Seriously though like, why did our brain say “Hey you see Riku and how we have one of them? Yeaaah we have stress so like, you see how there are like 5 Riku clones in the source material? Lets just like, do that”

AND MADE ONE OF THEM LOOK MORE LIKE ME THAN ME AND TRY TO FIGHT ME OVER WHO IS REAL BECAUSE THAT WAS THE ONLY TIME EVER I WAS INSECURE ABOUT NOT LOOKING LIKE MY SOURCE XD

But really, its only an issue cause XIV and I both consider ourselves Riku which is a nightmare because we are both territorial as shit. Like fakedisordercringe is probably gonna post me like “uwu this person just wants all the rikus in their brain” or something but like, whatever I don’t care cause that comic was fun to draw, light hearted about an honestly really shitty two or three weeks of stress, anxiety, and identity crisises around the board that we look back in hindsight and laugh about.

Like again, XIV and I aren’t chummy but we can work with one another for the most part which is a lot and I’ve kinda come to like his presence cause he can be pretty helpful at filling in the gaps I don’t have skills in (go figure it’s like hes one of the closest direct other halves to a whole ‘Riku’ let alone whole person and is a dissociated part of things I couldn’t handle I wonder why he would fill in my weaknesses / lacking areas) and like, genuine appreciation post for the edgy asshole /affectionate

"Does she like blueberries?" Casie asks her dad.

They're in the kitchen making breakfast. Blueberry pancakes are Casie's specialty. Bacon is Colson's.

"I'm pretty sure... Only a crazzzzy person wouldn't love your pannycakes, Peanut." He reassures her with a smile.

Casie woke Colson up early with the idea of making Luna breakfast in bed. He willingly got up, doing anything his little girl asks if him.

"What's all this?" Luna ruins their surprise by walking into the kitchen.

"Luuuunaaa!!!" Casie whines. "You're supposed to stay asleep!!"

Laughing as she kisses them both good morning on their cheeks, she says she's sorry.

They're just finishing up. "Sit." Colson directs her. "You don't want me to grab anything?" She asks as she slides into a chair at the kitchen island.

"Nah, you're good. Sit. We got you." He beams at her over his shoulder.

Colson and Casie set up the breakfast table. There's blueberry pancakes, bacon, coffee and juice.

"FUCK. Of course they'd make blueberry pancakes. THAT is truly MY luck." She thinks to herself. Sometimes TRULY impressed with The Universe's sense of humor.

Colson and Casie are digging in as Luna makes a cup of coffee and munches on bacon.

Colson notices she isn't really eating. "Try the pancakes. They're Case's specialty." He encourages Luna.

"Dad says you're a craaaazzy person if you don't like my pannycakes." Casie tells her with sass.

"Fuck my life...." Her brain laughs. She squeezes her eyes shut as huge, embarrassed grin breaks on to her face. She opens them as the grin falls into a small smile.

"I'm allergic to blueberries." She says quietly, smile still playing on her lips.

"SERIOUSLY?" Asks Colson with a chuckle.

"Yeaaah..." Luna says sheepishly with a light laugh. "Like, carry an EpiPen because my throat will close up allergic."

"What does that mean?" Casie asks.

Colson and Luna look at each other for an explanation. Luna has it.

"It's not that I don't like blueberries, my body doesn't and if I eat them it will get really mad at me and not let me breathe." Luna cautiously explains her allergy to the little girl.

Casie looks at her with her eyes wide, pulling her pancakes closer to herself, in an effort to protect Luna. "So, your body is a crazy person?" She asks Luna leerily.

Colson and Luna burst out laughing.

"Yes, Sugar... My body's a crazy person." She agrees with Casie still laughing.

Just then, Colson leans over to Casie. "You know what I like to call her." He says to her, eyes wide.

"What??" She asks her dad intently.

"Looney Tunes." He tells her with a grin, glancing at a smirking Luna.

"Looney Tunes?" Casie is confused.

Colson explains the connection between Luna's name and the old cartoons they watch together.

"LOONEY TUNES!!!!" Casie giggles uncontrollably, once she gets the joke. "That's so funny, Daddy!!"

"You like that?" Luna asks her, chuckling herself.

"Yes." Casie answers with more giggles.

Luna looks across the table at Colson, laughing and shaking her head.

They finish up. Colson and Luna cleaning up the kitchen.

"LOONEY TUNES!!!!" Casie calls for her s somewhere in the house.

"And it begins...." She says as they both laugh. She kisses Colson before going to find the little girl.

"Yes, CasieDilla...?" She calls walking out of the kitchen to find her.

"They're so fucking cute." Colson beams to himself as he finishes wiping off the counter.

"CasieDilla?" The little girl laughs as Luna enters her room.

"Yeah, man. If I'm your Looney Tunes, you're my CasieDilla. I know your favorite food." Luna laughs telling her as she attacks her with kisses.

The little girl beams at the idea. laughing hard at Luna's kisses until until she releases her.

"What do you think of my outfit?" She asks as she spins on a circle.

She has on a purple skirt with a sparkly top and little combat boots.

"It's FANTASTIC!!" Luna exclaims "I LOVE IT." She tells Casie whole heartedly.

"Me too! I picked it out for you and Captain Marvel!" She tells Luna.

"It's REALLY cool!" Luna tells her, kissing her on the cheek.

"THANKS!!!!" Casie explodes happily. "What are you gonna wear??? Can I help you get dressed?"

"Sure!" Luna tells her. "I just need to shower first."

"Okay!! I'm gonna watch some TV. Tell me when you're ready!" With that Casie prances off out of her room.

"She's so fucking awesome." Luna thinks to herself as she goes to find Colson.

In the shower Colson bends her over quickly. They're trying not to get caught by Casie.

As he thrusts his dick in her deep and fast they both moan.

He complains that he's tired of fucking her in the shower.

She reassures him it's only one more day as she pushes off the wall. Slamming into him hard.

One hand around her throat and a finger in her mouth makes them explode easily. Luna dismissing his complaints.

Luna was going to dress simply in jeans and a T but Casie picks out a white dress with black stars speckled on it.

Casie had a lot of fun going through Luna's jewelry. Picking out every peice Luna's wearing.

She sits outside on the step smoking as she waits for Casie and Colson.

They come barreling out together, exclaiming in unison "WE OUT!!!"

Following them to the car, Luna laughs at Colson and his mini-me.

Grabbing popcorn, snacks and drinks they head into the theater

Casie plunked in between Colson and Luna again.

Throughout the movie Casie grabs Luna's hand as they exchange excited looks. They LOVE Carol Danvers.

Leaving after its finished, Luna asks Casie what her favorite part was.

Thinking, Casie replies. "When she stands up and says 'I'm only human.'

Luna's eyes well up. It was her favorite scene too. Scooping the little girl up with tickles and kisses, she tells her. "That's right, Dilla and we were born to go FAST!!" as she swings a laughing Casie around.

Watching Luna with Casie makes Colson's heart explode. "She's so good with her...." He thinks as his girls grab his hands, placing him between them. They make him skip through the parking lot with them. All three raging with laughter.

After the movie, they grab some food. Then head to the airport to Casie's dismay.

"You always have somewhere to gooooo, Looney." She tells Luna.

This breaks her heart.

"I know, Dilla. But I'll be back. And don't forget you're gonna go on TV with me and Daddy on Saturday!" Luna reminds her. " I need you to think really hard about what you wanna draw during it. Can you so that for me?" She asks Casie sweetly.

"Yes." Casie nods. Accepting her mission seriously to Luna's smile.

Walking Luna to the gate, Casie gives her a huge hug. "I'll miss you." They tell each other at the same time to Casie's giggles and Luna's kisses.

"What time is the interview?" Colson asks as they embrace.

"10A." She tells him as he makes a note of it in his head.

They exchange 'I love yous'. Luna promising to call when she lands. Luna dips down to hug Casie again.

"I love you, Dilla." She tells the little girl softly as she kisses her on the cheek.

"I love you too, Looney." Casie replies squeezing her tight.

Colson's eye catches a tear listening to them.

Luna stands up and pulls Colson in with them for a tight family hug.

They wave goodbye as Luna boards and blows them kisses before disappearing.

Walking away, Casie slips her hand into Colson's. Looking up at him, she tells him.

"I love her, Dad." Matter of factly.

He beams down at her and squeezes her hand.

"I know, Peanut, me too." He tells her.

Both missing Luna already.

It's a short 2hr flight to Minneapolis from Cleveland. She's going early to meet up with Ashley and rehearse Nightmare with her band.

Luna beats Ashley there. Checking into their room, she changes or of her dress and into loose jeans and a soft black shirt. She pulls out her uke and notebook. Sitting in the windowsill she fires up a joint and proceeds to fiddle around with a song she's been writing.

"Hmp... Not to bad...." She thinks.

Her thoughts are broken as Ashley bursts into the room.

"WHAT UP, BITCH!!" She exclaims to Luna's laughter and hugs.

1.09 History Repeating

The episode’s called “History Repeating”, so OBVIOUSLY it’s about the brothers, a perfect snapshot of their broken, broken relationship - with hints about just what parts of their history might come back around.  

This is the first episode with Alaric!  Despite being genuinely cool, he hits every single “new teacher trying to be a bro” trope like he’s checking them off a list: making fun of his name, telling the students they can call him Rick, and literally throwing the previous teacher’s files in the trash.  When explaining an extra credit history assignment to Jeremy, he literally says “make it sing”.  Rick.  That is not a helpful instruction.  

Stefan is giving Damon the cold shoulder...understandably...  Damon offers up a peace offering: coffee, to help with circulation.  I hereby offer a formal apology for making fun of the caffeine vampire fact two episodes ago.  It did in fact come back up again.  Show continuity, I should have had more faith in you.

Stefan ignores the coffee, so Damon offers a truly half-assed apology: “I got the town off our back, it was for the greater good, but I’m sorry, and to prove it, I’m not going to feed on a human for at least...a week?”  Shirtless Stefan, aka the Platonic Idea of Abs, wanders out of the closet and says “Because I realize that killing your closest and oldest friend is beyond evil and yet somehow...worthy of humor?”  Damon says, “Are you mimicking me?”  “Yes, Stefan,” says Stefan.  “Now that the secret society of vampire-haters is off our back, I can go back to my routine of ‘how can I destroy Stefan’s life this week?’”  Damon pipes up, “And I can go back to sulking, and Elena-longing, and forehead-brooding.”  And adds, “This is fun, I like this.”  “And I will finally reveal the ulterior motive behind my evil and diabolical return to Mystic Falls,” says Stefan.  “Yeaaah I’m done,” says Damon, then shifts back into dopey-Stefan voice: “That’s just like you Damon, you always have to have the last word!”  It’s a weirdly comfortable level of banter, given that Stefan was considering literally killing him one episode ago, but you get the feeling that this is the only way they know how to cope.  Plus, it’s a great bit, so I don’t even care if it’s out of character.  

Caroline yells at Matt for saying “hey” to her repeatedly, as it “reeks of awkward subtext”, and is a “lame guy move”.  He accuses her of reading into the same thing he’s said to her every day since the first grade, and says it’s a “lame girl move”.  I identify the heck out of the introspection spiral Caroline is clearly on.

Stefan tells Elena that he won’t be coming back to school; he’s gonna back off, keep his distance.  “Back off from school or from me?” Elena asks.  Stefan doesn’t answer, just says, “It’s better this way.”  “Yep, I got it,” Elena bites out.  “You’re angry, that’s good,” says Stefan, “it’ll be easier if you hate me.”  It’s condescending and paternalistic and I hate it.

Damon is still pestering Bonnie about the crystal.  “I’ll scream,” she threatens.  “Ohhhh noooo, don’t do that, let’s stay on point,” he says.  Started at the bottom...?  But it freaks Bonnie out enough that she tells Elena, and Elena tells Stefan, and Stefan promises to figure it out.

Jenna, staring at Alaric across the room: I like a man who can dine alone.  Quiet strength. Jeremy: I thought you were still in that Logan-depression thing. Jenna, in the Most Me sentence ever spoken: Oh, I’ve sworn off men forever, but it doesn’t mean I can’t observe them from a safe distance. 

Jenna says Jeremy’s dad had a box of stuff, the-Gilberts-came-over-on-the-Mayflower stuff.  This means the Gilberts and I have ancestors who were buddies!!  Or we would, if it was not Literal Historical Fact that my Mayflower ancestor was a terrific asshole whom No One Liked.

Stefan picks up the brother-impersonation bit again at the bar: S: So, Stefan! You know, I’ve been thinking. I think we should start over, give this brother thing another chance.  We used to do it oh-so-well once upon a time. D: I DON’T, Damon.  I can’t trust you to be a nice guy, you - you kill everybody, and you’re so mean...and...you’re so mean.  ...you’re really hard to imitate, and then I have to go to that lesser place.

Caroline, Bonnie, and Elena attempt to have a manicure night, but it turns into Bennet crystal drama, which I am 200% over.  “What is going on?” Caroline asks. “Why am I not a part of this conversation? You guys do this to me all the time.”  Elena says that’s not true, but Bonnie says it is - she can’t talk to Caroline, because Caroline never listens.  Caroline’s apology speech is fantastic: “It’s just not me.  I don’t believe in the *ooooohhh ghost noises*.  But if you do, then - okay.  I’m in.  That’s what it takes for me to jump on board, because I consider you my best friend, and I’m saying this knowing that Elena’s in the kitchen listening to my every word.  Look, I didn’t know how real this was for you, but I’m listening now, okay?”  I feel like this captures something important about Caroline - she’s not self-centered, precisely, she just assumes everyone’s seeing the same world she is, and placing importance on the same things.  But once she figures out that something is a big deal for her friends, it’s a big deal for her, too.  

Damon: I’m impressed, Stefan.  Fun with booze and darts, sentimental with football, and now: starry night.  ...what do you want, Stefan.  Stefan, seriously: It wasn’t real, Damon.  Our love for Katherine.  Damon, sotto voce: Oh, god.  Stefan, doggedly: She compelled us, we didn’t have a choice.  It took me years to sort that out, to truly understand what she did to us.  Damon: Oh, no, Stefan.  We are not takin’ that on tonight. Stefan: What do you want with Katherine’s crystal? Damon: How do you know about that? Stefan: Come on, you knew Elena would tell me. Damon: How’d you know it was Katherine’s? Emily gave it to her on her last night.  I was with her and you...weren’t. Stefan, defiantly: I was the last one to see her, Damon.  Now, what do you want with Katherine’s crystal? Damon, trying desperately to remain smug: She didn’t tell you? Stefan: We had other things on our mind. Damon: I could rip your heart our and not think twice about it. Stefan: Yeah, I’ve heard that before. Damon: I have a bigger surprise, Stefan.  I’m gonna bring her back.

OKAY SO ABOUT THIS.  First of all, how have they never talked about this before???  It has almost been one and a half CENTURIES.  Second: For someone who starts off trying to convince Damon that all the Katherine feelings weren’t real, Stefan sure seems like he’s still invested in which of them was loved by her more.  Instead of saying “I knew it was her crystal because she compelled me to be there that night and not tell you”, he says he was the last one to see her, like it’s some competition and he won?  And “we had other things on our mind”??  What are you doing?  This is a particularly dumb strategy because it’s CLEAR that Damon has not achieved ANY distance from the whole love triangle; his face when Stefan tells him he was with Katherine that night goes from this:

Shattered trust and suffocating inadequacy, to this:

You can SEE HIM deciding to play his last card, to finally one-up his little brother whom everyone loved more.  And then RIGHT BACK to the sudden-but-inevitable-betrayal look when Stefan basically says they were too busy having sex and bein’ in love to talk about jewelry.  EDIT: I just realized maybe Stefan did this on purpose to get Damon unsettled and angry enough that he would spill his secret?  If that’s the case, it was half brilliant but also insane...since unsettled and angry Damon, at this point in the show, tends more to violence than he does to truth-telling. 

Anyway, we get the tomb spell revelation.  “Did you know witches can use celestial events to draw energy into their magic - pssh, me neither!” says Damon, perfectly proving the point I made here.

This shot, of Jeremy being super pissed when he opens his front door and Elena and Caroline are standing there screaming? 

That’s how I felt through the whole seance sub-plot in this episode.  Also in aww-poor-Jeremy moments, he’s minding his business going through his dad’s boxes when his aunt and his history teacher come home like this:

The show is HEAVILY implying Alaric is a vampire, by the way.  He has a gaudy ring which he says belonged to his father (spoiler alert, that’s a lie), and he does the whole look-pensively-at-the-lintel thing while standing in the doorway.  “You know what, I’m not gonna invite you in,” Jenna tells him.  “Some other time,” says Rick, looking cocky as hell.

Emily Bennet possesses Bonnie and takes everybody to the woods, where Stefan learns there are multiple tomb vamps.  “I don’t care about them, I just want Katherine,” says Damon.  “This isn’t about love, is it, this is about revenge!” Stefan accuses.  “The two aren’t mutually exclusive!”  Emily-as-Bonnie destroys the crystal, despite Damon’s agonizing pleading, and then when Emily leaves, Damon attacks Bonnie. Stefan saves her; Elena gives Damon dagger-eyes which are somehow still a little...disappointed?

And here’s what’s arguably the biggest revelation of the episode, delivered by Damon, tears in his eyes: “Katherine never compelled me.  I knew everything, every step of the way.  It was real for me.”

Elena makes another bid for togetherness with Stefan: “I thought I couldn’t be with you, but I can!  You don’t have to push me away, I can do this.”  “I can’t,” says Stefan, and tells her he’s leaving town.  The back and forth is already driving me insane, and we’re only on episode nine.  Oh, long-form television and your contrived stalling.

Matt climbs into Caroline’s window to tell her “We cuddled, and it creeped me out.”  He needs to improve his communication skills.  But they figure it out, and then eat junk food in her bed, adorably.  Damon sits where Stefan left him, and stares into space, broken.  Stefan throws an old journal across the room and breaks down crying, looking like he’s finally lost control.  Elena confesses everything to a very shaken Bonnie.  And last but not least, Logan Scum-Bucket Fell turns up on the Gilbert doorstep, and asks, “Aren’t you gonna invite me in?”

Music Moments: Barcelona’s “Come Back When You Can” plays over the closing scenes, presumably referring to Katherine - “come back when you can / let go, you’ll understand / you’ve done nothing at all to make me love you less / so come back when you can”.

YeaaaahhhhHHHHHHHHHHHHHWhy I like themOh man let me count the ways... So Buu Saga Goten is the cutest little button in the world. Most kids that age are, I guess, but he’s such a sweetie. 

During the Gotenks vs Buu fight, Gotenks has a list of attack names that includes a lot of sweets... I have a suspect on which part of Gotenks’ brain had a hand in that. He’s up for a mischief and we know from Super he has a good social sense (advising his Dad on gifts for Whis). He seems like a “dive in headfirst” kinda person (from trying to get at the Dragon Balls Bingo prize at the start of Super without thinking things through) which can both cause problems but sometimes people like that are natural lateral-thinking geniuses. From EoZ and GT (I know I know GT’s not canon my HCs diverge from it too) Goten seems really chill and laid back to the point of possible detriment (lazy butt EoZ), interested in dating/likes people/very sociable. There’s so much potential there and my imagination goes wild on what to do with him in the group!

Why I don’t::shakes:: who are you? Why do we not know more about you? Am I correct? WHY ARE YOU SO TINY IN SUPERRRRRRR (I know why but whhyyyyyyyyy you’re thirteeeeeen) (loooots more under cut)

Favorite episode (scene if movie)I’m holding out for this Goten/Trunks/Marron filler in Super tbqh. That and the Goten vs Trunks fight for things like “KAMEKAMEHA” and that smartypants move of using a ki blast to change direction to pursue Trunks. Trunks may outwardly have a strategic mind but Goten has a more “gut-feeling” approach to things. 

Favorite season/movieBuu I guess! I watched one of the Broly’s recently and the Goten/Trunks bants had me rolling. Hoping to have more of him in future.Favorite lineIt’s a dub line and isn’t in Kai sadly, but it’s in one of the “Videl learns to fly” episodes. Goten’s chasing after a frog and says “Come back, you villain!” The delivery is great and I quote it every time I drop something. Outside of dub in Super, Gohan trying to get Goten to wear the Great Saiyaman outfit and he just... 

kiddo’s growing up!Favorite outfitI love the long sleeves on him in Buu saga, but I really like the lack of sleeves on his gi in Super. I hope he keeps it as he gets older, with the black rather than blue undershirt. And the wee slippers instead of boots! OTP...............Yeaaah I’m Goten x Marron endgame still at the mo. HC as it being a rather ‘late’ development, Goten 30, Marron 26, so they’ve had time to develop into Responsible Adults (lol, Goten). I do see him as a solid user of DB-world’s version of Tinder/Grindr (matching GT a bit), but I see him legit just as happy to Netflix and Chill as... “Netflix and Chill”, seeing it as the exact same kind of fun rather than getting hung up on things.Had a few short relationships, but having to add “oh btw I have a friend [Gotenks, and by extension Trunks] I have to tell everything to is that okay?” is going to cut down on who’s going to spend a lot of time with him. The “yeah I have superpowers and my best mate is the richest guy in the world so how’s your day been?” conversation isn’t really something he can do that early on and people get pissed at his secrecy (he doesn’t care as it’s complicated to lie, but he’s protecting everyone else). And the one or two who did find out fixated on the powers thing, poor lad. Marron doesn’t though, they’ve always whinged at each other about life as they got older (Marron more relying on Goten than Trunks as they’re in the same city, even though Trunks is a good ear, too), and from Goten’s PoV it just happens. It’s convenient and comfortable that he gets to date a best friend this-is-the-best-idea-and-it’s-working-oh-my-god. In that way I see him approaching relationships like his Dad, really, the wider-world approach. BrotpGoten and Pila- OF COURSE IT’S TRUNKS. And Gotenks. Best boys. I see G and T like JD and Turk tbh. But...Because of Fusion I see their relationship as far deeper on some level than romantic ones would be. They spend time as the same person - it has to have a profound effect. Do I see it developing into Truten? Yeah for a bit, as I like exploring “what if” ideas, but not for long because it would wind them both up so much the way I picture them. Still, in the few months I headcanon Goten dead they’re both very lost without the other to bounce off of.Headcanon Goten can’t focus his ki sharp enough for swords, so Goku fetches Nyoibo from Korin which he end up being very VERY good with. He keeps it shrunk in his left ear (so Gotenks can withdraw it with sword simultaneously), later with actual piercings to keep it fixed in place, looking like an industrial piercing. Chichi went SPARE at him, of course. “My son! The deliquent!”Continuing the gag from DB with his dad, Many of the reports from the Junior Division of the Tournament have written his name in katakana and have just... completely messed up reading the kanji from the board, listing him as a Magosaki, letting Goten escape press attention. It’s the same when he goes to college, the administration deciding to read his kanji as Mago Satoshi Takashi and it being on /everything/ in katakana and by the end of the week he just can’t be bothered. So he goes by Satoshi for three years, only remembering to fix it for graduation. This has the added benefit of people being unable to find Trunks’ ex-roomate to bribe in later years.At college he just kind of... follows Trunks since he really doesn’t know what to do (T taking a working gap year so they can start together). He ends up learning how to cook sweets and bakes to feed his sweet tooth (his fave sweet is strawberry daifuku!) and is really good at working with his hands --> realises people are super happy when he tailors food for people and that makes him happy --> ends up opening a desserts café, named Paozu Place in honour of his parents and home, as of course he misses the country in the city. The gimmick being he’ll ask you a set of bizarre questions and will pick and modify what’s on offer to make you the perfect sweet/drink combination. Really, he’s reading from people’s ki, but shuuush ;).He has two perma members of staff, both languishing teens at the time he p much adopted them, same with the building, it was pretty run-down but he fixed it up with some help. It’s only when one of them jokes “are you an alien, boss?” and he returns with a whopping “it’ll cost ya fifty points”, that things start getting serious.
