(Oh look! The bond is described as "music between souls". Hmm, I wonder where I read about a certain character hearing "a faint, beautiful singing" following him and his shadows singing back 🤔)

Turns out we were wrong all along, guys. SJM is not a fated mates writer. All her mate pairs are actually fake! *gasp*

Edit: For a little clarification here, some Elriels argue that Elucien's bond is fake because it's described as a thread, much like some magic, including Koschei's, is so they think "thread = Koschei's magic = fake bond". But "thread" was also literally used to describe Feysand and Nessian's bond so I don't think the logic holds when you inspect it.
