Anne-Marie & Martin Swoon
They fell in love in high school. It was young love, but it was true. After graduation they went to a local community college together, hand in hand.. side by side. Two years after graduating and while still working through their college classes, Anne-Marie wound up pregnant. It was no one's fault but their own... didn't make it any less scary. Martin hadn't taken long after that discovery to get down on a knee to which, of course, everyone said was due to her pregnancy... but it wasn't. He'd wanted to marry Anne-Marie since they went to junior prom together. He just didn't know when the right time to ask would ever be.. until the time was right there in front of him.
They got married while Anne-Marie was six months pregnant. A small, little thing in hill country with close friends and family. It was a brilliant day and a beautiful night. One they'd always remember, but nothing would compare to the day their little boy came into the world. Maxwell Alexander Swoon. It'd be a couple years later that Betty (after Anne-Marie's grandma) Karen (after Martin's mother) Swoon came into the world early July 12th months after the wedding. She was welcomed with warm embrace and love that she would know for so many years to come.
And she did. Betty's life was good. It was content, happy, filled to the brim with joy. Sure there were ups and downs, but her parents were in love and they worked together to raise her. Anne-Marie staying at home to raise her, letting go of her dreams of becoming a nurse, while Martin worked as a science teacher at a high school. Betty got to see love happen in real time as she grew up, watching two people so in love with each other and caring for her. She was lucky.
But luck runs out, right?
Anne-Marie passed when Betty was fourteen. The woman having fallen gravely ill. It took a few months for it to catch up to her, but... eventually they were laying her mother to rest. It had been an incredibly hard period of time for her and her father, but they remained close and helpful to each other. Betty picked up some of the housework to help ease her father's worries after a long day, both of them now operating out of the same school-- him teaching, her attending. And as the years passed the grieving and mourning got easier, but there isn't a day that goes by where she doesn't think about her mother. So much of her wishes her mom could see her on a stage... following her dreams. Her mother wanted nothing more than Betty to do just that.. follow her dreams and be every bit of the girl they were proud of.
Martin continues to attend whatever concert he can for his daughter when they're within the state of California. At times he'll travel out of state for her, but he lets her live her life. Lets her explore and be her own person, but he couldn't be prouder of his little girl. All five feet of her, amazing how someone his height could have someone that tiny. But hey. She made an impact and he knew Anne-Marie's personality had a lot to do with it. He sees a lot of his wife in his daughter, himself too, but he's so grateful his little girl got all of Anne-Marie's qualities. She had been their better half after all...

You didn’t want kids. Well, that’s not true. You were indifferent to kids.
That was until you saw your boyfriend with them. You didn’t think you could be more attracted to him, but then he had to go and check off the "great with kids" box. Maybe it’s just his playful side, but Lee Donghyuck is just so good with them.
And being forced to attend his niece’s first birthday party made you realise it. Honestly, you’d never given much thought to the idea of kids—cute yes, ready to give up endless nights of sleep, no.
But the minute after you walked through his childhood family home and were done greeting his parents and siblings, a swarm of kids ran at him, hugging his legs and stomach. And he just melted into them, so gentle and excited. It was cute and made you smile.
From then it was him letting his oldest niece cover his tanned cheeks in blush and stickers, to tossing a ball with his nephew after he announced he made the basketball team—and don’t even get started on him poking the chubby cheeks of his youngest niece, her soft giggles filling the backyard of the party.
It was like he was in his element—soft, loving, and completely at ease. And even though his nieces and nephews had other uncles and aunts, they’d always say Uncle Hyuck was their favourite—even if they weren’t supposed to.
You watch him from the patio door in the kitchen, overhearing him tell his dad he’s “too young to be having the adult conversations,” which was really code for ‘let me play with the kids.’
Running around, telling jokes, creating games. It had your stomach turning and—were your heart strings being pulled? Seeing this absolute perfect man, so caring and playful, living just to make those little ones laugh and smile, had you seriously considering the sleepless nights that might come with having some of your own.
Wait.
“He’s good with them, huh?”
You jolt, turning to see Hyuck’s sister standing behind you.
“Uh... yeah, I guess so,” you shrug. She steps beside you, and the two of you stand there, watching your boyfriend bounce his niece in his arms, soothing her gently.
She giggles, and you glance over at Hyuck’s sister again. “What?”
“Nothing,” she shrugs. “Just... you’re looking at him like you’re ready to add to the Lee family name.”
You gasp. “I am not!”
She gives you a knowing look, and you bite your lip, eyes shifting back to Hyuck. This time, he’s handing his niece a sippy cup, tapping her nose. Your chest tightens.
“Okay... I suppose he is good with them.”
Hyuck’s sister nods, humming in agreement. “He always has been. With every younger sibling, every cousin—even when I had my first daughter, Hyuck was the most excited.”
He’s sitting on the grass now, all his nieces and nephews swarming him, tickling him. He’s being extra dramatic, letting the younger ones tug at his hair just to make them laugh. You stare, warmth and wholesomeness filling you.
“He’d make a great dad, Y/N.”
The statement is completely sobering.
“Uh,” you stammer, running a hand through your hair. “I don’t know. We haven’t really talked about it.”
That’s not entirely true. You had spoken about it—once. You’d told him it wasn’t something you had planned for but weren’t necessarily opposed to, and the conversation had never come up again.
Hyuck’s sister blinks at you, clearly confused. “That’s crazy. Hyuck’s always said he wants to be a dad.”
Clearly.
There’s no denying that. It’s so obvious—every second he’s cupping up the kids, tickling them, teasing them. He looks so profoundly happy, so perfect. And it suddenly clicks for you.
This could be yours. Forever. He wants it. And now... you’re starting to think you want it, too. Him, this, forever. His kids. Your kids.
“Y/N! Y/N!” one of the younger kids calls, waving you over from across the backyard. “Can you play with us? We need more people to play the monsters. Uncle Hyuckie can’t do it on his own.”
And just like that, you’re being pulled away from the baby fever conversation and coaxed into joining them—not that it took much convincing. Your thoughts were starting to scare you a little. You’d never seriously thought about kids—until now.
Because you’d never seen Hyuck look more attractive than when he was playing dad.
Tumblr media
“I can’t believe she’s one already,” Hyuck beams from where he’s stretched out on your bed. He’s been talking about the party nonstop since you got home. “Did you see the little bows in her hair? So fucking cute.”
You glance at him through the vanity mirror where you’re sitting, watching the way his face lights up, animated and so full of joy. There’s a warmth in your eyes, your lips curved into a soft smile as you take him in. He notices, raising an eyebrow.
“What’s that look for?”
You stand and walk over to him, leaning down to press a gentle kiss to his lips. His eyebrows knit together, more confused now.
“Y/N, what’s going on?”
You smile, sidestepping his question with one of your own. “Did you have fun today?”
“Yess
?” he replies, but there’s a trace of suspicion in his voice.
“Your family’s really nice.”
“Oh, are they now?” He squints playfully. “I saw you talking to my sister. I hope she wasn’t embarrassing me—she loves doing that.”
You shake your head with a giggle. “She wasn’t.”
“Okay
” he draws out. “Then what was she saying?”
“That you’d be a good dad. That you want to be a dad.”
Hyuck’s eyes widen and you mentally add this moment to the short list of times your boyfriend has been rendered completely speechless—still countable on one hand.
He coughs, his cheeks turning pink. “S-She said that?”
You nod, biting your lip to keep from laughing.
“And
what did you say back?”
You spread his legs out on the bed so you can slide between them, sitting there and looking up at him as he waits, eager for your response. He’s so cute like this—adorable, even—clearly dying to hear what you thought.
“I didn’t respond,” you admit honestly.
You catch the flicker of hurt in his eyes, but he covers it with a laugh—though it’s not genuine. You can tell he’s trying to brush it off, trying to pretend that he’d be okay with the possibility that you might not want that kind of future with him.
“She shouldn’t have said that,” he mumbles, embarrassed. “I used to talk about it a lot as a kid. I don’t really think like that now. I can’t, you know
 because of my job.”
“So you don’t want kids because of your job?” You ask. The tone in your voice takes him by surprise because now you’re the one sounding hurt.
“Baby... is this a trick question?” He laughs nervously.
You shake your head, crossing your arms across your chest. “No Hyuck. But I want you to answer it truthfully.”
He shrugs, looking unsure. “I don’t know. I haven’t really thought about it.”
“You’re lying.”
He lets out a frustrated sigh, running a hand through his hair. “Baby, I don’t know what you want me to say—”
“The truth,” you insist.
He pauses, his gaze softening. “I love you, Y/N. You said kids weren’t really part of your plan, and that’s okay,” he begins, his voice steady but sincere. “And yeah, maybe I always kind of thought kids would be in mine, but then I met you. And you became my plan.”
You grab a hold of his hand and squeeze. It draws a genuine smile from him before he speaks again.
“I know we’ve never talked about it since. But I’m fine with anything—as long as it’s with you.”
You smile, his comment pulling at your heartstrings because you feel the exact same way.
“Those kids absolutely adore you, Hyuck,” you say and he gives a half smile.
“Well, I am their favourite Uncle.”
You trail a soft finger up and down the naked skin of his arm. His eyes follow your touch and that furrowed expression is on his face again.
“Y/N what’s going on with you? You’re confusing me—”
“You know—” you cut him off. “I think you’d be a great dad.”
He stares at you, properly taking you in. He’s never seen this side of you before, and you’ve never given him a compliment quite like that before. The thought of you being into the idea of him as a dad
well, he didn’t expect it to turn him on this much. Maybe it’s the way your fingers brush his arm? Yeah no, it’s not.
“Today made me realise something,” you say, shifting to straddle his hips, your arms wrapping around his neck now. He raises a curious brow, waiting. “You look so hot with kids. The thought of you being a dad is so fucking hot, Hyuck.”
Hyuck smiles at the confession, and his hands move to grip your ass as he ground your hips forward on himself. You let out a small gasp of surprise as you feel him.
“Please don’t joke like that, Y/N,” he whines, eyes squeezing shut. “Because I’ve been thinking about you being the mother of my kids since the day I met you.”
You giggle, biting your lip to stifle the soft moans escaping you as he grinds you slowly against his growing bulge.
“Well, why don’t you do something about it then,” you tease breathlessly, feeling the hardness of him through his sweatpants.
Hyuck’s mouth parts, caught somewhere between awe and shock, but before he can question how serious you are, your lips capture his, and your tongue is slipping inside his mouth to deepen the kiss.
The groan you both share is synchronised, and it’s all the encouragement he needs to flip you over, hovering above you with a renewed sense of urgency to make promise of your teasing.
His fingers hook into your panties, sliding them off as you shift upward against your pillows, tossing your nightgown aside. Hyuck strips out of his own clothes, desperate to press his bare skin against yours, his need overwhelming any sense of patience.
He kisses you back roughly, passionately. Fuelled by your impossible hotness and readiness to be fucked—fucked by him. Your tongue dips deeper and deeper into his mouth, never satisfied, craving more of him. You cling to him, your hands and legs moving over his skin, desperate to feel every inch. Your hips roll up, slickness coating his shaft, causing a rippling gasp to leave his mouth.
Hyuck pulls back with dark eyes. You—his girl—naked and desperate under him, begging him to do something about his baby fever—your baby fever. It’s the hottest shit he’s ever seen. His new favourite thing. His obsession. He loves seeing you like this, he decides—so willing, so desperate for him, for his cock. Needing him to bring you the pleasure only he can give. And he’ll make sure you remember that once you're carrying his child.
The image floods his mind—your stomach growing, swelling with his baby, the glow in your smile as you hold his child. A family, all with him. Only him. Because you want his kids.
The last thought pushes him over the edge, and with a low growl, he bites down on your neck, lips and teeth claiming your skin. He wants you marked by him—like always—but this time it’s different. It’s possessive. Primal. Feral. His saliva wet on your neck, dark bruises blooming over your breasts, his fingers burning prints into your hips, and his seed buried deep inside your soaking wet cunt.
His cock jumps when you roll your hips again, your whimpers causing him to groan and eyes roll back. You sound so desperate. Desperate to make him your forever.
“Hyuck—” you sob as his teeth graze your nipple, sending it hardening under his touch. “Please, I need to feel you.”
His eyes sparkle with lust as he drapes your legs over his waist and leans down, capturing your mouth in a long, needy kiss. He aligns himself with your slick pussy, your fingers clawing at his back as he slowly eases into you. He fills you completely, lifting your hips to bury himself deeper.
“So fucking pretty like this,” he mumbles, pulling away to admire the way you take his thick cock. “Taking me so well, always so good for me, aren’t you, baby?”
You moan as his cock hits every spot inside you—so deep, so hard, so good. Each thrust drags along your walls in a way that feels divine.
“Can’t wait until you’re mine, so full of me,” he whispers, kissing your neck. You whimper, your walls clenching at his words, urging him to quicken his pace. “Do you want that, baby? Want my cum inside this pretty pussy?”
“Yes—fuck yes—please.”
“Say it for me,” he requests softly, a gentle yet desperate edge in his voice. “Please tell me.”
“I want to be yours; make me yours,” you breathe out.
Hyuck's gaze drops to your lips, entranced by the words spilling from them. He thrusts harder, your nails digging into his skin as you pull him closer. Your cunt swallows his cock whole, turning his thrusts sloppy, and he groans.
You’re practically sobbing with how fast he’s driving into you, so close to seeing stars.
“You’re so good at taking me,” he praises, his breath ragged. “Gonna make me fill you.”
You squeeze around him, and the thought of cumming inside you sends a shiver through his thighs, making his breathing stutter.
“Yes! Fuck, please keep going,” You pant.
“Want you so full of me that it’s dripping down your leg. And then I’ll push it back in when I fuck you again.”
Your breaths grow louder and quicker, matching his as you both teeter on the edge. He kisses you deeply, your mouths suffocating each other as you grip his soft brown hair. His fingers dig into your hips, holding you tight.
“Hyuck—I’m gonna cum.”
“So fucking good, baby,” he moans in awe. “I’m going to fill you with my cum. I want you overflowing with my seed—fuck!” He grunts hoarsely, his body tightening with tension.
Your walls shatter around him, tightening and fluttering on his cock as you cum. Hyuck holds you close, so intimately, holding himself deep inside you as he feels the first spurts of his cum shooting from his cock.
He doesn’t stop, his hips still moving gently, making sure you take everything, softening each thrust with tender kisses along your bare shoulders. You sigh dreamily, fingers threading through his hair, and he smiles, still half-hard inside you. You’re exhausted, and the sight of your sleepy expression makes his heart twist. Leaning down, he presses a soft kiss to your lips, and for a moment, you stay like that—so close, so intimate.
But as the post-orgasm bliss begins to fade, a flicker of panic flashes in his eyes.
“Fuck—” he mutters, pulling himself off of you quickly. There’s a gnawing feeling in his chest, a sudden guilt. “Y/N, I’m really sorry, I got caught up in the moment. Do you want me to run to the store—”
“No.” You shake your head and grab his arm, keeping him close. “I don’t want you to. If that’s okay
”
His eyes darken with lust before a slow smile spreads across his face.
“Y-yeah
that’s more than okay with me,” he says, nodding eagerly.
“Who knows?” You shrug with a teasing grin. “I might not even get pregnant this time.”
His eyebrows shoot up. “This time?”
You nod confidently. “Yeah, this time. Because we’re going to keep doing this until I am pregnant, Hyuck.”
His grin widens as he climbs back into bed, pulling you into his arms.
“I never thought I’d hear you say that, especially not when I woke up this morning,” he laughs, pressing soft kisses along your neck.
You giggle, leaning into his touch. “What can I say? Seeing you in dad mode made me so fucking horny.”

Navigating parenthood is not an easy task, to this day it's still a daunting task. Mark's eldest son is already 13 but until now there are days he worries he might not be doing it right.
Then he thinks of you, how you've basically dedicated your life growing and nurturing your family and all he can think about is how lucky he is. You have gifted him with three beautiful children and a home you've built with love, compassion, kindness and everything good in this world. To Mark, you deserve nothing less than the universe but for now all he can give you is a luxury vacation with your mom.
At first you were reluctant to leave him with all 3 kids but Minjung is at that age where he already helps around the house, Minjee is grown enough too and knows just what she likes and when she likes it and Minsu well he's still a baby but Mark can handle that.
Or so he says.
"Buddy, can you check on your sister please? She's been quiet for five minutes. I'm getting worried" Mark tells his oldest while the youngest is fast asleep in his arms after drinking milk.
Minjung gets up from where he was reading his book to go check on his sister, it was still early in the day so Mark's thinking of taking everyone out to pass some time.
Mark waits for the two siblings to come downstairs after calling their names, the two walking towards the living room "How about we go out for the day? Go to the beach and have a picnic?" he suggests
"But mom said you can't cook, you're not allowed to touch the stove" Minjee says like she's teasing her dad
"I'm not going to, missy. We're going to get food outside then we'll have a picnic"
"Sounds fun" Minjung says
"Can I bring some plushies?" Minjee asks "You can take two"
"But daaaad"
"Nope not today, sissy. It's only the four of us okay? If one of your dolls get lost I can't find it. You can take them all next time"
The little girl pouts but nods her head. Mark gives himself a mental pat in the back for not saying yes to her so easily, you'd be proud of him.
"Okay, go get ready. We'll leave in a while"
The trip to the beach was quick, turns out Minjee is very much like you. She didn’t enjoy being under the sun for too long and didn’t like it when the sand get between her toes. It was adorable but Mark can only handle so much alone so the four of them ended up at a nearby ice cream shop before heading home.
When they got home, Mark ordered food for everyone since he’s still banned from cooking and the kids wanted pizza for dinner so that’s what he got. Then he got them ready for bed before checking the house and making his way upstairs to your bedroom.
Mark just finished talking with you on the phone when he hears the knocking on the bedroom door before Minjung pokes his head in, “Dad? Can I go in?”
“Hey buddy, what’s up? Why aren’t you sleeping yet?” Mark asks his oldest son, patting your side of the bed. Minjung walks towards his dad, getting on the bed beside his dad
“There’s something I want to ask you” he says, playing with his fingers. A mannerism he got from you, Mark notices. You used to do that too when you’re about to ask him about something.
“What is it?” he asks his son
“How did you tell mom you liked her?”
Mark was definitely not expecting that question, and he’s definitely not ready for one of his babies to start asking about love.
“How did I tell your mom I liked her?” Mark asked back, making Minjung nod his head
“Well I uh, actually it’s a funny story” Mark smiles as he recalls the memory from that day. The start of you and him. “I had a big crush on your mom, I liked her so so much I always get nervous when I talk to her, I always end up saying only two to three words to her. She was the prettiest girl in class, she’s smart, confident. I really thought she was waaaay out of my league. But she was always nice to me, she always talked to me in class, shared her notes with me when I was busy or I missed a class. Then I thought about asking her to get ice cream after school but I got too shy, your uncle Hyuck had to help me”
“What happened?” Minjung asks, smiling up at his dad. Excited to hear the story.
“He literally pushed me in front of your mom and told her I had something to say. I stuttered so bad but she just smiled at me, that was the day I embarrassed myself in front of her but that was also the day she said yes to getting ice cream with me” Mark grins at his son, their smiles a mirror of each other.
Now he realizes Minjung has always been surrounded with love because of you and him. He didn’t have to worry because his son knows what love is.  Him and his siblings are a product of that love, and also this home.
Everyday Minjung hears his mom laugh at his dad’s joke even though sometimes it’s not that funny, everyday he sees his dad smile at his mom even when she’s not looking, everyday he sees them hugging in the kitchen during the quiet morning just before all the rush, everyday he sees his dad come in the door after a long day at work with his arms wide open waiting for his mom’s hug like a homecoming ceremony.
“How did you know you love mom?”
“It’s a lot of things all at once. I don’t know how to describe it, not even now after being together for so many years. A part of me always knew she was the one even before I fully realized it. I don’t remember life before her or what comes after her. I just know I live for her, and you and your siblings” he tells his son, giving his hair a ruffle “You’ll know what I’m talking about one day”
“So, I just ask her to go get ice cream with me?” Minjung asks
Oh right, Mark remembers what this conversation was about. “Yea, just think about what she likes. If she likes ice cream then yeah, or if she likes going out for a walk how about a walk in the park or movies. Just be genuine, always be a gentleman and respect her decision”
Minjung nods at his father’s words, “When is mom coming home?”
“Tomorrow”
“Can I uh, stay here with you? Can we watch Spiderman?”
Mark can never say no to his kids, even after all these years of being a dad he still doesn’t know how to do it. That’s why he always gets scolded by you because the kids know they can ask him if there’s something they want and you say no.
“Sure buddy, that sounds fun. Go get the remote”
A few hours later, the father-son look alike is fast asleep on the bed. The tv playing in the background, casting a light on the two. That was the sight that welcomed you when you entered the bedroom.
You wanted to surprise Mark by coming home tonight but it looks like you’re the one being surprised. Mark was snoring lightly while Minjung was sleeping beside him, you see the movie playing on the screen and chuckle to yourself. Minhyung and Minjung really are twins.
Watching Minjung grow up, you see more of Mark in him as the years pass by. Feels like yesterday you just took him home, two very nervous first time parents. Now your first baby is growing up to be a fine young man.
Walking slowly towards the bed, you get the remote first to turn off the tv. Pulling the covers over Minjung to make sure he’s tucked in. Leaning down to give him a goodnight kiss before going back to Mark’s side. There was enough space for you to scoot yourself in, you lay your head on his chest. The feeling of something or someone rather, laying on him makes Mark wake up from his slumber
“Huh?” he grumbles, arms reaching out to feel around the bed. Then he recognizes immediately who it was “Baby, you’re here already?”
“Yea, I wanted to surprise you and the kids” you whisper back. You feel his arms tighten around you, holding you closer on his chest and giving you a kiss on the forehead.
“Is everything okay with Minjung?” you ask, wondering why he’s sleeping here
“Huh? Oh yea, we were just watching a movie. I’ll tell you everything tomorrow. Are you okay sleeping here? You comfy?”
You smile at his question, there’s really no place more comfortable than his embrace. You lean your head up to kiss him on the chin before tucking yourself back into him. “I’m good here. Goodnight, baby”
“I missed you” you hear him say before sleep takes over once again.
And that’s how you ended your day, with your two boys with you. The next morning, you wake up before the two boys. You gently pry away from Mark’s grip to check on your other babies. You check Minjee first, she’s still fast asleep on her bed while cuddling one of her many plushies. She’s always been a deep sleeper. You know not to wake her up or else she’ll be grumpy the whole day so you let her be.
Next you check your youngest, Minsu. The baby boy also still fast asleep in his crib. Now a year old, he’s a mix of you and Mark. He got your nose and his father’s cheeks. He likes watching his older brother play the piano ad loves dancing with his big sister. Minsu is the beloved youngest member of the Lee family.
You make your way downstairs to start breakfast, but first you make yourself a cup of coffee. You were waiting for the coffee to brew when you feel a pair of arms circle your waist, your husband burrying his face on the side of your neck
“Goodmorning, Mr. Lee. How was your sleep?”
“Better, now that you’re back. But you left so I woke up”
You chuckle at how adorable Mark was, even after all these years he can still make the butterflies in your stomach flutter all around. It’s silly but your crush for your husband never really went away, if anything it just got stronger over the years.
“You’re cute, so how was the kids while I was gone?” you ask him, this time Mark rests his chin on your shoulder to tell you about the previous happenings while you were gone
“Minsu is an angel, he loves the baby food you left. I think it was the mashed avocado one. Minjee can now ride a bike, she’s still wobbly but she’s definitely better than you”
“Hey!”
“I’m kidding baby, but am I wrong? You don’t know how to ride a bike” he teases you
“I know how to ride you” you tease him back. You can hear Mark laugh from behind you, feeling his chest vibrate against your back “That you do, don’t tempt me”
You turn around in his arms so now you’re chest to chest, Mark looks down at you eyes full of love “I missed you” he mumbles
“Missed you too, where’s my kiss?” You don’t need to ask him twice, his lips are immediately on yours. You can feel him smile against your lips, arms tightening around you. You enjoyed the short vacation but really there’s no place you’d rather be, this is your own safe haven.
Mark is  and will forever your own getaway.
Breaking away from each other, Mark peppers kisses all over your face eliciting giggles from you.
“By the way, is Minjung okay? Why was he in our room last night?” you ask your husband
“Oh yea, he just wanted to ask me about something. Be ready though”
“Be ready for what?”
“Our son asked me how I asked you out, I think he’s planning to ask someone out on a date”
You stare back at him with a shocked look, just like Mark expected.
“Our baby’s all grown up now. Remember when you first left us home alone” Mark chuckles
“Nooooo, my baby boy”
“Well he’s not so baby anymore”
You can’t even begin to describe what you’re feeling, you’re definitely not ready for this. “What did you tell him?” you ask
“Exactly what happened when I asked you out”
“You mean when you asked me out to get ice cream, that time Hyuck literally pushed you towards me” you chuckle as you remember that day
“Mhm”
“Now that you said that, I’m wondering too. Why did you like me?” you ask him
“That’s like asking why the sky is blue” Mark mumbles, rolling his eyes playfully
“Indulge me, come on tell meeee. Or how did you know you loved me”
“I’m gonna tell you because we’re already married so you can’t run away from me now. I knew I was going to marry you the moment we met. I just knew. You smiled at me and I just know that was a smile I want to see every morning I wake up and every night before I go to sleep. I knew I loved you when you got me a bible for my birthday after I lost my old one. You said you weren’t the most religious person but you went out your way to get that for me. You loved me in ways I didn’t know I could find love. If one day Minjung ask me again about love, I’ll tell him all about you because that’s what love means to me. It’s you”
“Oh my gosh, our baby is all grown up. What are we going to do? I’m not ready for this” you tell him, eyes filled tears both from his declaration of love and the idea of your little being in love
“Hey don’t cry. It’s exciting to see him growing up, and he’s not shy asking us about what to do so it’s a good thing. We’ll be there when he needs us, our baby still needs us” he cradles your face in hands, ready to wipe any tear that’s threatening to spill
“Where did the time go? Next thing we know it’s Jee asking us if she can go out on a date. What will you do then?” you ask with a laugh
“Easy, I’ll go with them”
“You’re not going to our daughter’s first date”
“Like heck I won’t. I’ll be three tables away, she won’t even notice I’m there”
You laugh at Mark’s future plan, there’s never really a dull day being married to him. Even though you’re never sure what the future holds, one thing you’re sure of is you’re ready to face it as long as you have him by your side. You used to dream about this life you have with him, marrying the man of your dreams and live happily ever after.
But Mark gave you so much more than that, he gave you the fairytale reality others can only dream about. He’s the dream man made just for you and he’s yours in this lifetime.

You knew Changbin was not one to make rash decisions. In fact, it took you almost two years to start dating officially, and it was in part because you warned him either he gave you a label or he could lose your number.
He did not like the idea of losing you for a second. Which is how he learned to pay a little less attention to his rational side and allowed himself to go by feelings when it came to the two of you. He was smart anyway, there was no need to overthink things.
To everyone’s surprise you were the first couple in his group to get engaged, then married and a little under 2 years ago welcomed a baby girl who stole the show anywhere she went. Hajoon, was the name you came to pick together, meaning summer, she was your little ray of sunshine from the moment you first knew of her existence when you were only 6 months into married life. Changbin had gone into a short panic at first but he recovered quite smoothly and in true Seo Changbin fashion he stepped into his role as if he had been doing it all his life. You had been scared all throughout the pregnancy, not having planned for it and finding yourself struggling with morning sickness while he was away in America promoting with the boys. Giving birth made you anxious enough you actually started working out more than your husband, taking all the yoga classes you could handle and signing up for as many pre-natal pilates as possible. One would think you were never going to want to have a baby again.
And one would be wrong.
You were at peace with your small family of three until you started taking Hajoon to daycare. She was a happy little girl, knowing little more than her family and uncles. Following her father around as much as possible, she started dancing almost as quickly as she started walking and her speaking was coming along better than expected according to your in-laws. Most likely thanks to Changbin’s silly rap battles with his baby girl. No one year old could compete with his speed, but Hajoon would be damned if she didn’t try.
“No, no; she has a good rhythm!” Changbin always defended his daughter.
And the fact was, Hajoon loved to play with her daddy, with her uncles
but most of all she loved playing with her daycare buddies. You could see how happy she was in the morning when you went to wake her up, get her dressed and bring her to the kitchen to have breakfast with Changbin. Yes, she was a daddy’s girl through and through (and Changbin was lost in that girl dad daze, wrapped around her miniscule finger from day one). But she would let go of her appa the instant you mentioned daycare. And upon seeing her little friends, she would forget all about how comfortable and warm your embrace was.
Sometimes you stayed long enough to watch her find her friends, a couple of boys around her same age and a girl a little bit older.
You couldn’t help it, in your heart you craved to give her the possibility of a friend to play with at all times. Someone to share all those toys you asked the boys not to get her but somehow still made it into Hajoon’s tiny backpack whenever you would hang out.  You wanted her to have what Changbin had with his sister. And your husband’s behavior upon finishing promotions for the last mini album did not do anything other than add fuel to the fire.
Changin was not stupid (no matter what Seungmin’s opinion on the matter could be), he could tell when something was going on around him. He knew you were being “strange”. Quiet.
If he knew one thing about you, it was that you were never quiet. Even when you were thinking things over, you reasoned out loud with yourself. You were never one to stay still for too long either. You were more obvious than you would ever like to admit.
Chanbin was absolutely in love with you before Hajoon, but after she was born it was like the entire world revolved around the two of you, himself included. Which is why he was so aware of every detail in your life. How you still laid your hand in the middle of the bed between the two of you, as if your baby girl was still sleeping there as she had the first few months of her life. He knew you still used those baby oils on your daughter, refusing to move on from the baby scent. Changbin could also see how your eyes lit up at the sight of your daughter pressing her ear to Lee Know’s wife’s growing belly.
Oh, if he could he would give you a baby right there and then. But he was so busy with work these days.
Changbin arrived home under a light rain, his feet causing the water on the ground to fly around in small drops. He looked up under his umbrella to see you through the window, most likely making cookies in the kitchen with Hajoon as your helper. You two loved to play cooks. He loved to play the faithful customer.
A smile spread across his face when he heard the loud giggles erupt from the home, you yelled in surprise while a joyful high pitched voice announced “more choco-ate!”
Changbin knew your little one was a chocolate enthusiast. On that note he decided to come in, leaving his dirty boots on the entryway before calling for his family.
“I’m home!” He put his jacket away.
“Now, don’t run Joonie!” You advised from the kitchen.
The sound of light feet quickly tapping on the floor was a clear indication that your advice was not taken.
“Appaaaaa!”
Changbin knelt to catch the fast approaching girl, her pigtails flying in the air while she ran with her arms open wide. She had no doubt he would catch her so she threw herself at him and got held against her dad’s strong chest, her cheek pressed happily onto his shirt.
“There’s my princess!” He kissed the top of her head repeatedly as she giggled in his arms. “Where’s your mother, huh?”
As if you heard him, you stepped out of the kitchen. He lifted his gaze before picking up his daughter and going up to you, giving your cheek a gentle kiss.
“What are you two up to?” He looked you up and down.
You tilted your head to the side with a small smile on your face, you fixed Hajoon’s shirt that had ridden up her back and let your daughter explain.
“Cookies”, she whispered into his ear.
Changbin didn’t even flinch at the warm air his daughter blew straight into his ear.
You asked him how things had gone at the studio and he sighed in response, not wanting to say too much. He had been working on a few songs with Chan and Han for over a week, some were good and ready to go. Others were still works in progress. It seemed like they would have more than enough material for their next album, but he knew it was all a lot more work to get done. And just before his baby girl’s second birthday.
Although Changbin was keeping it to himself, he was overwhelmed. Still, you could tell.
The sweet smell of the cookies flooded the house even a few hours after you had all eaten dinner. Giving Changbin the chance to unwind, you let him and Hajoon play in the living room while you cleaned up the kitchen. The sound of the tv and some of the girl’s toys resonated through the house along with their loud laughter.
Soon enough you walked into the living room to find Changbin snoozing on the sofa with Hajoon cuddled up to his chest, head nestled in the space between his neck and shoulder. You knew you already had many photos like this, but still pulled your phone out of your pant’s pocket and took the picture.
“I’m not really asleep, you know?” Your husband’s voice startled you.
“Oh,” you jumped to put your phone away. “Do you need help with the little one?”
He shook his head slowly, pointing for you to sit next to him.
You turned the tv down as you went to take a seat next to him, his free arm reached for your hand and intertwined your fingers.
“We need to talk,” he mumbled.
You looked back into his eyes. He was tired from the long day at work, you sighed and wondered what he wanted to talk about so you nodded and watched your daughter’s peaceful face. She was sound asleep, exhausted by the afternoon walk and the subsequent baking session.
“What is it?” You turned in your seat to face him more.
Changbin let out a heavy sigh, he did not like that he needed to bring it up but he could not have you hoping he would catch on to you and go along with it.
“You know I love you,” he wasn’t asking but you nodded at his words, “and I love Joonie, you two mean so much to me
”
He closed his eyes and you tugged on his hand, speaking as well. Encouraging your husband. Maybe the two of you knew where this conversation was going, reading each other in a heartbeat.
“Oh, Binnie, we love you too. What do you need to say?”
Here came the difficult words: “Next year is going to be busy. I won’t be home a lot.” He opened his eyes and searched your face for a reaction.
You opened your mouth to speak a couple of times but weren’t able to say anything. To be honest, you saw this coming. It did not make it any easier to accept what was being said between the lines.
Changbin felt guilty when you looked away, there was a smile on your lips that was unable to reach any other feature on your face.
“It’s only a year,” he tugged at your hand.
You blinked at that and took in a deep breath. “Is there another world tour?”
“Yeah, we’re so excited but
I wouldn’t be able to leave you with this little monkey and another one on the way.”
There it was. Your head snapped in his direction, unable to play fool and tiptoe around the topic any longer.
“I’m not saying I want one right now. You are busy, you’re tired. I just think we should plan it soon. I don’t want Hajoon to have a big age gap with her siblings.”
You leaned back on the sofa and put your head on his shoulder, watching your daughter sleep. Allowing Changbin’s warmth to comfort you from the disappointment of hearing him put your wish to have another baby on the waiting list.
Changbin let go of your hand and wrapped his arm around you. At least you were on the same page. “We can try for next year. With luck I won’t get completely outnumbered by girls.”
You bit back your laughter as you rested your hand on his stomach. “Oh, but you’re such a good girl dad!”
“It’s only easy because Hajoon is a mini-you. And a rockstar really
 more than me.”
You giggled.
“She is a mini-you, what are you talking about?” You caressed your little girl’s chubby cheek.
She has the same face shape as her dad, her cheeks round and pink, her lips small and heart shaped.
“Actually, maybe I want an army of mini-you’s
” he let his fingers run along your shoulder.
You rolled your eyes, “I can’t make any promises about gender, but I definitely want to have another one.”
Changbin agreed and kissed your hair, “I’m sorry it’s not what you wanted. I would love to do it right now, but I would feel like crap knocking you up and then leaving the country. I will be here with you when we do it again.” He pressed his cheek to the top of your head. “I promise.”
You tilted your head back and kissed his jaw, then his cheek and when he turned to you, you pressed a short kiss to his lips.
“I’m not mad. You don’t have to explain anything to me, I get it. And you’re right, this is the best way to do it. Together.”
“Since you like the idea, you could kiss me again, you know?” He proposed, bringing up the mood again.

(rie-lee joe-ons)
"Daddy", Tiana squealed as she ran to Oakley and jumped on him.
"Hey princess", he chuckled. "Where's mommy?"
"Over there", she said and pointed at me as he set her down.
He walked over to me and flashed a smile.
"Hey Riley."
"Oakley", I said as I placed some party bags on the table.
"Now why you acting like that?"
"You want me to jump up and down and act excited?", I said raising a brow at him.
"Preferably", he said making me laugh.
"Nigga you wish."
My mom walked over to us and greeted Oakley.
"Hey Oakley it's good to see you again", she said as she gave him a quick hug.
"Hey Mrs.Jones it's been a while."
"Every time I turn around he somewhere far off", I said and rolled my eyes. "I'm surprised he made it."
"Well I couldn't miss our daughters sixth birthday. That's unforgivable", he said and playfully poked out his bottom lip.
"How long you here for?", my mom asked.
"Rest of the month."
"Well make sure you come by my house before you leave this time", she said and patted his back.
"Yes ma'am."
Her phone started ringing.
"It's your dad, I'll be back", she said.
"Ok", I hummed.
"So how you been baby?", Oakley asked once she walked away.
"Baby is crazy", I chuckled as I walked over to the sweets table on the other side of the room. Oakley following behind me like a lost puppy.
"You want me to call you love, babe, or if you're feeling spicy señorita."
"Riley is just fine Oakley", I hummed as I fixed the cupcake tray.
"Stop calling me Oakley. It's too formal."
"Well what else do you want me to call you?", I sighed as I looked at him.
"Cench, Cee, baby", he said and wiggled his eyebrows.
"I didn't even call you Cench when we was together and I'm definitely not starting now. And the other two... uhnt uh. Imma stick with Oakley."
"You ain't have a problem calling me Cee and baby a few weeks ago", he said and pressed up against my back side.
"That was a spur of the moment thing", I said pushing him off me.
"I bet it was", he chuckled.
.✿.
"I saw y'all two over there", Lana said as I came and sat with them. "Y'all back together."
"No and we never will be", I said as I watched Tiana play with her friends.
"Mmhm, not with the way he was all up on you", Remi chuckled.
"Chile please, I can't stand Oakley", I said making them look at me.
"Now you know", Remi started.
"Both of y'all still want each other but y'all tryna deny the fact", Lana said.
"Like everyone around y'all can see it. Flirting and going on", Remi said. "I know y'all still be kissing and shit when nobody around."
"We kissed twice since we broke up."
"How many times y'all fucked though?", Lana asked making me playfully roll my eyes.
"That ain't y'all business", I chuckled making them laugh.
"That's what I thought. Y'all minus well stop acting delirious and get back together."
"Oh no ma'am. He aggravates my soul", I said and shook my head.
"Obviously he must not be that aggravating if y'all still fucking", Remi chuckled.
"He's aggravating to an extent."
"So he's aggravating when y'all just being causal and co-parenting. But he not aggravating when he's fucking you?"
"Exactly", I said making them laugh.
"You is a mess", Remi chuckled.
.✿.
"Can I go to daddy's house tonight?", Tiana asked running up to me.
"If daddy says yes then you can go baby", I said pushing some of her hair out her face.
"Daddy can I stay with you tonight?", she said turning to him standing beside me.
"Of course you can baby", Oakley said with a smile.
Tiana smiled before running back over to her friends.
"Mommy are you going to stay the night too?", Oakley asked getting behind me and wrapping his arms around me.
"Hell nah", I said and pried his arms off me.
"Why not?", he chuckled.
"Cause if I come over there imma hurt you cause you get on my nerves."
He laughed.
"Am I that bad?"
"The worst", I huffed sarcastically.
.✿.
I felt my phone vibrating beside me, making me groan.
I picked it up and saw it was Oakley. I rolled my eyes and declined it.
'If there's a problem he'll call my momma and she'll call me. I'm sleeping', I mumbled, getting comfortable again.
After a few minutes it rung again.
I sighed and just answered.
"You up?", Oakley asked after it connected.
I could see he had his side lamp on and could hear something playing in the background.
"There is literally no reason for you to be FaceTiming me right now", I groaned. "Where my daughter at? She ok?"
"Tiana's our daughter and she's asleep, she's good. So calm down sweetheart", he chuckled.
"Oakley it's four in the morning, the hell is you calling me for if Tiana not in need of something."
"I just wanted to talk to you Riley", he said making me roll my eyes.
"What you want?", I sighed.
"Come over", he said innocently.
I looked at him like he was crazy. Cause he is crazy.
"Oakley if you don't get off my phone playing."
"I miss you baby", he chuckled. "Come home."
"Take your horny ass to bed Oakley."
He scoffed playfully.
"I gotta be horny to call you and tell you I miss you? I just wanna talk."
"I know you ain't just tryna talk. You wanting some pussy and you ain't getting it. Good night Cee!", I said and blew him a kiss before hanging up.

.✿.
I knocked on Oakleys front door and looked around.
After a few minutes the door opened, revealing a shirtless Oakley.
I looked over his chest as I had a flashback from the last time I was here.
Oakley decreased the speed of his strokes and repositioned himself to thrust deeper inside me.
Each thrust caused a loud gasp to escape my throat.
I wrapped my legs around his waist, pulling his body closer to mine.
I gripped at his shirt, nearly ripping it, as he gave me slow deep strokes.
"Cee.. baby to- too deep", I cried out.
He rolled his hips smoothly as I continued to call out his name.
'Oh my god', I sighed to myself as I regained my composure.
"Where's Tiana?", I asked making eye contact with him.
"You're mom came and got her earlier to go shopping. They'll be back later", he said with a smirk.
"So you had me drive all the way out here to get her and she not even here", I said and he just stood there with that smirk on his face. "Ooh you make me sick."
"Since you're here", he started with a chuckle. "You wanna come in and wait?"
"No, I'll wait in my car", I said flashing him a feeble smile before turning around.
"Nonsense", he said grabbing my arm and pulling me inside.
He closed the door behind me and pushed me up against it.
"Stop acting like you don't want me", he mumbled as he pressed hisself against me.
"I'm not acting", I said and bit my lip. I looked over his face and down his chest before looking him in his eyes.
He put his head in the crook of my neck, gently kissing my sweet spot. I moaned quietly as I felt myself melting from his touch.
"Cee...fuck", I mumbled when he bit my neck softly.
He was making me wet and as I much as I want to hate it, I can't.
"I thought you didn't want to call me Cee", he said with a smirk after he pulled back.
"Shut up", I said before pulling him in for a rough kiss.
.✿.
"Just be my girlfriend again", he groaned as I traced over his tattoos.
"Oakley", I sighed.
"Riley we should stop playing games and be for real with ourselves."
I sighed as I laid my head on his chest and looked out the window.
I felt Oakley's fingertips lightly trace over the tattoo on my back, a faint smile spreading on my lips.
I can't lie. I missed moments like this.
He moved my hair out the way as he leaned down to place a kiss on the base of my neck.
"Please Riley?" He hummed and pressed another kiss into the crook of my neck. He stayed there as his thumb rubbed circles on my waist.
I pulled myself up and hummed as I shifted my body so I straddled his waist, "One more time."
Oakley looked at me with a small smile and an admiring look, caressing my waist, hips, and thighs, making me bite my lip.
I cupped his face and pulled him in for a kiss. He groaned as I slipped my tongue into his mouth.
Both his hands move down to my butt grabbing my cheeks gently. I moaned softly into his mouth.
He pulled back, grinning as he spread his fingers over the backs of my thighs.
.✿.
"Mommy", Tiana said running up to me.
"Hi baby. Did you have fun with grandma?", I said picking her up.
"Yes she got my nails painted", she said and showed me her nails.
"They're so cute baby", I cooed making her smile.
"Thank you mommy."
"You're welcome", I said before kissing her forehead.
"Hi princess", Oakley said as he tickled her chin.
"Hi daddy", she said between laughs.
"You wanna show mommy what I got for you're birthday?"
"Yes", she said smiling.
"Go get it."
"Ok."
I let her down and she ran off to her room.
"So what's this?", my mom asked turning to me and Oakley.
"What's what?", I asked raising a brow.
"I know y'all wasn't in here talking."
Oakley let out a hysterical laugh.
"I just got here", I lied.
"Sure", she chuckled. "We'll see if you just got here in a few months."
"What you mean by that?", I asked crossing my arms.
"Just know I love my granddaughter", she chuckled.
"Momma", I scolded playfully as I realized what she meant. "I am not having no more kids."
"We'll see about that", Oakley mumbled making me elbow him.
My mom just laughed.

Joey B Blurbs: With A Little Help From My Friends
Tumblr media
————————————————————————-
Summary: You and a few other WAGs do a prank on your boys by buying them all matching shirts for a get-together without them knowing.
Warnings: Fluff, unserious/funny, pranks
Pairing: Joe Burrow x reader
Imagine Universe: Into The Mystic
————————————————————————-
January 20, 2024 - *36 weeks pregnant*
“Joe, I have your outfit laid out on the island in the closet.” - you
Joe’s head snapped away from the TV and over in my direction. I'd just walked into the kitchen from getting ready upstairs. Joe sat on the couch watching The Office reruns, all cuddled up with Tyson and Miles - looking adorable.
“What? I can pick my outfit out.” - Joe
“I know, but I ordered you a new shirt that I'd like you to wear.” - you
“Oh, okay. What is it?” - Joe
“A flannel.” - you
“Mmm, okay.” - Joe
A few moments later, I sat down on the couch with my boys, but Joe left just a minute later to get ready himself.
Robin and Jimmy were coming in a bit to watch the twins while Joe and I went over to Sam’s for a get-together with some of his teammates.
The guys had no idea, though, that the WAG’s group chat had been super active the past week leading up to tonight.
A prank was to ensue, and it was that we'd all secretly ordered the same shirt for our men. We'd all show up one by one, and the guy’s reactions to matching would be hilarious.
Plus, Joe would look hot as hell in a flannel.
Half an Office episode later, Joe came bounding down the stairs. The greyish flannel looked amazing on him, giving off major dad vibes, paired with regular-fitting blue jeans that had been sitting untouched in the closet since I'd ordered them.
I let out a teasing whistle, Joe blushing at the cat-call.
“You like?” - Joe
“Yes. You look amazing, Joey. Do a little spin for me?” - you
Joe happily obliged before searching for approval in my facial expression.
“Love it. I need to start sneaking more of this style into your side of the closet.” - you
“Is that style ‘I have two kids and another on the way’?” - Joe
“Bingo. I told you, you're a DILF.” - you
“You love to remind me of that.” - Joe
“Because it's true.” - you grinned
——
There was a ring of the doorbell, and I went to stand up from the couch, but Joe ushered me to sit back down.
“Hey Mom, hey Dad. Thanks for watching the boys.” - Joe
“Oh, of course!” - Robin
Robin and Jimmy had barely made it into the house before they were ambushed by Tyson and Miles.
They happily hugged their grandbabies, and Jimmy picked up Miles in his arms.
“Where's your wife, Joseph Lee?” - Robin
“On the couch, she went to open the door, but I waved her off.” - Joe
Robin gave her son a proud nod, grateful that he was treating his pregnant wife as he should.
The five of them eventually walked back into the living room, and Joe plopped back onto the couch next to me, putting his arm around me on the back of the couch.
“You look great, y/n!” - Robin
“Aww, thank you. I'm feeling great as well. Baby girl is treating my bladder a lot better than the twins did.” - you laughed
“That's good! I love your dress, makes your bump pop.” - Robin grinned
“Joe actually picked it out.” - you
I put a hand on Joe’s chest and smiled up at him, a glint in his eye when he returned the soft grin.
“Wow, I would’ve never expected that.” - Robin
Laughing, I understood where she was coming from. My dress was a solid black, nothing like anything in Joe’s side of the closet.
“I picked his outfit out, though.” - you smiled
“That was my next question! That style looks good on you, Joey. You look very adult.” - Robin
“Thank you? I think.” - Joe
“It was meant to be a compliment. I think so, at least
” - Jimmy
A few seconds of laughter went by before Joe patted my thigh and spoke up.
“Ready to go, babe?” - Joe
“Sure!” - you
Joe stood up before turning around to me and putting a hand out to help me up.
Once I was on my feet, Joe let go of one of my hands but still held the other.
“We’ll be back later!” - Joe
He led me over to the garage door of the house and grabbed his keys to the Porsche off of the hook.
Sweetly, Joe walked me over to the passenger side of the car and opened my door for me, along with helping me sit down before shutting the door back.
“Whatcha wanna listen to?” - Joe
Joe always joked about my passenger princess ways, but here he was, offering me to pick the music before I even asked.
In the end, I pulled up my Spotify playlist “’60s-’70s Love Songs” and shuffled it.
Looking over at Joe as he backed out of the driveway, I giggled as he playfully rolled his eyes with a smile on his face at my music selection.
For dramatic effect, I grabbed onto Joe’s shoulder and sang Be My Baby by The Ronettes into my hand like I was holding a microphone.
“You're crazy.” - Joe laughed
“But you love me.” - you
“That I do, my baby.” - Joe
——
I had my arm looped with Joe’s as we stood on Sam’s front porch. Joe had just rung the doorbell and now we're waiting for an answer.
Squeezing his bicep lightly, Joe’s eyes darted to me.
“You okay, Mama?” - Joe
“Mhm. Just love you in this shirt.” - you grinned
Just a few seconds later, the front door swung open, revealing Sam.
“Hey, Burrow’s! Woah- what the hell? Joe, are we matching?” - Sam
I giggled to myself as Joe and Sam looked down at their flannels and then at each other.
“That's weird man, but I def wore it better.” - Joe
Sam rolled his eyes before stepping to the side to let Joe and me inside the house.
I immediately greeted Jess, who complimented my pregnancy glow, and while we were deep into conversation, the doorbell rang again.
When Sam opened the door, Jess and I exchanged knowing looks at each other.
On the front porch, Cody Ford and Evan McPherson were laughing about the fact they had matching shirts on while Tianna and Gracie stood to the side laughing.
“What the hell!” - Sam
“You guys have it too?!” - Evan
Joe was full-on cackling, and I couldn't help but mirror my husband.
The girls walked over and sat next to me and Jess, our boys all pointing at each other’s shirts while laughing.
Thirty minutes later, over ten more guys had shown up, all in the same flannel, and Joe and his guys found it hilarious each time.
The girls and I all sat in a corner of the living room, recording and laughing at the reactions coming out of the guys.
They really were adult toddlers, but that's what makes being married to one fun.
After dinner, Joe found me by myself in the kitchen and wrapped his arms around me from behind. At first, I couldn't tell who it was because all the guys here had the same long-sleeved shirt on, and all I could see were the person's arms.
The thought didn't last too long when I saw the wedding ring on the person’s finger that was too unique to be anyone other than Joe.
“Hi, Mama.” - Joe
“Hi, Joey.” - you
“Can I ask you a question?” - Joe
“Of course.” - you
With Joe’s hands on my bump, I covered them with my own and let my head fall back onto his chest/shoulder.
“Who wore the shirt best?” - Joe
“I'm kinda biased, but you, for sure.” - you
“Yeah?” - Joe
“Mhm, I'm gonna start sneaking more flannels into your closet.” - you
“I'll wear ‘em if they get a good reaction out of you.” - Joe
“Oh, you know they will.” - you giggled
I turned around in Joe’s arms and looked into his gorgeous blue eyes, my hands on his chest.
Slowly, Joe leaned in and pressed his lips onto mine.
A minute later, we were still kissing. The craving for each other was never satisfied, but we were interrupted by a loud, fake, gagging sound.
“For the love of god, she's already pregnant! You guys are disgusting!” - Ja’Marr
I leaned my head onto Joe’s chest with a giggle as he glared at one of his best friends.
“Ja’Marr, get the fuck away!” - Joe
Ja’Marr threw his arms up in surrender before walking out of the kitchen. Joe turned back to me with a sly grin on his face.
“Sorry, Mrs. Burrow. Where were we?” - Joe
I’d never get tired of him calling me that.
“Mmm, I think we might've been kissing.” - you
“Let's test that theory.” - Joe
Just as Joe was leaning in, our lips brushed together, but something made him pull back.
“Y'all nasty!” - Ja’Marry whisper yelled
“Ja’Marr!!” - Joe yelled
Sure, they got annoying sometimes, but deep down, Joe knew he wouldn't get by without a little help from his friends. Even if said help was unwanted.

“Okay,” you let out a sigh as you plopped down on the sofa beside your husband who was slipping his socks on. “That’s all three ready for school.”
“Really?” Chan looked down at his watch with an impressed look. “With 6 whole minutes to spare. That’s gotta be a record.” You rolled your eyes playfully at him.
Before you could bask in the glory of mastering your kids’ morning routine however, a shrill voice called your name from upstairs. “Mom, I can’t find my biology project.”
Chan sucked in a breath and shook his head. “Spoke too soon,” he teased. You playfully shoved him as you stood from the couch and headed towards the kitchen. You and Chan had spent the better part of last night helping your daughter Jia with a diorama for her biology class (read: you and Chan did all the work).
“It’s in the kitchen,” you called back as she came down the stairs. “Do you have everything else?”
“Yeah,” she replied, grabbing the project off the counter and rushing behind you to the fridge to grab a water bottle. “Oh, one of the gremlins said they need cash for something at school today though.”
“Honey,” you chastised. “Don’t call your siblings that, it’s not nice.” By the end of your warning, she was already in the living room asking her father for a ride to the mall after school.
“She called us what?” Minjun, one of the twins, asked as he entered the room with his jacket halfway on and his lunch box halfway unzipped. You rushed over to help him, letting out a sigh.
“Nothing,” you answered him before calling on your husband when you realized one of your kids had yet to make it downstairs. “Chan can you grab Minji? She’s still in her room.”
Chan quickly replied a quick “Sure,” before running up the stairs to grab the other twin. It wasn’t until you heard Minji squeal as he literally grabbed her and picked her up that you turned your attention back to Minjun.
“Jia said you and Minji needed money today?” You questioned him as you inspected him to make sure he didn’t forget anything else.
“Yeah,” he replied, ruffling his hair. “We have a class trip next week that we’re supposed to pay for.”
“A class trip?” you echoed back. “I didn’t know you had a class trip.”
Minjun shrugged his shoulders in response. “Minji and I told dad about it last week,” he explained.
You looked up at your husband coming down the stairs with your daughter riding on his shoulders. “Chan?” you questioned with your hands on your hips.
“Right,” he responded sheepishly. “I think I have the permission slips in my briefcase.” He set Minji down and quickly went to his study to find the slips. He returned and handed one piece of paper to each twin, only for Minji to groan.
“Ugh, dad,” she complained. “You gave me Minjun’s.” She and her brother swapped papers before stuffing them in their backpacks without a care and you cringed at the sight of their papers crumpling in the mess.
“Whoops,” Chan ran a hand through his hair. “Does everyone have everything?”
“Yes,” all three called in response.
“Alright, team,” he clapped and began with a cheery voice. “Happy Monday.”
It wasn’t until the kids were all dropped off that you and Chan were able to actually have a minute to yourselves. It was a rare day that you were both off from work and an even rarer day that the kids weren’t home. Although you very much loved your kids, it wasn’t hard to admit that it was nice to have a break from them every once in a while.
You and Chan had taken separate cars to drop the kids off so you could stop by the grocery store to pick up some things you were low on and by the time you finally made it back home, Chan was curled up on the couch watching a kids’ cartoon. You smiled at the sight of him clad in his old pajamas and with Minjun’s Spider-Man blanket only covering a small portion of his body.
“Hey,” he greeted you quietly before sitting up. Once he noticed the grocery bags in your hands, he stood up to grab them from you before heading into the kitchen to help you put the groceries away.
“How was drop-off?” he asked you as he put the produce in the fridge.
“It wasn’t too bad today,” you shrugged. “I got to the twins’ school before the typical traffic jam, so you know
a happy Monday indeed.” You smirked at Chan, feeling proud of your small win for the day. “What about you?”
Chan let out a sigh, now folding up the emptied grocery bag. “Jia made me drive at like half the speed limit,” he glared at you as you laughed at his misery. “She said that her diorama was precious cargo and then went on a tangent about how her whole future is on the line and blah, blah–”
You swatted him playfully. “Honey, I’m pretty sure it’s illegal for us as parents to blah blah our kids,” you joked.
Chan simply scoffed. “Show me where in the parent rulebook it says that,” he replied as you rolled your eyes. “I did what she asked, anyway. Took us almost 30 minutes to get to the drop-off area, but I did it, because I’m an amazing father.” He leaned back against the counter while you finished putting away the last box of cereal.
“You definitely are,” you agreed with just a hint of sarcasm in your voice as you walked back to the living room with your husband hot on your heels.
“Hey,” he stuttered, and without even turning to look at him, you knew his lips were pushed into a pout. “I am an amazing father.”
You laughed as you plopped down onto the sofa where he was earlier and took the small blanket for yourself. “I never said you weren’t,” you replied impishly. “But remember that time when you forgot Jia–”
Chan cut you off by sitting down next to you and poking your side, eliciting a squeal from you. “I didn’t forget her,” he corrected. “I was teaching her a lesson about being independent. I only made it to the parking lot before I remembered.” The last part came out mumbled and you let out a laugh.
“Well what about the time Minjun asked for ketchup on his fries and you accidentally put sriracha sauce on it instead?” Chan retorted.
“Hey,” you chided, poking him back on the side. “I was also teaching him a lesson.”
“Yeah?” Chan teased, grabbing your hands to stop you from retaliating. “What lesson were you teaching him? That sriracha is scary?”
“No,” you retorted. “That uh
that sometimes moms make mistakes.” You pouted at the end of your sentence and Chan chuckled before pulling you onto his lap.
“Aw, sweetheart,” he cooed and you buried your face into his neck. “At least it was a funny mistake.” You poked him in the rib one last time as he let out a pained chuckle. He tightened his hold around you and the two of you stayed quiet for a beat with only the sound of the cartoon playing in the background.
“Chan,” you called his name softly. “Do you think the kids are gonna be alright?”
He hummed thoughtfully before replying. “Of course,” he replied softly and with seriousness. “We’re good parents.”
“Even though I fed my 3 year old son sriracha?” you asked.
“Yes,” he answered. “And even though I almost forgot a 7 year old at the store.”
You laughed against his chest. “How do you know that?”
“Because they have parents who love them and will love them no matter what,” he pulled away from you to look into your eyes. “And even if we make mistakes along the way, we don’t stop trying to do better, and neither will they.”
“The kids are lucky to have you,” you replied before leaning up to meet Chan in a soft kiss. “And so am I.”

Sunghoon woke up with the feeling of his wife’s figure laying on his chest. You really looked angelic while sleeping.
He couldn’t help but to stroke your cheek and feel the softness of your lips. He wished to see this sight every morning for the rest of his life. That way, even if it was cloudy outside, he’d always wake up with his own brand of sunshine. He wrapped you in his arms and basked in your warmth. He vowed to never let you slip away from him.
He would do everything to tie you to him forever. And for that to happen, he needed to take action.
He gave you a tender kiss on the forehead before getting up to take a shower and prepare himself for the day. Upon leaving the room, he went straight to the garden where he suspected his father was.
“Dad,” He called. From his newspaper, her father glanced up at him.
“Good morning, son. Sit down. Do you need anything?” Sunghoon sat down in front of him.
“I’m thinking of taking my wife on a belated honeymoon trip.”
His forehead creased. “Where are you planning on going?”
“Japan. I also wanted to visit Grandma and Grandpa.” They had never been close to him, but they knew your family. “I’d be grateful if your secretary could arrange everything for me and my wife.”
He folded the newspaper and placed it on the table. “Why does this seem sudden? What about the farm? I’m getting old, Sunghoon. I can’t manage everything anymore.”
“We have good people here, Dad. They are all hardworking and trustworthy. My manager could take over, so I don’t think you have anything to worry about.” His father fell silent for a moment, deep in thought over what he had just said. “Alright, I understand. When are you going back home?”
Sunghoon shrugged. “I don’t know. As long as possible?” His father’s lips twitched and his eyes filled with profound curiosity.
“Why do I feel like you’re planning to live there? Is there a problem, Sunghoon?”
Yes, there is. Sunghoon laughed. “Nothing, Dad. Anyway, we can’t stay there for long. I just wanted a little vacation with my wife.” He leaned back and looked at his father intently.
“Fine. But make sure to call here often. I’ll get my secretary to arrange everything. I’ll also have him come here to get both your passports.”
“Okay, Dad. Thank you.” He said and stood up after bidding farewell. Sunghoon breathed a sigh of relief. His father agreed. And hopefully, everything would go as smoothly as this.
—
You’ve noticed that your husband has been exceptionally busy these past few days. You already knew he was hard working, workaholic, even. But it’s quite different these days as if he’s constantly chasing after something. Today, he left with his father because they said they had someone to talk to.
You glanced at the oven timer, signaling that the cream cheese garlic bread you made is cooked. Once you checked and saw that they were golden brown, you grabbed the mittens to take the baking tray out.
“Wow, that looks delicious, Y/n.” Aunt Chul said as she just entered the kitchen. You smiled at her.
“I won’t be modest, Auntie. It is really delicious.” You giggled, placing the tray on the table. She chuckled.
“Really? Let me have a taste then.”
“Sure! But let’s wait for it to cool down for a bit,” You said as you removed the mittens and took the tongs to carefully transfer the bread onto the basket lined with wax paper.
“Oh! I’ll make us something to drink, Dear. What would you like?”
“I’ll have some green tea, please.” You requested.
“Sure, just a moment.” She began boiling the water and fetched the cups while you were arranging the bread in the basket, making it look presentable. Shortly after, you and the woman enjoyed the bread and tea together.
“This is so good, Dear!” Aunt Chul happily commented after the first bite. You nodded in agreement.
“Yes, it really is. I wonder who made it?”
The woman chuckled lightly. “No joke, Dear. It really is delicious. The cream cheese garlic bread I’ve had before didn’t taste like this. Sunghoon is really lucky to have someone like you, Dear. I hope you know that.” You were speechless at her words.
“I remember, Sohyun and Sunghoon used to love eating you baked good back then. They were the ones tasting and critiquing your creations.” Your smile faded as you recalled the past.
“I felt that they grew tired of tasting my breads back then. Especially Sunghoon.” You whispered softly.
“Oh, Dear! I doubt that,” The woman said with a chuckle and shook he head. “Didn’t Sunghoon always insist on tasting even the burnt ones?”
Yes, you could vividly remember that. Every batch you baked, whether perfectly made or not, Sunghoon always tasted them. He would praise them if they were delicious and cheer you on to do better next time if they weren’t. He was always there for you, ready to make you smile and feel good. He was your everything backthen. While you couldn’t do anything for him. You sighed.
“Yes, he’s a good guy
” You said softly just above whisper.
“What was that, dear?” The elderly woman asked. You glanced at her and gave a small smile.
“Nothing, Auntie.”
She took another bite of the bread and savored it like a child. “This is really delicious, Dear. I’ll miss this when you’re in Japan.”
You paused mid-bite upon hearing her words. “What? Japan?” You asked, confused.
“Yes, Japan. Didn’t Sunghoon tell you? You’re leaving tomorrow to go to Japan. Your husband has already arranged for your things to be packed,” She explained. Your jaw might have dropped at Aunt Chul’s news. Japan? Leaving? Tomorrow? You had no idea of what she was talking about. You felt your phone vibrating in your pocket.
“Heeseung
” You murmured as you saw the registered number. Quickly excusing yourself from Aunt Chul, you hurried upstairs to your room to answer the call.
“Heeseung?”
“What’s this I hear about you and Sunghoon leaving?”
He asked sternly. You paced back and forth in the room, feeling like a cat about to give birth, anxious and unsettled.
“I don’t know! Aunt Chul just mentioned it to me just now. I had no idea. Sunghoon hasn’t said anything about us leaving.”
You stopped in your tracks and pulled at your hair, feeling frustrated. What was he thinking?
“He’s freaking insane! You need to come home now, Y/n. We need to talk about this,”
He insisted.
“But—”
“If you won’t come here, I’ll come there.”
He said sharply. You took a deep breath.
“Okay, I’ll be there in an hour.”
You quickly left the mansion, being careful not to be seen by anyone. You also didn’t ask the driver to take you to avoid anyone from knowing where you were going. Upon arriving at your house, Heeseung form immediately greeted you. His face was serious.
“Let’s talk inside.” He said, leading the way.
—
Sunghoon and his father was greeted by Aunt Chul once they entered the mansion. “Would you like to two like to have snacks or rest first?” She asked.
“I’ll rest for a bit. I’ll come down later for dinner,” Mr. Park replied, heading up to his room.
“And you, son?” The woman turned to him. Sunghoon smiled at her.
“I’ll go rest first, Auntie.”
“Is that so? Y/n baked cream cheese garlic bread,” She added making him chuckle at her obvious teasing.
“I’ll go see her first, Auntie,” He replied.
“Oh, yes. That’s right.” She quickly agreed. “Go on, she’s in your room. She went up there after we ate earlier.” She gently nudged him.
“Hurry up now.” He chuckled at the woman’s gesture. He was near the stairs when she called him.
“I’m glad you hear your laughter again, son.” She said sincerely. He smiled back at her.
“Me too, Auntie.”
He went up to their room. However. It was dark inside, and you weren’t there. The windows were open, and the curtains swayed gently with the breeze. He wondered and checked the bathroom as well, but you weren’t there either. He went downstairs to find Aunt Chul.
“Auntie, have you seen Y/n?” He asked. She furrowed her brow.
“Isn’t she in your room?” He shook his head. “No.”
“Well, I just came from the garden, she wasn’t there either. Did you check the study? Other rooms?”
“Not yet,” He sighed. “Wait, maybe she went to her brother? Your wife had someone calling her from her phone earlier.”
Your phone? He recalled Heeseung visiting the bakery. He felt knot in his stomach. The fear he felt when he woke up and found the woman was not by his side returned.
“I’ll be out for a while,” He said and rushed to his car, got in, and drove away.
—
“I have talked to a friend who’s willing to lend us the money we need. If you’re still worried about that bastard’s check, I’ll go top the bank tomorrow and—”
“It’s not that simple, Hee,” You whispered. You were both on the sofa in your living room, having a serious conversation. You felt a chill at what your brother wanted to happen.
“What do you mean?” You sighed and looked straight at him. “Do you think Sunghoon would just agree to that?” He wasn’t able to respond. “He wouldn’t, Heeseung.”
Heeseung ran his fingers through his hair in frustration and leaned back on the sofa. “Then I think it would be better if you took some time away from him,” He suggested.
You shook your head. “I think it would only make things worse if I did that.”
“Then what do you think would work?” You couldn’t answer. None of your plans had worked. Reconciling the father and son. Gradually avoiding your husband. None of it happened.
“Look, y/n. I just want you safe. I don’t want you to get hurt, that’s why I’m doing this,” He said, holding your hand. “I’ll face Sunghoon myself. I’m the reason for all of this.”
You gave him a sad smile. “Liar.” He paused. “We both know who’s really at fault for all of this.”
He tightened his grip on your hand.“Y/n, I don’t want you thinking like that.”
You sighed. “Let me handle this, Hee. Let me leaver with Sunghoon to Japan, and there I’ll figure some things out.”
His eyes narrowed and he let go of your hand. “Are you seriously telling me that you’re really going with him?”
You looked down. “Honestly, I’m still hesitant about it. I’ll try to convince him later not to leave. But if he insists, maybe it’s better if I go with him for now.” You pleaded with him to understand. “I just can’t leave him.”
He stood up abruptly, clenching his fists.
“No.” It was a firm command. “You stay out of this. I’ll confront that piece of shit right now, and I’ll resolve this mess with him.”
“I’m here, Heeseung,” You and your brother almost simultaneously turned towards a cold and low voice. You gaped as you saw Sunghoon there.
He looked at you. “We’re going home, Y/n.” He was about to reach out to you but your brother’s large figure blocked his way as he stood up.
“Over my dead body.” You grabbed his arm.
“Hee, don’t start.”
“He was the one who started all of this!” Heeseung exclaimed. “And for what? Revenge? Only children would think of—” You gasped as Sunghoon lunged forward and delivered a punch at your brother’s face.
Heeseung slumped to the floor due to the impact. Your eyes widen as you saw Heeseung’s lip split open. You rushed to him and hurriedly wiped the blood from the corner of his lips. He stood up, his eyes glaring with retaliation for the punch he received from Sunghoon.
“Stop it!” You shouted, trying to intervene to break them up. When they didn’t budge, you raised your voice louder. “Enough!”
That seemed to snap them out of it, reminding them of your presence. Both men were panting heavily, and you could feel the tension thick in the air around them. You faced your brother. “We’re leaving. I’m going with him.”
He grabbed your arm. “No!”
“Please,” Your voice trembled in plea. Reluctantly, he let go and gave Sunghoon a sharp look. You called a helper and instructed them to bring a first aid kit. “Treat your wounds, Hee. Take care.” You hugged him.
You felt your husband tug on you. “Let’s go,” He whispered. He guided you out of the house towards his car. Heeseung didn’t follow, which you were thankful for. Upon reaching the car, Sunghoon spoke.
“Don’t try to run away from me like that.” He looked at you intently. He seemed to claim all the good looks in the world because even in dim light, he still looked godly
whit a bruised lip. You reached for his face.
“You have a bruise. Let’s hurry home so we can treat that,” You said.
He grasped your hand. “Answer me. Tell me you won’t run away from me.” His intense gaze made you feel like you were burning. You nodded slightly in response.
“Say it, damn it!”
“Sunghoon, I...” He held both sides of your face and gently forced you to meet his eyes.
“Is it really that hard? To be tied to me? To stay with me and remain by my side?” Your lips parted as you saw the desperation on Sunghoon’s face, as if his life depended on you staying.
“I promise I won’t hurt you. I won’t. I can’t”
“But you’re hurting my brother. And because of that, you’re also hurting me.” You don’t have the right to complain. You deserved the pain. But your brother?
He let go and sniffed the air. “Okay. You want me to stop hating on your brother? I can do that. I’ll do it for you.” He looked at you with a longing look. “You also said I should forgive my father? Fine, I’ll do that too.” You couldn’t speak. What was he trying to do to you? He reached out and held your palm, then clasped your hands.
“If I do all that, will you stay by my side? Will you promise not to leave me? Will you stay with me forever?”
“I realized that I was blinded by anger. Sohyun wouldn’t want me to blame the man she loved forever.” Joy enveloped your heart. It felt so good to hear your husband’s words. You never expected that he would be willing to do everything just to keep you by his side. That he’s finally ready to set his anger aside. But there’s one thing he didn’t know. And Sunghoon would hate you more if you keep it hidden from him much longer. You should have confessed earlier.
How will he believe you now? Even if you tell him that you love him

Your eyes stung with tears. You shook your head. “No
 You don’t understand.”
Sunghoon lifted your face with a finger, wiping your tear that traced a path down your cheek. “What do I not understand?” He asked, his voice soft yet urgent. “What is it, Y/n?”
You could only shake your head, your tears falling relentlessly. Sunghoon enveloped you in a warm embrace, offering you solace in the cold, dark night.
“Please, Y/n,” He murmured, his voice trembling with emotions. “Just promise me that you won’t run away. That we’ll always be together. That’s all I want to hear. Please.”
You continued to sob into his chest. Truth be told, you wanted the same thing—to be together forever, to be happy in each other’s arms. But that was impossible. It was never going to happen. You sniffled and gathered all your courage. Gently, you pushed him away from you. You shut your eyes tightly before looking straight into his eyes.
“It wasn’t my brother’s fault that Sohyun died. It was mine.” Your throat ached, and the words seemed to resist coming out. “It was only right that I pay for what I did. So it’s not fair that you blamed Heeseung for what happened
”
You saw Sunghoon’s expression change. “What are you talking about, y/n?” This isn’t your fault.”
You stood firm You knew you had to stick to the truth, no matter how painful. “It was all my idea. It was my decision that led to Sohyun’s death. I can’t let Heeseung suffer for something he didn’t do.”
A mixed of shock and confusion crossed Sunghoon’s face. “It wasn’t Heeseung’s fault that your sister is no longer with us. It was my fault. The anniversary surprise, the candle lit dinner—” You gulped, and tears streamed down your cheeks again. “Those were all my idea.” You roughly wiped away the tears, but no matter what you did, they kept falling.
“If I hadn’t suggested all that, Sohyun would still be here. You wouldn’t be left alone. Everything would be okay.” Your chest tightened as you confessed everything to him. “Sunghoon
 I
 I’m sorry. I’m really sorry.”
You could barely breathe from crying, and through it all, Sunghoon just stood there in front of you. This must be it. He must be hating you now and cursing you to death. You wouldn’t be surprised if he suddenly told you to rot in hell. You turned away to head back to your house. You had your answers. You didn’t need to leave because Sunghoon wouldn’t want you anywhere with him anymore.
You calmed yourself and dried the tears to see your way, but a tight hug from behind stopped you in your tracks. The embrace was so firm, you could barely breathe. You cried even harder. Sunghoon turned you around and you buried your face in his chest.
‘I’m so sorry. I never thought it would all end in an accident.”
He comforted you. “Heeseung’s surprise for my sister was your idea. That’s all it was. You and Heeseung didn’t mean her any harm. Both of you just wanted to make her happy.” You pulled away slightly and looked up at him. There wasn’t a trace of hatred on his face.
“Aren’t you going to yell at me? Sohyun died because of me.” At that, you started crying again. He sighed and tried to calm you down.
“Weren’t you listening? To be honest, ever since you came back to in to my life, my anger had gradually disappeared. I think I used what happened as an excuse to keep you by my side. I could never hate you.”
“But—” He silenced you with a kiss.
“I’m sure my sister is happy up there. I know that because I felt like she’s watching over me from there. Sohyun never wanted me to live a miserable life.” He gently stroked your hair.
“She once told me that I should stop shutting myself from the world. And when she died, it felt like my anger was the only thing keeping me alive. Until I saw you again. You were so bright that I wanted to put everything behind me. And I remembered that my sister told me I always needed to stay in the light.” He carefully caressed your cheek. After a very long time, you saw the man you loved once again.
“And you are my light, Y/n. you’re my very own brand of sunshine. The moment I saw you again, I felt alive. You complete the happy days I once had.”
If this was a dream, you wished to be a princess who had slept for a long time. And if possible, you hoped never to wake up. If this was real, why did it seem so unbelievable? You had expected a mad beast with eyes full of hate, not a handsome prince with eyes filled with love.
Oh God. Is this real?
“Yes, Y/n. This is real.” You hadn’t realized that you voiced your question out.
“But, Sunghoon. I know how much Sohyun’s death affected you. I don’t want you to hide that from me just because you promised not to hurt me. Whatever makes you feel better—”
“It’s true that my sister’s death nearly killed me. But you
” He paused, searching for the right words.
“The thought of another person I love frightened the hell out of me. If I lose you, I know I won’t be able survive.”
You embraced him tightly. “I won’t leave you.”
“Do you really accept me as your husband, Y/n? Are you ready to be with me for always? Will you love me too?” He looked deep into your eyes.
You wanted to say yes. You wanted to tell him that you already loved him. That you have loved him for a long time. Your gaze shifted towards your house, where you saw your brother watching the both of you. He nodded, as if giving you the encouragement to do what you truly wanted. Slowly, a smile spread across your face. You looked up to Sunghoon, who was gazing at you with complete love. Tears pooled in your eyes again, but this time, they were tears of joy.
“I love you, Park Sunghoon.” You finally managed to say. “I’ve always loved you. Even when our paths separated, that love never faded. I still love you.” Sunghoon let put a breath, his eyes closing briefly.
He hugged you tight and kissed the top of your head. “Thank you. Thank you for loving me.”
You returned the warm embrace to your husband. “I still feel guilty about Sohyun,” you sighed.
“Stop it,” He scolded you gently. “She loves us, and I know she wants us to be happy. There’s nothing to worry about now, baby.” Right. Sohyun had been a kind and loving sister top Sunghoon. She treated you like a sibling too. She genuinely loved your brother. She wouldn’t want anyone of you to be sad.
Under the moonlight, you promised to love the man you promised to be with for a lifetime with all your heart. You would give him the light he needed and all the love you could offer. You would be together for an eternity. And it would start now.
“I love you so much. Y/n.” You heard him whisper. You tightened your hug on Sunghoon even more.
“I love you.”
Tumblr media
It was supposed to be rainy afternoon according to the weather report last night. But the weather seemed to be cooperating with them because not a single dark cloud marred the sky. You wondered how it would feel to live in a world where there was no sadness and pain; where only the warmth of love and happiness enveloped you.
Then you realized that in this world, one need all those sufferings to appreciate the beauty of life. You should face your fears and endure trials to become a better person. You smiled as you looked back and saw your husband leaning against the tree where you were taking shelter.
Sunghoon is a great example of someone consumed by darkness, yet learning to return to the colorful world. Well, all of you went through some tough times, but you believed it was Sunghoon who suffered the most. You approached him, locking eyes. You sucked in your breath. He still looked dark and powerful, but that was just because of his striking physical appearance. The dark aura that used to surround him was gone.
“We need to get going, you know?” You reminded with a smile.
He held your waist and pulled you closer to him. “I know, baby. I was just doing some reminiscing.”
“Like when you tripped here while we were chasing after Sohyun and Heeseung?” you teased him. The corners of his lips lifted in to a smile.
“Very funny.” You grinned and planted a quick kiss on his lips.
“So
Shall we go to Sohyun’s grave?” Before, his expression darkened whenever he remembered his sister, not it didn’t. He maintained a light demeanor. It was Sohyun’s death anniversary, and you planned to visit with your brother, Heeseung. The feud between the two men had been resolved.
“Yeah, I think we should go now. I want to catch Heeseung being dramatic.”
You wrinkled your nose. “How mean.” Sunghoon just grinned and kissed you quickly on the lips. You both started walking towards his car.
“You know what? My visits to my sister will be different now,” He said.
“What do you mean?”
“Before, whenever I would visit her, I always said I would seek revenge on those responsible for her loss.” He tightened his grip on your hand. “But today would be different because you’re with me, and Heeseung and I are okay. I used to visit her with a heavy heart, but this time, I would face her with a smile.”
“And she must be smiling back at you,” You said happily.
“I know.” Sunghoon stopped walking and looked at you with lovingly.
“Thank you. Thank you for being my light, y/n.” You were momentarily taken aback but quickly returned the smile to your lips.
“I always got you. I love you.”
“I love you, too.”

A Visitor
Someone from Simon's past comes knocking.
Word count: 1,480
Characters: Simon "Ghost" Riley, fem!reader (no use of y/n)
CW: Mentions of past abuse/DV
A/N: This is technically canon divergent since Simon's dad is presumed dead. Also I could have sworn his name was Lee in the comic but when I went back to check I couldn't find it, so it'll do.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The knock at the door came at perhaps the worst possible time. Simon had dozed off watching rugby with the baby snoozing on his chest, one of his large hands plenty big enough to support her. The man was a notoriously light sleeper, and always vigilant, so it was nice to see him relaxed enough to doze off.
You hurried to the door, hoping against hope the knock didn’t wake the two sleeping beauties. You hadn’t been expecting company, so your secondary hope was that it wasn’t someone who wanted to linger. Upon opening the door, though, you froze, perplexed. Standing before you was someone you’d never seen before.
The man was old, but how old it was hard to say. His clothes were worse-for-wear and he looked like he hadn’t showered in days. The wrinkles in his face betrayed a permanent smirk. He was rough around the edges, not just in appearance but in the way he carried himself. You had half a mind to ask if he was there asking for charity, but the words stuck in your throat. Something about this man made the hairs on the back of your neck stand on end.
“Can I help you?”
“Dame of the house, I presume?” The words were polite enough on their face, but something about the way he said them grated, as did the way his eyes raked over you as he said them.
“Yes. Can I help you?” you repeated, hoping to speed this interaction along.
“Name’s Lee Riley, here to see my son.”
The name wasn’t familiar, except for the surname. Dumbly, you blinked at the man for a few seconds before realization struck.
Oh.
Oh no.
Simon had inherited his mother’s warm brown eyes, but looking closely you were able to see traces of him in the man’s stature and bone structure. Standing before you wasn’t just any random person, but a monster you had heard about only in stories. You felt sick looking at that smirking face, knowing it was the same face Simon had to look at as a boy facing relentless abuse and terror.
Instinctively, you squeezed the door shut just a bit tighter, as if to barricade yourself in the house and keep him out. The two people you loved most in the world were inside, blissfully unaware of the piece of shit on your doorstep, and you intended to keep it that way.
“Get off my porch and never come back here.” You willed your voice not to betray how uneasy you felt. The man barked a snarling laugh.
“Ha! Mouthy bird my son went and found himself. Just like his old man.”
“He’s nothing like you,” you spat, your voice struggling not to rise alongside your temper. “And there’s nothing for you here, so get -”
A hand on your shoulder stopped you in your tracks. Simon stood behind you, the gurgling baby in his other arm. His eyes were fixed over your shoulder on his father, expression unreadable.
“Take her and go upstairs.” His tone was gentle, not a reproach but a warning to get far away from whatever was about to happen. You hesitated only a moment, silently praying for some way to save Simon from this confrontation. He spent so much of his life fighting against his father, against the beatings and the fear and the expectations that he’d grow up to be just like him. You were desperate, in that moment, to spare him one more fight. But one glance between the two men, at the stare-down they were having, made your shoulders sag in defeat. This was something that had to happen, and you and the baby being in the crossfire would only make it worse.
You lifted your daughter into your arms and made your way upstairs to the nursery. Once safely inside, surrounded by soft pink toys and blankets and baby books, you wanted to cry. Simon never got the opportunity to be soft, never got the tenderness he showed you and your baby. Getting out some blocks to let the baby play, you couldn’t help but wonder what was going on downstairs on the porch.
What you couldn’t see, what no one could see or hear, was the war that was going on inside Simon’s head as he took in the sight before him. The shriveled old man before him had once loomed so tall it seemed impossible to ever escape him. Now, half-bent and coming up to his son’s collarbone, it was almost laughable. This was the tyrant who robbed him and his brother of their childhoods; this was the coward who had beaten his sweet, joyful mother down into a zombie. He had seen her just now in your defensive posture, and something in him had gone scarily quiet. Ready. Eager, even.
He had done it once; bullied the bully and forcibly removed his father from the home, and he was all too ready to do it again. He was ready, in that moment, to do whatever it took to be the wall between this evil on his doorstep and the family he had built, that which he cherished above all else. The nerve of this piece of shit, the gall to show up out of the blue like this and contaminate the doorstep had Simon’s anger rising in a persistent wave.
“Why are you here?” His tone didn’t betray the storm of emotions roiling under his skin; he’d had that trained out of him long ago. He didn’t much care what the answer was. What he was really thinking was Say something. Try something. I dare you. I want you to. Let’s finish this.
“Can’t an old, sentimental man visit his son? The manners of your generation!” The man’s taunting expression and jeering tone were almost enough to get his face flattened into the ground. Almost.
“I’m no son of yours - you said that yourself. Now I suggest you take my wife’s advice and go back to whatever hole you crawled out of.”
“Wife! Atta boy,” the man cackled, barreling on and completely ignoring him. “And a tyke too. Taking after the old man after all, are we?”
Simon’s knuckles flexed. You were right when you said he was nothing like the man standing before him; he had worked hard to be sure of it. Every therapy session, every time he communicated with you when he was upset, every time he cooled off before arguing, every time he looked at his infant daughter and vowed silently to the universe to only ever show her safety and love, he was making sure of it. Every time he used his strength and brutality - perhaps the only gifts his father ever gave him - for the good and safety of the world and made the decision not to bring it home with him he was making sure of it. Every time he used his pay to pay bills and take care of the house instead of spending it at the pub, he was making sure of it. Every time he nurtured the friendships and brotherhood he had with his teammates, he was making sure of it. Everything he was as a man, as a husband, as a father, was in spite of his upbringing, not because of it. And he would be damned if this man would take credit for any of it.
It was on the tip of his tongue, this acidic rebuttal, when realization struck: he’d won. He’d grown into a man he was proud to be, a man who embodied everything his father had tried to beat out of him. He’d created a home where he and his loved ones felt safe, he’d found a good-hearted woman and built her up rather than draining the life from her, and now she was a great mother to his daughter. His beautiful little daughter who would never know the fear, the hunger, and the confusion that had marked his earliest years.
The realization was shocking and humbling, and he blinked, taking in the scene before him with seemingly new eyes. The dirty, snarling man before him was nothing. Not a challenge, not a threat, nothing more than a nuisance. Not worth the air it would take to explain why he was wrong, and certainly not worth putting his hands on and causing a scene.
Simon let out a long breath, and with it, decades’ worth of something to prove. The man before him wouldn’t hear it, and couldn’t understand it, and that was okay. Because Simon understood it, and you understood it, and one day your daughter would understand too. He could see his future stretching out before him, and there simply was no room for the mean little man on his porch.
“If you ever come back here, you’ll regret it.” He said, finally.
And then he closed the door.

Leon would definitely match with his little girl daily if it was possible. :3
His little princess is wearing a pretty light blue dress? Now he has to wear a light blue shirt. She’s wearing a pink gingham dress? He’s got the perfect pink button up for that.
They’d wear silly matching shirts aswell like those stupid ‘Her daddy’ and ‘His girl’ shirts, or the ‘Original’ and ‘Carbon copy’ one’s. The day she finally grows up and tells him she doesn’t wanna match anymore because it’s ’embarrassing’ is the day his world shatters.
He’d come crying to you at the realization his baby girl is growing up, especially when she goes from saying ‘daddy’ to ‘dad’. :(
- Anon! 🎀
MATCHING OUTFITS I CAN'T 😭
Tumblr media
These shirts... Perfect!
But like imagine Leon's just freaking out cause he feels like he's losing her little girl. He'd be fucking devastated...
You two are laying in bed after putting your baby girl to bed. Leon laying on his side, head in your lap as you calm him down. Whipping his tears away.
"Honey, did really you think she'd want to wear the outfits forever?" Leon turns on his back, he stares up at you with red glassy eyes and a nose to match. You brush his hair back trying desperately to keep your giggles at bay from what seems like such an over reaction.
"She's my baby... Our only baby! When I picked her up from school today, she called me Dad. DAD!" He rubs his forehead with a sniffle, you brush his cheek with your thumb, a small smile pulling at your lips as he leans into your hand.
"It was bound to happen." He glares up at you, crossing his arms like a petulant child. Soon his expression turns to a pout as he huffs.
"Easy for you to say, she still calls you Mommy," he takes in a deep breath, pondering a thought as you roll your eyes, "can we have another baby?"
"Lee..." He sits up looking back at you, hair slightly messy from your fingers playing with it.
"C'mon! It be nice to have another baby. Plus it was so beautiful watching you waddle around in your little dresses while you glowed like the God damn sun... I miss it." Your nose wrinkles as he turns towards you, pulling you into his chest. Looking into your eyes with that puppy dog stare.
"Don't give me that look. I'm not getting pregnant again just to give you your best friend back..."
"What if I got her a puppy?" Your head cranes back, looking at the ceiling with a deep sigh.
"Are you suggesting you'd bribe a 6 year old to love you?" Leon freezes for a minute, looking down at the sheets, getting abnormally quiet even for him.
"...yes."
"Oh my God, you're the most dramatic man I've ever met in my life..."

Pairing : dad!Lee Minho x F!Reader TW : childbirth ; slighty suggestive humor once ; it's just fluffy ; it's cute ; Word Count : 1.9k Request : Anonny : okay but i really like that minho pregnancy angst
. do you plan on making part 2 like the after reunited life, her parents’ response or anything? like the post natal life, the moment he held his daughter for the very first time hihi is it too much to ask??? A/N : I absolutely DO plan on making a part two and here it is!! Woohoo!!! Thank you for requesting! It's definitely not too much to ask! Also! I got so choked up writing this, it made me so happy and at the same time so sad that I don't have a man like the fictional Minho in this story!!!
“I’ll be right back, love. I’m just gonna call the guys and let them know she’s here so they won’t make my phone go off all night.” He whispered as softly as possible, not wanting to wake his daughter that he had just laid in the little cot beside your hospital bed. You hummed tiredly in response, already nestling into the pillow that definitely wasn’t as soft as the ones you had at home, but right now, after 12 hours of active labor and a slightly wonky epidural, the entire hospital bed was like laying on a cloud.
Minho couldn’t be prouder though, seeing you go through all of that, he commended every woman who had ever been in labor, and after checking the time and seeing how early in the morning it was, he made a mental reminder to call his mother and thank her for having him.
Stepping outside of the room, he leaned against the wall and took a deep breath, his throat still slightly sore from crying when he had first laid eyes on his daughter, tears of happiness streaming down his face, unable to pull his eyes away from her as the doctors carried her over to the little table to clean her up. He was grateful that he had been given a second chance, that he got to hold your hand through the entire process, that he was able to be in the room when his daughter was brought into the world, and he swore that he wouldn’t mess up and he sure as hell would never leave again.
“Minho
” His name had him finally looking around the hall, meeting eyes with your father and your mother who sat in the waiting chairs beside your door. He hadn’t seen your father since the day he had pushed the door shut against him, and while he had been meaning to meet up with your parents to apologize for the way he had been, he had just never gotten around to it. “How is our daughter and our granddaughter? Are they resting?”
Minho quickly bowed his head to your parents, acknowledging them with a quiet “Sir
” and “Ma’am”, the awkwardness felt between the two hung in the air like a thick cloud that could be felt by everyone in the vicinity. “They’re both doing great
Y/N is getting some rest right now, yes, and the baby is sleeping.” He kept his head lowered, slightly fearful of looking your dad in the eyes. “I’d like to apologize
For the way that I behaved
For hurting Y/N. I love her so much
And our daughter will take top priority over everything else.”
He finally raised his head, and when he did, he saw your father staring at him, it almost felt like he was being judged, but your mother shook her head, standing from her chair to embrace Minho in a quick hug. “Now, don’t you pay attention to him right now. He’s just grumpy because it’s past his bedtime.” She teased, and it was strange how your mothers presence and her words, much like your own, could so easily calm him down and make him feel relaxed. “I’m happy that Y/N has you, and that our granddaughter has you as her father. I know that you’ll take great care of them both. Welcome to the family.”
///
“Are you just gonna carry her around all the time?” You asked lightly as you watched Minho walk by, your daughter seemed to be in a perpetual state of being carried by him in the little sling that was across his chest. “It’s been three weeks and the only time you put her down is when you use the bathroom or when you go to bed. You’re gonna spoil her.” You warned, but you also wanted to hold your daughter as well. Hell, you even had to practically race to the nursery to be the one to get her in the middle of the night since that was the only time you actually got to hold her since being in the hospital.
“And? Our princess deserves to be spoiled, doesn’t she?” He flashed you your favorite smile before pressing a kiss to the top of her head. “Plus I go back to work next week, let me just love her a bit longer. I won’t be able to see her as much.” He was right, and you knew that he was dreading when this week was up, that’s why he stayed up so late, as if the longer he was awake it would keep the coming days at bay.
You couldn’t blame him though, you’d do the same thing. Neither of you could fully wrap your head around how fast time had gone, you couldn’t believe that it had already been three weeks since you had given birth to her. You could see it in his eyes, with each passing day he’d get sadder and sadder, and you felt the same way. The house wouldn’t be the same without him in it, and you actually grew used to the sight of him walking around the house, doing his daily activities with your daughter strapped to his chest.
“Well it’s almost her feeding time, can you at least let me hold her for fifteen minutes or so?” You posed, sitting up a little more on the couch and grabbing the little burp cloth off the side to drape over your shoulder as you got ready to have her in your arms.
“Just whip your boob out and come over here. Or I’ll bring her to your boob.” He said with a snort, and you rolled your eyes as your head fell back against the couch. “Don’t be so shy, love. I was suckin’ on ‘em before she came.” He teased, and maybe it was the fact that you were now a mom that had you growing extremely embarrassed at the mention of your sex life, but you quickly shushed him as your hands moved to cover your face which only had him laughing even more. “I’m like 99.9% sure she doesn’t know what I’m talking about. But, I’ll cover her ears if it makes you feel better.”
“Oh my gosh, shut up, Minho.” You groaned, but you couldn’t hide the fact that you were laughing as well, and the more you thought about how it would be after the week was up, the more you started to miss him already, and he hadn’t even gone back to work yet.
///
Pink balloons were tied to every single chair that was set up in the backyard. The buffet table was lined with snacks and drinks for everyone that was there, although you didn’t really anticipate so many people to show up. The grill was fired up already and Bangchan and Felix had begun making the main course for the party while everyone else kind of took turns helping you decorate and ogling at your daughter.
“Have you seen Minho?” You asked Jisung as he stepped out of the house, multiple beer cans held in both his hands and under his arms as he walked over to you. Your eyes had scanned over everyone that had filled your backyard multiple times and none of those times had your eyes landed on your husband in the crowd.
“When I came outside he was sitting on the couch. I think he was crying a bit
” Jisung said, his lips drawing together in a thin line after he had answered. This wasn’t the first time he had done it, and according to the guys, the entire week leading up to today he’d disappear during work and one of them would usually find him hiding somewhere and crying by himself.
“Right
Can you and the boys help finish setting everything up. I’m almost done
I just don’t want to leave him by himself.” Jisung nodded and you quickly scooped your daughter up, holding her on your hip as you walked into the house, and there he was. His head was lowered and you could hear the sniffles coming from where he sat. As you moved closer you could see the photo album of your daughter's first year sitting on his lap, his hands shakily flipping through the pages one by one. “Honey
” You murmured, and his head slowly raised to look at you, his eyes puffy and slightly red when they met yours.
“Sorry
” He muttered, and you shook your head at his apology, coming closer to sit on the couch beside him, your daughter propped on your lap. His finger slipped into her hand, her own tiny fingers wrapping around it as she waved his hand around, babbling loudly as she looked up at him. “When did she get so big?” He questioned with a small gasp, his head tilted as he watched her with a bittersweet smile.
You sighed softly, the sudden urge to cry taking hold of you as you looked at him. “She’s not that big yet
 She’s still our baby
” You mused, trying your best to not only make him feel better, but to keep yourself from crying along with him. You glanced over at the book on his lap, scanning over the pictures on the page. “Oh, I remember that
”
His eyes followed yours and he chuckled, although it sounded more sad than usual. “Our tour in Australia and
I refused to be away from you two for a whole month
So me and the guys at the last minute begged the managers to let you both go.” Most of the pictures were of the other members holding her and in most of them she looked like she was on the verge of crying. “She was only 6 months old
It’s only been 6 months since then
” His fingers brushed over the picture of himself holding her, his smile so wide as he sat on the beach with her, his tears freely falling down his cheeks as the memory played over in his mind.
“And we have so many more months, so many years to keep making more memories with her
” You whispered, using one of your free hands to wipe the tears from his cheeks. “Like today
She only gets a first birthday once, honey. I’m sure that when she looks back at her photos, she’ll want you to be in the pictures too.”
He took a deep shaky breath, nodding his head before running his hands over his face. “Right
 You’re right
” He slowly closed the book, placing it on the coffee table before grabbing your daughter off your lap and lifting her high in the air before bringing her back down and hugging her tight against his chest, eliciting a loud squeal mixed with laughter from her. “My princess is ready to party and so am I, let’s go!”
His hand held onto hers as he playfully danced his way out to the backyard, the cheers from everyone at his and your daughters appearance were loud enough to be heard in the living room where you still sat, your eyes glued to the back of your husband as he practically skipped down the stairs, innocently dodging everyone who came towards him with their arms outstretched to take the baby.
Minho was the perfect man, the perfect husband, the perfect father. There was no one else in the world that you could imagine loving you or your daughter the way he did, there was no one else in the entire universe who was everything a man should be, everything anyone would want their man to be
Minho was the most amazing, loving, devoted husband and father, and you were beyond grateful that he had come back into your life, that you had gotten a second chance with him, and more than anything, that your daughter was able to live a life with him as her father.

DID I JUST HEAR BEST DAD IN THE WHOLE WIDE WORLD
This man was born to be a dad istg
He'd be so amazing when you're pregnant, like he'd ask his mom for advice, give you belly rubs if your ask and will willingly lend his entire closet to you.
Would be so supportive through the birth process, is not disgusted or anything because he is him.
"She looks just like you."
Would be just a teensy bit overprotective, just a teensy bit.
"And you will bring her back by 7 yes? Oh and what's your address for unrelated purposes?"
*sends the address to Minho incase he needs to murder anyone*
Would be so comforting when she gets her period
"you know I used to do this to your mother.", While massaging her back.
The baby would grow up multilingual and Chan would be so smug about it
"my daughter is my second producer
Lee Minho/Lee Know
Would have such mixed emotions when you tell him you're pregnant
On the one hand A PERSON MADE UP OF BOTH OF YOU? WOAH
On the other hand OH SHIT A PERSON WHO HAS BOTH OUR GENES
Cooks all your weird ass cravings for you but not before giving you a side eye
"Alright y'all are gonna get a sibling." *Is talking to the cats*
Buys everything cat themed
"baby what if the baby is a dog person?"
Y'all have twins, a boy and a girl (manifesting my twin dad Minho fantasies)
Would dance for them when they're babies and would get elated when they try to copy him
Pouts when their first word is mama
Brags so much about them
"I mean they are MY spawn, obviously they're better at dance than your kid, Susan"
Seo Changbin
GIRL DAD GIRL DAD GIRL DAD
So elated when you tell him you're pregnant
PREGNANT CUDDLES KZKSNSNJ

"I CAN'T HANDLE ANOTHER PAIR OF ADORABLE YN EYES LOOKING AT ME"
Holds the baby extra carefully in his buff ass arms
She looks like you part 2
Tea parties with her are serious buisness for him
"jagi can't you see im currently discussing with the princess about her magical dragon I'll do the dishes later."
Would probably ask her if she wants to go to the gym with her dad and when she says yes he'd be so happy
"you're better than your mother she can't even lift her ass up and go to the gym"
Hwang Hyunjin
When I say this man would paint you a portrait when you tell him you're pregnant-
HE'LL PAINT YOU A FUCKING PORTRAIT
So sweet with you all throughout but also a nervous wreck
Much like me
Would love to paint your belly if you allow him to
Would try your weird cravings with you
And actually like them
Let's not pretend like Hyun doesn't do the pregnant woman pose everyday
Cries so hard when your baby is born
He doesn't mind the gender or anything, but when he found out it's a girl-
"GUYS ITS A MINI Y/N"
She looks like you part 3
Such a clumsy mess when it comes to taking care of her
ART CLASSES ART CLASSES ART CLASSES

will you play with me? (always, my love) - lee seokmin
warnings: brief mention of bullying(?)
pairings: lee seokmin x afab reader
genre: playmates to friends, friends to lovers, lovers to ???? hahaha, fluff fluff fluff
wc: 2k
a/n: this is a long one guys im sorry. of course, inspired by that song: Play With Me by Pagaehun & KKANBYEONGZ :)
*for this fic, lets just all pretend we are the same age as our beloved seokmin!! also, im basing the age and education level off of the korean education system!
check out my masterlist! // seokmin's m.list
when seokmin was 4 years old
''why are you guys picking on him?'' you said angrily with furrorwed eyebrows as you stomped over to the group of boys as fast as you could with your tiny feet. your tiny angry stomps coming closer to where your playmates (classmates?) were at. it had been playtime; free and easy. of course, there were your teachers to look after all of you kids, but the playground was so big! the teacher can't keep up with all kids, especially when a third of you were playing hide and seek.
''seokmin takes too long to find us! he's not very good at being IT, we don't want to play with him anymore!'' sunny, your classmate explained frustratedly with a pout, her arms folding over her small frame. ''you guys are so mean! doesn't that just mean that you guys are good at hiding? how can you blame seokminie!'' you defended your kindergarten classmate. this time, minseok, another classmate spoke up, ''he is just too slow! because of him, we are running out of playtime! we will have to go home soon and can't play anymore until tomorrow!'' how could they possibly blame him! you thought to yourself.
without bothering to say another word to your classmates, you held your small, delicate hand out to seokmin who was squatting sadly in the middle of all your other classmates while they surrounded him in a circle. ''come on, seokminie, if they don't want to play with you, it's okay! i'll play with you! is that okay? will you play with me seokminie?''
seokmin has heard tons of fairytales by age 4; some from kindergarten when the teachers were telling stories during recess, but also from mom and dad when they read him bedtime stories. so obviously, seokmin knows what love is. he knows how happily ever afters start and how they end because afterall, the teacher and his parents would never tell him things that are untrue, right? so, seokmin thinks to himself: she must be the one. because why else would you come to his rescue? that's how all fairytales start! and there must a reason why his cheeks are hot and his heart is beating so hard and fast. he thinks it could be because of the sun and the hot weather, but with him squating in the middle of 6 kids crowding around him in a circle while they are standing, he doubts its because of the sun and hot weather because he is in a well protected shade thanks to the kids.
seokmin held out his hand to reach for yours. he knows he should still be upset over what his classmates did but as soon as his hand touches yours, all the hurtful feelings and sad thoughts leaves his mind. suddenly, all he can think about is how safe your tiny hands feel and that you must be his knight in shining armour.
when seokmin was 15 years old
it was a change in environment for seokmin for sure, he was finally in high school with you, yes same school and same class. and right now, he is having his first gym class of the year. as soon as you were done with stretching, you hear your coach say ''alright, i want you guys to group yourselves in either a group of 3 or a pair and then we can start off with badminton .'' seokmin PANICS because today is only the second day of school and he is sad to admit that other than you, he hasn't made any new friends. he didn't seem to think it was important.
seokmin's eyes roamed around the basketball court hoping to find a partner only to realise he is the only one without a partner or a group. seokmin tried to discretly look over to you to see if you have a group or partner and guess what? you do. in fact, you're in a group of 3 and disappointment slowly washes over him as he turns back around. almost telepathically , your eyes started searching for seokmin and landed on the back of his head. you shoulders sag a little when you realise that seokmin doesn't have a paartner or a group. ''hey sorry you guys,'' you said to your 2 classmates, ''i think im going to join my friend over there.''
you quietly walked over to seokmin, almost in tippy toes. ''seokmin ah, can i join you?'' you asked with a soft smile. ''but what about your group?'' he questioned. ''they can play as a pair, dont worry about them!'' you answered. ''are you sure you wanna partner with me?'' seokmin's eyes turn to look down at his feet. ''yes i'm sure,'' your hand unconsciously reaches out for his. ''come on, play with me! badminton is about to start! let's go against my 2 friends!''
''i don't know y/n, im not very good at badminton.'' seakmin said as he lifts his other free hand to scratch the back of his neck. ''that's how it gets fun seokmin! by making clumsy mistakes! now come on, will you play with me?'' and seokmin simply answers with a nod; he doesn't trust himself now to answer you verbally. he is scared you'll hear how happy and relieved he is. he is afraid his trembling and stuttering voice will give away how he can feel his blood pumping through his veins and into his hammering heart; all because you are holding his hand.
when seokmin was 21 years old
''no, i do not want to go to that party.'' was what seokmin said 2 hours ago, and now? he's sitting on the living room couch watching you play beer pong with your friends. his stomach does a little flip when he sees your lips forming into a pout because you were failing horribly at the game. ''seokmin ah,'' you called out to him (more like shouting over the loud music and the swamp of people in the flat. ''come play beer pong with me!'' seokmin gets up from the couch and starts to walk towards you just as you manage to get a tennis ball into a red cup, seokmin watches your down that cup of beer. as soon as he reaches you, he lets out a deep audible sigh; not that anymore can hear him either. it is way too noisy in here.
he reaches for your empty cup and sets it aside. '' alright, that's enough for the night. you had a lot of pre-game drinks. you drank way too much tonight. it's late, let's get you back to your flat mhm?'' he pleaded with such soft eyes. you wonder if he knows just how in love you are with him. you could stare into his eyes and get lost in them forever if the universe allows. but you know thats not possible. ''can we go after we finish this game? pleeeeease? pretty pretty please? i keep losing and you're good at beer pong! play with me! wongil is joining minho so we can play 2 vs 2.''
''now why would i do that?''
''oh come on! minho and wongil only have 2 cups left, the game will end quickly! they're good at it.''
you watch seokmin and see his pondering over that. ''it'll be really quick i promise!'' seokmin then says: ''do i really have to?''
''will you play with me? please seokminieeeee.'' seokmin lets out a playfully dramatic sigh, pretending like he isn't happy that you asked him for help.
when seokmin is 23
around the corner of the street, leading to a big empty field right beside the mall, just so happens to be a carnival so the two of you decide to take a look around, maybe buy some snacks.
''seokmin look! they have a giant bouncy castle! can we please go?'' you asked, giving him the best puppy dog eyes you can. ''but what if you bounced too hard and land on a kid? that's not gonna be pretty.'' seokmin laughed.
''don't be dramatic, that wont happen!''
''you go ahead, sweetheart. im scared i'll hurt a kid accidentally.''
''we can play by ourselves at that corner,'' you pointed at the very back of the right corner where there is no one there. ''is that enough convincing? will you play with me? please please please'' you begged. ''of course, sweetheart.''
when seokmin was 27
tonight seokmin is taking you out on yet another date. except this time, seokmin tells you about how fancy the restauant is. he had told you that its a new place he's been wanting to try out but hasn't got the chance yet. the truth is, he's only telling you how fancy it is to try to hint at you that you should dress angelically; not that you don't but he thinks: just incase.
he simply just wants you to feel beautiful and worthy when he pops the question.
so here you are, sitting across seokmin at a fancy restaurant in your elegant pink silk dress. seokmin lays his hand across the table, you took the cue and do the same, hand finding his to intertwine your fingers and holding it softly.
''do you know i've been in love with you since we were 4?'' seokmin asks. you giggle in disbelief as you said ''oh really? and why is that? what made you fall in love with me when you were 4?'' you rolled your eyes playfully. ''because you asked me to play with you. you were so cool that day. you were my knight in shining armour!'' he laughs while thinking back to that day. we used to be such kids he thinks.
''babe, i dont think you even know what love is at age 4.'' now it was your turn to laugh. ''maybe not the way adults know love to be, but it was what i knew love to be when i was 4. like my favourite stuffed animal, my favourite toy truck. i loved you then the same way i loved the things i loved.'' he shrugged sheepishly.
''did you just compare me to your toys?'' you teased. ''god no, thats not what i meant.'' he lets go of your hand to rub his face and then comes back to hold your hand again. ''what i'm trying to say is that, that is my favourite thing about you.''
''what is?'' you questioned. ''you asking me to play with you. you always did throughout all these years. be it when we were 4, 15, 21, 23 and everywhere else inbetween,'' he pauses to take a sip of water and to catch his breath before he continues. ''and i realise...while you were asking me to play with you all these years, i've realised that looking back, i have not once asked you to play with me.''
seokmin lets go of your hand once again, but this time he is reaching into his pocket. you watch as he lifts a red velvet box up to the table. ''what i'm really trying to say is: i loved playing with you when we were 4, and i loved it more and more each and every time you ask me to play with you. i want to play fun, stupid and meaninglessly with you everyday for the rest of my life if you'd let me.''
seokmin gets up from his seat and goes by your side. you felt tears fall down your cheek, you're sure your nose is bright red as of now. ''y/n,'' he said as he opened the box as he knelt down in front of you.
''will you play with? will you play with me for the rest of your life?''
seokmin feels relief washing over him as he breaks into a smile when he hears you say ''always, my love.'' he takes your hand and slid the ring on. ''i love you, so so much.'' seokmin confesses. ''i love you too.''

Reaction to MOM'S DAY
Today is mother's day in my country so I thought about writing reactions about skz and the reader having a family together, and an established relationship.
Maknae Line
Tumblr media
This will be the hyung line reaction. â˜ș
Tumblr media
BANGCHAN
Tumblr media
You woke up to the gentle rays of the sun filtering in, accompanied by a delightful scent that filled the room. Glancing at your nightstand, you spotted a jar of your favorite flowers, a sweet gesture from your thoughtful husband. Stretching, you noticed your baby's bed beside yours was empty.
"Channie?" you called out, and your husband appeared at the door, holding your 3-month-old baby in his arms.
"Happy Mother's Day, my love," he greeted you with a kiss on your forehead. You couldn't help but smile at the sight of your baby boy in a onesie that read "Mom's Prince."
"Oh my goodness, he's adorable! Did you dress him?" you asked, amused.
"I did," he replied proudly. "Took me half an hour, but I think I did a decent job."
"It's perfect," you assured him, scooping up your little one. "My little prince."
"I love you," Chan said, gazing at you with affection as you kissed him.
"And I love you more," you teased, making him chuckle.
"Impossible," he countered, but your moment was interrupted by the sound of your baby boy crying.
"Looks like someone's hungry as mama," you remarked, getting ready to feed him. Chan helped you settle back against the bed frame and pillows.
"Hubby's going to whip up a perfect breakfast for you while you feed our little guy," he announced, and you nodded gratefully, focusing on feeding your baby as Chan headed to the kitchen to make you breakfast.

MINHO

You finished getting ready for the day and emerged from the bathroom to find your 6-year-old and 3-year-old, accompanied by cardboard and three cats wearing hats.
"Happy Mother's Day!" they exclaimed in unison, nearly causing you to jump.
"Oh my goodness!" you exclaimed, spotting your husband in the kitchen doorway, wearing an apron and thoroughly enjoying the scene.
"Next!" he commanded in a playful tone, as your 3-year-old daughter, adorned in a princess dress, stepped forward. "You're a queen, Mommy! You're the... the..." she hesitated, glancing back at her father, who silently prompted her.
"The best mommy ever!" she declared with a cute smile that resembled her father's mischievous one.
"And Dad's a king!" your 6-year-old son added enthusiastically. "Lee k-know and y/n are indeed a perfect match." You couldn't help but roll your eyes at your husband, who chuckled in response. "We love you, Mommy," they hugged you.
"Oh, I love you too," you hugged them. "And you too," you said, watching your three cats, not amused by their small cute hats.
"Look, Mommy, it's us!" Your daughter said, showing the collage she made on the cardboard.
"Oh my gosh, so beautiful! You did all of this alone?"
"Yes, Mom!" Your son said proudly.
"I'm impressed! It's beautiful!" You exclaimed.
"Mommy, Daddy brought a present for us to give you," your son said frankly, as Minho chuckled.
"He did?"
"Yes!" The kids went to the room to pick it up as Minho walked to you.
"Happy Mother's Day, kitty," he said, stealing a kiss as you hugged him.
"It couldn't be better," you said, kissing his cheek. "Dori seems to struggle with the hat."
"Trust me, I struggled more to put the hats on," you chuckled, seeing some scratches on his arm.
"I love you," you expressed against his cheek as he pulled you to him with a smirk.
"I love you too, even when you're being a brat."
"Oh, that's true love," you chuckled as he kissed your cheek. You moved apart when the kids appeared in the living room again, excited to show you the present.
"I'm going to finish breakfast," Minho returned to the kitchen as you stayed with your children happily.

CHANGBIN
Tumblr media
You were laying in bed, trying to catch a few more moments of sleep, when you heard noises outside your room. You searched for your husband Changbin, but he was nowhere to be found. Sitting up in bed, you glanced at the slowly opening door, and there stood your husband, ushering your daughters into the room with a tray adorned with a flower and breakfast.
"What's all this?" you asked, a smile spreading across your face as one of the twins excitedly exclaimed, "HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!" She leaped onto the bed, grinning and hugging you tightly.
"Yeah!" your husband, Changbin, chimed in, laughing at the moment.
"Daddy, I can do it!" the other daughter insisted, attempting to push her father away, but he continued to assist her.
"Dad's got it!" he sighed, smiling at you as he helped the little one hand you the tray. "But Dad wanted to help you, sweetheart," he explained, earning a chuckle from you.
"Oh, thank you, beautiful princess!"
"We did all this, didn't we, princesses?" Changbin asked, one of your daughters looking at him in confusion.
"No, a man brought it," you laughed, picking up a grape as Changbin playfully scolded his daughter.
"Yah! Harin!" he chided her.
"Hari, Daddy said not to say that!" the other daughter admonished, and you glanced at him.
"Oh..."
"That's okay, baby. Mommy loves it either way," you reassured them, pulling them into a warm embrace. "I'm so lucky for having Harin and Hajin in my life." You kiss both of them.
"You're the best mommy," Hajin said, making your heart swell with love.
"Oh, babies, I love you so much," you whispered, kissing their cheeks as you hugged them. "Shall we eat?" Changbin joined you, turning on the TV to watch cartoons. The girls were engrossed in the show as they snacked on grapes and strawberries.
"Thank you," you whispered, glancing at your husband, who smiled and tenderly kissed you
"Don't thank me. You deserve so much more, babe," he said, pulling you closer and kissing your temple. "You gave birth to our two beautiful girls. You so good for me. I love you." he whispered against your skin.
"I love you too." you replied, closing your eyes and cherishing the sweet moment.
Tumblr media
HYUNJIN
Tumblr media
"Appa! Red!" exclaimed a cute baby girl while a man fed her baby food.
"No, sweetie. This is black," he corrected her, pointing to his shirt.
"No, Appa red," she insisted, pointing to his back. The man looked back and jumped.
"No, no! The hotteok!" he yelled, rushing with a kitchen cloth to extinguish the fire.
At the same time, you entered the kitchen, still half awake.
"Hyunjinnie?" you called out sweetly, gasping as you saw him putting out the fire. "What happened?" You picked up your daughter from the baby chair.
"Daddy's clumsy," she said, as you chuckled at seeing him throwing the pan into the sink.
"I was trying to surprise you. I wanted out Hyunae to bring you breakfast in bed," he explained. "I even made your favorite juice."
"Oh, honey," you kissed his cheek. "Thank you."
"I'll order food," he suggested.
"No, why don't we do it together? It's our day off and Mother's Day. Nothing would make me happier than making memories as a family," you suggested, and he smiled cheekily.
"Really?" he asked, and you nodded happily. "We can make cookies!" he suggested, and your daughter jumped with excitement in your arms.
"Hyunjinnie? You called him while he was looking for the ingredients.
"Thank you for taking the day off. I love you," you said, tears starting to appear in your eyes.
"Don't thank me, I will do anything for you and Hyunae." He smiled and picked hyunae to place her in the baby chair.
"Dad is bad." Hyunae said as you both chuckled while hyunjin placed the food in her front.
"Oh, wait!" he exclaimed, remembering something. He dashed inside and returned with roses and a present, and from the looks of it, it was a painting.
"Red roses, your favorites! And a present," he said, handing you the roses as you eagerly opened the big gift. It's indeed a painting. You holding your daughter. You recognized the scene from a vacation you three had taken where you were rocking Hyunae to sleep while memorizing the sea in front of you. It was so peaceful.
Your eyes filled with tears as you looked at him.
"hyunjin..." You hugged him.
"Did you like it?" He asked with a smile while he hugged you back.
"I loved it," you said, your voice filled with emotion. "They are happy tears," you assured him as he placed his hands on your cheeks and stole a kiss. "I love you so much." you said, wiping away your tears.
"I love you too," he said, gently helping to wipe away your tears. "Now, let's cook?" You nodded, feeling grateful for the love and warmth surrounding you. Hyunae called your attention and you picked her to help with cooking.

what book I would give each current formula one driver to introduce them to the joy of reading
an intellectual exercise no one* asked for
Max Verstappen: Guns, Germs, and Steel by Jared Diamond - if you are nd and have read this book, you may understand me. otherwise just trust me. the impetus for this post
Checo Perez: The Trumpet of the Swan by E.B. White - this is an excellent read-aloud book for Sergio Jr.'s age, and there is nothing as wonderful as reading a compelling book to a kid you love, imho
Charles Leclerc: The Golden Compass by Phillip Pullman - he is on the record as a Potter enjoyer. also, I think he would enjoy having a little animal friend
Carlos Sainz: Priestdaddy by Patricia Lockwood - okay yes this is partially a joke about the title, but this is a hilarious and wonderful memoir, about weird families and Catholicism, and I think Carlos would enjoy it.
Lando Norris: Guards! Guards! by Terry Pratchett - in my mind Lando is a little bit like @bright-and-burning but less cool, so this fits. also, the combination of high number of jokes/page + action/mystery seems like a good fit
Oscar Piastri: Ancillary Justice by Ann Leckie - this book has the kind of mystery that really draws you in, plus I think Oscar would dig the questions about AI it digs into. I choose to believe with zero evidence that he would be interested in the funky gender stuff
Fernando Alonso: Cloud Atlas by David Mitchell - look me in the eye and tell me this book wasn't written for Fernando Alonso
Lance Stroll: Ender's Game by Orson Scott Card - yeah
Lewis Hamilton: Die Trying by Lee Child - Lewis deserves to read mildly trashy thrillers <3 plus there's a Tom Cruise movie
George Russell: Changing My Mind by Zadie Smith - as a proud Brit, George should be reading one of the premiere English authors of the 21st century. her first book of essays is a fun and readable place to start
Yuki Tsunoda: Station Eleven by Emily St. John Mandel - I don't have a Yuki-lore explanation, I just want to give him one of my favorite books
Daniel Ricciardo: The Gunslinger by Steven King - The Dark Tower series is Lord of the Rings-esque in scope but Western-inflected in aesthetic and written by The Horror Guy, I think DR would enjoy
Alex Albon: The Emperor of All Maladies: A Biography of Cancer by Siddhartha Mukherjee - I say this with so much love in my heart, but Alex wants to be seen as smart. this book is brilliantly written pop science
Logan Sargeant: Bloomability by Sharon Creech - yes this is a book for tween girls, but it's about boarding school in Switzerland, and Sharon Creech is a genius. if I could convince him to read it, I think he would love it
Valtteri Bottas: The Fellowship of the Ring by JRR Tolkien - what are hobbits if not humanoid moomins?
Zhou Guanyu: Piranesi by Susannah Clarke - a fun, exciting, stylishly written book for a stylish guy
Kevin Magnussen: Watership Down by Richard Adams - rabbit warfare <3
Nico Hulkenberg: A Gentleman in Moscow by Amor Towles - Hulk SEEMS like a Dad Who Reads Historical Fiction, even if he isn't yet
Pierre Gasly: Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo - I almost said A Game of Thrones but I don't think that would be good for him. so, Six of Crows. he likes heists!
Esteban Ocon: City of Brass by S.A. Chakraborty - a superhero origin story of sorts for Mr. Spiderman
Bonus: Liam Lawson: Gideon the Ninth by Tamsyn Muir - lesbian from New Zealand. let me have this
*ro asked for it, take it up with them @oscarpiastriwdc
