She didn’t want to go to this stupid thing in the first place.

Her boyfriend had talked all about this “exotic” belly dancing bar and she already knew it was an excuse to gawk at the ladies without her being able to say anything.

And she was determined not to be the nag this time. She was being ‘cool girlfriend’, who happily came along and watched half-naked women dance and gave them a cheer and a tip at the end of it.

But then she got there.

And all of the women were stunning.

Now, she’d seen attractive women before (and maybe hooked up with a few back in college, just to experiment), but these bellydancers were truly mesmerising.

The way the little about of silk covering them draped off their curves, the way their jewellery sparkled as it caught the light.

Not to mention the way they moved.

It was so fluid, and natural, like flowing water. They twisted and rolled their bodies so effortlessly, around and around.

No wonder her boyfriend chose this bar.

Speak of, he was currently being flirted with by a goddess with dark curls and brown eyes you could melt into.

Somehow, she found that her jealousy was more of him than her.

“Hello, Miss, care for a dance?” A voice spoke up behind her.

Before she even turned, the sultry voice had her attention. Bright green eyes met hers, before travelling all the way down her body.

She shivered.

“Oh,” she said awkwardly as the woman slowly continued rolling her shoulders and stomach, “you don’t have to.”

“They’re free.” The dancer smiled, before beginning her dance.

She watched on, the fabric twisting and turning with every movement, the light causing the jewel in her bellybutton to shine.

It was like she couldn’t look away.

But that was silly! Of course she could look away. Except, she couldn’t… she tried and found the woman’s eyes ridding her of any thoughts, any free will, she just needed to keep watching.

The noise of the bar faded into the background. It wasn’t importantly anymore. All she wanted to do was keep watching every inch of tan skin twist and turn under the lights.

At some point the woman guided her to stand, leading her somewhere she could watch a private dance…
