Brief Guide to Know Everything about Lash Extensions
Lash extensions have taken the beauty world by storm, offering a game-changing way to achieve long, luscious lashes without the need for mascara or falsies. Whether you’re a beauty enthusiast or a curious beginner, this guide will give you all the insights you need to know about lash extensions Richmond. Let’s dive into the essentials and discover if this popular beauty trend is right for you.
What Are Lash Extensions?
Lash extensions are semi-permanent fibers, typically made from synthetic materials, silk, or mink, that are applied to your natural lashes using a medical-grade adhesive. Unlike temporary strip lashes, lash extensions are customized to fit your eye shape and desired look, providing a more natural yet striking appearance.
Benefits of Lash Extensions
Time-Saving: No more fussing with mascara or false lashes every morning.
Customizable: Choose from various lengths, curls, and thicknesses.
Enhanced Look: Accentuates your eyes, making them appear brighter and more awake.
Long-Lasting: With proper care, extensions can last several weeks.
Types of Lash Extensions
Classic Lash Extensions: A single extension is applied to each natural lash for a natural, elegant look.
Volume Lash Extensions: Multiple ultra-light lashes are fanned out and applied to each natural lash, giving a fuller, more dramatic effect.
Hybrid Lash Extensions: A mix of classic and volume lashes, offering a balance of fullness and definition.
Tumblr media
The Lash Extension Process
Here’s what to expect during a typical lash extension appointment:
Consultation: Discuss your desired look with the lash artist.
Preparation: Your lashes will be cleaned and primed.
Application: Lashes are applied one by one using specialized tools.
Final Touches: Your lash artist will ensure the extensions are symmetrical and secure.
The process typically takes 1.5 to 3 hours, depending on the type and volume of lashes.
Lash Care Tips
To extend the life of your lash extensions:
Avoid water and steam for the first 24-48 hours.
Use oil-free makeup removers and cleansers.
Refrain from rubbing your eyes or pulling at the extensions.
Schedule touch-ups every 2-3 weeks to maintain fullness.
FAQs About Lash Extensions
Are lash extensions safe? Yes, when applied by a trained professional using high-quality products. Ensure you research the salon and artist before booking.
Can I wear makeup with lash extensions? Yes, but avoid oil-based products as they can weaken the adhesive. Stick to water-based or lash-safe options.
How much do lash extensions cost? Prices range from $100 to $300+, depending on the type and location.
Are Lash Extensions Right for You?
Lash extensions are perfect for those looking to simplify their beauty routine and achieve a polished look effortlessly. However, they require maintenance and a commitment to proper care.

The Makeup That I Wear Every Day.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
On the top left: Wet n' Wild MegaClear mascara. I've been using Wet n' Wild mascaras as primers for years. I just use one coat under my normal mascara, and then I apply one to two coats of my regular mascara. This clear one also functions as a lash serum, but without those horrible side effects. Plus, Wet n' Wild mascaras are clean, meaning they contain no parabens, no phthalates, no talc, no mineral oil, or paraffin. This one doesn't contain a fragrance. Plus, it's great for my no makeup days.
L'Oreal Voluminous Noir Balm mascara. If you're looking for a clean mascara that's doesn't contain fragrance, parabens, phthalates, mineral oil, paraffin, talc, fragrance, and other stuff, get this one. I use one coat, and I still get dramatic length, definition, and volume. It's easy to remove. I used to use two coats, and got even more dramatic effect, but one is just as good. With my clear mascara/primer/serum, I don't need a second coat. I just discovered this one. The wand isn't so small that you can't see it, but the wand isn't SUV sized, either. The wand is just right, and easy to hold. The formula is clean, vegan, and is more of a balm than a thick, goopy mess, and it doesn't hit you with a fragrance. It's allergy season here in Michigan, and my eyes are more sensitive as a result. Plus, fragrances are very irritating to me.
I curl my lashes with Cover Girl makeup masters eyelash curler. I keep coming back to this one. It's comfortable to hold, and it's comfortable to use. It doesn't pinch my lids. If I can't find this, I'll buy a Revlon curler, because Revlon eyelash curlers are comfortable to hold and use, and don't pinch my lids.
I start with my eye makeup, so Incase I make a mistake, I can easily remove it with a Q-tip that I cover in Vaseline.
Top left, and second to the bottom: Maybelline Master Prime in blur and pore minimize. I recently came back to this one, and I love it. My skin loves it. Another customer at Kroger's recommended this. The formula is clean and vegan, and my skin feels soft, isn't oily, and my skin looks smooth. Plus, there's no irritating ingredients, which means my skin won't react. Plus, it's a dupe of the Smashbox primer, you know the one that started primers, but Maybelline Master Primer is only a fraction of the cost
Tumblr media
That redness in my cheeks isn't blush! It's my skin being sensitive. Yes, my skin is oily, breakout prone, and sensitive on top of this. Yes, my skin was slightly irritated. You can see also the redness from when I had a huge zit on the left side of my cheek that's since dried out, and shrunk in size.
Wet n' Wild Megalast Incognito concealer in Medium Neutral. I use this every day. I have dark circles, and this stuff covers them up without caking, or irritating my eyes. It blends really well, too. I don't have a weird cast and my dark circles don't crack through. It doesn't cake, either. It stays put. It's a reasonably priced dupe of the Nars concealer, but the applicator is much bigger. It doesn't look like you get a lot in there, but a little goes a long way.
Almay Clear Complexion foundation in buff. My skin, is oily, breakout prone and sensitive, so this makeup covers my skin really well. The shades run on the dark side, so you need to go down a shade. Your skin tone will adjust. In the two months I've been using this, my skin has improved. My skin rarely breaks out, my skin isn't as oily, and it's made my skin even better when I take it off. There's no fragrance, and the formula is clean, meaning that there's no talc (a famous ingredient in makeup and other products for oily skin), fragrance- which irritates my sensitive skin for some reason, I do have to be careful, parabens, phthalates, paraffin, mineral oil, and other stuff that can be irritating to skin. It does contain salicylic acid, which is great for breakouts. The amount is 1%, which is just enough to treat breakouts.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
As you can see in both photos, Almay Clear Complexion has made a difference. The photo on the left is from when I started using it. The photo on the right is two months later, and you can see how much my skin has improved.
Top right: Coty Airspun Loose Powder, Talc Free Formula in Translucent Extra Coverage. I've been using this is high school, and it's getting harder to find. If I can't find this, then I'll use Cover Girl Clean Invisible Loose Powder in Translucent Light. I do like to buy the Coty Airspun Loose Powder whenever I find it. It does contain fragrance, yet it doesn't irritate my skin. They used to make one for sensitive skin, but it's been discontinued. The fragrance isn't strong, but it reminds me of my Nana and my grandma. My mom got me hooked on this stuff in high school, and it's been my main go to ever since. It's talc-free, mineral oil free, parabens free, BHT free (it's a carcinogen, so be careful with this one, if you see it as a listed ingredient, please put it back on the shelf, there's safer and cleaner alternatives) , and it's water based. If you have dry skin, this really won't dry it out, and for sensitive skin, it's great because it's not too irritating, even though it does contain fragrance, but it nothing that's too strong.
Bottom photo: Cover Girl Clean Invisible pressed powder in buff beige. I keep this on my purse, and I use it to touch up. I've been using Cover Girl Pressed Powders ever since high school, and they really keep my oily skin at bay. The new and improved original clean ones contain no talc, parabens, fragrance, phthalates, mineral oil, or fragrance. My skin just isn't irritated when I use it.
I use a clear or tinted lip balm ever day. I use a different one every day.
You can also see the sock that I'm knitting. I frogged that, and just cast on 64 stitches. It's working out better.

Tumblr media
Who doesn’t want long and luscious lashes? Every woman dreams of having longer, fuller, and fluttery eyelashes, but not everyone is blessed naturally with them. Let’s admit it, we all know the struggle with finding the correct lash mascara and sticking extremely difficult to wear strip lashes. However, there’s always a better solution, and when we are talking about a better solution, it’s none other than “eyelash extension services”. If you wish to have celebrity-like dramatic lashes, or an all-natural look with fluttery, glamorous lashes, extensions can work effortlessly for you. Want to decrease time getting ready every morning or feel extra glamorous for vacation or special events with natural-looking lashes? Here are the hottest eyelash extension trends among celebrities right now!
#1 Wispy Lashes for a Natural Look
Well, this is one of the most sought-after eyelash extension trends among celebrities. Characterized by lightweight and feathery lashes that taper at the ends, wispy lashes create a natural yet fluttery effect ideal for every occasion and look. Celebrities like Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra have been spotted rocking this trend on and off their red carpet, and you can do that too with wispy lashes enhancing your eyes with subtle elegance.
#2 Bold and Dramatic Volume
If you prefer a more dramatic flair, bold volume lashes are the go-to choice. Bold lashes involve applying multiple lightweight lash extensions to create a glamorous and voluminous look, and celebrities such as Aishwarya Rai Kareena Kapoor are known for flaunting their voluminous lashes while making a statement with their enchantress gaze.
#3 Cat Eye Lashes for a Sultry Effect
Also known as winged or feline lashes, this lash option has been making waves in the celebrity beauty scene. So, cat-eye lashes feature longer extensions at the outer corners of the eyes, creating a winged effect that accentuates your natural eye shape and adds a touch of allure. Several well-known celebrities like Taylor Swift have embraced their trend to channel old Hollywood glamour with a modern twist, and you can rock that look too!
#4 Textured Lashes for Dimension
Do you want to get a natural-looking, multi-dimension look for your lashes? If the answer is yes, it’s high time you gravitate towards textured lashes. Conclusion
This was everything you needed to know about celebrity eyelash extension trends. You can also choose eyelash extensions based on your eye shape. Can You Wear Mascara with Lash Lift?
If you're looking to enhance the look of your natural lashes, you may have come across the lash lift treatment. It's a popular way to curl and lift your lashes, making them appear longer and fuller. However, if you're used to wearing mascara, you may wonder if it's still safe after getting a lash lift. In this article, we'll explore the topic in detail and give all the information you need before you reach for your mascara.
1. What is a Lash Lift?
A lash lift is a cosmetic treatment that lifts and curls your natural lashes. It's a popular alternative to lash extensions and is less damaging to your lashes. Unlike lash extensions, which involve attaching artificial lashes to your natural lashes, lash lifts simply enhance the natural curl of your lashes.
2. How Does a Lash Lift Work?
During a lash lift, your lashes are coated with a special solution that softens the hair and allows it to be molded into a new shape. The lashes are then curled upwards using a small tool and set in place with another solution. The whole process takes around an hour, and the results can last for up to 6-8 weeks.
3. Can You Wear Mascara with Lash Lift?
Yes, you can wear mascara with a lash lift. However, waiting at least 24 hours after getting a lash lift before applying any mascara is important. This will give the lashes enough time to set in their new shape and prevent them from becoming damaged or misshapen.
4. Factors to Consider Before Wearing Mascara with Lash Lift
Before reaching for your mascara, there are a few things to consider. Firstly, not all mascaras are created equal. Some mascaras are formulated to be more gentle on the lashes and are less likely to cause damage or clumping. Secondly, the type of lash lift you get may also affect whether or not you can wear mascara. You may not need to wear mascara if you get a more dramatic lash lift.
5. Tips for Using Mascara with Lash Lift
If you decide to wear mascara with lash lift, here are some tips to keep in mind:
Choose a mascara that's formulated to be gentle on the lashes
Use a clean mascara wand to apply the mascara, and avoid using too much product
Apply the mascara in a zigzag motion to prevent clumping
Don't apply mascara to the very base of the lashes, as this can cause them to become weighed down and lose their curl
Use a lash comb to separate any clumps and keep the lashes looking defined
6. How to Remove Mascara from Lashes with Lash Lift
When it comes time to remove your mascara, being gentle is essential. Use a soft, oil-based makeup remover and avoid rubbing or pulling on the lashes. Instead, soak a cotton pad in the makeup remover and hold it against the lashes for a few seconds to allow the product to break down the mascara. Gently wipe away the mascara, taking care not to tug on the lashes or use harsh rubbing motions.
7. Alternatives to Mascara with Lash Lift
If you're not comfortable using mascara with a lash lift, there are other options you can consider. Some people opt for lash tinting, which involves colouring the lashes with a semi-permanent dye. This can help make the lashes appear fuller and darker without needing mascara. Another option is to use a lash serum, which can help to promote lash growth and thickness over time.
8. How to Maintain Lash Lift Effectiveness
To keep your lash lift looking its best, there are a few things you can do:
Avoid getting your lashes wet for the first 24 hours after the treatment
Avoid using oil-based products on your lashes, as these can weaken the lift
Use a lash conditioner to keep the lashes nourished and healthy
Don't rub or pull on the lashes, as this can cause them to become damaged or fall out prematurely
9. Pros and Cons of Wearing Mascara with Lash Lift
Some of the pros of wearing mascara with lash lift include:
Added definition and volume to the lashes
The ability to customize the look of the lashes
The option to switch up your look with different mascara formulations
However, there are also some cons to consider:
The risk of damaging the lashes with harsh mascara formulas or application techniques
The need to remove the mascara gently to avoid damaging the lift
The possibility of the mascara causing clumping or weighing down the lashes
If you need help finding a trusted and experienced lash technician in your area, ayasalbeauty, a leading provider of lash lift kit AYASALcan assist you with your search.
10. Conclusion
In conclusion, you can wear mascara with a lash lift, but it's essential to be careful and choose the right formula. Waiting at least 24 hours after the treatment and using a gentle application technique can help to prevent damage to the lashes. Other options exist if you're uncomfortable using mascara with a lash lift, such as lash tinting or lash serums.
11. FAQs
How long does a lash lift last? Depending on the individual, a lash lift can last 6-8 weeks.
Can you wear waterproof mascara with a lash lift? WeWearingift is generally not recommended, as is generally not recommended it can be more challenging to remove and may cause the lashes to become damaged.
How soon after a lash lift can you wear mascara? It's best to wait at least 24 hours after getting a lash lift before applying any mascara.
Can lash lift damage your natural lashes? If done correctly, a lash lift should not cause damage to your natural lashes.
Is a lash lift suitable for everyone? A lash lift is generally safe for most people, but you must speak to a professional before getting the treatment if you have any concerns.

Partners in Crime (Natasha Romanoff x f!Reader)
Tumblr media
Wordcount: 1524
Warnings: death, funeral
Summary: A boring night of mission report writing with your girlfriend Natasha and your friend Clint takes an unexpected turn.
A/N: Inspired by Max Richter’s On The Nature of Daylight, my weird mood after watching the Arrival and my constant insatiable hunger for angst. To amp up the hurt, I highly recommend listening to the song while reading.
"This job will be the death of me one day."
Natasha hums and holds up a finger, chewing on the end of her pen. Clint just grunts, not even bothering to answer you as he stuffs another slice of pizza in his mouth. You crinkle your nose - you're a messy eater, but that boy can be downright nasty. Laying your head on your forearms and resting your eyes for a moment, you sigh. Being a SHIELD agent is all fun and games for an adrenaline junkie like you and your esteemed colleagues, but eventually, when the fieldwork runs out and the paperwork catches up with you (along with threatening messages from Director Fury to deliver your reports on time), you don't feel like it's all that amusing anymore. Being stuck at HQ on a Saturday night at 11 pm isn't your idea of fun. You ignore your badly typed up report in front of you as you gaze at your girlfriend expectantly, mouthing "entertain me" when she finally looks up. She rolls her eyes but smiles, her computer screen lighting up her face, lending her an almost ethereal glow. Natasha has always been an otherworldly phenomenon for you and probably always will be.
"Dying is pretty much part of the equation here," Natasha finally acknowledges you, leaning back in her chair. "Hate to break it to you, but we're constantly assigned the most dangerous missions."
"I meant the paperwork, not the missions," you grin, your face and hair a tired mess that is still the most beautiful thing in the world for Nat. She masks her admiration pretty well though, just so you don't know the true magnitude of your effect on her. She's not sure you're ready for that. Hell, she's not even sure she herself is.
"Well, look at you being all optimistic," Clint speaks up sarcastically with a mouthful of food. "Thinking you'd die of typing up a report instead of participating in a death-defying mission."
"I'm not!" you laugh. "Really, it's not like I am already planning my retirement or something."
"Yeah? 'Cause I am," Barton smiles, his eyes looking but not really seeing. He's seeing Laura and the kids and the house, and he sees himself teaching his children how to shoot straight with a bow and arrow and how to start a fire from scratch, and he's already saving up for their college tuitions. You look at Natasha, who just shrugs with a smile. "Never really had the chance to think about living to a ripe old age before, but better late than never."
"Wait, hold on - are you guys serious? You're really thinking about the future so... positively?"
"It's called hope, baby," Natasha teases you. You click your tongue in mild frustration. You won't be lectured about hope for the future by these two dramatic morons who would sacrifice their lives at a moment's notice if they thought that was the best course of action.
"Well, since you're both so awfully sure about surviving, I guess we need to talk about my funeral," you end up laughing, sleep deprivation soaking into your slurred words. Clint snorts. Nat furrows her brows in confusion. "No dress code. Have a good time. And yes, by that I mean throw a huge party in a fancy club. Oh, and blast Highway to Hell on maximum volume during the ceremony."
Facing your own mortality almost every day is a burden that cannot be carried without the soothing touch of dark humor to ease the constantly impending doom looming above your head. Clint is often game in jokes and ideas such as this, but it comes as a surprise when Natasha breaks into a tired grin too. "I'll start taking notes. Anything else you want? From us, maybe? Since we'll obviously outlive you by far."
"Wait, I have an idea!" Clint straightens his back, revitalized by this quality distraction from his half-assed mission report. "I'll come in full gear, arrows and bow and all, okay? So it's raining, right? Hair all soaked, I have this doom and gloom expression plastered on my face, and I just go up to your coffin, lay a hand on it and whisper some shit like, 'I'm too late... I was supposed to be the one to take you out.'"
"You gotta do your raspy, deep voice though," Nat laughs.
"Wait, are you saying my voice isn't deep and manly enough for you?"
"I'm sold," you say, electing to ignore Clint's last remark of faux outrage. "That leaves you, baby. I want you to wear something insanely foxy and elegant."
"And a pair of sunglasses, even if it's not even sunny!" Barton adds enthusiastically.
"Hey, I thought there was no dress code!" Natasha shakes her head, red curls bouncing around her face in protest.
"My funeral, my rules. Besides, you'll be playing the mourning trophy wife who's recently been widowed and has inherited a fortune. You have to look good."
"You have to marry me first to make me a widow." Her smile is seductive and loving and challenging. Your stomach flips from your sudden surge of anxiety and enthusiasm. Hopefully, someday, you want to say, but you glance at Clint and don't say anything. You're tired of him calling you cheesy and mushy all the time.
"And (Y/n) has a lot of paperwork to do yet to earn that fortune she keeps talking about!"
"You know what, Barton? Fuck you."
You haven't laughed this much in a long time. You look around the room with a wide smile on your face, trying to memorize these cherished little details that make the whole world bearable for you: the green flash of Natasha's cat eyes, the crinkle in the corners of Clint's eyes when he laughs, their playful banters, how Nat swats Clint's arm playfully when he says something stupid, flashing her pearly whites in an open-mouthed laugh. You're so overwhelmed with love for Natasha, the Bonnie to your Clyde, the Thelma to your Louise. You don't know if you could ever thank Clint for having your back no matter what. You want this moment to last forever, and in a way, it does. You've burnt it into your memory, imprinted into your heart even; so much in fact that when you took your last breath, you were looking at a terrified Steve Rogers trying to stop your burgundy blood from spilling out, but that wasn't what you were seeing. You saw your partners in crime, laughing over open pizza boxes and half-written mission reports on a cold December night at the SHIELD headquarters two years ago. You saw Natasha, her reflection dancing on the huge window behind her, as the lights of New York and the star-studded sky crowned her crimson hair. Even then, her eyes were the brightest things you'd ever seen. They will always be the brightest for you. She will always be.
Life goes on without you, even though they don't want it to. They have a promise to keep though, and they adhere to it, down to the last detail, because when they do, they feel like you're still alive. Fury is wearing a knitted sweater the color of orange. "For hope," he says, tugging on his sleeves nervously. Laura is there too, along with all those you had loved and who loved you. Clint wears his full gear, just like he said he would, and he does go up to your coffin, placing a hand over the smooth but cold wood. It's raining, and he's not sure whether the water drops on the polished oak are raindrops or his own tears.
"I'm too late... I'm too late..." he whispers, voice barely audible from the panic of your death dawning on him. "I was supposed to be the one to... I was supposed to be the one to save you."
Natasha never thought she'd ever cry over an ACDC song, especially not Highway to Hell, but today is a first for her from many perspectives. Her mascara is running down her cheeks in thick black lines, but she keeps herself steady because she made a promise to you, and so she obediently keeps pushing her big black sunglasses up that stubbornly slide down her nose every now and then. She is divine, even though she was thoroughly soaked before Steve came to stand with her, sharing his umbrella with her. Your favorite black dress of hers, paired with a black fur coat, delicate black gloves and a pair of high heels. Natasha knows that if this doesn't wake you up, then nothing will.
She is a widow now, truly. Her codename meant little to her before, but now she is merging with it fully. And the fortune you left her? Well, it may not be tangible, like money, or the little shared apartment of yours, or the wedding band the mortician slid off your finger and gave to Natasha - no, it's the memories. It's the nights spent together, the secrets whispered in the dark, the sunsets watched together, the dinners cooked in silent harmony, the love that was made in the symphony of your bodies.
Natasha doesn't know why, but she thinks back to that cold, cold Saturday night from two years ago. And she smiles through her tears.

All My Fault 12

^^^^^
“Do you not want to put your dress on first?” Damian asked.
“Nope. Hair first. Then makeup. Then Steph’s gonna come in and help me with my dress,” I replied. “I'm not pulling it on over my head, though, so it won’t ruin my hair.”
“Tt. I see,” Damian said. “Alright. Have a seat.”
I obediently sat down in front of my desk chair in just shorts, my hoodie, and the bra I was going to wear under my gown. The hoodie was so I could just unzip it and take it off without pulling a shirt over my hair to ruin it.
Damian sat behind me in my desk chair, pulled a package of bobby pins out of his pocket, and picked up my brush and comb. My hair was hanging, wet, down my back and all brushed out. I leaned my head back into Damian’s hands. He began to run his fingers through my hair to section it off as evenly as possible.
I kept my eyes closed so I could just feel what he was doing. It was so relaxing.
While I’d been dancing with Dick in the ballroom the day before, he’d dramatically languished that he was so jealous that I let Damian play with my hair and not him. Dick complained that he’d always wanted to play with my hair because it looked so thick and soft and I would never let him. Which wasn’t entirely true, but he was exaggerating for dramatic effect. And it worked to get me to smile. Then again, my smiles came easy. Unlike Damian and Bruce’s.
I let out a little, “Hmm…” of contentment.
“Does that feel good?” Damian asked. There was no smile in his voice. Just a genuine question.
“Mmhmm,” I grunted, bouncing my left eyebrow. “Feels sooo good.”
Damian chuckled quietly, almost like he didn’t want me to hear. But when I was literally sitting with my shoulders nearly touching his shins, it would have been hard for me not to hear.
It took longer for him to do my hair tonight than last night, even though my hair was wet and staying in place better, because he was being more precise and careful. I gave him complete control over my hair and just sat there, moving around whenever his hands guided me to tilt my head a certain direction.
After maybe fifteen minutes—twenty, maybe?—he finished it off, pinning a few weaves in place, curling the few wisps he teased out of the weaves and plaits, and giving my hair a generous helping of hairspray while using his other hand to block my eyes and face from getting sprayed.
He helped me to my feet. “Take a look,” he recommended. I jogged over to the mirror in my bathroom and peered at it.
“Wow! It looks even better today!” I exclaimed. “I just wanna touch it! But I know I can’t!” I cast a bright smile over my shoulder at him. “Thank you, Damian!” I rushed back over to him and threw my arms around him. “I love it!” I pulled back. “Okay! I gotta put my makeup on. I’ll see you in a little bit, yeah?”
Damian nodded, a bit astonished at the intensity of my hug, and slowly backed out of my room. “Yes. Of course. I will be here to escort you downstairs precisely at five-fifty-five,” he replied.
“Great. Thanks again! I totally owe you one. ‘Kay see you later!” I shut the door and ran to my phone to text Stephanie. Okay he’s gone! Come help me with this dress!
Are you not doing your makeup first?
I’ll start it while you’re on your way. Can’t wait for you to see this hairstyle. It’s amazing.
I'm excited too! Be right there!
I smiled and unzipped my jacket. In my closet, I unzipped the garment bag and got the beautiful green evening gown out, draping it over my bed. In my bathroom I started my eyeshadow, peering at myself through half-lids in the mirror.
Hot dang Damian did a fantastic hairstyle. He got my hair out of my face, but made it look elegant and beautiful. My hair was always one of my favorite features about myself, and I was grateful that he was able to make it look so nice. Especially since this was my first event in this future and I usually did my own hair the same way every time.
Knock-knock!
I ran to my door and yanked it open.
Stephanie Brown, a.k.a. The Spoiler, stood there with a smile on her face. She used to be about two years younger than me. Now she was six years older. She looked gorgeous as always. Glimmering violet gown that hugged her fit figure, soft blonde hair falling in careful curls. She was a few inches taller than me.
She pushed herself into my room and into my hug. “Look at you, Cloudy!” she squealed. “You look so pretty!” She pulled back enough to look at my hair. “Oh wow. Damian’s got a good eye. That’s got, like, a perfect balance to your profile. Look at me. Look to the side,” she ordered, pinching my chin and turning my head side-to-side. “Yup. You’re gonna be a knockout tonight.” She shut my bedroom door behind her. “Now. Dress.”
“Dress,” I agreed. I picked it up off my bed and showed it off to her. “What do you think?”
“It’s gorgeous. Damian still has no idea why you picked the color you did?”
“Not a clue. Or if he did figure it out, he hasn’t confronted me about it.”
“Huh. Well. Maybe when he sees you in it, he’ll get it.” She took it from my hands and unzipped the back. “Okay. Step lightly,” she warned. I nodded, pulled off my shorts and hoodie, and gently eased into the dress. Steph helped it up over my legs and hips, made sure I got my arms into the short sleeves, and then zipped up the back for me. She turned me around to look me up and down. “I think I'm going to faint,” she teased. “You look so beautiful!” She smiled. “I missed you, y’know.”
“I know, Steph. Thanks.” I smiled.
“You gonna finish your makeup now?” she asked.
“Yeah. How much time have I got?” I wondered, peering around for my alarm clock. Where had I hidden it this time?
Steph looked at her phone. “About twenty minutes,” she said.
“Perfect. Just enough time. I’ll see you down there.”
“See you down there.” She squeezed my arms and squealed. “Tonight’s gonna be great!” With dexterity I would literally never master, she ran out of my room—in her four-inch heels. I was wearing two-inch heels that I could feasibly dance in.
Another head poked in as Steph left. “Hey kid,” Jason greeted. “I'm still legally dead so I'm heading out on patrol. Someone’s gotta. Just wanted to wish you luck.”
“Thanks Jay,” I offered, crossing over to him and giving him a little hug—just a small one though so I wouldn’t wrinkle my dress.
“Wow. You’re drop-dead gorgeous tonight, kiddo,” he said. “Damian’s gonna die when he sees you.”
I snorted. “Steph said something similar.”
“She’s not wrong. I mean, if Damian’s not already in love with you, he will be by the end of the night.”
I smacked Jason in the chest. “Jason! Damian’s not in love with me!” I retorted with a laugh. “We’re just… working on being friends. You know he and I were never particularly close when he was younger—”
“Maybe, Cloudy, but you’ll see.” He gave me a cheeky wink and moved to leave. “Tomorrow I wanna hear all about it.”
“Bye Jason,” I said.
He ducked out of my room with a sarcastic two-fingered salute. “Have fun, Princess of Gotham!”
“I'm not a princess!” I called out after him before shutting my door and going back to my makeup. Not much left now. Some rouge. Some eyeliner—not even winged. Mascara. Lipstick. Maybe a touch of perfume if I felt the need… did I put on deodorant? Shoot. I couldn’t remember.
I yanked open my medicine cabinet and popped the deodorant lid off. Oh well. Even if I already had, what was wrong with more, right? Extra protection or something? I didn’t know. I was hitting panic mode.
I went back to my makeup, going through my pre-gala checklist in my head. My hair was done—Damian did it, which was really throwing me off my groove. My makeup was in progress. My dress was on. I’d put my heels on before Damian came to get me. I didn’t need a bag or my phone because we were literally in the house where I lived. I’d come up and reapply lipstick if I needed to. I shouldn’t need to though… it tended to last for at least four hours as long as I didn’t eat anything.
Okay. Good. Calm down. No panic. Just another party. Not even giving a speech. Not in front of everyone anyway. I’d probably be explaining my fake story about being lost in the time-stream fifteen hundred times to gossips who wanted something to talk about for the next several months, but there was no podium.
I was curling my eyelashes when I heard a knock on the door. “McCloud? Are you finished?” Damian called.
“Uh… not yet!” I shouted. “Gimme a few minutes! You can go ahead and head downstairs if you wanna come back in five minutes!”
“Tt. Don’t be ridiculous, McCloud. I cannot show up to the charity ball without the lady I'm escorting.”
“Seriously, Damian! Just head down! It’s fine. Go schmooze for five minutes till I'm done. I just have to finish my makeup and get my heels—oh crap! I forgot my jewelry!” I shoved the mascara wand in the tube and dropped it on my counter before gathering up my skirt into one hand and running into my bedroom. I rummaged through my jewelry box, looking for the stud emerald earrings I’d planned on wearing—Dick had picked them out, but Damian gave them to me on my twentieth birthday.
There they were. I held them in one hand and searched for my necklace in the other. A heavy gold chain with emeralds on it. Come on. Bruce gave it to me like two days ago…
There it was! I snatched it and the matching bracelet.
I ran back to my bathroom to finish mascara and lipstick before heels and jewelry.
Mascara. Done. Lipstick. Done but a little messy—need to fix that… Okay fixed… Jewelry: cleaned off. Earrings in. Bracelet on. Little struggle with my necklace, but it’s on, I thought frantically. Heels!
I hopped into them and buckled them around my ankles.
Once I was ready, I looked at myself in front of my full-length mirror in my closet.
I looked nice.
Straightening my posture and taking a fortifying breath, I strode over to my door. I hadn’t heard Damian say anything so I assumed he went downstairs without me.
Here we go, I thought. I yanked the door open, ready to face the party.
I nearly walked into a pillar wrapped in a tuxedo standing right there. “Damian!”
^^^^^
Damian stared, his eyes widening and mouth dropping open.
He closed and opened his mouth like a fish for a moment, too stunned to fathom his racing thoughts into words. “You… you look incredible,” he finally managed to say. Stupid—stupid! You sound like an imbecile, he thought sharply.
She wore the gown he’d designed and she’d colored—it was a vibrant yet relaxed green with simple gold accents. It wasn’t a gown that hugged her entire body tightly. She hated not being able to move. It fit her torso well and hung loose down her legs. He could see the low gold heels poking out from under the hem. Her lips were a dark pink with a purplish tint. She wore the gold-and-emerald necklace Father had suggested, and the earrings Damian once gave her for her birthday. Her eyeliner made the brown of her eyes even darker and more intense. The mascara boldened her eyelashes—they were thick and dark anyway, but now they were long, black, and far more noticeable.
McCloud smiled—a bright expression that could put the entire night sky to shame. It was the same kind of grin she’d given him when she saw her properly-done hairdo in the mirror earlier. The kind that made his heart pound and his breathing falter. “Thank you! You look really nice too!” she replied, looking him up and down. “You really fill out a tux now that you’re older.”
“Thank… thank you,” he said.
How to Sound Like an Idiot 101: Try to Talk to Your Crush When She’s So Gorgeous You’re Speechless, he heard Tim’s laughing voice say in his mind.
Damian got his wits back. He offered her his arm. “Shall we?” he asked.
She looped her arm through his. “Absolutely,” she replied. “I, uh, I'm surprised you waited for me.”
“Of course,” he said. “I could hardly go down into the masses without you.”
She giggled quietly. “Thanks.”
Damian’s heart thudded against his sternum with every step they took toward the ballroom. He could smell her perfume—something floral. Jasmine, maybe. Or was it lavender? It was a familiar scent that he couldn’t place. She’d worn it before, he knew that. A long time ago for him. Not so long for her.
Whatever it was, he had to convince himself not to be intoxicated and entirely enraptured by it.
^^^^^
Damian and I reached the stairs to the foyer. Guests were arriving by the carload and streaming into the ballroom. I squeezed Damian’s arm tighter. “You ready?” I asked.
“As long as you are,” he replied.
We descended down into the charity ball.

Can You Wear Mascara After A Keratin Lash Lifting System?
Well, the answer is yes! Eyelashes work as your first line of defense against airborne dirt, lint, dust, and other debris. When your eyes open and close, your eyelashes also blink at that time. These eyelashes can catch some debris & prevent them from entering your eyes. At the time your eyes are closed, however, your eyelashes form a nearly impenetrable barrier to keep all those nasty things away.
Tumblr media
Apart from all that, having a good thickness in eyelashes can significantly improve your appearance and also enhance your entire face. One of the best ways to achieve beautiful lashes is through a Keratin Lash lifting system.
Some individuals get a lash lift to enhance the thickness of lashes they already have. Others require it to give new life to their eyelashes.
For most individuals, however, it’s mostly to save both time & energy. Nowadays everyone leads busy lives and has crazy schedules. Keratin Lash lifting systems are a very convenient shortcut to great lashes.
In this blog, we will discuss a few essential aftercare questions about Keratin lash lifts.
Is It Alright to Apply Mascara with Lash Lifts?
Yes! No matter if you have thick or thin eyelashes, you can use mascara to enhance the lift that’s giving your lashes life.
But the thing is that you have to be careful about the kind of mascara you use. Think of the procedure as something similar to hair treatment. After the treatment, there are some crucial do’s & don’ts you have to follow. Neglecting best practices can result in ruining your eyelashes.
Do yourself a favor and please follow your lash technician’s advice on aftercare.
When Can You Wear Mascara?
Before wearing any mascara or any eye makeup at all, it’s best to wait at least twenty-four hours. Maximum mascara companies add oil in the process of making the mascara that can break down your lash lift. After all this, you want to do your best to make the lift last as long as possible. Avoiding any oil-based products, in general, is the best, just to ensure that your lashes last longer & stay lifted.
Which Mascara Should You Use?
After a Keratin Lash lifting system, you may not even need mascara since your eyelashes will look enhanced, especially if they are tinted. On the other hand, if you want a more dramatic effect, choose a water-based mascara.
Avoid waterproof mascara as it's more difficult to remove. The more you touch your lashes, the more the lash lift curl will be damaged. If you want your lash lift to last as long as possible, water-based mascaras are the way to go.
Other Ways to Make Lash Lifts Last Longer
The best way to make them last is doing proper aftercare. Fortunately, they are pretty low-maintenance. You do not have to purchase anything to make the results last longer. You just have to take care of your newly lifted eyelashes properly. With proper aftercare, the curl can last up to 6 to 8 weeks.
Here are some of the most important things you must remember in the first 24-48 hours after treatment:
Don't get your lashes wet
Avoid rubbing your eyes - be as gentle as possible
Don’t use harsh products around your eyes & lashes
Using a steam room can weaken the effect of the lift
No eye makeup
No underwater swimming
Avoid any other facial beauty treatments.
Keeping your lashes dry is essential. Think of when you get your hair permed - you do not get that wet for multiple days either. Follow the same thinking for your eyelashes as well.
Brush out your eyelashes to keep them from getting tangled. It will also boost the fluffiness. For this aftercare step, you can use mascara wands.

“Dress sexy” .
Jackson’s husky words echoed in my mind as I washed my body, making sure to shave, exfoliate and almost everything else in the book I could think of. I touched my skin making sure it was silky smooth to the touch before turning off the water and stepping out. The steam enveloped the room, making it a foggy maze to the door. I grabbed the dark colored towel off of the rack, wrapping the fluffy thick cotton around my body before I left the humid room, relishing in the cold air hitting my wet skin when I opened the door and stepped out into my room. In my immediate line of sight, I could see a broad back and shoulders going through my closet, carefully inspecting each article of clothing before pushing it aside and moving onto the next.
“I like the red” I heard his low, smooth voice speak as he inspected a dress I wore once to some high end fashion party Bambam dragged me to.
“It suits you” he mused.
That deep, melodic and smooth voice belonged to only one person. But how and when did he get in my room? How long was I in the shower for? It couldn't have been that long, could it? My mind was swirling with the bombardment of questions assaulting my conscious, the most prominent one being what the hell was going on.
“Jaebum?” At the call of his name he took his attention away from the dress and turned to me.
I could fully see how he was dressed now, a simple white button up, buttoned up to his elbows with black slacks on. It was simple, but with his accessories of the silver earrings and simple chain, adorning his neck, he made it gorgeous. Giving me a once over, his lips spread into a gorgeous breathtaking smile. He kept his hand on the smooth, silky fabric of the dress as he addressed me.
“Evening baby girl” he said in a smooth, polite voice.
The initial shock of Im Jaebum in my room, while I was naked no less, was staggering and highly difficult to get over to say the absolute least. He raised an eyebrow at my silence and I could see the smug glint in his eye. He was breath taking, it was almost impossible for me to take my eyes off of him. His dark hair was styled back and away from his forehead, giving me a view of his gorgeous features. He watched me as I watched him, silently egging me on to do something as I continued my ogling unabashedly. That was before my mind took me back to the reality of the situation; Until I was reminded of the questions that needed to be answered.
“What did Jimin tell you?” Finding my voice was difficult but to produce it was even worse.
My voice came out as a low whisper, slightly husky. He turned back to my closet, skimming through my clothes once more.
“Answer me” I demanded.
His hand stopped midway of moving the article of the clothing over to the next side so he could find something he deemed good enough as he looked at me over his shoulder.
“We’ve gone through this baby. Watch how you talk to me” his voice was cold, arousing and an absolute pleasure to my ears.
I stood, completely entranced, as he continued going through my clothes. He could say anything in that voice and I would automatically obey.
“Get ready, we have places to be”.
His melodic voice came across, commanding me to do as he asked. I watched him skeptically, waiting for him to turn back around and talk about exactly what it is he wanted me to do. Why was he even doing this at all? What was the endgame here? But, regardless of all questions, we both knew I was going to do as he said, regardless of what it was, evident by his continuation of going through my clothing and not even glancing my way again. I made slow movements to my vanity, sitting down silently. I lotioned my body carefully and slowly, legs and arms first as to keep the towel in place. As I made it to my neck and chest, Jaebum spoke up.
“So, Jackson huh?” his tone was light and teasing.
I felt my cheeks burn in embarrassment as I leaned my head down, somehow focused more on the lotion disappearing into my skin.
“Don't be shy beautiful. I already know it all. Jackson isn't exactly...subtle” He chuckled deeply.
My mind immediately catapulted me into the memory of about half an hour ago, his groans and pants filling my ears causing me to clench my thighs together and shift on the chair at my vanity as to relieve the pressure. I went through the various makeup brushes on my vanity, laying them out so I could begin to get dressed “sexily”. I primed my face before starting on my eyebrows just as Jaebum began to speak again.
“You're impatient, from what I've seen and from what Jackson said”.
I finished my eyebrows, opting to choose my words wisely, before carefully beginning to apply foundation as I spoke to him, keeping my face toward the mirror and attempting to keep calm as his words sparked a fire in me.
“I don't really know what you'd expect. I was being teased relentlessly by the seven of you almost all afternoon with no pay off. That's enough to make anyone impatient” my voice was level and I prided myself on that fact.
I seemed in control. Unfortunately, I was dealing with the master of calm, cool and collected while my apperance of being so was just a facade.
“That so? Well than it’d do you well to keep in mind that I’m not just anyone, hmm?”.
“I know that Jaebum” my response was immediate, my voice was low and honeyed, mostly because I was focused on contouring correctly.
He took a sharp intake of breath, causing me to look at him almost immediately. His back was to me but I could see it in the way his head was tilted back slightly and the way his fists were clenched at his sides that me saying his name sparked his need to dominate. I kept my smile as low key as possible, trying not to let it show that I loved knowing I had that effect on him.
“I like that. You saying my name, naked nonetheless” He paused to sigh.
“I just wish I was able to do something about it right now” his voice was low, sweet and seductive in ways that shouldn't be possible for a human.
I bit my lip to keep my tongue in check as I began to start on eyeshadow, going for neutral tones of tans, browns and muted golds as to compliment anything he would've picked for me to wear. I didn't want to provoke him right now if what Jackson said about Jimin having and idea was true. I knew Jimin and while, I didn’t have all the details, I knew that Park Jimin loved the idea of dramatics, the rush of adrenaline, the spotlight and, most of all, sensuality. Paired with the overachiever, golden maknae Jungkook and the theatrical ability to both entrance and ensnare of Taehyung, god knows I didn't want to go into whatever they had planned with a limp and sore throat.
“Babygirl, tell me something” he mused as I silently wondered just how much clothes did I have.
“Yes?” I began blending the neutral tones together neatly as he spoke.
“How much patience do you think I have?”.
I stopped momentarily, composing myself best I could before continuing blending.
“Probably a lot more than you actually have” I answered quietly and honestly.
He stayed quiet for a moment, not saying a word as I blended the eyeshadow out to my liking before picking up my gel liner and carefully beginning my sultry wings.
“I know how to handle myself. But because of that, people tend to forget the fact that I am human and that I do have a breaking point. Although, no one has reached that point yet” he paused to chuckle slightly before continuing.
“But you get what I'm saying to you, right?”.
I looked over at him, nodding dumbly until I realised that he couldn't see me and uttered a soft yes.
“That being said, I bet you’re wondering why am I telling you all of this?”.
I nearly ended up with a black line going down my cheek bone at the way his voice dropped an octave deliciously.
“Why is because I don't think you understand just how much I want you at my mercy” his voice a low, sexy rasp.
I licked my dry lips, swallowing deeply, before starting on the other wing, attempting to keep my composure when all I wanted to do was jump his bones.
I heard something being taken from the closet and tossed onto the bed before my drawers were being rummaged through.
“It's everything about you that draws me in baby. You have this” He inhaled, as if wanting to find the right word before beginning his next sentence, the first word an whoosh of breath.
“Arousing balance between docile little kitten and lioness”.
I looked up from my carefully drawn wings to see him sitting on my bed, forearms braced on his knees as he watched me. I held his gaze through the mirror, before shakily going for my tube of mascara. I carefully coated my lashes as he began to speak again.
“I used to think you switch between the two persona’s just to cause me grief. I mean, a grown man stroking his cock at least once a week to the thought of his name leaving your lips sweetly and fiercely is a bit ridiculous, yeah?”.
His slight pause barely gave me enough time to push the picture he had just painted for me away best I could but the effect was definitely still there.
“Somehow, I thought that you knew you were doing it to me” he chuckled.
I immediately turned to him, catching his eyes immediately.
“I didn’t, I swear” I spoke in a rush, making sure he knew I wasn't as cunning as he once thought.
He got up from his place from on my bed, and I followed him, tilting my head back just to watch him. He let one finger go under my chin, never breaking my gaze.
“I know that now beautiful. It's genuine and that makes it all the more sexy. Just to think” he threaded a hand through my damp curls tenderly.
“That one minute you could have those pretty pink lips wrapped around my cock obediently and the next”
He yanked on my hair, causing a groan to escape my lips, his voice lowering to a whisper as he leaned down.
“You're bent over taking what I give you without complaint because you can't control your tongue”.
He let his tongue dart out to wet his lips, watching me heatedly before he let out a ragged mix of a chuckle and a sigh, letting go of my curls and running a hand through his hair as he moved back toward my bed. I felt the wetness from between my legs drip onto the towel as I carefully applied my false lashes. This man was sin. He knew it and I knew it.  He was relatively quiet as I finished the look with highlight, the only sound being the low hum of his voice and song lyrics.
“If this is a sin a sin a sin, I will get the punishment For you, even though I lose everything everything everything I want you all of you yeah It’s not something that doesn’t make sense If this is a sin a sin a sin Oh everything”.
His words mixed with the low husky timber of his voice did nothing to calm my hormones. His dark, soulful voice made my body yearn for him in ways that would probably have me condemned by a priest but each one was insanely exciting. It was an absolute miracle that I finished my makeup with no consequences. After finishing with setting spray, I began to massage oil into my damp curls, making my curls more defined and ready to style. Just as I parted the long curly strands, he spoke again, breaking the calming yet sensual lyrics of the song.
“I like this one” he picked up a dress, picking it up and holding it in view of both of mirror and myself so he could gauge my reaction.
It was definitely something I could see myself wearing with him. It was  gorgeous, a deep dark navy blue that almost looked black in the light of the setting sun. It was a v neck, a sharp plunge that gave an amazing tease of my cleavage, spaghetti strapped with a silt up the side of my right thigh and no back. It was definitely something that appealed to Jaebum’s taste greatly; It accentuated my tattoo and my curves perfectly.
“I really can't wait to see how your ass looks in this. You have no idea what I’d give to be able to fuck you doggy style”.
I let out a low chuckle, not necessairly expecting those words to come out of Jaebum’s mouth, as I slicked my hair down and back, pulling the remaining curls into a mid ponytail that brushed my lower shoulders,
“You wouldn't have to do much”.
I began walking over to the bed, leaning down to look at the gorgeous dress that I, truthfully, don't remember buying in detail. Just as I bent over, hands grabbed my hips.
“Wha-”.
“Just...stay down for a minute” he cut me off with words of his own.
His voice was low and strained. I let myself relish in the power that came with knowing I made him feel like this. I gave a slow, tentative roll of my hips, pushing back onto his erection making him push down on small of my back, making my arch more prominent, while keeping one hand firmly on my hip. I felt him lean down and press a kiss to the beginning of the tattoo, causing me to whine, before he trailed his tongue up toward my ear, taking the shell of it between his teeth.
“I'm trying very fucking hard not to fuck you into a coma. So, please...please just stay fucking still. I'm being nice and saying please because I know if I command you to do anything, anything at all” he let a hand sneak down to cup my sex, causing me to buck into him with a low pitched moan.
“You’ll do whatever it is I ask and that won't end well for you. I'll say fuck everything, fuck Jimin's idea and fuck you well into tomorrow”.
I arched into him, pushing against him more aggressively now, causing him to hiss.
“I don't see anything wrong with that” I whispered huskily.
“Get dressed babygirl. Please. Daddy’s patience is wearing thin” he breathed, letting his head rest in the crook of my neck.
The title sparked such a hormonal need in me that it almost overtook my entire personality as I breathed out a “Yes daddy”.
“Shit. Just please go get fucking dressed. Please I'm going to get Mark” he left my side in a whoosh of air mixed with a few curses, leaving me a mix of proud and unsatisfied.
Before I could stop myself, I stopped him before he could leave the room with a call of his name. Before I could lose my boldness accompanied by my surge of confidence I dropped my towel, still facing away from him.
“I'll see you later daddy” I purred.
“I swear the minute we’re alone you're fucked” he hissed with no real malice.
I only giggled at his response as I slid the dark colored panties up my legs. I could tell he left when there was silence in the room once again. I found myself vaguely humming the song Jaebum was only minutes ago as I slid into the dress, realizing that it stopped jut above my knee. I smoothed out the minimal creases in them before walking over to the perfect heels that could accompany the look. I found the gorgeous gold toned, bedazzled heels that matched my makeup perfectly. Slipping on the stilettos, I felt someone hold my hips.
“And just what did you do to Jaebum?”.
I leaned back into Mark's touch, straightening my back and letting my head fall back onto his shoulder.
“I have no idea what you're talking about”.
I practically purred at the feeling of Mark behind me. Jackson’s earlier touch left me on a high, craving more and more of the boys with each passing minute. With each minute my shyness fades and my confidence skyrockets, causing me to just simply enjoy the rush and do what comes natural.
“Mark”.
It was a simple one syllable word that held so much longing and want it could be borderline embarrassing. He wrapped an arm around my waist, pulling me into him with a very low and drawn out “yes”. I turned in his arms, easily wrapping my arms around his neck because of the heels, and dipping my head down to kiss the side of his neck. He let out a low hum of satisfaction before pulling me closer to him.
“What did you do to Jaebum?” He asked again in a low tone of voice.
I pulled back, letting my fingers tangle in the hair at the nape of his neck.
“Nothing”.
“Really?” He asked in a low, teasing tone that told me that he obviously didn’t believe me.
He gave me a gorgeous smile, showcasing his perfect teeth, before leaning down so we were nose to nose.At this angle I could see his gorgeous form in a black button up shirt that highlighted his toned stomach and chest with black pants to match.
“I call bullshit” he whispered against my lips.
I didn't break eye contact with him as I slowly moved closer to his lips with all intention to kiss him.
“Guys” we both turned our head to see Bambam entering the room, who seemingly ruined the mood, until I saw what he was wearing.
A gorgeous dark grey suit jacket with a simple black shirt underneath with black pants to match his shirt. The one silver cross earring complemented his look gorgeously and made it impossible not to stare at him.
“We’ve got to go”.
His words caused me to look up at his face, adorned with a smirk, before I Mark was tugging me toward the door. As they rushed me to the front door, I was more than surprised to see Jungkook standing there, hands crossed and looking as formal as the others, and just as gorgeous, in head to toe black. I fought the urge to blush at the way his eyes roved over my form.
He only nodded to Mark and Bambam leaving the house but stopped me as I tried to, effectively blocking my view from what was outside.
“Kookie” I said in a warning tone which probably didn't do much seeing as I was still a few inches shy of his height even with the heels on.
He looked down at me with a cute bunny smile that almost threw me off.
“Just what the hell are you and Jimin plotting” I asked cautiously, determined to get an answer.
He simply shook his head as a response.
“Jungkook”.
This time, he simply ignored the calling of his name as he leaned lower, sneaking an arm around my waist and pulling me into a hug with his hand on the small of my back. I sighed, leaning against his chest in a short hug.
“Don't ask questions” he spoke lowly, before letting go of me, stepping aside and gesturing me out in front of the house.
In the light of the sun, which was quickly disappearing behind the horizons, I could  see Jimin standing there in all his smug faced glory with Taehyung by his side. That's when I noticed that behind the two were 7, identical cars all parked in the in front of the house. Jimin’s smirk turned sexy with his eyebrows furrowing over his eyes as he noticed my expression change to absolute surprise. I heard the door close behind me, courtesy of Jungkook, as I walked down the staircase to Jimin and Taehyung. I was rendered absolutely speechless, much to Jimin's delight. The car windows were tinted to such an extent that I couldn’t see who was in which car.
“Pick one”.
At Jimin’s command, I looked up at him.
“What did you tell them?”.
He simply shook his, smirk still present, and repeated his command, this time with a wave of his hand.
“Jimin” I said his name in a low warning tone, causing Taehyung to step in.
He walked toward me, decked out in almost all Gucci, being the fashion icon he was. He took my hand and pulled it so that I interlocked arms with him as he began a leisurely stroll toward the cars.
“Do you trust us?” He asked in his low, baritone voice.
I wasn't going to be so easily deterred so I interrupted him, asking once again what they told him. But Taehyung shushed me, turning me to face him, quickly scanning my outfit to which nodded his approval.
“Do you trust us?” he repeated, eyes staring directly into mine.
I could see the innocent gleam in Taehyung’s eyes letting me know he was being absolutely genuine and wanted me to do the same. I sighed in a resigned manner and nodded my head yes. His face broke out into a huge boxy grin as he then turned to face toward and gestured toward the cars.
“Pick one doll”.
I looked back and forth between the cars, hoping that at least one would give some type of subtle indication of who was inside. But alas, I was met with identical, tinted windows.
“The 4th one”.
As I turned to survey the reactions, I noticed that Jimin’s smirk grew as Jungkook’s expression fell.
“You owe me motherfucking money!” Jimin squealed as Jungkook groaned at his hyung’s antics.
“You couldn't have picked 7? Goddamnit” He whined as he dug into his pocket and handed Jimin a few bills, which he snatched up happily before coming over to me.
He wrapped an arm around my shoulder, walking me over to the 4th car in a hurried manner and opening the door for me.
“Your carriage awaits princess” Jimin said in a regal tone.
I vaguely wondered aloud where in hell's name did they get the money for this, prompting Taehyung to chuckle and respond with something along the lines of “his irresistible charm” causing me to promptly roll my eyes. As I ducked down to enter the car, there in all of his gorgeous glory with dark hair combed back and styled messily away from his forehead was Mark Tuan. He bit his lip, effectively concealing a smile as he held out a hand to help me get in.
“So you chose me?”.
I slid in the seat next to him as Mark signaled for the driver to go ahead and begin driving. He inhaled sharply, wrapping an arm around my waist and pulling me into him as he let out a breathy laugh.
“Ah, Yugyeom is going to be so pissed”.
I turned to look at him because of that statement and he only gave me a smirk in response.
“For what?” the question passed my lups before I could stop it.
This caused Mark to laugh before politely ordering for the partition to be up. I felt an immediate surge of excitement and fear as the partition slid into place. He lifted me swiftly from my place next to him, to straddling his lap, his hands resting on the tops of my thighs.
“Now, before I finish what I started” He paused to sit up straight, causing his face to be up close and personal with my chest. He gave a slow, sensual kiss to the the slope of my breast, followed by a gentle bite causing me to let out a low whimper.
“Shh, quiet beautiful. We can't be very loud” he whispered as he locked eyes with me.
“As I was saying, Yugyeom doesn't like to share. Being the youngest of us all, I don't necessarily expect him too. But” He took a prominent pause, letting his fingers slipped smoothly under the hem of my dress, dancing across the skin of my mid thigh.
“When it comes to you, he has more problems sharing than usual. Do you know why I was between your legs earlier, other than to tease you?” his voice was low, sensual and comparable to honey; thick and sweet.
When I didn't answer him, he nuzzled his face in my neck and pulled me down by my hips so I was flush against him.
“Because Yugyeom didn't like that” he licked the skin of my neck slowly, causing my head to loll back as I let him work me how he wanted.
“So why do it?” I asked, my voice barely above a whisper.
He let out an adorable chuckle before wrapping his arms around my waist, pulling me into a hug.
“I can't answer that right now baby, but what I can do” In a display of agility and, with relative ease, he had me on my back and against the seat with him in between my legs.
But despite how close he was, he was so far, seeing as he wasn't even touching me but above me in a push-up position.
“Is show you a few things I can do with my teeth”.

Ladies Tell Us What It's Like living with Eyelash Extensions for Over 6 Years
Tumblr media Tumblr media
There are those who dabble in eyelash extensions, perhaps trying them once for a special occasion, like a big vacation or wedding, and then there are those for whom extension fills are commonplace, such as a standing manicure or blowout appointment. Sure, it costs roughly $250 to get your first set and another $80 or so every refill (in Los Angeles, at least), but to some, it's worth it. There are those out there who haven't let the world see their natural lashes for five years or more. And it's these folks, in particular, who likely have the best eyelash extension tips. What is it really like to have eyelash extensions for years, you ask? Does it ruin your natural lashes? Does it boost your confidence? Why keep up with it for so long? To answer all your most burning questions about eyelash extensions, we found four real people who fall squarely into the devotee camp. Keep scrolling for each of their stories and all of their best eyelash extension tips. Story No. 1
Tumblr media
Name: Adriana Age: Pass. Haha! How many years have you had eyelash extensions? Six years. How often do you get them filled? It depends on the person who does them, but anywhere between 10 days and three weeks. What makes them worth it to you, time-wise, financially, and in general? I never really wore that much makeup to begin with, so it hasn't really cut my makeup routine in half or anything. Also, it's an additional service; it isn't a necessary one. But what makes it worth it to me is that it is what I want, and I am happier knowing that I have an amazing full set of lashes. I get compliments on my lashes a lot, and that helps make it worth it to me. How has having eyelash extensions changed you (confidence, beauty routine, etc.)? I wake up and never have to worry about putting on makeup. Of course, if I go out, I may have to add some eyeliner and lip gloss, but I don't worry about having raccoon eyes with mascara or my eyelashes falling off with strips. It's definitely boosted my confidence with the fact alone that no matter what, I always have long, full eyelashes that make my eyes pop. What's your favorite part about them? I'm Chinese, and … I want bigger eyes. I feel like the dramatic effect the eyelash extensions bring to my eyes makes my eyes always a focal point. I can wake up next to my guy and just bat my eyelashes knowing that I look good! Have they changed your natural lashes? Have they had any negative impacts on your natural lashes, their growth pattern, etc.? It really depends on who has done them. I've had some girls that did so many clusters that I lost chunks of my eyelashes and would pray, Oh god, please let them grow back! When I go to the right people, I don't notice anything negative. Forever might be a strong word, but do you plan to have them indefinitely? I'd like to. I mean, I don't know if I will be in my 60s really concerned with having long, luscious lashes every day. Haha! But I see it for the next 10 to 15 years. Do you recommend lashes to any beginners thinking about trying them? I do, but I also recommend they find someone who is good and not try to get the best deal just to get them, because you will notice a difference, and the quality is what matters the most with this service.
Tumblr media
Story No. 2 Name: Nicole Age: 47 How many years have you had eyelash extensions? More than eight years. How often do you get them filled? Every three to four weeks. What makes them worth it to you, time-wise, financially, and just in general? They are so worth it to me because they look amazing all the time. You can just put on lip gloss and go if that's all you want or have the time to do. How has having eyelash extensions changed you (confidence, beauty routine, etc.)? I feel like I look pretty all the time. They just open up your whole face; you smile with your eyes too, not just your mouth. I get so many compliments from people who say that my lashes are so beautiful, and they don't even know that they are extensions until I tell them. What's your favorite part about them? They are simple and easy. So pretty and look so natural, and you cannot see any clumps of glue or anything like that. Have they changed your natural lashes? Have they had any negative impacts on your natural lashes, their growth pattern, etc.? No. I think people always say that their lashes were so thin and short after they took them off, implying that the lash extensions did something to change their own lashes, but if you have been wearing extensions for some time, you may tend to think that your own natural lashes were that amazing, long, and thick when in fact they did not change and are still the same as before. Forever might be a strong word, but do you plan to have them indefinitely? Oh yes! I love them! Do you recommend lashes to any beginners thinking about trying them? Yes, I recommend going to a Certified Lash artist. Even if you don't plan on keeping them, giving them a try just may make you change your mind. Story No. 3
Tumblr media
Name: Angela Age: 36 How many years have you had eyelash extensions? On and off 10 years, mostly on the past six years. How often do you get them filled? I try to get them filled every two weeks, three weeks tops. Having a full, lush set of lashes enhances my eyes so much that I try to stay on top of my fills. If I have an event or something special I am attending, I make sure to see My lash artist for a fill before. It is now on the checklist, such as getting a mani-pedi, a blowout, etc. What makes them worth it to you, time-wise, financially, just in general? How much the lashes enhance my eyes—and their natural beauty—makes them worth it to me. The lash extensions open my eyes up and make them look brighter and more awake. Also, I save money on mascara and the whole process of curling my lashes. Another bonus is that I do not have to deal with the messiness of applying fake eyelashes or the potential disaster of a strip of lashes falling off during partying or any other fun activity. How has having eyelash extensions changed you (confidence, beauty routine, etc.)? It is funny to say aloud, but honestly, they simply make me feel prettier. They have such a dramatic impact on a person's eyes and face—the eyes are an important feature on any person. Plus, having great eyelash extensions cuts down on time spent primping. If my eyes look bright and awake and great, I feel great and am 90% ready to head out. What's your favorite part about them? The way My Lash artist frames them around my eye and blends them with my own lashes creates a very natural look. It is like having the eyelashes you wish you were born with in real life every day. Also, I like their permanence—they survive many showers, swimming, etc. And I really love not needing mascara and not having to remove mascara at the end of the day. Have they changed your natural lashes? Have they had any negative impacts on your natural lashes, their growth pattern, etc.? It has been so long that I have had them; it is hard to tell. Forever might be a strong word, but do you plan to have them indefinitely? For now, I plan to have them and could not imagine not having them. Do you recommend lashes to any beginners thinking about trying them? I would recommend them, but it depends a lot on the person applying them. I recommend that a person does a lot of research about the technician who will apply them before getting it done. Eyelash extensions are not something a person should have done on a whim in the back of a nail salon—definitely research and get referrals and go to a professional. Story No. 4
Tumblr media
Name: Megan Age: 27 How many years have you had eyelash extensions? Seven years. How often do you get them filled? Every two to three weeks. What makes them worth it to you, time-wise, financially, and just in general? I don't have to wear any eye makeup on a daily basis, and I love waking up feeling beautiful. I'm also very active, and I love that I can work out and sweat and I don't ever need mascara again! How has having eyelash extensions changed you (confidence, beauty routine, etc.)? It has made me feel more comfortable to be without makeup and feel natural on a daily basis. Everywhere I go, I get compliments on my eyes and lashes, even when I'm in sweatpants and have no makeup on. It makes me feel really good. What's your favorite part about them? I love having that "kitten look" to my eyes. They create a dark, plush lash line that is really sexy, but I also feel natural at the same time. I love that they don't look like strip lashes, and no one can ever tell that they're fake! Have they changed your natural lashes? Have they had any negative impacts on your natural lashes, their growth pattern, etc.? No, I still have many natural lashes and am able to get the extensions super full. Forever might be a strong word, but do you plan to have them indefinitely? Yes! Do you recommend lashes to any beginners thinking about trying them? Yes! I recommend them to anyone and everyone of all ages! It's the best thing ever! Forever . Eyelash Extension Tips From an Expert Interested in lash extensions or currently have them? We got tips from certified lash expert for keeping your lashes healthy and intact: 1. Make sure to brush through them after you wash your face/shower. Brushing them is key to keeping them from tangling and getting stuck together. 2. Don't be afraid to get them wet. Depending on what type of glue your artist uses (I like anything waterproof), you can get your lashes wet. Getting them wet also helps to keep them clean! 3. Avoid rubbing and tugging on the lashes. This is definitely one of the hardest ones, coming from someone who is constantly rubbing her eyes. I like to keep allergy eye drops with me to relieve any itchiness I may feel. 4. Avoid sleeping on your face, and use a silk or satin pillowcase. Sleeping on your face will definitely affect the length of time your lashes stay on, and a traditional cotton pillowcase can cause the lashes to get caught, inducing more wear and tear. So switch to silk or satin pillowcases (they're better for your hair and skin, too!). This post was written on birdie by Erin Jahns. Read the full article

Your mascara choice should depend on your eye sensitivity, how thick your natural lashes are, and what kind of look you are after.
To help you make the best decision, we have put together a list of some of our favorite mascaras available right now, in 2019.
There are some pros and cons to all of them, but any of these mascaras would be a great, affordable addition to your normal makeup routine.
How to decide what is the best mascara to buy?
If you’re trying to do a little digging on all the mascaras out there, prepare to be a little bit overwhelmed.
There are far more factors than you might think to consider, including color, curl, volume, length, application, etc. But here are some starting points to help you narrow down some contenders to purchase.
Formula: Just like with the foods you eat, make sure you check the ingredients in your mascara. Avoid any allergens, and seek out a mild formula that won’t upset your eyes or skin, especially if you’re dealing with sensitive skin.
Wand: We mentioned the application above, but most people underestimate how important the wand is to the functionality of a mascara. Do a little research to find out which type of wand gives your lashes your desired look, and focus your search there.
Lash Type: To help you determine which formula or wand works best, it’s important to know what type of lashes you actually have. It seems simple, but take a good look in the mirror and figure out whether your eyelashes are full or more sparse, shorter or longer, or straight versus curly. That way, you can seek out what qualities are most important to you.
What is the best smudge proof mascara?
Coming home to look in the mirror and find dark smudgy circles under your eyes can be so frustrating, so cosmetics companies have done their best to fight that problem with smudge-proof mascaras.
Now, this shouldn't be confused with waterproof mascaras. Some formulas can do both, but not all smudge-proof mascaras can be considered waterproof.
Smudge-proof mascaras are designed to resist oil and humidity. There are great formulas out there, some from the drug store, and some a little pricier (see those natural, organic mascara tubes?).
Some of our favorite smudge-proof mascaras include the Best 3D Fiber Lash Mascara by Simply Naked Beauty and Covergirl’s LashBlast Volume Mascara.
What is the best water & sweat-proof mascara?
To avoid that smudgy, oily look - there’s a couple of great mascaras out there you can try. First, bareMinerals Lash Domination.
It will stay put until you take your make up remover to it at the end of the day. It’s waterproof as well, so it’s strong and long-lasting.
Another one of our favorites? 3D fiber mascara from Mia Adora uses a 3-step formula that has some serious staying power.
It’s got great reviews from women who swear by that formula, and its thick, bristly wand. No flakes and no smudges.
Just remember, for either of these mascaras, you’ll need an effective makeup remover (that’s still gentle on your skin of course.)
Why does my mascara always smudge?
One of the main culprits of the dreaded smudge is oil. So there are a few ways to combat this common beauty debacle. First, blot: blotting papers are inexpensive and can help you keep oil in check.
We also recommend eye primer because, yes, even your eyelids can get oily. Otherwise, make sure to keep other products like moisturizers away from those eyes
How can I make my mascara last longer?
There are some successful hacks out there to improve the wear and longevity of your mascara.
During use, try to limit the amount of air in the tube; that means limiting pumping the wand in and out and making sure to close tightly after each use.
If your mascara is getting low or drying out, try adding a few drops of saline solution to revive the formula. Even eyedrops can work for this inexpensive hack.
1. [Overall Best Mascara] Mia Adora 3D Fiber Lash Mascara
Editor's Rating:
4.0/5
This 3D fiber mascara from Mia Adora is one of our favorites for its awesome volumizing power.
Using natural, stimulating ingredients, it actually helps to boost thin, sparse lashes over time. It looks great while you are wearing it, plus it helps to improve the look of your bare lashes.
Unlike a lot of other mascaras, this is a three-step process for longer, healthier eyelashes. That might be a downside for some people who like a quicker routine.
But it doesn’t actually take too long: just apply the mascara, then the wet magnifying gel, and then the mascara again for stunning dramatic lashes.
The best part? This volumizing mascara is paraben-free and safe to use with contacts. It will not hurt sensitive eyes.

2. [Best for the Money] 2 Step Mascara by L'Oréal Paris
Editor's Rating:
4.1/5
L’Oreal Paris’s 2-step mascara is a high-quality volumizing mascara in a double-sided tube. It gives you long, luxurious lashes that will last all day, and comes at a super affordable price.
One side of the mascara tube is a nourishing eyelash primer, that will make your eyelashes appear thicker and longer before you apply the mascara.
This is a smudge-proof, waterproof mascara that you can wear all day – it is guaranteed to last up to 16 hours, even in hot, humid conditions.
You don’t have to worry about rubbing your eyes and accidentally smearing your mascara.
Lashes can look up to 80% longer with this 2 step mascara than without it. Unfortunately, it is not formulated to support lash growth, but it is not harmful to your lashes either – it won't lead to breaking or thinner lashes over time, as some cheaper brands can.
L’Oreal Paris is a well-trusted brand, and this is one of their more affordable quality mascaras. Not only does it come at a low price, but it will last a long time – as long as three to four months of everyday wear.

How to Wear Your 25mm big Eyelashes Better?
Do you want to make your eyelashes thicker or have charming eyes? The answer is YES.
As our 25mm big eyelashes become more and more popular, many fans have sent emails asking how to wear large eyelashes naturally and nicely, and will keep all day long?
The natural thick 3D Mink 25mm large eyelashes are thick black, which will appear thicker after wearing and more contrasting. The natural effect comes from the small lashes that are arranged in a long and short staggered arrangement. The transition between the eyes and the end of the eye is beautiful, making the product more realistic.
The first is to find the perfect 25mm large mink eyelashes that belong to you. Large eyelashes come in a variety of styles, natural, dramatic and serious. Choosing the false eyelashes with short sides and long sides will make you look more lovely and intimate, perfect for dating.
Due to the hand-made, some 25mm large eyelashes have a slightly asymmetrical aesthetic to deliberately create the natural feel of false eyelashes. In addition, these false eyelashes are selected from natural hairs, and the detailed root design can be bent with the eye shape to naturally blend with the true eyelashes.
It is very important to bend your own eyelash curler with the eyelash curler before you wear the 25mm large eyelashes. Keep the lash root clip as close as possible, and in order to achieve the best results, you need to clip 2-3 times in the same place.
Next, apply glue to the 25mm large eyelashes, preferably from the sides to the middle, and then let the glue dry on it for 1 minute or 1 minute and a half before wearing, so that the glue is more sticky.
Once you have worn the 25mm big eyelashes, you can finally brush the mascara again, so that your own eyelashes and 25mm large eyelashes look more consistent and more natural. In this way, a professional natural false eyelash is worn, have you learned?

City Lash: Lash Growing Serum That Really Works
Before I started reviewing eyelash growth enhancing serums I didn’t really know much about how things work with lashes and mascara, and I didn’t know there are consequences of using it until my lashes started breaking. One morning I literally just woke up to my lashless eyes and knew I had to do something so I don’t end up wearing extensions my entire life.
City Lash Serum Story
The number one mistake I did was going to sleep with mascara on and putting a new layer in the morning. This is a big no-no you should take from someone who did it all and tried everything. Even if I used good (read: expensive) mascara, they didn’t have that full lush look as they used to.
That being said, in my quest for a little bit of help in renewing my long-lost lashes, I stumbled upon many products, some better than others, but still not providing with the wanted results. Then I read many positive reviews on the City Lash Serum so I decided to give it a go. This is a serum that has powerful growth enhancing features designed to deliver dramatically full and lush lashes. As I read experiences, it is clinically proven to provide a longer, fuller-looking lash line. City Lash improves the appearance of the natural lash length, thickness, density, and fullness.
City Lash Serum Ingredients:
It is really important to get to know the product you are using, what it is made of. This can mean better health for your skin and you’ll be risk-free of allergies and skin irritations. For me, when choosing the City Lash it was crucial that its effective formula didn’t contain any parabens nor chemicals that only cause skin or eyes discoloration and harm the environment.
Namely, this product has all-natural peptides that provoke the skin to produce keratin by itself and regenerate dead cells. The Myristoyl Pentapeptide-17 they use is the best ingredient available for growing thicker, sexier lashes. It is completely safe, and will not cause negative side effects like skin discoloration or unwanted hair growth. What’s even better is that it hasn’t been tested on animals and is as safe for the environment, as it is for you.
How To Use City Lash?
I strongly believe that if you are in a similar position as I was, having damaged lashes, then you should take a break from any makeup at least for 10 days and use this serum twice a day – morning and night. This is crucial in the beginning to just speed up the results and boost the growth. Afterwards, when you see improvements I suggest using it in the morning as a primer before the mascara and then at night, having all the makeup removed and applying on clean eyes, letting it dry and going to bed with it.
With this, I can guarantee excellent results in less than a month time.
Women who used it report 40% stronger, thicker and longer eyelashes in just 4 weeks. It can’t get any better!
Can you use it on your eyebrows?
Although I personally haven’t used it this way, the answer is Yes! City Lash has also been proven to be effective at supporting eyebrow growth and the same results apply. The growth cycle for your eyebrows averages 40 days for most women and results you experience for your eyebrows will be very similar to those you experience with your eyelashes requiring about the same time frame.
In comparison to some other lash growing serums I have used before, I really like that is doesn’t smear and clump on your eyelids. This is because City Lash is an eyelash enhancer and not a cosmetic, it will be absorbed by the skin and used to promote thicker eyelash growth. Although it can be worn with mascara, City Lash is not a mascara itself, and as a result, does not suffer the same limitations of traditional eye makeup.
Where To Buy The City Lash Serum?
Currently, it is unavailable on Amazon, but you can purchase it from their official website and on Sephora too. The prices vary from $45 to $50 depending on where and when you buy the serum.
City Lash Serum Before And After Photos:
After using it myself I asked some customers to review it for me and send shots of their results so you can know what to expect.
City Lash Serum Reviews:
“I am 56 and have noticed for several years that my eyelashes were thinning and I would occasionally have a “space.” I used City Lash for a little over 3 weeks and noticed the lashes were filling in and grew to be much longer. It was very east to use and I am happy with my results and have purchased a second City Lash to maintain my new lashes…oh…and my eyes are still blue!”
Linda
“I had lost most of my lashes and was wearing false lashes when I had to socialize. I asked my Ophthalmologist for a prescription and he preferred I try this product first. I am so glad he knew what was best!
I had to be patient as I saw no change in the first 4 weeks. By 8 weeks I had very soft, hardly noticeable lashes. BUT by week 12!!! —I had lashes and lots of them! I had something to use mascara on! If I use City Lash faithfully I have plenty of long, wonderful lashes. I am grateful every day for this product. I recommend it to anyone willing to listen
Tumblr media
AND I hope to never be without my City Lash.”
Wally
“Persuasive reviews on the internet typically I find useless since negative opinions fail to measure any sort of reasoning what so ever. After I purchased the eye lash enhancer on a whim and receiving the item within 3 days (stunning service) I set out to follow the instructions by applying twice daily.
In the last part of week #3 and the liquid actually succeeds in making the lashes healthier and they are growing thicker, longer. Use care not to splash into your eyes, follow the video and BE PATIENT please.
I’m 61 years old and I am a believer. I do not spend any time at the department store cosmetics counter.”
Wendy
“This product works and does not affect my eye color!
My eyelashes and brows have been sparse for years and recently my eyelashes began falling off/breaking. I had patches of the area on my eyelids where there were no eyelashes at all. I have used this product for a little over a month and there is a SIGNIFICANT difference in the length and fullness of my brows and eyelashes. Placing a second order!”

2016 Beauty Favorites. Oh hey!! It’s Deb. ‘member me?!?
Apologies for being M.I.A. on the blog. Work, RIACW restrategizing and new projects kept me away from you, my beloved Rosedolls. I’ve been so busy these past couple of months and I don’t think things plan on slowing down anytime soon. I’ll just have to learn to handle my time better ;)
The reason why I didn’t post monthly faves this past year is because I had to use up the products that I share with you. That is why they’re my preferred items after all! Yet as we enter the few days of the year I thought I would compile the bits I haven’t been able to put down in 2016. Let’s get started, shall we?! We shall.
When I tried Kat Von D’s Everlasting liquid lipstick it was love at first swipe. This lip paint applies smoothly and creamy but dries matte, making my lips feel unexpectedly velvety given its subdued nature. The formula, finish and feel are not drying at all. It is so light that I catch myself checking if I still have it on! That’s how comfortable it is on the lips. The shade I have is Lolita, a chestnut, (terra cotta) rose. This puppy is particularly opaque, pigmented and long lasting. One slap will do but it is very buildable.
The Photo Finish primer water from Smashbox took me from skeptical to believer. I purchased a trial size at Sephora and plan to buy the full size once I use this baby up. I love how it prolongs my whip up wear. As opposed to its suggested name I apply it as a setting spray rather than on my bare face prior to my makeup. It makes a fabulous finish for whatever I apply on, be it a bb cream, a concealer or a foundation. Its perfect mist provides a diffuse effect all over my face. Moreover, it is a lovely “wake up” spritz that feels so nice and refreshing, thanks to its lightweight formula.
It’s never too early to use anti-aging products. We all know that it’s easier to prevent than trying to reverse skin aging signs. I am on a mission to outsmart aging by using tightening, lifting and firming items. I like to apply the *Lotus Aroma Anti-Aging day-night firming cream night right after my serum. It is specially formulated to rejuvenate skin and visibly intensify its radiance. Its Alpine rose-marine fennel extracts and baobab-moringa-acai berry oils concoction helps fight the 👀 wrinkles and other aging signs (fine lines, spots, leathery skin..ugh🚫✋🏾) Moreover, I really love its fresh, clean and fruity aroma (!) This formula is utterly rich and creamy but not thick. Plus it sinks in to my skin rather quickly, which is great for my morning routine! It might not be the best for my oily skin but I’ve already reaped the smoothing benefits. Therefore I will keep incorporating this babe into my regimen. It leaves my face visage feeling hydrated, soft and supple. My skin texture is much smoother and I owe it all to this puppy.
Too Faced’s Better than $€* mascara is on my beauty guest list as top shelf status. I bought this guy off of YouTube peer pressure. Now, I can’t work with any other rimmel. It’s great for a natural look and can be easily built to great volume and length for a more dramatic look. A few brush strokes of this collagen-fueled formula will do ya. One coat and lashes are full, defined and stretched to unbelievable lengths. Two coats and they’re reaching unbelievable heights of drama. The formula doesn’t smudge. The color is one the richest, deepest, most intense black I’ve ever owned. It gives me such voluminous, longer lashes. The itty bitty lash committee member that I am really appreciates. This is by far the best high end mascara I’ve come across. Once you use this, you can’t go back.
*The Estée Edit Pore Vanishing Stick by Estée Lauder is basically perfect skin in a portable rod format. No muss. No fuss. Blotting paper? Not needed. Setting powder for retouch? Bye. Oil peaking through your makeup? See you later! What I like about this bad boy is that it is so light. It doesn’t feel tacky or silicon-y. I roll it around my face and pat it up with my ring finger, insisting on my cheeks where my horrible crevices inhabit. Not only does this work as a primer, it prolongs my foundation and makes everything else that’s on top look less cakey. It glides on smoothly and gives a fresh, invisible pore look either in the bathroom (before applying makeup) or on-the-go (throughout the day). It can be worn alone, under and over my beat. It literally gives me an airbrushed look. This is an absolute dream, an oil slick’s best friend!
The *Terracotta Pause d'Été bronzing powder duo for face and décolleté from Guerlain is the most intense highlight in my collection. I was fortunate enough to snag one off of the Summer by Terracotta limited edition range, a meticulously curated selection of beauty must-haves. To start, the polished wood packaging is absolutely stunning. The inside of the cap contains a sizeable mirror, making application quick and easy. I found myself heavily reaching for it this past sunny season. It was ideal for that I-can-see-you-from-out-of-space shimmer effect I cherish so much. The finish has a bronzy, copper-y undertone that suits my skin tone perfectly. I just swirl my brush around and that’s when the magic happens. The formulation is not too glittery. The application goes on oh so smoothly. It’s not patchy nor is it chunky. It doesn’t fade like most of my cheek products. It stays on all day and curiously looks better as it blends in with my natural oils. My only downside is that it has a strong perfume-y scent of iris and warm sweet white musks. I must say it is quite overpowering. It is not for everyone but thankfully (depending on one’s preference) it easily dissipates.
Mary Kay’s oil free eye makeup remover is an absolute must when it comes to my nighttime routine. It quickly dissolves the oils contained in my makeup and loosens it in order to discard it from the skin more efficiently. Love this product. it doesn’t leave any oily film. It is very gentle but don’t be fooled: this guy wipes away EVERYTHING: any trace of liner, shadows, mascara, brow products.. YOU NAME IT! And you don’t need an obscene amount or a lot of effort; a couple of drops for each eye does the trick, and just a gentle swipe will get it all off. This just works really effectively and quickly. A top-shelve product in my book. Finally, an eraser that works without having to tug or pull. I love this puppy so much and you can get a chance to beauty test it for yourself! Details on the official RIACW *Facebook* page. Check out the highlighted post ;)
When it comes to oily skin, the reflex to combat it is to stay away from oleagin infused products. The reality is, this is the actual opposite. A greasy skin needs more moisture. Yes, you read me right. Us grease ball girls need to put that back in to our face because our skin is thinking that it’s not getting enough. So it produces more and more oil. I’ve been experiencing less breakout since using the precleanse cleansing oil from Dermalogica . I love it because it doesn’t have a particular smell and most importantly, it doesn’t hurt my eyes. This is my next step in makeup removal after MK. I just drop a few pumps onto a cotton round and gently work it onto my face or I directly apply it to my dry face, massage it and watch the makeup dissolve. I then follow up with my usual skincare regimen. It breaks down my face beat in an instant and gives me the oil benefits that my slick face needs. Two skincare functions in one? Doesn’t get any better than that!
Hand cream is a handbag staple of mine. At first I was intrigued by this EOS perfume-looking package until I discovered its content. This Evolution of Smooth (EOS) hand lotion is phenomenal. For me it was all about that cream’s refreshing essences. The one I got, Berry Blossom, is a soft, delicate blooms and sweet fruits composite. Plus I truly enjoy its non-greasy composition. This travel-friendly companion is packed with nourishing shea butter, aloe, oats and antioxidants to help keep my hands soft and smooth. I am not quite sure it holds up to its 24-hour moisture claim but I sure appreciate its fast-absorbing properties. It may not be as thick or rich in texture as I wish it could be but hey, it said hand lotion after all..
Biotherm's Biosource hydra-mineral toning mousse is an absolute dream of a cleanser. This fella contains a complex of 70 minerals and balancing zinc to cleanse and soften normal to combination skin (even though mine is on the oily side of the spectrum) without drying it. I love its foamy texture. It is very pleasant on my face. I put a small grape size amount and apply it to my wet face in a circular motion before rinsing. When in contact with water, it turns into a light, silky mousse. It gently removes daily dirt and gunk. Immediately, my face feels fresh, firm and comfortable.
The Maximum Growth cuticle pen by Sally Hansen is the best invention since sliced bread for a (clumsy) nails fanatic like yours truly. This is a moisture treatment that nourishes dry and rough claws. It contains aloe as well as vitamins E, A, C and Pro Vitamin B5, which helps promote healthy nail boost. I love its mess-free package and its subtle almond oil scent. I did notice that it helps my mani last longer and keeps the chipping at bay. This bad boy simultaneously moisturizes and strengthens my rough cuticles. I get the best of both worlds!
When I saw Sally Hansen’s Insta-dry ’Re-teal Therapy’ from afar in the drugstore aisle I couldn’t help but to take it home with me. This petrol, turquoise color is absolutely dreamy! I’ve used and abused this guy during the last leg of the summer. It is the perfect season transitional shade. Moreover, it is fast-drying, it doesn’t chip nor crackle. The brush is nice and wide. It gives me an even, creamy and beautiful coverage so I don’t get any streaking. No waste of time or product here! Only one coat will do ya thanks to its rich, pigment-fueled finish. I like to go in with a top coat for a luster texture but it has an outstanding shine payoff by itself.
Being a skin rejuvenator, this Glycolic Peel mask from Caudalie wonderfully addresses dull complexion. Its creamy consistency remarkably penetrates my skin and deeply purifies it from impurities. Either freshly out of bed or before going out, it transforms my skin and effectively revitalizes it without irritating it. In just 10 minutes, this 85.7% natural ingredients pick-me-up works like a charm and leaves me feeling like I have a brand new skin after using it.
The Vanilla CollectOR shimmering body lotion from Yves Rocher is the ultimate body highlighter. I absolutely love the feel on my skin and it leaves a nice glimmer, thanks to its tiny little flecks of gold. I like to boost the shimmer factor sometimes and use in conjunction with my *Jergens Shea beauty oil* and literally douse in this golden glitter concoction. The two combined give me a velvety, smooth skin. It was perfect for that summer glow I was going for all along! The consistency is not extremely thin but is very lightweight and most importantly, not greasy! It sinks in in a matter of minutes. And please let’s have a moment for its amazing vanilla cupcake smell!
Continuing in the oily side of things, This Korres Wild Rose Vitamin C active brightening oil one is the best! I’m talking top shelf status. It is now an integral part of my routine. Since it has lightening properties - and I happen to like my brown skin - I use this guy as a spot treatment. I take the dropper that comes with it, dab it on and spread it around with a qtip. A few drops go a long way and they soak right into the targeted areas of my face. I love, love its rose petals smell, it’s like aromatherapy. It feels light, airy and moisturizes brilliantly. Moreover, the littlest goes a long way so it is great value. I’m a literal oil pipeline and this is just a bit too much for daytime so I only use it at night. This product delivers real results. The morning after I had applied it my skin feels so soft and reinvigorated. After just a few nights my visage had immediately started to even out. My acne scars and dark spots are slowly clearing up. Plus my hyperpigmentation seems to be gradually disappearing. I couldn’t be happier! It’s really made a huge difference in the appearance of my skin. I just love the changes I am seeing in my complexion. I was kindly gifted with this guy but Korres has found a new fan in me. I will for sure be repurchasing it! (I rarely do that).
Introducing the latest member of the Wella’s ELEMENTS paraben-free, sulfate-free care range. This hair strengthening serum boosts each hair fiber up to 85% firmer. This leave-in, no rinse product is said to be used after conditioned hair but I like to spritz it while styling my mane and use it as a finishing sheen. I noticed that I get so much volume that way. It gives my signature curled up hair a beautiful pop and makes it look alive, almost cloud-like fluffy. It gives a little (lot!) bit of hold even. Its tropical fruits-y mango/apricot-like scent is absolutely divine. The smell is not too overpowering but being Caribbean I might be a little biased here =) This kind of smell turns off be some but it lingers for a little while. It does go away eventually (sadly for me).
I am the ultimate snacker so you know I had to slip these two in :D
If you follow me on snapchat (@daconcreterose) then you shouldn’t be surprised that the Black Pepper-flavored Snapea Crisps made it to my faves. I discovered these yummy munchies while grocery shopping on an empty stomach - which I would not recommend. Chips and puffs usually have little to no nutritional value for the amount of fat and sodium they contain. These dehydrated green peas crisps are a great alternative to greasy potato chips (which I shamefully love) they definitely help me stay on a {somewhat} healthy track. The peas are ground up and mixed with rice into the mold of a snap, creating this delectable grub. A bag of these gets easily destroyed in just one seating.
On the not so healthy but oh-so-delish end of the tidbits spectrum are these Ice Cream Creations Dulce de Leche Chips Ahoy! cookies. I literally finished this box in 3..ok 2 days. Following the deliciousness of its chocolate chip flavor, I wasn’t at all surprised to find that these were going to give me all of my life, AND more. SIDENOTE: Milk is a great companion to these wafers. Trust and believe. Not only does it offer the cozy taste of frozen cream, it’s also a nod to another of my dessert faves, dulce de leche! Can someone say the best of both worlds?! They feature the classic soft-and-chewy cookie that I love. This time, however, it’s jam-packed with the creamy caramel sauce chunks. I.cannot.deal. The first bite transports me to a walk in the streets of Bueno Aires, something I’m desperate for as the hot weather is long gone. Don’t walk to your grocery store’s cookie aisle for this, run!
And that wraps up my holy grail products from last year. Please do share the items that you couldn’t put down throughout 2016. Any food you’d think think I’d like? Sound off in the comments section below!
DISCLAIMER: Some items were purchased with my own coinTs, unless marked with a (*) then these are products that were sent by mail or gifted to me at an event without any pressure for review. Thoughts/opinions are as always my own (how boring to take someone else’s ;P)
