THIS MAN HAD THE LOOK OF RAGE AND HATRED IN HIS EYES. It was hard, tired. Some of it came off as clouded by something--an emotion she had all but lost the name of. Either way, she couldn't have mistaken his look for anything else even if she wanted to. Where it would've been enough to make a normal human flinch, she gazed back unfazed. In fact, she stared back into his eyes as if she recognized him, or something about him. Unfortunately, there was nothing immediately, or remotely familiar. This man was new--he was modern, if the clothes, speech and regional accent was anything to go by. It was her who was out of place; ancient and unholy. Monstrous and ill-fitting.

Her irises were silver and much too dark; the quality of them were reminiscent of cloudy skies during thunderstorms. Her complexion was an unnatural red instead of the brown she utilized for disguises (as she had been caught mid-cover up), and the outline of her frame--currently hidden beneath thick coats of Night that looked like black clothes from afar--suggested she had more of a bulkier build than most of the native women of this world. She was tall and had a thick neck with a protruding vein on the right side. "Do not believe everything you hear or read, Human."

...Human, human, human, her voice echoed.

As her mouth moved, the double fangs were visible. On both sides of her mouth, they were like that. With the disguise she's learned to take by watching the citizens of this country, they'd be replaced by boring, dull, flat teeth. But in her true form, they scraped and cut against the inside of her mouth and gums, sometimes getting caught in it and drawing blood. It led her to leave her lips partly open to prevent such obvious tells (cutting herself and healing, cutting herself and then healing--lapping it up with her tongue), but sometimes the disguise was more trouble than what was worth; it meant coming up with an alias, a fake background, mastery of a language or dialect she wasn't the best at--and speaking of that, this man already saw her. He witnessed the fangs, the feeding that happened before. Perhaps he didn't attack because the victim was someone who "deserved" death; a perfect victim who was a serial killer of young men and teenagers. Or maybe, she had him pegged wrong--and he was just an apathetic individual. "I have ways around my limitations," she said coldly, finally blinking. Another tell, accompanied by haunting echo of her voice that made it seem as if she was in an acoustic hallway. Even her body language seemed stiff and odd--like she's only been here for a couple of days, weeks or months.

She looked him up and down before her eyes met his again. She decided to show him her disguise anyway. Not as a display of goodwill, but to see his reaction. She revealed a muscular arm and moved some of her wavy hair out of the way which also showed that she had pointy ears (that were now rounded). She pushed the locks over her shoulders and returned her arm to the cloak. Within minutes--maybe shorter than that timeframe--she had become a less imposing woman, slightly shorter but still a head above him. Red skin became smooth and brown. Red hair became black and curly. Her beauty marks were more prominent instead of washed out. The Night remained as her only constant; it was now a dress, but perhaps a bathrobe with a deep V-neck was more accurate to say. The sleeves were large and extravagant, and the tail of the dress dragged on in the shape of bat wings. She walked towards him, hands by either side of her, but she didn't stop in front of him, no. She walked around him, circled him slowly. She sized him up to see if he was a Hunter of some sort. Yet, as her cautious eyes inspected him, she noticed there were no weapons. None that were visible to her naked eyes.

She stopped behind him and posed a question.

"How do you know of my kind?" ....kind, kind, kind.

She looked at him, her head atilt. Brightly colored (and luminous) acid green eyes twinkled in anticipation. She's been curious ever since she spotted him--or she was spotted, rather (?).

Regardless, as it was clear that she was an undead creature of the night, normally relegated to fairytales to regulate the behavior of misbehaving children, it was clear to her that he carried disdain for life itself and many living things that breathed and moved. She guessed somewhere between hatred and anger, but if it was something else, something shallower or deeper, she wouldn't complain.

After all, she shared the same feelings, whether he knew it or not.

"--And what will you do with such suffocating amounts of it?" It may have sound like she was flirting or teasing him--but she was not. She was genuinely curious. After all, it's not every day she came across someone like Eren, who was a clear and raw open book. The humans she met were all entitled and selfish, racist and judgemental. Self-righteous. She wanted to know if he was the same, or as different as the idealized version in her head was.

BUT NOTHING compared to what he had found out later in life. Eren had explained his entire childhood after reading that spook, spending those days with Armin. How much that boy was a light in his world of darkness, Armin gave him a reason, he gave him the spirit of hope to one day dream of leaving the walls to reclaim his freedom. He’s even mentioned finding Mikasa, living with her under the same roof like she was a part of the family. He’s even grown to love her even if she DID treat him like he was glass (besides the days where she’d just toss him aside to avoid bigger children). He explained the accident that led to the death of his mother (that i’m definitely writing off the fact he orchestrated it. I believe as it being a random chaotic moment is good enough) and how her death inspired him to kill EVERY titan in existence..every single one of those monsters will die.

Eren went into detail on how he found..a form of peace with the other cadets..Jean included. They were all survivors like him, different motivations yes..and whilst he treated them as eyesores when they failed to live up to his own motivations it did not change the fact that they became precious people in his life, friends he could put his trust in..even to this day his cold heart is warm for every one of them. Eren then spoke about finding his father’s basement and how he’s been plagued by ‘dreams’ from that day onwards, not only learning about the Marleyans through his father’s journal but LIVING those dreams..those memories past down to him from both Kruger and his father before him..the way his people had been treated..the way they were experimented on..the source of the titans..ALL OF IT. “They called us devils..we..people who thought they were the last ones around for so long, who’ve been sheltered from the real dangers of the world..I decided I would be the devil they feared so much…but something happened that brought me here..I opened my eyes to face my death..but I wound up in this reality..I’m not sure if this is maybe my world’s past..future, or a new world entirely..but human nature to oppress the weak was still as strong as ever here. This world deserves to burn and I’ll be the flame.” There was a fire in his eyes, a new target to unleash his anger and hatred on..these communists, force laborers, ALL OF THEM would feel his wrath. “But I’ll do it differently.”
