BAMFs of 2019
Here's last year’s CHAMP -
THANOS
(Thanos: ”WTF did you just say?” #Mood)
Let's see if he made it back.
But, first, let’s take a look at some honorable mentions, as well as some people who were trying too hard:
Rey -
Of course she is a total BAMF. So, why isn't she on this list? 3 REASONS: 1) She looks like a racist ex that I once dated. How can someone who decided to date you (a black man) be racist? Did y'all see the movie "Get Out"? You didn't know that the story was based off one of my relationships did you? So, yeah, she ain't ever gettin on this list.
2) The force is cheating - their I said it.
3) This last movie sucked. This rap she did didn't help her cause.
ALSO - there’s this - her rapping. I repeat, she ain’t ever getting on this list.
Nic Cage - cuz he's Nic bleepin Cage
Cardi B - cuz she’s Cardi bleepin B
Hooded Justice - if only he had been in more episodes. A black man disguising himself in a hood, as well as white, to fight evil in his neighborhood, that the police force (of which he is a part of) refuses to stop. Hell yeah! I love "Watchmen".
Lupita! - her brilliantly scary performance in "Us" is def BAMF material.
The Rock - honestly, The Rock is so awesome, and has been for so long, that he needs to be extra awesome to make it.
Trying too Hard. Please STOP:
Batwoman -
I like Ruby, but she's like an elf. She's an elf model. It's not bad to be an elf model, but... If a villain in Gotham, let's say "Bane"
has me cornered, and Batwoman shows up to "rescue me", Imma start praying. He'd swing her around by that red hair of hers until her head pops off.
Rambo - He’s like 80! C’mon, Sly. Please STOP.
Dark Phoenix - a movie about her temper tantrum
Joker -
- not with all of that awkward dancing he was doing
NOW, finally, the top Bad Ass Muthas of 2019!
12) Greta -
Say what you will about climate change, but you can't deny her passion and dedication, and how inspiring it is (unless you're Prez Trump or Fox News) to see and hear a kid like her do her thing. I admit that her winning the honor of "Person of the Year" is too much. But, we all wish our kids would be this dedicated to what they believe is positive change. Plus, she has a kickass soundtrack. Gets me hyped every time!
11) Dave Chappelle
Back in the day, comedians used to be brought on stage, tasked with the difficult job of making a room full of different types of people laugh. Now, it's not just about the job of jokes, but you have to do so without offending anyone, and with clean living. When did we start holding a comedian's behavior to a higher standard than we do elected officials? Dave saw this, and kept doing what made him popular anyway. In a world where most comedians are running scared from difficult topics, Dave plunges right in. BAD ASS.
10) Linda Hamilton -
Old as bleep! We have what's-her-face here,
who is kinda badass herself, but despite being a badass cyborg (or whatever the hell she is), she still felt the need to ask for help from Linda bleepin Hamilton. LH traded her Hospice bingo card in for some guns and went to town on some machines! It'd be like if your home was being surrounded by aliens, and despite you having some fire power in your home and 911 at your disposal, everyone's first thought is to call grandma. That'd have to be one BAMF of a granny!
9) Masvidal -
Allow me to describe this brotha to y'all who might not know.
Some guy was talkin smack to Masvidal, and that guy got kneed in the face by Masvidal (fastest knock out in UFC history = 5 secs). Some guy was arrogant enough to say he was the baddest mofo around, and Masvidal scheduled a fight with this dude for a literal baddest mofo around belt. Plus, that same night of the fight, when he was talking to the media after he had won, he started mocking Conor McGregor, talkin bout Conor don't want none of this. He was talking trash, publicly, about Conor, while people were feeding him pizza. BADASS!
If there is ever a fork in the road, and on one side you see The Rock, Jason Statham, and Will Smith chasing after you, and the other you have Masvidal sitting down, eating a slice of pizza, you had better take your chances with the three action heroes over this BAMF.
8) Nunes -
If you don't know who she is, I wouldn't be surprised. The UFC botched her marketing before and after she fought and beat (badly) Ronda Rousey - yeah, RONDA ROUSEY; remember her? Nunes pretty much ended her career.
The UFC was so certain that Ronda was going to win, and so shocked when she lost, that they missed an opp to get behind a fighter who is better than Ronda (though mad respect for Ronda), and is currently holding TWO belts (first woman to do so). ALSO, she's the first openly gay UFC champ in history. She's so sweet too! - well, unless you're locked in the octagon with her, then she turns into a werewolf.
7) MANDO
I don't know about you, but all of this talk of teamwork from comic book movies can be a bit tiresome. The Avengers, The Justice League, The X-Men. Everybody wants to form a band. What happened to solo acts? What happened to lone rangers? People may say "There's no I in TEAM." Yeah, that's the prob! What about I?! Sometimes, you're Justin Timberlake, and the rest of the group is simply holding you back. That's Mando. He's Disney's updated (non-racist, unless you’re talkin drones) Lone Ranger. He doesn't need teamwork (maybe a weekly cameo, and a baby tag-along, but that's it!). He has beaten up gangs of robots, burnt people up, taken people out Jason Voorhees style, cut people in half, blown people up, blown off heads, BUT because it's Disney, we haven't seen any of that good stuff. He'd be higher on this list if they gave my man an R-rating.
6) Capt Marvel -
Captain Marvel is definitely the most powerful person on this list. She is probably also the fiercest person on this list. In Endgame, when she saw her black daddy (Nick Fury) on the screen, talkin bout Thanos snapped him away, and then something snapped inside of her, and she said "I'm going to go kill that mofo." The Avengers accompanied her, but I don't think she would have needed their help. She didn't really need their help in the final showdown with Thanos. He threw her aside, but you know she was coming back, until Tony got in her way. She is so fiery that it wouldn't surprise me if in her sequel, she goes back in time in order to rematch Thanos by herself, to prove her dominance. The reason that she's not higher on the list is because she's so damned destructive. She's just like The Hulk in the fact that she shows up to destroy everything. Now, she's a lot more focused than The Hulk, but she's so powerful that she does more damage. And she doesn't have much of a personality (so far), so it's hard to gauge her badassery of attitude, you know?? Like, if you're a villain, and you get in the way of a gorilla, that gorilla will destroy you in a very spectacularly badass way, but... it's a gorilla, you know??
I’M NOT CALLING HER A GORILLA. Don’t go snitching on me to her.
I just don’t know if she’s a hero or simply has anger management issues. Is she badass or too powerful not to do badass things?
Either way, RESPECT... or she'll come for that ass.
TIME FOR A BREAK -
Let’s break from all of this badassery with some cuteness
Look how cute it is - I CAN’T TAKE IT!
Ok, back to action.
5) Iron Man -
Look, Iron-Man started this shit! Who knows what would have become of the MCU had Robert Downey Jr. blew it. Tony Stark assembled the team (granted, he was partly the reason for the break-up), he gave us Spider-Man (with that suit) (he also gave us Ultron, but let's not get bogged down with details), he held his own against Thanos in "Infinity War",
Dr. Strange thought HIM worthy of saving, and no way time travel would have worked in "Endgame" without him. Plus, in the very end, he out-smarted Thanos, and countered Thanos' one-liner ("I am inevitable.") with his own ("And I... [five minutes later - I swear that's what it felt like] am Iron-Man.").
Paid the ultimate sacrifice. Hell yeah, he's on this list. I felt kinda bad for his wife. After IM3, she was barely around. And when Tony died, she was barely comforted... cuz nobody knew her. Oh, well.. she be aiight.
4) Thanos -
This dude saw his demise coming, and still went straight ahead towards the foes who cut his head off. BADASS! He was exceptionally crafty in playing The Avengers and blowing up their base. Then, he was just sitting around waiting for the main Avengers (Capt, Iron, and Fat Thor). He wanted to gloat a bit first. BADASS! And had Gamora not betrayed him, and had given him the gaunlet, he would have beaten The Avengers AGAIN!
He even died with a cool pose (he took a knee and got his "Thinking Man" on). BADASS!
3) Arya Stark -
This young lady scared the bleep out of me. She has my fear AND respect. I was actually scared for whomever her current target was... I was like "Run, fool! She gonna get ya! Damn, Arya, you didn't have to do them like that!"
Now, I know I talked about Ruby Rose being a ridiculous choice for Batwoman, but if Arya Stark left on a voyage to Gotham and became Batwoman, I'd buy that. I can see her killing Bane very slowly. This woman is a frickin psychopath, and I love it. She's fearless! She also went up against the top cheese of the white walkers. Y'all remember that badass move she had at the end!
YES! I only wish she had said something cool when she took him out, like... "You've been Starked." No, that's terrible, but something like that. I wish she was the one sitting on the throne, but they... you know... did what they did.
2) Capt America -
I think that it's fair to say that Capt America was the rock of The Avengers After the snap, he was the only one to keep his shit together; he actually worked to help others keep their shit together.
Meanwhile, Widow is crying in the dark every night while having a PB sandwich and bourbon dinner. And she just gave up on her hair.
Thor became an alcoholic.
And you could say Hulk was ok, but... was he?
I mean, that ain't right. This is avoidance behavior if I've ever seen it.
But, Capt kept it together. Then, that fight with Thanos at the end was one of, if not THE best one on one fight of the series. Using both Thor weapons, meaning he was both badass on a fighting level and a righteousness level - which ain't easy to accomplish. And when he straped tight his shield in that trailer, and gritted his teeth - hell yeah!
Chills. Capt to Thanos: You motha bleeper"
1) John Wick -
Three movies with no time in-between to shower, sleep, take a piss, brush his teeth, NOTHING! His life for the last few years (it seems like) has been running, lurking, hiding, beating ass.. and beating ass some more. Lord knows what this dude's kill count is up to. His nickname is "Baba Yaga" Have y'all seen what the actual Baba Yaga looks like?
Terrifying. And yet, not as terrifying as John Wick when he's angry at you.
The amount of endurance and focus that has gone into this long stint of murdering (only fueled by rage and a few shots of bourbon from time to time) is uncanny.
In JW3 he makes a guy eat a book (imagine what must be done to a person's jaw for that to happen), he gets shot, stabbed, hit my two cars (seconds within each other)... Nah, y'all ain't hear me! TWO CARS! The people in the cars were trying to kill him! He fought two super ninjas - like IP Man caliber, he beat up an army of soldiers, crawled through a desert, got shot by a friend who betrayed him, fell off of a building (bouncing around a few times before hitting the pavement), and was somehow still good to schedule a fourth movie after all of that - which I assume will pickup right there.
He doesn't have any superpowers (though you wouldn't know), but his tenacity is to be envied, and outdoes everyone else's on this list.
BAMF!!!

high for this
it’s been less than a year this time, less than two weeks actually and it’s a success im sure we all can agree lmao
have fun
Luna Valente doesn’t expect much fun when she gets accepted to the University of Oxford, but it’s the only way to stay away from her controlling aunt. She doesn’t expect also Matteo Balsano, who is the most helpful out of everyone there. Is he really as perfect as it seems though?
previous chapters here
🌙
2/ you there when I'm high, you're gone when I'm low
“So, how was the date with Balsano?” Ambar asks almost carelessly, but Luna knows already that it’s just a tone the blonde uses always, when she is pretending to not be curious. Valente sighs slightly and shrugs. “There was no date, plus it wouldn’t be a date if he showed up.”
Smith scrunches up her nose. “What do you mean?” Her shoulder hits some guy’s arm and she just keeps walking, making Luna wonder if she ever at least tries to be nice.
“I mean that he was supposed to come over, but he texted me that he had last minute student council meeting. You know that, you were there after all, right?”
Ambar looks at her weirdly, as if confused, but it’s just for a mere second and this expression disappears, leaving its blace for blank, bored stare. “Yeah, yeah, sure. It was super bad. You know, schedule changes and such.”
Luna nods slowly, smiling a little in her direction and Ambar makes awkward face. “I gotta go. I will see you somewhere later though, good luck on class and well whatever.”
With this she disappears in the middle of the hallway and Luna just looks after her as she is walking quickly, somehow too quickly for Ambar to be casual, but it’s not like the brunette can do anything right now. She just turns away checking the texts from the girls who are probably already waiting for her.
The hallways are filled with students, most of them is older than her and she is kinda awkward, not sure what to do. Some are looking at her, yet definitely more is ignoring her passing by and that’s amazing thing, because now she doesn’t need to try to run towards the exit or something.
At least the day is pretty, the sun blinds Luna as soon as she leaves the building and she needs to quickly search for her sunglasses. They aren’t in her backpack, which isn’t really surprising. After all recently it has been only sad and grey and sometimes even rainy, so there was no need for such thing like sunglasses. She sighs with disappointment and looks around for her friends, letting out small, heavy sigh seeing that Jim and Yam adopted Nina as well today.
Luna just approaches them without saying anything and sits on the grass next to the blonde, as quiet as possible. Nina seems to be super focused on the big, fat book that is lying in front of her on the grass and Jim is eating her fruits from breakfast box using a fork. Luna rolls her eyes seeing this and just pulls out bio book and her earphones, because the next class there can be some surprise like quiz or test, no one ever knows really.
Sadly, as soon as she turns on some random Abba song, someone hits her on the shoulder and says her name loudly. Luna growls, putting her phone in between the bio book pages and turns to Yam, who looks at her expecting.
“What?” she asks and it might be rude, but that’s how they talk to each other mostly, which is mostly funny.
“I was asking you. Where is your prince charming?” The blonde shrugs as if it was the most obvious thing in the world and Luna wonders if it’s their only topic to talk about. Matteo this, Matteo that, just like they weren’t in fancy uni with many, many older boys to talk about, or some hot profs, no, they are just stuck gossipping about one boy, who has been such a hot and cold pain in the ass, that Luna before her period needs to stay away from him.
“I don’t know. He seems to have some other stuff to do.”
Yam shrugs scrunching her nose and steals an apple slice from Jim’s box.
“He is probs busy with Gastón.” Nina says as she turns the page of this really ugly book, and just focuses on the text again. Jim and Yam jump to her, the ginger actually falls to Simonetti’s back and they start giggling loudly with the rest.
Luna sighs fixing the laces to her converse as she takes them around her ankle playfully and ties normally, it makes her feel less fancy than everything else plus it’s not like she is trying to be actually fancy. She also isn’t an aesthetic university girl like Nina for example.
“Luna, maybe you know what happened?”
The Mexican growls, falling to the grass and covers her face with bio book, which smells like dust by the way. “What would I know? Sorry, but I don’t talk to Matteo about his friendship issues.”
She knows it wasn’t the best thing to answer, especially seeing how even Nina raises her eyebrows. Jim and Yam jump surprised and just steal Luna’s precious book, hovering over her so their hairs tickle Luna’s nose. “Then what are you two talking about?” With this the ginger turns to her chihuahua bestie and winks. “Maybe they aren’t talking at all, though?”
They burst out with laughter and Valente just blinks at them surprised, not knowing what to do with this thing. This whole situation is completely ridiculous, because the girls don’t shut up, but also she has no idea what the hell is Matteo pulling on her, disappearing right before they were supposed to meet.
She doesn’t like it, she very doesn’t, she will tell him about how shitty he is acting, and that if he really will expect her to be normal next time, he will probably end up disappointed. Yet, at the same time it’s not like they are something else than just kinda friends, not even fully friends so Luna can’t think he will be always there and text her. Still, some other text than the short one he sent would be nice, and maybe sending another with other date of their meeting, but nah, why would he even try?
“You feel eh, don’t you?” Jim asks with small frown and Luna shrugs, not really saying anything.
“We are taking you to the lunch by the way, so get your small butt up and let us pay for your pizza.”
🌙
They are really paying for her food, and Luna can’t say no, and doesn’t wanna say no since it gives her the chance to pay for some of them next time, or even later. They somehow talk about dumb shit, trying to set her up with hot waiter who asks for their orders and this is definitely something finally normal. They haven’t done normal for a few long days, so she is really grateful for them to take her head away from bad ideas and bad thoughts and general annoyance that keeps bubbling in the back of her head whenever someone mentions Matteo Balsano.
Sadly, it’s not like she is interested in this pretty boy who gives them some discount, she keeps having the smile of one Italian on her mind, how he likes to wink at her and send her tiny smirk whenever he wins some playful conversation. How he just acts, making her like him for just existing and this is very dangerous ability.
Luna obviously takes part in the conversation surprisingly, despite almost twins gushing about some dance classes they found next to the campus, Nina interrupting them with some new drama informations about how girls from her literature class kept gossiping that Matteo and his best friend had a fight, or at least a drama recently.
She remembers how when on the airport Matteo was all smiling and laughing at the screen of his phone, saying that it was his best friend spamming him already. Now when she thinks of it, it’s all kinds of weird that he hasn’t mentioned this guy even once and that something must have happened. Yet, she doesn’t feel like she has any right to ask or mix herself in Matteo’s business.
It’s time to make them stop talking so loudly that other people are sending them annoyed looks, so Luna sighs and asks. “What are we doing tonight?”
They immediately shut up and stare at her very seriously. “We are going to have very much fun, Luna Valente. We are going to drink alcohol and dance, and sing very loudly, and you are going with us.” Yam says very casually with straight face and stable voice.
“But tomorrow we all have classes? Are you okay?”
Jim rolls her eyes and moves to Luna so close, she almost ends up on her lap. “We are okay, that’s just part of being a student not at home, so we will make you be less boring tonight.”
“I am not boring, I just don't feel like drinking my ass off in the uni night, that's all,” she says with a shrug and Jim and Yam share knowing look.
“That's exactly why you should go and chill, you deserve all chill, Luna and we don't want you to end up blackout, just to relax and dance. Don't you like dancing?”
Valente sighs with a pout and wonders why she is so bad at saying no.
🌙
“Could you please already stop touching my hair?” Luna asks when Nina pulls single strand while braiding this fancy thing on Luna's head.
“I'm sorry, it's just because there is so much of your hair around it just tangles around my fingers,” the Argentine girl explains and shrugs a little.
The brunette hums, trying to not wince every time she feels a pull on her head, and it’s not that hard, because Nina is trying to be softer now. “You aren’t going with us, are you?” she asks and Simonetti smiles. “Of course not. I have some writing to do still and I promised my dad I would skype with him tonight. But I hope you girls have fun.”
Luna looks at her in the mirror and blinks surprised a little, yet trying to hide it. “Won’t you tell me now that we all should study and focus on classes?”
“No, because you don’t like it. And you are adult, Luna, you decide about it yourself.”
“What? How do you know that I don’t like it?” she asks surprised, and now she feels all kinds of dumb, and rude, and mean person.
Nina shakes her head slightly with tiny smile. “Once I told Jim to study and she told me to stop telling people what to do, everyone is adult here, and I guess I was just sure that it’s help, not annoying. Anyway I hope you have fun.”
Luna smiles back, happy about this one step towards being better with everyone, and wants to say something, but Jim and Yam jump into the room laughing loudly and having something glittery in their hands. Valente gasps, fully knowing what this means.
“We got you a dress!” the blonde yells and Luna feels how her blood leaves her face, this fabric is definitely too much, probably too short, glitter isn’t that much of a problem, but the rest will most likely be. “Come on, go and try it, and then you will do some makeup, because I’ve seen some on your instagram account and you are good at this.” Jim smiles and pulls Luna up from the chair before pushing her in the bathroom along with the dress, and again, she should definitely read about being assertive.
🌙
Those colorful little shots are so pretty, the more she takes, the better they get, and at this point the glittery dress is biting her skin less and less. The music is loud, yes, but it’s the nice kind of music, Luna likes it and the only breaks are to drink a little more. She knows that this was her last one shot, sadly, still it’s okay; she can have fun without any more alcohol and then go back home and go to sleep, praying for no hangover in the very next day.
She doesn’t talk or dance to anyone except her two friends, they seem to be glad about that, but at the same time they keep pointing at some boys in the crowd. None of them seems to be a good one, but let’s be real, who would search for a boy to date in the club filled with alcohol and bass sounds that can be felt in bones.
Luna adores dancing to be honest, no matter if it’s dancing around her dorm while cleaning, or dancing like here in the club. She just loves it, loves to move and jump with the rhythm while her hair is softly bouncing around, tickling the skin of her back and shoulders and the fact that the more they dance, the more she can drink.
It’s almost an hour after midnight, and Luna doesn’t feel sleepy or tired one bit, which is very dangerous in her case, but classes are later in the day, so she will let herself sleep longer. Jim and Yam keep spinning around and making sure they all don’t leave each other and lose in between people. Luna sighs, because she felt some elbow in her ribs, or someone stomping on her toes, she guesses it’s time for a break so she yells to the girls it, trying to break through the newest remix of some famous song.
She gets to the small table breathing quickly, and leans against it with her elbows. Her phone buzzes, so she checks it after brushing her hair away from her face. It’s just some notification from insta, Simon sent her a text, but she can’t focus on it when there is orange-pink circle around Matteo’s profile pic waiting for Luna to tap it and watch. It takes much strength to ignore it and block the phone before throwing a look around. Too many people, weird people wearing all kinds of clothes in all possible colors, and then she spots this guy wearing all black by the bar, and Luna can swear she loses her breath.
He is smiling smug at this girl in green dress, even shorter than it should be allowed, but neither of them seems to care. This girl’s face Luna can’t see, she just notices how Matteo looks at her and even if it’s very bad look, she doesn’t focus on it, staring at the way this black shirt is staying on his shoulders, not too tightly, yet it seems like there is no extra fabric there. How first few buttons are undone, and how the sleeves are rolled up, not to mention those black pants, having Luna have all issues possible.
He takes the girl’s hair behind her ear wearing this small smirk before brushing her collarbone and arm with his fingers. Luna can almost feel the trembling of the girl with black hair that is very focused on Matteo Balsano, and having him all focused on her, and Luna has no idea, but she hates it. She hates that he is here acting completely normal, living normal as he always is, after he just threw her random text about sorry, not coming over, and then leaving her waiting again. Luna hates it, hates him and this girl, and the alcohol for making her feel this way, and she also hates herself. For wanting him to look at her.
Now she feels like she needs to drink more and regrets not doing it earlier. Though, who knows what would she have done with more alcohol in her blood. She stares at him most likely too long, at least long enough for him to catch her eyes for a second, and Luna can’t say what he will do now, because she turns away, looking at her phone screen intently and hoping that Cancun beach homescreen pic will teleport her there so she won’t have to handle this boy.
“Now I feel kinda sad here.” Luna hears by her ear, the voice obviously low and soft, and her drunk ear takes it eagerly and shivers climb up her spine. “Come on, sweet thing, talk to me.”
“And why would I?” She pouts raising her eyebrows at him, while he just smiles at her. “I’m sorry for not letting you know earlier about not coming to see you. And I’m sorry I haven’t texted you since then.”
This is all kinds of weird and Luna wonders what he wants this time. “Why are you apologizing? It’s not like you have to. We aren’t anything that would oblige you to explain yourself.”
Matteo hums, moving closer. “But I am not explaining myself. I’m just saying sorry because I haven’t done things that I should have, of course. And I’m here willing to make it up to you, if you want of course.”
“I mean, you don’t have to. You don’t owe me anything.” The brunette shrugs turning away.
“But I want to,” he murmurs and she can feel his breathing on her shoulder, she knows he is doing the exact same thing he was doing to the other girl minutes ago, yet this feels too good to pull away. This small feeling of excitement builds in her and she likes how it tickles her from inside.
Still, she decides to play with him a little. “Yes, but you were busy, Matteo.”
He chuckles and rests his hands on her waist, before turning her to him and leaning against the edge of the table. “I am not busy anymore. I am free for the rest of the night actually.”
Luna bites on her lower lip, taking all his attention to it. “From what I know, we are always free, that’s a human right, no?” She asks with a small giggle and Matteo shakes his head, leaning closer.
She wants him closer, but obviously she doesn’t get it, that’s how life hates her- once she wants to get something, once, and Jimena just hits the something from the side, which makes Matteo pull away and stand a little away from them.
“What are you doing, Luna? It was girls night, she says with accusing tone and her blonde bestie who follows her just points at Matteo. “I’m sure we should let Luna do what she was doing, or almost doing, before, Jim.”
Balsano snorts and Luna can feel herself giggling. “Yes, this was a girls night, did you hear it Matteo?”
The ginger looks at Luna’s companion she bumped seconds ago, and now she is shook, because there he is the boy she’s been gossipping about for long, long days, or that’s what Luna thinks is the reason of big eyes her friend makes at Matteo.
She spots Yam turning towards the bar, and then away from the bar so she can put the shot glasses on the table, and when Luna reaches for her immediately, because well her sanity definitely needs that, some hand takes it faster and in a second that’s it from her shot.
“It was mine? Who the hell do you think you are?” The brunette asks, completely surprised, because why the fuck would Balsano steal her shots.
“I think, that it’s time for us to go home,” he just states, ignoring her angry glare and loud questions. Luna huffs and crosses her arms. “I don’t wanna go home. Besides, I am not going to leave my friends here.”
The Italian nods. “Well, then we are going to walk them first, but then we go to your dorm so you get home safe and no one steals you on the way.”
Luna is very lost at this moment, she doesn’t get this boy one bit. First he is undressing some girl by the bar with his eyes, then he does the same with her, but using his voice and now he changed into group father who is gonna make sure everyone has no fun. Still, the look he is giving them now makes Luna just give up, she turns to the girls and sighs. “Are we going then? This one is gonna be super whiny I believe.”
“Okay I guess, but next weekend we are gonna stay looooonger.” The ginger pouts and Luna giggles. “Fine, can be.”
“No, you must promise, Luna Valente.” She takes up her pinky and the brunette just takes it with hers, nodding few times until her friend is happy. Her eyes walk towards Matteo who just sends her a wink and she wonders why would he try to send her home already. Or more like walk her home. And why would she agree.
🌙
It’s cold when they are walking towards Luna’s place, cold enough for her to start shivering and cold enough for her to accept Matteo’s arm around her shoulders, because he is warm and she would take everything that is warm. The girls are already in their room, since they live together, and Luna can walk calmly knowing that they are safe, most likely sleeping, and if not they always have the other to hold their hair in case of throwing up.
Matteo isn’t talking much, she isn’t either and it’s okay. Her heels are hitting the hard bricks of the sidewalk and except their breathing this is the only sound Luna can hear, which is nice. She feels that when he isn’t talking she is the least exposed to any harm from his side, he is just comfy and warm, and smells so nice, not with alcohol and when they will get to her place, Luna is sure he will let her go and won’t try to get in touch for next few days.
She sighs heavily and yawns, hearing his tiny chuckle and she guesses she can break the silence for a moment. “What’s so funny?” she just asks and he looks at her before sending her a smile. “Few moments ago you were all about staying in that club longer, and now you are like sleepy, little kitten.”
Luna huffs, it’s not that being compared to a kitten is a bad thing, but he is clearly making fun of her and her drunk self doesn’t like it. Actually she feels drunk only in the moments when she looks at his face.
“I’m sleepy because you are boring, Matteo.”
He raises his eyebrows at her and she giggles shaking her head. Italian gasps at this and pokes her on the ribs so she jumps a little. “I am not boring, it’s not my fault that you decided to have crazy night after waking up in the morning probably around eight am.”
Luna bites on her lower lip thinking, trying to remind herself when she did wake up, but since she can’t at this moment, she just ignores his comment.
There is again, a little quiet minute until it’s his turn to ruin it. “Why didn’t you take a jacket?”
“Why didn’t you?” Luna answers with a question and he sighs done. “Because I am not cold. Now you tell me.”
She pouts moving a little closer to him, hoping that he won’t mention it. “I forgot to take it.”
“Well, so we better hurry up.”
The brunette nods agreeing; she wants to be home as soon as possible, take off this uncomfy shoes and dress, spend few years under the shower and sleep for the rest of the night. To speed up the walking she tries to play with the one stone by kicking it away and when she walks to it again, she just kicks it again. Once it goes to the left, more towards Matteo’s feet which makes Luna pout, yet he surprises her by kicking it so she can continue.
He pretends that it didn’t happen and the brunette pretends she doesn’t see the look he is sending her.
🌙
“It’s a nice building,” he murmurs when they get to the door of her dorm. Luna looks around the hallway and she can’t really see anything nice here, it’s just normal, but she guesses Matteo was trying to make the conversation with the least awkward start.
“Well, you could have seen it earlier.” Luna shrugs and he smiles leaning his back against the entrance door so she can’t really get in or even try to put the key in the lock. “Let me in, Matteo.”
“Why were you so annoyed at me today?” he asks instead and she frowns. “And why do you care?”
Matteo crosses his arms and she does the same, which probably looks ridiculously funny. “Because I don’t want you to be angry at me, sweet thing.”
“How would I be angry with you, if you don’t even talk to me?” The brunette hums and Balsano nods slightly, thinking probably about something important or not important. She has no idea exactly, but this scrunched nose of his is kinda cute and she likes it, his lashes are throwing some shade at his cheeks, definitely unfair that his lashes are so long. She stares at him just like he stares at her and it’s the weirdest moment between them ever.
“I’m sorry,” he says and she blinks surprised. “I will be talking to you now.”
“You know that it sounds super weird? Plus you don’t have to, Matteo. I get it, I just don’t want you to tell you would do something and then text me last minute, that sorry, but you can’t be there and then ignore me for few days. It’s fine, just stop.”
Matteo looks at her carefully. “Stop what?”
“Stop trying to be nice. Because it’s not really working for either of us.”
He smiles a little, which is ridiculous for Luna, so she doesn’t manage to react quickly enough when he reaches for her hand and pulls her close to his chest. She blinks surprised, looking into his eyes, he brushes her hair behind her ear softly and sighs. “Will you let me try once again? Let me and it will be fine, I’m sure of it.”
The brunette opens her mouth to say something, but he stops her. “Don’t tell me now, I’m sure your drunk self needs more time to make decisions, not to mention drunk choices are always bad for us. Let me know later, though. I will be waiting.”
She sighs with a tiny nod, barely moving and Matteo kisses her forehead before leaving. She can only watch him heading towards the elevator without turning away as she has two things on her mind. First, did he mean himself or her when he talked about deciding about stuff while drunk. Second, he never promised her anything and this she should remember.
Luna shakes her head and gets into her dorm, fully knowing that today to sleep she will listen to the song he sent her in the plane on repeat.

A/N : Been working on this for the last few days. A bit of a long one. Hope you enjoy :) <3 xx kay
[Y/N] knocked twice on the Parker’s door, backing up against the adjacent wall, she waited to be let in. [Y/N] knew that she was extremely early but also knew that Peter wouldn’t mind. Knowing them, it was probably a good thing that she had arrived a few hours earlier than they had originally planned because this science project was not going to get started until really late tonight if not at all. She could just tell. In all honesty, the two of them shouldn’t ever be allowed to be partners for anything school related. It always ended the same. The two would lounge around on his bed or in her basement, listening to music, exchanging their unrealistic life goals, eating enough Chinese takeout and pizza to end world hunger. And hours before the project was due, the two would scramble, stay up all night, trying to glue and cut their way into some bullshit work that always ended up in a B-.
The door opened, revealing Aunt May smiling bright. “Hey, kiddo.” She moved aside, allowing the teenage girl she’s known for years into the apartment. Aunt May adored [Y/N] and there was a big part of her that hoped that Peter would see what kind of girl he had right in front of his eyes. Anytime she tried to mention the topic of whether or not Peter liked [Y/N] more than just a friend, he’d freak out and change the subject, forcing May to drop it altogether until next time.
“Hey, Aunt May.” [Y/N] said casually. She had been calling May, Aunt, for years now even though she wasn’t actually her aunt. It had began as an accident when Peter was helplessly trying to get her attention at a football game back in middle school. [Y/N] had climbed halfway up the fence and shouted Aunt May so loud that the entire game paused. And ever since then, it kind of stuck.
Closing the door behind them, she moseyed on back to the kitchen where she was finishing up the dishes. “Planning on staying for dinner?” May asked, flickering a look towards the [hair color]. She had been prepping a slow cooker meal all morning.
Grinning, she took a seat at the breakfast table, “Depends on what you made.”
Chuckling, May shook her head and whipped a half wet towel in [Y/N]’s direction. “Have you ever turned down my cooking?” She placed a hand on her chest as if she was insulted and betrayed. “Have I ever cooked you a meal that was unsatisfactory.”
Squealing loudly when the towel was inches from her shoulder, she laughed out. “You know I’ll always stay for dinner, Aunt May.” Resting her chin on her hand that lay flat on the table, she sighed. “Especially now more than ever.”
May frowned, “Still that bad?”
Groaning, she ran both hands through her hair. “Yes. I just wish they’d just agree on everything and get divorced already.” Her fingers toyed with the mess of pens that were no doubt from Peter’s backpack. “It’s frustrating and then when they do sit down and divvy things up, they fight over who’s going to take me.”
May kept her frown on her face. She hated that [Y/N] was in this kind of battle. Turning around, she popped open a container that had all sorts of baked treats inside. Sliding them over, she leaned against the counter. “Who would you choose?”
“Neither.” [Y/N] said as she bit into an oatmeal raisin cookie. Groaning with her mouth full, she looked at May and half smiled. “How about I just move in with you and Peter.”
May chuckled, “You know that door,” pointing towards the front door, “is always open to you, kiddo. Always.” Putting the lid back on the container, she firmly stated. “Always.”
[Y/N] was about to respond with gratitude but was interrupted by Peter stumbling out of his bedroom. He wore a stupid, tired grin on his face while his hair looked like it had been through hell and back in his sleep
“Morning, sunshine.” [Y/N] spoke with humor in her words. Glancing down at her watch, she snickered. “It’s only half past noon.”
Peter stretched, wincing slowly. “Had a long night.” Blinking rapidly, he tried to awaken himself. Yawning, he padded his way towards the fridge, pulling out the orange juice and graciously taking the cup Aunt May had handed him. “You’re here super early. I thought you were going to come around five?”
“Parental probs.” She mumbled.
Peter pulled the drink from his lips, reading her signs and nodded. Gulping down the rest of his Vitamin C, he set it down in the sink. “Let me change real quick and we can go down to Cee Cee’s Cafe and get a cinnamon roll. I’m starving and that’s all I’ve been craving.”
[Y/N] could always count on Peter to get her mind off of things. One of the big reasons why she absolutely loved him. There was never a dull moment between the two and it was because of that reason that she forced herself to keep her true feelings dormant for fear of ruining the amazing connection the two of them have. Watching him scamper off into his bedroom, she flickered a look towards May. “What did I ever do to deserve Peter?”
May smirked, “I don’t know but keep doing whatever you’re doing.” Walking past her, she planted a kiss on the side of her head. “You’re family, my family. I’d hate to lose you.”
“Yeah! You could totally live with Aunt May and I.” Peter exclaimed as he shoved a forkful of cinnamon goodness into his mouth.
Rolling her eyes, she smiled. “It was just a joke, Parker.” She stabbed her fork into her own cinnamon roll, too upset to actually eat it. It was getting hard living at her home. She’d stay up most nights listening to her parents yell and scream. And then return home after school to hear it all over again. It was exhausting and her only outlet was to be around Peter and Aunt May.
Peter wiped his mouth with the back of his sleeve. His eyes scanning over her face, it was rare to ever find [Y/N] this upset. She was the literal sun that brought light into his life. He loved [Y/N] for everything she was and it made him just as upset to see her normal exuberance was dimmed by things that shouldn’t deal with her. “Stay the night, tonight.”
“What?”
“Yeah,” Peter shrugged, “It’ll be just like back in the day. We’ll build a fort of blanket and pillows in my bed and watch movies all night.
[Y/N]’s brow arched, “Peter we had those kind of sleepovers when were like five.” She shook her head in slight disbelief, “I don’t think Aunt May would appreciate us sleeping in the same bed.”
Picking on his treat, he looked at [Y/N] with a straight face. “It’s no different than falling asleep together on the couch.” He recalled multiple events where the two of them had fallen asleep leaning against one another during the many movie marathons that would play.
“It is.” She countered. “Because the couch is in the living room, a room that is open. A bed is normally in a bedroom, a room that is normally not open.”
Peter scoffed, “You really think Aunt May would care? It’s not like we’d be doing anything but watch movies and stuff our faces with popcorn.” He picked up a chunk of the roll and dropped it in his mouth before he realized the alternatives that could happen if a boy and a girl were left alone in a room. “Right?” He asked with a tone that seemed uneasy.
[Y/N] freaked out, “Oh, yeah, no, yeah, just...watching movies and eating popcorn. Definitely nothing else.” She could feel her cheeks turning red at the thought of kissing Peter. Stop. No. [Y/N] should not be thinking about her best friend like that. Pulling her eyes from his panicked expression, she focused her gaze on twirling her fork. “It’s fine, Peter. I’ll just throw in some headphones and fall asleep to Netflix or something.”
Peter frowned, for once he had no idea what to say to her. The two of them had known each other since grade school. Becoming friends when a bully was making fun of her braided pigtails and little Peter decided to stick up for her. The two had been inseparable ever since, minus the time during eighth grade when she somehow blossomed into this incredibly gorgeous thing and everyone suddenly wanted to be her friend. Peter had fallen on the back burner while [Y/N] tried to juggle this newfound popularity. And even though it felt like Peter was never going to get his friend back, she surprised him and ditched them all to show up on his birthday with tickets to go see the Star Wars marathon at their local theater. From then on, [Y/N] declared that none of the friends she had made were ever going to be as important as him.
She had been there for him through everything. [Y/N] was thoughtful in every way of his life. She always gave him space on the anniversary of his parents death but always being there at the same. And then when Uncle Ben died? She was just as heartbroken as the rest of them. [Y/N] had made a promise to Peter that no matter the circumstances, she’d never leave him because they’d grow old together and be in each other’s lives forever. Over the years and Aunt May’s persistence in wondering how Peter truly felt about [Y/N], he would love to admit his feelings to his best friend and believe it or not, he was finally going to bite the bullet and express everything he loved about her. Actually willing to let himself look like a complete and total idiot but that was before the whole spider thing happened. The one and only secret he kept from [Y/N], aside from his feelings.
After what he experienced with Tony and Captain America and saw the actual risk of his life, he couldn’t tell [Y/N] how he felt. Because what if she did feel the same? Although, Peter would swear she didn’t because she was a pretty easy person to read. But what if she did and he got hurt or even worse, killed. He couldn’t bring that kind of pain to [Y/N] no matter how much he liked her. It wouldn’t be fair. And the only answer would be to suppress his feelings and cherish her as a friend.
“Please?”
[Y/N]’s head snapped up at the vulnerability in his voice. “Why?” She asked, “I’ll be fine.”
“No, no, you won’t.” Peter firmly responded. He pushed his empty plate away from him. “We’ll go to the Ed’s Movies and rent a whole bunch of shitty movies and watch them all day. Aunt May’s not going to care, I promise.”
“We have a science project we need to start.” She simply said, ignoring his offer. [Y/N] would love to spend all night watching horrible movies with Peter but she couldn’t juggle her feelings being that close to him all night and then eventually falling asleep in his bed with him.
Waving his hand, he grinned. “Do we ever start it on time?” He stood up, throwing down some money on the table. “Come on, I’m not taking no for an answer.” He towered over her, holding out his hand for her to take. It wasn’t uncommon for Peter and [Y/N] to hold hands because it was only for a minute before they’d stop but this time it felt different holding his hand. Like he was actually holding hands for the intended purpose to feel close to someone rather than guiding them in and out of the busy New York streets.
“So, you two are having a sleepover?” Aunt May questioned, her brow quirked as she watched her nephew organize the immense stack of films he had surrounding him. Leaning against the door frame, she crossed her arms against her chest. “Like when you guys were five?”
“What is it with you two? Yes. A sleepover.” Peter looked up from his mess. “[Y/N]’s upset and when she’s upset, it makes me upset. I hate seeing her all sad because she’s never sad and when she’s sad, it makes me feel like I have to cheer her up. And that’s what I’m doing.” He fanned out his arms towards the movies. They ranged from outrageously awful to moderately enjoyable.
Aunt May chuckled, moving from the door frame and into his room. She crouched down and picked up a movie she hadn’t seen in ages. Raising a brow, she bit her lip. “You do realize this is an awful movie, right?”
Nodding feverishly, Peter grinned. “Yup. We’re going to watch horrible movies and point out everything that makes it a bad film.”
“And that’s fun for you two?” She questioned with a not so amused look herself.
“Do you know anything about us?” Peter asked with a tone that signaled he was insulted. “Of course this is fun.” Shuffling the movies back into a stack, he shrugged. “It’ll keep her mind off of her parents. And I think her staying the night here will actually let her sleep.”
“She’s not sleeping?”
“No.” Peter said softly. “I can tell.” Looking up at his Aunt May, he frowned. “She’s scary good at makeup-I should know, because I sort of let her, you know what, that doesn’t matter. But, she’s good at covering the dark circles under her eyes.” Pressing his hand to his head, he chewed on his lip. “[Y/N] basically runs on caffeine. She’s got a whole case of Red-bull and Monsters sitting in her locker. She thinks I don’t know about it but I’ve seen them.”
Aunt May nodded, picking herself up from the ground, she clapped her hands. “Well, that trumps over what I was originally going to tell you.”
“Wait, what?”
Aunt May winced, “I was kind of coming in here to just warn you what happens when a girl and a boy are alone together in a room.”
It took a minute for Peter to get what his aunt was insinuating. His face twisted into horror, “Oh! Oh, god, no, no. Are you, were about to give me the sex talk?! [Y/N] and I are just friends. Strictly friends. Nothing more. Just a girl and a guy that are friends. Nothing will be happening.”
“I’m just saying, Peter. I don’t mind that [Y/N] stays the night...in your bed but please let’s keep hands to ourselves.”
“Aunt May!” Peter cried out in embarrassment. As if he hadn’t already tried to push the idea of the possibility of what could happen if Peter were to admit his feelings. “I don’t even think [Y/N] is interested and that would be extremely awkward if I were to and she didn’t feel the same way.”
“Aha!” Aunt May shrieked happily, pointing a finger, she clapped again. “You do like her!”
Peter’s face turned all different shades of pink and red. “Wha-what, n-no. I ne-never said that! No. I, no.”
“It’s okay,” Aunt May turned her head to hear the front door opening, whispering, she smirked. “your secret is safe with me.” Winking, she went to turn to greet [Y/N] but not before mouthing the words, hands to yourself!
“Hey Aunt May.” [Y/N] cheerfully. She was actually looking forward to staying the night with Peter. It was definitely going to do its job in making her forget her home life for the time being. Walking past May and noticing her awfully smug grin, she walked into Peter’s room and closed the door. “What’s with her and-why is your face so red?!” [Y/N] dropped her bag of clothes and various snacks she had picked up at the Bodega across the street. “Are you feeling okay?” Her hands rushed to his face, inspecting him and feeling his forehead.
Pawing her hands away, Peter mumbled. “No, I’m fine. I’m just, Aunt May embarrassed me.”
Pulling away, she inquired, “How?”
Grabbing the first movie off the stack, he popped it into the DVD player. “Nothing, it was just something about when I was younger or something. I forgot now.” Standing up straight, he threw off his hoodie leaving him in just a tshirt and checkered pajama bottoms. “Change into your sleeping clothes and let’s get this awful movie night started.”
Nodding, [Y/N] grabbed her backpack and headed off into the corner and instructed him to turn around. She laughed as he rolled his eyes and dramatically turned around. Peter muttered under his breath about it being nothing different than seeing her in a bathing suit but who was he kidding? If he saw [Y/N] in just her bra and underwear, it would probably activate his hormones and make him incredibly horny like the rest of the guys he went to school with. [Y/N] was a babe, no one in his school could deny it. She wasn’t a terribly looking girl when they were younger but man, once eighth grade happened, it was like she had been dipped in the holy water of beauty. [Y/N] truly kept her word and dropped a lot of people that suddenly took an interest in her, only keeping the few that seemed actually genuine in their friendship.
He sat on his computer chair and started to mess with the computer he was building, he had almost gotten it turned on when he noticed that the reflection of his monitor allowed him complete, unblocked visual of [Y/N] unbuttoning her flannel.
He swallowed hard as he tried to tear his eyes from the screen but it ended up to no avail as he watched her stand completely topless with the exception of her polka dotted bra on in his room. It wasn’t until she threw on an old shirt that could have easily been his was he able to look away.
[Y/N] stuffed her jeans and flannel into her bag and bounced over towards Peter. She hugged him from behind, her arms wrapping comfortably around his neck. “Thanks for the sleepover, Parker. Your the best.” Pressing an innocent kiss on his cheek, she dragged him out of the computer chair and onto his bed that he had already made up with tons of blankets and pillows.
Peter mumbled his welcome and crawled into his bed. It was a little awkward getting situated, he hadn’t quite thought out how the two of them would be laying but it eventually ended up in her snuggled up against his side. She had placed a pillow over his chest and rested her head against it, leaving him enough visual to watch the movie. Peter hesitated on putting his arm on her back, was that okay? Or was it crossing the line? It wasn’t until [Y/N] noticed his stiff upper body that she assured him that he could drape his arm over her if it was more comfortable.
It had seemed like a successful night, [Y/N] seemed much happier from this morning. She was smiling, radiating her normal sunshine and laughing at his lame jokes that he always kept for days like these when she needed to laugh the most. The two of them had gotten through six movies, five bags of popcorn, two plates each of Aunt May’s dinner, three whole boxes of Reese Pieces, eleven danish treats, and five two liter bottles of soda. Needless to say, the two of them had passed out before they could finish their endless night of movies. Peter wasn’t sure who passed out first but he was glad that [Y/N] was finally getting sleep.
Peter was also glad that the City seemed quiet throughout the night. As much as he wanted to head Tony’s words on staying away from the trouble, he felt like he had a job to do. And even though making [Y/N] happy was an important job for him to do too, he needed to be out there as well.
It was reaching a little past three in the morning when his phone buzzed underneath him. Gently scrambling to get his phone before it woke up [Y/N]. He blinked a few times, finally reading that there was a bank robbery in progress just a few blocks down. Setting the phone down on his upper chest, he contemplated his situation. He could easily stay, let the police handle the robbery and take advantage of the act that [Y/N] was sleeping soundly with her head nuzzled into the crook of his neck with her arm draped over his torso without a pillow in between them or get out of bed and stop a bank from having thousands of dollars stolen that he was pretty sure his Aunt May banked at.
Peter toyed with his ultimatum for what seemed like hours but really only a few minutes had passed by. Deciding that he could always come back and enjoy her closeness later, he slipped slowly and carefully out of bed. He was getting a hang of his new skills and figured that it would only take a little less than an hour and he’d be right back in bed. Silently slipping on his Spider suit, he glanced over at [Y/N] who looked absolutely beautiful. Biting his lip, he inched towards her.
To ease his guilt, he told himself that he couldn’t let this City ruin [Y/N]. Meaning, he wasn’t going to let what happened to Uncle Ben happen to her. And in this city now, anything was possible and anything could happen to absolutely anyone. He stroked her hair before sprinting towards his window and jumping out the fire escape.
Like he had planned, it had only taken a little over half and hour. He had them all webbed up and hung upside down all ready for the cops. Peter felt pretty proud of himself, despite the backlash he’d receive from Tony. Smiling, he climbed into his opened window. Taking off his mask and slinging it somewhere, where [Y/N] wouldn’t find it, he strutted around in his room trying to find the clothes he had originally been in so she wouldn’t ask questions in the morning.
“Peter?” [Y/N] whispered with a terrified tone.
He froze, turning on his heel and finding [Y/N] sitting with her back against the wall and her knees to her chest with a fear stricken expression. Shit. “[Y/N]!”
“You, your,” her voice trailed as she scanned over his body dressed in the notorious Spider Man suit. “I think I should go.” [Y/N] slowly but surely started to climb over the mountain of blanket and pillows. Losing her footing, she squealed softly and embraced herself to hit his floor covered in computer pieces and junk. But instead of feeling pricks of metal, she felt a pair of strong arms holding up from falling. She made eye contact with Peter, frowning slightly at his panicked look. Realizing again, that her best friend was Spider Man, she freaked and pawed him away from her.
Stepping down off the bed, she ran her hands through her hair. Inhaling sharply as she tried to gather her things. “I, I have to go.”
“[Y/N],” Peter begged, “Let me explain.”
Feeling like she should allow Peter to explain himself. She set down her things and turned slowly to look at him. All she wanted to do was run out of the apartment and scream but Peter’s her best friend. She owed him after the night he tried to give her a chance. Nodding, she tucked her hair behind her ears. “Oh, okay. Explain.”
Peter had only gotten about five minutes into his story before [Y/N] had to stop him. Wincing and biting her lip, she sighed. “Okay, I’m adjusting to the fact that your Spider Man and everything but I can’t focus with you still wearing that.” [Y/N] pointed to his suit and gave him a small smile, “Please take it off-” Peter was already ahead of her before she could spit the words out. Her eyes widened as the suit slowly glided off his body. “Holy Mother of, Jesus!” [Y/N] gasped. Tearing her eyes away from his extremely toned body, she turned around and placed a hand on her forehead. Taking in a deep breath, she turned back around. “We’re going to get back to the fact that your toned as hell because I’ve known you literally my entire life and never once seen you pick up a freaking weight or actually run the mile when supposed to but put some clothes on and continue.”
Peter blushed as he scrambled to find some clothes. As he searched for his pajama bottoms, he couldn’t help but notice the look [Y/N] was giving him. It made him smile to think that maybe [Y/N] did like him.
I’m curious to know if any of you want me to continue this? I certainly would love to if you guys are interested in reading more. :) Let me know <3
