Girls Game Award 2018

It’s an award held by Dengeki Girls Online that’s just announced 3 days ago. I translated some of the IDOLiSH7-related results and comments by i7 staff and KENN (Yotsuba Tamaki’s VA)!

IDOLiSH7 won the 1st place “App Game” award

i7 staff: We are so happy to receive such an honorable award. This year, app “Ainana” will celebrate its 4th anniversary, and it’s thanks to everyone it could get the 1st place in this award. Just like the 3rd-anniversary catchphrase, “LIGHT FUTURE”, we will keep heading to future, and deliver lots of surprises to everyone!

People’s comments:

It’s been a long time since I fell into a game this deep. I’ve only played action games before reaching a series for girls like this for the first time. I tried other games, but above all, Ainana is the only game I’m into for the longest time. It’s literally a swamp.

The scenario, characters, system, everything is superb. There’s no reason to not vote for i7.

KENN (Tamaki’s VA): Not just those who want to be idols, each of the characters has their own drama. Every character’s deepest parts are written so well, and the songs are excellent. This series has so many charms. For those who haven’t touched it, I highly recommend you to try to play.

IDOLiSH7 won the 2nd place “Scenario” award

KENN (Tamaki’s VA): Even I, one of the voice cast, am really curious about the story’s continuation! I really am. Every time I go to the recording studio and get the scripts, I had to hold myself from asking what will happen. I do get how the readers’ feel, and I hope they continue to enjoy i7.

The bittersweet lyrics and KENN-san’s way of singing sounds like Tamaki has moved on with his life. His way of singing hints that it’s not the present Tamaki who sings this song, but Tamaki from several years from now.

It’s Tamaki’s solo song released on his birthday, it fits him so well. It must be hard to sing it, but KENN-san did a wonderful job! Thank you very much!

KENN (Tamaki’s VA): To be honest, it’s not my way of singing that should be praised, it’s Tamaki himself. I was just going along with him, not doing much.

Well, before I recorded, I discussed the song with the director, and he said “How about singing like the future Tamaki is looking back to his past (the present Tamaki)?” so I went with it. I think those who have read the latest main story would feel the deepness more, so it may be good to compare listening to it before and after reading the story.

And actually, I changed Tamaki’s way of singing gradually following the main story to show his growth. I hope people enjoy it. I am so happy to get the best 2 places with Sou-chan. Please support i7 from now on too!

TRIGGER behind the scene 2

TRIGGER manager Anesagi Kaoru VA (Kawahara Yoshihisa) gave pink, blue, and white rose bouquets to TRIGGER casts.

Beside the Road To Infinity rehearsals held by official i7 staff, TRIGGER casts called each other and practiced together on private. On their off days.

IDOLiSH7 and Re:vale casts tweeted about their rehearsals, but TRIGGER casts didn’t post any pictures or say anything about their rehearsals on purpose. Because they knew TRIGGER is absolute king and never let the fans see them behind the stages.

That makes the pressure higher because they must not make a miss when performing onstage...

There was a time when Satou Takuya (Ryuu’s VA) stopped singing. It’s NOT because he forgot the lyrics, TRIGGER’s intense dances made them sweat and Satou’s mic fell off because of it. However he didn’t stop singing and keep dancing even harder.

After TRIGGER’s performance ended, the three of them hugged and cried together :”)

Gaku: Nah, we didn’t... Look at this.

Mitsuki: What is this… a scratched LastDime CD!? It’s covered in blood too……

Gaku: Not just this. There were hand-shaped bloodstains on the refrigerator……

Tamaki: Gyaaaa---!! No more! I’m going home!!

Sougo: T-Tamaki-kun. Even if you wanted to, the door is locked.

Tamaki: Sou-chan, open it!! Don’t you have your screw driver!?

Yuki: …… That’s so cliché……

Momo: Too cliché… Hard to follow but, there’s no choice.

Momo: W-What…!? Keeping us locked here, Phantom, what exactly are you!?

Yuki: Calm down, Momo!

Momo: I can’t calm down, not now!

Riku: …… It’s okay! Re:vale-san, don’t be scared! I will ask him!

Riku: Phantom! You locked all of us here, what are you trying to do to us!?

Phantom: Fufufu… First, you shall watch this.

Ryuunosuke: A projector just turned on! …… The news…?

Tamaki: Aah!! I watched this! Didn’t we? Manager, Ban-chan!

Ogami Banri: That’s…! The news about the discontinued King Pudding! It was a mistake, and they corrected it immediately, right?

Iori: Everyone in Japan will panic if you do that!

Phantom: You cannot escape from here. TRIGGER. You will participate in the following game I made.

Phantom: Let’s make this the worst party of your lives.

Yaotome Sousuke: …… What the hell is that… Anesagi, did you know anything about this!?

Anesagi Kaoru: I-I don’t know anything!

Tenn: …… What game? What do you want from us?

Phantom: You must give an answer to my question that will satisfy me.

(3) Iori usually speaks using difficult kanjis but he uses Japanese sfx like fuwa and howa (SFX for a warm and soft object.) that makes him sounds stupid lol. IORI ALWAYS CALL RIKU OR TSUMUGI CUTE BUT HE IS THE REAL CUTE

I personally wish they would add more lines for tsumugi in this story *looking at bamco and tsutsumi bunta*

(1) *part 3 spoiler* do you know how much I cried at this line knowing yamato spent his young days not believing in anyone SOBS

(2) Freezing a CD can actually remove scratches on a CD. By placing a damaged CD into the freezer for several hours and then letting it thaw to room temperature on its own and removing any excess moisture afterwards will fix the CD. When small ice layers forms in the scratch, this will allow the laser to read the song normally and it basically won’t read the scratches anymore and play the CD like normal. (TBH I didn’t know this until Sophia told me hahaha thanks!)

(3) One arm shoulder throw is a judo/sumo move.

ANINANA Advance Screening event report

Free Talk Each member talked about their favorite scenes from the first 2 episodes. Masuda (Iori), Shirai (Yamato), Abe (Sougo), and Kensho (Riku) chose the last scene, IDOLiSH7’s first live. Wing (Mitsuki), KENN (Tamaki), and Eguchi (Nagi) chose the basket scene.

Questions for Bessou Producer Masuda, KENN, and Kensho asked the producer, “Is there any original scene in the anime? do you pay attention to particular thing in the making of the anime?”. Bessou Producer answered that there are not many original scenes from the anime because he wants to keep the in-game story as it is.

Then, Wing pointed out Riku’s acapella scene in episode 2. Apparently, it’s not a cut from the original MonGene song, Kensho sang it when the casts recorded for the anime. “Riku has great singing abilities so I felt a bit pressured that time,” said Kensho. He tried the acapella over and over until he could sing it well.

Questions For IDOLiSH7 Casts Kensho (Riku) → Masuda (Iori) “Who do you think is the cutest among Ainana casts?” Masuda’s answer was Shirai. Shirai: “You guys teased me all the time!💢”

Masuda (Iori) → Wing (Mitsuki) “What do you think whenever those younger than you say you’re cute?” Wing: “I’m happy!😄” Audiences: “Cutee~!!”

Wing (Mitsuki) → Shirai (Yamato) “How can you memorize lyrics and dance so fast?” When they sang Pythagoras☆Fighter in the 2nd fanmeeting, Shirai memorized the dance choreography faster than Wing and Eguchi. Shirai said that he watched the choreography he recorded and listened to the song many times before the 2nd fanmeeting.

Shirai (Yamato) → Abe (Sougo) “What happens when you’re drunk?” Shirai had never seen Abe drunk, and Sougo becomes troublesome when he’s drunk so Shirai was curious. Abe said that he becomes quiet, sleepy, and then falls asleep before he realizes it.

Abe (Sougo) → KENN (Tamaki) “Do you like spicy food?” KENN: “I couldn’t stand spicy food before, but I started to like it recently.” Abe: “Let’s eat spicy food together next time!“ KENN: “Let’s~♪”

KENN (Tamaki) → Eguchi (Nagi) “How do you practice your acting as Nagi?” Eguchi answered that he reads Nagi’s lines, tries various tones, repeats them, and decides which is the most interesting or fits the mood well. The other casts often give him ‘thanks for your hard work’ after he reads his lines.

Eguchi (Nagi) → Kensho (Riku) “What color of pants do you want me to wear?” Kensho: “…… Yellow (lol)” Audiences: *laugh*

Part 24 - Fabra and Cielo

A long time ago, in this world, humans and robot dolls lived together.

The robot dolls were there to help the humans. But when the humans started to use them as tools in wars, the robot dolls started to demonstrate their true values liberally. As a result, the world wars intensified, and everything was destroyed.

"We can't go on like this."

That's what everyone thought, and yet the world kept falling into ruin each day.

"We can't go on like this."

A robot doll researcher, Doctor ――, with their few trusted companions, started a project called the "Accordatura Project."

They forcibly put the few remaining humans to sleep. Meanwhile, the robot dolls replaced the humans, and repaired the environment so that humans could live there once again.

Their companions were divided into two groups,

One group utilized their brains and abilities, becoming a base for the robot dolls.

The other group believed one day, when they would wake again, they could lead the people so that war would never happen again. They remained human and fell into a deep sleep.

And then, when the tuning was over, and the environment was ready, the clock tower will become a music box.

With its sound, the sleeping humans will be awakened, and the robot dolls that have finished their 'duties' will fall asleep. So that they would never be tools of war ever again.

To play the sound of the music box, the 'duty' of two robot dolls with beautiful singing voices――

Cielo: ...... Hey, Fabra.

Fabra: Cielo. Are you alright now?

Cielo: There's one last thing I want to ask.

Fabra: How sudden. Well, it's the last one, right? I shall listen.
