt's citizens have been fucked since before venti set them loose on the world LMAO
#god i went on an entire tangent there#every single time a venti lover mentions decarabian as a tyrant i just cannot help but quietly judge them#any mondstadt lover in general ngl#like............. really?#i get that most people don't read the lore tho#still seems very fucked up of venti ngl#like no sympathy for a fellow non human whatsoever#imma be real that's kinda yikes my dude

I HAVE RAMBLINGS ABOUT TYT
Nico and Apollo def have geek out sessions over greek mythology like they are NERDS and Apollo def grew up having snippets of the Iliad and Odyssey read to him so the moment Nico showed even the slightest of interest in Greek mythology as a kid, best believe Apollo used that to warm up to him 😭🙏
ALSO I can just picture little Apollo curled up next to Leto as she read him all these different poems (I'd like to think she read to him in Greek and while Apollo wasn't completely fluent in Greek, he def understood it very well but then he lost it 😞)
Also, Leto definitely called Apollo sunshine, and that's why he calls his own kids that. Every time Apollo would ask why he was named Apollo, Leto would scoop him up and say it was bc he was the light of her life, and Apollo is the god of light, so ofc she named her pride and joy after the god of light
Anyways whatever u do don't think about sixteen year old Apollo drunk (and probably high) out of his mind, curled up in a hotel room that he hardly spent any time in wishing he could've spent more time with his mother before his father whisked him away and into the spotlight :(
UGH AND DON'T THINK ABOUT APOLLO READING THE ILIAD TO HIMSELF WHENEVER HE MISSES LETO
clearly I have very strong feelings towards the relationship Apollo has with his mother and the fact that he should've had more time with her but bc he was in the spotlight all the time as a kid he didn't get to :(
Wait, oh my god, did Apollo go to his own mother's funeral?? Bc like Will was in middle school when she died, right?? So would have he trusted Will enough to be alone in the house for a few days, or did he just not go?? And how many times did Apollo look at his sixteen year old son and realize that the neglect Zeus put him through (ignoring Apollo's very clear addiction in favor of making him famous ofc) was definitely abuse. HOW MANY TIMES DID APOLLO HAVE TO REALIZE THAT HE GREW UP TOO FAST EVERY TIME HE LOOKED AT WILL??? 😭😭😭
ALSO ALSO IDK IF IT WAS INTENTIONAL BUT HAVING APOLLO, THE PROTECTOR OF YOUNG BOYS, BE THE ONE TO RESCUE NICO FROM AN ABUSIVE SITUATION AND GAVE HIM THE RESOURCES HE NEEDED TO HEAL???? AMAZING
I think Kayla def tried to teach everyone that Will was friends with archery. Just bc archery is severely underrated 😞
(Only Piper managed to actually hit the target, and Jason somehow sliced his hand open??? He has a very faint scar now, and if someone asks about it while he's with Leo, then Leo will come up with the most ridiculous stories instead of telling them the truth 😭)
Also, I think you've mentioned it before, but did either Darren or Kayla try to teach him archery? Idk but the mental image is very funny and it probably took him a plethora of tries to hit the target and Kayla was probably so proud
ANYWAYS IM SO SORRY THIS IS SO LONG IM DOING THIS INSTEAD OF WRITING MY CREATIVE WRITING ASSIGNMENT (I love that class but also UGHHHHH)
HAVE A GOOD DAY 🫶
FIRST OF ALL THIS JUST MAKES ME SO HAPPY TO SEE LIKE AHHSDFHLSDFJ OMG TYT RAMBLES
the whole part about apollo and leto... YES YES YESLKJDSFASDF AHHH apollo was 100% raised on greek mythology and he does have various copies of the iliad and the odyssey and other myths, an old worn-down version from his mom which had been passed down to him in her will, and a bunch of fancy pretty ones bc if he ever sees a pretty copy of the iliad or the odyssey he WILL buy it.
i think that he did go through a phase where like,,, he was just completely uninterested in that sort of stuff, considered it childhood and whatever. but i think that eventually, esp when taking in will, he went through what i'll call the "dumb and poetic try-hard intellectual" phase where he actually did read through the whole thing, read through various translations, annotated some copies, attempted to learn greek (modern greek, not ancient greek lmao), and just in general getting in touch with his heritage bc he realizes, watching will who's so small and resembles him so much, that those memories of him and his mom were actually some of his happiest moments of childhood, not annoying ones. and so he does try to replicate that, despite having not left his family on the best of terms *cough* really bad onesSLKJDF
and as someone who had a parent speak to them in their language, knew how to understand that language, but refused to learn it themselves bc it was boring, there's gonna be such an intense regret there from apollo, thinking that he should've taken the opportunity to learn when he could. he definitely would still understand bits and pieces, maybe a few quotes that were his or his mom's favorites, but it's just a lot harder to learn a language once you've grown up ://
as for the funeral, he did not go, because he still wasn't on speaking terms with his father, and well,,, yeah. he didn't want to cause a scene, also didn't want to tell will much about it, but i do think leto left some things to apollo in her will that apollo had to fight pretty hard to actually get sent to him
and GOD the emotions of apollo watchign will grow up... AHSDFJ ILL NEVER GET OVER IT like its hard to accept but he eventually does recognize it. and it's painful but it also feels good to know that that'll never happen. to watch his son at 16 spend his afternoon doing homework, and at 17 having a healthy relationship with his best friend, and at 18 applying to colleges... it definitely makes apollo proud, but it also breaks his heart a bit. because he couldn't imagine ever forcing the childhood that he had on his son, and he has to admit that his father hadn't felt the same sense of protection or care, and that even though his mom did, she wasn't in a position to do anything that would truly help :/
ALSO ALSO IDK IF IT WAS INTENTIONAL BUT HAVING APOLLO, THE PROTECTOR OF YOUNG BOYS, BE THE ONE TO RESCUE NICO FROM AN ABUSIVE SITUATION AND GAVE HIM THE RESOURCES HE NEEDED TO HEAL???? AMAZING
KSDJFLKASJDFSD PARALLELS AHHSDHFHDSFJ no bc that actually just makes me so happyyyyy like yes apollo is a good father yes he always has been and yes he always will be!!!! to literally anyone who needs it. i love him so much. can you believe when i was first outlining this fic i was like "hm, yeah, he plays an important role, but like i'll make sure not to make him a major character or anything"
now we're here. apollo is probably like. the third most major character after nico and will. in greatest of luxuries, at least.
kayla absoluTELY tried to train everyone in archery, and apollo's trying to avoid it bc he's trying not to think back to 2002 when darren tried to teach him archery, and kayla has the exact same instruction style bc darren had taught her, and hes actually better than will and will's friends bc he's learned before, but he fails on purpose bc the memories are too painful because THEY WERE HAPPY-
sorry pollen is possessing me! it will never leave
ANYWAYS IM SO SORRY THIS IS SO LONG IM DOING THIS INSTEAD OF WRITING MY CREATIVE WRITING ASSIGNMENT (I love that class but also UGHHHHH)
this is SO real bc i am responding to this to avoid doing my lit essaysdlkjf
THANK YOU FOR THE ASK

BBU Community Days Showcasing Prompt: Boxie
So, today's @bbu-on-the-side prompt is about showcasing my favorite Boxies. And oh my, this is hard, because I love so many. I will try to limit myself.
KAURI | @ashintheairlikesnow | Erase to Control
Probably one of the first box boys I read about on here. This man. Is special to me. He is so intelligent and strong and sparkling - and also so desperate and sad and struggling. Kauri's story is in huge parts about imperfect recovery, with so many bumps and mistakes but he's getting there. Kauri is so different from me in so many ways, and still his story touches me so deeply, few other characters or stories do. There's some careful quiet strength I feel in him, hidden at first under so so many layers of self deprecation and fake lightheartedness. Ash lets the readers follow him through so many episodes and years of his life, and it all makes such bittersweet sense.
LOURDES | @wildfaewhump | Lourdes: One of a Kind
Everyone following me knows I love Lourdes, because I keep coming back to them, and borrowing them to make their life even more miserable (listen, Lourdes, I am sorry, but you know, that's how one shows love, right?). Lourdes' is another story about imperfect survivors, and the struggles of finding a place - and an identity - after trauma and humiliation. Lourdes has an utterly heartbreaking backstory (wrong place, wrong time, wrong relative), a very hot and very deranged owner, and the most beautiful, sad, poetic way of looking at the world. Their struggles in recovery are heartbreaking, and their choices could be considered problematic more oft than not. Lourdes' mindset is messy and beautiful at the same time, and (yes we tried it) they are an incredibly scary whumper if you push the right buttons. Lourdes is an artist, somewhere buried far under their conditioning and trauma, and honestly, I wish they eventually find that again. We have the headcanon that my OC Bradley wrote them a song, and honestly, if I had any talent, I would do so as well. But alas, this essay has to suffice.
CHRISTIE | @winedark-whump | The Safehouse
Listen, with Christie, I don't even know where it started. She is, just, such a beacon of positivity, and I don't even know how to say it, like... positive femininity? (Isaac, let me know if this is imperfect wording, please.) Christie just, has this spark inside her, and I love how she learns to navigate freedom and inspire others around her. She accepts herself, and learns to care for herself, and thus turns into someone who can be so good for others, too - I wish everyone had someone like her in their lives. And I am happy to have met her through her stories and through the headcanons Isaac shared. Even though my favorite Christie piece is a heartbreaking and one from her captivity, her path to happiness is what inspires me most.
(And now, my pizza has arrived, so this is the reason I cut myself short and end it here. Still, special shout out to @hackles-up B, @angst-after-dark Dami and @ocean-blue-whump Sunny who would be the next ones I just have to scream about and will need to do it another day)
#i love you all#and your characters#thank you for sharing them with me#and with the word#it means a lot

I just like sharing my thoughts with people, either old friend and new friends (especially if it's hurt/comfort)
Have you ever imagine inazuman boys with s/o who is very healthy since childhood but when the times goes by their conditions go worse and they can't get out of the house and always coughing up bloods everytime
Its not threatening their life but he just got worried they might left him somedays
He tried to find medicine for you even he had to cross the sea, your life is so important and he can't bear losing another people he loves after what happened in the past
(So yeah, that's it, you don't have to rush tho, I just want to share my thoughts)
Inazuma men with a sick reader?!
Ayato, Heizou, Thoma, x Reader
The blood part seemed a bit too much for me so I didn’t do it, a little bit of angst if you squint rlly hard. HOPE YOU ENJOY LOVE
Ayato
Due to the nature of his work it wasn't often he go to see you. He would do his best to visits you on a regular basis, but it never truly was, at times he would miss a week, and if the gods do not look upon you, a few months.
Through the years he’d often deny the presumptions of your dating, people often thought so seeing the way he would talk about you— all too poetic for a “friend”.
Little had you know, on the long periods of time he wouldn’t see you he was out aboard, of course for work, but also in hopes to find something to help you; ease your pain, or even perhaps take the entire illness away. Oh, how he wishes.
"Ayato?" You whispered, attempting to sit up from the bed. The sun rays peeking through the curtains, a light scent of flowers flowed through the room, you look to your bedside table, fresh flowers?
Seeing your attempt to sit up he pushes you back, "Don’t over do it," He pushes away some hair falling onto your face, his thumb rubbing over your cheek. His voice was soft, gentle.
"You’re here so soon. Has something happened?" You feel over Ayato’s hand, giving it a gentle rub.
He smiles feel warmer, "My dear, I’ve finally found a someone and something who may help you."
Most would feel bursts of joy, not to say you didn’t, but you couldn’t help but be skeptical. For many years has this illness plagued you, not only that but most doctors from Inazuma still have not been able to find something to treat such an illness.
Feeling the skepticism in your heart he grabs you hand, placing it to his chest, "For many years have I been searching for someone, something, anything to help you. The many trips I would take out of Inazuma I would be looking for something for you. I can understand your skepticism, but please, my love, I want to see you better." Gently kissing your hand, his eyes watering, "For naught my future is without you."
Heizou
Heizou is a smart man, always has been, but it feels as though it is all thrown out the window when you arrive. All his intellects seemingly gone, the countless times he on his own has tried to find a way to help you- all failing miserably.
Frustrated, he forgets his work wrapping himself into helping you. Hungry? He’s already cooking. Want some fresh air? He has your clothes prepared. House is getting a bit dusty? Hes already bought cleaning supplies. And as much as you appreciate the things he does you can’t help but be worried.
"Heizou?" You turn to him, a questioning look on your face.
"Yes, my dear?" He sets his book down, his gaze turning to you.
"I most appreciate the things you do, but please understand," you motion him closer, and take his hand, "I’ve noticed you haven’t been going to work as much, and I can’t help but worry you’ve been neglecting your work because of me."
His eyes soften, his kisses your hand, "I appreciate your concern. But it’s quite the opposite really. During your resting times I’m working—" he smiles, "but all from home, I had a friend of mine go out of the country, and they found something that may help you. And just like how we are now, I’ll be here."
You laugh, reaching a hand out, being his face closer to yours, giving him a gentle kiss, "Always so diligent and loving."
Thoma
Thoma is the definition of house wife. Now, of course he has his work at the estate, but every free minute is spent with him.
The awfully generous Kamisato Ayato had provided you and Thoma home in the estate in hopes we won’t overwork himself, but that’s all for naught. Thoma, the diligent, sweet boy, is always tending to everyone— but himself! Some days when he comes home you worry if he’s eaten. And as much you would like to help him you can’t. You’d be a liar is you said you didn’t feel like a burden.
Lately, Thoma has been coming home extra late. At first you thought he was busy doing some extra work, but you couldn’t help be suspicious when you noticed he would be in the study spending an awful lot of time writing letters.
One night you decided to go check up on him. Gathering all the strength you had and walking to the study, coming up behind him and steadying yourself on the desk.
"Hello, my love." You whisper in the shell of his ear.
Jumping he swivels his chair to face you, his eyes wide, but once his eyes lay upon you he relaxes, hand on his heart, "Goodness, darling. You scared me."
You smile chuckle leaning in closer, "Sorry, sweetie." He smiles, putting a hand on your jaw pulling you closer, pressing a kiss all around your face.
Smiling you pull back looking your head over to the letter, "What’s that, dear?" Gesturing your head to the paper.
He looks back, "Oh! That.. uh, I have some news." He trailed off, you nod, gently playing with his hair, "I had been sending letters to a friend of mine in Mondstadt, he said that he may know someone to stabilize your condition," his head leans into your hand, exhaling he looks into your eyes, "Would you perhaps be ok with someone coming here to help you, love?"

Guide for tormented hearts
Pairing: Wednesday Addams x Selective Mute! Reader
Warnings: flashback in italics, violence, mention of past trauma,
Summary: Having a sleepover in Wednesday's room was stressful enough, but having a sleepover with her and Enid was...you don't even had a word for it. Somehow, you ended up being interviewed by Enid. And, somehow, you felt Wednesday's hands involving yours in the middle of the night.
Some reader's characteristics: R has anxiety disorder, selective mutism, and is a really unique type of outcast. Reader's background it's derived from my Wednesday fic, The Hunt.
x
The picture shown to you was deserving of an award. It was theatrical, poetic, medieval. It showed a boy hooded, half naked, with his exposed skin painted red with the letter "A".
Any normal teenager would associate it with a popular series, and fear the one who pranked the hooded boy. However, the few who knew the true meaning behind the letter, knew that it was a punishment.
Surprisingly, Enid belonged to the second group, and her gossip blog was used to share the truth about the pranked boy — there weren't files or proof of what he had done, you didn't leave any on the scene. You know that the rumors about why a popular jock was hanged and mocked like this would ruin him — that's why you did it. Still, Wednesday complained about how merciful you were. For a second, you thought she was the one who told Enid to post about all the truth about the boy, but Wednesday seemed as surprised as you with her sudden arrival.
"OMG!" She gasped, running over to you both. "Did you guys see this? I still can't believe it!" The she-wolf showed you an Instagram post with the photo of the boy hanged. "Don't pity him though, Divina knows the guy and....well, let's say someone was really angry at him."
You couldn't help but chuckle.
"Do you think it's funny?"
Yes.
You said nothing, but Wednesday did.
"It's silly. I doubt anyone understood it."
"They will." Enid added right away. "I made sure of it and also...the guy felt so humiliated that he started to confess!" She was a bit too excited about it. "He bullied some kids from Nevermore too. Hank will be very busy because of him." Wednesday's eyes widened. "A bunch of older victims gathered the courage to accuse him too!" Enid cheered. "It's a bad guy paying for his crimes." The she-wolf seemed too happy about it, and both you and Wednesday watched in her silence for a brief moment. "We should know who did it."
You stepped away immediately, and Wednesday’s gaze followed you.
"Why is that?" She asked Enid, her eyes still on you as you walked away.
"Well, first, they committed a crime too, so the police will be looking for them." She argued, voice more steady and controled now. "Second, they deserved an award for their courage! I mean, it was a great idea! Efficient, cruel just enough." Enid suddenly stepped towards Wednesday. "Please don't tell anyone I said this."
"Do I look like I'd?"
Enid rolled her eyes and finally directed her attention to you. "Y/N!" She called you. "What do you think?"
It was hard for you to keep a blank face. In a dangerous act, you tilted your head in Wednesday's direction and smirked.
"No!" Enid jumped over to Wednesday. "You did not!"
"How dare—" She tried to hiss at you, but Enid grabbed her shoulders.
"How did you know it?" The she-wolf inquired. "OMG! You gotta tell me everything!"
"I'll kill you." She roared at your direction while Enid walked her to her colored side of the room.
"Please, please, I have to post it!"
"No."
"But—"
"I'm offended by your belief that I truly made such a harmless plan." She shoved Enid away with a cold glance and walked towards you slowly, following you by the room as you kept trying to flee. "I'd have done worse. Much worse." She finally cornered you. Wednesday stood so close to you that you weren't able to see Enid anymore. You weren't able to seek help anymore. "Y/N did it."
You held your breath instinctively — if you breathed wrong, Wednesday could kill you. And if you looked at her wrong, she would kill you.
Your gaze was locked on hers; you could not dare to contemplate the smirk on her lips or the freckles on her cheeks; you could not dare to follow the trace of her jawline or watch how softly her bang moved. If you did it right now, you did not know what the consequences would be.
However, Wednesday wasn't so cautious. Her gaze fell to your lips immediately, and her smirk grew wickedly as she watched your features twisting in stir and confusion.
"Please tell me everything!" Enid pumped up beside you and you jumped in reflex. Your eyes finally left Wednesday's. "Please! I promise I'll leave you anonymous but I have to know everything about that guy." Enid held your hand and pulled you away from the goth girl. "I want everyone to know what he had done."
You glanced at Wednesday for a brief second, not trying to get allowance, but to know why she did it, why she revealed you.
She wanted you to be friends with Enid too? Or was it a little revenge for your silly action?
Either way, it despaired you; You were sweating under Enid's careful touch.
She was glancing at you with expectation, and part of you knew Hank would never approve it.
But Hank didn't approve anything.
So you shook your head.
X
The interview with Enid turned out to be a slumber party. While she giggled and gasped at your short responses, Thing helped her to build...something. A fortress, you guessed, made of colorful blankets. Half of it was pink and yellow, the other half was black and white. You stood in the middle, unsure of where to go.
"So you found him drunk in the street and took your chance?" She asked after laying on the padded floor. "It was spontaneous like that?"
You shook your head, but it was Wednesday who replied. Your surprise by her voice was so great that you stepped back and watched her carefully.
"Y/N told me about the plan before we found him."
"So you found the douche in the street together?"
"Yes." She replied, unaware of where Enid wanted to get.
You were.
"So you were walking together? Like a date?"
You stepped away once again. You didn’t want to stand between the two girls right now.
"We spent the night together." Enid gasped, but Wednesday went on. "Investigating."
"I thought Hank was your partner in crime."
"Not anymore."
Not anymore. So you were. You were her partner.
You clutched your hands and grabbed your own arms, scratching yourself at distance from them both.
"Are you done with your questions?"
"No."
Wednesday stared at Enid, but the she-wolf didn't back away.
"Does Hank know about it?"
"Hank's a suspect."
You could no longer hear them. Your nervousness and excitement turned to anger in less than a second; you stormed out of the room with silent steps.
"What?"
"He's been lying to all of us."
Wednesday could only hear you closing the window to the balcony. Enid, Thing, and Wednesday watched you walking purposely and climbing over the rail.
A chill ran over Wednesday's body for a moment; she froze, and her chest stopped beating with the thought of what you could do. But you remained motionless, simply sat over the parapet, fingers tapping the concrete nervously.
You knew he was a suspect — it was obvious — you had no reason to react like this. No reason at all.
Still, you ran away from her like you did after arguing with Hank. Like you were angry and offended, upset. Why would you—
"Wednesday." Enid's voice stopped her train of thought. She glanced at the she-wolf abruptly, her expression flushed and confused like her roommate had never seen. "Go talk to him."
Silently, Wednesday followed the advice and walked to the balcony with loud steps. Behind her, Thing started to sign to Enid with hushed gestures.
"Y/N"
"What's your family like?" You shot at her; You didn't give her the chance to approach you, you didn't even turn to talk to her. She walked towards you before answering.
"Smothering and embarrassing."
"So they love you." Your voice didn't sound affected, nor angry. It sounded distant. "They love you." You whispered, and Wednesday wouldn't have listened to you if she hadn't just sat by your side.
Your head was turned to the sky darkening, your feet moved in the air as your fingers tapped the rail.
Where were you?
"I could say it's my dream." You said suddenly, low voice and eyes on the heavens. "To have a family like this."
"You don't know them."
"I know you." Your head dropped, but you didn't look back at her. "And I....I think..." Your voice was disappearing. "I think you are..." Wednesday noticed how red your face turned one moment before you shook your head and moved away from her. "I had a family too." You said with more strength in your tone. "After my father, I found Hank and...Rachel." You smiled weakly, and finally turned to Wednesday. Her skin mingled when she saw the sadness in your face. "Hank is not a suspect. He cannot be." Your gaze dropped as your fingers stopped tapping. Slowly, your whole body and countenance seemed to be turning off. "Not after he had done to Rachel....for me."
"I saw your poem." Wednesday told you, voice colder than you wished. "He took you back to the camps."
"He made a deal with the devil. He surrendered in order to keep me alive."
"He gave up. He killed Rachel. He locked you. "
"He—" you choked. "He kept me alive...from her." Your hand unconsciously touched your right rib. "I got hurt when we first escaped and Rachel...wanted to use it. Use me."
Wednesday frowned at your downcast expression.
You were betrayed too.
How were you not angry?
"But in your poem you blame him. You say you miss her."
"I do." You whispered. "She was desperate, and I still think she didn't mean it. But Hank...He became one of them that night." You wiped a tear away. "He's still my family, but he's bonded to them too."
"How?"
"Through blood." You swallowed dryly. "Now he owns a camp too."
"He's guilty too."
"Y-yes." You turned to her, eyes gleaming with tears. "I don't know what to do."
"He deserves it, Y/N."
"He was used!"
"He made a choice." She retorted firmly. Mercilessly.
You widened at her, lips suddenly clued in a straight line.
She would never have mercy for him, or for anybody. She was not like this.
"He's my brother." Your grunt made Wednesday frown. You sounded, probably for the first time ever, upset. "My family."
"I cannot let him—"
"I know." You cut her off. "I'm only asking for a chance. For a doubt." You felt her hand suddenly; you didn't intend to hold her, nor reach her, but she was sitting closer than you thought. Your skin brushed against her only for a moment. Only before you ask: "Could you?"
"You're naive."
You shook your head, slowly and lazily. It was the response: no, she could not.
She would never have mercy on Hank.
You accepted defeat with a hard swallow and turned your head to the stars again. With her intervention or not, you'd protect Hank.
But you preferred to have her by your side.
"Yes." She said, and you turned to her so quickly that you almost lost your balance. "Only one." She repeated strictly.
And then she saw that smile again, the same when she said you were friends, ecstatic and electrified. Alive, more than ever, so energetic it made her feel it too. And what she felt made she look away, but she could still hear your happiness when you said:
"Thank you."
X
Fear has become something you got used to: since you first left your father's farm, on the day he took you to the festival, you were afraid. You were afraid because you didn't know what you'd find outside your little world — but you loved it.
Then you felt afraid again, a few years later, when you had the chance to walk around the forest by yourself. You felt afraid when you understood that the toy in your hands — the very same one the L/N's gave in order to conquer you — was stained with your father's blood.
You were afraid the night after, when you were completely alone in the camps — and you felt afraid every single night since then.
Fear guided you, drove you: it made you hide, and it kept you alive this far. You hate it.
But, tonight, you felt none of it — just like the night before, when you counted the freckles on Wednesday’s hands. When you felt the warmth of her closeness, and the hitch of her breath as she read your writing. Somehow, despite being haunted and hunted together, you felt no fright, and you knew she was responsible for it.
She was brave like no one you've met before — and maybe, just maybe, some part of her courage has rubbed off on you. Just like she was learning to write poems from you, you were learning bravery from her.
And it was your brand new courage that made you look for her in the middle of the night.
"Wednesday?" You whispered in the dark, not sure if she was awake. As comfortable as you were, laid down on the blanket fortress, you didn't seem able to fall asleep. "I must tell you something."
"Do not thank me again." She hissed, way louder than you. Surprisingly, the she-wolf was still asleep. Her snoring was still louder than yours and Wednesday’s voices. "It's unnecessary and distressing."
"No." You felt your face heating. "It's not that."
"Then say it." Her words were met with silence: suddenly, from her side, Wednesday heard and felt nothing but your shaking breathing. You were closer than she expected, and she was surprised when you moved slightly away.
"That night…" She could feel the sheet slipping under her as you spoke. "When you saw m—the Alp." You corrected yourself hushedly. "It got inside your head."
Wednesday turned her face to you: her features moved fast, attentively in the dark, but she couldn't find you. She could only hear your hoarse, low voice, whispering the last words she wanted to hear.
"I saw what he did." You paused. If Wednesday could see you, she wouldn't stand the expression in your face, nor understand it: the frowned eyes, scrunched nose, twisted lips. She wouldn't recognize your anger — she had never seen it, after all — but it disturbed your face as much as it burned your body. And she would never comprehend how it did not affect your voice. "And I must tell you that…" Her hand reached you in the pitch dark. "You're wrong." Wednesday's touch made you gasp the words; for a brief second, your tone failed, but you went on, no matter how hard her grip was.
"You're not unlovable." You held her instead of fleeing: that was what she expected you to do. To shy away from her, from her touch — that was what she wanted to do. "You're not detached."
Her fingers left your skin and you shook. You trembled in the complete dark. But you had to finish.
"You have a heart that overwhelms you and I—" Your voice cracked. "I…" You closed your eyes and said, "I want to know it."
Wednesday remained out of your sight, and the room suddenly went silent — you saw nothing and heard nothing. Not even Enid's roars.
"Please" You whispered last. "Would you let me know your heart?"
Coldness involved your burning face as you felt something suddenly coming closer — the dark was not enough to hide Wednesday now. Her hands were on you, and could watch her eyes, only inches away from yours, targeting you. Not with rage, not with determination, but with an unknown gleam that shone even in the darkness.
And those same pitch black, yet bright eyes closed as her breath engulfed you.
"Guys?" Enid moaned, her claws stretching out and reaching Wednesday's blanket. The Addams girl retreated immediately, and the sound coming from her gritting teeth proved that she was more annoyed than startled. "You fine?"
"I'll kill you." Wednesday roared.
"Oh" Enid yawned. "Sweet dreams for ya"
Sinclair's snores restarted, and your heat finally felt like ceasing. But the coldness didn't leave your skin, then you realized Wednesday's hand was still covering yours.
"You need to sleep." You felt her grip pulling you in her direction.
"I don't want to." Either way, you obeyed, moving slowly over the blankets. "I don't want her to end this."
'This' , Wednesday thought again, 'what was this?'
"I won't let it." She spoke before her mind could silence her: her rationale told her she should not, but the heat coming from your body, now laying so close to hers, confused her. Her hand was still on your skin, and she was the one pulling you closer. "I won't let her."
She felt your hair trickling her skin, and she smiled; the smell of dew and old books mingled inside of her lungs. Suddenly, her whole body was filled by your scent, and an uncontrollable smile grew widely in her lips.
You could only see a glimpse of it and, yet, it was the most beautiful image you have ever seen: Wednesday, laid by your side, smiling blatantly at you. Because of you.
You intertwined your fingers with hers, and her slow breathing soon helped you to relax.
You were smiling too, and enjoying her closeness with serenity: your hands were glued together, as your heads brushed softly. You were close enough to keep each other at safety, at peace. At fondness.
At warmth and rest.
"Sweet dreams, Wednesday."
You whispered, almost in her ear, before closing your eyes.
"Sweet dreams, Y/N."
X
"You don't understand what she's like." Rachel hissed in a desperate whisper, running after Hank as he paced over the room, looking for as many remedies as he could find. "We cannot stop now. She'll find us. She'll find Y/N if he—"
"If he doesn't sleep, he'll die." Hank argued back, picking a bottle of alcohol and gathering it with the others medical equipments. "It's out of discussion."
A sob of pain grew louder as they approached you: the bed was soaked with your sweat , and your gritting teeth could be heard from meters away. You were grasping the sheet as if they were your life — your freedom. And in some certain way, they really were; if you blacked out now, the Alp would rise, and the Hexe would find you all.
If you stayed awake, however, such as you were trying so hard to be now....maybe you wouldn't make it.
"If he sleeps, we all die." Rachel repeated, in a stronger and deeper voice. "We need to let him, Hank...It's him or us."
"What?"
"Your heard me." Rachel sobbed. "We can come back later, with policemen and weapons. We can free everyone and end this!" You grunted: only a few words made sense to you, but her cries forced you to look up. To look at her. And to notice how painfully she avoided your gaze. Her eyes were locked on a distant figure: Hank, then agitated and reactive, now was quiet, motionless. Rachel watched his back, his almost unnoticeable breathing. She went on: "We can, I swear we will, but only if we survive now!" The boy didn't move. He stood in the dark, completely silent. "Hank, please!"
What happened next was hard for you to understand: you saw a bright flash of blue light, you heard a roar — maybe Hank's, maybe your own — and you felt a weight. A grip, claws cutting deep into your skin as you tried to scream.
But it wasn't Hank. Your widened eyes glanced at the creature that made you winch: an werewolf. Rachel's transformed. Her claws and teeth engulfed* you as the blue light approached — your flesh was pierced apart, and when you thought that the cut on your rib would knock you down, the pain coming through your chest awakened you.
"STOP!" A voice, trembling and low like fire crackling, took over your ears — your mind. The presence of the devil dominated your mind before you could actually see it. The Kigatilik was in front of you, white and curled as always, long claws and fingers being raised as the blood emerged, soaking your clothes.
You blinked, slowly, painfully: the scene didn't make sense for you; You only recognized the inuit, and its broad, monstrous back covered every glimpse of the werewolf. Hank — now in his devilish form — stood between you and Rachel. He— it forced the beast away, marching over to her until the roars became barks. In the middle of the dark, in the middle of the night — the monsters were fighting over you. Sweat and blood sprinkled over you, mingling with your own.
You couldn't see much, you couldn't hear much; all you could do was breathe: it was hard and painful, but you managed to — you had to.
The last thing your understood was:
"Take me." The plea came from a hoarse, sobbing voice. It came from below, from the devil crawling on the floor, on the pool of blood. "Not him. Take me." There was a shadow standing above him. You saw: you knew it. You could see the gleam of its eyes shining in the dark. Like the shadow itself was watching you.
Like a nightmare observing.
Like the Mare.
The Hexe said "Yes."
And it all went black.
