This one is going to start a bit differently bcs the numbers didnt work out perfectly😒

Basically the first round is going to be a sort of qualifiers round - there will be sixteen groups of three, and the top two will advance from each group

After that, it'll be back to the normal bracket layout - ill shuffle all the characters around so they dont end up against the same person as the first round

All playable girl characters have been added, including lumine but not aloy (the numbers didnt work out for her AGAIN), as well as paimon, columbina, signora, arlecchino, and sandrone!

And here we have the next update! We've mostly got data stuff again, but that's because I'm gearing up for next month to be significant story-based updates! For now, here's what we got this week:

Systems

For Systems, this week, I've reorganized the structure of the GDrive. Now each section is in its own folder. So, it's a bit easier to look up exactly what you want to see. This also helps me when I want to find something specific, since I just need to folow the trail rather than try to remember where I put it.

This also received an update to structure. That is to say, there is now sub-folders for various specific maps. Interior, Quest, Regional, and Settlement maps. And I have added the first new map into this structure;

1) the character everyone gets wrong: Jiang Cheng might be the most polarizing character of all IMO. But I don't think people get him "WRONG," so much as we tend to fall on either side of the discussion: either more or less critical of his inactions/overreactions. Personally, I am less inclined to forgive a lot of JC's BS, but!!! I also blame his parents' godawful child-rearing for him being so emotionally constipated.

2) a compelling argument for why your fave would never top or bottom: Canonically, LWJ never bottomed a day in his life, and I rebuke any heresy refuting this god-given evidence, amen.

3) screenshot or description of the worst take you've seen on tumblr: That one poll where people actually voted to behead WWX and marry Xue Yang had me like WHOMST???? Like, I understand marrying JGY, but XY?! O_O

The street was already dark as Hua headed home that night, only the light of the streetlamps keeping him on course. He'd taken to taking a different route home each night, in the hopes of better understanding the layout of the city in a quicker fashion. But this night, he just let his legs carry him from one intersection to the other, not paying attention to where the wind took him.

After a while, he glanced up, trying to figure out his surroundings to see if he knew how to get home from there. Instead, he blinked in alarm, looking up to see the charred remains of a building across the street. He knew where he was. Those minutes trapped in that burning house—and the long night with In-soo his boyfriend spent after—would never leave his mind, not easily, at least.

With a shudder, he turned away, moving back the way he'd come. At least he knew how to get back to the apartments from here. His foot caught on something and he stumbled, glancing down in annoyance to see what it was.

A small, beaten-up, dingy cardstock box sat under his feet, and he bent down to see it better before letting out a sharp laugh. It was his matchbox, from a few weeks back. Hua reached down to pick it up, examining the card of the box to confirm it was really his. It was—the brand he generally purchased and everything. Somehow, they just hadn't gotten cleaned up.

He rolled the box around in his fingers a couple of times, glancing around the street for a trash can. Finally finding one, he dumped the box inside and walked off—it was too dirty to use, anyway, and he really wanted to get back to the apartments. He really wanted to get away from this building.

As he walked down the street, he tucked his hands in his pockets, fingers scratching around on the liner of the jacket. With a small blink, he realized what was missing—what had been missing for weeks, but he hadn't even noticed.

He'd stopped carrying the matchboxes around.

In fact, the pile still sat, untouched, on his kitchen counter, same as it had the last time In-soo had been in his apartment. The corners of his mouth twitched in the ghost of a smile at the thought, steps quickening as he headed back to the Yao Guai—because, whether either of them realized it or not, it was the older man's influence.

And he needed to get home before it got much later if he was going to throw out those matches.
