Mannion has shot over 300 album covers working with hip hop and R&B performers including Jay Z, Dr. Dre, Aaliyah, Outkast, Nas, Nicki Minaj, Brandy Norwood and Kendrick Lamar.

"She {Aaliyah} was such a beautiful spirit and worked hard. Like, she delivered man! Every time I shoot, I collect Polaroid’s and tape them together to show the journey. I chased her down the hall and said, “Hey, look, will you sign this?” It’s a tradition. Every time I shoot I have people sign the Polaroid. We had talked about shooting in the Caribbean. I said, “Hey, I’m a big fan of Jamaican culture. Let’s go to Jamaica and shoot you in a bikini, in the water, here and there and on the back of a scooter with some Rasta driving and let’s tell stories man. Let’s go have some fun”. She wrote on the Polaroid, “I’ll see you in the Caribbean”. So like, every time I take off and go down there, it’s like, I remember that. I remember the moments and I feel her every time I’m in the Caribbean. "

--- Jonathan Mannion on working with Aaliyah Haughton and setting up to do a photo shoot in the Caribbean with her. I attached the image Aaliyah wrote on. Aaliyah writes "Can't Wait 4 the Caribbean. See ya then".

Her photo shoot with Jonathan was May 2001. Sadly, this would be the last time they would work together.

Born December 11, 1973 in Bedford-Stuyvesant Brooklyn, Yasiin Bey is a renown MC.

Yasiin has been making hip-hop music since 1994, and first gained national attention in 1998 with the release of Mos Def and Talib Kweli are Black Star, and his subsequent solo album, Black on Both Sides, in 1999.

Throughout his career, Bey has balanced music with acting, appearing in films such as Bamboozled (2000), Brown Sugar (2002), The Italian Job (2003), Something The Lord Made (2004), The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy (2005), 16 Blocks (2006), and Be Kind Rewind (2008) among others.
