Aaaah W.I.T.C.H. is such a great series! I was super obsessed with it and used to steal the comics from my older sister's room to read them lol. It was my second "magical girl" medium after Sailor Moon, and my first Western iteration of the genre, so it's special to me.

• I love how Will is not the only "new girl" in town - having her share the spot with Taranee makes her a little bit less "special" and it's nice!

• Aaaah I forgot how different the transformations look from their civilian forms! I LOVE it! It's one of the only Magical Girl mediums that actually commit to this!!! (And I love how Will sees her "new self" in a mirror, I'm a sucker for metaphors and imagery okay

• Irma: The plus size rep who's into romance!

• Aaaaah yes, Taranee being smart and introverted and NOT the sporty, sassy Black girl (TM)!!!! LOVE LOVE LOVE!!!!

• Cornelia: Popular mean girl who uses her popular mean girl powers for good. Slay queen!

• NOT HAY LIN HAVING A SAILOR MOON DOLL IN HER ROOM YESSS QUEEN YOU HAVE GOOD TASTE

BUT ALSO YOUR ROOM IS A MESS AND WTF IS "SUSHI PRINCESS" lmao the obvious "Yes This Is An Asian Character"

• The girls are so relateable I love all of them!

• Look at my cute lil' bean Taranee. She deserves the world 🥹🩷

• I also love how the comics talk about very serious issues (death, family issues, self-esteem issues) in a respectful manner. The story is so nuanced!

• The humour is also great!

• In this section, Will tries to print Taranee's biology project. Her computer, George, complains about being exploited while his wife, the printer Mildred, chastises him. Yes, they talk, just like all of Will's household items. And yes, they fight a lot.

• Here, Will is like "And then I told Mr. Collins (history teacher) that I won't do his project!" And the girls are like "Wow that's so cool, he didn't suspend you?" And Will goes, "Eh well, I told him that of course I'd do the project, but my tone was fierce!" Lmao that's such a typical teenage girl thing. And it shows their friendship!

• Oh and we have love interests that don't suck and who actually have a personality! We're first introduced to Will's love interest Matt, an older boy who loves animals and rescues a dormouse with Will. He's great and yes I used to ship them a lot, and I still like them! Later we get introduced to Taranee's possible love interest Caleb (and Cornelia expresses an interest in someone's older brother lol). In general, the topics of love and romance take a backseat in W.I.T.C.H. for now, which I like, because it's not the focus of the story

• Will in general is a great "main" character! She's the leader, but not totally overpowered like Bloom from Winx or Sailor Moon. She's balanced and likeable, and some girls feel comfortable enough to challenge her from time to time

• Gotta give it to Cornelia, she's THE girl's girl! She's down for her friends 100%!

• Also I gotta rave about the artstyle: It's so expressive and the bigger artwork is just gorgeous, I mean look at this:

So yeah. All the love for W.I.T.C.H.!!!

Bratz has grown up with their audience which I think is great! They've realized their fan base are older and instead of changing everything to fit the way to bright and flashy shows, they've been making more memes and references to media like mean girls, euphoria, ect.

and you can have fun kids shows without it feeling like brainrot, bluey for example is imo the best kids show we've gotten in awhile

One thing that's so disappointing about the winx is that they're whitewashing the white characters too💀 like Stella had a tan but in the more recent shows she's just pale

They really can't handle any type of tan/darker skin

Anyways on a better note I'm making a new winx club oc :3 he's a pretty boy named Ling that's crushing on Riven. They have very much rivals to lovers feel. Constantly bickering while both of them are like damn I wanna kiss u so bad

His appearance + fighting style is basically Ling from MLBB because I got hyperfixated on him years ago.never played the game, saw a friend playing him and became obsessed

Oh I don’t keep up with bratz so much but that is a genius marketing move. I think it’s interesting how such few shows and tv series are willing to grow up with their audience. It’s like they’re so eager to fish in a new crowd they just end up killing off the original crowd and the show along with it

Also yes bluey is a great one along with ms Rachel! There’s a reason as to why kids have such a positive response to her!

Oh hello I love that!! I had to Google to get the visuals but he looks so freaking pretty and I’ll forever love an enemies to lovers arc when it’s queer couples bc it’s done in a healthy way like it’s light bickering or fun competitiveness while straight couples straight up have a toxic relationship 💀

5: Book/series I reread?

I reread The Hobbit once. The first time I read it was eleven years ago for school. My classmates convinced our substitute teacher to make it our reading assignment for that term because the first Peter Jackson adaptation was coming out that year. I read it and enjoyed it (it was one of the best book assignments I ever had and I remember it very fondly) but I didn't really get into Tolkien until I watched the films. I reread The Hobbit in English when I became a Tolkien fan.

Fun fact about The Hobbit for me is it was the book I analyzed for my end of degree project at university so I reread parts of it then too. I knew I wanted my project to be about Tolkien and I originally wanted to make it about The Lord of the Rings but The Hobbit suited the topic I ended up choosing better and it being a shorter work also made it easier for me.

I wanted to reread The Lord of the Rings too when it was my main obsession but I never found the motivation to reread the whole thing, only the first chapter on Bilbo and Frodo's birthday to celebrate. It's the chapter I remember most fondly and definitely my favourite. I think I read the whole Harry Potter series again once a long time ago but it's not something I usually do. I don't really have a favourite book so I don't have a book I keep coming back to.

J.R.R. Tolkien, Jane Austen and Louisa May Alcott.

I'm not sure I have a favourite but I like chocolate and vanilla.

The Peanuts Movie, such a cute funny feel good movie. I watched it mostly for Noah (he voiced Charlie Brown and was absolutely adorable <3) but I enjoyed it a lot, I love it. ♡

Invisibility.

I've always wanted to be a fairy tale princess but that's too vague and doesn't really answer the question.

If you had asked me this question about five years ago, I would've said Middle-earth, the Shire specifically, without hesitation. I was in love with it, my dream was to live in Bag End, but now I think it would be nicer and cozier to be Beth March for a day.

Back then, I also would have loved to be a Hogwarts student but now I think it probably wouldn't be as nice as it sounds. I still occasionally come up with Hogwarts AU situations in my head though.

I would love to live close to the Hundred Acre Wood so I could meet its inhabitants.

And although Hawkins is definitely not the best place to live, I'd love to have the chance to see Will.

The people living there were known to be skillfull mages and witches , and a great source of their power came from dark/black magic. Centuries ago they also used fairy magic to keep a balance, but this angered the fairies living there and caused a very gruesome war . Although the war is over, the two sides cannot help but feel a visceral hate for each other.

Morgana was one of the few that was able to gain something from the war. She hunted down fairies and took their wings, which gave her more power for each time she took one. After peace was found, Morgana found it useless to stay in that small, confined village and instead enrolled in WHA to put her abilities to good use.

hello my dear!

as per your request, here is my essay on my thoughts and feelings of the school for good and evil movie

to make a long story short, i am really disappointed.

i think it’s because i have read all the books like four times, and i can recite them by heart… the series was what made me fall in love with reading again and it’s my comfort read

it’s not a bad movie per say, just not accurate. similar to the percy jackson movies in that sense. they’re only good if you separate the story it’s based off with the one on the screen

and yes, i know that i shouldn’t be expecting much from the movie because they can’t do it word for word, but the characters really lost what made them… them? if that makes sense

professor dovey is so wise in the books, and her and lady lesso have such a close bond (i ship it tbh) and agatha was more than just screaming at people like “this isn’t you!” and sophie was fucking EVIL and sooo obsessed with being beautiful and good and her obsession ate her up from the insides

by the looks of it, they are probably going to continue the movies into a franchise, because they set it up that way at the end. but i beg you to read the books, if you have time and money. they are brilliant

You're really disappointed 🥺😭ohhhh I mean I watched that movie expecting nothing but pure cringe, sth like Vampire Academy movie and Cinderella with Camila Cabello. I understand that for a book fan it must be really painful 🥺

You know what, I was watching it and thought: "Hey that's what Fate Winx Saga was supposed to look like". I know it's really random, but I just can't stop thinking about it.... Sth so colorful, naive with cringe dialogues and fancy dresses + one bright castle for fairies and dark castle for witches 🥺

Oh oh oh I wonder what Agatha was like in the books, cause I was really annoyed by her in the adaptation, she was just walking around radiating main character energy and constantly saying "I'm not like you or any other girls, I'm special 🙄" and I liked Sophie but the way you describe her book version sounds so much more interesting😭

Yup! I appreciate people taking time to read and let me know what they thought, plus comments are so few that it really doesn't take much time to respond to them. AO3 refuses to notify me when someone has commented, though, so sometimes it takes me a while to notice... ^^;

6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

Oh, for sure my unpublished VLD fix-it fic. As far as published stuff goes, probably Worth While.

7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

I think it's a tie between What We'll Find and Here To Stay.

8. Do you get hate on fics?

None currently, but I have in the past :) It was extremely amusing, tbh.

9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?

Mmm, yes? No? I guess it depends on your definition -- I've definitely written smutty scenes, but I'm a huge fan of suggestion and favor suggestive descriptions of things associated with the characters in question (like, sunlight stroking tree branches or the sun sinking down over the forest for Eöl/Aredhel) over explicit descriptions (and not just for smut, but for pretty much everything -- descriptions of things just straight up as they are tend to bore me), so -- idk if that counts!

10. Do you write crossovers? What’s the craziest one you’ve written?

Nope! I have a strong dislike of them, and I always filter them out when searching for fics myself.

11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?

None that I'm aware of.

12. Have you ever had a fic translated?

Again, none that I'm aware of.

13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?

Nope! The most I've done is weave in my sister's or a friend's same-universe OCs (with their permission, of course) as background characters, to enrich the worldview/environment.

14. What’s your all time favourite ship?

It changes based on my mood/hyperfixation at the moment, but I think this one goes to Ulquiorra/Orihime purely on terms of longevity and intensity of obsession XD

15. What’s a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?

I really, really, really want to finish 6, but my drive for Bleach still hasn't returned to its pre-manga ending levels yet and I doubt it ever will. I also really want to finish my VLD fix-it fic, just because I enjoy what I've done with the last chapter and really want to get that last chapter published... I just need to write all the other chapters that come before it, first XD

16. What are your writing strengths?

If I'm decently knowledgeable in the language or know someone who is and could translate for me, and it makes sense with the characters/universe, sure! Most of the fandoms I write for don't really have language barriers among their characters, though, so it's very, very rare.

Rainbow High headcanons. This post mainly features stuff from the series 1 gals (and Bella!)

I came up with a LOT of these on the fly, btw-

Interests:

-Ruby introduced Poppy to Lego Island sometime after they met. Poppy immediately became a fan of Lorin Swelk afterwards and has not been the same since -Poppy, like I said before, is a huge fan of Lorin Swelk. She wants to BE LIKE HIM. -Sunny loves loves LOVES magical girl shows, especially Precure and Sailor Moon. -Jade is a huge fan of obscure pop-punk bands from the Bay Area, which is unironically where Poppy grew up -Skyler was probably into Winx Club at some point in her life and DEEPLY regrets it because it influenced one of her designs -Violet is obsessed with pop music (especially the 2000s stuff) -Bella brings hammers to school. They have a huge hammer collection.

Personalities:

-Ruby is the second loudest of the group. She is HOOOOORRIBLE at keeping secrets. Like her canon counterpart, she enjoys pranking others. She hangs out with her friends very often. -Poppy can usually be seen lying in her bed making up ideas for songs and remixes. She's emailed Lorin (Swelk) tons of times and asks him questions a lot, which usually ends in a downward spiral and ultimately, major stress. -Sunny likes to draw, animate and snuggle with her huge horde of plushies. She's also hyperactive and can sometimes forget things. -Jade is THE loudest of the group, and she does air guitar a lot. She's done the others' makeup before but sometimes, things can get VERY....erm, messy. -Skyler is not good at speaking in public. She does listen to that one song by R.E.M a lot, though. -Violet is a huge diva and she hangs out with Stella Monroe! She also has a grudge against Jade for reasons we cannot explain. She also cried once overhearing Skyler blasting R.E.M -Bella is insane and NOT in a bad way

-Height headcanons - Ruby is 4'9, Poppy is 5'2, Sunny is 3'11, Jade is the same height as Ruby, Skyler is 5'5 and Violet is 4'3. -Poppy has a butterfly umbrella and carries it around, but only on special occasions -Sunny is usually seen with one or two plushies in hand -Ruby and Jade do this in public (just pretend Ruby is Chris Carroll (with guitar, right) and Jade is Bob Conlon (left). They only do it when they're together though, and yes, this IS a Decal reference *grins evilly*) -Skyler is terrified of the 3DMM intro but not the actual program. Just the intro. -Violet secretly has a crush on Jett Dawson and also runs an Instagram account which absolutely TERRIFIES Ruby because she used to use Instagram and now has a freaking phobia of it (and thanks God that she doesn't use it anymore) -Jade is an only child and wears sneakers to avoid getting foot cramps -Sunny has a huge collection of Miracle Lights that Bella admires. -Jade likes to joke that her pronouns are big/balls but she actually uses she/her pronouns (FYI: Bella uses they/them pronouns, and Ruby, Poppy, Sunny, Jade, Skyler and Violet all use she/her pronouns) -People mistake Bella for a girl because of their appearance but they actually use they/them pronouns

Practising Italian with Cartoons Pt.1

One thing I realized when I started learning Italian, as a Spanish kid, was how many of my favourite childhood cartoons were actually Italian. Seriously, like 90% of them. I personally find in cartoons an easier entryway into language oral comprehension than live action series. The vocabulary is simpler, the narrative is easy to follow, and they are shorter, avoiding the feared, but almost inevitable, burn out.

Today I’m going to bring you a few, and tell you where you can watch them. 

(Disclaimer: I am aware a lot of them were first introduced in comics, but I can’t find where to read those, in English, Spanish or Italian, so if you happen to know, please lmk)

- Huntik, Secret and Seekers: In Italy, a group of secret hunters protect the world from an evil organization using the power of The Titans (beings embodying the power of older gods and heroes). You don’t understand, I was OBSESSED. The main reason I play dnd, and l want to be a touristic guide, is this cartoon. Full of mythology and legends, this is every dark academia’s kid jam.

- Angel’s Friends: Drastic change, Angel friends tells us the story of Raf, an angel attending classes on earth, who has the misfortune of falling for a devil. The OG enemies to lovers, the love story of these two had me truly invested, and the story, as simple as it looks, is hella (pun intended) interesting. 

- Winx: What can I say about The Winx. The Italian cartoon by default, we love and we stan our favourite fairies. I recommend stopping after the fourth season, but you do you.

- W.I.T.C.H: Another series about magical girls, this on a more conventional tone. A group of girls is bound to protect the veil between their world and Meridian, using the power of the elements. This was, alongside The Winx, the most popular Italian cartoon in Spain. 

- Monster Alergy: This is the first cartoon of this list I was surprised to discover it was Italian. Although in retrospective it was quite obvious (it’s in the vibes). A funny, distended cartoon about a family of monster hunters/caretakers in a world where only a few humans can see these creatures. The particularity is that the main character is heavily allergic to monsters, hence the name.

-La principessa Sissi: Another of the unexpected ones. Bear in mind, this cartoon is old, but it is also gorgeous, and the animation is not bad at all. A young Sissi (yes, the Hungarian empress) lives in Bavaria with his family, until two mysterious visitors end up at her doorstep. A love story full of castles, adventures, and beautiful dresses. Princesscore at its peak.

There is another cartoon about Sissi in italian, newer and for younger audiences, but I honestly prefer the original series.

More about the schools in rewinxing Magix...

Let's see. First to said these three schools are at the end run by the Magic Realm Council, and it is best to think of them as a military academy or affiliated with a UNO-type para/military group.

They send their students on missions (the only thing that explains to me that the winx and the specialists go out so much and the adults leave them).

The first with supervision, the following with follow-up and then with reports it’s enough.

Average time of studies and graduation mark

Witches/wizards study at least 7 years or 9 because 7 is a magic number and 9 is three times 3. It does not have a final transformation but a series of spells and creation of minimal artifacts (such as Gloomix -now called Sheen Trinket-, the Vacuum -we will call it by their dub name Whisperian Bottles-, Convergence and the Grief Edge/Blade -actually takes form of random weapon- for graduation)

fairies/faes at leat 5 years. Both begin with coming of age when the creature's magic core has stabilized. There are many reconized fairy transformations. But in Alfea they ask for the Enchantix as a graduation mark transformation because a Guardian Fairy has to be willing to give everything for others. Many fairies of Alfea achieve their basic form in the first year and in the following a few others according to their affinities up to Enchantix. It is not normal to get the Enchantix in the 3rd year, although it is introduced in that year so that the fairies/faes can get mentalized.

Paladins and Specialists start at 14 years old and train for a minimum of 10 years. The first years can be skipped but you have to show that you have physical fitness, which is what they focus on. Because magic is tricky and the body is not. But sure, most royals train at home and go straight into the last courses. Their final exam is a circuit or mission that requires they to use a great deal of their knowledge learned over the years. It is very comprehensive and has individual and group parts.

Uniforms

Faes have uniforms with protection against falls and blows, also to facilitate the invocation of the wings. They are not gender specific, yes, there are skirts and pants, but you wear what you want.

Witches do not have a uniform, but on special occasions - when they confront other schools - they wear long black robes to identify themselves.

Specialists and Paladins uniforms they are very resistant, thermal insulating and have a dark-light type concealment function. Which is not black or white, but a range of dark and light colors to blend in in dark places or in deserts and tundras. Obtaining the energy for it depends on whether they are Specialists (technomagic) or Paladins (magical artifacts) it is for this energy that each person gets a different color. They also start with a full standard armor coating that tends to decrease according to the combat style of each fighter But it also helps training -because of the extra weight-. Paladins uniforms adds featherlike wings, specialists usually use animals or vehicles.

Schools buildings and location

All schools are located in Magix. An asteroid in a belt, in the remains of Planet Hike, from which it formed. It is a neutral location and home to the Magic Realm Council. Another place considered neutral is Lymphea.

Lake Rocaluce is where a great meteor was invoked and caused the fracture of the planet (and the end of a war, an interRealm war that Hika hosted, but that was long before even the Ancient Witches. The schools are placed around him in eternal memory it... Although... they no longer remember... Magix (the city) was founded by the weary survivors of this war and they too formed the Magic Realms Council, with their sede in the Fortress of Light that hangs above Lake Roccaluce.

Both Alfea and CT has been saturated with a lot of magic for a long time, this is why they are relatively alive. Although this is much more obvious in Cloud Tower (Alias Cloudy). The latter is alive to the point that some people become obsessed with school and not drop it, and suspend, suspend, and continue to fail.

Room customization is encouraged as a form of self-expression, specially in Alfea.

Cloud Tower is in dark colors so I already mentioned to welcome its residents without strident stimuli. On the contrary, Alfea has light and harmonic colors, vibrant without being garish, which call joy, warm, hope, cleanliness.

Being reasonable and knowing how to explain yourself is supposed to be part of the job and sometimes things don't work out, they get it (and all of the specialist sleep with their weapon near!!!)

LC or Lyceum is how they short call the Lymphea College for faes/ies, witches/wizards, specialists and Paladins. But within them, the Faction of Paladins is considered a n.p. So, if they talk about fairies/witches/specialists they would say they come from the Lyceum, but if they are Paladins, they come from The Faction [of the Lymphea College, affiliate to the Council, of Rocaluce, of Magix, of... etc. Jedi everywhere)]

Scholarships

Alfea, Cloud Tower and Fonterrosa are known as the elite of their kind, so they have few scholarships and are very rigorous. Or of course money money.

Forgoing a scholarship is frowned upon, although they are willing to give you a recommendation for the school of your choice. How was the case with Flora (she got a scholarship in CT but she didn’t accept it, either way they recommended her to Alfea and therefore she was able to enter, Miele did not have that opportunity for so she stays in Lymphea).

Musa got a full scholarship. Bloom's special case led to a partial scholarship, although no one told her, so she stayed until she got her family back, both studying and working as a waitress. Under normal circumstances she couldn't have allowed herself a course at Alfea on a single waitress's salary.

Riven has a partial scholarship only because his behavior fails to win him full scholarship, this actually improves when the series begins.

Paladins and Specialists

At first they were the same order but favoritism vs obstracism to people who could use magic devices or musr rely on technomagic ones separated them. Over time they have come together again and make times of exchange to favor collaboration and such.

Today the Paladins have taken a more peaceful approach and they usually work directly for the Magic Realms Council and the Specialists more combat oriented. that are not so "exquisite". I am not saying Specialists are mercenaries, but they not serve exclusively a single Jedi-wanna-be organization.

Timmy and Brandom could have been paladins. Timmy chose not to be so as not to fall into the nerdy stereotype that is only good for purely external help. Brandon for Sky obviously. We already mentioned that Nabu and Helia have witch origin.

Other schools and possible jobs

I think I mentioned it in another post, but the main output of these schools is Guardian, the formation of Kaleidoscopes, Covens and Squads, everything is oriented to that.

So, once finished here, you can work on many things with security and embassy being the most obvious and demanded from these schools.

But you can be a teacher, researcher, creator / repairer / tester of potions or magic items, animal caretaker, nurse, any version of work from the magic application ranger by example, firefighter, cleaner. Or you can jump to the normal university in a vip way. From here.

Some subjects/courses common to all schools (even though theoretically have studied it before). BTW They can go to other schools to receive extra courses: Good Manners/Etiquette, Flight, Cognitive analysis, History of Magix, Basic Survival, Firsts Aids, Basic Witchcraft, Basic Fairycraft, Basic Magical Zoology, Basic Zoology, Basic Herbology, Basic Magic Herbology, Magiphysics, Dance, Music, Art. Diplomacy.

Other examples but only to magic schools: Potionology, Magiphilosophy, History of Magic, Healing, Transfiguration (metamorphosis, metamorphosymbiosis, biotrasformation), Applied convergence, Summoning, Psychic arts (speciality *x* ie illusion, emotion, mind-reading), Divination, Basic Wild Magic, Elemental Magic (speciality *x*), Nature Magic, Art-applied magics (speciality *x*), Magical Zoology, Basic Craftsmanship Magic, Advanced Craftsmanship Magic, Astral Magic, Basic Forbidden Magic Knowledge. FORBIDDEN: Demonology, Necromancy, Sacrificial Magic among others.

Other examples but only to Specialists and Paladins (for paladins some are mandatory): Dragon wrangling, flying fighter crafts, Riding, Driving/navigation, Astronavigation, Beast/Animal Taming, Close quarter combat (sub speciality in weapon *x*), Long range combat, Cooperation, Mechanics, Technology, Hand-to-hand combat (sub speciality in *x*), Strategy, (numbers yes or no 101 and more), Advanced survival techniques, Close protection operative, Concealment operations, Unconventional weapons, Fighting Magic Basic-Advanced-Expert, Fighting Magic Users Basic-Advanced-Expert.

i finished watching fate the winx saga today (which btw is a personal record because i usually need months to watch a whole series and i just needed two days for this one) and all i can say is: i'm in LOVE

I'm going to give you some background, and by that I mean, I'm going to humiliate myself awfully beforehand: When I was a kid, I freaking loved the Winx club and I would wake up at six am on Saturdays to watch it. Since Winx club began to air with I was eight years old and took a long hiatus in America around the time I turned ten/eleven and my parents also coincidentally had a bunch of computers laying around for me to play around and type on since my dad worked for IBM-- it's safe to assume that I spent nearly every free moment of those three years thinking about this cursed concept and plotting these awful books.

So like, the Winx club was aired on PBS in the midwestern market at an ungodly hour since they also served the east coast, and I would literally go to sleep the second the sun went down to watch it. I was kind of a weird kid, so I always pretended that I was tuning a tv to turn to my favorite channel before bed and so forth, then I'd have these dreams that I was pretty in control of.

And again.

I was obsessed with Winx.

So, obviously, I had these dumb dreams about winx fairies and all of that, but the show wasn't going exactly how I wanted it after like a season (thanks freaking RIVEN) so I drifted away from that and started dreaming about, writing about, and obsessing about my own rip off winx.

Enter, Snowflake. Red hair, blue eyes. Fire powers, even though her name was Snowflake. A clear rip-off of Bloom, but like picture more dresses and she's a fairy who lives in a fucking igloo.

Snowflake started out clearly interested in two men who, I shit you not, were named Brad and Joey. Brad had blonde hair and blue eyes, he was a rip-off of bloom's boyfriend but shirtless 90% of the time and fucking useless. Joey broke my heart. Joey was a rip-off of good old Riven, the love of my young life, only add a cool, tough tattoo on his arm that was a literal knife with the word 'hurt' underneath it.

Snowflake started out as a princess who went to a boarding school, but eventually, I realized that I didn't need the rest of those bitches around (by that I mean literally all of the other students). So Snowflake was a princess who hung out in her kingdom and had like three friends who were decidedly beneath her; Stacey, Edna, and Kay. Kay was Joey's twin sister. They were basically yes girls with one note personalities, save for Kay, who was like Snowflake's best friend and had light powers that were totally ripped off of the Dazzler and useless 90% of the time.

The meat of the story is that there was this older fairy who wanted to melt Snowflake's home and flood the world. She was named Carly because, surprise, I was bullied by a girl named Carly. Carly (in the story) bit people, but like, not as a vampire thing, she just like ate them? You didn't die or even bleed, and the part would grow back, I think I just thought that cannibalism was a pretty mean thing to do.

And also Carly wanted to abduct Snowflake to make her melt the world because Snowflake was basically a glorified lighter.

This all sounds twice as stupid when I write it out.

Anyway, so Snowflake's main boo was Brad, since Joey would have random fits and decide to be evil every once in a while and that was 'annoying'. The problem with Brad, however, was that he was a classic himbo and always got captured and had to be saved from the evil lair (an apartment inside a literal volcano) -- They always caught Brad because, I have no idea why, the idiot of the year was always hanging out in a hot tub and I'm pretty sure that's because that was the only way that my little brain could comprehend him being shirtless all the time as I needed him to be.

But eventually, like the eighth time Snowflake came to rescue him, Brad died. Like, Snowflake saw him across the clearing and this villain literally pushed a fucking boulder on him. I outlined in word and printed out on one of the five pieces of paper my parents would let me have every day (To keep my sister and I from stealing and printing on a whole ream) that this man literally had a boulder rolled on him. Like, Carly climbed up the stairs, went to a ledge, and had the fucking time to roll a boulder on him while Snowflake was talking.

And her spirits were crushed almost as flat as Brad was.

So like Snowflake decided to go out with Joey who was like, "have you ever considered being evil idk it's occasionally fun" and became evil and melted the world? Listen, trauma can change a girl.

Then she became a mermaid and brought her friends back as merzombies

But she wasn't happy, even though she could now wear black and cut her hair? Also Joey kissed with tongue and Brad didn't, so that should have been a major plus.

I really think it was just because Joey wore a shirt all the time, but who knows.

Snowflake's dead parents who died off-screen sometime showed up as ghosts and told her that she could do anything with the power of love. She asked them to stay, AND THEN THEY LITERALLY SAID SOMETHING LIKE, "sorry, we can't be here with you, you can do anything with the power of love, but we're not in love with you, DAUGHTER."

Snowflake cried on Brad's FLAT body and the tears somehow touched it and he was brought back to life and then immediately started to drown because I had a baseline understanding of biology, and by that I mean I understood that people did not breathe water.

Brad dying a second time in front of her made her powers explode

so, somehow, she unlocked all the powers of the HTRAE (THAT'S THE WHOLE UNIVERSE'S NAME, NOT THE PLANET. It's Earth backwards, because technically the planet is just inside earth-- Listen I can't explain this shit very well) and froze her kingdom again

and then suddenly like, controlled all the elements. Like bam, she is nature, bitch. This includes metal. No idea why. Just elements plus metal, which again, not an actual element there.

But it couldn't be over, because I'm from the midwest and my grandma is the head of the church commitee. Ten year old Beth knows how love and romance work, okay, she knows how to craft a fucking story and where to end it.

so I was like I guess her and BRAD get married. And then Joey came back to fight for her hand and he won, but Snowflake didn't love him so she froze him? EVEN THOUGH SHE LIKED HIS TONGUE KISSES.

SHE CRIED BECAUSE OF THE TONGUE KISSES I SWEAR.

And then her and Brad literally got onto a horse to ride into the sunset and made out-- With tongue.

and that's just like a really brief summary of my actual hundreds of printed pages (10 pt font) of nonsensical plot that was going to make up the Snowflake Series, and as an eleven year old I was convinced that this would sell for millions of dollars and everyone would be so impressed that they'd carve, 'Creator of Snowflake', into my tombstone.

4) how often are you on tumblr? 

Every day? When I do 11-12 hour shifts I just hop in to check my notifications and/or messages and scroll down a few posts I guess, but I’m aware that I’m not as active now as I used to be

Mutuals, mostly, and everyone who messages me! I have some friends and a boyfriend whose blogs I regularly check lol

Yes, very much so. I’m staring at the sky every time I’m going out for at least 30% of the time

Uhh I’ve had a few weird encounters with strange people - I do work in customer service, dear - but also weird things don’t happen to me, as chaotic as I am I just cause the weird things to happen myself. I would say the weirdest thing that’s happened to me lately was falling in love when I just managed to convince myself to stop looking for it on every corner.

I’m more of an HBO originals kinda guy, but if I had to say something then BoJack Horseman (shocker, I know)

I mean recently or ?? asffsgd. I recently learned that I’m capable of being in a healthy, committed long-distance long-term relationship. I learned that I feel much more than I want to, I learned that I don’t want to live with the gender I was born as, and I learned that life is good and there’s hope for a better future.

Films, because they’re more easily digestible

Pen, because I always manage to smudge pencils. But also.... love me a good pen

Soft linen sheets, lazy mornings, the distant sounds of early traffic, sunlight flooding in from the balcony’s doors, a mop of messy green hair on my chest and my partner draped around me under the sheets. There’s no fucked-up news on any social media when we wake up for real and check our phones.

35) a school subject your good with? 

Probably literature/english, but I’m mildly curious about chemistry, biology, history and grammar too

Three and sometimes I sleep through all of them asgdjg

43) what do you remember from your childhood? 

Crying because my parents were divorcing, singing songs on the swings with my best friends, dolls and getting scared by House MD. A purple pastel dress with pearls sewn onto it and some green summer dresses. A ski cabin, but I’m not sure I ever went skiing.

Oh ye!! Lighters and mugs. And I guess you would call my ear gauges a collection, too. I kinda collect books, patches and pins but thats like, way secondary to all of these - I have Loads of lighters n mugs.

The Gang’s Favorite TV Shows:

Sal:

- Sal likes animated kids shows. Since he was a 90’s kid his favorite shows are from the 90’s! His favorites include: Hey Arnold!, Rugrats, Doug, and Ren and Stimpy.

- He’s also a big fan of Ghibli movies. His favorite is My Neighbor Totoro.

- When he’s with Larry, he sometimes watches romcom movies. (Random headcannon: the movie he was watching in episode 5 with Larry was The Notebook.) His favorites are the teen one’s from the 80’s, like 16 Candles.

Larry:

- When he isn’t stoned busy, Larry likes to watch TV. He’s not super picky on what to watch, but he really likes animated shows as well. His favorites are Spongebob, The Animaniacs, Recess, and Rocco’s Modern Life.

- When he was younger, he used to watch family sitcoms with his mom or when he was sick. Alf, Family Ties, and Mad About You were really popular. They also liked The Crosby Show until you know.

- Whenever there was nothing else to do, Larry would watch the “childhood sick day staples”, which include: Jerry Springer, Judge Judy, and Doctor Phil.

Ashley:

- Ash’s guilty pleasure and dirtiest secret is the fact that she loves LOVES The Bachlor. The only person who knows is Neil and they watch it together.

- Besides that, Ash likes to watch sitcoms. She’s always loved Sienfield since she used to watch it with Ben. She also really likes Everybody Loves Raymond and What I Like About You (What I Like About You was my EARLY CHILDHOOD LETS GOOO).

- She really likes the Simpsons also. Not to mention Family Guy is a favorite as well. She also LOVES Bob Ross’s show and when she has free time, she’ll turn it on and paint to it.

Todd:

- Todd isn’t really the biggest fan of TV shows. He’d much rather be researching ghosts or dinking around on his computer. So when he usually watches TV, it’s just the news.

- He really likes nerdy series though. Stuff like Star Trek and The Twilight Zone are right up his ally. He also enjoys Friends and The Big Bang Theory though.

- A secret he will never EVER share. Like literally, not even Niel knows. One time at Larry’s he was forced to watch The Fast and The Furious and he actually ENJOYED it? Like wtf? He’ll never tell though...

Travis:

- Travis really didn’t get to watch TV as a kid. Making sure his son has screen time is the last of Travis’s dad’s concerns. So when Travis got to watch TV, it was usually something cult related or the news.

- Once when he was at Sal’s, Larry forced him to sit down and watch Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Travis pretended to hate it but he secretly LOVED IT.

- And so started a closeted obsession with Buffy the Vampire Slayer. When he got older and moved into his own place, he began to have Buffy Binge Marathons.

Chug:

- Chug likes cooking shows, duh! Good Eats, Two Fat Ladies, and Ace of Cakes are his favorites.

- After having Soda, Chug has grown a liking to kids shows and Disney Movies. He can now sing every song in every Disney movie ever and also knows the names of all the girls from Winx Club.

- He also really likes superhero series, especially if they’re animated. He practically forces Maple to watch Teen Titans, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, X-Men Evolution, and the animated Batman series.

Maple:

- Maple likes more “mature/drama shows”. Her favorite are ER, Grey’s Anatomy, and Castle (MY CHILDHOOOOOOD GOD I FOOKIN LOVE CASTLE). She has also taken a liking to Supernatural.

- Maple is a HUGE horror movie fan. Chug hates it. He’ll hide in Soda’s room when Maple turns on her movies. Her go to’s are Sleepaway Camp, Friday the 13th, A Nightmare on Elm Street, and Rosemary’s Baby,

- She also really likes Fashion Runway, Switching Spaces, and Super Nanny.

Neil:

- Neil is a SUCKER for soap operas. General Hospital? Yes. The Young and The Restless? YEs. One Life to Live? YES!

- He also likes reality tv. He’ll call up Ash and force her to come over to watch any Real Housewives series or The Real World over a bowl of popcorn.

- Neil has such a soft heart for romcoms. He cries every time he has to watch them. He bawled like a little bitch when the watch The Notebook and Todd almost banned romcoms after The Lake House.

Orange: If you could, would you change your eye color? Why? To what color, if so?

Definitely. I like my eyes well enough, but there are so many more interesting colors I could pick. If I could choose, I would choose a deep violet-blue (sort of like Ezra’s eye color).

Cyan: Are you religious? Spiritual?

Yes! I am a (very progressive) Christian.

Amber: What’s saved as your phone’s lockscreen?

A picture I took of the view from the Empire State Building at sunset on a trip a couple years back. It’s one of my happiest memories and it makes me hopeful whenever I see it. 

Erin: What is/was your best school subject?

English! As it turns out, all the time I spend obsessively analyzing character arcs and foreshadowing in fandoms translates well into studying literary devices. My favorite part of the subject is definitely creative writing, though.

Porcelain: A TV show you used to love?

Hmmm... the used to implies that I don’t love it anymore, which makes this difficult because usually once I fall in love with something I have a soft spot for it forever. I guess when I was in second and third grade I was really into the Winx Club series, which I have since grown out of. (I am now in the process of very pointedly ignoring the live-action remake. There is no new Winx Club in Ba Sing Se.)

Denim: Kill the spider or take it outside?

Take it outside. I really don’t like killing things if I don’t have to (and this includes, like, ants) and also I am not foolish enough to invoke the spiders’ revenge.
