If Doom 1 through 2 through 64 were faithfully remade in a 3 season, R-rated series (detailing the Doomguy’s three act journey through the Phobos and Deimos UAC facilities and Hell itself in S1, his mission to save the Earth from Hell in S2, and his eventual acceptance of a life of demonic bloodshed in S3), I’d love to see an hour long, surrealist episode recreating the story of House of Leaves (and MyHouse.WAD technically) where conquering trials against the Doomguy’s own sanity is the main mission alongside uncovering the story surrounding this House.

#yeah no this isn’t really a myhouse post #sorry I used Myhouse bait for a doom show concept #doom #Doomguy #myhouse.pk3 #myhouse.wad #house of leaves #I know people like Doomguy being the silent protagonist that you can project some of your personality into as you play the game #but that doesn’t really work in a medium where you can only watch the character in action and come to understand them #in that regard I’d love to see this gun-lusted uber-masculine psycho be tempered through bloodshed and surreal horror #Alan Ritchson or John Cena would both make an incredible Doomguy #actually just John Cena because I love his more silly bordering absurd roles #like S1’s first episode should lean all the way into the 90s action-star off-the-wall run-and-gun Arnold Schwarzenegger stuff #and then get progressively worse until the final episode ending with that ‘‘…fuck’’ kinda feeling #S3 Doomguy should keep the helmet on the whole time #man does NOT wanna talk about it #I also really REALLY love the suit Doomguy has in that Doom comic so I’d base the general suit design on that #it’s partially similar to John Cena’s Peacemaker getup too which is bonus points for JC
