On the one hand, seeing a landlord go to jail for refusing to turn on a tenant's utilities (aka actually face consequences) is rather satisfying. On the other hand, beyond my general problems with the carceral state, all of the money the state is using to punish this person could be spent, ya'know, actually restoring the tenant's utilities.

Tbh I don't think "Hal as Kyle's dad" gets pushed in enough weird directions. Parallax broke into Kyle's house and beat him to pulp and condescendingly told Kyle he's good but not good enough to beat him, and Kyle immediately discovered his daddy kink

can't think about ace attorney but fewer people die aus anymore. too many consequences. if my second favorite non-present victim lived, the structure of the prosecutor's office through the entire series needs to be rewritten. literally the whole legal system has the likelihood to change if this one dude didn't get killed. talking about supposed-to-be chief prosecutor neil marshall, baby! yee fucking haw! that job was his the second it opened if gant didn't kill his ass and he knew it. best prosecutor in the office. his morals? garbage for thriving in that win streak-crazed environment and sparkling for saving ema. no other information beyond that. he could fix the la legal system or he could make it worse. who knows. he's some guy and he's a cowboy and he's the only prosecutor who's ever worked a case better than von karma and his death has such intensely lasting effects for such a nobody. neil marshall i miss you
