Yakko: That's Blairs twin Lillian she has a knack for coding and computers, shes hacked into the wifi at least a dozen times, and yes they are named after 2 powerful women in the industry Lillian Disney and Mary Blair. Guess we should've known they'd be headstrong like them,

Max: And then there's Henri*motions to one glowering at the group from his chair in the corner* he has had a vendetta on life itself since he was born

Yakko: *mutters* scared the crap out of us because he didn't cry but yawned and refused to cry when he was born,

Yax, the How and Why:

Part 1: Why do people ship them?

Decided it was time I put together all my thoughts about why I think Yax works particularly well as a ship, and what they all bring to the table.

There's a lot to talk about here, and I'm going to try and hit at least all my big points. I'm also going to be looking at them from the standpoint of Goof Troop, and A Goofy movie, as well as the Og Animaniacs and reboot, Wakkos Wish, (even though that's out of universe for animaniacs) comics, and even the toys.

This is about to get really long, so I'll put it under a read more.

From a personality standpoint, they compliment each other's strengths and weaknesses so well.

Max is earnest and honest. He always has been.

From Goof troop where he wants so badly to do good things, and goes immediately to an adult when he messes up, to A Goofy Movie, where he goes so far to impress the people around him, to his want to do a good job in House of mouse. It's a constant whenever we see him on screen.

Max has seen a lot of growth through his shows and movies, but he's also been consistent. Goofy has clearly done an incredible job raising Max. Max is pretty open about his emotions. He doesn't hide them from his friends or family. There's a level of vulnerability that comes from that, and despite being bullied and picked on, he knows who he is, it only become a matter of insecurity getting other people to see that.

In A Goofy Movie, he doesn't worry about being good enough for roxanne. He says with conviction that "after today, she'll be mine". He doesn't doubt his own abilities. He's confident in what he does, and what he knows he's good at, like skateboarding.

Max is dramatic, he's flamboyant and a show off. He has made himself the center of attention on purpose before; as long as it's something he's well versed in and is confident he can impress with, he thrives. He loves to have that positive attention from big crowds. It pushes him forward.

He is also, and this is very important, a troublemaker.

He always has been, and not just in a well meaning sense.

In Goof Troop, he shows that he's the scheming type, he's the type to cause problems on purpose, just because it's fun. It's often the problem or the solution to several episodes.

Just like the Warners.

Now, these are never super harmful, he's a good kid at his core. He's kind and patient and understands his mistakes, but he's an absolute menace. He would have no trouble fitting in with patented Warner antics.

This next point is talked about a lot.

Max's issues and insecurities make for a fantastic story of growth with Yakko and his siblings. He's worried about being laughed at, at people hearing his laugh (something that is the best part of individuals and their expression of self) and worries about what other people think of it. This issue of his hits against Yakko's need to make people laugh.

They're complimentary. They're foils to each other.

Yakko is similar, but because of how he grew up, and the role he was forced into, he mirrors Max's traits as well.

Yakko is sarcastic, he undercuts a lot of sincerity with humor or hides it behind a veil of snark. He hides his feelings for fear of backlash. Unlike Max, who has his emotions on his sleeve, and has been encouraged to feel them openly from a young age.

Yakko's not able to be so open emotionally, because doing so has gotten both him and his siblings hurt.

Yakko is smart. He's tactical where Max is emotional. He schemes as well, as the spearhead and leader of the zany trio, but he sees more angles than Max does.

He does it out of self preservation in ADDITION to doing it to be a menace and for fun. He's the mastermind of the group, just like Max is to his own group. They're both the snarky personas. Yakko wants, NEEDS to make people laugh, his self worth is tied to it, it's what he was made to do. It's a source of anxiety for him, but also a source of joy. We've seen several instances of moments where Yakko falls back on his "Nations of the World" song, because he wants to make a good impression. We also have evidence of him stressing about his ability to perform in his sleep.

Being able to tell exactly how others are feeling helps Yakko pivot his plans and react in line to the antagonist. He has a hard time being sincere sometimes, prefers to keep himself protected.

But he also craves attention. Loves to be at the center of it, loves it more when it's something he's passionate in or prides himself with.

His jokes, his wit, his singing. His ability to sing and speak tongue twisters that nobody else can. All things he's confident in.

Yakko's strengths lie more in his mind, as opposed to Max's physical capabilities.

Together, they create a dynamic duo of mischief, being people with similar senses of humor, (we have seen both Yakko and Max tell almost identical jokes)they make each other laugh.

With strong senses of justice, they both aren't afraid to bring out the schemes on "special friends", or on people who deserve it; we see that a lot in Goof Troop.

Max is used to havoc. He's closely acquainted with it, he's been doing Goof Luck damage control since he was a small child, constantly being pushed to take the wheel of his dad's mishaps, sometimes very literally.

He would fit in seamlessly to the Warner's adventures, egg them on or do damage control. He's perfectly suited to fill in the space where he's needed, like a liquid changing shape to its container.

They're two sides of the same coin. They are opposites but they support each others weaknesses.

The emotional openness vs. The guarded emotions.

The need to make people laugh vs. The need to not show his laugh.

The physical vs. mental strengths.

Together, they gain inner and outer strength. They'll have someone to confide in, someone with much different upbringings and experiences than their own. Both in and out of universe.

But that's not really all there is to it, is there?

No, because family is so integral to both of their characters, we can't really talk about how good Yax is, and why it works, without talking about Goofy, Wakko, and Dot.

Yakko would never date someone, or even be friends with someone if they didn't like his siblings. Not just get along, like.

The Warners are "All for one, and one for all times 3". There is no talking about such a major change to the Warner dynamic without addressing every Warner, because they're affected too.

Dot and Wakko need someone to be friends with outside of themselves. They need familiarity and kindness.

Who better to open the Warner's to a kinder life, than a toon from a company all about the power of familial and romantic love? The themes that surround Max and Goofy(as well as many other Disney's), are exactly the kind of thing that those kids need the most.

Wakko and Dot need to have love that comes from the outside. Love from a parental figure who isn't their older brother, and love from a real friend, someone who cares about them who they aren't related to and can talk through issues they may otherwise be uncomfortable talking to their siblings about. The Warners are closer than any siblings that have or will ever exist, but there's still some things that are easier to talk about with a third party.

With Goofy, (someone who knows how to raise a kid, and what they would need to thrive) the Warners can finally, just be kids.

Yakko being happy is a the big part, but having the Warners brought into the Disney family by Goofy Goof, the man with so much understanding and love to give, who GETS kids, and has always let Max be a kid and help him through it?

It would help all three of them lean on outside help.

His appearance through Yakko and Max knowing each other, gives the Warners a positive adult figure in their lives who will be there to support them instead of criticize them for being "too much".

Yax isn't JUST about Yakko and Max, it's about the connections these kids make beyond the studio lot.

The connections that start with the eldest himself opening up. Start with Yakko overcoming that fear of rejection and letting people in.

It's about learning the world around them isn't just filled with people who want them locked up.

It's also about Max having someone who can match his energy. Max already has some friends who let him be himself and are wonderful people , but The Warners open up a different side of Max that can allow him to show that freer, mischievous side and have fun in that same way he had enjoyed in Goof Troop. He's allowed to revel in it, instead of worrying about stressing out his friends by getting them in on the antics.

The world is also filled with people who embrace their weirdness and energy, and who will guide them.

Even if you just like yax as friends, it's easy to see the potential and benefits

The Warners and the Goofs, to have lives grow richer.

And more, with them being from separate companies, their worldview would be able to grow to incorporate new ideas and thoughts.

The Warners aren't very open with their emotions, so a father son duo who have always been open and communicative would be able to show them the benefits of doing so themselves.

Plus, watching the Warner Siblings wreak havoc with a smile, hurting no innocents, would be exactly the type of thing to make Max smile in turn.

They deserve each other, deserve kindness and acceptance. ALL of these kids do. And every single one of them get that through Yax.

Plus, through Who Framed Roger Rabbit, Yakko and Max exist within the same universe. They're so close. It's not a stretch to see them interact and understand each other.

Now, there's a lot more to talk about. How it came to be, and how the shipping climate and the timing of the original shows allowed for this to line up to happen.

Made this reference sheet a while back but I slightly changed Max's tail design long after this.

Okay so let me explain this last one:

After the Goofy Movie, Max and Goofy would go to fishing trips every now and again. Every since Yakko befriended/started dating Max, Goofy has been very welcoming but made it very clear to Yakko that fishing trips are a very personal Goof-family event. After some time Yakko is invited <3

I have a whole story cooking inside my mind but we'll see if I make anything of it :,D

As a fellow yaxxer, I’m curious. Do you have any headcanons on the blending of the Warner and Goof families? How Yakko warmed up to Goofy (and by extension the rest of the Disney gang, cause let’s be real those guys are Max’s family too), and how Max warmed up to Wakko and Dot?

This ask has "only" been in my inbox for around 6 months instead of a year like the others. Still, I'm sorry for taking so long to get to it.

Seeing this ask for the first time was what made me start officially considering myself a yaxxer! I certainly have some thoughts, many spurred on by my great friend and Yax master @cringetownusa.

I think Yakko and Goofy would warm up to each other very quickly. Goofy would become a father figure to Yakko. He would support Yakko's interests and accept his personality for what it is, instead of rejecting him like so many others. Yakko would rib him but respect his goofiness, his disarming genuineness, and how much of a family man he is. I can actually see Yakko being more genuine with Goofy than even Max. Goofy thinks that Yakko is a nice young man- Max can even get confused at just how calm and respectful Yakko is with his dad.

The rest of the Disney gang is certainly a different story. Yakko and his sibs have a distaste for Disney. Max and his dad get a pass, but the rest would take some getting used to for Yakko. He would probably pick on Mickey and the others until he realizes that they're not evil or sappy killjoys or anything. Even then, their relationship might not be the warmest. It would be filled with wacky hijinks. Mostly playful, but toeing the line.

Max getting along with and genuinely liking Wakko and Dot would be a prerequisite for Yakko to even consider a relationship with him. Wakko and Dot may have been suspicious of him at first, teaming up to take him on with protective toony antics. But after Max didn't turn on them and treat them badly like everyone else, they would quickly warm up to him. Like Goofy to Yakko, he would become a sort of father figure for them.

Max would love their goofiness and their mischievous personalities. Max and the Warners would be a very tight knit group, Max would almost become a fourth Warner. He'd hang around the water tower all the time, play with Wakko and Dot, engage in their interests. He'd take them out to do things like shopping for food (Wakko) and clothes (Dot). He'd be the only one besides Yakko who is willing to do things like that with them. Yakko would be happy to have a little pressure taken off, too.

So yes, I think Max would love the little sibs from the beginning. It's part of what attracted him to Yakko at all- seeing his softer side with his family. Their families would pretty seamlessly integrate. Goofy loves being a father figure and the Warners need one. Wakko and Dot would love having another playmate, someone outside their family. Max would be happy to oblige them. It'd be a super close family unit, because it would have to be for Yakko and Max's relationship to work.

Ok I keep forgetting to submit my own Yax propoganga but I have put so much thought into them.

They have the same sense of humor, we literally see them tell almost identical jokes. They’re both such dramatic showoffs and they both are schemers, they're both the brains of their group (friends v family)

Beause Yakko isn’t as open with his emotions, he’s more sarcasti. But Max has been truthful about what he feels since Goof Troop. It's there on the surface and he communicates and understands in ways that would be SO good for Yakko. They're two sides of the same coin. They are opposites but they support each others weaknesses. Yakko wants so badly to make people laugh, and it’s so important to him to do so. His self worth is connected to it, but Max doesn’t like his laugh and suppresses it. It practically writes itself. So yeah, there’s all the fun WB/Disney forbidden lovers, but it works off a dynamic that would already work really well. That's why I like them so much

off plant doing mercenary work when petropsia was destroyed, has not returned since its restoration

Dottie contacted her with a business proposition, where Dyker would be her bodyguard for somewhat-legal bussiness trades with shady people but would pose as "the Boss" of the operation

this would serve two purposes

A) many aliens find Splixsons "too cute" to be taken seriously, especially amongst the shadier crowds that frequent their black markets, so working through Dyker allows Dottie to get proper deals

B) it allows her to keep her lady safer by redirecting the target to herself

cool and collected, it takes quite a bit to make her composure crack

Dottie is VERRRY good at doing just that

If Louisa, Darius and Yax were in the same room it would be very funny.

Louisa would not hesitate to take the opportunity to joke with Darius, saying something like:

"Please, Darius, it's like seeing you, but without the drama and the expensive clothes! Are you sure you're not family?"

That would surely make Darius even more outraged, perhaps adjusting his clothes to reaffirm that he has nothing to do with Yax.

"Louisa, my bearing and my style are incomparable. This—he points to Yax—is an accident of nature that simply leads to my horns."

And Louisa, trying to contain her laughter:

"Sure, sure. But let's face it, Darius, you're also a little...unique."

Yax, not understanding sarcasm, would probably add something like:

"Thanks, sis. You get my vibe."

Louisa probably couldn't hold back her laughter at seeing Darius almost losing his composure despite being indignant, Darius couldn't help but smile when he saw Louisa so amused.

"I can't believe you're comparing me to that, but... well, at least my hair is better."

There's a lot going on here.

Some familiar characters -- Check out Clawhauser's off-duty look! Yax and Flash (naturally) bringing up the rear! The Hopps family is represented! -- as well as new ones, including a very prominent role to a big, blue snake. (A possible antagonist? Hard to tell with reptiles. Looks like he's smiling, though.)

Is that Finnick in the stroller, wearing a bunny onesie? And holding... uh... we'll just assume that's a carrot-shaped pacifier for now.

Oh! And don't forget the food cart near the top -- what looks like a reference to Bug-Burga, often seen in fanfic but not mentioned in the first movie.

Looks like there's a chameleon in a Men in Black-style outfit hitching a ride on Bogo's arm. EDIT: wait, I just got it! Chameleons are providing security for the Zootennial parade because they'd be great at covert operations!

There's also a seal, a beaver, a bear on a unicycle... okay, maybe that'll make sense in time.

And, of course, Nick and Judy in their new outfits, driving... a hog rod. (I wonder if Nick even has a driver's license -- Judy was driving the cruiser at the end of Zootopia too.)

Give it a Try - A Wakko's Wish Yax Fic

Summary: It had been a year since the Wishing Star incident and Yakko is about to be presented as the future king of Warnerstock to all the surrounding kingdoms. It's a little anxiety inducing to say the least. At least a kind stranger is around to give a bit of a pep talk, right? It had been a year since the Wishing Star incident. A year since King Salazar had been taken down. A year since Dot had begun her road to recovery. A year since the Warner's had found out that they were the lost princes and princess of Warnerstock.

A kindly servant had gotten them out of the castle by request of their parents just before Salazar had done away with them. The servant took them into a small town and left the three young royals on the doors of an orphanage.

But now they were home, returning both the castle and Warnerstock itself to its former glory. Or, at least, they want to. There were a few things standing in their way, but one of those would be done away with today. One of them would officially be presented as the crown Prince.

Much to Wakko and Dot's annoyance, it would be Yakko.

"Why do you get to have a fancy party and a big celebration? You're not even king yet!"

Yakko smiles and rolls his eyes playfully. "No, Dot, but I will be king, and this is a way to show the people that. Or at least that's what I've been told. Honestly, I don't think the author entirely knows how royal families function, but eh, this is a made up kingdom anyway so who cares, right? It's a party! And you and Wakko will get just as much attention as I will."

Hopefully, or else he'd probably have to hear about it.

It's not like they all hadn't been introduced to the kingdom when they were found; they had been shown off to all of the townspeople and more, but now they were getting other kingdoms involved. Lots of other kingdoms, apparently.

Salazar, in his reign, had cut off trading to all other kingdoms and they were eager to set up relations with Warnerstock like they had once had. Which means that Yakko actually has to put some effort into this. 

He looks to his siblings, his smile just the slightest bit strained now, though they couldn’t tell. “Now, why don’t you two go get ready, and I’ll come get you when I’m done, okay?” He tells them. “You don’t want to be late.” 

Wakko blows a raspberry, and Dot lets out a huff, crossing her arms. 

“Fine. I guess my fur could be a little shinier. But only a little! C’mon, Wakko.” She says, leading him from the room. 

Wakko only takes a moment to look back at his older brother, before the door is shutting behind them and Yakko’s smile is dropping. 

He turns to the mirror and lets out a long breath as he looks in the reflection. 

A crowning ceremony. That’s what the presentation is. A ceremony to introduce him to all the other kingdoms who cared to show up, to tell them that Yakko would be charged with fixing up the mess left to him by his predecessor. 

He won’t lie. The past year or so has been a bit of a dream. They were off the streets, in a warm, cozy castle that they have mostly to themselves and a few other people. They were well fed, even without taxing the shirt and shoes off of their subjects, and most importantly, they were together. 

But now, as Brain has told him, this is where it’ll start getting… harder. 

He won’t be fully in charge; no the council had ruled against it after finding out that he’d only been fourteen and untrained. 

Now at fifteen he will officially be ruled the crown prince of Warnerstock, and his formal training would begin. 

And this is what he has to give them. A scrawny, lanky, teenaged ruler. Not officially until he’s eighteen, but still. He’d be acting king under advisement. He’d essentially be in charge. Making decisions. Making people’s lives worse or better. Hopefully better, but who really knows. Maybe he’ll be a worse ruler than Salazar. 

He closes his eyes for a moment, and when he reopens them, it’s still the same face staring back at him. So close to his fathers, but not quite. 

“Not much of a king, are you?” He asks the reflection, his words quiet and just slightly dejected. 

There’s a knock at his door, and he watches as his reflection jumps in front of him. “We’re here to help you get ready, your highness.” He hears a voice call out.

After another breath, preparing himself for what comes next, he turns. A fake smile graces his face as he calls back, “Why, I thought you’d never come.” 

The faux bravado he had with his dressing maids is long gone by the time Yakko gets to the ceremony. 

So far gone, in fact, that he had left. He’d taken a look at all the people standing in the ballroom, all of them there to watch him, and had bolted out the side door. He’d heard Dot and Wakko shout after him, even heard Brain and his presenter call out, but he hadn’t stopped, and he has yet to go back. 

He’s not sure how long he’s been gone, but it’s at least 15 minutes of panicked breathing and attempts to calm himself before someone comes across him. 

“Hey, um, are you okay?” 

Yakko jumps as he hears the voice, his head shooting up, his eyes wide, only to come across a boy his age, maybe a few years older. 

He’s a handsome dog, dressed nicely, in reds and golds and with a pair of adorably dorky buck teeth. But that’s not the important part. He’s clearly one of the guests for the ceremony, and he’s caught Yakko in the middle of his panic attack. 

He takes in another breath, reaching up to brush the tears away from his face. 

“I um- Y-yeah, I’m fine-” He tells him. “What um- what are you doing back here?” His tone turns just the slightest bit accusatory. He hadn’t thought anyone else would come this way. 

The boy shrugs, reaching up to rub at the back of his neck. “Probably about the same thing you’re doing.” He tells him. “There’s a lot of people out there. It can get a bit overwhelming. I just needed a minute of silence, you know?” 

Yakko turns his face away, shrugging. Clearly the dog doesn't know who he is. Which makes sense. No one should really know what the Warner’s look like yet save for their own people. And who knows how far away this boy is from.

“Um, yeah, same, pretty much.” Yakko nods, and before he can stop it, his mouth keeps going. “Like, I get it, this is important, but did there have to be so many people?” All of them expect him to do something great, or fail miraculously, he’s sure. 

“Yeah, I feel you there. And they’re all so old and boring. I thought I’d never find another kid my age.” The boy walks over, sitting next to Yakko. “My dad made me go, said it would be good to get out there and meet people from other kingdoms, but I’d be a lot happier at home practicing sword fighting or something.” He shrugs, and then leans back a bit so he could look down at Yakko better. “I’m Max, by the way.” 

Yakko looks up at Max, pausing for a moment, then looking down at the hand Max had outstretched. It takes him another moment to reach out and shake it. 

“Yakko.” 

“Yakko, that’s a funny name. No offence. Mine is Maximillian, so clearly I have no room to judge.” There’s no recognition on Max’s face as Yakko gives his name, and Yakko supposes that’s a good thing. There’s no need for this relative stranger from god knows what kingdom to know that he’d just found the future king of this kingdom crying and snivelling in a back hallway like a baby. 

He shakes the thought from his head as Max starts speaking again. 

“But also, please forget that I told you my name is Maximillian so that I can pretend to be cool for like, 10 more minutes.” 

Despite the tension in Yakko’s body, and the continued anxiety that clings to his insides, he manages to laugh at that. A hand lifts up to his mouth to hide the sound behind it, almost surprised at it himself. 

It only seems to make Max smile more. 

“Alright, you’re laughing instead of calling me a loser, I’ll take that as a win.” He comments, which only has Yakko’s laughter continuing for another moment. 

“If that’s a win for you I’d hate to see a loss.” Yakko comments, his dry humour coming out just a bit as he speaks to the other teen.

Max laughs back, matching Yakko’s dry tone. “Hah, you don’t know who you’re talking to. If you thought the name Maximilian was bad, pair it with the last name Goof. I’m kind of known for goofing things up. Not as bad as my dad, but the point stands.”

Yakko laughs a little more at the name, a little more lively than the last time. 

“That’s pretty unfortunate. Are you sure your dad actually loves you?” He hopes that doesn’t come across as too low-bar for Max, but Yakko is pretty sure he gets his humor already, and he’s right when Max lets out a laugh. 

“Yeah, I’m pretty sure he loves me. More than pretty sure, actually. He just has some pretty weird naming conventions.” Max lets out another little laugh before leaning back, his eyes moving towards the hall leading back to the party. “Pretty sure he loves me more than anything in the world, actually. Which means it sucks all the more every time I mess up.” 

Yakko’s smile slips off his face as he raises an eyebrow. “Yeah?” He asks, and Max waves him off. 

“Nah, I don’t need to get into it, it’s kind of a bummer.” He tells him, and Yakko shrugs, offering a smaller smile. 

“Try me, I’m a good listener.” 

Max raises an eyebrow at him, offering his own lopsided grin. “Are you, Yak-ko?” He asks, and when Yakko only shrugs his shoulders the other boy lets out a sigh. “Alright, you asked for it. So, you see, despite being, well, a goof, my dad is this crazy respected knight, right? He went from being a castle cleaner, to a knight, and then to the King’s right hand man because he helped save the princess and also was the King’s best friend before he married the princess, so it’s like a big deal. And now I’m training to be a knight, and it’s like, this whole thing of being able to live up to my dad and everything he’s done. And it’s just… a lot of pressure some days.” Max is leaning heavily against the wall, staring ahead as he speaks. Clearly this weighs a lot on him, and Yakko can definitely relate. 

He’d run away from all of his pressure tonight. 

“That sounds like you have a lot weighing on your shoulders.” Yakko replies, looking back over to Max who lets out another sigh. 

“Yeah, it is, but what else can I do besides try? My dad wants me to do it, I want to do it, so I figure I’ll either do it, or I won’t, but I’ll never know if I can if I don’t at least try, you know?” 

Yakko looks towards the hall he’d come from, a small lump forming in his throat at Max’s words. 

“Yeah… You’ll never know if you don’t try…” 

“Exactly. And I have people to help me, people who won’t let me fail on my own, so what am I really worried about?” He tries to make it sound like a joke, but there’s still some underlying worry.

He stands after that, and turns back to offer a hand back to Yakko, the younger boy blushing just the slightest at the offer. “We should probably get back in there, right? I know my dad is gonna start wondering where I got off to.” 

Yakko looks at the hand, then slowly reaches up to grab it, letting Max pull him to his feet. 

“Yeah, I should probably get back too.” He nods, looking in the opposite direction of the party. “I have to go this way, but I’ll see you in there?” 

Max raises another eyebrow, looking down the hallway Yakko gestures to before looking back and nodding. “Yeah, okay, see you in there.” Max offers one more smile before he makes his way back to the ballroom. 

Yakko waits until he’s rounded a corner before turning and heading back to where his family are still waiting for him. 

As he enters the room both Wakko and Dot perk up, worried smiles on his faces. 

“Yakko!” Dot calls while Wakko nervously steps forward. 

“Are y’feelin’ any better?” He asks, and Yakko smiles at them. 

“Yeah, sibs. I’m feeling better.” Then his eyes turn towards Brain. “I’m ready now.” 

The presentation goes down without a hitch. Yakko is brought out to the front of the ballroom, all eyes on him, and he manages to not pass out, or throw up, or anything. In fact, he smiles. 

And that smile only grows a little sheepish as he sees the confused look on Max’s face as the crown is placed on Yakko’s head. 

“We present to you, oh people of this region, his highness, William Warner the Second, crowned prince and future king of Warnerstock.”

The people in the ballroom clap, and before long Yakko is whisked away to be personally introduced to everyone who had come. 

It’s well over a half hour later that Max is once again in front of him. 

“Your highness, this is Sir Maximillian of the Mouse kingdom.” His presenter introduces, not realizing that they’ve already met. 

Max plays his part despite the continued confusion on his face, bowing towards Yakko much to the other’s embarrassment. 

“It’s a pleasure to meet you, your highness.” He speaks the words formally, and once he’s standing upright again, Yakko waves off his presenter. 

As soon as they’re alone, Yakko smiles. 

“Sorry about that, probably a bit of a surprise, huh?” He asks, and Max thankfully drops the formalities and smiles. 

“Yeah, no kidding. I had no clue I was speaking to the future king. A little warning next time?” There’s humour in his words as he says them and Yakko can’t help but to laugh. 

“What was I supposed to say, Yeah, I’m the future king sitting all alone in a dark hallway, tell me about your dad.” 

That has Max’s smile dropping, his hand running down his head. “Oh my dad. God, I must have sounded like such an idiot going on about all that pressure back there. You’re probably like, the king of pressure. Literally.” 

Yakko laughs a bit more at that, drawing some attention from the other attendees, but he tries not to think about it. “No, it’s fine. Really. It actually helped a lot. I was feeling pretty nervous about the whole thing. Or a lot nervous, actually. So I wanted to thank you.” 

Max looks surprised at that, but nods his head after a moment. “Oh um, yeah, totally. Glad I could help with my teenage angst.” He jokes towards the end, and Yakko laughs again. 

Yakko is about to speak, when his presenter returns, his smile strained. “Your highness, I don’t mean to rush you, but we do have a good lot more people to get through tonight. We wouldn’t want to insult anyone by not getting to them, right?” 

Yakko’s ears drop a bit at the reminder, before he looks back at Max, a small smile on his face. 

“Well, that’s my cue. I’ll see you around though, right?” He asks and Max nods, if not a bit eagerly. 

“Yeah, absolutely, I’ll be here all night.” He tells him, and Yakko’s smile widens. 

“Alright, I’ll see you around then.” 

Yakko is brought away soon after, introduced to person after person throughout the entire night. It was more or less fine, some people more stuffy than others, but over all nothing egregious happened until Wakko knocked Dot into the chocolate fountain. Then all hell had broken loose, but Yakko, at the very least, had managed to catch sight of Max laughing at his sibling’s antics. 

Later that night, after the party got back on track and then slowly came to an end, Yakko finds himself laying with his two siblings in bed. Dot, now freshly clean and given up on her vow of revenge to Wakko, lays down on one side, Wakko on the other. 

“So, you’re officially one day goin’ to be king, huh Yakko? Feel any different?” He asks as he gets comfortable, and Yakko shrugs. 

“Nah, not really. Honestly, I was hoping I’d get taller, or maybe bulk up when the crown was placed on my head. Guess not, though.” 

“Definitely not.” Dot comments, poking Yakko in the arm and causing her older brothers both to laugh. 

“Alright, alright, I get it. Besides, I won’t be king for another two years, I have time to bulk up.” Yakko tells her, pushing her arm away before wrapping his own around her shoulders and pulling her in close. 

She settles quickly enough, Wakko snuggling in on his other side. 

Dot hums for a moment, before speaking again. “What’s the first thing you’re going to do? Once you’re king, I mean.” She asks, and Yakko thinks about it for a moment. 

What is he going to do? His first decree as king… 

“Well, besides, of course making it illegal for anyone to be taller than me...” Dot rolls her eyes while Wakko only snorts, and then Yakko’s smile becomes a bit more genuine as he looks up at the ceiling. 

“I think I might try to get closer to the Mouse kingdom.” 

“The Mouse kingdom?” Dot asks with surprise, and Yakko nods. 

“Yeah, I have… a good feeling about them.”

Ophelia Warner feat something an actual child asked me

I can't believe I've never talked about my Yax kid or posted her before what is this heresy.

She's loud and talkative and chock full of energy. She loves meeting new people and will absolutely go up to complete strangers and start conversations with them over anything. She's super inquisitive and loves learning about people and how things work.

I had this whole idea about when Yakko and Max are married and want a kid, they first go to Disney, since it's they're big on love and family. Disney turns them away bc it's not good for their image for the kid of one of their biggest stars to get any lgbt spotlight. So instead they go to Warner Brothers instead.

An animator at WB says yes but because of copyright issues the kid need to be a warner, but Yakko and Max are able to make some input on the child as well.

So Ophelia (FiFi) Warner is made and she's the spitting image of Yakko.

Synopis: In 1945 Congress and the Senate demand that the Toon Studios of Warner and Disney settle their differences after both are caught forming battlelines. The government forcing them to choose one toon on either side that would be married to each other to cement this bridge.

After being locked up in the water tower in 1934, James Rabbit Aka Yakko Warner would do anything to free his siblings but is he willing to be married off to some Disney Toon named Max Goof for that freedom?

He growled lowly as the man grabbed his face, Walts eyes narrowing,

"Behave yourself," he said sharply as he moved Yakkos head, looking closely,"Mmm, and you say she's a Warner? Some of the linework it is like ours."

The Warner boss grinned asking innocently,

"Didn't you hear me, Mr Disney? She is from one of your creations. It is why we figured over at Universal and Warner, Yakko would be perfect for your little Max. She is the daughter of Oswald and Ortensia, the Niece of Mickey it would assist in tying the Goof and Mouse families together as well." The CEO chuckled as Walts eyes lit up, his grip tightened, making Yakko wince at the vice like grip, before letting go,

The Animator turned going to his desk,

"She will do then, Max is being redesigned, and she should be as well, I had to go through Marceline over that." He sighed, Yakko could see in his eyes he was tired, he shrugged, pulling out a cigarette,

"It is the government, though. I told her that unless someone else wishes too then this is the only option." He put the object to his lips and lit it, taking a drag he muttered with a shake of the head,

"I don't want to make children grow up faster than they should. However, it has come to this. Just thanking the Lord above that they aren't forcing em to produce offspring, I know Max still has the mindset of a 6 year old, Yakko is that of a pre teen, she has no manners either, one of us would be stuck raising the mongrol to make sure they didn't end up feral."

He took another drag, James had already decided he didn't like this Walt Disney. But it also seemed like he had prior history with his Dad, so he'd play nice for now, putting on a smile fiddling with the skirt he couldn't wait to get out of,

"We are already working on that redesign." The Toon blinked horror shooting through him,

He knew how these animators treated female toons, let alone he didn't want to be, but he remembered Bugs warning of
