Hey, I have been a fan of your blog and content for a long while now. You probably remember me from the nage post a while back

I have this idea for an au and thought you might find it interesting. Basically, it's like those aus where mirabel is the new head of the house/ candle keeper or whatever people call it. The miracle or Casita (your choice) doesn't give mirabel a gift in hopes that the family would understand that she is the next head of the house, but of course, that didn't happen. After years of seeing mirabel being forgotten and pushed aside, Casita/ the miracle decides to show the family and the town mirabel's role in a big way. I am not sure of the specifics of how it happens, but mirabel is fused with the candle, and not only can she use all of the families gifts (tho only one at a time and for a limited time) but she can turn Into a fricking dragon.

looking back was it a little insane YES however it was very fun and we enjoyed ourselves and it made our very long boring school days much more entertaining…sadly i’m not really friends with that girl anymore (she was lowkey crazy i can’t even lie like i’m not sad we’re not friends because i miss her but because we had some fun times together) but the lore we (mostly me honestly) came up with was so extensive and deep i still think abt it sometimes

if sae was like his miraverse counterpart he’d fr be a fav of mine already but alas this is what we have to work with

i think it’s really interesting but also very true!! like if you have a fire artist then you can get away with doing much less actual storytelling because your artist carries you…i don’t think that’s a critique of all animanga because there are several that are only elevated by the art and the art serves a purpose in tandem with the writing — the problem to me is when the art is what’s carrying the writing or is filling in holes that the writing does not bother dealing with!! for example attack on titan — it has its own problems which i won’t touch on atm because i’m exhausted by it but in this specific aspect it outdoes jjk in the sense that you could tell the story in just words (and believe me, i have) without making anything up and it flows fairly well/doesn’t feel like anything is missing or glossed over, and the manga panels/anime just serve to give shape to the story the words are telling instead of carrying the story along on their own. omg that tik tok i was talking about had a comment that made me crack up it was like “people will see a single very simple parallel and immediately declare it peak writing” and that’s honestly so true 😭 in a similar vein whenever people praise jjk for its female cast…name one female character with a strong storyline and agency and whatnot (everyone points to maki as if she didn’t literally just become gege’s way of putting toji back in the story) they had potential but NONE of them were utilized in the way they could’ve been and to be honest the treatment of hana/angel was ABHORRENT i honestly really liked her and she could’ve been such a fascinating character but instead she was just. obsessed with a man who dgaf about her. like COME ON NOW i thought we were PAST this trope 😩 that said jjk isn’t horrible utter complete trash but everyone praises it as being so much different than other shounens but when you examine it closely it’s really not it just has a bit more angst than the typical shounen might.

STAN ORV FOR CLEAR SKIN!! as someone who read the novel and didn’t even look at the webcomic i think orv is a perfect example of how convoluted magic systems and large-scale battles CAN be explained properly and still remain awe-inspiring even without any visuals!! like the novel had me on the edge of my seat the entire time and there were absolutely zero two page spreads AND it had a shit translation like that’s skill fr!! also the female characters…the sheer THOUGHT put into the story (there are so many little details woven into it it’s insane)…the way different cultures are referenced and carefully researched so that they don’t feel like jokes (don’t even get me started on the jjk america arc idec about making fun of americans but what was the point even?? it was literally never brought up again) added in for no reason…absolutely enormous cast but they all get development and conclusions and feel like they were added for a reason??? super super fascinating dynamics between the main three characters (kim dokja, han sooyoung, yoo joonghyuk)?? MALE AND FEMALE FRIENDSHIPS??? MALE AND FEMALE CHARACTERS THAT LOVE EACH OTHER IN WAYS THAT AREN’T JUST ROMANTIC??????? this is what’s considered ACTUAL peak i think it’s so brain dead when jjk fans argue that jjk is so popular so it has to be better written than things like orv (the two fandoms have a lot of beef on tik tok for some reason) like come on now one is an anime and the other is a web novel obviously jjk is more popular…however i think a lot of jjk fans would actually quite like orv if they could bring themselves to sit down and read it!!

i agree i think in order to fit so many characters into the random categories you have to simplify them all so much and strip them of their complexities because otherwise you can’t cram as many characters as possible in there 😭 and yeah tumblr drama is so insane i wish people who put their energy into making callout posts would go work on their career or something…like let’s build our linkedin profiles!! let’s talk to people in real life!!

Puss in Boots: The Last Wish (2022)

Puss in Boots discovers that his passion for adventure has taken its toll when he learns that he has burnt through eight of his nine lives. Puss sets out on an epic journey to find the mythical Last Wish and restore his nine lives.

JayBell: I confess, I haven’t watched any of the other Puss in Boots movies. I’m a fake fan. But I heard so many good things about this movie, and I admit, I’m a sucker for like unique or just cool animation styles.

My favorite character of this movie by far is Perrito. He’s just so cute and sad and tragic. He’s a perfect counterpart to Puss in Boots and Kitty who can be so negative. I think the characters in the story are solid. Although John Mulaney as the villain really traumatized me. Whoever created his character design is a monster.

The wolf villain was cool. I like the way whistling and the heartbeat raised the tension of all of the encounters between Puss in Boots and the wolf. Although I do wish they gave him a bit more of a motivator. Like he is after Puss because he is too nonchalant with the lives that he was given? Or because he was given so many lives in general? It’s just strange that after all this time (8 lives) he decides he has had enough of Puss’s shit.

Lots of humor (love the Puss/Pickles bit), some action, great character arcs, unique animation style, lots of heart--what more could you ask for in a kids movie?

Rating: 6.5/10 cats 🐈

Anzie: I was really excited for this movie bc usually all the Dreamworks/shrek stuff has good humorous nonsense throughout. That being said I figured the 13th Puss in Boots movie would be a good time. And I liked it, but it was ummmm, kinda, absolutely unhinged. But, yeahhh, it was good.

I was sooo excited for John Mulaney to be voicing a character, only to totally dislike his character Jack Horner- but I just think hearing his voice behind an animation is too weird for me. Annnyways I hattttted Goldilocks and the the bears- like pllllsss murder me. Ohhh speaking of murder the whole Death thing with Puss and the Wolf- I get it he’s a cat- nine lives yada yada, but ummm it’s a bit stalkerish of the Wolf the whooole time to then just being completely anticlimactic at the end and kinda giving in???? And the the real scumbag of the movie still is Jack Horner??? IDK!?! ooo and Perito. He’s soooo cute and he’s sooo funny with his little bleeps and his big eyes. The sock story is just a bit too dark. This was supposed to be made for kids right?? Bc I’m on the verge of a crisis with Death chasing Puss in Boots and him having panic attacks and now this little dog is too innocent to know he got ditched in a real bad way?? I can’t. It’s too much. But whatever. What do I know. The end there’s a good message that you’ve got all you need and don’t need a magic shooting star to make your wishes come true blahblah blah. (I think it would be nice tho)

I really enjoyed the change in animation style when there was a fight scene or like a fast motion scene and so it kinda looked like a painting or comic-ish. (But the singing in the first scene takes it down a point-sooorrry.)

*Omigggawd I just wanted to know which # puss in boots this is and it’s the “6th” installment of a shrek franchise but only the 2nd puss in boots movie!! 😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱That doesn’t feel right but whatever. I’m gonna ignore the fact that the first and only movie was 11 years ago before I feel like throwing up.

I thought I hate jotakak before but after reading ur jotakak content I find out that I wasn't hating this ship, but hate how many jotakak fans mischaracterize them. Most of the jotakak content I saw is always a very strong and masculine jotaro protecting a very feminine kakyoin, which is very ooc for both of them. Jotaro is always reduced to a character who only punch people and show his love to kakyoin all the time,no emotion for anything unrelated to kakyoin, while in canon he is someone who kept himself in a prison and stay away from his loved ones(to the point of hurting his loved ones) to protect others. Kakyoin is also reduced to a damsel in distress, always need jotaro to save him and protect him, very sweet that he wouldn't even hurt a fly. Idk why many jotakak fans just want to fit them into a classic romantic relationship( a stoic handsome guy and a sweet housewife) when they are a lot more than that. Sorry for such a long post, I really appreciate how u characterize them :)

1. Steve and the goddddamn mjölnir!!!!! FINALLY!!!!!! when thor, iron man and cap were like 'aw yeahhh we're gonna fight thanos' i was like what the heckie is steve even doing there, supersoldier or not he's just a human. then thor drops his hammer and i’m like oh my gods please literally crossing my fingers. then thor’s fight is not going so well and oh no he definitely needs someone to save him! i’m like ohhhhhmygooddss. and THEN IT FINALLY HAPPENS I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS FOR YEARS HELL YEAHHHHH

2. steve & peggy dance. yes. just yes. fucking finally. i love it. it was perfect i cried

3. clint should’ve died. (finally haha) he was my fave since before the avengers and i was so sure he was going to die back then, but then he didn’t and look what’s became of him since.......... i had a violent flashback to watching age of ultron for the first time and for the first time just hoping that my fave character (that would be clint) would just die, bc they’re screwing his character over so badly........ and most definitely it. should.  not. have. been. natasha. who. died.  that was such a bullshit i mean WHAT THE FUCK????  i mean maybe clint and natasha were the only remaining avengers that actually loved each other (?¿¿????¿¿¿?¿ tho that’s just flimsy, i’m just trying to....idek) and that’s why it had to be them on that stupid fuckin death cliff, but why did natasha have to die?? just because clint had a family (still with no actual characterization, not that i even care, or maybe i would if the movies had given me any reason to...) to return to and she didn’t??that fucking sucks and what sucks even more is that not only was natasha the only character that died (i’m not even counting tony, bc that was very Different) but she’s the only original female avenger AND it’s the same stupd fucking rock that the only original female gotg gamora died in such a bullshit way just last movie??? goddddd i hated that so much like maybe if she hadn’t been the first one to die and all the original avengers would’ve died as was i kinda hoping (tho i love happy endings so i didn’t actually hope that it would happen..), maybe then i would be okay with her being dead. now i am very much not okay, and that means very much not okay in a angry way, not in a sad way

In conclusion: rap line slays again, with the greatest of ease, and Namjoon is clearly the MVP. 

I know it's not a competition but I find it pretty interesting that rap line came up with 3 very good mixtapes, which perfectly adhere to the rules; and vocal line (minus JK) just… did their own post-mixtape thing. By 'post-mixtape' I mean, we're not limited anymore by format and time, or access to material, thanks to digital formats and streaming libraries. Vocal line reflects that freedom, with all the good and bad that comes with it - whereas rap line shows what you can do, how you can be creative within the restriction of the form.

though i also hate how otter boxes’ silicone parts wear out in like 3 months so you end up constantly replacing them ? i used to have them bc my brother was doing this weird scam where he kept on taking photos of one older broken model to get new replacements and just had like 20 of them so i took one bc when i first got an iphone i was terrified of breaking it but like it’s just not that big of a deal for me personally so i ditched them yeeeears ago.
