Alright, yesterday I promised a cursed JoJo parallel so hear me out on this one.

Both parts 1 & 8 feature a character whose life gets disrupted by some guy showing up. This new guy gets adopted into their family, gets preferential treatment from other people in the family, and damages their relationship with someone who's implied to be pretty much their only friend.

Said characters are of course Jonathan and Joshu

honestly im kind of shocked at how nonchalantly kei nijimura gets killed off in the final arc of jojolion, like i didnt even know she had died until i was wondering why she wasnt in the epilogue and decided to check her character page

and to be honest i feel like this is a symptom of a deeper issue within araki's bodies of work in that he has a tendency to sideline his female characters in favor of his male ones even when theyre supposed to be central and important

like, i dont think araki is intentionally misogynistic, but this sort of thing happens wayyyyy too often for it to not be a behavioral pattern

First off, this account is non-canon! Since this is based on a AU, of course some wild stuff will happen here that won’t happen in the main franchise. So, there’s that.

Secondly, due to the first point, everyone’s original deaths did not happen, as they were redacted. Therefore, the characters original deaths did happen, but were quickly undone by some strange force.

There was a solid thumping of shoes and a light clap of cheeks. Yasuho knew she had to clean up her “paranormal activity club” up quick. The class president was doing inspections today and if she was in a mess her club may be closed!

"Crap, Crap, Crap! Why did it have to be today? I-I gotta get this all cleaned up! Damn it Karera why did you have to leave such a mess?" Yasuho panicked sprinting around the tiny storage room the club was allowed to set up in. Pizza boxes, fast food bags and crush soda cans all had to disposed of. And from the sound of the thunderous footsteps approaching she was running out of time.

The notification popped up on her phone showing her a picture of a banana and a open window with the prompt asking her to choose.

"Ugh why are you being cryptic NOW of all times?" She groaned and swiped left picking the window and on queue a conveniently timed garbage truck passed by on campus. Hiking up a garbage bag full of the worst of the mess Yasuho took a deep breath and hurled the garbage bag out the now open window of the club room just in time to land in the back of the truck. "Maybe that'll buy me some time... this place is still a mess." Yasuho lament knowing the president would be here any minute.
