grief is kinda weird

idk how to like. say this properly but i've been rereading a lot of old dgm fanfiction and stumbled across a piece about lavi written by msylvatica, or sonnenkoenigen as I knew her on tumblr.

the long and short of it was that we were friends on tumblr for a while, i fell out of touch with her in 2016, and she passed away in 2018 and i didnt know how to feel at the time it was just kinda this person was someone i talked to regularly for like several years

we bounced ideas off of each other and laughed together and i never even knew her real name

i knew she was sickly and often dealing with some kind of pain but I never knew about the cancer until i assume her housemate posted to her ao3 account about her passing

and i'm like

how do i honour someone i knew but didnt know? would she want me to? the last conversation i had with her was an argument and i keep thinking how i don't remember if we made up before she passed

i don't know if she'd want me to remember her in any way at all

i still write because of her

i try to be kinder to people online because of her

it took me 5 years to cry for her
