Is Blue lock worth watching? From the description it's not like a typical sports anime but, I just need something fresh to cleanse my palette.

whats wrong with this show.....uncle junior stupid self thought he was on telly with bobby when its just a random scene of larry and jeff from curb your enthusiasm. im literally hyperventilating because im laughing so hard what the hell were the writers on but also old people are just like that and yeah its sad when they start slipping into dementia but also really fucking funny

all that have learned about the sopranos is that fundamentally marriage is arguing about money by the kitchen sink

janice....she was entertaining as hell and then she killed richie and  then stole the prostethic leg of her mothers caretaker because she wanted her mums record collections and got beaten up by the russian thugs the girl sicced on her and randomly found god in the emergency room and i screamed my lungs out because girl youre not ok and it only gets worse. she has a 19 year old fiance she abandons to make christian music with a geriatric she refuses to sleep with only to fuck the next nutcase who happens to work for her brother and is a taken man and immediately hates his guts when he breaks it off with his grieving missus so she freaks out about him wearing shoes indoors as he moves in and shoves him down the stairs and then hunts down and stalks yet another of her brothers associates who just lost his wife and passes off her sisterinlaws lasagna as her own i dont know what the fuck is wrong with her head but its distressing watching her antics

i don't know shit about cars, cant even drive one but here i am, utterly transfixed by f1 Netflix series. this is some high octane drama. three episodes in and im invested in these stupid little go-karts- i didnt even know they were go-karts with a rocket attached to them ive always been under the impression that they were CARS. the redbull (yeah, i did a double-take coz huh!) and renault beef is mesmerising. max fumbling his practice and Daniel winning the monte carlo grandpix with a faulty engine is something indescribable. will the williams racing team ever stop being a joke? will sainz mop the floor with his idol alonso? i cant wait to find out!!!

yeah...so station eleven destroyed me in the very specific way the leftovers did a few years back. its a masterpiece! they should just stop making television now and forever because nothing currently airing compares

watched adow over the holidays and it does a passable job at filling the empty hole in my heart that yearns for fresh vampire content but man is it bogged down by two central characters i do not care for at all. the actress is just there, no onscreen presence at all. matthew goode is doing all the heavy lifting and even then, im rolling my eyes, at matthew goode!!!  back in the day, i read the first two books as they came out but for the life of me, i have not retained a sinle plot point except for the fact that kit marlowe was there and was a gay daemon in love with matthew and working for the crown. i can admit that my dislike of the central love story is colouring my experience but i find almost every other character and every other plot point far more interesting than whatever diana and matthew got going on. the lore of the creatures? the mystery surrounding the oxford killer? the congregation politicking? the dynastic psychodrama? the science of it all? juliette mf durand? domenico? inquisitive and brilliant phoebe? miriam? i enjoy all of it. even matthew as the stern catholic patriarch, suffering from blood rage and culling his own son’s children is gripping but so much of the story is decidedly not about that.....which made s2 a bit of a chore to get through.

finally finished snb last night and whew boy. i went in blind ie never read the books, never watched a trailer and had zero expectations:
i quit after the second ep and came back to it a week later. the start was bloated and boring and just....exposition heavy.
inej, jesper, nina, matthias>>>>>genya, zoya, david >>>>> everyone else
dont get the kaz hype. yes hes the brains of the op but why would inej and jesper want to follow his lead when they’re infinitely cooler than him.
maybe thats why the kanej ship (my jam on paper) doesnt click with me yet. there’s something there - ‘i believe in myself and you’ i wasnt immune to that shit but it didnt grip me.
nor did darklina for that matter. it was so tame and perfunctory and without a hint of eroticism. intellectually i know why alina should be into the darkling hello ben barnes,  complementary powers, the light to his dark yada yada yada but i got nothing from her end.
and this is an alina problem thats tied to her overarching plot and her attitude towards her powers but thats for another day
not me being fascinated by general zlatan and the political landscape of ravka and the implications of what the fold being gone would entail....only for it to go nowhere.
i really do think the political intrigue was SORELY lacking. alina’s time in the little palace should have been longer. she should have uncovered the darkling’s secret on her own.
nina and matthias was the only dynamic, aside from inej and jesper, that actually interested me.
i LOVED them. so MUCH
i would be watching the a and b plots and thinking ‘ok but what are nina and matthias up to.’
and the betrayal!!! C H E F K I S S
the naming convention was doing my head in. its STARKOVAAAAAA
you could also tell they were to separate book series because the characters from soc were much more vibrant than the ones from snb
all in all, it was good fun. 7 out of 10.

not them telling us captain america is hip and down with the black folks because his girlfriend and his mate are black and that his highschool is predominately black. PLS
and here he comes recruiting sam and bucky as part of his entourage to further legitimize himself. its HILARIOUS. all that talk about them being assets buts all about the optics!

i really enjoy how involved and intimate the millers and the bakers are. it doesnt seem contrived. usually shows stick the parents of the teens together and call it friendship but i adore ellen and georgia’s fun and funny dynamic. i like that there are no boundaries and they just walk or climb into each others homes and have parties and family dinners together.
maybe its quarantine and im missing my family but this is like....one of the top 3 things i enjoyed about the show.

finished ginny and georgia and it was good wholesome popcorn telly with fun characters and good plot. It's not ambitious or tryhard. I love georgia and ginny. They are so painfully alike it's a delight to watch them butt heads. I'm so invested in ginny - I always fall for the difficult girls - and she is so good at it. she is so awkwardly teenage and dramatic. I love that her arc was a very grounded and nuanced cady from mean girls. I love that she goes from a loner to the high school sweetheart and back to the loner again. I love that she, unlike georgia, wants her brother to run away with her and is so protective of him. I love that she is capable of georgia-esque moves: scaring marcus with their secret fling, blackmailing her teacher, being composed enough to lie to the PI even after having her world rocked and then destroying the evidence to protect her mum.
She is messy and self involved and loving and kind. she wants a normal suburban life like the bakers and hunter and resents her parents for it. She wants to be loved by her friends and to fit in and would do literally anything for it. I love that she is yearning for her father who prioritises his relationship with georgia over her. She hates her mums men but also wants the best for her. She is a contradictory mess of a character.
she really stole my heart!!!
