Mfer Taekookers acting a whole fool by trying to say JIN is a company favourite I guess we're back 🙄 Jin didn't call out the company while under their first contract to be labelled a company bootlicker by people who secretly bias Jungkook all along.
Of course Jikookers also show their upstanding moral credentials by using Taehyung's dog's death as fanwar fodder. Y'all seeing hell.

KIM TAEHYUNG
HERE:
[ recommend that you read this for context ]
“You’re…. here?” Taehyung is confused.
It’s not like he was unhappy to see you or anything, in fact his insides felt as if they could fucking explode out of joy right now you’re here. He could of sworn you were mad at him, like reallly mad at him like i’m not talking to you for at least 24 hours, running you over with a car in my mind i’ll push you off a bridge type of mad at him but like he said you’re… here, at his front door. Kinda weird he notes, you definitely do have a key that you make very frequent use of but he decides he’ll call you out on it later.
“Problem?” You voice seems hoarse.
Taehyung frowns. Had you been crying?
You immediately notice the frown that boy in front of you wears and let out a small cough in an attempt to clear your throat.
“Problem?” You try again followed by an awkward smile.
Taehyung can’t help but mirror your small smile with his own boxy grin “Never”
———————-
You now sit on Taehyung’s soft brown couch legs crossed holding one of his many decorative pillows to your chest. You inhale deeply and a musky wood scent fills your nose as you exhale his automatic air freshener, located on a shelf near his tv, goes off and a sickly sweet rose scent fills the room. You scrunch your nose up in disgust but choose not to comment on it knowing that your complaints will fall onto deaf ears as Taehyung claims the smell is “super romantic and alllll the girls love it” You giggle at the memory.
“Water right?”
You break away from your thoughts and look over your shoulder to find Taehyung’s eyes staring right back at you over his kitchen counter. You’ve always liked the way Taehyung’s place was laid out. The open plan really helps his home feel connected and has become your groups go to when hanging out.
You give Taehyung a small nod and turn back around. Something’s…. missing. Your gaze falls to the floor. Oh. You now notice one of Yoentan’s chew toys tucked under the corner of Tae’s fluffy carpet, the toy is purple in colour and what seems to be in a bone shape. Your lips pull into a smile.
“Where’s Tan?” You question.
Unbeknownst to you Tae freezes. “I— erm he’s with my parents right now” He internally cringes he hates lying to you. “Schedules have been real busy lately had to put him somewhere” At least that part was true.
Realistically there was no need to lie you about Yeontan’s whereabouts. I mean sure you would have looked at him funny probably asked a bunch of questions too but ultimately he could have told you. Yet he knew as soon as that question left your mouth he wasn’t going to tell you the truth.
Simply because he’s afraid.
Afraid that you’ll be ok with where Yeontan is right now. Who he’s with right now. And knowing you as much as Taehyung hates to admit it you most likely would be okay with it. You’ll probably read into it congratulate him on finding someone. Taehyung physically rolls his eyes at the thought. He wants you to burn like he did, like he does. He wants the thought of him choosing to leave Yeontan in the care of her instead of you consumes you whole. He wants it to devour you to haunt your every waking thought he wants it to—
“He’s all the way in Deagu? You know i would of taken him if you needed me to”
Taehyung blinks “I know”
He definitely does know.
But call him jealous, call him petty he didn’t care the thought of you and Jaehyun, Joon, Yoongi, Kook and fuck even Hoseok now consumed him. Consumes him. And that’s practically why he felt no shame in calling that number buried so deep in his contact list a week ago.
Now though, he must admit as he sits around an arms length away from you on his couch this whole “no shame” thing he was feeling before had just turned into pure guilt. Taehyung desperately tries to find your eyes but you refuse to make contact the air around you both suddenly awkward. Do you know he’s lying to you perhaps? Or is this just you upset because of the breakup? It’s very rare for Taehyung to be at a loss of what to say most of the time, so with everything in him he decides to break the awkwardness that has somehow found you both.
“Soooo…you went to see Hobi?”
Your eyes lighten up instantly thankful that Tae had taken the initiative to break the silence “Yeah i just wanted to make sure he got that the whole situation wasn’t actually his fault you know he gets in his head about that kind of stuff”
Taehyung nods along with what your saying
Another wave of awkward silence takes over.
You sigh and begin to get up off the couch.
“Maybe i should lea—”
“Did you fuck him?”
Both you and Tae’s eyes widen after the bold question leaves the man’s lips. Taehyung even slaps his hand over his mouth to had to the dramatics of it all.
“I’m sorry?” You begin
“No i’m sorry. I-I didn’t mean to ask that i just— i just noticed you are wearing Hobi’s hoodie and i just thought that— you know so i asked and—” Tae rambles trying to save himself.
You look down at the light blue hoodie you’re wearing very clearly not yours and equally clearly Hoseok’s due to the bold “J-HOPE” printed on each hoodie cuff and it entirely being a little too big for you. You look back up from the hoodie to Tae finding him still rambling on.
“I mean with you Jaehyun it’s like crazy so if you—”
You make eye contact with Taehyung and he shuts up almost immediately.
“What if i did?” The air shifts.
“Huh?” Taehyung is quick to reply
“Fuck Hoseok, what if i did fuck Hoseok?”
“T-thats cool” Taehyung suddenly feels small under your intense gaze.
“Is it?” You press
Taehyung nods unable to trust his own voice right now.
“Are you sure Taehyung?”
“Super sure. I don’t care”
“Then why ask?”
Taehyung turns his head away from you breaking the eye contact you both once held. The Tension in the room in the room is thick, suffocating. Taehyung takes a deep breath.
You’re here.
And Taehyung is still confused as to why. You’re making him feel guilty. Taehyung has nothing to feel guilty about. You’re still here you shouldn’t be here. Not after what’s happened today no. You’re here, why are you still here? This isn’t fair, not on him on you, on Hobi, on Joon Yoongi Koo—
Your delicate fingers on his jaw pull Taehyung both out of this spiralling thoughts and his head to face you again.
“I’m here” You speak slowly to him.
Taehyung can’t breath, he won’t breathe he refuses to breathe so many thoughts, too many thoughts it’s-it’s all not fair. Hot, his body feels hot his mind feels hot everything is just hot and the way you’re looking at him is just so…
Hot.
Fuck it. Taehyung throws all the nonexistent composure he had out the window and tugs you closer smashing his lips onto yours. His hands immediately find you hair while yours find rest on his neck your tongues dance in each other’s mouths for what feels like hours your kiss filled with so much passion and unspoken words before Taehyung pulls away for some much needed air. His hair just as disheveled as yours and lips just as swollen he smiles at you. He doesn’t say anything just stares and smiles. You go to open you mouth to say something but he’s quick to cut you off by diving back into your lips. He does this partly out of fear you’ll ask him to stop say this isn’t right and leave and party no fuck that definitely because if your lips aren’t on him in the next five seconds he’ll actually pass away.
In this moment Taehyung is happy. He’s happy and you’re here.

Hello 👋 can I pls request Taehyung, Jungkook and Yoongi reaction? They left their dogs at their crush's house for a few days but when they come back to take them home, their pets had become very fond and clingy towards their crush and refuses to leave with their owners. Thank you ❤️ ❤️
Request: Yoongi, Taehyung and Jungkook reaction to their dogs liking reader more
I wrote something similar which I'll link for all of the members here but I'll write this too :) Ty Anon
Yoongi:
Yoongi had trusted you with Min Holly for a few days while he was away with work. You texted him frequently to update him on Holly. Also sent lots of pictures of the two of you, which Yoongi secretly loved.
So when he arrived back from his work trip to pick Holly up, he was excited to not only see his dog again, but also you.
"How was he?", Yoongi asked, rubbing Holly's head as he sat on the couch.
"Oh he was great, a total sweethear", you smiled as you gave Holly another treat. "One for the ride home", Y/n said.
Yoongi laughed before asking you if you were free later that week, to which you responded yes. Then he clipped Holly to his leash and tried to walk towards the door, yet Holly wouldn't budge.
"Holly, you have to go home", Y/n said. Yoongi, however, found it amusing.
"I think he wants to stay here with you", Yoongi laughed as he unclipped Holly.
"How about I come visit you for the next few days, to ease Holly into it, you know?", Y/n asked.
"Sounds good to me", Yoongi said, looking forward to the next week.
Taehyung:
Taehyung had a performance in Japan which required him to leave Yeontan for a few days.
Though Taehyung wasn't dating Y/n, they spent most of their free time together and he couldn't think of anyone better to watch over Yeontan for a few days. He trusted you and he knew Yeontan was great with you.
So, he went to Japan for the week, and facetimed you every night, speaking to you for hours and getting a little screen time with Yeontan too.
So when he got back from Japan, he immediatly went home to greet his furry baby, and of course, you.
Y/n had actually house sat for Taehyung so he didn't need to pick Yeontan up at all.
When he stepped inside, Yeontan immediately trotted over to greet him, with Y/n following from behind.
"Tae! Welcome home", you said, moving to hug him. Taehyung sunk into the hug, missing your warmth and appreciating you more than ever.
The two of you sat for awhile, you asked about his trip, he asked about your week with Yeontan. You know, the usual.
After a few hours and a few episodes of the tv show the two of you had been watching recently, you leaned over to pick up you phone on the coffee table and checked the time.
"Oh, Taehyung, I have to go home soon, it's getting late", Y/n said, standing up and heading towards the door to put on her shoes.
"Aw, alright, call me when you get home.", Taehyung said as he watched Y/n put on her coat.
But what was most surprising was Yeontan, who planted himself in front of the door and wouldn't let Y/n leave.
"Yeontan", Y/n giggled, "I have to go, I'll see you soon!", Y/n said, crouching down so she was eye level with Yeontan.
Taehyung laughed as he stood up and walked over towards the both of them.
He picked up Yeontan and looked at Y/n,"You might as well stay, he doesn;t want you to leave.", he smiled shyly.
"I guess I could stay", Y/n responded, petting Yeontan, a blush creeping onto both, Taehyung and Y/n.
Jungkook:
Jungkook was currently promoting his solo album and had to go abroad for promotions. He left Bam with you, as he not only trusted you, but he knew that Bam loved you a lot.
So, when he got back from his promotions, he was excited to see you and pick up Bam.
He arrived at your apartment and unlocked the door with the key he had been given by you.
"Oh, Jungkook! You're back!", Y/n said as she walked into the living area, coming to inspect who had opened the door.
Bam followed close behind her, and immediately ran to greet Jungkook, who he had missed dearly.
"Bam missed you", Y/n smiled, watching as Bam come back over to her.
"He seems pretty happy here", Jungkook said, watching as Bam sat in his dog bed that you had boughten for him.
That's what Jungkook loved the most about you, you were so considerate and you took such good care of Bam.
The two of you watched Bam go back and forth between the both of you for the next hour. The two of you caught up about what the other had missed.
But when Jungkook thought it was time to leave, Bam had other plans.
When Jungkook called him over signaling towards the door. Bam stayed firmly planted by Y/n's feet. "Bam, come on we gotta go home", Jungkook said, finding it somewhat amusing. He looked up and watched as you covered your hand over your mouth, trying to stifle a giggle. He called Bam again, yet still nothing. "Bam, I'm serious.", Jungkook laughed, trying to sound stern.
"You don't sound very serious", Y/n joked. "What's the rush to go home...do you not like me", Y/n playfully pouted.
"You know that's not true", Jungkook laughed before heading back towards the couch. He could stay a few more hours.

“I wish you roses, and roses, and roses, and roses”
Summary: Flowers and attached notes of BTS boys
Genre: Fluff, angst(?), descriptions of hardships and arguments between Tae and Reader but ending is hopeful
CW: Nothing
A/N: Who would have known my fall back into flower language would align with me doing my first prompt challenge thing. I used a bunch of them, so they will be highlighted in the notes.
Giving credit to @writinginstardust for their huge brain🫡‼️‼️ 🫶🫶
Jungkook: sunflowers, yellow tulips, red tulips
“For my sweetest pookie.
I can’t write much on this card because the company gave me a word limit. Poor me. Can you feel my pout through this? I wanted to tell you that I dreamt about you last night. I saw it so clearly. It was late at night and we were stargazing outside. Bam was sprawled out on our laps like the lazy kid he is while you talked to me about your day, childhood, and everything. I don’t remember which story you were on but I remember you smiling at the end. God, I told you how much I love your smile right? I want to see it again soon. Seeing your blinding smile, I rush back into the house to fish for this bouquet. When I gave you the flowers, you rolled your pretty eyes. Still, you gave me the warmest smile I’d ever seen. It felt like deja vu.
- From Jungkook”
Yoongi: tarragon, daisies, morning glory, gardenia
“Hello dear.
I’ve missed you. Last night I woke up in an insomniac haze. For a second I thought that I was home. I saw you standing in the shadows gazing into me. I came to you and you held me while I clung to you. You smelt like vanilla and lavender. You smelt like home. Then reality hit me like a brick. Genuinely. Once my vision cleared I had a thumping migraine between my eyes and a stiff-as-shit neck. You always did tell me not to fall asleep in my studio chair. I spent the next hour lying in the dark on my studio couch like a wounded orphan. I wish I had told you. I should have told you. I would have been less alone. Less in pain. I don’t think I’m cut out for this job, I swear.
I can see you rolling your eyes, but I mean it this time. I’m coming home tomorrow. Finally, I can’t wait. - Yoongi”
V: Saliva (Red, blue, purple), Red carnation, baby’s breath
“Hi, clover.
You miss me?
I miss you. I’ve been thinking about you all day. I feel dreary. I’m working on a small ceramic mushroom…It’s not going well, It’s too lopsided. The sky is covered in a light gray fog. I hear the rain splash against the windows while Yeontan barks. We were supposed to see each other but I’m all alone now. Are you still upset? I was harsh. I felt the fearful pain of you leaving me, so I was determined to hurt you back. To make you feel what I felt so strongly. However, when I went back to lick my wounds, memories of our bliss came back stronger. Every touch. Every kiss. Every midnight walk we had when we both couldn’t sleep. The mornings waking up together. I was a fool. I always am, but more so in these moments.
When I see you again, can I hold your hand? I miss your warmth. And you - Your Alien”
Jin: red roses, pink roses, white roses
“Did you know my mother adores you?
Yeah, you’re all she ever talks about. “Oh, they’re so sweet.”
“Have you no manners? You see them looking so beautiful and you don’t say anything?”
“Yah, Seokjin how’s my favorite child doing?” Then when I tell her I’m fine, she goes “Quit joking, you know who I’m talking about.” How upsetting! I’m her actual son, but compared to you I’m chopped liver! Still, I can’t blame her. I’m the same way. I missed you during enlistment. I also missed the boys. Though not as much when compared to you. I see them 360 days out of the year. They’re staples in my life, but you…you’re my world.
My private heaven. My home. And I’ve been away from my home far too long. I intend to fix that. Get ready!
- From, Kim Seokjin ♥️”
Namjoon: Magnolia, cactus, succulents, aloe
“
“If the devil were to ever see you, he’d kiss your eyes and repent.” - Farouq Jwaydeh
Good morning, my Divine. I hope your day is going well. Mine could be better. It’s not bad, but not great. Just a day. I’m in a rut. I went to the studio and tried to write but my slack brain didn’t want to. Instead, it wants to focus on you. Where is my love? Have they finished the book I gave them? Have they thought about me today? As I think about them every day? How often do they think of me? I could close my eyes and still envision them perfectly. It’s wrapped itself in roses and lilies and recites love poems and scenarios. It’s excruciating shit. So, I’ll give it and myself an outlet. For starters, do you know how beautiful you are? It’s truly distracting. You’ve left me so lovesick that I’m borderline diseased. My waking hours are anguishing. My feet feel heavy and my head spins. My third rib begs for its return to my body so that my heart can be caged away once again. I know this is a lot to take in. I want to talk about it more with you when I’m less of a shell of a man. I won’t resent you if you don’t reciprocate. I’ll be pained, but I’ll come back to you. If do you reciprocate…Either way, say you want me, and I’m yours. - Kim Namjoon”
J-hope: honeysuckle, forget me nots, chrysanthemum (red)
“Hellooooooo. I hope your day has been as lovely as you are, honey. By the way, what kind of jewelry do you like best? I can’t pick. Gold makes you look stunningly regal but Silver shows the depth of your skin and eyes. This bouquet and the jewelry were both supposed to be same-day gifts, but the company never gave me any damn updates! How unfair is that! So now, these gifts have been forced apart. It’s so cruel. 🥲
I know I could call you about this instead, but it’s too different. I’ve been gone too long. I said I needed a refresh. A moment to connect back to what I want in life. Well, I have! The sky is so clear. The sun is shining. The forecast said there would be nice weather. They were absolutely right. My feet feel lighter. So does my heart. The cloud that hung over me has gone and I’ve stepped out of the box that’s kept me trapped. I’m ready to take my first step, but I want you there with me.
Tell me what you want.
Of the jewelry, I mean. I can’t afford to spend the whole day shopping! I love you. - Jung Hoseok”
Jimin: white jasmine, hibiscus, daffodils, white camellia
“Hello Darling ♥️.
I just realized how much I love you.
Well, not just realized, but I still needed to remind you. It sounds corny, but I’m very sincere. Besides, there’s no occasion for when you should declare your love right? Sure, there are preferred moments, but what’s wrong with keeping love fresh and exciting? Shouldn’t you want your lover to voice their love for you every day?
No, but honestly, It’s crazy, really. No one’s ever made me feel like this.
I’ve dreamt about this for as long as can remember, but only now have I found it. The person who I thought of every second of every day. The person who colored my dreams at night. The one I envisioned whenever I sang love songs. The one who I searched high and low for without fail or doubt.
I’ve waited so long for this.
So long…
I just needed to remind you. I’ll spend the rest of our lives reminding you. So don’t worry, I’m here. - Love Mochi”

Comforting Their Trans S/O
Ot7 x Reader
Summary: How they would comfort their trans s/o during a tough time(due to dysphoria, being misgendered, etc)
Warnings: mentions of and implied dysphoria and depression, lmk if I missed anything
A/N: Thanks to the lovely anon who requested this! Reminder that everyone's experiences are different, so I'm sorry if these don't work/fit for everyone, this is just based off my personal experience and research.
Masterlist
Requests are open
°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•
Seokjin: I feel like he would be a fan of care baskets, since he read somewhere that they can help. He would try to find ways to take you mind off things, whether it's cooking together, playing games or starting a debate over something really dumb. Nothing is off limits so long as he can get you to smile.
Yoongi: As with everything else, his approach is quiet and relaxed. He'll ask you what he can do/what you need in that moment, knowing that what worked last time might not work now. He's good at slipping little affirmations into conversation, even if it's just restating your pronouns.
Hobi: I've said it before, he is comfort personified. If you're comfortable with being touched, he'll want to cuddle you. If not, he'll sit with you and talk about whatever you want. Another fan of care baskets for quick ideas and distractions. Very receptive to your needs as they change from day to day.
Namjoon: Normally, I would say he'd wanna talk it out with you, and while that does happen, in those moments when your feeling really down, he really just wants to get you out of your head and find something to do together to help put you at ease, whether that's going out or staying in and watching a movie.
Jimin: He's a big believer in self-care days/nights. Favorite clothes or pjs, ordering your comfort foods, doing any gender affirming care or activities with you, if you're comfortable with him joining. If you need to talk, he's super reassuring, reminding you of how far you've come and how proud he is of you.
Taehyung: He's big on little gestures that remind you of his support. He likes surprising you with gifts that are gender affirming, even if it's just a keychain that he saw in the checkout line. On days when you're feeling really dysphoric, he'll cover the mirrors for you and set up a cozy evening watching your favorite shows, with Yeontan in your lap.
Jungkook: King of distractions. If you need to get your mind off things, he's ready with 113 different ideas, just say go. If you need to talk about anything, he'll gladly sit with you for hours and let you vent your frustrations. He's top priority is your comfort and letting you know that he's here for you no matter what.

Did you know it wasn't Yeontan in the Rainy Days mv but some other who looked like him- 💀
And we were all fawning over Tannie and celebrating his debut. 😭 Tae said it in his live yesterday. It left me dumbfounded.
I missed his live but I opened twitter while at work just a few hours ago and finally caught up. The realisation that we were being deceived got me like 😐😐😐
It took me another look at the MV to realise that the pup was different than Tannie (how did I miss the different shades of their fur is beyond me 🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️)
Tannie is (still) officially an actor now he even got a double lol

Kim Yeontan, Cupid Extraordinaire
Summary: Yeontan has had it. It is time to take his human's love life into his hands- or rather, paws.
Pairing: Taehyung x reader
Genre: fluff
Rating: SFW
WC: 1.9k
Recommended song to listen to while reading: it's Definitely You by V and Jin of BTS
🎄This fic is a gift, created through @bangtansecretsanta and is for @daechwitatamic. Hi Jo!! Surprise! I’m Eggnogg, your secret santa! Hope you enjoy this fic and that it helps you carry through the last few days of work. Have a safe trip, and stay warm! (*^.^*) 🎄
Kim Yeontan has had it.
He loves his human, he really does, but boy, Taehyung is really getting on his nerves.
Yeontan could not understand why six months ago Taehyung suddenly changed his usual grooming salon to the one further away. It took him a couple of sessions to realise that his human actually had a crush on the owner- you. So Yeontan did what he could to help- he barked and growled at everyone, but put on his best charms when you handled him. That way, it was guaranteed that only you and you alone would do his grooming, and thus giving his human more chances to interact with you.
Kim Yeontan, genius.
Kim Taehyung, not so much.
Because despite Yeontan’s effort and putting his reputation on the line, Taehyung still has not made any move on you. The human would take him from you after the session, make small meaningless talk, leave the salon; then, once at home, he would rue to the dog, regretting not asking more about your day, complimenting your choice of music or the cute dog sweater you always have on. Yeontan would just huff and roll his eyes.
So today, as he lies on the soft little pad on your work-station, while you dry and brush his hair, Yeontan decides he has to do something major- BIG- to make sure his human does not miss his chances, again. The thing is, as much as Yeontan is tired of listening to Taehyung’s whines about you, he really likes you too, maybe even more than his human does. You have the best scent in the whole world, and the nicest smelling shampoos that satisfy his senses just so. And your fingers? Oh, don’t get him started- they are so soft and deft that he always purrs whenever you massage him. He wants those fingers on him all the time, not just once a month for just an hour. All the more Yeontan has to succeed today- no more lost time because his human is being an idiot.
“Almost done?” A gruff voice from your assistant, the feline-looking human, snaps Yeontan out of his thoughts.
“Almost,” you confirm. “Is Taehyung-ssi here yet?”
Your assistant scoffs. “Don’t worry, you look good.”
“Shut up, Yoongi! I’m just asking!”
Yoongi snickers. “Then there’s no need to get so testy! Control the blushing though, your ears are so red. Your crush is showing.”
Yeontan’s ears perk up. Oh, this is interesting.
“Can you just go clean up? We have no more appointments for the day.” You instruct Yoongi, then you bend down to look Yeontan in the eye. “Don’t tell your daddy that, okay? My ego can’t take being rejected by someone so handsome.”
“I bet he likes being called ‘daddy’ too!” Yoongi pipes in.
“Shut up, Yoongi!”
Yeontan purrs in satisfaction. Excellent, this will be a lot easier than Yeontan has expected.
Yeontan smells his human arriving and immediately sits up. You have put a Christmas ribbon on his collar, and he feels confident of his plan. When the bell on the salon door jingles, he watches you patting your cheeks and taking a deep breath.
“Hello, Taehyung-ssi! Your son is all ready for Christmas!” You lead Yeontan out towards the reception area. Yeontan can sense your nervousness, so he yips, telling you not to be because he’s got this.
“Hello, _______-ssi! Ah, Yeontan-ah, look how cute you are!” Yeontan yips and spins in circles, showing off your work. The two humans laugh at his antics, and you pass the leash to Taehyung.
“He looks so handsome, as always after you do your magic on him.” Yeontan wants to scoff at his human’s lame line, but notices your ears getting redder, so perhaps that actually works for you. “Oh, this is for you, just a little Christmas and thank you gift for, uh, you.”
Taehyung takes out a small black box from his bag and passes it to you. You splutter as you receive it. “Oh, you really shouldn’t have, Taehyung-ssi!”
“Yeontan really likes coming here, and you’re a really great dog groomer, so I just- well, we- want to thank you for everything.”
You thank him again and at his urging, opens the box.
“It’s from the Pink Hamster cafe in my neighbourhood. I really like their chocolates, so I thought, you might like them too. I’m not sure if you’ve had them before though, but you know, it’s really good, and the owners are friends of mine, and I like supporting local businesses, so yeah,” Taehyung takes a deep breath. “I hope you like it.”
Yeontan turns to watch you. You bow a couple of times, thanking his human, and Yeontan yips a few times, encouraging him to say more. But Taehyung just inhales deeply and makes preparations to leave. “Let’s go, Tan-ah, let’s go home.”
Oh no, not yet. Yeontan still has a lot to do.
Before Taehyung can move, Yeontan uses all his might to surge forward, yanking his human forward closer to you. You yelp at the sudden movement and raise your hands up to catch Taehyung’s body, in the process dropping the box of chocolate to the floor. Yeontan almost gets distracted by the smell of the chocolate, but he catches himself in time and continues to run around Taehyung and you, his leash looping around both your legs, trapping you together.
Once he feels the leash getting tight, he stops and admires his work. You and Taehyung are pressed chest to chest, trying not to hold onto each other, even though both are losing balance by the way your feet are tied together with his leash. Satisfied, Yeontan wriggles out of his collar, his head easily popping out. With his newfound freedom, he saunters over to sniff at the fallen chocolates.
All this while, both humans have been rendered speechless, but you and Taehyung start shouting at him to stay away from the chocolates. The noise brings out the feline-human, who only laughs gleefully upon finding the scene before him.
“Yoongi, help! We got tangled! And the chocolate! Get Yeontan away from the chocolates!”
Yoongi, still chuckling, picks up the chocolates from the floor and puts them back in the box. “Lucky these are individually wrapped, otherwise they’ll go to waste,” he mutters. When he meets Yeontan’s eyes, he whispers conspiratorially. “Did you do all this, Tan-ah? You cheeky dog.”
Yeontan yips at him, telling him to pick up the chocolates and go away. To his surprise, the human winks, seeming to understand his grand plan.
“Chocolate will be safe here,” Yoongi places the box on a high shelf, then smiles at the two tangled humans, before going back inside.
“Yoongi! Yoongi!” You shriek, calling him back to no avail.
“Oh my god, _______-ssi, I’m so sorry,” Taehyung apologizes, “I don’t know what on earth gets into Yeontan!”
“It’s okay, it’s okay,” you place your hands on Taehyung’s shoulders. “Let’s just untangle ourselves. Can you wiggle your feet a bit?”
Taehyung tries to do what you suggest, but with little result. “It’s quite tight, I don’t have enough room. Wait, let me try to reach for the end of the leash.” He bends down, but because of the position he is stuck in with you, you end up losing your balance again and almost topple over. He catches you in time, however, and with his hands on your sides, helps you to straighten yourself.
“Well, that doesn’t quite work either.” He sighs.
“Yoongi!” You scream again for your assistant.
Yeontan continues to watch you and Taehyung, pleased with himself.
“Do you think we can shuffle to that seat there? Maybe one of us can sit down and it’ll be easier to take this thing off.” Taehyung proposes.
“Yes, good idea!” You exclaim. “But, uh, we have to hold on so we don’t fall.”
“Ah, yes of course. I guess you can just put your hands around me? I mean, my shoulders! My shoulders, put your hands there.” Taehyung clears his throat. “And uh, is it okay if I hold you here?”
You nod and Taehyung grips the sides of your arms.
“Okay, ready?” “Yup. On three we start shuffling together.” You affirm.
“Okay. One, two, three!”
Yeontan takes a step back as the two humans start wriggling around. It reminds him a little of a caterpillar he found once in the park.
You suddenly stop, however, when Yoongi is back in the reception area, with his jacket and bag… and a bowl of dog food?
“Yoongi? You’re leaving?”
“Yes. Have fun with,” Yoongi waves his hands, “whatever it is you’re doing.”
“No, Yoongi, please, you have to help us!” You plead.
Your assistant chuckles and places the bowl of food near Yeontan. “Good boy. Enjoy dinner and entertainment.”
“Yoongi!”
“So,” the man simply puts on his beanie and buttons up his jacket, ready for the wintry weather outside. “in case she forgets to mention- for whatever reason- she and our friends are having a get together here on Christmas day. Bring a plate or a bottle if you’d like. We’ll eat, get drunk and watch Muppet Christmas Carol. Oh, and definitely bring Yeontan too. There’ll be lots of other dogs he can play with.”
“Yoongi!” You hiss at him.
“Okay, then, have fun you two!”
Yeontan is too busy enjoying his food when the feline-human leaves, but he does not miss the gummy smile and two thumbs up he gives you from the window.
“Oh my god,” you groan, “he could’ve at least helped!”
“Don’t worry, ______-ssi, we’re almost there!”
Yeontan perks up at his human’s voice. There is more confidence in it, so Yeontan yips at him in approval.
You laugh and rest your head on Taehyung’s shoulder. “This is so funny.” Your body starts to shake as you laugh more loudly. He starts laughing too, and without saying anymore words, you both continue to shuffle towards the seat.
Finally you reach your destination, and Taehyung volunteers to sit down so he can untangle the mess his dog has caused.
Yeontan observes you looking away and biting your lip when his human reaches down to your bound feet. The position is awkward considering your close proximity, and Taehyung’s face is so close to your outer thighs. He stares at Yeontan as he unwraps the leash.
You should be thanking me, Yeontan mumbles. His human narrows his eyes at him.
Your feet free at last, you take a step back to give space for Taehyung to straighten up.
“Maybe I should get a shorter leash?”
You cover your face as you laugh. “That’s a good idea.”
You both stand awkwardly facing each other, and Yeontan promises himself to nip his human’s foot if he stays silent for another second.
“Um, can we buy you dinner,” Taehyung glances at his dog, “to make up for what happened?”
Yeontan yips and spins in circles. Bravo, human!
You look taken aback by Taehyung’s request, and you look at Yeontan as well. The dog stops spinning and trots over to you. He stands on his hind legs, while he paws at your leg.
Say yes! He’s really fun, you will like him a lot!
You smile at his antics. “Okay,” you agree. “Just give me a few minutes to close up?”
Taehyung nods and watches you fondly as you go back inside. Then he picks up Yeontan’s collar to put it back on him.
“You,” he squeezes Yeontan’s face in his hands, “you are something, Tan-ah.”
Yeontan licks his nose. Taehyung ruffles his hair and places a kiss on his head.
“Thanks for the push, son.”
Ta da! Hope you enjoyed reading this, Jo! Happy Holidays!

Can you write a fluffy jimin oneshot where he gets jealous of your new puppy bc u were drowning the puppy in attention leaving jimin behind.
Clingy, fluffy, whiney Jimin is my weakness 😩
Puppy Love
Pairing: Park Jimin x Reader
Genre: Fluff, crack
Summary: You didn’t think your 27 year old boyfriend would act this way after you’ve gotten a puppy.
A/N: HI BABE idk if you are alive 😭 but here is this long, overdue writing for you <3 forgive me pls I stopped writing for months and then here I am, back ?? Hopefully this goes well. Enjoy!
-
When Tae and his dog, Yeontan, came over to visit the new apartment that Jimin and you have just finished moving into, you couldn’t help the aggressive cuteness growing in your heart. You decided that maybe getting a new puppy would be good for Jimin and you, and your little apartment.
“Really? That’ll be great! We could have pet play dates!” Tae exclaimed over the phone after you have just told him about your idea.
“I know right! And it’ll be a great surprise too!” You reply, already imagining Jimin’s reaction.
“Alright, I have to go now, but let me know how it goes!” Tae said his goodbye as you agreed.
You jumped off your shared bed excitedly, in a hurry to put on your shoes and get the newest family member today. Jimin was still at work, so you had all day to get a puppy until he came home.
-
“And this is Levi. We found him on the side of a road on a rainy day, so we took him in,” The worker said, showing you the light brown puppy.
“Oh my gosh, he is so cute!” You grinned from ear to ear, playing with the puppy a little bit.
“He seems to really like you; he’s never this energetic when people come to see him,” She commented, admiring how the puppy instantly started to play with you.
“Really? Wow, maybe he’s the one,” You gasped, picking up the puppy and holding him to your chest.
“Well, if that’s so, then Levi finally has a home to go to!”
You nodded, looking back at the puppy in your arms.
-
“And this is your new home, buddy! Do you like it?” You giggled as you opened Levi’s cage, letting him explore his new home as he barked happily.
“Daddy’s not home yet, but in the meantime, why don’t we set up your stuff and toys?” You kind of splurged on Levi’s needs, but you couldn’t help it! You loved the puppy too much.
After a long evening of putting up Levi’s stuff, it was already 10pm, meaning that Jimin will be home any minute now.
You picked up the small puppy in your arms, walking to the front door just as Jimin came in.
“Hey ba- is that a puppy?” Jimin gaped, looking at the tiny little creature in your arms.
“Surprise! This is Levi, the newest addition to this family,” You exclaimed, showing him Levi.
“Oh my gosh, baby, he’s so cute. You got us a puppy?” He laughed, taking the puppy from you.
“Yep! I figured since we moved into a new apartment together, why not get a pet too?”
“You are so cute, pretty girl. This is great; I love you,” Jimin smiled before giving you a peck on the lips.
“I love you too, minnie,” You reply before giving a kiss to Levi as well.
-
“Baaabe, when are you coming to bed?” Jimin whined from your shared bed.
“Soon! I’m almost done teaching Levi this trick,”
“You two have been going at it for almost three hours now! Don’t you miss me?” He frowned.
“I always miss you, you big baby. Just give me five more minutes and then I’ll come to bed,” You teased.
After 15 minutes, you still weren’t in bed and Jimin had become even whinier.
“Levi’s taking up all of your attention and I don’t like it,” Jimin pouted as he stood in front of you, frowning while giving you the saddest eyes.
“Jimin, he’s a puppy, of course he’s going to need all of my attention. You should be giving him attention too, you are the dad!”
“I already gave him a lot of attention earlier! It’s time to go to bed!”
“Okay, okay, I’ll be with you in a minute,” You promised, taking the furball into your arms and walking over to his bed.
“Time to go to bed, buddy. Mommy will play with you tomorrow morning, okay?” You whispered to Levi before putting him down. He circled his bed a few times before finally going to sleep.
You admired your puppy before turning and walking back to the bed, where your cute boyfriend laid in, all snuggled up with a pouty face, waiting for you.
“My clingy baby, have I been neglecting you?” You giggled, sliding into the warm bed next to Jimin.
“Yes. Now you have to give me extra cuddles,” He murmured.
You hummed.
“-and kisses, and hugs, and attention,”
You laughed at his neediness, “Okay, minnie. Anything else?”
“Hmm. No, just want you to love me now,”
“That I will definitely do,” You assured him, running your hand through his fluffy mop of hair.

dearest ana, if pressed, and you had to watch bts members eat for an hour... in order of most watchable to least watchable... I MUST KNOW. sincerely, hope xoxo
okay hopie, you know compiling this list was torture for me, but i did it anyway because i love you and can't deny you a thing. so without further ado, your bangtan eaters ranked from least to most obnoxious:
kim namjoon 7/10
most points for overall cleanliness and decorum. enjoys eating and demonstrates very little food aggression, for the most part willing to share. eats (mostly) with his mouth closed. meals are relatively calm and organized. did, however, eat a fortune cookie whole — paper intact.
kim taehyung 6/10
hungry all the time and will do anything to eat. a reputation for obtaining food though shady means. repeatedly caught on camera stealing snacks and meals from other members. one half of the infamous dumpling incident.
jung hoseok 5/10
watching him eat is almost unbearable, and you guys know how i feel about this man. has delicate fingers and hands which seems to help his case overall, but seems to prefer using those hands instead of utensils. one time i watched him obliterate a churro in three bites -- which is actually not as sexy at it sounds.
park jimin 4/10
forever biting off more than he can chew. eats like a man three times his size. i have twice witnessed him take bites so large he was physically unable to chew and had to spit it out and try again. literally the only man on the planet hot enough to get away with it.
min yoongi 3/10
not shy in any way about eating on camera. not worried in any way about choking hazards. willing to (speak, scream, laugh) around a mouthful of food. once watched him pick up an entire half chicken with his chopsticks which was, admittedly, impressive.
kim seokjin 2/10
get marie kondo on the horn because seokjin is a mess. will eat anything that is not nailed down. will use any means necessary to get food to mouth; chopsticks, straws, fingers. ability to make food defy gravity, suctioning noodles from plate to mouth with powerful lung capacity. seems to prefer foods covered in sauces. bib recommended.
jeon jungkook 0/10
absolutely missed his calling as a wild animal. highly food aggressive, will and has reached over/under/through members to grab something he wants. always locked into a battle to the death with his (already dead) food. mean mugs his plates. sucks his fingers. one time watched this man deepthroat an entire kimbap which -- again -- is not actually as sexy as it sounds.
most watchable:
kim yeontan 10/10

One Way Ticket
Pairing: Kim Taehyung x Reader (ft. Yeontan bc Family)
Genre: Flufffff, established relationship, long distance relationship (not for long), and like, slight angst at the beginning if you squint your eyes and do a backflip
Word Count: 4k
Summary: Long distance relationships are never an easy thing, and although you and Taehyung had managed to make it work for four years and were used to not seeing each other that much already, he couldn’t help but feel like his birthday was ruined at the news of you being stuck at the airport due to a bad weather flight delay. However, although things didn’t quite go to plan, it only took for you to arrive two hours before the day was over for it to be his happiest of birthdays so far.
A/N: Hellooo, well, obviously this is for my man’s birthday 🥳💝 This story takes place in my Red Flags series’ timeline since one of you requested it and I thought it would be really cute, but you don’t need to have read it to understand what’s going on here. I hope you guys enjoy! please let me know your thoughts~
“You were supposed to be here today” Taehyung reminded you, unconsciously tightening his hold on the phone as his low voice did a good job at letting you know just how upset he was.
You sighed, that alone letting him know you weren’t having a good time with said fact that was just not happening anymore either. “I can’t control the weather, love…”
Now, he knew that. Of course he knew that. But right then, he really fucking wished you did control the weather. That way you wouldn’t be stuck in another continent still due to a snowstorm that had delayed, if not cancelled, all flights that week — a stupid snowstorm that was keeping you away from him for longer than you should have.
It was a joke. It had got to be a joke.
That was what Taehyung kept telling himself throughout the whole phone call, and continuing to believe —to wanting to believe— so even after you hung up.
You were supposed to arrive that night. That had been the plan all along. All his schedule he had rearranged so he could make sure that particular night he would spend with you. Just you and him. Since the very next day, also known as his birthday, he would have to go to rehearsal for BTS’ presentation on the 31th like every other year, he was looking forward the most to this night. He had it all planned out. Your flight would arrive at 8pm, he would pick you up and then the two of you would have dinner together back at your —now— shared place. You would wait up until midnight, have some cake afterwards, and then stay up late so you could, well, catch up on a few coupley things you had been missing out on for a good while now. After all, you had not seen each other in nearly five months.
It was funny, how he used to always say he would never be able to do long distance relationships when he was younger, yet here he was now, four years —and going strong— into one. It was hard as hell, he could not deny it, but he wouldn’t have had it any other way, not as long as he got to be with you in the end. And at the end of the day it was all worth it, for you had finally graduated uni back home, managed to find a job in Seoul, and were now moving in with him like the two of you had agreed on a long time ago, once you realised you were most definitely sticking together for as long as your lives allowed you to. So, even if he had to wait a little longer to see you, this time it was different, for you had only gotten a one way ticket, and he would never again have to drop you off at the airport and cling on to you like his life depended on it, somehow being harder for him to let go of you as the years went by.
Nevertheless, it sucked. Right then, it really fucking sucked. Five months had gone by without seeing you already and turns out he would now have to wait one or even two more days than planned? Bullshit. And that if he was being optimistic, because he swore to God he would lose his shit if you had to spend New Years Eve on a plane, alone. Not like you were spending it together to begin with either, since he had that thing to attend to, but you would at least have a good time with some of the friends you had made during the time you had stayed in Seoul for your uni’s exchange program, and who had now invited you over to a party you had oh-so-excitedly told him about.
That night, Taehyung went to bed late. Still wanting to believe with everything in him you were just pulling a prank on him like you loved to do every now and then, and that you would walk through the front door anytime with that tired face of yours after the long ass flights to Korea he was so used to by then — the same exhausted face that would light up as a bright smile took over your factions instead at the sight of him.
However, that night, you did not make it home. What you did make it to instead, was to be the first one to congratulate him on his day. Over the phone, yes, with the airport’s background noise and not in person like he had wanted to, yet there you were being once again the first one to do so, at exactly 00:00. And somehow, that alone was enough to make him happy before going to sleep. Not as happy as he would’ve been with getting to sleep with you in his arms, of course, but happy nevertheless.
He did not lose faith, though. The next morning, as he got ready to head out to rehearsal, he kept glancing at his apartment’s door over and over, still waiting for it to burst open anytime and for you to walk inside right after.
When that didn’t happen, he looked forward to the moment his members brought him his birthday cake as they waited in the dressing rooms for their turn to rehearse. Now, the guys hadn’t told him they were bringing him cake, but after all these years it was pretty much a given. And it would only make sense that you were there, right? Whether it was bringing the cake to him as everyone in the room sang the traditional birthday song to him, or showing up as a surprise right after.
Once that didn’t happen either, he couldn’t hide his disappointment anymore — still being grateful to everyone else for trying to make his special day a memorable one, yet not being able to fully enjoy it without you there. Even falling in the cliché of wishing for you to be there as he blew out the candles. That was truly all he wanted, after all.
And once his schedule for the day was finally cleared up, his last hope was walking into the apartment that night and seeing you already there waiting for him.
Again, that didn’t happen.
Biting the inside of his cheek as he walked into an empty apartment, although Yeontan was there to excitedly welcome him back home and had managed to bring a weak smile to his face, he couldn’t help but feel his eyes well up with tears. Telling himself over and over how stupid it was to be upset over something neither of you could control, he contemplated calling you for a few seconds, shaking that thought off with a tilt of his head and deciding to go take a hot shower instead. No matter how bad he wanted to, if he did call you, he knew for sure he would end up being even more upset than he already was, and then you would end up being upset as well, and that he did not want.
Not even bothering on drying his hair later that night, he changed into his pyjamas and called Tan to go keep him some company like it was usual by then. Watching the fluffy dog make himself comfortable on the mattress, Taehyung turned the lights off so he could get into bed for once and for all — wanting nothing but to sleep that day off so you would hopefully be there by the morning. Although it would no longer be his birthday, he wished he could at least get to spend some time together before he had to head out once again.
Before he could completely doze off, however, he felt Yeontan snap up from his sleep and effusively wave his tail from side to side as he ran to the closed door of the bedroom. Letting out a tired groan, Taehyung glanced over at the clock on his nightstand, staring at the number ten on it for a second before he turned the lamp on and fixed his eyes on his excited pup.
“I already fed you,” his voice came out hoarse at the lack of speaking, catching Tan’s attention for a second there before he was back at barking at the door. “Don’t tell me you want to go to the b—”
That’s when the sound of a key making it inside the front door’s lock caught his attention. And, you see, only two people had a key to the apartment. One was his, of course, and the other one, much to his excitement right then, was yours.
Not even having time to catch his breath, he jumped off the bed and opened the bedroom’s door, watching Yeontan sprint down the already illuminated hallway as you had just turned its lights on — a huge smile parting his lips at the sight of you, not being able to hold back a giggle of his at the way you had panicked and closed the door harder than you had intended to, so Tan wouldn’t be able to run out of the apartment.
“Tan-ie bean!” you excitedly greeted the pup first thing as he reached your side.
Struggling to move past your suitcase, you managed to kneel down to pet the cute ball off fluff with one hand as you held the other one as far up as you could, holding a strawberry cupcake with a single candle on it that you had already lit up right before coming in — maybe not your brightest of ideas.
Staring up at your boyfriend, who was still on the other end of the hallway, you smiled brightly and stood up straight as he came closer. “Happ—”
Before you could even finish what you had initially planned to sing and had by then settled for cheerfully chanting instead, Taehyung had already pulled you into his arms — unintentionally blowing out the candle as he had rushed over to you way faster than he’d like to admit.
“I missed you” he mumbled, wrapping his arms tighter around your figure and burying his face in the crook of your neck as he felt his heart at ease.
You smiled sweetly, wrapping your arms around him as well —being careful enough not to stain his designer pyjamas with the cupcake’s icing— and pressing down a small kiss to his shoulder.
“I missed you, too” you cooed, hearing him giggle when you planted a kiss on his neck this time.
“Why didn’t you tell me you were getting on a plane already?”
“Because I thought I would get here before you came back from rehearsal and I’d surprise you. You know, wait for you with dinner and whatnot…” you pouted. “But then of course I had trouble with my luggage and got here way too late. So I got you a cupcake and a candle instead!”
Taehyung giggled at the way you had ever so cheerfully said that last part, pulling slightly away from your body so he could glance at the cupcake in your hand you had just raised up in a victorious way.
“You could’ve just showed up barehanded, said ‘happy birthday’, and I would’ve been the happiest”.
“You interrupted me when I was about to tell you ‘happy birthday’, though” you huffed over dramatically.
Letting out a light laugh, he securely cupped your face in his warm hands and rested his forehead on yours, smiling blissfully as ever at how close he was able to have you right then, at how he was able to feel your warmness in his hands after all those months. “You can say it again now”.
“But you already blew out the candle” you pouted, bringing the treat closer to him so he could see your point.
“I guess this is the moment my wish comes true then”.
“You didn’t even get to make a wish, you idiot” you rolled your eyes.
“Oh, I did” he nodded his head determinedly. “Earlier today. And not to brag about it, but it already became true”.
“Was it perhaps for me to arrive today?” you coyly batted your eyelashes, earning a very visible roll of eyes from him.
“Cocky, aren’t we?”
“I mean,” you shrugged, taking a step back from him and his hold. “I can always go back home and send your actual wish ov—”
“Yah,” he stopped you as you dramatically turned around to pretend to leave and Yeontan followed right after, pulling you back to him by your wrist. “I didn’t spend pretty much my entire birthday wishing for you to get here so you can leave me just like that” his eyes turned softer, yet still held that playful vibe in them. “Besides,” he pulled you closer, this time by your waist. “Funny how you said ‘go back home’ when this is your home now, baby” your heart skipped a beat at his remark, appreciating the way he looked up and puckered his lips as he pretended to fall deep in thought. “Hm… Maybe I misheard”.
You giggled at the way he had copied your overdramatic ways, bringing your free hand up to sweetly caress his cheek. “My bad, love”.
Taehyung smiled, with that boxy smile you fell in love with years ago, and nodded softly to let you know it was alright. “Can I get my birthday kiss now?” he murmured, ever so faintly brushing his longing lips against yours. “I’m kinda dying over here”.
Shaking your head in amusement as you laughed, you bit your lower lip. “Just kiss me already, you dork”.
So he did, not even dreaming of wasting another second before his lips hungrily crashed against yours. He had missed you like crazy, he always did, but right then, as your soft lips were pressing on his and your hand made its way from his cheek to the back of his head, entangling your fingers in his still damp hair, he realised just how bad he had craved your touch, how bad he had craved you.
Having him deepen the kiss, you couldn’t help but take one step back as you had lost your balance — his hand being quick to bring your body right back to press against his, later resting on your lower back to keep you steady as his other hand firmly cupped your cheek.
“Happy birthday” you mumbled against his mouth when you had pulled away to catch your breath, feeling the corners of his lips curve up before he pressed them to yours once more.
“It is now” he hummed, drawing tender circles with his thumb on your chin and not being able to hold back a giggle when it was you the one to steal a kiss from his mouth right then.
Your breath hitched when you felt his hands made their way down your body, letting out a squeal when they grabbed your thighs and picked you up without a warning — your arms wrapping tightly around his neck and legs around his waist as his hands were firmly placed on your ass to keep you from slipping down while he walked the two of you out of the hallway and into the living room, having Yeontan run past you two and go lie on the couch.
“Yah, I just got here and you’re already going for second base?” you teased him with raised eyebrows.
Taehyung shook his head, cockily raising one of his own. “I’ve earned my right to all bases a long time ago, I don’t know what you’re talking about”.
“Don’t get too cocky, Kim Taehyung” you warned him as he sat you down on the edge of the counter, being careful enough not to knock down one of the pictures of the two of you that were neatly displaying on it. “I might revoke all your rights”.
“You wouldn’t” he daringly squinted his eyes. “Not on my birthday”.
You threw your head back, letting out a loud laugh and placing the cupcake down on the counter before you went back to his eye level. “Only under two hours until it’s over, so...”
“You wouldn’t” he repeated confidently.
“What makes you so sure, old man?”
Shaking his head in amusement and deciding not to comment on the taunting name you had just called him, he didn’t even try to hide the smirk that was curving up the corners of his lips as he leaned in. “I just know”.
Not even trying to play it hard anymore, you met his lips in the middle, humming contentedly when he placed his hand behind your neck so he could take control over the kiss he was not quite willing to let go of yet. And neither were you, which is why your eyes remained closed and your lips slightly puckered up —clearly wanting more— when he suddenly pulled away one minute later.
“Okay, now tell me my birthday present!” he demanded.
Still being too stunned by the intoxicating kiss he had just given you, it took you a second to open your eyes after hearing his muffled yet excited words against your lips — eyes locking with his excited ones as his hands unconsciously rested on your thighs.
“Oh, it’s in my bag!” you jumped up once you managed to understand what he had meant. “Let me go get it”.
Although your words were meant for him to move aside so you could get up on your feet and rush over to the forgotten suitcase on the hallway, Taehyung did not move an inch — if anything, tightening the hold of his hands on your thighs to keep you from going anywhere.
“Not that one”.
Your eyebrows knitted together in confusion. “The cupcake?” you offered, earning a light laugh from him, along with a small shake of his head. “Sex? Because I know I was just threatening with revoking that right, but since it’s still your birthday, I mean...”
Taehyung laughed wholeheartedly, once again shaking his head no as he brought his face closer to yours. “Although I would love that and will take you up on that offer later,” his bold words managed to bring some heat to your cheeks. “That is not what I meant”.
“What did you mean then?”
“Just want you to tell me something...” he hinted, gently caressing your sides. “How long will you be staying, baby?”
You rolled your eyes when it finally hit you what he had meant all along. And you couldn’t help but laugh lightly at how such simple things were the ones that made him the happiest. “Well, considering I only got a one way ticket over here this time,” your heart sped up at the way his smile grew wider at the sound of that. “And that the rest of my stuff will arrive here in a few days… I’d say I’m staying for quite a long, long time”.
“How about forever?” he smiled brightly.
You giggled, tilting your head up in anticipation as you felt him lean in to press his mouth on yours. “I like the sound of that”.
“I love the sound of that” he agreed, pressing another kiss to your smiling lips.
And you truly did, for although you were leaving everything behind, your family, your childhood friends, your culture... it was easy as long as you had him. And even though you knew there would be times homesickness would hit you like a truck, especially when the time came and Taehyung would have to go on tour with his group, you were ready to start your new life here with him. You had already lived here once for a year, after all, the only difference being you now got to live with your long term boyfriend, and, of course, that you wouldn’t have to count down the days until you had to go back home and away from him anymore.
“Everything alright?” he wondered, catching up on the way you had momentarily spaced out.
“Mhm…” you were quick to reassure him with an eager nod of your head. “Now eat your birthday treat before I do” you threatened, grabbing the cupcake that had been lying next to you all along and bringing it up to his face.
Taehyung chuckled, pressing a lingering kiss to your neck that was sweetly followed by another one. “But I have my birthday treat right here…”
Although flustered by both his words and the way his lips kept peppering soft kisses all over the sensitive skin of your neck, you stood your ground. “Pretty sure I’m your girlfriend, but oh well”.
He chuckled once more — before you could react, dipping one of his long fingers on the icing and spreading a good amount of it on your lips. “Now you’re both”.
You didn’t really get to fully laugh at his playful antics before the sound of it was muffled by his mouth sucking on your bottom lip, his fingers holding onto your chin to keep you from pulling away as he deepened the kiss — making sure to remove every last trace of icing on your mouth before he slid his tongue into it.
Breaking the kiss for a brief second for what he thought was to catch your breath before bringing your already swollen lips back to his awaiting ones, he found himself letting his jaw drop when you opened your mouth not to kiss him once more, but to bring the infamous cupcake up to it and loudly bite down on it.
“Yah, that is my strawberry cupcake!” he called you out — although trying to act mad, having a hard time hiding his smile at the way you had just covered your full mouth as you laughed whilst trying to chew right then.
“You weren’t eating it, so…” you shrugged.
Before you could take another bite, however, he grabbed your wrist, quickly moving it up to his mouth instead and shoving the entire baked good into it in just one go.
Petrified after what just happened, you stared at your now empty hand — amazed by the way he had managed not to bite into your fingers with how fast and forceful his mouth had been, before your eyes fixed on your full-mouthed boyfriend as he struggled to chew the whole thing down.
“Mine” he stated, not minding to cover his mouth as he was almost done with it already.
“I tend to forget how big your mouth actually is” you admitted, mindlessly sucking the remains of icing from off your fingers.
Taehyung scoffed, rushing to swallow down so he could properly speak. “You out of all people should know what my mouth can d—”
“You know,” you cut him off before he could pronounce that last letter and bring his cocky point across. “Booking a return plane ticket sounds really tempting right now”.
“Oh, yeah?” he tauntingly raised one of his eyebrows, pulling you closer to the edge of the counter and making you wrap your legs around his waist. “Good thing from now on those return tickets will bring you right back to Seoul”.
That was what made him the happiest. After all those years of buying ticket after ticket, all those years of having to drop you off at the airport so you could go back home, all those years of having to wait for endless months just so you could see each other for a few days, all of that, was over now.
From that night on, this was your home. You, him and Yeontan, and of course, the eventual additions that would be made in a couple of years.
And that was the best part. No matter where you travelled to from now on, you would always just go visit abroad and return right here, back to him — never again being almost about to miss his birthday, for you would both go to sleep and wake up right next to him during all the upcoming ones, just like he had ached you to do every single day ever since you got together four years ago.

Wabi - Sabi 19
(n.) [a concept] the japanese art of finding beauty within imperfection
Pairing: Kim Taehyung (BTS) x Fem!Hybrid!Reader; Genre: Hybrid AU, Angst, Romance; Wordcount: 3.492; Rating: sfw, NC-17;Warnings: Blind!Reader, unhealthy sleeping habits, overworking, Taehyung forcing Yoongi and Y/N to take a vacation, a lot of nervousness, Taehyung not seeing anything for a while and making a fool of himself, also some disturbing facts about butterflies; Based on the blind hybrid prompt of @hybridfanfiction
Summary: Being a failure in the eyes of science you hadn’t much hope for being permanently adopted as a blind hybrid. Instead you focused on music, the only thing that brought you joy. Until a stranger with the deepest and most beautiful voice you ever had heard wanted to adopt you. Would he really keep you for more than three days?
Masterlist
“That’s it”, Taehyung announced, making you and Yoongi jump in surprise, “both of you will take a vacation.”
You turned around with a frown on your face, not understanding where Taehyung was coming from.
Yoongi on the other hand just leaned back in his chair and closed his eyes, humming in thought. “Is it that you miss Y/N’s presence around you?”
You heard the smirk playing over his lips when he asked Taehyung that question, knowing he wanted to tease the younger man. At the same time though you realised as well that you hadn’t seen Taehyung a lot recently.
Within a short amount of time you had made incredible progress thanks to Yoongi’s teaching and after trying to produce some samples and even a single he had asked you to work with him on an album. Which had occupied your mind most of the time.
“I do, yes”, Taehyung bluntly said, crossing his arms in front of his chest. “You spent more time with her than I do. For months. Until the early morning hours.”
You gnawed at your lower lip, the feeling of guilt twisting your insides uncomfortably. Now that Taehyung stated it like that, you noticed how you’ve stopped working later and later every day until you returned to your bed with Taehyung and Yeontan already fast asleep. “I’m sorry”, you whispered and lowered your head. You never intended to make Taehyung upset with you.
“If you promise me to work more reasonably, I won’t demand that vacation”, Taehyung sighed, rubbing his face. He felt tired, not having slept properly for some time now. Additionally to the fact it was already three in the morning and he was still awake. “It’s just that the both of you are working yourself to the bone. And as much as I know both of you are adults and in charge of your own lifes…”
“I know, I know”, Yoongi interrupted him quickly. “I should have been a better boss and kept the work between working hours. One just doesn’t stop so easily when inspired.” He chuckled lowly and stretched his limbs, resulting in a few cracks in his joints.
Another pang of guilt shot through you, hearing how stiff Yoongi sounded from sitting in the same position for hours now. “I’m sorry”, you whispered again.
“Don’t be, don’t be.” Yoongi patted your lower arm and got up from his chair. “Just take this little vacation Taehyung wants and afterwards we figure out a healthy work schedule for the both of us.”
Taehyung squinted his eyes, knowing full well that Yoongi wasn’t one to have a healthy work schedule at all. But he refrained himself from saying anything, focusing on the prospect of being with you for longer than a few hours instead.
“We’re starting your vacation with a huge amount of sleep.” Taehyung told you and helped you up from the chair, your fingers immediately intertwining as he guided you out of the studio.
Soon enough Taehyung and you dropped onto the bed, making Yeontan yip in protest before he decided to continue his sleep.
Taehyung pulled you into his embrace, even wrapping one leg around your form and sighed in content. “I really missed this the most”, he mumbled and rubbed his nose against your temple, placing a kiss on it right afterwards.
You snickered and turned in his hold to face him, your hands moving up to his face. You hesitantly traced invisible lines over his soft skin, trying to create a picture within your head. You traced his sharp jawlines, his straight nose, his thick eyebrows and his plush lips.
Even though you were able to use a sort of echolocation with Yoongi’s help, you still relied mostly on your other senses. Hoseok had told you that bats had special organs to produce pictures of their area inside their mind, which you didn’t have. Therefore you were only able to use sound to know whether something was in your way or not.
Your mind trailed back to all the hours Yoongi had spent on helping you, neglecting his own work in the process. And now he sent you on a vacation.
“How does a vacation work?” Your voice was barely above a whisper, unsure whether Taehyung had already fallen asleep or not, but you couldn’t stop yourself from asking.
He hummed lowly, the vibrations sending tingles all over your body. “It depends on you. You basically have a few days off of work and how you spend those is entirely up to you. Some people just stay at home and sleep most of the time, others travel or catch up on things they had no time for.”
“So I can spend my vacation with you?”
You heard Taehyung’s heartbeat speed up momentarily, before it resumed its constant rhythm. “If you want to, of course you can.”
“Only if you want to spend time with me as well.”
Taehyung chuckled and tightened his hold on you. “Wouldn’t have suggested a vacation in the first place if I didn't want to spend more time with you, little one.”
You snuggled into his arms and hid your large grin on your face. Which always appeared whenever he called you that nickname. “So what are we doing during this vacation? Do we do something special? Just sleep a lot or something completely different?”
“All of it.”
“All of it?” Your ears twitched with curiosity. “Even something special?” You could feel your heart thrumming in your ribcage, the excitement bubbling inside of you.
“Especially that.” Taehyung chuckled again and kissed the crown of your head. “I’ll keep it a surprise until it happens though.”
You whined lowly, immediately pouting and wriggling around in his hold. “That’s unfair.”
Taehyung yawned loudly and just hugged you tighter. “Won’t budge on that.” He moved slightly around on the mattress until he felt satisfied with his position.
You sighed but resisted your urge to ask further questions, sensing how tired he actually was. You remembered how late it was and snuggled against his form, deciding to try and sleep as well. “Good night, Tae.”
You kind of forgot about that conversation over the next few days, where you always slept in, had a wonderful breakfast with Taehyung that either he or the both of you prepared and the rest of the day you just lounged around on the couch, cuddled, listened to music or played with Yeontan.
So when Taehyung announced it was time for that special thing to happen, your ears twitched in confusion. It took you several moments before it clicked inside your mind and you remembered what he was talking about.
“It is?” You jumped up from the couch and giddily hurried over to Taehyung, who stood near the windows. “What are we going to do?”
Taehyung chuckled and pulled you in a hug, kissing your forehead. “It’s still a surprise, but the weather is wonderful today. It seems quite warm even, so you might want to dress lightly.”
“We’re going somewhere?” Your ears straightened with curiosity and excitement before you wriggled yourself out of Taehyung’s hug and dashed towards your room. “I’ll be ready in a minute!” You called over your shoulder right as you vanished into your room.
“It won’t run away!” Taehyung shook his head in amusement, knowing you would be ready in a minute no matter what he said. It didn’t bother him though. Quite the contrary actually. With your excitement Taehyung noticed his own excitement growing and even overshadowing his nervousness.
“So where are we heading?” You asked probably for the umpteenth time already, trying to figure out Taehyung’s destination from his driving.
“You’ll know when we get there.”
“And when do we get there?”
“Have you ever been this persistent before? I feel like you spent too much time with Jimin. He gets just like that whenever he wants to know something.” Taehyung laughed and turned the car around another corner.
Once he parked the car you piped up again, your ears turning around excitedly to pick up any sound from outside the car in hopes to identify where you had gone to. You frowned when you couldn’t hear anything specific. There were the usual sounds of birds, you heard in a lot of parks, some light chatter from people who walked around on gravel pathways.
“Where are we?”
Taehyung didn’t answer your question and stepped out of the car instead.
You inhaled deeply from the short gust of wind that came inside when he opened the door. The rich scents of a dozen flowers filled your sense of smell, making you sneeze involuntarily.
“That was adorable”, Taehyung commented as he opened the door on your side of the car.
“I didn’t mean to..”
“Nobody plans to sneeze. At least yours sounds adorable and not like some sort of alarm or dying walrus.”
You snorted at the audible image Taehyung had planted inside your mind and stepped out of the car.
A light breeze engulfed you and played with your hair strands, sending another wave of scents towards you.
“Are we at a flower shop?”
“Not quite. It’s a botanical garden. I thought you might enjoy a stroll through all the different plants and flowers.”
Taehyung sounded almost bashful or unsure with his statement, if you didn’t know him better. Taehyung was never nervous or unsure of something. You always noticed him as a strong independent person, who never doubted his decisions.
“I love the idea”, you smiled brightly and reached forward, letting your hand glide down to Taehyung’s hand once you felt his arm underneath your fingertips. “Can you tell me the names of the different flowers when we get there?”
“I will.”
He let you guide the way, following your nose or rather the scents you were most curious about. Whenever you reached a flower or a plant he told you the name and additional info that stood on little signs next to them. Taehyung also tried to describe them as best as he could with associations you could refer to.
You had no idea how long you actually walked around the gardens and you were pretty sure you had walked just from one end to another all the time since you followed the strongest scent and not the pathway.
“How about we take a short break?” Taehyung asked and gently tugged at your hand, sensing the tiredness in your legs.
“Yes, please.”
Without another word Taehyung pulled you along with him.
The gravel underneath your feet changed to stepping stones right before Taehyung opened a door and guided you through it.
The air felt heavy from the moisture and the increased warmth around you, filled with the sweet scent of nectar and overly ripe fruits.
Your ears twitched slightly and turned around quickly. Somewhere in the distance you heard water splashing from a small waterfall. In another corner you heard some insects buzz but most importantly you heard soft flaps right above your head.
“What is this?” You whispered, focusing on the soft sounds above your head.
“A butterfly house”, Taehyung whispered back, glancing around to see dozens of different butterflies gliding through the air. “There is a bench only a few steps away. Are you fine with resting here?”
You nodded and followed Taehyung to that bench, sitting down and immediately scooting closer to Taehyung to lean against him. “It smells really sweet in here”, you mumbled and crinkled your nose, “like a banana you forgot to eat in time.”
Taehyung hummed and looked around. “They do have some tablets with fruits hanging around here, where the butterflies land on to feast.”
“Namjoon once told me that butterflies even drink blood before he got interrupted by Jimin, who wouldn’t allow him to ruin my innocence.” You flinched slightly when Taehyung suddenly coughed loudly and started to hit his chest frantically. “Oh no”, you turned towards him, hands hovering above his form since you didn’t know what to do, “did you not know that? Is that what Jimin meant with innocence? He said butterflies are pure and graceful and magical.”
“I did not.” Taehyung croaked and hit his chest a few more times before he was able to regain his composure. “And I surely won’t see them the same way ever again.”
“I’m sorry.”
“Don’t be, little one. It’s not your fault.” Taehyung wrapped his arm around your form and pulled you against his side again, hoping to distract you from that topic. Not because he never heard of that specific fact about butterflies but more so because Jimin’s choice of words had hit him out of nowhere. Though he should be used to the antics of his best friend.
“They are cute”, you mumbled and stilled as much as you could, once you felt one of the butterflies landing on your left ear. “Despite all the strange things Namjoon told me about them.” A small giggle escaped your lips as the butterfly moved around and tickled you, making your ear twitch lightly.
The butterfly flew up into the air but quickly settled back down on your ear. The wings opened and closed slowly, drawing Taehyung’s attention.
“Do you think I taste good?”
Again Taehyung started to cough violently, not having expected such a question. “Why- why do you ask?”
“Namjoon said butterflies have their taste buds in their feet. And Jin said if a butterfly lands on you they just want to know what you taste like.”
Taehyung hummed before he leaned forward and quickly licked a small stripe over your cheek, making you squeal in surprise. “Mhm, sweet. Just as I thought.” He grinned at your flustered state, glad he finally turned the tables.
You pressed your fingers against your cheek, feeling the heat increasing right underneath your fingertips while you sputtered some unintelligible nonsense.
Taehyung chuckled lowly and grabbed your hand before he stood up. “Let’s go! I still have one more place I wanted to take you to.”
You let yourself drag behind him, your mind still trying to process the situation before, still processing the feeling of Taehyung’s tongue on your skin - the warmth and wetness, the soft lick and the spark it sent through your whole body.
You were so in your daze and thoughts that you hadn’t even realised that Taehyung and you got back to the car and drove somewhere else until he opened your car door again and helped you out of the car.
“Oh?” You turned around and listened to your surroundings, hearing the late evening buzzing of the town with people leaving their workplaces, the engines of cars running and light chatter of friend groups. “We’re back in town.”
“Yeah.” Taehyung didn’t say anymore and just intertwined your fingers again, pulling you along the street.
Shortly after Taehyung opened a door and led you into a building, stopping there with you. A small chime ringed above your heads and the scent of dark wood invaded your nose.
“Welcome to Dialogue’s. Do you have a reservation?”
“Yes, Kim Taehyung. Two people.”
Your head whipped to Taehyung, surprised to hear he actually made a reservation and didn’t just come here spontaneously.
“Right. Have you ever been to our restaurant before?”
“No. I only saw recommendations online.”
“Wonderful. Word spreads.” The person in front of you snickered lighthearted. “So you know what kind of restaurant we are?”
“I do, but my date doesn’t.” Taehyung told them and squeezed your hand. “I made it a surprise.”
“Ah, then let me do a quick run down before I guide you to your table. Dialogue’s is a restaurant in the dark. It’s like an event restaurant to make your dinner reservations more exciting. Except for the entrance and the toilets everything is without light. We ask you to remove any clothing that might illuminate the dark and refrain from using your smartphones as well as we want to maintain the darkness.”
“Tae, you won’t be able to see then?” You turned to him, your ears expectant to hear his answer. You could hear his heartbeat quickening and how he scratched himself with a finger.
“I thought it would be interesting to know how you live your whole life. Is it okay? If I overstepped something we can stop right here.”
“So you’re blind, Miss? Most of our staff is blind as well. They will help your boyfriend to stay comfortable throughout his stay in the darkness.”
You felt your lower lip tremble, feeling touched by Taehyung’s thoughtfulness and how he wanted to be even closer to you and your experience of life.
“Little one? Are you alright with this?” His voice was layered with worry and his hands immediately came up to your shoulders. “I didn’t mean to upset you.”
“You didn’t.” You shook your head and smiled softly. “I’m touched and excited about this. Are you sure you’ll be able to eat dinner in total darkness though? Maybe you should ask for a bib before we get the food.”
Taehyung gasped in mock offence. “I will proudly wear all the stains I get during this experience.”
You snorted and shook your head again before you hugged Taehyung tightly. “Thank you.”
“If you want I can lead you to your table now.”
You followed that person, having no trouble focusing on their steps, but as soon as you walked through two curtains, you heard Taehyung curse lowly.
“Damn, there really is no light in here.”
Excitement filled your whole body and you immediately squeezed Taehyung’s hand. You had been to Jin’s restaurant several times and visited small ones at the mall when Jimin had dragged you to another shopping trip, but you never experienced something like this.
Taehyung now clung to your side, his hands becoming slightly clammy from his nervousness. He never considered how much he actually relied on his sense of sight until now. Even at night there were some sort of outlines visible but right now he wasn’t able to see anything.
“It’s alright”, you whispered and patted Taehyung’s lower arm with your free hand. “Do you want a moment to adjust? It must feel strange to lose a sense so suddenly.”
“I, uh, let’s just get to the table first.”
You could feel how relieved Taehyung felt once he sat at the table. He barely listened to the instructions on how to order something, too focused on touching everything on top of the table.
“Okay, I think I got it now”, he mumbled and tapped on the surface of the table. “I’m ready to eat.”
You snickered at his overly confident tone, knowing he tried to convince himself more than anyone else. You still appreciated his effort though. Nobody went so far as to experience the world the way you did.
“Maybe we should have tried something like this on a smaller scale next time,” you teased Taehyung after he had struggled to pay for the dinner. “I’m also fairly sure you have some sauce on your shirt. I can still smell it.”
Taehyung looked down to his chest, finally able to see again, now that the both of you had stepped back out on the street. He whined lowly, seeing the large stain on his shirt. “It wouldn’t have been a date though if we hadn’t gone out.”
You halted in your steps, feeling the heat in your body rising. Your thoughts immediately spiralled. Did you dress nicely enough for it? Did you look presentable? What about your hair? You didn’t prepare anything for Taehyung.
“I didn’t prepare anything for you.”
Taehyung chuckled and grabbed your hands, caressing the back of them with his thumbs. “It was a surprise. Of course you didn’t prepare anything. And honestly? You having spent the whole day with me was more than enough of a gift to me. I hope you enjoyed it just as much.”
“I did!” You blurted out, your voice louder than you had planned.
“That’s all I need to know.” Taehyung kissed your forehead softly before he guided you back to the car and drove the both of you back home.
“How about we listen to an audiobook in the living room before we call it a day?” Taehyung suggested and unlocked the door to the apartment. “I just want to change my top since I can even smell that sauce and I really want to cuddle with you.”
You giggled and nodded, telling Taehyung you would wait for him on the couch.
At least you had wanted to wait there but a soft knock on the front door, let you turn around on your heels and walk back to the entrance, opening it as soon as you reached it.
“Ah,” Jungkook breathed out in relief, “you heard it.”
“Of course I did”, you snickered, “otherwise my ears would be pretty useless.”
Jungkook stepped from one foot to the other, laughing hollowly. “Uhm, so,” he cleared his throat, “I, uh, wanted to ask you something.”

“I spent so long in the darkness....I'd almost forgotten how beautiful the moonlight is!”
Do you know when you are quiet in your homes, with loving parents, a dog that just feels your presence does nothing but worship you? A companion you love with all your heart, willing to sacrifice anything to make you happy, grow old with you... Till death do us part?
Good, because I don’t. You don’t have the luck to have these privileges... My house was made of stone and tended not to emanate any kind of heat, especially the emotional one. My parents at least the people I had to consider as such, but now I didn’t care anymore.
You see, we were humble people, but in order to make room for ourselves in high society, they had decided to arrange a marriage for me with a young Lord of the country that I had never seen and never before known. They were giving my hand as a bride to a complete stranger just to satisfy their selfish desires. I didn’t even know his first name, I just knew his last name. Kim, if I’m not mistaken.
Now, sitting on my little bed of second-hand textiles, I was intent on portraying a delicate butterfly of purple hues. I loved cataloging all kinds of information from an early age, even of the smallest living being, but what I loved the most was being able to draw it. It gave me a kind of freedom from the cruel reality I was destined for, even for just a few minutes.
I watched the little creature that I had locked up in a glass case, so I could study it closely and grasp with ink every little detail of it. I saw myself in her at this moment. Young and full of life, but without any escape...
"Y/n, hurry up! The Kims don’t want to wait any longer and don’t tolerate the delay. The carriage is already here!" my mother shouted from the ground floor. I sighed and freed the butterfly, which escaped without hesitation as soon as she saw a small opening to escape.
I envied her because unlike her, I had to meet my future husband with his family today.
"There will be wedding trials the day before the great ceremony," my father continued to repeat incessantly these last days. It made me laugh to have to marry a stranger in a few hours of knowledge and not be able to rebel...
I took my dusty coat and a little picture of Yeontan. He was my puppy, my only friend, but he died early due to a serious illness. I missed him every day...
I left the house and the first thing I found was the carriage that would take us to our destination with my impatient parents inside.
"Hello Hoseok" I greeted the boy who had been ordered to take us to the Kim. Jung Hoseok was a young man of 26 years. Beauty and a smile that could light up any room in darkness. His family was very poor and it was he who had to provide for everyone, bearing even the harassment of my parents.
"Good morning, Lady Y/n. If we leave right away, we’ll be at the Kim mansion in no time," he said smiling. I gave back a fake smile, but I felt dead inside.
Climbing inside the carriage, I decided to sit in front of my mother and my father laughing. They noticed my presence and their expression changed in seconds.
"Finally, my daughter. It took you long enough"
"Sorry, Mother," I lowered my head as a sign of submission.
My father sighed and began to speak "You caught a big fish hook, Y/n"
"Now all you have to do is pull it into the boat," added my excited mother.
Be happy for my life now ruined thanks to you? Certainly...
"Young Kim should not marry a young Lady, mother? Rich and surrounded by high nobility?"
"Don’t talk nonsense. We are no less than the Kim. I always knew I deserved more than a simpleton life. Being a miserable merchant wasn’t for me.”
"But I never spoke to him" I tried to defend myself from his words. I was disgusted that she used me only for her own interests.
"Pff. At least we have one thing in our favor. The less you talk, the better," she arrogantly said. But I did not have time to say that the carriage stopped and Hoseok opened the door.
"Madam and Gentlemen Lee. We have arrived at our destination"
We went down and gave a little thank-you smile to the young coachman.
The home of the Kim was something magnificent and immense. A real palace.
Why would such a wealthy family marry their son to a simple country girl like me...
We knocked and immediately a butler with a suspicious and reckless look opened the great wooden door.
"Oh, my goodness. Oh, how wonderful. A really impeccable taste" exclaimed my mother while the servant made us sit inside the house.
"It seems obvious to me. Our family has honorable roots in this country and deserves only the best"
We turned to the mysterious voice and a couple stopped in front of us.
"You must be the Lee family, I presume? Is this neglected damsel and little grace would she be my son’s bride?" said the woman in front of me. What kind of haughty and primadonna witch.
"Come. Tea will be served in the west wing of the house. So we can discuss this wedding and wait for rehearsal time for tomorrow’s ceremony."
"Of course, Mrs. Kim. Your house is lovely. What kind of upholstery do you use?"
But as my parents and the one of my future husband were about to have tea, my eyes met at the sight of a beautiful black piano. I approached and began to press some keys. I smiled when I heard the familiar sound. I missed playing it. It was since I was little, since my grandmother taught me how to play it died, I didn’t touch it anymore. In fact, my parents considered it a useless object and decided to have it demolished.
I sat on the small chair and started playing it. A sweet melody began to be heard. I loved him and I missed those days when my grandmother and I spent whole afternoons playing. I admired her very much as a woman and she was the only one who took me seriously, who appreciated my strengths and weaknesses.
I let myself be carried away by the melody so deeply that I did not notice the noise of some steps that were slowly approaching me.
"You play beautifully, Lady Lee"
A deep voice spoke out of the blue, frightening me so much that I fell out of my chair.
"I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to scare you. I was in my room enjoying a good book, until the most beautiful music I’ve ever heard enchanted me. I was curious to find out where it came from and I discovered you. Not only is the melody wonderful, but even those who played it are no exception. In fact, an angel is standing right in front of me right now."
I looked at the boy who was in front of me.
He was... beautiful.
Tall and with a toned and strong covering, hidden by a velvet shirt.
Two small dimples appeared on his cheeks as he smiled at me. They were adorable and his eyes were simply indescribable brown.
He looked like a Greek god just escaped from a myth written in an art book.
My heart trembled because of his presence and my cheeks turned red in a few moments.
Why did I feel that way?
I only saw him for a moment, but he had already enchanted me.
Was this... love at first sight?
"Excuse me, Mr Kim," I said as I quickly grabbed the little vase above the piano that was about to fall to the ground because of my fright, "I am so clumsy and I apologize for touching your instrument. I used to play it when I was a kid but my parents took it away from me because they think music is not a lady’s business. I am good for nothing and I can do practically nothing because of my clumsiness except playing the piano and studying on books. But maybe I’m talking too much. I’m sorry. My mom knew that I was too talkative and I should shut up to be a good wife but..." I was interrupted by Namjoon who laid a finger on my lips.
"Hey, don’t worry. I loved hearing you talk and you have a persuasive voice. I don’t see any harm to talk about your passions, and I see that the things you do are done with love, so..."
"You’re so sweet Lord Kim. You don’t have to be nice just because we have to get married tomorrow..." I said to him with a little voice.
"I’m not doing this because we have to get married but I think you’re already interesting at first sight. We share the same passions, and then you’re a wonderful, intelligent woman. I can see you’re not like those ladies who only think about looks and beauty. And under the circumstances, why don’t you just call me Namjoon, Lady Y/n?" said he took my hand gently in his and carried it on his mouth to give a chaste and small kiss. Her lips were so soft. I wonder how they felt about mine?
Wait? What was I thinking? I just met him...
"Nam. .Namjoom. Tomorrow we will be mar...mar...marr ..."
"Married, my dear? Of course," he said as he sat down and played a sweet melody with the piano "You know? When I was a child, I dreamed of the day of my wedding.I always hoped to find someone to fall madly in love with, to spend the rest of my life with. Silly, is not it?"
"Not at all. In fact, I’m of the same mind as you. I’ve always been the lonely girl and different from my peers. They plunged from every dress and make-up of various kinds and surrounded by suitors. The only one who ever courted me was my baby Tannie before he died. No one wants a library guy surrounded only by books as a wife," I said as my eyes turned to the floor.
I don’t know why I was telling him all this to a complete stranger, but I know there’s something about him that tells me I can trust him. Then in a few hours he’ll be my husband. It’s a good feeling, right?
But a couple of fingers took my chin and brought me to meet his gaze.
"People are blind if they can’t see the incredible qualities you possess. You are beautiful and your intelligence and clumsiness make you even more enchanting. All I’d wait for is to flirt and make you mine." He whispers.
I kept looking him in the eye and I got lost in it. I noticed that he stared at my lips intensely and immediately after I saw that he tried to get close to mine. I wanted her mouth on mine, and like a magnet, I was trying to get her close as fast as I could. My heart was pounding so hard that it came out of my chest, and when I put one of my hands on Namjoon’s chest, I noticed that even his heartbeat was going crazy. Was it really love at first sight? My soul mate?
Our lips almost touched when a voice made us suddenly move away from the embrace of one and the other.
"What indecency is this? You shouldn’t be alone together!!" Namjoon’s mother shouted at us.
"There is only one minute left at 5:00 PM and you are not at rehearsals. The priest is waiting for you. Come and hurry!".
He continued to scold us as he was heading to the chapel where the wedding rehearsals would take place shortly thereafter.
Namjoon looked at me with a small smile that immediately reciprocates and then gently take my hand to warn us at the place of rehearsal.
..................................................................................................................
Three hours later...
"Lady Lee, let’s start again. Again!" cried the priest.
We were at the altar repeating our wedding vows. At least, I tried to repeat because I kept forgetting the words.
"With this hand I will take away your worries. Your cup will never be empty because I will be your wine. With this candle will illuminate your path in darkness. With this ring I ask you to be mine. Let’s try again," he told me by looking them severely in the eye.
I grabbed the candle in my hand and approached it to the little flame in front of me.
"With this candle" but did not light. I brought it closer "With this candle..." still nothing.
"To hell. I’ll do it if you want. We’ve been here forever," my mom said. You were making a fool of yourself in front of everyone. Tears began to form in my eyes but I tried to hold them back.
When I tried to light it again for the umpteenth time, this time the flame managed to light it and I continued with the promise.
"With this candle" but a small breath shines and made me feel even more mortified by the embarrassing situation that was being created because of me.
"Continue!" the priest told me, but as soon as he finished talking, the doorbell rang and Namjoon’s father sent the butler to open.
"Go on" Namjoon whispered to me, trying to give me courage.
While I was trying to remember the words, I saw that the guest who played was a young girl of noble origins. A beautiful red velvet dress embraced her graceful shapes. She was wonderful. Not like me...
"I am Choi Yuna and I am here to attend the reception or at least if it happens. The bride seems to me quite unprepared and clumsy"
How dare this woman speak in this way of me? Even if she was right.
"Come on. Let’s not waste any more time and take the side of the "hand"" said the parish priest.
I raised my right hand while holding the candle with the other.
"With this... this..."
"HAND! What’s wrong with you? Don’t want to get married? At least you brought the ring with you"
Reprimanded for the umpteenth time...
"Of course..." I answered as he pulled it out of his pocket.
"With this ring..." but I did not have time to finish the sentence that the jewel slipped from my hands and began to roll up to the door of the chapel.
"He dropped it. This girl doesn’t want to get married at all". Until that morning I could confirm those words, but after I met Namjoon...
"Enough! Until the girl is ready the marriage will not happen. And you." said the priest pointing to me "learn your oath"
The heart was beating fast, but this time for shame. I was just useless. Now I didn’t even know how to learn two simple sentences. The tears came back, but before I could cry...
"I apologize. Tomorrow there will be no mistakes" and I ran away while the crying took over. I wanted to get away from those people and that house as soon as possible.
But when I ran away I didn’t notice the worried look of my future husband and how the girl who arrived a few moments before ironically whispered in his ear "A very good match, isn’t she?"
.................................................................................................................
I ran out of that house. You couldn’t spend an extra minute in there. I went into the little biscuit that flanked the house to look for some quiet and think about what had just happened.
"Namjoon... you must think I’m stupid now" I looked up to the moon "It couldn’t get any worse".
"Yet, it shouldn’t be difficult. It’s just a stupid oath! Let’s see how it was? With this hand I’ll take your wine? It wasn’t so..."
I tried to repeat myself as you went deeper and deeper into the woods.
"With this hand... will I drink your cup? But what the hell do I say..." slapping myself on the cheek to punish me of the error.
"I.. I... am a complete dork. It’s all for nothing" I said to myself as I sat on a small fallen log.
I pulled the ring out of my pocket and started staring at it. How could I be equal to a man like Kim Namjoon? He didn’t deserve me... but I wanted it so much. If I try to make an effort to be better, maybe...
I took a long sigh and got up quickly, I began to speak with a solemn voice.
"With this hand I will take away your worries. Your cup will never be empty because I will be your wine. With this candle will light your way into darkness." I took the ring between my thumb and index finger and watched as I continued to speak "With this ring I ask you to be mine".
Successfully concluded the oath by putting the small ring in what seemed to me a dry branch. But how wrong I was...
The moment I put it in, a dark, spooky aura rose around me. A cold wind appeared and made my skin crawl and the crows were watching me from the oars with a look of death. I had to go back...
And the moment I tried to get the ring back, one hand grabbed me out of nowhere, causing my body painfully to slam into the ground.
"Help!! Help" I called desperately as I tried to free myself from that grip on my arm.
I pulled even harder until the hand let me fall down again with my butt on the floor. I didn’t have time to get up to run away when a rotting body in a wrinkled black tuxedo appearing before me.
Was he a man? You could consider him so? With pale skin from which you could see lack of skin and the leakage of some bones. His eyes had no pupils. White as milk...
I trembled at the sight in front of me. I would have died the cause of this being. I could not move. I was petrified.
The creature slowly approached me and handed him his hand as he said in a hoarse voice, "I want him..."
I screamed... I screamed so much in fear that my sight started getting smaller and my head getting lighter. But before I could pass out, his face came up to mine and "Now you may kiss the groom".
The darkness engulfed me.
....................................................................................................
When I opened my eyes with a blurred vision and a faint and comfortable voice started talking to me.
"Hey, baby girl. Are you okay?"
"Jin, she’s waking up after she passed out. Give her time to recover."
I slowly opened my eyes and the sight was returning to its place. I really wanted not to see what was in front of me. Skeletons and moldy-skinned people were on top of me.
"Hey, just breathe"
"Feel his skin. It’s still soft"
My eyes were wide open and I suddenly got up to get away from these monsters. What the hell was going on, but especially where did I happen to be?
He asked me as I began to look around. It looked like a huge crypt with dirt walls where monsters and skeletons drink a green substance and a disgusting smell.
A skeleton in a military uniform raised a chalice and shouted "To the newlyweds" and followed by other screams.
W-what?
I looked in front of me and the same being that suddenly appeared to me in the woods, took me in his dead and cold arms, but this time a smile appeared on his face.
"Oh, my love. In the woods you said so perfectly, I was right," "he said, and then he showed me the ring that was on his finger.
I was incredulous. I took the first rejection I had in my hand and began to beat it in my head "Wake up! Wake up! It must be a nightmare. Somebody wake me up!"
"You could get hurt, my love. Why don’t we start getting ready for the wedding feast?" I’m talking to that monster again. But as soon as he finished the sentence, he dropped an eye and he caught it in a hurry and then put it back. "Oh, these jumping eyes. Ahahah"
"AHHHHHH" could not be true. I had to leave this madhouse. I wanted to return in the arms of my lover Namjoon. I have to run away.
He starts to run and make room between those bone stains, but a dead end appeared before me blocking any escape attempt.
"Please! Let me go. I do not belong here".
"Oh my love" the creature "you can’t leave here. We’re married" approached me again.
"But, but.... give me answers. I DEMAND ANSWERS!!"
"Oh of the answers you will have "an unknown voice appeared. I looked around and saw in dim light a young man with black hair who lacked an arm.
"You... who are you?".
"O little mortal. I am Yoongi. I write remembers the fate of all the dead who are here. How their lives were taken from their bodies. Naturally or by the horrible killers"
"Dead? So you’re all dead here?"
"That’s right, dear. I’m Kim Seokjin, your wonderful husband," he said gently kissing my cheek. There was no warmth in his lips. They were as cold as... death.
"I am Lee Y/n and sorry if I am giving you false illusions but I am not your wife. They do not belong in this world. Why do you insist I be your consort!!!"
"He may not be able to answer you clearly, but I can. Let me tell you the story of his death".
Yoongi said, coming closer to me and Seokjin.
"This is a tragic tale of love, passion and brutal murder."
Suddenly everything got dark but soon after I found a young couple in front of me. She was faceless and he had to be Seokjin alive... Wow. He was so beautiful... alive.
Yoongi’s voice appeared again but no trace of him.
"Observe what you see, my mortal dear, and let me clear your mind" and he continued.
"He was very beautiful and envied by everyone. His family possessed unparalleled wealth. Every woman struggled to have him by her side but none could fill his heart with love. When a strange person appeared in his town. A young damsel whose name is unknown, she was beautiful and good-looking, but poor. She persuaded him to fall in love. He quickly collapsed at her advances, so much so that she asked him to run away together. But his parents were against this union. So they decided to organize themselves to escape and marry in secret. She gave him a place to meet and asked him to bring everything he had precious so that they could live peacefully. He as a puppet consented and found himself in the predetermined place" and the scenario before me changed.
Seokjin was alone in search of someone. Probably the girl in the story.
Yonngi continued " he anxiously awaited his beloved. As he wore his dress for the ceremony. He was looking for the damsel in a wedding dress but after a few hours nothing. When he was surrendering but suddenly from the darkness saw something and his little heart began to beat hard by the emotion..."
A shadow appeared behind Seokjin and was about to grab him.
"And then what...?"
"Everything became black" and so darkness reigned while Yoongi’s voice kept me company "and when he opened his eyes he found himself dead in the earth. The jewels and his heart were gone. So he swore that he would only give himself to a true and chaste love, not based on lies as she had done. He waited years for someone to propose to him, and now..."
A dazzling light blinded me and when I opened my eyes I found myself in the crypt with Jin and Yoongi looking at me.
"You have come. With that oath you have promised me eternal fidelity and unchallenged love. Now we will be together forever," Seokijin told me.
No. It couldn’t have been true.
"Now come with me, dear. I have something to give you".
......................................................................................................
Meanwhile at home Kim...
Namjoon and his bride-to-be’s parents were in the living room. He seemed the only one worried about the young bride and her safety. Hours had passed by and she had not yet returned home...
"That wretched daughter of ours. I thought her fear of the dark made her come back here with her tail between her legs like a dog. Instead, it’s who knows where" the spouses Lee complained.
Namjoon made a grimace of annoyance. How could a mother speak in this way of her only daughter?
But his thoughts were interrupted when the young guest who arrived at the reception made her appearance in the drawing room.
"Sorry to bother you, Mr and Mrs Kim, but I can’t help but think the bride-to-be hasn’t shown up yet." She said in a mocking tone.
Choi Yuna was a very attractive woman, but Namjoon had already realized that she could not be trusted.
"But some news" she continued, "it is said around the country that Lady Lee was seen with another man and fled together."
"A man? But she doesn’t know anyone," the father of Y/n.
"That’s what you think. But you can never trust a girl like that. They seem calm and innocent when I actually hide all sorts of relationships with different men." Yuna concluded.
"Well if you need my assistance, you can find me in my room kindly offered by Mr and Mrs Kim." And having said that, she left.
Namjoon was shocked. It couldn’t be true. She seemed so taken with him and he the same with her. She was soul mates, he was sure. That treacherous woman was lying. I was convinced.
"Good heavens. What do we do now? We were about to give the hand of a slut to our son. What can we do now?" that Mrs Kim told her husband.
"Give us a chance to find her. Please. She’ll be here in time for the wedding." She prayed desperately to Y/n. She didn’t care about her daughter, but only worried about losing a place in high society.
"They are disgusting people. I’ll find you Y/N and take you away from your horrible parents," Namjoon thought as he watched the scene in front of him.
"I give you until dawn. Not a minute more". Mrs. Kim proclaimed.
"Come back home, my love," Namjoom sadly thought, hoping that his future wife would magically appear before him.
..........................................................................................................
In the world of the dead...
"Light of my eyes, I have to give you my wedding present" Seokjin smiled. He was a... strange boy. Very special. Gia considered me the most important person in her entire life... at least symbolically.
He had taken me to the highest part of the realm of the dead, whose sight was breath-taking. This was only mine since his... well you understand. But he didn’t know even in my heart there was already someone special for me...
"Seokjin..."
"Call me Jin, dear. We’re married and you don’t have to be so formal."
"See... Jin. I’m very sorry for what happened to you. I really am. But I have to go home."
He caressed my cheek with love, but what I felt was just a cold touch.
"This is your home now. But I have to give you what you deserve for our wedding" and saying that he gave me a gift pack. All ruined and scruffy.
You have to be honest, I was curious to understand what was inside. You open it and instinctively I throws it on the ground.
BONES. THERE WERE BONES IN IT.
"What’s wrong, my love? "he asked me worried.
"Well... usually you don’t give bones in the world of living Jin. I got a bit 'of fear... that’s all"
"Oh but those aren’t just bones..." and having said that, that pile of bones started to move and join together.
Until a dog of only bones appeared before us and began to dazzle cheerfully. He stood right in front of my feet and began to dig as if he wanted to greet me. I only knew a dog that did so...
"Tannie? Is it you?" the "puppy" barked and jumped on my lap in search of cuddles. Tears of joy began to form in my eyes.
"I missed you so much, my puppy" I told him trying to pet him. Jin laughed at the sight of our reunion.
"He is cute"
"Well, Jin. You should have seen him when he was alive and had hair. He was the prettiest dog in the country. But my mother wouldn’t let me hold him. In fact, if I think about it she didn’t like anything. Good thing you don’t have to know"
"Y/n... do you think she would have liked me?"
I looked at him and a light bulb lit up in my head.
"Well maybe you should know her. Maybe... now?"
Jin gave me a huge smile and took my hands in his. "Well, what are we waiting for? We’re already going to his grave. I can’t wait to meet her!!"
"There’s a problem. She’s..."
"Is she still alive?"
Nod to his hypothesis.
"But I cannot go into the world of the living. I am forbidden" I look at myself sadly. I don’t know why, but I felt a slight pinch in my heart when I saw him like this.
"But maybe there would be a solution..." I looked at him puzzled. What was he talking about?
"There is the wise Park Jimin. He knows everything between the stable interaction our world with yours. Maybe something will do..?"
And that is how he is god we found ourselves on top of a huge tower, with a room covered in dusty books and flasks with strange substances.
A bluish-haired boy stood before us, incredulous at the request of the corpse groom.
"What Jin? Why should you go up there? Mortals are dying to get down here. Why is it so... absurd?"
"Wise Jimin. I solemnly ask for your help. It’s very important to me..." i looked at Jin "for us.."
"Please. There must be something. Even a small thing..." Jin looked at him with a desperate look. Did he have a great desire to come up with me? If he was really my lover, I would never meet him with my parents if I had a choice.
Jimin sighed and took from a shelf a gigantic book with a leather cover. I hope not human...
"Found" I saw him lean his index on a particular part of a page of the book. "An old Ukrainian spell. It is ideal for fast trips"
While he was reading, I noticed that he started to put together strange substances of dubious origin. Some of them had an unpleasant smell. Well, I’m in some kind of hell surrounded by the dead. How could they smell good?
There was a small explosion and a small ball came out of the chalice that Jimin was using.
"Good. When you want to come back here, shout "Bell Jumping" and in a few moments you will be in the world of the dead again. Understood?"
After nodding, Jimin broke the orb and a poor golden one came out of it. And in a few seconds I had and Jin went back to the woods where everybody started.
I turned to Jin and found him enchanted staring at the full moon.
"I’ve been in darkness so long, I’d forgotten how beautiful the moonlight is."
Jin began to stare at me taking his hands in his hands. " and being in your company under it. It makes me understand how many I love you. I want to spend my mortal life with you and see you always illuminated by the moon. It makes you even more beautiful".
I began to blush at his words. What was happening to me? I had never felt such feelings and in a short time already my heart could not stop beating in front of Namjoon and Jin... Namjoon.
NAMJOON! I MUST GO BACK TO HIM! HE WILL BE VERY WORRIED!
I’m sorry about Jin, but I have to act to convince him not to follow me to the Kim house.
I took his face in my hands and he leaned on it as soon as he felt my touch.
"My love. I have to pick up my parents to introduce you to them. I won’t be long. Will you wait for me?"
He smiled at me "I would make the world fall for you. I love you... my moon"
My moon... Jin... was considering me as beautiful as the moon. I felt slightly guilty to deceive me in this way but Namjoon climbed waiting... and I loved him...
I’m sorry.
"I’ll be back soon," and that takes me away from Jin’s body. Namjoon. I’m on my way.
I ran and ran until the gigantic mansion of the Kim appeared before me. I tried to open the entrance door but it had been sealed. There must be another entrance...
I look around and I saw a balcony an open window. Bingo
I began to climb the walls awkwardly and with great difficulty, but managed to reach it. Mo faces the window and notices Namjoon with a gloomy expression intent on reading.
I knocked on the glass and his head turned towards me. He ran towards me and as soon as he opened the window and entered, he welcomed me with a huge hug. So it must be the touch of a lover. Warm and comfortable and not icy...
"Y/n! I’m so happy to see you. I was so worried about you. I thought I’d lost you. There were strange rumors about you but I already knew they were false. And now you’re in my arms. Don’t ever leave me again, okay?"
He returns the love of my lover. I had missed... my soul mate...
After what seemed like an eternity, he let me go. "Where have you been? I was so afraid of losing you..."
I caressed his face. If Jin’s skin was cold and cadaveric, his was warm and soft.
"I admit it. I was terrified of marriage this morning. But even though we have only just met, I realized that I wanted to be with you all the time and that we had to get married as soon as possible. I think I love you..."
He backed his forehead with my "I feel the exact same thing. It was love at first sight and I never want to let you go again"
Having said that, his lips approached mine. Finally...
I also approached mine to kiss him passionately. His lips were warm and fleshy. Soft and with a spicy flavor. I could become addicted to them as attractive and magnetic as they are, and now they’re mine.
When they cut us off from the kiss, Namjoon smiled at me and hugged me again.
I abandoned myself to its warmth and perfume. But when I turned to the window, what I found made me paralyze on the spot.
Jin was climbing up the balcony and about to enter the room.
I took the face of Namjoon in my hands "Jonnie I’m already married"
"What?"
"It’s true but against my will. You have to believe me!!" And when Jin opened the window and came in.
"My love, you were making me wait a long time and so I decided to come all the way here." but his eyes opened wide to see me in the arms of another man.
Jin ripped me out of my lover’s arms.
"Baby, who is he?"
"Who am I? Who are you?" I could notice Namjoon’s anger from the veins of his neck that kept growing and his nervous grin.
"I am Kim Seokjin. Her husband" he said proudly showing the ring he wore on his finger.
"Namjoon, He is dead. A corpse. He forced me, I swear."
But I didn’t have time to finish talking that Jin’s gaze became fierce and deadly and taking me in his arms, he shouted "BELL JUMPING!"
And we were once again taken into the world of the dead.
"You lied to me" Jin pushed me hard.
"SHOULD YOU STAY IN THE ARMS OF ANOTHER MAN? REALLY? THE TREASON NOT FORESEEN IN THE OATH OF OUR MARRIAGE"
"JIN. ARE YOU THE OTHER MAN? DON’T YOU UNDERSTAND?"
If Jin could die again, they would definitely have had a heart attack.
"N..no. You are married to me! You are my wife. He is the other man." And tears began to come down from his white eyes...
I felt sorry for him... he had gone through hell and now that he could have some serenity, I was doing him even more harm. But I could not be with him...
"Jin... probably under other circumstances, who knows? But we’re too different. You’re dead."
"You should have thought of that before you proposed..."
I sighed, but I was starting to get nervous, "Why don’t you understand? It was a misunderstanding. I never would have married you if I knew I was in this situation."
Jin’s gaze became even darker and more melancholy...
"Thank you for letting me know... my moon" and disappeared before my eyes.
I didn’t want to hurt him, but it was the right thing to do. Or no? Then why did my heart ache to see his heart break (always in a symbolic sense)
"Jin..."
And without I noticing, a tear slipped on my face.
..............................................................................................................
Home of the Kim’s Family
"Mother! Father! YOU MUST BELIEVE ME. Y/N IS MARRIED TO A CORPSE. I SAW HIM WITH MY EYES! HE WAS HERE. IN THAT ROOM. WITH HER!"
He tried to explain Namjoon to his parents panicked. He could not believe that what had happened, well... IT HAD HAPPENED!
Since when do the dead marry the living and can return from the afterlife? Ninth. It couldn’t be true. It had to be a dream, right?!
"My son. I knew you were out of your mind, but not so much!" laughed Mr Kim.
"What a scandal! That girl is no good! Already married? Bah"
"I can promise you. They were here with me and in a moment "Poof"... disappeared into thin air..."
Hoseok was closely watching the scene in front of him. In addition to being a coachman, he was ordered to obey whatever requests both the family Lee and Kim. Then he knew Y/n...
She could not be married to another man. She rarely left her room and avoided any human contact. She was mocked and she preferred to isolate herself. So what was happening?
He approached the young Kim. He had noticed that compared to his parents, he was kind-hearted and the perfect companion for his lady. Then he was totally panicked and trembled like a leaf. Was it true... what had happened? He approached Namjoon with a blanket to wrap him up and give him some comfort.
"Here, my lord. I hope a blanket will be useful. You are shaking a lot" but Hoseok did not have time to hand it over to him that Mrs Kim threw it on the ground with arrogance.
"What a blanket! He needs a straitjacket. My son is completely crazy!"
And when he had said this, he grabbed Hoseok by the arm and threw him out of the room.
"You’re gonna stay here and think about what you just told us and thank me and your dad for not locking you up in an asylum again. Come on, dear. Let’s go" and when the two of them locked the door, they left Namjoon in a state of complete shock.
Did you know that what you saw was real? Why did you try to get help from your parents? They were just good-for-nothings who knew how to squander their money. That’s why we wanted him to get married. The Lees had managed to make their way among the families with a good economic reputation, and this marriage would only allow a profit interest. But he didn’t think he’d ever fall in love...
.................................................................................................................
Meanwhile, in the living room...
"My wretched son. He must only tell lies and lies. But it’s our last resort to get back into the richest part of the society," lamented Mrs Kim.
"Darling, time is running out, and soon everything will be taken from us if that girl doesn’t come back here. We only have a few family jewels to make a living for a short time... what do we do?"
As the Lee couple thought something to improve their condition, steps began to feel along the long corridor, until Choi Yuna made her appearance again.
"That girl is so unreliable. Throwing away a guy like Namjoon... is a real crime. If I had a man like your son by my side, I would cover him with love but also with riches worthy of him."
"Well...your husband must be a very lucky man to have a lover like you, Miss Choi," said Mrs Kim.
"Oh Mrs. Kim. I’m not married. I had a boyfriend a few years ago, but... a tragedy tore my lover from my arms. By now when you live alone... wealth is no longer worth anything," said Yuna trying to simulate a cry.
The two Kim spouses exchanged a gesture of understanding.
"Lady Choi. We have a request for you".
................................................................................................................
Meanwhile Namjoon was locked in his room looking for something open to be able to somehow unlock the lock. He had to leave that house of evil and selfish people. Look for her love and take her away from those cadaveric arms of that Seokjin.
But his search was abruptly interrupted when his room door opened and his parents again introduced themselves.
"Son! Good news. Indeed wonderful. A wedding there will be"
Namjoon had a puzzled look on her face. "Did you find her? Y/n came back?" she asked with a crumb of hope in her voice.
Namjoon’s mother approached Namjoon and began to fix his hair on his face.
"Get ready, my dear. Relatives will be here any minute. We must make you presentable for Miss Choi!"
"Mi... miss Choi? Mother? Are you kidding?" asked him upset.
"She’s gonna make a great wife, and there’s gonna be better prospects for our... uh... your future.”
No.. it couldn’t be. It couldn’t happen.
"But I don’t love her. You can’t force me to do this..."
There was a moment of silence, but soon after...
"PLEASE! I BEG YOU! THERE MUST BE ANOTHER WAY!" screamed in despair Namjoon. She could not marry that woman. She was treacherous and evil. Did you know that...
Mr Kim spoke up. "If you don’t marry her tomorrow, we’ll be forced to beg in the middle of the street. We’re close tolive under a bridge by now."
"But Y/n... she..."
"Resign yourself, Namjoon. She’s gone, and tomorrow you’ll marry Miss Choi. And that’s it."
And so they left Namjoon alone again in his room. Full of unhappy thoughts in fun marrying someone he doesn’t love....
But Y/n had disappeared in front of him along with a dead man.
So, um...
And the tears started flooding his face.
............................................................................................................
As the Kim spouses moved away from their son’s room, they did not realize that Yuna was hiding to enjoy the entire conversation.
He approached a small portrait of Namjoon and began to caress him.
"Oh my dear. Don’t look at me like that. You will have to endure this union until death do us part... And it will happen much sooner than you imagine as soon as I poison the drink during the wedding feast" and an evil laugh came out her mouth.
But a noise interrupted her. There was Hoseok who had witnessed what she had just said. But before the young boy could escape to warn his master, Miss Choi took a candlestick nearby and grabbed him by the collar, then to smash him in the head repeatedly... until she was sure that the young man was no longer breathing. His plan should have no mistakes and this was also true for the dead who was at his feet. It was time to get rid of the body.
..............................................................................................................
In the realm of the dead...
I was here alone with what was left of Tannie. I felt guilty for what I had said to Jin. I didn’t want my words to sound so harsh, but he had to know the truth. I had to marry another man I loved...
Then why... when I thought of Namjoon, Jin’s face appeared with him...
I thought back to what Yoongi showed me about his past. He had been murdered by the one he loved most... had to live a life away from everything and everyone and instead? He found himself dead and alone...
If only things had turned out differently...
My thoughts interrupted when Yeontan started pulling my dress with his teeth. "What’s small? You want me to follow you?" I did.
I started walking as Tannie led me to a mysterious place. After a few minutes, I found myself in front of a house, but what made me curious was the weak melody that came from inside.
It was introducing to the one my grandmother used to play... GRANDMA.
She was deceased a while back and she might have been on the inside.
He quickly opened the door to enter a small living room. But what amazed me was not the sight of my grandmother, but of a boy with purple hair and broad shoulders... Seokjin...
I slowly approached his figure while he was busy playing. I tried to get noticed but he seemed to ignore me completely.
"Jin... I’m sorry. I’m sorry I lied to you about my parents. It’s just that this day didn’t go well...." I sat next to him as his long sayings continued to press the piano keyboard. " as I had anticipated..."
Nothing. He was ignoring me. So I decided to start playing with him. Just some melody. He wanted him to know that I still cared about him.
He started playing and he stopped listening to me right away, but he wasn’t looking at me yet.
I pushed my fingers away and immediately after he started playing again.
And so I did also. A look of hate struck me down but it did not make me lose.
We begin to play together a beautiful melody and slowly I could notice a weak smile on his face. The same happens with me. Neither of them spoke but I was loving how we were starting to have fun just playing a musical instrument.
Immediately after that he began to laugh. He had a contagious and beautiful laugh. Why didn’t I notice until now? It was pleasant to be in his company. If only he were alive...
As soon as we finished playing, Jin looked at me gently in the eyes "Sorry... I got excited".
I took his hand in mine.
"I like your enthusiasm. Really..."
And we began to look into each other’s eyes. Although his eyes were white and had no pupils, I no longer feared them. Not anymore. On the contrary, they gave me a sort of comfort. I was getting lost, like Namjoon had.
I was admiring him too? Of a dead man? But what happened next was Jin who gently leaned his lips on my lips...
His lips were cold, but also soft. A feeling... different? But pleasant at the same time.
The kiss did not last very long especially since a euphoric Yoongi ran to us screaming "Run boys. A newcomer to the realm of the dead! Hurry up"
Jin took my hand and put a little kiss on top of it and then he took me with him and follow Yoongi.
The square was full but what made me jump with joy was to see a familiar figure. But why was he here? He was still young...
"Hoseok... is that you?" I asked as I approached.
"Lady Y/n. How nice to see you here. Then it was true what Namjoon said. Are you really married to a corpse??" He said, noting my firm grip with Jin’s hand
"Um... it’s a long story. But what are you doing here?"
"Well, my lady. I’m not sure what happened. I don’t remember. But it opens up to me that someone murdered me. But for now my face and name run away.
Argh... I don’t even remember if it was a man or a woman"said Hoseok hitting his head with small fists.
Yoongi approached "it’s normal. As soon as you die for a few moments you won’t remember what happened to how you died. Your moment will come sooner or later. Wait and see..."
"Thank you very much, Mr..."
"Min Yoongi. But just call me Yoongi". Hoseok smiled at the boy in front of him and then turned to me again.
"Hoseok... how is everybody up there? They must be so worried..."
"Well, they’re still wondering where you are. And young Kim..."
At the mention of Namjoon my eyes opened wide for concern, but I did not notice the handshake by Jin with his hand in mine.
"Well. He’s getting married. Tonight..."
The world was falling apart on me.
"How? What? WITH WHO?"
"Oh my God... she’s a stranger. Miss... Miss... I don’t really remember her name and surname. My death gave me a terrible amnesia. "
But... he told me he loved me. He was lying...?
"Well, you know. You disappeared and never showed up again... I guess they didn’t want to waste all the expenses for the ceremony."
"But... but how could he..." he didn’t feel the same way I did. Was he deceiving me all this time? He seemed so sincere... and instead...
Jin noticed that something in me was not going well after the news of her now ex-lover’s wedding.
"Y/n come with me" and so I was transported from Jin to who knows where... What was the point of living now? My living soul mate had betrayed me and the other... well... he was dead...
You take me to a roomy room of wooden bars. You couldn’t believe it again... why the love of doing so bad?
"Baby, don’t cry. You have to be strong and move on. I will always be there for you and you will always be my number one priority. My moon... I hope you can love me as I’m loving you in this memento," he said embracing me.
I abandoned myself completely in his arms. After everything you had told him, he still wanted me...
Maybe I deserved Namjoon to betray me. After all, you did it with Seokjin.
But despite his body was not hot, I don’t know. I felt good about it.
But we were interrupted by Jimin.
"Here you are. You were looking for yourself. I just found something interesting."
"What did you find?" Jin asked.
"Well... there is a complication with your marriage. The oath is only valid until death do you part.
"What are you trying to say?"
"Jinnie... death has already separated you. The only solution to be able to officiate everything requires a great sacrifice. "
"What do you mean?"
"She... must die"
Jin’s eyes opened wide and he kept hugging me as Jimin kept talking.
"Y/n should give up his life forever. She should repeat the oath on the land of the people who live and drink the wine of death".
"Jimin... I love her but I can’t ask her to give up her life for me. If I am to die, it must happen at the hands of fate and not mine," said Jin with tears in his eyes.
"I’m sorry but there is no other solution... Her heart must stop forever to be with you"
A tombal silence surrounded us. My life was at stake. But if I had nothing up there now. Nothing worth living for, maybe here...
"I will," I solemnly said.
Jin took my face in his dead hands and Jimin seemed amazed by my words.
"My girl, if you choose this path... you will never be able to return to the world above. Do you understand?"
Look Jin in the eye and I gave him a drink kiss on his lips.
"Yes. I’ll do it to be with you Jin".
He smiled at me, "Give up your life for me? My moon you don’t have to do that."
"But I want... we will be together for eternity Jin. I have no one up there now, but here? I have the love I’ve been looking for for years and I want to do it"
He kissed me again with more passion. Finally our lonely souls would find peace.
"Well, if you’ve decided so. I’ll prepare what it takes to rise to the surface again and the potion for you Y/n" and said that Jimin left.
"We are doing, my love."
"Yes, and i can’t wait to do it...with you".
............................................................................................................
Meanwhile at home Kim the wedding between Namjoon and Yuna had just ended and it was time for the wedding banquet. Namjoon was a sea, indeed an ocean of despair.
Not only did he lose the love of his life, but he had just married a woman who had nothing to do with him. His life was falling apart... completely.
Suddenly Yuna got up to make the toast "Namjoon found a golden wife. Perfect for him. With qualities of great level, worthy of a true woman. Destiny has united us and no one will ever be able to divide us"
Namjoon was beside himself. Destiny said? Lies.
Hoseok had disappeared and his beloved as well. The situation was starting to stink and he knew that she had something to do with it.
"Shut up! You don’t know one of me. I married you just to do my parents a favor but I don’t love you and I never will. My heart belongs only to one person and it’s not you."
Having said that, Namjoon got up from the table and ran away. That would not have been life. He had to run... away from here. From everything and everyone.
The only person who could understand it was missing, and nothing could happen to bring her back.
But as soon as it came out, a noise began to come from the church and a fluorescent green light came out of the windows.
Out of curiosity, Namjoon began to walk towards the sacred building to see what was happening.
...........................................................................................................
The church was decorated with blue and purple rose petals and each deceased occupied a small space to attend the wedding between Lee Y/n and Kim Seokjin.
I was wearing a white, white, elegant wedding dress. My heart was racing. The idea of dying scared me, but if I thought I will find myself in Jin’s arms right away and he will love me for eternity.. well... It was kind of comforting.
I fixed my veil and when Yoongi called me, I knew that moment was coming.
The church was in celebration and I observed the long failure that would lead me to what would be my future companion in death.
He was beautiful. His purple hair brought out his white eyes and fleshy lips. My heart trembled. I was doing the right thing? Sure. Namjoon had moved on and so I had to do it too. As soon as I got to the altar, Jin took my hands in his hands and stared at me with love. Yes, now I was sure to marry him and make him mine forever.
Jimin had proposed to be our priest to officiate the wedding and as soon as the organ music ended, he started talking.
"Dear friends. We are gathered here today to join this woman and this corpse in marriage."
But as he spoke, Jimin’s eye saw a living young man hiding behind a pillar of the church. It was Namjoon and he was attending the wedding of his beloved with another man. But he pretended nothing and continued.
"Now Y/n. You can start with your oath"
Look into Jin’s eyes with extreme love. I took a breath and started.
"With this hand I will take away your worries. Your chalice will never be empty because I will be your wine," I said as I grabbed the chalice with poison in it.
"It’s your turn, Seokjin." Jimin said.
"With this hand I will take away your worries. Your cup will never be empty because I will be yours..." but Jin interrupted the sentence suddenly. What was going on?
I didn’t know that Namjoon was hiding behind me, who slowly decided to approach the altar. Jin saw him and was surprised to see him there. In front of the people attending his wedding. With a shocked face.
"I... I will be..." he tried to continue
"Your cup will never be empty... because I... will be....." nothing. He couldn’t finish the sentence.
I understood his nervousness. I was like that too and decided to help him.
"... I will be your wine" I concluded the sentence for him while I carried the poison to my mouth.
But before I could take a sip, Jin took it out of my hands.
What was he so suddenly into?
"Y/n can’t do it..." he said in a weak voice.
"What’s wrong with Jin? What’s wrong with you?!" I asked him worried. Why did he change his mind?
Jin, I’m gonna start stroking my face.
"I was a groom, but they deprived me of my dream. Now... I am stealing someone else’s... I love you Y/n. My beautiful moon. Light of my eyes... but you are not mine." Immediately after he looked behind my back "Please. Come closer."
I looked behind me and was shocked to see Namjoon. What was he doing here?
He supposed to be married...
Young Kim slowly approached us. Jin grabbed my and his hand, making them intertwine with each other. I didn’t understand...
"But... you married someone else."
Namjoon took me to himself "my love, they forced me. I did not want to marry her, in fact I ran away to look for you. But now you’re here safe and sound in my arms. Don’t ever let me alone again." He hugs me back but at the same time I looked sadly at Jin. He was giving up his happiness again for me. He was too good... too good for this evil world...
"Jin... thank you," he smiled at me and stroked my head.
"I recommend Kim. Take care of her for me. Don’t hurt her or I’ll come find you. Okay?
Namjoon smiled at the rider’s words before him "Quiet. As you said. It will be my number one priority".
But before anyone could add anything else, a female voice appeared.
"Well, well. Finally our young lovers have gathered".
It was Yuna Choi. What the hell was she doing here?
"Now you can live happily ever after, can’t you? Have your happy ending. But you’ve forgotten one little thing." He forcefully seized Namjoon to bring him close to his side, ripping him from my arms. "He is still my husband and I will not go empty-handed!"
I tried to get close to Namjoon, but Jin’s expression make me stop. He had a look of full anguish on his face.
"You... are her."
Yuna I observe it and began to whiten at the sight of the corpse groom.
"Jinnie...? What are you doing here... I.. I had left you..."
"Dead..." he ended the sentence.
I took my hands to my mouth for surprise. It was her. She had killed him to take possession of his wealth and probably would have done the same with Namjoon.
"But ... leave me alone. You should be underground. Get away from me" She shout him.
But as soon as we tried to intervene, he pulled a knife out from under his skirt and brought it to Namjoon’s throat.
"Sorry, but we really have to go now. Come on, big guy. Let’s go," he said, trying to back off as he took Namjoon with her.
"Get your filthy hands off him! Bitch!" I yelled at her with all the rage I had. It was always her fault. And it was her fault if Jin had to suffer an eternity full of remorse. He did not deserve such a person.
"Oh, do you want to die girl? I’ll settle right away" and quickly she tooks off Namjoon’s neck blade to stab me.
Instinctively I put my arms around trying to protect myself but the pain never came. In fact, something had come between me and the blade.
I looked up and saw the figure of Jin. He protected me with his body...
Yuna was blown away.
"You can’t kill someone who’s already dead. Now get out of here before I kill you with my bare hands," his fury was almost palpable, and anyone inside the church could feel it.
"All right. I’m leaving, my dear," Yuna said, trying to get away, but not before she grabs the chalice that she found on the altar. My chalice...
"But first I wanna celebrate fo you, Kim Seokjin. He who will be remembered with a simple wedding witness and never as a groom. In fact, tell me if a heart can be beat even if you are dead. Ahahah."
Her laughter made me shiver but at the same time it made me angry. How could she behave so with him... that all his life he shared it is was love.
She nodded to Jin and took a sip of what was in the cup. The poison... the poison that had to kill me to be with Jin... and she had just been drinking it.
But in a few seconds she collapsed on the floor. I covered her with convulsions. I start moving blood out of her mouth as soon as she breathed her last breath, she fell on the floor, died.
I was shocked by the situation but my trance was interrupted by Namjoon’s embrace.
"I thought I’d never see you again, my love. I missed you." I turned to him and returned the gesture.
"When they told me that you had remarried, my heart was broken. I was willing to die as well. But now that I know you love me, everything will be fine, but first..." I walked away from him to get close to Jin. I approached him and gave him a little kiss on his lips, the last before I never saw him again.
He reciprocated with affection and when on detachment from them, he gave me another kiss on my forehead and then he said "Farewell my little moon. It was nice to love someone again. "And having said that, he tooks off the ring I put on him that night and he gave it to me. He smiled at me one last time before approaching the first window where the moonlight illuminated and immediately afterwards his body began to fade away.
Small purple butterflies appared while he was disappearing and they began to fly away, flying towards the moon. Jin wanted more than anything. Now he was free and would not only be known as "the corpse groom" but as the man who taught me to forgive and the true meaning of love.
I looked at Namjoon gently and before I could say anything, she kissed me passionately on the lips.
"It’s time to plan a wedding huh? But this time smoothly. I promise" I smile at his words. I missed him sp much.
I looked one last time at the window where Jin disappeared. The moon was immense and beautiful. Like him.
"Goodbye Kim Seokjin. I love you. I hope to see you again in the next life..."

a little bit of love - k.th.
genre : fluff, angst (3.5k+) (request for @ofrosesandteacups) thank you so much for requesting, i hope you like it :]
summary : there’s nothing that freaks you out more than love does.
masterlist
when you first met taehyung, you didn’t imagine how far you guys would come along, sure you liked him from how your friends described him and how he presented himself to the masses, but to come to a point where a day wouldn’t go by without you missing him even as he sat beside you, was beyond you.
you almost felt ridiculous for cuddling up even more to him just at the thought of him being gone for work the next day making him chuckle and gently pat your head. the tv played some old 80’s movie that taehyung loved and served as ambient music which was both romantic and full of yearning. just like the two of you sat in front of it.
“what’s got you like this?” he gestured to your arms that looked close to suffocating his torso but you didn’t weaken your grip, only burying your head in his chest even more.
“you’ll be gone all day tomorrow” you softly whined, your voice coming out muffled and just clear enough for taehyung to hear and he let out a sigh at your words. it was going to be so hard to go to work tomorrow, how could he possibly say goodbye to you for a whole 24 hours after you do and say the things you do?
“i promise i’ll make it up to you, we can go to dinner at that diner you like this weekend” taehyung offered, hoping that would lift your spirit up a little and you nodded happily, any time with him was perfect for you.
“deal” you whispered and before taehyung could ask you about which movie you wanted to start next, he heard your slow, even breaths fill the silence and he simply let a fond smile grace his face, as he shut the tv off and devoted his entire attention to watch you sleep. not in a creepy way, in more of a ‘you’re so fucking cute, i would die for you’ way.
and it was in that moment, your arms never losing their tight grip on him, your nose twitching ever so often in your sleep and your legs wrapped around his, taehyung decided that he was helplessly in love with you and that conclusion only solidified for him when he reached to kiss your forehead, he still felt his body erupt in tingles, these tingles that he gets whenever he’s with you haven’t died since the day, he’s met you.
taehyung was in love. and he wanted to shout it from any building in the world.
-
you kicked the blanket around your feet as you tossed and turned to avoid the sunlight burning your eyes awake, and with one final groan, you pushed yourself up to lay on your elbows as you cursed everything about the day when its barely begun. you saw taehyung’s side of the bed empty and sighed, you remembered how warm he felt last night, and how his voice put you right to sleep, your cheeks warmed as your mind travelled to how he promised you his weekend just so you wouldn’t be sad and your heart did a good old flip as you continued to think about him.
you heard yeontan yapping at your feet, waiting for you to give him all your attention and love, you gave the cheery dog a soft smile before scooping him up in your arms and letting him lick all over your face while you giggled and tilted your head away from his sloppy kisses, once he finally calmed down, you just buried your face into his fur and realized yeontan only reminded you more about taehyung.
this was going to be a long day without him.
you could feel your stomach drop a little at the sad realization and you deemed it so unfair that you couldn’t spend every minute of your life with hi-
wait a minute.
it hasn’t even been 8 hours since you last saw him so why were you acting like his funeral was tomorrow? why did you miss him so much when you were literally in his arms not too long ago?
your head snapped up as you caught yourself thinking that as your legs flung over the side of the bed, your eyes widened at your own thoughts. any and all romance draining out of your body, as familiar dread and paranoia took its place.
where was all this coming from?
the last time you felt like this, was in grade school, when you still wore a little skirt and tie, and sat at the bleachers as you watched your then-boyfriend with flushed cheeks and giddy eyes, play basketball, he would always take the ball, give you a cocky smirk and say, ‘this one’s for you’, only for the ball to always fall to the side instead of into the hoop. you would just give him an awkward smile and slow applause, maybe you should’ve taken that missed shot as a sign that your relationship would end in disaster.
because all the while you adored and gave him heart eyes, he would smile right at your face, only to send a wink and smirk to someone else over your shoulder.
and now, after all these years, you gave those same lovesick eyes to taehyung. and you could feel your palms getting sweaty just at the thought of your relationship ending the same way.
of course, you knew better, you’ve come a long way since school, done a lot of growing up, and now, you were confident in yourself and you were almost completely sure that taehyung never did that. almost.
but how much did you see? maybe you missed it at some point. you let out a loud groan and fell back on the bed with hair everywhere on your face.
fuck, you were royally screwed.
it wasn’t even noon and your mind was hell bent to make this your worst day.
how could you think of taehyung like this? sweet, kind taehyung, who’s giving you his weekend, taehyung who always kisses you on the forehead at night when he thinks you’re sleeping, taehyung who defended mint chocolate with an adorable pout on his face, taehyung who cooed and played with every baby he saw, taehyung who knew everything about you, the good and the ugly, and still stayed, and most importantly, taehyung who loved you.
he loved you, it was no secret. boy was as whipped as they come, and anyone with two eyes could see it and he didn’t have to say it to you for you to know, you just knew that he loved you, he trusted you enough to introduce you to his dog and that was a very big deal to him (you quote, ‘it’s like you’re meeting my parents’).
and that scared you, because holy shit, this man is ready to give you the world but would you ever be able to carry everything he gives you? were you ready to admit to yourself that you would give him twice the world he gives you because that’s how precious he is to you?
you aren’t ready.
and you don’t think you ever will be.
maybe you should’ve gone to therapy for your commitment and trust issues when you were still in university because you definitely regretted flipping the finger to your kind on-campus counsellor now (she was actually very condescending and forced you to talk about your problems instead of easing into it like a good counsellor would so fuck her but you were still on that train of hating yourself, weren’t you?). it was almost like you never thought your issues would come back to bite you in the ass.
whatever, you can push this under the rug like you always have. it should be fine, it’s the way you have always dealt with, push it under the rug or run away from it.
and you know how ridiculous your thoughts are right now, you couldn’t possibly run away from taehyung, because here you were, all dressed up in a baby blue dress with your hands occupied in three large bags of takeout food for the hardworking boys in the practice room in front of you. and yes, you also know how pathetic it is to be so scared of being in love with this man and then coming right back to him because what if he missed his lunch? (you just wanted to see his face and no, you couldn’t go an entire day without him).
you sheepishly poked your head in and saw all of them scattered around the room, their heads snapping towards the now open door and you quickly looked for your man in the crowd, only to find him already looking at you with surprise evident in his eyes and a confused but lovely broad grin on his face as he happily skipped to you, pulling you in and closing the door behind you, almost immediately enveloping you in a warm hug.
“what are you doing here?” he happily sighed into the crook of your neck, and you could feel your heart stutter a little at the clear joy in his tone. you pulled away from him to lift the bags in your hands up.
“thought that you could use some food” you tilted your head to look at everyone else, giving them a shy smile and bow, taehyung looking at you with those eyes that he seemed to always look at you these days.
those lovesick eyes.
“fuck i love you” he chuckled slightly, grabbing the bags from your hands and walking away to set them on a table, not noticing how wide your eyes have gotten or the panic in your face as he said it.
he finally said the words you’ve been both dreading and longing to hear, and in such a casual way, you knew he just said it in a playful way for all the food you brought in but that didn’t mean your heart didn’t drop to your ass when you heard them. you snapped out of your trance when your ears caught them call you in a chorus, ushering you over to them.
“everything okay?” he whispered just low enough for you to hear, making sure that it didn’t catch anyone else’s attention. and as much as you wanted to fall on him and tell him everything your mind was putting you through, you gave him a tight smile and nodded your head.
you quietly walked up to them and only spoke when you were spoken to, a little too lost in yourself, looking to the side when taehyung nudged your elbow a little. you were never this silent, you were always bubbling with things to say or you made some dry jokes about your own suffering that had the whole room laughing, but right now, you just weren’t you. and that worried him.
“of course, i am always okay” you let out a nervous chuckle slip past your lips as you said it, cursing yourself for the slight break in your tone.
you weren’t okay.
you weren’t okay at all.
and taehyung knew that.
you could tell he wasn’t convinced at all with your answer so you just sighed and decided to come clean.
“we will talk about this later, okay? it isn’t anything bad, but it isn’t necessarily good either” you rambled silently, and taehyung, though unconvinced and worried sick now, nodded in agreement, giving you a side hug and kiss to your temple making your heart wrench in place even more.
“you know i love you, right? and that you can tell me anything?” you knew.
that was the problem.
you fucking knew he loved you and you didn’t know how to handle that.
but until your inevitable discussion later, you just leaned in for a kiss on his cheek making his cheeks flush and hurt a little at the almost immediate smile that grew on his face.
“aw look at them being all cute” jimin cooed from where he stood, clearly not having noticed the prior tense environment around the two of you.
“i’m telling you, it’s the honeymoon phase. they’ll be at each other’s throats soon” jungkook snickered harmlessly, as the others argued that you both have been in this honeymoon phase since forever now and it didn’t seem to go away anytime soon. and you turned red as they all continued to tease the two of you, making lighthearted jokes at how whipped you were and you didn’t have it in you to laugh like you usually would.
with jungkook and everyone else around you, people who you have become so comfortable with, it was all too overwhelming, you fit in so well, almost too well and that was one more thing for you to worry about.
when did you start feeling so at home with all of these people?
and why did spending lunch with them feel so normal all of a sudden?
you usually had lunch at your workplace with your friends, and you wouldn’t say you enjoyed it very much, because most of the time, you all were too exhausted to hold fun conversations, so it was all a very monotonous routine. but now, with taehyung and rest of them, you could feel bubbling energy every second you spent with them and it just felt so perfect.
but did it feel that way for them? or were you just intruding on their normal routine?
after a silent excuse to leave to work early and way too quick of a goodbye, you left with an even heavier mind than the one you spent all morning with. and even if you thought you were being subtle, your sour mood caught the attention of everyone in the room who were more concerned than you thought they would be.
“are you ready to tell me what’s going on with you?” taehyung walked in your apartment to see you slumped on the sofa, eyes teary with your focus on the tv which played somber ending music to a show (you weren’t crying because of the show, you were crying because oh my fucking god did you hate being you at that very moment, you were wallowing in self pity and with thoughts that you’ll die alone and loveless with around 20 cats, you even placed an order for catnip and bed impulsively for a cat you didn’t even own). you were doing great, clearly.
you couldn’t delay this conversation anymore without hurting either of you two even more.
“huh?” you sniffed, turning to see him pulling his coat off while keeping his narrowed and concerned eyes on you, you have never heard that tone on taehyung or seen him so agitated in a while.
at least both of them were never directed at you.
he dropped down next to you on the sofa, pulling the large bag of chips from your arms and setting it aside before looking right at you, refusing to break eye contact, leaving you to be the one to break it off with a sigh.
“i’m going to need you to listen to me without saying anything for the next 10 minutes because this is really hard for me to talk about, and i am not even sure what my actual problem is, i just don’t feel okay and i think i’m going to explode any second” you rambled, clearing your throat awkwardly at the end and crossing your arms across your chest like you were trying to protect yourself from your own words.
taehyung had never you seen this vulnerable, with your red-rimmed eyes, quivering lips and a loose sweater hanging off your shoulders, refusing to look at him, instead focusing on the socks adorning his feet and voice coming out in quiet gasps and whispers that he could barely hear.
you looked so fragile, so close to breaking to him. and that broke him too.
“whatever it is, we will figure it out together” he softly let out, forcing your arms out of the hold it had over your chest and tenderly grasping onto your hands, it made you feel exposed, even more vulnerable than you already were.
“i told you to be quiet” you choked out in a groan, tears pricking your eyes and he immediately cooed, rubbing the back of your hands and assuring that you now have the complete room to yourself.
“you know how things are going so well for us? like we spend at least 5 days in a week together and we’ve introduced each other to our friends and we’ve spoken briefly to each other’s parents too?”
“yeah, we’re obsessed with each other god.”
“taehyung?”
“yeah?”
“shut up.”
“okay” he chuckled and gestured for you to continue, making you smile a little too.
“i just feel like everything is going so well, and i feel so happy, so comfortable, i feel like i’m at a place in my life that i’ve been running towards my whole life but now that i’m actually here, i feel…scared?” taehyung raised an eyebrow at the end of your sentence, but not questioning anything because you continued your worried rant.
“it’s like, everything about you and your life has fit in so perfectly with mine, even with your busy schedule and my pain-in-the-ass work hours, we somehow make it work but i’m scared that it will all just go away at some point and i’ll be back at square one. i’ve never felt like this before, i love you, a lot and i love everything about us, i’m so happy with how we are, i just need reassurance that we will stay like this for as long as we can be, that’s all” you let out a deep breathe you didn’t know you were holding and looked at him nervously, chewing your bottom lip and you were sure that you bit it too hard. your heart pounded so hard, it felt like it was going to escape the cage of your chest.
“first off, stop biting your lip like that, you’re going to split it open and second, i love you too and third, is that it? you’re scared that we won’t last?” taehyung looked at you in disbelief that you would even think that you could get rid of him as his hands tightened around your own.
“and that you will leave me for someone else” you sighed out, figuring that it was best to just lay it all out there while you’re at it. taehyung just looked down and shook his head, as if he couldn’t believe what he was hearing.
“you really don’t have a clue of how in love i am with you, do you?” you slowly shook your head at his rhetorical question.
“well, i guess i have to remind you. you have nothing to worry about when it comes to us, okay? whatever we are, and whatever we will become, i promise to try my best to always make it work for us, because just like you said, i love us and i love you. and if you don’t know what to do, we can figure it out together, i haven’t been in many relationships either, at least not meaningful ones so i have no clue but together, we can do anything, yeah?” he waited for your nod which came shortly after his words, you didn’t even realize you were crying until taehyung reached up to rub your tears away gently with his thumb, all while holding a soft smile to you.
“i love you, okay? and i am not going anywhere, i don’t want to be anywhere else so next time you feel like this, don’t suffer alone, come to me and we can either cry together or i can kiss your tears away, whichever works for you, though i would prefer the k-“ he was cut short when you literally threw your body on top of his, he immediately broke into a small giggle, reaching to wrap his arms around you too.
“i think you liked the kisses idea” he lightly teased making you laugh and mumble a low ‘shut up’ into his hoodie.
“do you promise? that we’ll try till we can’t?” you leaned back with glassy eyes and he smiled, nodding his answer.
“i promise, now you shut up and come back here” he pulled you back so that you would fall with your head nestled into his neck again.
“oh, one thing” he spoke up again and you let him continue.
“can you bring us lunch more often? because they all seem to love you more than they love me” he pouted a little, recounting how everyone rushed to ask him if everything was okay with you after practice was over and you smiled a little, feeling a little stupid for worrying so much about intruding on them.
“of course, as long as i get to see you” you jokingly blew him a kiss to which he reacted with an equally dramatic reaction, clutching his chest and scrunching his eyes shut, acting like he got shot and falling off the couch, the silence being filled with your loud laughs.
and that is how you end all your nights with him, filled with joy, and filled to the brim, with love.
turns out you didn’t need therapy after all.
but what were you going to do with all that catnip now?

Valentine's Day. The day where people spend time with their loved ones, either going out to celebrate or spending quality time together at home. Just anything to bring a smile to their loved ones' faces.
Taehyung used to question this annual occasion—a lot. What is truly the purpose of this day? Don't you have to make your loved ones happy all the time? What difference does it make to celebrate it on this "special" day and on a typical day? Or, in other words, it was a complete waste of time and energy—is what he used to say.
For many years, Taehyung's only companions on this day are paperwork, meetings, and... more paperwork. So, it's not surprising how disinterested he is at the thought of celebrating Valentine's Day.
But today, he barely can stifle his smile and contain his excitement throughout the morning conference. The minute when the meeting ends, he strides out of the room and heads straight back home.
His employees had stared at him in awe after he announced that everyone can leave work early today. Everyone wonders what has gotten Kim Taehyung so excited on Valentine's Day until they remember that he is, now, officially a husband. Taehyung no longer frequently locks himself in his office until past midnight dealing with documents and phone calls. Not when you're waiting for him at home. Sometimes he'd even cut his work hours short if he deems himself deserving just to see you faster.
Everyone can see how utterly in love the boss is with his wife. Just the mention of your name is enough to grace his usual stern expression with a soft smile.
So, it's not surprising that an annoyed sigh emits from Taehyung's lips when his work phone dings just as he steps out of the elevator on his penthouse floor. Taking out his phone, he reads an urgent message that some part of the meeting's presentation details have not been mentioned to him earlier. For once, Taehyung wishes work can give him a break. Today is supposed to be a special day, after all.
Shoving his phone back into his pocket, Taehyung walks into his home. Soft jazzy music plays from the living room, along with the tinge of coffee fragrance wafting in the air, ebbing his growing annoyance away. He takes off his dress shoes before entering even further, knowing full well how his wife would make him clean up if he stains the Persian rug you received as a wedding gift. With a pair of home slippers covering his feet, he emerges from the front hallway to the living room as he shrugs off his navy pinstripe suit jacket and loosens his tie.
Taehyung hears the rapid padding of pawsteps first as a fluffy friend appears out of the kitchen, greeting Taehyung with a woof and an excited wag of his tail, scampering to his owner. Smiling, Taehyung crouches to give Yeontan a backrub as the pomeranian revels at the affection.
After a few moments, he walks to the kitchen—Yeontan still excitedly following—where the smell of coffee grows stronger. He finds you sipping on your morning coffee and scrolling through your tablet—perhaps, reading the latest news—as you sit on the bar table of the kitchen.
Sensing his presence, your head turns to the doorway. “Hey, you're back.”
“Mhmm… Finished my meetings earlier today.” He closes the distance, giving you a kiss on the cheek. “You ate breakfast already?”
You nod. “Have you?” He shakes his head. “You go change, I'll whip up something for you.” You place your tablet down on the counter. “Are toasts and eggs, okay?”
He nods in response.
Standing up from the barstool, you are about to make your way to the counter when your husband stops you. “You haven't given me a kiss ever since I've arrived back home.” He pouts, arms circling your waist to keep you still.
You chuckle at his antics. Cupping his face between your hands, you place a chaste kiss on his lips. “There.”
“More please.” And you comply, placing another, and another…
You move your hands down, placing it on his chest when he releases his hold on your waist, cupping your face, finally giving you a deep kiss. Your heart is on the verge of bursting at the touch of his lips. Granted, you both shared kisses so many times, but each and every single one never fails to spread warmth in your chest. And you love to see his dazed expression or his bright smile afterwards.
After a few moments, you pull away, grinning. “Okay, go change.” Your smile so bright Taehyung just can't get enough as he still clings to you. “I have an appointment today before our dinner date.”
Taehyung raises a brow, now realising that you're dressed up. “Where might you be going?”
You simply poke his nose with a secretive grin. He pouts at your lack of response, watching you move behind the counter. You take out two slices of bread—putting them in the toaster—and eggs from the fridge.
With a soft smile on his face, Taehyung goes to the bedroom and freshens up, quickly changing to his usual home attire. He comes back to the kitchen donning a white shirt and a pair of shorts, finding you already setting up the plate on the counter.
He stops at your side, watching you place the scrambled eggs near the toast. Then the moment you're done, he wraps his arms around your shoulders.
“What's gotten into you today?”
“Can't I shower my wife with love?” He nuzzles his nose to the crook of your neck.
You laugh softly. “Alright, alright. Now, let me just—” You place the plate on the counter, Taehyung still embracing you. “—put this. And… Do you want strawberry juice?”
He nods eagerly. You open the fridge (yes, with Taehyung is still clinging to you) and take out the cut-up frozen strawberries before placing them in the blender and pouring some water.
“Go eat, baby.” You face him after turning the blender on. “I'll be with you in a minute.”
Taehyung gives you a kiss on the cheek then moves to sit on the bar table where you have placed his breakfast. After you place a glass of strawberry juice near him, you sit next to him.
“What are your plans for today?” You ask, resting your chin on one hand.
“Hmm…” He sits straighter, swallowing the food in his mouth. With a teasing smirk, he faces you. “Well, I was planning to spend the whole day with my lovely wife. But unfortunately, I can't do that until our dinner date.”
“Should I cancel my appointments today…?” You actually look worried, and Taehyung blinks.
“No!” He says almost too quickly. “I mean— It's okay, really. We'll have our dinner date. Plus, I have another meeting to attend to soon.”
“Thought you said you were done with work today?”
“Something else came up,” Taehyung sighs in annoyance, remembering the text he received earlier from one of his employees. “I have to make a few calls. But I wouldn't miss our first Valentine dinner date after our marriage.”
You chuckle. “Alright, I should call taxi—”
Taehyung stops you. “Y/N, you know you can use my chauffeur, right?”
“The taxi's fine—” You yelp as Taehyung tugs you close to him, causing you to nearly sliding off from your seat. Placing your hands on your husband's broad shoulders, you steady yourself.
“Love, call my chauffeur, hmm?” His voice turns low, and you fight back a shiver. “I know you're still getting used to this—” He motions towards the whole penthouse. “—but at least, let me make it easier for you today, yeah?”
Inhaling a sharp breath, you nod. “O-Okay.”
A sly grin decorates his pretty lips at your agreement. “Good.” Straightening yourself, you climb down the stool. Taehyung places a chaste kiss on your lips, and you are still in a daze at the sudden change of his demeanour. You walk out of the kitchen and reach the end of the hallway. While putting on your shoes, his face peeking from the living room, and he pipes, “Don't be late for dinner!”
When the front door closes, you place a hand on your chest — on top of your still pounding heart. You let out a breath, and a smile curls up on the corner of your lips.
I swear he's going to be the death of me.
After you leave, Taehyung is left alone to his own devices. He goes to his office space with Yeontan following on his trail. Turning his laptop on, he glares at the screen. Work seems to follow him wherever and whenever despite having worked his ass off. But he’ll ensure that nothing will ruin your date night today.
Taking a deep breath, he turns on his camera, not even bothering to change out of his home attire. Taehyung’s expressions have said it all as one of his company’s branch managers who messaged him fidgets on the screen under his stare.
“What else are we missing?” His voice like the calm before the storm. “I thought the meeting earlier today has been concluded.”
“I forgot that there are some things that…” The manager rambles on, and Taehyung can sense a headache looming.
Taehyung rubs his temple as the manager finishes prattling. Sitting up straighter, he advises, “I’m going to say this only once, you work in this position to oversee the marketing branch of my company. It is your job to ensure that all the little details for today’s meeting have been presented. So, this type of incident will not happen again. Do I make myself clear?”
The manager nods rapidly.
“Good,” Taehyung leans back on his leather chair. “Now, is that all?”
Again, the manager nods.
Finally.
After ending the call and answering a few more emails, Taehyung emerges out of the office room and plops down the couch with Yeontan in his arms. He stretches his neck to the right and left, ear to his shoulder. The pomeranian rests comfortably against his chest until the doorbell rings, surprising the poor dog.
Ah, Taehyung almost forgot. He coos at the stunned dog, a light giggle escaping his lips before putting Yeontan on the dog bed, right beside the living room’s couch. “Stay, I’ll be back.” Then he walks to the door, peeking through the peephole as a grin appears on his face. Opening the door, Jimin and Jungkook pop in with smiles on their faces.
“Hey man, long time no see.” Jimin wraps his arms around Taehyung, patting his back. “How’s it going?”
“It’s rare for you to call us nowadays,” Jungkook comments after giving Tae a hug as well.
“Yeah, I’ve been working my ass off.” Taehyung sighs and locks the door.
“Where’s Y/N?” Jimin emerges out of the hallway, and he crouches as Yeontan approaches him in the living room. “Hey, buddy. Long time no see.”
“What the hell? He’s grown so much, hyung.” Jungkook follows suit, petting the pomeranian and letting out the giggle when Yeontan playfully licks him.
Taehyung clears his throat. “Y/N is out for an appointment, and you guys need to help me.”
“Right,” Jimin stands up, recalling the text Taehyung sent him a few days ago. “So, I think we can finish in around three hours? It’s only six pastries—”
“One hundred forty three,” Taehyung corrects.
Silence.
Jimin blinks rapidly, processing his friend’s words. “Are you insane? We’ll need so much ingredients for that, and I’m guessing not even your gigantic kitchen can store—”
As if on cue, the doorbell rings again.
“Ah, it has arrived,” Taehyung muses, opening the door once more to reveal a delivery man with a cart full of packed grocery ingredients.
“Delivery for Mr Kim.”
“That would be me.” Taehyung signs the tablet before letting the delivery man unload the boxes. After a few minutes, the boxes are stacked near the hallway. Taehyung turns to his friends, “So, should we start?”
“Wait, are you seriously planning on baking a hundred forty three pastries?” Jimin’s expression still shows none other than horror. “That’s impossible.”
“But…”
“Nope,” Jimin shakes his head. “That won’t work. Not even if we have more people to help.” Taehyung’s shoulders noticeably droop. Jimin puts a comforting hand on Taehyung’s shoulder and adds, “Look, we can opt for a lesser number of pastries and arrange them. It’ll look great! Plus, knowing your extra ass, I bet you still have something else planned.”
Pursing his lips, Taehyung mumbles, “Well, you’re not wrong.”
“So, we’re settled,” Jimin lets out a relieved sigh.
There’s a funny look on Jungkook’s face as he watches the whole scene unfold. Taehyung raises a brow at the younger one, who responds with a shake of his head. “I thought you lost your mind, hyung. As someone who runs a billionaire company, I thought the stress is finally getting to you.”
Taehyung rolls his eyes before he realises, “Wait, aren’t you working somewhere else now?”
“Today’s an off day for me,” Jungkook shrugs, walking alongside Taehyung to the kitchen. “So, I figured after knowing Jimin hyung is coming here, I’d tag along.”
“I see.” Taehyung sets the sack of apples on the floor beside the main kitchen counter. Jimin is already rummaging through the kitchen for empty bowls to place the necessary ingredients for the pastries. Meanwhile, Yeontan sniffs the sack of apples curiously, nudging it when the apples tumble down, scattering on the floor.
Putting the bags of cinnamon and sugar on the marble counter, Jungkook mutters, “...And now, I’m already regretting.”
✧༺♡༻∞ ∞༺♡༻✧
You watch the snow-covered trees and sidewalks in a passing blur as Taehyung’s chauffeur drives you to the town’s famous flower shop. After turning to the familiar corner of the street, a few minutes later, you arrive.
Tightening your coat tighter to yourself, you climb out of the car, taking your handbag along with you. As soon as you go through the glass door, the owner greets you. “Y/N! You’re finally here!”
“Hobi!” You greet him in a friendly hug. “How have you been? You look great!”
“I’ve been good!” He motions for you to sit on the chair at the front counter. “Just finished arranging all the bouquets for today, and finally have some peace and quiet until the truck returns, then I have to load the second batch of bouquets.”
“You sure having a busy day.” You sit on the wooden chair. “Is ____ here already?”
He shakes his head, but his eyes are filled with mirth. “She’ll come visit later, she has something to do now. So, let’s start on your thing first.”
“Oh! Did you get it?”
Hoseok nods at your question, moving back behind the cashier counter, and crouches down as he rummages through his things. “Here,” he hands you a miniature of a cherry blossom tree inside a small sealed plastic.
Your eyes light up. “Hobi, it’s perfect!”
He smiles at your reaction. “What are you going to use it for?”
“For this.” You take out an empty snow globe from your bag. “It fits perfectly.”
“Well, you did insist for me to get the right measurements.” He chuckles, watching curiously as you unseal the plastic to take out the cherry blossom tree. “If it wasn’t for my fiancé, I would’ve gotten it wrong. She literally measured it down to precision.”
You laugh, placing the tree on the uncapped snow globe. “That’s what I love about her.”
“Me too,” he giggles before clearing his throat, still smiling. “And what bouquet would you like?”
“It’s for Tae. So...”
“Hmm…” Hoseok purses his lips. “Usually, people would go for roses, tulips, and carnations for Valentine’s Day.”
You ponder for a moment, weighing your options for the perfect bouquet for your husband. “I’ll go with carnations, roses, and baby’s breath.” Hoseok nods, eyes calculating as if picturing the bouquet you’d like.
“Is it okay if I use your counter for a while to assemble this?” You point at the snow globe and miniature on the counter.
“Sure~” Hoseok chirps, striding to the buckets of flowers a few steps away.
Then as if on cue, the front door opens. “I hope I’m not late…” ____ smiles at the sight of you, then her gaze shifts to her fiancé briefly, whose eyes are already on her. “I bring the supplies,” she places a bag of arts and craft supplies you requested in front of you.
“Thank you!” You beam, excitedly giving her a hug before rummaging through the bag. “You really brought everything.”
“No problem.” She ruffles your hair affectionately. “I understand that you had to keep this a secret from Tae for the time being.” Then she turns to Hoseok.
“Hey, baby,” Hoseok grins, opening his arms, his glove-covered hands full of picked flowers. She responds with a smile of her own, wrapping her arms around his waist. “Missed you,” Hoseok mumbles into her hair.
She rolls her eyes, “We just saw each other this morning.”
“Missed you every moment,” Hoseok replies cheekily.
You smile to yourself, hearing their exchange as you work on the snow globe. Taking the glue from the bag, you gingerly apply it to the bottom of the miniature cherry blossom and then stick it to the flat surface of the snow globe. You hold it in that position for a few moments before letting it go to dry.
____ once again stands beside you as Hoseok continues to work on the bouquet. She curiously observes what you’re doing and comments, “Did you come up with this idea?”
You nod. “Yeah, I thought of creating something special for him. After all, it’s our first Valentine’s together as newlyweds.”
Not a minute later, Hoseok already calls for his fiancé from the wrapping table on the other side of the room. “Babe, can you please help me with these?”
____ gives him a glance. “You’re just making excuses to be near me. You usually have everything under control.”
Hoseok wails in vain. “Pleaseee. Usually, I’d have Jungkook helping me. But ever since he’s gotten so busy with his new job, I haven’t been able to find another part-timer. So, I thought you’re helping me today.”
Failing to stifle a smile, ____ mutters a quiet ‘he’s so needy’ and then moves to help whatever Hoseok requires.
You chuckle hearing their banter. Just listening or watching them has always strangely brought warmth inside you. They treat you as their younger sibling, or even their child at times, but you can’t bring yourself to be annoyed at the treatment. Not when you know how they genuinely care about you.
Despite not tying the knot yet, they are the ones who made you believe that soulmates (or at least something really close to it) exist. And you hoped it’ll be the same for you and Taehyung.
Taehyung prides himself in many things—running his billion-dollar worth corporation, doing art, and gaming. He’d like to say that there are still many hidden capabilities that he has yet to discover. However, in the recent light of events, he is close to admitting that talent in the kitchen is a definite no.
“No! What are you doing?!” Jungkook gapes at the smashed apple in Taehyung’s hold, its juices dripping down onto the counter. “You’re making a mess, hyung! And you aren’t supposed to cut like that! Are you trying to commit a murder?”
“I thought this is how you cut it open...” The man in question mumbles, staring glumly at his work.
“No,” Jungkook groans. “You do it like this.” He slices the apple in half easily.
Right. Another aspect that Taehyung seems to lack is the ability to follow or listen to instructions. His primary instinct is either to go with the flow or dive right into whatever he’s facing. Hence, it’s still a work-in-progress since following others is just not his forte—
—except you. Your lilting accent whenever you speak, or even subtle actions, Taehyung follows you easily. One of your little habits—taking deep breaths whenever your emotions are getting the best of you—Taehyung has picked up that so effortlessly.
Like how currently, he’s taking a deep breath to not let his rising frustration get the best of him.
“Like this?” Taehyung attempts the way Jungkook cuts the apple—cutting it in half, aligning with the stem and core, then trying to slice it thinly.
Jungkook nods, observing Taehyung. Jimin, on the other hand, stifles his laughter as he assembles the apple slices on the pastry sheets. The blatant impatience in Jungkook’s face grows more and more apparent at Taehyung’s skill—or, rather lack thereof—in dealing with a knife. “Okay, I think it’s better if I do the rest of it,” Jungkook takes the cutting board, and the apples left. “You can help Jimin hyung do the pastries—shit!”
One of the apple pieces—a chunk, to be precise—rolls off the plate and falls onto the ground. Jungkook’s eyes widen in horror as a fluff of black and brown fur zooms past his legs and picks up the fallen apple as quick as lightning.
“Yeontan, no!”
So, while Yeontan munches happily on his newly-attained snack and a string of curses escapes Jungkook’s lips, Taehyung snatches the cutting board back. He resumes slicing the apples slowly. He’s a man with determination, after all. He’d like to be the reason his wife’s eyes light up with glee as she tastes the apple roses pastries he put his heart into.
Jungkook fusses in the background, “Can dogs eat apples?”
Jimin, now, can barely contain his laughter at the unfurling of the whole scene. “Well… I think so.”
“You think so?” Jungkook groans, quickly fetching his phone from the living room. He furiously types on his phone and googles: can dogs eat apples. “I will not be responsible if Yeontan falls ill and— Oh, thank goodness.” He lets out a relieved sigh. “It makes healthy snacks for them instead.”
“Yeah, it does,” Taehyung replies nonchalantly. “I usually let him have a piece or two without the seeds.”
Jungkook grumbles. “Why didn’t you answer me in the first place then? I panicked—”
“Cuz it’s fun to watch your reaction,” Taehyung and Jimin said in unison.
“And it serves you right...” Taehyung adds, mumbling.
“Screw you guys. I’m not helping with this anymore.” Jungkook crosses his arms, pouting.
“This is for my wife, you know,” Taehyung reminds him, “And remember how my wife is close to Hoseok’s fiance—”
Jungkook picks up the knife in record time.
✧༺♡༻∞ ∞༺♡༻✧
You stare at the finished snow globe in satisfaction, capping back the glycerin and distilled water bottle tightly. Then after you’re confident that everything’s all settled and cleaned up, you tilt the globe a few times to make sure the content is all set and doesn’t spill.
The cherry blossom tree stands tall as tiny leaf-like cutouts of pastel pink cascade through the liquid in slow motion, like real falling cherry blossoms.
“Wow, it’s so pretty,” ____ comments after she helped Hoseok with the bouquet.
You grin at her compliment before placing the snow globe in an empty black gift box. “I hope Tae will love this.”
“He sure will,” ____ muses, watching you tie the gift box. “You know he’ll love anything you give him. And—”
“Babe, can you help me get some ribbons?” Hoseok asks from the wrapping table across the room.
“Sure,” ____ chuckles, grabbing a basket of colourful ribbons under the counter and handing it to Hoseok.
“Can you help me tape around the edges?” Hoseok lifts the bouquet of flowers, gaze pointing at the bulk of stems. ____ complies, following his instructions before wrapping it with cotton paper.
You stand up from your seat and move closer to the couple. At the sight of the assembled flowers, you gape, “Now, that’s pretty.”
“I’m glad you like it,” He chuckles, tying the wrapped bouquet with a ribbon. “And we’re done!” He hands you the bouquet.
Taking a closer look at the vibrant hues of red, pink, and white, you stare in awe. “I love it!”
After bidding Hoseok and ____ goodbye, you step out of the shop with the bouquet and gift box in hand. Taehyung’s chauffeur opens the door to the car, and you climb in quickly to avoid the cold weather.
“Where would you like to go, Mrs. Kim?” The chauffeur asks as he drives.
“The bakery please. It’s a few blocks away from here.”
You hum to yourself a soft, happy tune. Just imagining how your husband would react has your heart fluttering and giddy. Wondering what he’s up to, you take out your phone from your coat and press on his number.
The familiar ring buzzes a few times until he answers. “Hey, baby.”
“Hey,” you smile. “What are you up to?”
“Hmm? Uh, nothing?” He answers, then you hear the sound of clanking and familiar whispers in the background.
“Tae… What are you doing?”
He hums. “Well, I thought I should clean up the penthouse before our dinner tonight.”
“Oh,” you giggle. “Did you really call Jimin and Jungkook to help clean up our place?”
Taehyung mutters a curse under his breath. “W-Well, they are willing to help. So, why not?”
“Usually, you’d call the usual cleaning services. Plus, isn’t Jimin’s bakery busy today?”
“Unfortunately, not this time, sweetheart. I’ve prepared some things tonight and I don’t want people nosing around.” Taehyung explains. “And Jimin says his girlfriend got it under control.”
You let out an amused chuckle. “Alright then.” Glancing out the car window, the pastel pink store is nearing. “I need to go now. See you tonight, baby.”
“See you soon, my love.”
The smile never leaves Taehyung’s face as he puts his phone back into his pocket and walks back to the kitchen. Jungkook is still cutting apples while Jimin cracks some eggs into a bowl.
“Was that Y/N?” Jimin spares a brief glance as he whisks the eggs.
Taehyung nods. “She asked what I was doing.”
“Nothing at all…” Jungkook mutters under his breath, arranging the sliced apples on a plate and putting them in the microwave.
“I heard that,” Taehyung narrows his stare at the younger one. “So… How are things between you and her, Kookie?”
Jungkook falters. “Uh, I don’t know what you’re talking about.”
“Ah, yes, do you know I just met her in my meeting a few days ago?” A teasing smirk curls up on Taehyung’s lips as Jungkook pouts, still arranging the second batch of apples.
“Don’t fight you guys.” Jimin groans. “We’re not even halfway done with this!”
Taehyung opens his mouth to complain, and Jimin cuts him off. “So, you’re going to prepare the muffin tray—” Jimin instructs Taehyung. “Then Jungkook is going to help me with the pastries.”
“Can I help with the pastries instead?” Taehyung watches Jimin pouring cinnamon and sugar into another bowl. “Jungkook can prep the muffin trays.”
“Are you up for it?” Jimin raises a brow. Taehyung nods enthusiastically.
“Alright. But make sure to follow how I do it.”
Taehyung smiles giddily and stands beside his friend. He follows every action Jimin does: brushing egg wash on the pastry, sprinkling cinnamon and sugar on the dough, arranging the apples, and rolling it into a tart.
“So, how’s things so far with Goldilocks?” Taehyung questions once he gets the hang of arranging the pastries.
Jimin lets out a sheepish chuckle. “That’s her pet goldfish’s name, you know.”
Jungkook places the muffin tray after he preps it. “And she made me carry the whole tank back home…” Jungkook grumbles, recalling the past event.
Taehyung shrugs. “Then Ms. Shooting Star.”
Jimin fights back a blush on his cheeks at the mention of that. “I’m beginning to regret telling you all that.”
Taehyung wiggles his eyebrows with a teasing smirk.
“We’re both really busy these days, and we said to take things slow since her parents are a bit complicated, but nothing I couldn’t handle.”
Jungkook chuckles, “Says the one who had a mental breakdown right before Christmas dinner.
Jimin glares at the younger one. “Look who’s talking. I wonder if you’d ever grow the balls to admit your feelings for She-Who-Shall-Not-Be-Named.”
“I don’t have feelings for her.” Jungkook mutters, looking away.
Taehyung nods. “Well, then. That’s good to know. One of my business partners was asking about her the other day. I thought I’d introduce them. “
Jungkook rolls his eyes. “Great, now you’re playing cupid?”
“Not yet. But I got one in mind who’s very interested in her…”
“Please, don’t.” Jungkook whispers, gritting his teeth.
“What was that?” Taehyung asks with an open hand behind his ear.
“Don’t…”
“What?”
“Please, for fuck’s sake. Don’t introduce any of your friends to her beyond business interest.”
Silence.
Jungkook blinks before he rambles, “I mean it’s going to be creepy if someone that’s fifty years older hits on her—”
“Oh, no. I can guarantee he’s not that old. In fact, he’s still a bachelor. Maybe a few years older than us. And—” Taehyung recalls, rolling the last apple rose pastry and placing it on the muffin tray. “—come to think of it, she did ask me about him once...” Taehyung trails, noticing Jungkook’s blank expression at the information. “Oops, I think I wasn’t supposed to say that.”
✧༺♡༻∞ ∞༺♡༻✧
“They all look so good,” you mutter, scouring through the vast chocolate choices under the display glass.
[Name] shoots you a smile. “Take all the time you need. The cafe isn’t open today, so it’s not that busy here.”
You glance around the bakery briefly. “I can tell… No wonder Jimin is with Taehyung right now.”
“Mhmm…” [Name] nods; she leans forward on the glass display, chin resting against one palm.
“Are you okay spending time here alone…?”
She shrugs. “I was promised a date in the winter market tonight. So, I don’t mind—” The sudden ringtone of her phone cuts her off. “Wait, gimme a sec—” You nod as she picks up her phone. “Mochi?”
A chuckle escapes your lips at the cute nickname.
“No, I can’t go there right now. It’s still too early to close up.” She glances at the wall clock. “Huh? What do you mean Jungkook left?” Your gaze shifts up from the sweet displays to her worried expression. “Oh, okay.” She drums her fingers on the counter. “I’ll talk to him if he goes here. Bye— yes, love you too.” She presses the disconnect button.
“Is everything okay?” You ask curiously.
She responds with a nod. “You know the usual, Taehyung and Jimin teases Jungkook too much and now, he’s gone off to blow some steam.”
“To where—” The door to the bakery slams open, and there a huffy Jungkook appears.
“That was fast,” [Name] sniggers at her best friend.
“Not in the mood,” Jungkook pouts, sitting on the closest table to the cashier counter.
“They giving you a hard time?” [Name] places a steaming mug of hot chocolate on his table and tilts her head slightly.
Jungkook huffs once more, sipping the drink carefully. Honestly, he doesn’t even know what got him so worked up. He’s used to all his hyungs’ teasing, but...
“Tell me about it,” [Name] places a steaming mug of hot chocolate on his table. “After I helped Y/N with her chocolate.”
Jungkook blinks, now realising that you’re standing awkwardly in front of the glass displays. “Hey, Y/N.”
“Hi, Jungkook,” you greet him back and turn to look at the desserts again. “And uh, I’ll take this and this…” You point out all the chocolate you’d like, earning a nod from [Name].
As soon as she’s done packing the chocolate box, you bid them farewell and exit the bakery with your heart fluttering in anticipation and excitement.
The peaceful atmosphere in the kitchen ceases the moment Taehyung’s phone dings when a text notification appears. Taehyung—who was busy admiring his final work on the muffin tray—takes a glimpse of his phone’s screen on the counter. “Oh no.”
Jimin takes the muffin tray off the counter and sets it in the oven. “What?”
“Jungkook just texted me that Y/N is coming back now.”
“Huh?” Jimin’s eyes widen. “But the pastries aren’t done yet!”
Another ding resounds through Taehyung’s phone.
Jungkook: Good luck tryna hide the pastries :P
“He can be annoying if he wants to...” Taehyung mutters under this breath at Jungkook’s retaliation.
“Well, we did hit a nerve by talking about her...” Jimin sighs, crossing his arms.
Taehyung snorts. “The kid needs to get it sorted out as quickly as possible. He sometimes just needs a push.”
“He still needs time,” Jimin counters, shaking his head. “Not all people have it easy in admitting their feelings.”
Taehyung mulls for a minute and nods in understanding. “I guess I shouldn’t push him too hard. But for now, I should find a way to distract Y/N,” Taehyung searches for your contact. “How long do you think we need?”
Jimin mentally calculates the time. “Like forty minutes to an hour?”
“Okay,” Taehyung clicks on your number. He clears his throat once you pick up the phone, “Y/N? Hey, baby, I might need help picking up something...”
“Oh, sure. What is it?”
“I need your help to pick up a cooking book I’ve been searching for…”
“...Cooking? Since when you’re interested in—”
“Look, I’ve been trying to find a new hobby and I thought why not cooking? Jimin recommended me to try it.” Taehyung blabbers, his heart beating fast. “And it’ll be fun if we do it together, right?”
“Okay.” The amusement in your tone lights up his face into a shy smile. “Send me which book you’re looking for and I’ll check with ____ if she has it. Just hope she and Hobi haven’t gone out for their date yet.”
“Thanks, love. I owe you one.”
He can hear the smile on your voice as you respond, “I only accept payment in kisses and cuddles.”
Taehyung chuckles fondly. “Consider it done.” Once you end the call, Taehyung checks the pastries in the oven, mumbling, “I hope that would keep her busy for a while.”
Jimin nods. “The first batch is almost done. But the second one—an hour should be enough...” He trails, voice filled with uncertainty.
“It has to be enough.” Taehyung picks up the dirty bowls and dumps it in the kitchen sink. “It should be...”
Jimin helps clean up the counter, even ensuring that there isn’t a trace of flour on the floor before he checks his phone briefly and pockets it back in his jeans. He moves near the oven—hands covered by the oven mitts—and tentatively takes out the first batch of apple roses pastries from the top rack and puts it on the counter.
“Let it cool off for a while and then you can hide it in the fridge or a container. Oh, and how will you plan to arrange the—”
Taehyung rinses off the remaining utensils—taking his washing gloves off—and rummages through the cabinets, taking out a heart-shaped platter.
With an unamused expression, Jimin blinks a few times. “You just have all kinds of things in your kitchen, do you?”
Taehyung shrugs. “Y/N came across it the other day and thought it was pretty. She didn’t buy it, so I bought it instead.”
A flabbergasted laugh escapes Jimin’s lips as he shakes his head. “Well, I better get going now. I don’t want to be late for my date tonight.”
“Thanks for your help, man. Couldn’t have done it without you.”
“That’s what friends are for, yeah?” Jimin walks out to the front door and wears his coat before giving Taehyung a farewell hug. “And you should apologise to Jungkook too. He’s probably still having his pity-party in my bakery.”
Taehyung nods, opening the door. “I will.”
After Jimin left, Taehyung goes back to the kitchen. He puts one leg and the other over the pet barrier he set to prevent Yeontan from stealing any more fallen ingredients. Said dog is whimpering in front of the kitchen doorway until the front door clicks. Then he hears the familiar footsteps of his wife.
So, of course, things aren’t going according to Taehyung’s plan today.
✧༺♡༻∞ ∞༺♡༻✧
After retrieving Taehyung’s desired cookbook, you arrive in the lobby. You stop by the receptionist desk to hide the gifts and tell them to bring it up to the penthouse at your call around seven in the evening.
The moment you step through the door, the sweet smell of cinnamon fills the air. Taking off your boots and coat, you call out for your husband. “Tae? You in here?” You head towards the kitchen to find it barricaded by Yeontan’s fence barrier. “What the—” You lift one leg over the barricade, and your other leg follows. You stride to the refrigerator to get a drink, only to find it blocked.
When you glance down, there your husband lays—his long legs blocking the fridge—with a strained smile on his face, looking absolutely winded. “You’re back.”
“My goodness, what happened here?” You crouch, helping him sit up. “Did the cleaning go wrong?”
Taehyung shakes his head, leaning against the refrigerator. “Everything’s well. Just… Resting… For a while.”
“Are you okay?” You tilt your head. “I’m gonna get you some water—”
Your husband stops you, leaning in to give you a peck on the lips. “Hi.”
An involuntary shy smile appears on your face. “Hi there, do you mind scooting? I want to get a drink.”
He shakes his head again, winding his arms around you. “It’s okay... I’m— I’ll take it for you.”
“Hmm? But you can barely even move, Tae…” You reach out, moving a stray hair from his handsome face.
“I can…” he pouts, grasping your hand on his hair to kiss your palm. “Just give me a minute.”
With a teasing smile on your face, you reach for the refrigerator handle again and attempt to open it when your husband stands up.
He’s definitely hiding something, but luckily he’s cute. “Alright…” You muse, watching his attempt to keep you from opening the fridge. But you suppose you’ll comply with his conspicuous actions. “I’ll wait in the living room.”
After you head out of the kitchen, Taehyung opens the fridge—releases a breath as he takes out a water bottle—and closes it again. He goes out to the living room, finding you giggling as Yeontan playfully licks your face on the couch. The sight brings warmth inside Taehyung’s heart as he strides closer and sits beside you, handing you your water.
“Thanks.” You let Yeontan down from the couch before taking the water bottle. While you drink your fill, Taehyung lays his head on your lap, letting out a contented sigh as you weave your fingers through his dark locks. “What time is dinner again?”
“Seven.”
Capping the water bottle, you glance at the wall clock in front of you. “So… Two more hours. I gotta get ready.”
“Hmm…?” Taehyung opens his eyes. “But we’re celebrating here...”
You let out a quiet laugh. “You said you want to reenact our first date.”
Your husband blinks once, then realisation falls upon him as he groans in embarrassment, sitting up. “You’re actually considering it?”
“Why not? It’s a cute idea,” you giggle. “It’s only between us both.”
Facing you, he questions, “It’s not too cheesy or anything?” Uncertainty is evident in his gaze.
“Of course not.” You grin, encircling your arms around him. “I love that idea actually.”
He lets out a sheepish chuckle. “Then I’ll see you in two hours?” Taehyung bites his bottom lip—a habit when he’s nervous—but he still holds your stare. “I’ll use the guest bathroom to freshen up. So, you get the bathroom all to yourself.”
“Oh? We can share as usual—”
“But that won’t fully reenact our first date, you know, before we’re living together—” He rambles, eyes darting everywhere, but you. You, on the other hand, fail to stifle a smile at his flustered state. Nodding in understanding, you stand up. Taehyung grasps your wrist, causing you to turn to him. “No kisses for me?”
You lean down, levelling your face with his, with a teasing smirk. “I don’t kiss on the first date, handsome.”
“You know what, on second thought—”
“See you later, baby.” Escaping his clutches, you go straight to your bedroom for your “first” date with your husband.
Taehyung has never been this nervous before, well, ever since your wedding day—the moment you walked down the aisle with a beautiful smile on your face that he needed to pull himself together before he turns into a sobbing mess and—
Okay, the point is, Taehyung has presented business plans, his company’s valuation, and other significant matters in front of hundreds or even thousands of people. He managed to stay calm and collected in every presentation—full of confidence as he moved across the stage with ease.
But when it comes to you? He wonders where did all that confidence go. And you’re just one person. The one person who he had promised to cherish and love, and—
He lets out a deep breath, staring at himself in the guest bathroom mirror. In a deep burgundy suit, he does a once-over at his appearance before the sound of the doorbell rings. He rushes out and ushers the staff, who brings a decorated table in along with the surprises he prepared.
A few minutes later, when all is set, he knocks on your bedroom door, straightening his suit jacket in nervousness.
The moment the door swings open, Taehyung’s throat goes dry as he gapes at you, adorning the same black dress you wore on your first date. Your eyes momentarily grow wide as well at his choice of outfit—the same one he used on the first date—before bursting into a giggle. “Wow, we do think alike…”
Snapping out of his trance, he nods. “And you still look breathtaking as ever.”
“Stop stroking my ego.” You move closer to him, looping your arm through his as he leads you to the living room.
“You know I can’t help myself,” Taehyung chuckles.
A gasp escapes your lips as soon as you see what has been prepared. The whole room is lit up by candles—some real, some fake—yet, there are no other words than to describe it as beautiful. The couch and coffee table has been set aside, and in the middle of the living room, a candlelit table stands with meals for two prepared on it. Your gaze falls on the bouquet of roses Taehyung has in hand.
“It’s beautiful,” you mutter in awe.
Taehyung grins. “A hundred and forty-three roses for the love of my life.”
You gape, taking the bouquet into your arms. “A hundred forty-three?”
“It means ‘I love you’.” His gaze is full of emotions. “I don’t know if I’ll ever live up to be the man of your dreams. But I can continue—” He takes your hand in his. “—to love you even more as we spend our lives together.”
Silence.
Your gaze is glassy and unreadable. Then you blink your eyes rapidly, looking up at the ceiling. “Damn it, Tae. I’m using makeup.”
“Huh?”
Placing down the bouquet on the coffee table, you reach out for the tissue, dabbing your eyes carefully before fanning your hands.
“Oh no, don’t cry—”
“It’s your fault for making such a speech. You know how emotional I get when you do that.” You dab your eyes more as Taehyung wraps his arms around your waist from behind.
“Oh sweetheart,” Taehyung coos as you face him. You stare into his loving gaze for a few moments before you clear your throat. However, as if on cue, the doorbell rings. Taehyung furrowed his brows. “Expecting someone?”
“Wait here.” Pulling away from his hold, you rush to the door. The moment you return to the living room with presents in hand, Taehyung gapes as you hand him the bouquet and gift box.
“What is this?” He observes the gift box curiously, then admires the flowers. “It’s beautiful.”
You sit on the couch, patting the space beside you. Taehyung follows suit, placing the bouquet on the coffee table before untying the gift box’s black ribbon before his breath hitches in his throat.
With trembling hands, he lifts up the snow globe carefully. “It’s… Isn’t this where we met?”
You nod. “Just so you know, I couldn’t wish for a better person to be with,” you start. “I think some part of me has always known that you’d be the man of my dreams. Ever since you spilled strawberry juice on my shirt.”
It takes him a few moments to process your words as his eyes shift from the snow globe to you; a chuckle passes his lips. “First, that was an accident. And do you… really mean that?”
Taking his free hand on yours, you lace your fingers together. “I married you, didn’t I?” Your wedding rings gleam softly, reflecting the light of the burning candles in the room.
“Made me the happiest man alive.” He recalls the memories of falling cherry blossoms, spilled strawberry juice and frantic apologies-turned-laughter. A soft smile appears on your face after putting the snow globe back on its box. He turns to you. “I really want to kiss you right now.”
You raise a brow at him. “What’s stopping you?”
“You don’t kiss on first dates.”
“Well…” You lean closer to him. “I think I can make an exception for the man of my dreams.”
Taehyung exhales, “Thank heavens.” He cups your face gently, clearing the remaining distance between the both of you. No matter how many times you kiss, it never fails to send his heart beating a tad faster or put a smile on his face. In other words, Taehyung is head over heels in love with you.
After a few moments, you pull away, and he chases after you, but you place a pointer finger on his lips. “Dinner first,” you remind him.
He sighs in defeat, lips turning into a pout and nodded. Once you both finish dinner, you lean back on your chair, patting your stomach. “That was a nice meal.”
“I have one more surprise for you.”
Your eyes widen in surprise, “What is it?” With a secretive grin, Taehyung stands from his seat and makes a beeline to the kitchen. You can hear the fridge opening and closing before your husband walks out of the kitchen with a—
“Isn’t that the platter I saw a few days ago?”
Excitement is written on his face at your realisation, placing the platter in front of you. You let out a gasp at the sight of the neatly-arranged apple rose pastries.
“I made it myself,” Taehyung beams. “Jimin and Jungkook came to help a bit.”
“A bit?” You tease, shooting him a glance before setting your gaze back on the pastries. “These look almost too pretty to eat.”
Taehyung drags his seat to your side and plops down. Anticipation is apparent in his eyes as he watches you pick up a pastry and bites into it. Another gasp escapes your throat at the burst of sweetness spreading across your tastebuds. You stare at him in shock as you chew.
“So?” He waits for your response. “How does it taste?”
“It’s...” You swallow the remaining pastry in your mouth down. “Really good.” Taehyung’s eyes twinkle at your compliment. “I’m… Wow,” you breathe out, utterly speechless. “So, this is why you wanted to start cooking?”
He blinks, with realisation dawning upon him, then he scratches the back of his neck in embarrassment. “Actually… That was to keep you distracted for a while. I wasn’t done baking the pastries yet.”
Snorting, you lift another pastry in front of your husband’s mouth; he bites and chews for a few seconds. And stops.
You furrow your brows at his odd reaction. “What’s wrong?”
“Shit—” Taehyung rushes to the guest bathroom without another word. Placing the half-bitten pastry on the empty plate, you follow suit and find your husband retching on the toilet bowl. Once he’s done, he reaches for a mouthwash. “I think—” He gargles the mouthwash then spit into the sink. “—that one is still undercooked.”
“Oh, no. I’m sorry. I didn’t know—” you ramble, watching Taehyung wipe his mouth with a paper towel, then washes his hands.
He cradles your face with his dried hands. “It’s my fault. I didn’t check if all the pastries are fully baked. I’m sorry.”
“You okay, now?” Your voice sounds uncertain, hands covering his bigger ones.
He nods reassuringly. “It’s not that bad. Maybe I was over-exaggerating— oof.” You poke his stomach in retaliation as he giggles.
“You had me worried.”
“And you’re still a worrywart.” He rubs his nose on yours affectionately. “My adorable worrywart.”
Your gaze falls on his drenched shirt (and luckily, he already discarded his burgundy suit). “Your shirt is ruined now.”
“Hmm...? Oh, dear,” he feigns worry, leaning on the marble sink—his palms on your hips. “Now, what do we do? Do you wanna—” You roll your eyes at the teasing glint in his eyes. Knowing what he’s up to, your fingers unbutton his shirt, leaving him flustered at your sudden movement. “W-Wait—!”
You pull the collar of his half-unbuttoned shirt, leaning forward to have his face so close to yours. Both your lips just millimetres away from each other. Voice dropping into a lilting whisper, you purr, “Let me make it easier for you today, yeah?”
Shivers run down Taehyung’s spine at your familiar words. “Is this payback because of this morning?” You shrug and finish unbuttoning his shirt. His lean chest on display to your eyes now. “Or is this just an excuse to get me naked?”
A teasing smirk curls up on your lips. “A bit of both.” Then you wrap your arms around his neck, closing the distance between you—lips claiming his own.
Humming in approval, Taehyung winds his arms around your waist. Fire ignites inside you as you pull away briefly. Your husband turns you around, settling you on the marble counter of the sink while he stands between your legs.
Your dress hikes up to your thighs, but you can’t bring yourself to care. Not when the man of your dreams drags his luscious lips across your jaw and trails down your neck. Your breath hitches when he kisses your sweet spot; fisting his opened shirt by the shoulder as he rains kisses on your collar bones, nipping on it.
“Tae—” You breathe out as he hums in response, tugging the zipper on the back of your dress down. “—kiss me, please.”
And he complies, claiming your lips.
Tangling your fingers through his hair, you let out a sigh as he trails downward once more, scraping the skin of your throat with his teeth. Tugging the straps of your dress off your shoulders and letting them pool on your waist, he lets out, “You’re gorgeous.” He places a kiss on the juncture between your neck and shoulder. A soft whimper emits from your throat. “So damn gorgeous. And all mine.”
Tracing his jaw—half-lidded gaze staring at him—you whisper, “Why don’t we take this somewhere else more comfortable?”
Almost instantly, he lifts you up in his arms—your legs winding around his waist, arms around his neck—heads out of the bathroom and lays you gently on the bed. You discard your dress as it falls in a heap of silk on the rug. Then you tug off Taehyung’s shirt as he climbs on top of you.
“You’re spoiling me so much today. Thank you,” You mutter, holding your husband’s face in your hands.
“Thank you, my love. What I did today, it’s the least I can do,” He stares back at you with so much love, leaning down to kiss you softly. “After all, I’d do anything to make you smile.”
You chuckle at that, poking his nose. “I love you.”
He holds one hand of yours and kisses your palm. “And I love you.”
The remaining articles of clothing find themselves in a heap on the floor as your husband reminds you of your wedding night—making love to you into the late hours of the night.
EPILOGUE
“Don’t go…” he mumbles sleepily, keeping his arms around your naked waist.
“Tae, let me go, I just need a drink—” you wriggle in his hold to break free. “—my throat is really dry—” And your husband has the nerve to chuckle at your words. He lets out a pained groan as you poke his stomach (maybe a bit too hard), and finally, he lets you loose.
Climbing off the bed, you pick up his shirt and don it quickly. However, the moment you step out of the bedroom, an unpleasant smell wafts through your nostrils, and when you reach the living room, you gape in horror.
“Yeontan!” You shriek at the sight as the said perpetrator waddles towards you with his round innocent eyes.
Your husband emerges—bare-chested and in his boxers—out of the bedroom at your alarming shriek. Once he sees the scattered dog waste across the marble floor, he mutters, “I think we ignored him for too long.”
