Hello yellowbelly racer! Thank you for making a stop with us here today. A beautifully colored, sleek, and quick little colubrid, there's so very much to praise about you! For now we focus on your cold weather living arrangements. While you are a shy, solitary snake the vast majority of the year, when winter rolls its way into town and it comes time to wait out the cold, you happily share a burrow with other snakes looking for their own long winter nap. For this sweet behavior, we gladly give you Snake Swag Bracket's WINTER ROOMMATES award!

Was cruising the Shipping wiki specifically to find some bullshit and found this on the page for Riku and Mickey Mouse (itself labeled "friendship")-
"There have even been a rare few who have slash shipped them, although it is not a very common dynamic. It has often been frowned upon by fans, due to the height difference, age difference and the fact that they are separate species."
Like half the fandom was crack-shipping them in 2010. If you needed a crack ship in that fandom, that's where you went. Wiku and Michael Rat.
Tumblr media
We have forgotten the pure shock and devastating might of the crack ship and for what? Puritanism? Canonization? What kind of stupidity have we descended to? We must look back to the patron saints of crack shippery, and their pure and beautiful message.

Fandom- return to your roots.

YOUNGBLOOD; YELLOWBELLY by swanchime
IFDB - Game Note: this was a La Petite Mort entry.
Summary: a hannibal inspired cookbook…of sorts
You know how cooking blogs have those insanely long recipe posts, in which they talk about their whole life, often mentioning things that have absolutely no link with the recipe, tongs of pictures (but not of the dish!) and sometime parsing the steps of the recipe throughout those irrelevant bits, so that it becomes impossible to get clear instructions? To me, the entry emulated that to almost a T.
Though, instead of your run-of-the-mill regular folks with quirky recipes, this one is much more eerie and uneasy to read through, emanating a more sinister vibe than you'd expect from a cookbook (unless you read the blurb before hand). There is something quite wrong there, pushed forward by the interface and the eerie music, but it is not explicit in what - though the game hints at it with wink-wink-nudge-nudge jokes enough.
Some frustrating elements in with the interface: the animated background is pretty distracting as it is much brighter than any other element on the page (I had to turn it of with the console); the text block is quite small, especially for the length of the passage, forcing you to scroll a lot; and the typed text speed is way too slow (can be helped by pressing the Spacebar, though).

I had a great day out at Myponga reservoir recently, participating in some fish sampling with Recfish SA and SARDI. The native fish are thriving in this spectacular location even with the large biomass of redfin, some of which are on the menu for the larger natives. In fact, the scientists tagged a 72cm cod which had a redfin hanging out of it’s mouth! I can also report that I saw some of the recently stocked rainbow trout hunting baitfish in the shallow margins too. A magnificent fishery going from strength to strength! #goldenperch #callop #yellowbelly #murraycod #rainbowtrout #redfin #mypongareservoir #reservoirssa #recfishsa #sardi #citizenscience #catchandrelease #freshwaterfishing #fishing #fishingsamagazine #tackleworldadelaide #jarviswalker https://www.instagram.com/p/Cp056uhyliy/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

Start your engines, here come the racers! The blue racer (Coluber constrictor foxii) and the eastern yellowbelly racer (Coluber constrictor flaviventris) are both subspecies of Coluber constrictor, the eastern racer. Blue racers can be found in the midwest US, from Iowa to Ohio. The eastern yellowbelly racer has a slightly larger range, from Montana eastward to Iowa, down south towards Texas and Louisiana, and with a few isolated populations found in Canada. Both subspecies are quick, shy snakes that seem to prefer to avoid human interaction whenever possible, and willing to bite if handled (both the blue racer and eastern yellowbelly racer are nonvenemous). Both snakes are named for their coloration--blue racers are known for their blue or gray scales on their back and sides, fading to white on their bellies, and for the 'mask' of dark black scales going back from their eyes. Eastern yellowbelly racers are typically gray on their backs and sides, with yellow belly scales. However, juvenile eastern yellowbelly racers are typically tan or cream colored, with brown or gray blotches across their body, and their color will gradually change as they age and shed their skin.
