Among them was Arda Güler, a standout player from Real Madrid.

"So, you're Kenan's sister?" Arda asked as he approached me, his tone friendly and genuine.

"I understand, Kenan," Arda replied sincerely. "I won't take her trust or feelings lightly."

Kenan placed a reassuring hand on Arda's shoulder. "Good. Just know that if you ever do," he paused, his gaze firm, "you'll have me to worry about.”

Arda nodded solemnly, appreciating Kenan's protective stance. "I won't let you down," he vowed, his voice steady with determination.

"Hey, Kenan," Arda began, pulling out his phone. "Mind if I make a quick call?"

Kenan nodded, curious but not entirely surprised. He watched as Arda stepped away a few paces and dialed Y/N number.

The breeze carried snippets of their conversation back to Kenan as he stretched his muscles.

"Hey, it's me," Arda said warmly. "Yeah, I'm with Kenan. Listen, I talked to him, and... he's cool with it."

Kenan could sense the nervous excitement in Arda's voice as he listened intently, pretending not to eavesdrop.

"Yeah, he said it's okay," Arda continued, a smile evident in his tone. "I know, right? I'm really happy too."

Kenan couldn't help but grin at Arda's obvious happiness. He respected Arda and believed he was genuine, but as a big brother, he couldn't help but feel protective.

After a few more minutes of conversation, Arda bid Y/N goodbye and joined Kenan again. He could see the anticipation in Arda's eyes, mixed with a hint of relief.

"Everything okay?" Kenan asked casually, though he already knew the answer.

Arda nodded, unable to contain his smile. "Yeah, she's really happy. Thanks, Kenan," he said gratefully. "I appreciate you trusting me with this."

Kenan clapped a hand on Arda's shoulder, his expression serious but warm. "Just remember what I said earlier," he reminded him. "She's important to me, so don't mess it up."

Arda nodded earnestly. "I won't, Kenan. I promise."

With a nod of approval from Kenan, Arda felt a sense of relief and gratitude. He knew that having Kenan's blessing meant a lot, and he was determined to show Y/N just how much she meant to him.

White Jade Tiger, the newest historical drama premiered January 20th, 2025 at the TCL Chinese Theatre. The event was gorgeous with contemporary art featuring Asian artists. CNO media managed to snag a couple of interviews. View them down below.

I: Hey, it's great to see you!

A: Thanks! It's so nice to see everyone here to support the movie.

I: Speaking of the movie, are you surprised by the success?

A: Honestly, yeah. Very much, actually! Especially with a predominantly Asian cast, not a lot of movies like White Jade Tiger get so much traction. John, our director is an absolute genius. I learned so much from him.

I: Yeah, very true. Crazy Rich Asians was a complete hit. Anyways, congratulations! I just have a few questions for you.

A: Ooh, okay!

I: Alright. What is your favourite Asian snack?

A: Definitely boba. Does that count?

I: Haha, sure. What was your favourite scene to film?

A: Um, I think anything that was in the nature. I love B.C..

I: What was your go to entertainment on set?

A: (laughs, and flushes slightly) I watched a lot of Formula 1 and 2 on set. I got to go to the Monaco Grand Prix like what, four months ago? It was super fun.

I: Would you like to go again?

A: Well, yeah, of course! It's Formula 1, who wouldn't want to go? (smiles and shrugs)

I: Well, if anyone wants to sponsor her...

A: (looks and points at camera) You heard it here! (giggles)

I: Thanks for your time Aubrey, enjoy the night.

A: Thank you! I hope you like the movie. (waves and starts off towards the next press interview)

AUBREY YANG'S DIRECTING DEBUT

Aubrey Yang, Hollywood's sweetheart at age 18, announces her directing debut with short film Pelt, a coming-of-age story discovering the complexities of femininity and identity. Attending New York University as a film and classics student since age 16, the former of her majors is coming to use as this film started off as a finals project.

"It's so crazy," Yang tells us over coffee, "that my school project is being bought out and brought to Hollywood". The young actress turned director "loves acting with [her] whole heart" but working behind the camera certainly has intrigue.

Filming took place over the last five months, only weeks after her movie with up and coming star Dallas Liu premiered. Her success is astounding: she has won more awards before she can legally drink than most people in this industry do in their whole careers. Maybe another award is coming for this young star, only in the creative category.

Seventeen's Reaction to Their Crush's Guy Best Friend (F!Reader)

You were the cutest thing Seungcheol had ever seen. The way your lips pressed together when you thought, how wide you smiled when you got a pleasant shock…the way you’d given that same smile when he’d offered you his arm half-jokingly, half-seriously and you’d taken it, walking right alongside him like that.

So who was that guy making you smile and laugh? Why were you always dropping someone else’s name? Was he that dense or was this guy really just a good friend? Seungcheol wanted to be that name. He wanted to have you by his side, have plans with you as often as your self-described “movie buddy” you caught nearly every new flick with. He could feel his brow creasing whenever his eyes fell upon the guy, mostly out of confusion, but a touch out of something else, even though he knew he didn’t have the right.

He just wanted it, wanted it so bad it was practically motivation throughout the day. As if every task, every workout, was saving up more strength to finally have that conversation with you.

It came more quickly than he cared to admit, his feet carrying him right to you of their own accord. You were wearing his favorite color on you, and the smile you gave him when you turned around only spurred him on. He had to know. Had to make you his if there was any chance in the world. If not, that ‘buddy’ of yours had better treat you like a queen.

“Hi, Seungcheol!” You gave him a little wave and he thought his heart might burst. “What’s up?”

“Have you seen that new mystery that just came out?”

“Not yet,” you shook your head, “but hopefully soon, I’d really like to!”

“Oh, you haven’t made plans with your boyfriend for it yet?”

Your gape, the near-horror that crossed your eyes, was priceless in more ways than one. “That is not my boyfriend, that’s just my bestie! He’s my mom’s best friend’s son, and he’s so not my type!”

Passion took hold of Seungcheol, a wave of adrenaline like he could barely describe. “I see! I wanted to respect your relationship to him above anything, but if that’s the case… Can I ask you out to go see it?”

“Of course!” You grin. “I keep telling him to get a girlfriend to take to all these movies anyway! I only like you.”

It took everything in Seungcheol not to kiss you right then and there.

Jeonghan

“Well, what am I supposed to think?”

“She said they were just friends!”

“She also sits really close to him.”

Jeonghan was sick and tired of that same old argument. Sick and tired of wondering who that guy you took everywhere with them was, even if he was really nice. The others tried their hands at blind reassurance, but Jeonghan was the type to get information himself, and the way you two had sat so close, chairs pushed nearly as much as possible together and legs brushing, was the final straw.

One conversation and he would know. Would leave you alone and smile through the knowledge that he was too late, come to accept it in time. All he had to do was play his cards just right, and if there was one thing he was good at it was that.

You were happy that night. Having a great time out with Seventeen, laughing at Soonyoung’s antics after he’d had one too many, stealing lots of glances Jeonghan’s way that had his heart leaping and easy smile manifesting. Your ‘best friend’ couldn’t make it, so it was the perfect time to work his hook into the conversation.

“Did you see those little flower stands on the corner?”

“Yeah,” you nod, an eager yet wistful look crossing your lovely features, “the bouquets are so pretty! It’s because Valentine’s Day is around the corner.” And there it was- you had taken the bait exactly. “If only…”

The way your chin fell onto your hand, the little drift of your eyes. Dreamy, all of it. It was enough to make Jeonghan want to spoil you. “You don’t think anyone will get you some?”

Your eyes widen a bit; you take a sip of your drink and shake your head. “No, who on earth would? Unless I had a secret admirer,” you joked, voice truly and genuinely incredulous.

That was all Jeonghan felt too, complete shock at your lack of awareness of what a gem you were. Well, that and the soaring rise of satisfaction knowing how surprised you were going to be on the fourteenth.

Joshua

Joshua embodied the old “slow to anger” verse for sure. It took a lot to build resentment in him and he truly saw the best in others whenever he could. So the fact that this guy was bugging him? Had to be his problem. I mean, you met in dance class, of course he’d be dancing with you across the practice room floor, but why’d it seem like showing off when-

“Jealous?” Suddenly Jeonghan had appeared at his side, catlike smile upon his face.

Heat crept to Joshua’s face at the single word, furrowing his brows even as his eyes widened. That was all his vocal unit-mate needed, it seemed.

“I knew it. You like her, don’t you? That’s the only reason you’d care if they were dancing, after all we showed them the moves we were working on.”

“I just-” He sighed, unable to defend himself with lies any longer. “Yeah. I guess I just wish that could be me waltzing with her like that.”

“It can be! Watch!” Jeonghan held up a hand. “(y/n), can Joshua try? He’ll be a natural!”

“Of course!” You lit up. Waving away your dance partner, you stepped up to Joshua. “I can see you being a good waltzer, Mr. Gentleman.”

Rolling his eyes at Jeonghan’s smug look, Joshua nervously, gently, gripped your waist, ready to give you the waltz of your life and dip you like your best friend almost did.

Jun

He was always teasing you and nudging you, but it was ok, right? He drove you around and bought you food sometimes, too, but that was alright… wasn’t it?

It was natural to want to do those things with you, too, as long as he didn’t let any animosity toward the other guy build up. At least that’s what Jun told himself. Some of the members were whispering suspicions about you just not going official yet, and that was like an arrow straight through his heart. Ever since the day you two had gone to that cat café, after all, his heart had been for you and you alone.

You were laughing really hard at something he said. Something about raisins that surely needed context. Part of him wanted to scoot in closer. Another part wanted to just leave and move on to another conversation. He settled for quiet, just watching for a bit. Your eyes darted his way and he smiled. You smiled back. You brought up something funny he'd done, asked if he would recreate it for everyone. For you, he would.

The way you laughed was worth it. Lighting up your eyes reminded Jun what was really important- protecting your precious soul. Your friend laughed, too, played off the joke perfectly. He was a nice guy, he really was. Jun still couldn't help feeling intimidated, though, when he went up to get another drink and your best friend immediately followed. Trying to play it cool, he turned his head, gave your buddy a smile.

"Hi. Do you need something? I can get you a drink, or- or-"

"She'd kill me if she knew I was doing this," he blurted out, eyes staring right into Jun's eyes, "but she likes you, man. I wouldn't normally say anything, but... I don't know, I can just see it with you two. I just don't want her to get hurt, so..."

"I don't either." Jun's eyes widened at the revelation, corners of his mouth threatening to tug upward. "I just want to make her as happy as she makes me."

"Believe me, if all her rants are any indication, you do," your best friend teased Jun, elbowing him.

Hoshi

The moment he heard that you, the object of his feelings, had a guy best friend, it set off an insatiable curiosity. Soonyoung had to meet this guy and meet this guy fast. Because if this guy was your bestie, he probably wasn't your type, right? So if he was anything like Soonyoung himself, ouch. Not that it sounded like the guy was a choreographer or anywhere near the tiger aficionado he was. But just as important: did he treat you right? It sounded like he did. Did he set the bar really high? Model how a real man should act or would Soonyoung have to sweep in and take over for the bas-

"I know this is a little silly of a way to spend your day off, so I really appreciate you joining us, Soonyoung. Sorry we're late!"

Your words interrupted his reverie, cutting the blur of his vision back to dial in on your wonderful smile again. In your hand was the box of lego he'd agreed to build with you and the guy he'd been curious about for so long, someone who was really into building sets, apparently. Soonyoung could dig it. A rare respite from the usual chaos he lived in.

"Don't worry," he comforts you, throwing a hopefully-subtle glance your bestie's way. Well, he certainly didn't look like Soonyoung. Whew. "This is a great way to force me to relax. I'm all yours!"

Of course, being a tiny bit more flirty around the best friend may also draw a distinction...better venture putting an arm around you when you sit down just in case...

"Next time I come to Seoul, I'm hoping my girlfriend can make it, too," you best friend suddenly comments as he splits the baggie labeled with a 1 open, "she just had to be in LA this week. We could..." He pauses, glances between you and Soonyoung with a sly smile. "...maybe do a double date or something?"

Oh, he could just kiss this guy! No, wait, you! Soonyoung feels himself flush and grin widely before he can help it, trying to calm his expression as he glances your way. Can you feel his heartbeat against your side?

Your eyelashes flutter. So cute. "I-I'm game if you are," you tell him shyly.

"I am. I so am."

Wonwoo

"Well, if it isn't Jeon 'Nerves of Steel' Wonwoo."

"Are you insecure or something?" The bespectacled rapper shoots back, sparing Chan a passing glance.

"No, I'm sane! If I liked someone whose best friend was all over her like that, I’d hardly be carrying on like normal.”

“All over her? They’re just walking up arm in arm! We don’t even know the guy yet,” Wonwoo reminds him. After all, this is the first time they’ll be meeting the bestie they’d heard so much about, so it is still unfair to judge him. Even if Wonwoo does wonder what it would feel like to get to walk with you that way…

“Hi guys! We’re here!”

You exclaim the greeting and your best friend grabs your hand, hoisting them up like you’ve just won the Olympics. The others swarm you right away, members you’re also close with and a few of the elders vibe-checking your friend. By the time Wonwoo approaches, Chan following quickly behind him with a skeptical arch of his brow, Seungcheol is already talking to him about music.

“Of course I’ve heard your songs! (y/n)’s car alone would teach me a lot, but I’m a fan anyway! It must be so amazing, all the different people you guys get to work with and other idols you get to meet! Who’s the nicest?”

He does seem really nice. Chan can keep his immaturity to himself, Wonwoo thinks. Who cares if the guy is- still holding your hand? Ok, a bit suspicious, but he had to swallow that, remembering your happiness was the most important thing and smiling for you.

“Oh my gosh! Wooyoung from Ateez? Good to know, he’s pretty much my ideal type!” Your best friend jokes to Seungkwan, who’s quickly hijacked the conversation about other idols. “Isn’t that right, (y/n)?”

“Save it for your poster,” you joke back before turning toward Chan and Wonwoo with a teasing grin, “I keep telling him his next boyfriend should be a lookalike- whoever finds him wins!”

Ok, now Wonwoo is smiling for both of you.

Woozi

Oh, man, if Seungcheol found out, he was dead meat. At least that was Jihoon’s guess. His fellow leader could be very intimidating when he wanted to be, and the protective streak Jihoon admired would surely apply to his best female friend. The very same woman he had fallen for.

You were bright, cheery in a way that energized him instead of exhausting him. Just the type he'd always dreamed of. The day you left one of your silly little figurines in his studio "just to keep him company" was the day he knew he'd fallen hard. Seungcheol always beamed at you with pride, and Jihoon could see why. But did your friend see you as his?

“Here, listen to this!” Seungcheol was in the studio, your figurine and Jihoon both watching as he gently dropped a pair of headphones onto you.

Your eyelids fluttered closed; contentment spread across your face, bringing warmth to Jihoon’s heart as he couldn’t tear his eyes away. Gently you nodded to the rhythm, smile growing as your head bobbed. It was like Seungcheol was gloating, torturing him-

“What do you think?” Hands on either side of your head, your friend freed you from the headphones’ grip and peered into your eyes with a smile Jihoon tried desperately to read. Maybe that was the problem: he was trying both too hard and not hard enough.

“I love it!” You burst out, glancing between the men on either side of you from your chair. “Did you write this, or-”

“No,” he shook his head, “Jihoon did. Sounds like someone beautiful must have inspired him, huh?”

Seungcheol’s head turned as he said those last words, nodded almost imperceptibly. Oh. It was that demo. Was he- Was he giving his blessing? Jihoon felt red blooming beneath his cheeks, barely resisted the urge to frown and wave a hand and turn back around from your gaze. Well, the nod- and Seungcheol’s look of amused surprise- would have to do. Jihoon didn’t feel like having a conversation with him about it, but maybe he’d have one with you soon…

You seemed positively giddy to introduce Seokmin and your best friend, probably because he was like the next best thing. Not that that was the role he wanted. It wasn’t besting the poor…well, bestie, it was simply that you were so cute and he just wanted to hold you and sway you back and forth and kiss your cheeks and…

Seokmin really liked you. The fact that you had a guy best friend, though? Easily meant you just clicked with dudes, had a different approach to dating. It wasn’t something he tried to bring up too much. Ignorance is bliss, after all.

Bliss that couldn’t last forever, though, as you dragged your friend forward and Seokmin got ready to study every interaction you had with him. After all, if you acted the exact same way toward that guy it would be obvious. Crushing, pun intended, but obvious.

The guy playfully rolled his eyes as you yanked him over- not by the hand, though, by the sleeve. Interesting. Introductions went smoothly.

“So, how long have you two known each other again?” Seokmin asked.

“Funny, I was just about to ask the same thing to you!” Your best friend replied with a smile.

Was that a challenge? A threat? Was this a how-well-we-know-(y/n)-off?

Apparently not, for all the guy did was nod and say “Ok, cool!” before you guys all headed into the arcade.

Soon you three were having a shoot-off at the basketball game, and when you took second place, you high-fived both of them. Equal treatment? But earlier you had put your hand on his shoulder, oh and you said he looked cute when you guys were messing with the game props and-

“Hey, Seokmin?” Your friend had gone to the restroom, leaving just the two of you pulling aside from the hoops.

“Yeah?”

“I hope this isn’t a weird time to do this, but, well, I wanted there to be a third person in case things got awkward,” you paused for three, four of his rampant heartbeats, “I just wanted to tell you that I like you.”

His jaw dropped. “Are you serious?”

“Why would I lie about something like that?”

“I dunno, I guess I was just worried you saw me the same as your friend there,” he shrugged.

“Please,” you waved your hand, “love that guy, but he doesn’t have a romantic bone in his body.”

Seokmin grinned. “And I do?”

“Says the guy who always pulls me away from the road and gave me his scarf the other night!”

“Oh,” Seokmin mused, “I forgot about that. But you know what? Keep it.” And with that, he scooped you into a the warmest hug of your life, all the lights and chatter of the arcade fading out beneath the sensation.

Mingyu

Mungyu was head over frickin heels for you. You, the way you smiled, how hard you laughed at his roast battle with Soonyoung (he won), the cute little way you wrung your hands when you were nervous. He couldn’t help but feel jealous of your male best friend, though- that man must have known your lovely brain even more intimately, known every secret to winning your heart. Maybe he already was winning it, the way you always sat by him and dragged him along on your wonderfully silly antics. The most conflicting part? Your best friend was one of his bandmates.

He’d only met you because you moved near Seventeen’s dorms and Seokmin started bringing you around. It shouldn’t have mattered, but the way you laughed together had his chest tightening, wondering why that couldn’t be him. But would saying something upset Seokmin, cause a rift between the two men? That was the last thing Mingyu wanted. If only his heart would dull its ache, quit beating a mile a minute the moment you fell into his sights.

Something snapped in him one day, though, when you fated three made a convenience store run. You were in a particularly good mood, excitedly grabbing your best friend’s hand and swinging your joined appendages back and forth. All Mingyu wanted was closure, and he was going to get it once and for all.

“So, do you two like each other?” The moment Seokmin rounded the corner to find his favorite snacks, the words burst from the tall rapper’s lips. Mingyu’s composure threatened to falter in the seconds before you answered, ticks that felt like minutes.

You giggled, but the sound wasn’t sheepish, in fact it was…incredulous? Not to mention extremely adorable the way you lit up with mirth. “No way! Seokmin is like a brother to me. In fact, the only reason he started bringing me around Seventeen was thinking he was going to set me up with one of you,” you replied.

“Really?” Mingyu can’t hide his gape at that. “Which one?”

At that, you giggle again. “I don’t think it mattered, really! I think he just wants to make a real sister-in-law out of me. I’d probably have my pick,” you rolled your eyes teasingly.

But then your gaze fell from his almost shyly. And there between aisles of foil snack packages, beneath fluorescent bar lights, came a glittering vision of hope. As if all of Mingyu’s dreams were going to come true.

“Well, if you’re taking applications, sign me up,” he tells you, leaning against a cookie display.

His arm slipped and he almost fell, but you said yes, so nothing was going to wipe the grin off of his face as he took your hand, insisted on carrying your bag on the way back to the dorms.

Seokmin just swung his head back and forth between you two. “What happened while I was gone?”

“You’re not jealous?”

“Why should I be?”

Frankly, it blew some of the other more possessive-leaning Seventeen members’ minds how little it bothered Minghao. You, the girl he claimed to have feelings for, to feel differently toward than anyone else he'd ever met.

"Because that guy is sitting awfully close to her!" Mingyu shot back. "You're not upset? At least feeling like you have competition?"

"A person isn't a prize. It's her choice on who to be with, not mine, and besides, they're best friends. I'm not exactly wishing to be in his place, no," Minghao responds, ending his statement with a smirk.

Mingyu shakes his head at first before breaking into an amused smile and laugh. "All right, you got me there."

Before much else could be said, Minghao heard his name, grinned as he turned around and saw you waving him over. "Come play our silly little game with us!"

"Ok," he chuckled, sending one last smile to Mingyu, who mouthed an overly encouraging 'go get 'em, tiger' that had his nose wrinkling.

In all honesty, it made him happy to be included in moments like that one, old nostalgic games with your best friend. Like him back or not, there was a beauty in seeing Minghao as an important enough part of your life and he wouldn't waste that. As a matter of fact, it only encouraged him to get closer to you and your friends and welcome you more into his life, too.

“After this, you get to pick the next game, ok?”

Minghao just smiled. “Of course. I can teach you mine and my mom’s old favorite.”

Seungkwan

“Oh, remember at your brother’s birthday party when your mom had the limbo contest?”

“Yes, he just bent his legs so weird!”

You and one of your closest friends are sitting reminiscing on all the things you’d done together. The two of you have, for lack of a better term, history, and maybe that’s something that will never get built up the same with-

“Seungkwan?”

Turning his head, Seungkwan responds to his leader’s call with a faint hum, seeing Seungcheol nod toward an empty bedroom and following him in. As soon as he steps through the threshold, he sees the way his elder has his arms crossed and his downturned eyebrows raise.

“Wanna talk about what’s going on out there? And before you ask, yes, I can tell something’s off. It’s (y/n) and her friend, huh?”

Curse his expressiveness. Sometimes Seungkwan feels like he can never keep a secret. Everything is betrayed by his face or the way he acts, but nothing in the world can suppress reflex, pure emotion. At least not all the time.

He sighs. “Yes. I just… I just can’t help feeling like I’ve lost. He knows her like the back of his hand, they have all these memories together… maybe I should just give up.”

“Just because they’ve known each other for longer doesn’t mean anything,” Seungcheol comforts him, stepping forward to rest a firm hand on his shoulder, “in fact, maybe that’s a good sign. If they’ve been friends for years and he’s never made a move, why would he now?”

Seungkwan’s shoulders rise and fall beneath his leader’s warm grip. “Maybe. I guess… I mean, I just worry because she’s spending all that time with him and what am I if not-”

“Seungkwan!”

Your voice cuts into the dark, curling clouds of his reverie, fading around the corner as he stiffens and Seungcheol drops his hand again. Shuffling carefully forward, he tentatively leaves the room to find you standing before him, a smile rising gently to your lips.

“There you are,” you breathe, stepping closer, “I was worried when I saw you leave suddenly. Are you alright?”

His heart flips. He nods. “Yeah, Seungcheol just had a question for me. I’m heading back out, in fact,” he adds, shooting Seventeen’s leader a brief look and receiving a nod in response.

“Good. It’s not the same without you,” you tell him, and this smile elicits more than a flip- this time his heart practically explodes.

“Really?” He asks before he can stop himself.

“Really,” you confirm, heading back out into the room. Luckily you don’t seem to notice the very smug, triumphant glance he shoots your best friend’s way.

Vernon

Vernon isn’t the jealous type. Possessiveness is unnecessary stress, and he feels like if two people truly connect there’s no need.

The problem is he isn’t sure how well you two have connected. Sure you’re friends and sure you guys have hung out, but there’s another guy you’re with all the time- boyfriend? Hard to tell. If so, not officially, not in words. He’s your best friend, your ride or die, so to speak, and Vernon isn’t going to do anything to get in the way of that. Having twelve ride or dies himself, that would be hypocrisy in the highest.

Yet the way his brow furrows seeing you with him, the unpleasant jolt of his heart when you bring up yet another joke just the two of you share, has him wondering if his interest is feckless. It’s not anger, for he had no claim to you, but a strong desire for closure, just one final word to release him from the surreptitious glances at your beauty or jokes made just for you. The thoughts of what sort of stuff you would do as a couple- were you the matching tattoos or matching pajamas type? DIY dates or something bougier? Probably more DIY, you were so down to earth, but Vernon would spoil you if you let him…

“Oh, come off it, bro,” you waved your best friend’s hand off your shoulder, wrinkling your nose at the embarrassing childhood anecdote, “I haven’t done that since I was a kid and you never saw me, my mom just told you the story!”

Bro? Bro! One choice word had Vernon’s ears perking up. He’d never caught you going full bro with your bestie before. Did he have a shot? Involuntarily his heartbeat picked up.

“And I’ll never let you forget it,” your best friend gave you a smug look, crossing his arms.

Your eyes met Vernon’s in a flustered glance. As cute as you looked embarrassed, he didn’t want you to be uncomfortable. Instead he offered a comforting smile. “Don’t worry, I didn’t really catch it.”

Sighing in relief, you shook your head at your friend before looking once more at Vernon. “You’re so lucky you just have a sister, otherwise this is what you have to deal with.”

Vernon laughed at that, a sound that even surprised him, but such a giddy rush had struck his heart with the hope that came from your revelation. If your best friend was a brother in your eyes, could someone else hold your heart?

Lee Chan was, in a word, not having it.

You were it for him, a girl like he'd never met before, and it had become his newest mission in life to show you how amazing you were. Compliments, small gifts, being there for help or comfort whenever you needed it, all were fair game for the youngest member of Seventeen.

So why were you suddenly dragging this other guy around everywhere?

Chan's heart felt like it was in a vice when you made all the posts taking him to an amusement park, to Baskin Robbins, the park, all the cute places he would have given anything to go one-on-one with you to.

"Trust me, I think you should let this go," Minghao told him at practice one day, "look at his arm around her, nice but so stiff. There's no way the two of them are anything but friends."

Valid point, but who else would take up such major real estate of your time so quickly? Go from zero to sixty hanging out unless you were his girlfriend? Either way Chan wasn't going down without a fight.

The next time he saw you, the metaphorical gloves were off. And by that, Chan fully intended to march right up to you, thundering of his heart be darned, and have his choice words. Well, choice question, really.

"Why are you doing all those things with him and not me?" It wasn't entirely a complaint, not entirely a command or entreaty either. It was everything Chan felt when he looked at you and lit up, then saw someone else basking in that light.

Your brows furrowed at his words, every twitch of your muscle one of true confusion, before you spoke. "Who, my cousin? He's only in Seoul for a few more weeks, so we've been cramming it all in. Do you really want to do all that with me too?"

Cousin! Internally Chan was breaking out into a one-man dance routine. Externally? He had to keep it a bit cooler.

"With you and no one else," he confirmed with a smile, leaning back against the wall with a look of smug satisfaction, even if it did mean Minghao was right.

You were just on the way to work; having set foot in the bus five minutes ago, when you felt your phone vibrating inside the pocket of your jeans. Quickly removing your headphones, you fished for the little device. A smile darted across your face at the name on the display.

"Hey, sweetie, what's up?"

"Hey, uh, I didn't wake ya, did I?" The familiar voice of your boyfriend urged to your ears; making you smile. "No, ya didn't. I'm on my way to work." "Now?" He asked kinda confused; presumably checking the time - again. "I thought ya have ta take on the night-shift over the weekend?"

"Uh, yeah, originally that was the plan, but they changed it up again. 'M staying in the early shift the rest of the week. Plus..." Your smile even widened. "... Saturday is my day off now." "Not Tuesday next week?" "Nope - and that means, you could come over Friday evening and we could, I don't know... Watch a movie together and order some pizza?" "Sounds great, sunshine, I-" Suddenly Daryl got interrupted by a voice in the background. A voice you only knew too well... "Stop talkin' to yer girl and get yer lazy ass over here!" Merle.

"I gotta go..." Daryl announced seconds later. "Yeah, sure... You're coming over then?" "I'll try." It was all he said, before he hung up, causing you to roll your eyes. Daryl behaved so different when he was with his brother. The older Dixon was definitely a bad influence - and nobody could convince you otherwise.

You sighed and plucked your headphones back in; switching on your music once more.

You had already made up your mind that Daryl wasn't going to show up. You had learned in the past months not to expect too much of Daryl, when he was with Merle. So, you already decided to change into your pyjama t-shirt and shorts, made yourself a huge bowl of popcorn and flopped on the small sofa in your little apartment to watch a movie alone.

You had just decided on something, when the rather shrill doorbell ripped you out of your thoughts; causing you to flinch.

"Goddammit," you cursed while unwrapping yourself from the cocoon of blankets and jogging to the door.

Slightly out of breath, you pushed down the handle of the door.

"Daryl?" Your jaw dropped; eyes widening as you looked at the redneck across from you. He was wearing his signature orange checkered shirt with the sleeves ripped off and a baggy black jeans; leaning against the door frame with his hands stuffed in his pockets. "I-I thought you couldn't make it?"

He just casually shrugged his shoulders, "I told ya, I'd try..." and gave you a small boyish smile. "'Sides, I wanted to see ya..."

You raised an eyebrow; a smile creeping up your face. You stepped closer to your boyfriend; wrapping your arms around his neck. "Oh, really? Did ya?" Daryl nodded; placing his hands on your hips. "Sure. Merle wasn't happy 'bout me leavin', but I don' care. I ain't letting him forbid me seeing my girl." Your heart fluttered at his words. You smiled even wider and simply pressed a kiss on his lips.

"C'mon then. I almost started without ya." You took his hand and pulled him after you inside your small apartment. Daryl just managed to kick the door shut with his foot. "What were ya goin' to watch?" "Just some kind of trash horror movie." "A trash horror movie, huh?"

You sat down on the sofa with Daryl immediately pulling you onto his lap. "Yep. With zombies, tons of fake blood and very bad acting." "Perfect."

You really enjoyed the time you had with Daryl. It were moments like this, which reminded you that Daryl was not remotely as bad as people told you he would be. No, he was yours and he was the most wonderful thing that happened to you.

"Fuckin' hell, that was the worst movie I've ever seen," the brown haired man stated and shook his head; smiling. You giggled and shifted; removed your legs from his lap and cuddled against his shoulder. "But it was funny and at least a bit scary." He nodded. "Yeah, I give ya that." Daryl wrapped an arm around you; pulling you closer.

"Thank you for being here. With me." Your boyfriend smiled another genuinely happy smile. "I'll always be, sunshine."

Only just yesterday you finally decided it was time to cut your hair after a while of letting it grow all the way down to your waist. When you finally came out of the inn you and the chain were staying at for a while in gerudo town in wilds world you were almost unrecognizable at first. The only reason they actually knew it was you is because twi sniffed your sent from a mile way.

Wind: “wow I almost didn’t recognize them at first!” 😦

Time: “I don’t think any of us did wind.”

Four: “well he’s got a point- uh… and thei r gone.”

Legand: “great..”

You literally just dashed out of there going to the up draft before taking off the go find riju and hopefully train with her for a while. You eventually found her in north gerudo ruins training on dummies again and you both agreed to battle each other for a bit of training. Little did you know that four and legand were looking for you in gerudo town thinking you’ll be there..

(Yeah I’m doing a lot of time skips because I’m getting a mind grain😬)

After around 3-4 hours of training with ruji (Btw ruji was the only one that recognized you straight away) you both decided to head to the town hoping the see the chain their already and only after the first few minutes of you both walking into town you started getting stairs and people whispering..

“Did ruji let in an another voe already?”

“Most likely but he’s cute in my opinion.”

Once you heard the vais say that you started giving ruji a side eye like your telling her “let’s bounce” but before you could even take another step a group of vai walked up to you and started commenting how you looked or how strong you were (not like they knew)

While the crowd was just getting larger and ruji was just trying to get you away from there you saw four and legend, and legend looked like he was about to beat the shit out of someone but he somehow kept his composer dragging you out of there in a instant with four watching

“You vai know that’s a female right?”

Four yelled into the crowd making everyone but ruji stunned as they were both pulling you back to the chain

“Never again..”

They both said almost in sync while you just nodded

“Fine fine… bozos-“

“Hey!”

A World of Pure Imagination

Author's Note: Wonka was released on Max yesterday (March 8th)! Whoo! I started watching it last night, and I couldn't help but feel so giddy while watching it! It's such a sweet and endearing movie! I stopped after "For a Moment," and I'll watch the rest later. Maybe I'll watch it as I write the rest of the story. That probably won't happen, though, because I love this movie so much, lol. .

Anyways, this chapter was so much fun and surprisingly easy chapter to write! But picking who sings what was a bit difficult, but I got it! 😁

I love this song! It's so catchy, and it shows the impact Wonka's chocolate is having. It's such a fun dancing song, too!

Also, I had to put two GIFs in this time. I couldn't choose between the two, lol. They were both too good!

Chapter 7: You've Never Had Chocolate Like This

Yin felt the excitement course through his body as he, Willy, and Noodle discussed their plan for the day. After talking about plans all night, the whole team was ready to sell chocolate.

As Noodle talked to Willy about what to do when they spot the police, Yin was distracted. He couldn't help but stare at the beautiful chocolatier. He was dressed as a waiter for a restaurant, part of his disguise, and Yin couldn't keep his eyes off him. Not only was it a bit strange seeing him dressed so formal, but it was a change that made Yin's heart skip a beat.

"Yin! Are you there?"

The boy snapped out of his trance and looked at the person talking. "Yeah. I'm here, Noodle..." His words trailed off again as he felt himself blush with embarrassment.

"You're clear with the plan?" She asked.

"Yeah..." Yin muttered with a nod, still looking dazed.

"You have to be ready to catch Willy when he goes into the storm drain. Got it?"

Yin just nodded with a hum.

Noodle sighed and shook her head while smiling fondly. 'He's hopeless.' She thought to herself.

Willy chuckled at the interaction. "You'll do great." He told the slightly flustered boy.

Yin nodded at the curly haired boy. "Okay."

They heard the church bell ring, signaling the start of the day.

"All right. It's time to sell some chocolate!" Willy said with excitement. Noodle nodded and got into position. Before Willy could go, Yin grabbed his wrist. "Wait, Willy." He said, his voice soft.

"Yes, Yin?" Willy looked at him.

Yin bit his bottom lip shyly and ran his fingers through his hair, feeling a blush bloom onto his cheeks. "You look great." He said softly.

Willy felt his cheeks warm up at the compliment. He looked to the side for a second before turning back to the adorable boy in front of him.

"Thank you." He said with a soft smile. He took his free hand and placed it on Yin's cheek, his thimb caressing the area. The action made Yin blush more, but he smiled sweetly. "Good luck." Yin whispered, releasing Willy's wrist from his hold. Willy smiled more and nodded at the boy before he pulled away and jogged over to where he needed to be. He already missed Yin's touch.

Yin jogged over to Noodle, who was smirking at the lovestruck boy. "You're so in love." She teased. "Shut up." Yin muttered with a chuckle. Noodle laughed at her friend.

The two started to watch Willy as he approached a man who just got rejected by his partner. Ouch.

"Monsieur, can I help you?" Willy asked the man in a French accent. Yin had to keep himself from giggling uncontrollably.

The man replied, "Hello waiter. Do you have anything for a broken heart?"

Willy moved to being in front of him. He put a napkin on the table and like magic, when he pulled it away, underneath it was one of his new creations.

And frightened of it all

Just eat a few of these, and you'll be feeling ten feet tall🎵

The man tried one of the treats. Then, he had a second one. He felt a transformation happen, and suddenly, he was feeling more confident.

Customers watched as Willy and the man, with his newfound confidence, got onto the tables and started to dance.

Customers clamored over to Willy, paying to get his chocolate. The man, feeling more confident than ever, walked up to his partner, Barbara.

The two kiss.

Yin and Noodle watched the scene with smiles on their faces. Then, Yin saw the police coming from a distance. He tapped on Noodle's shoulder. "The police are coming." Noodle looked before nodding. Yin ran to where he needed to go.

🎵You've never had chocolate like this

No, we've never had chocolate like this🎵

Noodle whistled, signaling to Willy that the police were coming. Acting fast, Willy got off the table and ran into an alleyway and jumped into the open storm drain.

Yin was already at the bottom, and he caught the chocolatier as he fell. Piper closed th storm drain, hiding them. Yin looked at Willy, his hands on the man's waist.

"Well?"

Willy smiled widely. "It was a success. They were buying the chocolate!" He replied with excitement. "Yay!" Yin said happily. Willy laughed at the cute boy.

The two stayed put for some time, enjoying the delightful silence until Yin spoke up.

"Hey, um, Willy?"

"Hmm?"

"When we do this again tomorrow, can I do it?"

"You want to sell my chocolate with me?"

Yin nodded, smiling. Willy matched his smile and placed his hands on Yin's shoulders. "Of course you can! How can I refuse?"

Yin's smile got even bigger.

(Transition)

It was a new day, and two ladies were discussing Willy Wonka's latest creation. Word was being spread now.

🎵Have you tried his new one?🎵

"No."

🎵Oh, you've got to have a go

Just pop one in, and everything becomes a Broadway show🎵

Yin, disguised as a ticket collector, gave the ladies the chocolate after paying. They started to sing and dance.

(Transition to nighttime)

It was now nighttime, and Willy was disguised as a barber, attending to a balding customer, along with two others.

Willy showed the three men the treat, who wolf them down eagerly. A hairless cat ate the leftover one.

🎵It's made from ground vanilla

From the markets of Manila

Take heed, eat more than three, and you'll end up like a gorilla🎵

(Transitioning between the two)

🎵Well, there's chocolate🎵

The passengers on the tram were dancing like they were on Broadway.

🎵And there's chocolate🎵

The three balding men now were sporting full hair-dos. Even the cat now had full fur.

🎵Only Wonka's makes you hop around the clockelet🎵

Yin watched with a big smile at everyone enjoying the chocolate. Until he heard Lottie ring the bell to warn him. Knowing who was coming, Yin ran towards the back of the tram where Abacus opened a hatch into the engine compartment. Yin slid through it and down into an open storm drain below.

Willy was at the bottom, and he caught the boy, arms around his waist. Yin's hands on Willy's shoulders.

"How it go?"

Yin smiled widely and reached into the pocket of his disguise and showed Willy the money he collected. "All of them bought it!" He said excitedly.

Willy laughed out of excitement and hugged Yin. "We're doing it!"

Yin blushed hard at Willy, hugging him, but he smiled and hugged the chocolatier back. The two embraced excitedly, hopping on their toes as the passengers sang. Even hearing the police chief and Officer Affable sing joyfully about how great Willy's chocolate is.

"By the way... you look great dressed like that." Willy said as he pulled away to look at Yin. Yin felt his cheeks warm up, but he smiled shyly. "Thank you."

(Transition to nighttime)

After a successful day, everyone retired to their rooms in the wash house.

Meanwhile, the main trio was in Noodle's room. Noodle wrote the word "Cat" on a blackboard. Willy was seated in a child's school chair, learning to read. Yin was standing close by, watching.

🎵Well, there's literate and illiterate

Can you tell me what this word is?

Not a bit of it🎵

Yin snickered at the two. Noodle sighed but continued.

🎵Well, that's a vowel, and that's a consonant

What's that now? You're talking nonsenense🎵

Yin laughed this time. Willy looked at the young man with a soft smile. Noodle sighed in exasperation.

🎵I should call it quits🎵

Abucus appeared with a jar of money.

🎵But you've never sold chocolate like this🎵

He was right. They were making a lot of money. Yin looked over to Willy, seeing he was creating something out of the paper on the desk.

"What are you doing?" He asked curiously.

Willy smiled. "You'll see in a moment."

Yin waited patiently as Willy finished and showed him what he created. An origami rose. "For you." He said, handing it to Yin. Yin blushed lightly as he took it. "Thank you."

(Transition)

Days went by, and Willy Wonka was making more profit with his chocolate. The three chocolatiers were in the vault, berating the Chief. Fickelgruber started.

🎵Well, there's chocolate🎵

"I understand that." The Chief said.

Prodnose joined in.

🎵And there's chocolate🎵

"Totally true." The Chief agreed.

Slugworth came in, equally annoyed as his two colleagues.

🎵Only Wonka drives a hole right through our profilets🎵

Slugworth's secretary, Mrs. Bon Bon showed their profit charts. They were going down exponentially.

"Yes, but what I'm trying to tell you is that -" The Chief tried to explain, but he was interrupted by Fickelgruber.

🎵If we don't get on top of this, we'll go bust,🎵

The other chocolatiers joined.

🎵Choco-pocalypse!🎵

Fickelgruber added.

🎵We'll cease to exist🎵

The Chief finally got to talk.

🎵But fellas, you've never had chocolate like this🎵

He hands them each a Broadway chocolate, as they are called. They taste it despite their fury, immediately breaking into a joyful song and dance.

(Transition)

Willy and Yin are in the town square, back where it started selling from a little cart. A huge crowd surrounds the pair, buying chocolate as fast as they can.

The man, named Colin and Barbara, came out of the cathedral, just married.

Yin walked to the front of the cart, handing out chocolates to paying customers.

The pair were dancing, hand in hand, and spinning each other. Then they heard Larry, and then Noodle whistled. The police were in sight. Willy motioned Yin to go to the storm drain. Yin nodded and weaved through the dancing crowd to get to it. He made it and jumped down, landing on his feet. He saw Willy, who jumped down, closing the storm drain. Yin caught him. However, in Willy's panicked state, he didn't give Yin enough time to prepare to catch him.

So, when Yin caught Willy, the pair fell down, Yin on his back and Willy on top of him. The two groaned at the feeling.

"I'm so sorry, Yin. Are you hurt?" He asked, looking over and checking him for injuries. Yin sat up and placed a hand on Willy's shoulder.

"It's alright." Willy looked at the boy. Yin felt a blush bloom onto his cheeks. "I'm... fine." He said slowly. He got lost in Willy's hypnotizing hazel eyes.

The two stared into each other's eyes for a few seconds until Willy sighed softly in relief. "That's good." He got off of Yin, and offered his hand out to the young man.

Yin, flattered and feeling butterflies in his stomach, took Willy's hand. Willy pulled him up onto his feet and helped the boy dust himself off.

Once they finished, Yin looked at Willy with a big smile. "This is working out. I can't believe how successful this has been!"

"You didn't think it would?" Willy asked, looking a bit sad that Yin didn't believe in the plan.

Yin quickly shook his head no. "No, no, no. I was just worried about...."

"Worried about what?"

"You. I was worried about you. Getting caught by the police. I didn't want you to get hurt."

Willy's look softened at Yin's concern. "Oh, Yin, that's so sweet of you to think that." He took Yin's hands and gave them a squeeze. "But you don't have to worry. I'm a magician. They won't catch me." He said with a playful smile, reaching up and booping Yin's nose with his index finger.

Yin giggled at Willy's silliness. "I believe you." He said, returning the playful gesture to Willy. Willy scrunched his nose a bit at the action but laughed along with Yin.

It was supposed to be the anniversary gift of a lifetime. A symbolic representation of his hopes and dreams for your relationship -- dreams of a family, joy, and laughter filling the halls of your shared home. It was the perfect idea, until...

"I'm so sorry, sir," the assistant at the front apologized with a timid smile, clearly expecting an explosive reaction from her customer. "Someone came in and adopted him just this morning."

Joshua sighed, running a hand through his hair. "That's alright," he assured her. "I'm sure I'm not the only one who thought he was adorable." He could almost see the weight lift off the worker's shoulders as he chuckled sheepishly at his own comment.

As he walked out the door, his own anxieties began to fill his head. Maybe if I had gotten here just a little bit earlier... No. That wouldn't have worked because I had to go pick up flowers, and we had that early breakfast reservation... I guess it just wasn't meant to be.

Joshua had intended on surprising you with a puppy, building up to it with subtle hints throughout the last few weeks. Suggesting dog movies during movie night, asking about your childhood dog, even going so far as to play Bluey on the TV when you got home and then pretending to be clueless as to who put it on. (He had learned in his psychology class from college that subliminal messaging works wonders).

But, clearly life had other plans.

As he walked back home, he passed a gift shop that was just opening up. He had noticed it for a few weeks now, and had even talked to the shop owner who was working outside a few days ago, so he decided to go in and check it out.

"Joshua!" the shopkeeper greeted him warmly as the door chimed behind Joshua. The store was an eclectic collection of various knick-knacks and trinkets, all lined up tightly on the shelves in colorful array.

"Hey," Joshua returned. "Nice place you got here."

The shopkeeper grinned happily in response as he made his way toward where Joshua was standing, fiddling with a music box. "Thanks," he beamed. "Is there anything you're looking for in particular today?"

Joshua let out a sigh. "Yeah, it's me and my partner's anniversary today. I wanted to get them a puppy, but someone adopted him before I could."

The shopkeeper nodded in acknowledgement. "I see," he hummed. "Well, if you're interested, we have a selection of stuffed animals, and quite a few are dogs. It's not the real thing, but maybe you can consider it a placeholder?"

Upon considering this alternative, Joshua perked up quite a bit. "That's actually a great idea," he remarked. "Lead the way?"

The shelves were lined with various colors and textures of stuffed animals, and lo and behold, there was one of a Jack Russel Terrier, the same dog he wanted to bring home earlier today. He eagerly handed it to the shopkeeper for checkout and walked out of the store with a skip in his step.

However, before he could unlock the apartment door, he could hear hushed voices from the other side. One was definitely yours, but the other... was not.

"Shh, you have to keep it down, he'll be here any minute now," your voice nagged.

Before he could let the intrusive thoughts intrude, he opted instead to unlock the door, to find you sitting by the kitchen island, on the floor with your hands suspiciously behind your back.

"Hey...?" Joshua called tenatively with a questioning look.

"Hey yourself!" You called a little bit louder to cover up the sound of something... squeaking?

As he walked closer to you, he could also hear the soft pitter patter of footsteps behind your back, despite your attempts to hide them.

"Is that..." Joshua began, his eyes widening.

"Surprise?" You replied sheepishly as you moved your hands away from your back, finally allowing him to see the excited Jack Russell Terrier who was itching to see his familiar face.

Joshua couldn't hide his excitement as he sat down in front of you, letting the puppy crawl onto his lap. "How did you even know?" he asked incredulously.

"Well, you're not very subtle," you replied smugly. "You've been dropping hints for the last month that you want a puppy. I noticed." Joshua laughed and leaned over to press a kiss against your cheek.

"Did you now?" He teased as you nodded in response. So his plan did work, just not the way he thought it would. "How lucky am I that the love of my life is not only insanely hot, but insanely smart too?" He wiggled his eyebrows at you, causing you to chuckle in response.

"I'd say pretty damn lucky," you replied as the puppy ran back and forth between the two of you, clearly excited to be part of this small family.

"I'd say so too. Happy anniversary."

I have a few ideas if you like, I'm gonna drop them here and you decide which to use, or if you want to write both🥰😂

Like one is with Robin, if you feel like write for her. Basically the reader always goes to family video and obviously Robin has a huge crush on her, so Steve, being the great friend he is, decides to handle the situation and talks to the reader to set her and Robin up. Unfortunately Robin thinks the reader has a thing for Steve, but at the end she found the reader waiting for her when her shift is over (?)

The other idea is. A good Eddie x shy!Reader, where she's always at the library and he "happens" to be there as well and looks her way, until one day he finds you talking to Dustin so he immediately ask him about it.. sort of😅

“Okay, this is one of Robin’s favorite films” Steve said, grabbing Dr. Zhivago and handing it to you. “You can bring it to the counter, and I guarantee you, she’ll go on and on about it and-”

“This is a double VHS” you said, grabbing the movie. “This movie is so long it has two VHS, Steve! Like The Sound of Music! I don’t do double VHS, Harrington!”

“Yeah, I know” he sighed, rolling his eyes. “But it’s what she likes because it’s about doomed love.”

“Well, that’s inspiring” you said sarcastically. “Okay, fine” you gave in.

“Just be sure not to choke when you talk to her-”

“And just how am I supposed to do that, Steve? Every time she looks at me with her beautiful eyes I just completely forget how to talk and- oh my God! This is useless! I am too nervous to say hello!” you started rambling.

“Oh my God, you two are like meant for each other. Just go over there and talk to her!”

“And say what?”

“Hello? I mean, what’s the worst that could happen?”

“She could hear me!”

“And then what?”

“I could die!”

“You are being ridiculous, did you know that?”

While you discussed with Steve, Robin stood at the counter, glancing at you two.

“You know, you can just… talk to her, right?” Nancy said, snapping her out of her thoughts.

“For what? So she can tell me all about her big crush on Steve?”

“I honestly don’t think she has a crush on Steve” Nancy tried to convince her.

“How would you know?”

“I don’t think they’re each other’s type” she insisted, shrugging. “But you’ll never know if all you do is look at her and never talk to her” she told Robin.

“I’d rather keep my distance” she sighed, looking back at you as you laughed about something Steve had said.

“Well, if you keep doing that, how will she ever know that you have a crush on her-?”

“Shhh! For fuck’s sake, Nancy! Could you keep it down? She could hear you!”

“Are you two talking about Robin’s crush?” Eddie said, coming out of nowhere.

“Great! Munson knows? Did you tell him?”

“I would never!” Nancy said, offended.

“Please, give me some credit, Buckley, it’s not like you’re not completely obvious about it” he laughed.

“Eddie!”

“Wait, what? Is that true? Is it obvious? Do you think she knows?”

“Of course not-”

“She probably does” Eddie said at the same time, earning a slap on his arm from Nancy. “What? It’s not like it would be a bad thing! She likes Buckley too!”

“How do you know that?” Robin asked, seriously.

“I just do” he smiled at her.

“You’re overthinking this. Just go over there and talk to her!” Steve insisted.

“Oh, am I? Okay, if this is so easy for you, why don’t you just go there and talk to Eddie, huh?” you smirked when his cheeks blushed.

“It’s not the same thing” he muttered.

“It’s the exact same thing, Steve” you glared at him.

“Okay, fine. I’ll tell you what. You ask Robin, and I’ll ask Eddie” he smiled at you. You arched your eyebrow at him.

“You’re bluffing” you chuckled.

“I’m not” he insisted. “You ask Robin out, I’ll ask Eddie out” he stated.

“What if I end up asking Robin out and you don’t ask Eddie out?”

“I’ll pay for your first date with Robin” he told you. “Anywhere you want!”

“S-seriously?”

“Yeah” he nodded.

“Huh, why now?”

“W-what? What do you mean?”

“I have been coming here for weeks now. You have known of my crush on Robin for longer. I have been encouraging you to ask Eddie out for months and now all of the sudden-”

“Okay, fine!” Steve said, pulling you towards one of the furthest aisles, which didn’t go unnoticed by Robin. “This guy keeps coming in here and flirting with Eddie” he said, frustrated. “I don’t like it, okay?”

“Aw, are you jealous, Stevie?”

“Shut up” he glared at you but you noticed he was blushing. “Look, it might… help me knowing that we can either both strike out-”

“Love the vote of confidence-”

“Or finally go out with the people we’ve been wanting to for months!”

“That doesn’t even make sense! What if Eddie agrees to go out with you but Robin doesn’t want to go out with me?”

“What if it’s the other way around? Look, we both have the exact same thing to lose here so… what do you say?”

You turned around to look at Robin, who quickly looked away when you locked eyes with her, and you took a deep breath turning back to Steve.

“Okay, fine” you decided.

“Really?”

“Yes!” you said, getting anxious but excited at the same time. “I’m doing it! I’d rather know now than keep waiting for God knows how long” you explained.

“Okay!” Steve smiled. “We’re doing this!”

“Don’t leave me hanging, Harrington!” you asked, putting your pinky out. Steve laughed but linked his.

“We’re doing this!” he said before he pulled you in for a hug.

After a very long shift, Robin grabbed her things and said goodbye to Steve. She was making her way over to her bike but she dropped her bag when she saw you standing there. Talking to yourself.

“Hey, um-”

“Ah!” you jumped a little when Robin tried to talk to you. And then, you felt even more anxious when you saw she was there. “Robin? Robin!” you laughed. “Hi!”

“Um… hey” she chuckled. “Are you okay?”

“M-me? Yes! I’m fine” you chuckled, nervously. “Uh I mean, I think I’m fine. I’m just trying to convince myself that what I’m about to do is a good idea, you know? Because it is. Unless it ends up blowing up in my face, then it will just be humiliating, right?”

“I… guess?” Robin said, a bit confused. “Um… if you’re waiting for Steve, his shift doesn’t end for another hour-”

“S-Steve?” you frowned.

“Yeah, isn’t he who you’re here to see?”

“No!” you blurted out a little too quickly. “I uh- I’m not here to see Steve, why would I be here to see Steve?”

“Um… because you have for the past few weeks?” Robin laughed, still confused.

“No, I haven't!” you frowned. “W-wait, do you think I’m only going to Family Video just to see Steve?”

“Well, you wouldn’t be the only girl in Hawkins that does” she said, sounding a bit annoyed.

“I don’t come in to see Steve” you said defensively.

“Really? I mean, you don’t have to lie about it” she laughed. “Sometimes you come in like three times a day” she pointed out.

“You count how many times I come in?” you asked, feeling your heart flutter.

“I uh- I d-don’t” she stuttered, but you noticed a hint of blush on her cheeks.

“Robin, I don’t…” you sighed, running a hand through your hair. “I don’t come into Family Video that much” you laughed. “I m-mean, I do! B-but um- it’s not to see Steve” you insisted.

“Really?” she asked, still not believing you. “So, I’m supposed to think that you just like movies that much?”

“I could?” you tried. “Okay, n-no. Nobody does” you admitted. “B-but I did come in t-to see someone-”

“Eddie?”

“What no! Gross, he’s like my brother!”

“Well, they are the only two that have been working with me whenever you come in-!”

“Exactly! Who’s the third person?!”

“There is no third person it’s just them and…” you saw her face change when she finally realized it. “M-me” she finished. “Is it me? You’re coming in to s-see m-me?” she asked, still not wanting to believe it. You nodded, looking away, feeling the ounce of confidence you had leaving your body. “B-but you never even talk to me!”

“Yes, I do!” you argued. “I talked to you today when I rented the Dr. Chicago movie!”

“It’s Zhivago” she laughed adorably.

“That’s what I said” you insisted. “L-look, I’m sorry, I know I haven’t talked to you that much. I just… I was trying to get the courage to talk to you. S-so I asked Steve what some of your favorite movies were so I could talk to you about them, but I always got too nervous because you always looked too pretty, and then Steve convinced me that I finally asked you today he will ask Eddie so-”

“Wait, Steve is asking Eddie out? Finally? My nightmare of them eye-fucking each other is finally over?” she smiled. “Wait? Did you say I was pretty? And what do you mean you had to finally ask me-?”

You took a deep breath and left out a frustrated grunt that Robin actually found cute. “I have been trying to ask you out” you muttered, looking away from her.

“Y-you what?”

“You don’t have to say anything. And if you hate me I completely get it, I just- Steve said… I don’t know! I thought-”

“I don’t hate you” she said, making you look back at her. “I thought… I thought you liked Steve” she shrugged.

“I don’t” you smiled, nervously. “N-not that way. Not the way that I like you. Um, I mean, I l-like you a lot. Like more than a friend. Like, um, I would like to ask you out on a date b-but I totally get it if you don’t-”

“I’d like to go on a date with you” Robin said, smiling and getting closer to you.

“Y-you would?” you asked, letting out a sigh of relief.

“Yeah, I would. I really would” she smiled. “Um, for what is worth” she said, stepping even closer. “I d-did count the times you came in” she said sheepishly.

“You did?” you asked smiling as she nodded. “Are you going to kiss me? Are we about to kiss-?” Robin simply leaned in, cupping your cheek with her hand and bringing your lips to hers.

You felt like you were floating on air until you were rudely interrupted.

“Hey, ladies!” the two of you jumped apart and looked back at Eddie at the entrance of Family Video with a big smile on his face. “Double-date with me and Harrington! This Friday!”

“Eddie, get back in here!” you saw Steve pulling him back inside.

“We’re not… really going on a double date with them, are we?”

“No. No, we’re not” you assured her. "No double date!"

“Good” she smiled at you before kissing you once more.

"And no double VHS!"

"What?!"

The Proposal

Pairing: Sugardaddy Loki x female reader

Warnings: bit of angst, mutual pining, drugging, kidnapping, Amber (she's a whole warning all by herself)

Summary: Thor tries to get information from Loki as you are invited to a movie night....

**this one's gonna feel a bit longer probably because I added text messages 😁😁

Part Sixteen-

You woke Monday morning feeling anxious, like this bad feeling was hovering over you. You shook it off getting dressed heading to the kitchen for coffee. You checked your phone seeing Loki had text you sometime during the night "Darling, I'm sure your sleeping, or you should be. I only wanted to check in. Remember to call me if you need. ~L~." You smiled reading the text seeing it was from two in the morning you text back "what were you doing up so late? You need sleep too you know. I'm doing ok, I will call if I need to, I promise." You hit send grabbing your purse heading to school.

Your day progressed much like your morning, you felt antsy, on edge..like something was going to happen. "Hey y/n! How are you?" You heard looking up seeing Amber walking over "Oh hey, I'm good, just tired." You said rubbing your eyes. "You look like you need a break, do you have plans tonight? Maybe you could come over and watch a movie." She said smiling. You thought about it a minute, you were a bit wary of her since your coffee date but she seemed pretty harmless "yeah, I do need a break. That sounds fun." You smiled "great, let me give you my address." She said grabbing a pen writing it down. "Say about seven?" She asked handing it to you "sounds great, see you then." You smiled as she walked off.

You cleaned up your station getting ready to head home when your phone went off-

You couldn't help but laugh making everyone look at you. "Sorry." You said aloud as everyone went back to what they were doing. You responded back smiling wondering who taught him how to use emoji's-

You put your phone away smiling, his wit was one of the many things you adored about him. You couldn't help wonder what an actual relationship with him would be like. Cuddling on the couch, weekend trips to who cares where...you sighed knowing you would probably never have that with him. You grabbed your purse heading home to get ready hoping that miracles do exist.

"Who are you speaking to brother?" Loki heard Thor ask as he put his phone in his pocket "no one that concerns you." He said pushing past him "you misunderstand, I only wonder who has made you so.....happy." Thor said following him "you would do good to stay out of my affairs brother." Loki hissed looking at him. "Loki please.." Thor said grabbing his arm stopping him "I know we have not had the best relationship.." he started "that's an understatement.." loki mumbled hearing Thor sigh "yes, well i want to be here for you, I only wish for you to be able to speak to me about things as we once did." Thor said watching him.

Loki sighed crossing his arms "so you wish to pry as Odin did." He said flatly glaring at Thor "no, I only wish to be the brother I should have been." Thor said "I understand I have treated you poorly before, but I only wish for you to allow me to be a part of your life." Thor told him. Loki sighed dropping his arms "well, I do appreciate your honesty Thor, i shall consided it. And as far as who I was talking to.." Loki trailed off trying to decide what he should say "they do make me happy, and i am.....surprised by it." Loki said walking towards the common room. "How so?" Thor asked following him "I have never felt this way, about anyone. You know my past Thor, I am not known for my monogamy." Loki smirked walking into the kitchen.

"Oh I know it well, stories of your exploits flooded the realm in our youth." Thor laughed sitting on the bar stool. "Well i...I cannot think of being with another, nor them. I have this....need to be with them." Loki said setting the kettle on the stove. "It sounds like you are in love brother." Thor smiled "don't be preposterous, me..in love?" Loki snarked grabbing a mug. "Let me ask you this brother, if something were to happen to this person, what lengths would you go to to ensure they are taken care of?" Thor asked watching him. "I would burn all the realms to ash, and kill anyone who stood in my way." Loki said sternly seeing Thor's smile widen. "Do not look at me like that." Loki said filling his cup "my only advice to you brother is don't fight it, you deserve happiness." Thor said standing up.

Before Loki could rebuttle Thor strode from the room leaving him with his thoughts. Did he love you? He knew he wanted to be with you every minute of the day, you haunted his dreams at night...but love? He leaned on the counter contemplating Thor's words, love was never an emotion he was afforded in his life, moving from bed to bed he had always kept his emotions locked away, and could you ever love him in return. "Hey Rudolph? Having an existential crisis?" Tony asked pulling him from his thoughts "Stark...you would do well to hold your tongue lest I cut it out." Loki snapped storming from the room. "Well ok then." Tony said going to the fridge. Loki walked into his room, sitting in his chair he decided to take his own advice, he needed to tell you how he felt and pick up what pieces may fall.....

"Hey! You made it!" Amber said stepping aside letting you in. "Thanks for inviting me, I do need to clear my head." You said watching her close the door locking it. "We all need a break now and then. Come sit, I was about to make popcorn." She said guiding you to the living room. You weren't sure what movie it was, you couldn't focus as your mind kept wandering back to Loki, how he was so caring with you, staying the night, making you breakfast. You sat back thinking about your arrangement, realizing he had broken almost every one of his own rules making you smile.

"Ooo, who are you thinking about?" Amber asked looking at you. "Hm? Oh..no one." You laughed sitting up. "Mm...I don't believe you. That's the look of a girl in love." She smiled eating a piece of popcorn. "Well...ok there is someone, but.." you trailed off looking down "I don't think he would ever feel the same about me." You sighed running a hand through your hair "nonsense your a catch, he would be a total idiot if he didn't." She said making you laugh "thanks, I'm not that great though." You smiled. "Well, I think you are." She smirked making you feel a little uneasy. "Did you want some tea or anything?" She asked standing up. "No, I should probably go, school tomorrow and all." You smiled standing. "Oh come on, just have one cup with me and you can go." She smiled widely "ok, just one." You said seeing her bounce up and down "ok, you sit I'll be right back." She smiled running to the kitchen.

She came back shortly with two cups and some sugar on a tray "here, this ones yours." She smiled handing it to you. You took a sip grimacing at the bitter taste "here, I may not have sweetened it enough." She said sliding the sugar to you. Adding a few teaspoons didn't really make it better but you didn't want to be rude so you hurried and downed it. "Well thank you for the invite and the tea, but I think I should probably head home." You said setting your cup down "aww already? Can't you stay a bit longer?" She asked setting her cup down. "No, I really should get some rest, i had a long weekend." You smiled. You went to stand up feeling light headed "are you ok?" She asked grabbing your arm "yeah, I'm fine. I think im just..." you trailed off, your head feeling fuzzy. "Here, sit down." Your heard her say but it was muffled.

You sat down rubbing your temples feeling your eyelids droop "i...I really...i..." you started when your vision began to tunnel, dark spots appearing at the edge of your vision. "M..my p..phone...call...lo..." you tried, your tongue heavy in your mouth. "Oh, you won't need that." You heard, looking up seeing Amber standing over you smiling "w..what are you.." you trailed off. Trying to stand your legs gave out as you fell to the floor. You watched as Amber kneeled down looking at you "don't worry y/n, I'll take good care of him." She smiled as the darkness enveloped you.

Loki sat in the common room reading, looking up seeing it was past midnight he pulled his phone out to make sure he didn't miss your message when Thor walked in "Brother, what are you doing awake?" He asked but Loki kept looking at his phone "is your device working Thor?" He asked suddenly looking up at him. "I believe so. Let me see." He said pulling it out he dialed Loki's number hearing it ring. "Hmm...odd." loki said setting his phone down. "What troubles you?" Thor asked sitting down. "Well, the..person we spoke of earlier was supposed to text me when they returned home and they have not, it's not like them." Loki said looking at Thor. "Maybe they were tired and fell asleep? Try calling them tomorrow, I'm sure all is well." Thor said smiling. "As much as I hate it you are probably right. I shall try tomorrow." Loki sighed setting his book down.

He got up heading to his room "and loki, I meant what I said earlier, I am happy for you, and if you need to talk i am here." Thor said as Loki nodded and left the room. He made it to his floor opening his door he pulled out his phone again, still seeing nothing from you. He sat on the bed deciding to text you "Darling you have probably fallen asleep but I wanted to check in. Message me when you get this. ~L~" He typed setting his phone on the nightstand lieing down. It wasn't like you to not check in with him, you were diligent about it. Remembering what you had told him earlier about feeling anxious made him a little uneasy but he was confident you would call if you needed him. He closed his eyes trying to rest hoping he would hear from you soon....
