Sri Yantra
It’s everywhere - on t-shirts, mugs, jewelry, decals... The ancient mystical chart (older than 8000 years) has become a trendy design, but most do not realize the complexity, symbolism and significance of the connected triangles and the ring of lotus petals.
It is considered sacred geometry, which contains the blueprints of the entire universe and as the highest symbolic creation of divine being. It is intended to help align one's own energy with the cosmic energy and connect with the Higher Self.
There's no doubt about the power of the precisely constructed Shri Yantra. In 1887 Russian scientists with the help of EEG technology proved that the geometry of the Shri Yantra quickly puts the viewer into a meditative state. (Source: Faculty of Biology, University of Moscow, 30. 10. 1987)

This was commissioned promotional art for my friend Tim Burke, an author of the strange, horrific, and humorous (all at the same time).  The novel is called Saints of Flesh, a sequel to his first novel, Flesh Sutra.
For this promotional art, Tim wanted a magical emblem that utilized sacred geometry, but it needed to be "evil" sacred geometry.  He provided several designs he liked that were proper geometric diagrams, as well as a traditional yantra design, and said to me, pervert them.   He wanted them to be eye-searing, almost painful to look at.  They needed to be off; the measurements and shapes tweaked so that they're just a hair out of true.
I'd originally wanted to make all the red linework into bones, but after we played around with designs back and forth, Tim favored a simpler approach.  The red and aqua dance in front of my eyes, and tweaked just a little in Photoshop, the design is deliberately almost painful to look at for very long.  Tim, of course, has made merchandise out of it, so it can be wrongity-wrongly-wrong on all kinds of stuff, including t-shirts and laptop stickers, and all kinds of cool stuff.
I worked out the geometric design on the computer, printed it out, then colored it with Prismacolors.  The dark background is also Prismacolor.  I don't know if it shows up well here, but the imagery is comprised entirely of muscle fibers and eyes.  Lots of eyes.  Oh God, So Many EYES.

While MoS Murugan wore a veshti for the red carpet walk, producer Guneet Monga was seen donning a beautiful golden saree. Meanwhile, Tomba was also seen in an ethnic outfit. The theme of this year's Cannes Indian Pavilion is inspired by 'Saraswati Yantra'.
Sharing the photo, the minister wrote, "As a Tamilian, I am proud to participate in the red carpet reception of the world-famous Cannes Film Festival today wearing the Veshti shirt, a traditional symbol of Tamil." In another tweet, he wrote, "It is a proud moment for every Indian and Tamil to step on the world stage wearing the #G20India , traditional dress emblazoned with our national flag at this moment when India is chairing the G20 summit."
MoS Murugan decodes his Cannes outfit
Ahead of the Cannes Film Festival, Murugan spoke to ANI and said that the embroidery on his shirt is done by his local tailor. The minister said he was proud to wear the embroidered tricolour on his chest. "The embroidery on the shirt has been done by my local tailor. It makes me immensely proud to wear the tricolour on my chest." Murugan had also attended Cannes 2023.

Visited the RISD museum this week and saw an exhibit of how artists use nature in their work. Wanted to share these two beautiful pieces: a Daoist Priest's Robe and a shirt from Myanmar or Thailand. The robe is far more ornate and I cannot imagine how long it took to create, but the shirt is wonderfully intricate too, but was apparently worn as an undershirt!
Unidentified maker(s) / Daoist Priest's Robe (Jiangyi), 1800s / China (Oing Dynasty, 1644-1911) Silk, metallic yarn, tapestry weave (Bequest of Miss Lucy 1. Aldrich 55.242)
In many parts of Asia, garments worn for rituals often include depictions of natural elements considered sacred and divine. Worn by high-ranking Daoist priests during formal rituals, jiangyi are usually adorned with auspicious designs. This example is covered with cranes and mythical animals.
Unidentified maker(s) / Shirt with Yantra Designs, mid 1900s / Myanmar or Northern Thailand (Shan State) Ink and color on silk plain weave (M. Danforth Acquisition Fund 2002.11.7A)
People of the Shan State in Myanmar and Northern Thailand use yantras, or geometric diagrams with animal designs and inscriptions, to ward off evil spirits. Yantras are commonly painted on textiles, as seen on this undershirt, or tattooed on the body.

heeey! It's been a while that I think of becoming a witch but I don’t know where to start! do you have any tips for me ? thank uuuu🥀 (Sorry for my english, I’m French sooo)
Start with researching.
Do you wanna be witch or wiccan?
Do you want to pursue one particular kind of magic? Or do you want to do a little bit of all things? Kitchen? Crystal? Sea? Eclectic? Hedge? Chaos?
Do you want to practice a more subtle magic? Scribe Magic? Hair? Divination?
Do you feel called towards a certain tool more than others? Tarot Cards? Oracle? Crystal balls? Runes and Runic Magic? Ogham? Herbs and brewing? Stars and star charts? Divination boards? Globes? Pens? Determine this and go from here.
Do you want to practice modern magic or old magic? I personally practice a mixture of both as it suits me and make procedures up as I go.
Do you want to be in a coven or do you wanna practice solo? This one is very important. I personally hate being in a group and doing group things. You might be an opposite or fall somewhere in between. Determine this. There are of course benefits of being in a coven. The sharing of knowledge and power being at the forefront of that plethora. Decide/
I recommend keeping a dedicated notebook and researching for at least ten minutes per day and logging your finds in this book. You could also keep a folder or document on your PC.
Some topics to add in a Book of Shadows or Grimoire or just the Notebook are:
-Moon Phases and their significance. Eg New Moons are the best time to set intentions
-Zodiac Signs and their significance. You could make this the first page. Add your name. Your sun sign, moon sign, ascendant…..you could also do a whole 12 house work up
-Herbs and their general uses
-Tarot or your preferred method of divination and the symbolism in it. Write your own interpretations.
-Colors and their significance. You could also start doing this as subtle magic everyday. Wear a shirt or tee in a certain color that corresponds with your intention for the day
-Spells and basic sigilwork if you are into this
-Instruments that you wish for and why you wish for them. I want an obsidian mirror for my divination and I wrote that and illustrated it in my book along with its uses and why I preferred it over other mirrors. Speaking of mirrors. Get one. Mirrors can be used for many things. Divination, communication with spirits, caging negative vibes in your space….many things. Get one and cleanse it. It don’t have to be fancy. Just something from your local store should do.
-If you are into a certain path more than others than research about that. Druidic, Pictish, Gaulish, Greek, Latin, Norse, Germanic, Shakt, Shinto, Taoist, Shaiva, Aboriginal, Native American, Hoodoo, Voodoo, Santeria…..whatever you are into. Research it.
-Dreams and their interpretations
-Flowers and their correspondences
-Incense
-Essential Oils
-Music Magic. This is very big in my path. Ragas and Thaats and their uses in callings, spiritwork, influencing weather…..I research them and write my own music around these.
-Hallucinogens and other toxic materials. Hensbane, wolfsbane, hemlock, night shade….keep a directory of herbs that might be of use but need to be handled carefully. Same goes for irritants.
-Weather Patterns and Omens. What does a crow sighting mean? Jackal? Coyote? Black cat?
-Feathers and their uses in magic.
-Water and its correspondences depending on the source its collected from
These are just things you could do. Figure out your own curiosities and record them.
Other things that almost all witches-wiccan or otherwise-have in common are:
-Altars. They are incredibly personal and everyone customizes them.
-Circles. In my path, we make elaborate mandalas and yantras corresponding to a deity we are working with. They can also be cast with a myriad of materials. Grain, chalk, salt, water, fire, flowers, herbs and herbal pastes……figure out what you want to work with and go from there.
-An instrument for sweeping spaces. Get an instrument that you can use for sweeping your space. I like to enchant mine for certain purposes. Like banishing shades, negative vibes, tension, ailments in the air…..you could do the same.
You don’t have to do any of these things. They just help a witch focus.
Also, meditate.
Meditate. Meditate. Meditate.
It could be the sitting and thinking kind. I personally prefer moving meditation. You couldn’t pay me to sit still and do nothing. I dance or do yoga. Some other ways that you can meditate include tai chi, swimming and marital arts. Anything that can help you empty your brain of conscious thought is good.
These are just the tips I have off the top of my head. There must be a million more. I hope I could help. :-)

Jaipur
Tumblr media
Known in the world of tourism as the Pink City, Jaipur stuns all with its characteristic feminine hue. It is a pleasant sight to behold against the backdrop of the imposing Nahargarh and Jaigarh forts. It combines its historical allure with all the features of an Indian metropolis.
Jaipur is one corner of the famous Golden Triangle of India, the other two being Delhi and Agra. When you plan a trip to Rajasthan, Jaipur is always an essential part of your itinerary. There are so many attractions here itself that you can expect to spend at least three days in the Pink City.
Best time to Visit Jaipur
India has three main seasons, namely summer, winter and monsoon. The quality of your Indian trips is often decided by the weather. We have given here a brief description of best time to visit Jaipur in all the three seasons.
Summer: -
Summers in Jaipur start from mid-March and last till June. Rajasthan has an arid climate and technically, is best avoided during high temperatures. It is hot and dry throughout the day, and as a tourist unused to the harsh weather, you are more susceptible to dehydration and fatigue. If you are visiting Jaipur during the summer, be sure to pick air-conditioned transport. Always keep a bottle of water and snacks handy.
Monsoons: -
The Jaipur rains start from July and last till September. It is quite a pleasant time to visit if you love the rain and to be in nature. The city of Jaipur takes on a fresh green look during the monsoons. August witnesses the highest amount of rainfall in the four months of the season. A Jaipur trip will be more budget-friendly and less crowded if you visit during the monsoons. You will also get a chance to visit some local festivals such as Teej.
Winter: -
Winters are quite the opportune time to visit Rajasthan. The nights are bitterly cold, but it is manageable for the sake of basking in the winter sunshine that envelops Jaipur during the day. Precisely why the best season to visit Jaipur is winters. It lasts from October to March and is the peak tourist season. Jaipur in January is a must-visit for bookworms, because of the annual Literary Fest. Even if you are not very keen on books, there are a plethora of other activities to keep you occupied elsewhere in the city.
Here is a quick summary of all the seasonal details…
SUMMER
March to June - 34˚C to 45˚C
MONSOONS
July to September - 27˚c to 34˚C
WINTERS
October to March - 5˚C to 32˚C (can drop to 0˚C at night)
How to Reach: -
Thanks to India’s transport and travel network, most of the big cities are very well connected to each other. Jaipur, being the capital city of Rajasthan, has no dearth of travel services either. Although your Jaipur tour package would have all the information, here is what you must know prior to visiting the tourism board –
By Air: -
The Sanganer Airport in Jaipur is well connected with Indian metropolitans and the Middle East through the Air India, GoAir and Jet Airways airlines. The approximate travel time to Jaipur from major Indian cities like Mumbai, Delhi, and Kolkata are 2 hours and 10 minutes.
By Rail: -
Indian Railways is a vast operation to connect even the remotest parts of the country. Rajasthan, therefore, it is very well connected to the rest of India by train as well. Again, the approximate travel time varies widely and depends upon the starting point. If you are traveling from Delhi, you will need just 4 hours. However, to travel from Chennai to Jaipur by train, you may need 36-37 hours.
By Road: -
Rajasthan boasts of well-maintained National Highways out of which NH8 is the preferred one if you want to travel by road. The two most common modes of transport are usually buses or private cars while going to Jaipur. The travel time can again vary from 5 hours to 24 hours, depending on the starting point of your ride, in this case, Delhi and Mumbai respectively.
Places to Visit in Jaipur: -
Rajasthan is known as one of the best travel destinations of India. Jaipur is the capital city and thus boasts of many magnificent palaces and forts built by the Rajasthan Royals. It is a hotspot for history lovers who want to imagine the days long gone exactly as they were before. Here are some popular places which should be part of your Jaipur trip package:
City Palace: -
The City Palace is located in the heart of Jaipur and dates back to the 19th century. It is a marvelous blend of Rajput, Mughal and European styles of architecture. Many parts of the palace complex have been converted into art galleries and museums so that the visitors can see for themselves the royal lifestyle of the kings and queens of the city. Chandra Mahal within the City Palace complex serves as the residence for the current royal family of Jaipur.
Hawa Mahal: -
The Hawa Mahal is a palace constructed in the middle of the bustling city and is a very prominent landmark in the Pink City. It has plenty of jharokas or small windows so that the ladies of the royal family could observe the daily comings-and-goings of the city while remaining invisible to the common man. The Hawa Mahal is built of red and pink sandstone, and the structure allows complete ventilation even during peak summers. That is why it is named Hawa Mahal or the Palace of Winds.
Tumblr media
https://pixabay.com/en/palace-of-winds-india-jaipur-1882851/
Jantar Mantar: -
In stark contrast to the opulent palaces of the city, Jantar Mantar is a science observatory in Jaipur. It lauds the astronomical skills of Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh at a time when the science itself was very new to the world. Different astronomical instruments made of stone and brass are fixed on the ground, and hundreds of curious tourists can observe numerous astrological positions with the naked eye. The Samrat Yantra in the observatory is the world’s largest sundial till date and deserves a special mention. It is indeed an astronomical heritage of not just Jaipur but entire India in an era when we are giving up our Indian culture.
Tumblr media

Amer Fort: -
The Amer Fort is located in Amer town, at a distance of 11 kilometers from Jaipur. It was constructed by Raja Man Singh I and is a brilliant example of Rajput architecture. It also offers breathtaking views of the surrounding hills and cities. Many famous Bollywood movies such as Jodhaa Akbar, Mughal-E-Azam and Veer have been shot here. It overlooks the serene Maota Lake and is visited by umpteen visitors every year.
Things to Do in Jaipur: -
Jaipur is a perfect mélange of history and modernity. Don’t fret if you’re not a history buff; we have got you covered. How would you like to gorge yourself on some delicious Rajasthani meals, or shop till you drop? Read on… We have listed the top and amazing things to do in Jaipur:
Enjoy the Sights at the Jal Mahal: -
You have to see it to believe it. The Jal Mahal is actually built in the middle of the Mansagar Lake nestled between the Nahargarh Hills. It is built with an exotic flair of both Mughal and Rajput architecture. Initially used as a summer retreat by the royal family, the Jal Mahal is now a tourist attraction. You can relax by the side of the lake to feel the cool breeze and take some really amazing photos of the palace as the sun disappears behind the hills.

Elephant Ride At Amer Fort: -
A visit to the golden Amer Fort is incomplete without an elephant ride. You can explore the huge gateways and cobbled paths of the fort while sitting upon the very animal which once graced the royal stables. Be sure to go for the ride in the mornings, as the elephants are well-rested then and you will have an enjoyable experience.
Choki Dhani: -
If you are a foodie, this is the place for you. This village resort offers you the best of Jaipur with puppet shows, folk music, acrobatics and of course, delicious Rajasthani food. Tuck into the mouthwatering dishes at the open air restaurants while you take in the electrifying ambiance of Choki Dhani. It is a perfect break from the city life with its rustic appeal and natural surroundings.
Tumblr media

https://hi.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chokhi_dhani.jpg
Shopping In Jaipur: -
Johri Bazaar in Jaipur is a perfect representation of the city. Most of the shops are painted pink, and you will get all the trinkets you want here. You can take your pick from dresses to jewelry and even Jaipuri quilts. Kundan jewelry is very popular in Rajasthan, and you will find a lot of it at Johri Bazaar. Believe me; a nice traditional bracelet can make all the difference in the world to your jeans-and-tee-shirt ensemble.
Festivals and Events: -
India is a land of festivals, and Rajasthan more so because of its deep connections with its past. Most of the festivals and events in Jaipur revolve around their regional beliefs and old Indian traditions. Some of the most popular festivals are described below. Joyous Jaipur’s festivals one need to be part of:
The Elephant Festival: -
Celebrated every year in the months of February and March, the Elephant festival is unique to Jaipur and is worth a watch. It is celebrated on Phalgun Poornima. Elephants are decked up beautifully and taken out in processions. The highlights of this festival are the elephant dances, elephant polo, and the tug-of-war between elephants and the people present at the festival.
Tumblr media
https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Elephant_polo.jpg
Teej Festival: -
Teej is an important festival for the ladies of Jaipur. All the women dress in traditional attires and wear jewelry. Married women fast and pray for the long lives of their husbands, while unmarried girls pray to find a desirable match. People gather in temples to pray to Goddess Parvati. A number of folk dances and traditional songs are presented on this day.
The Kite Festival: -
The kite festival is held in Jaipur on the 14th of January every year. There is a myriad of colorful kites in the sky during the day. At night, tiny lamps are attached to the kites flown which then make for an alluring sight in the deepening twilight. A number of kite flying competitions are held. People also take a dip in the holy river Ganga to purify themselves.
Jaipur Literature Festival: -
The Jaipur Literature Festival was started in 2006 and is the biggest literary fest today in the Asia Pacific. It is a five day festival in January and is attended by both Indian and foreign authors who indulge in reading and discussion sessions. The audience has a chance to get autographed books. In the evenings, various musical shows are held. The literary festival is a must visit if you are a bookworm.
Food in Jaipur: -
Inhospitable Rajasthan, you will find all cuisines adapted to your liking. Rajasthan’s own food is very delicious and is definitely recommended to all tourists. The most popular food of Rajasthan is undoubtedly dal-baati-churma and lalmass (red meat) along with ghewar, a sweetmeat.
You can check out various cafes in Jaipur such as the Anokhi Café and Spice Court if you want to sample the Rajasthani fare. There are restaurants such as Jaipur Modern Kitchen and Brown Sugar if you just want to hang out and have continental snacks. Of course, you have options like the Cinnamon (Taj) and the Suvarna Mahal if you prefer a sophisticated meal setting. And if you are like most Indians, be sure to visit Fashion Street and Bapu Bazaar for street food that will tickle your taste buds.

Chances are good if you have been to a yoga class lately that you have heard your teacher mention the chakra system. There might have even been a rainbow colored chart, t-shirt or tattoo of the chakras somewhere in the room. The way the chakras are talked about today range from the woo-woo metaphysical rainbow colored swirling vortices of energy to the more psychological Jungian archetypes. The Chakras can be though a poetic and profound map that we can utilize to identify imbalance and helpful tool to navigate towards harmony. Join us for two opportunities to explore different ways to have an embodied experience of the chakra system utilizing mantra, yantra, meditation and Yoga Nidra. Holding but one thing dear, I glance around taking in my last few particulars, storing up existence fodder for the next go round, when from a great cloud of sewer steam and taxi exhaust materializes an imposing mirage… Her feline grace bare, unclothed, riding a pale drift of clove smoke – A Devi creating, preserving, destroying, all without a single movement…
Drams of ambrosia pour from somewhere even higher than these sky-piercing glass-lingam rooftops to shower her swells of fallow lust; a thousand stunned countrymen are locked mid-commute, their destinations moments ago all-important, all-encompassing and now entirely forgotten… She runs a playful hand across hazy pink nipple and giggles – unaware of her growing horde of admirers.
It must be a sign! – A grainy photograph, an ad for perfume! An ad for the temptation of addiction – feeding our addiction to temptation… A pitchfork singeing the eye, loosed from flaming bow...
But how can I get down there? Even one Kaya into the great old celestial lightshow, I’m struck dumb by her limitless perfections laid bare… I feel blessed, even in this state of high-street marketplace confusion… I place a finger to open temple…
A resonant tone hums from every mouth that stands nearby, gaping without extending word of aid – Spiked rings of Sri Yantra surround each body like protective nets –
A car backfires, I wince, a thousand mandalas shatter into frantic ripples of panic – The ripples cascade upward where they shimmer the clouds and constellations – I lie, gaze anchored to the firmament, far above crumbling buildings into the same sky overlooking every city with a hum of migrating wings beating pulses in sync with my own… If I immerse myself in, all lines become phallic and all circles leak a tiny red dot upon white lace coverlet...
No mind can distinguish between fantasy and physicality, I once explained to a sullen stranger – I’m thinking of Olivia and I making love on a bridge over the unbridled current of a great blue-black ocean...
The Sun caroming, dispersed into a million glistening jewels of flame on the water’s crust, the reflected heat warming our bare skin... Images of our escapades flicker on brick storefronts… Sex in limousines, windows wide open spreading our screams like tails of red paint across the city – Mouth buried deep between her slick thighs in the bathroom of a snooty French restaurant; her bare ass on the ledge of a white marble sink, her fingers knotted in my hair grinding her pelvis in rhythm with the impatient knocking on the door – Fucking like feral cats in an alleyway, my back enmeshed with a pile of rancid black trash bags, empty cans rattle and clank…
“It’s so much better with rats scurrying round their ubiquitous shadowed homes,” this old alcohol-beaten professor used to tell all the girls, and all the gin-soaked sailors looking for an erotic word to get their pants off – Thrown into fits of the passion he could never find alone – Trash cans and bar bands singing a tune just for them… But I keep those images to myself. Instead, I’m jacking-off on this goddamn street corner to found photos of a lovely girl with hiked-skirt pressed flat against magazine gloss inches from my panting face… She’s lying on hardwood floor, smooth pink skin rolling beneath outlines of my dry chapped fingers… White shirt, mostly unbuttoned, tussled around sinuous midriff, musky perfume evaporates in heat ripples off the concrete – Heart pumps, stomach churns, sweat beads, cock ejaculates just as hard – My hands and her arched belly merge as spilt ink in gossamer waters – caressed by the other until both water and ink dissolve in a fresh creation naked and straddling an invisible lover’s neck…
Oh, fated Ixion, I too must share your fiery revolving torment… It’s clear now; it is far too late for me to avoid the dim lights on this revolution… I’m too skittish and fearful to recognize my own transcendent radiance...
Oh, to be even a Once-Returner! A dream!
Likely I’ve hardly entered the Stream but with one shriveled big toe… So much delusion to put off and so few hours of consciousness before me… Again, a barbed pitchfork singeing the eye… loosed from flaming bow…
Mara, you gloriously cruel bastard! Withdraw your haggard daughters and remove your plague! You are powerless! Powerless! Your daughters are ugly and rotten; they are assembled and revolting. They stink like the putrefying meat from which they are cobbled! They’re dribbling from every orifice, thick pus, rancid milky fluids – They’re wrinkled and sprouting out patches of thick black fur sagging with dark moles and stretching elastic tattoos... Thinning hair grey and white, eroded cartilage, slipped vertebrae and plastic knee replacements… On walkers they hobble, in wheelchairs they wail high on Darvocet, delusional with dementia… Incontinent urine runs through their lacey silk panties while green shit leaks from cellulite cheeks. Their mouths full of black gums, rotting teeth and nagging, constant rancid nagging, demands of duty and mortification... All these visions of form are fleeting! One renegade sperm and a lifetime of attachment ensues... From her curdled ass straight to my mouth!
My gods, my gods, not unlike the revolting hirsute nature of my own bacteria-riddled flesh… These are egoistical joys, ephemeral and self-serving… The most divine portraits and sculptures age even with their subjects frozen in their prime. I am not frozen, nor will I ever be, so I cannot maintain the brief roving lust for beauty… To be held like that doll... Cherished, nursed, protected by those slender arms and narrow chest. Huddled against breast warm and heaving – Smell of clean powders... Gripped like the clammy hand of a boy, cheeks flushed in a shy grin. Doesn’t want his friends to see them together, but can’t bear to let her run away... Pressed lips to my forehead with the gentle affection she shows her sleeping kitten – This honest sedentary love…
Her buoyant form, perfectly sacred – The inwardly curving small of back soft and precious – Her arm that hides a cheek’s milky blush – Slight shoulders of easy confidence – Thinly defined legs smooth and toned, down to moisturized feet and petite toes arrayed in green polish and summer sandals – Her unpainted countenance enchants me so I stare and then blush, myself nearly caught – Her defined feminine jaw, her chin, its dimple, its red line of contemplation – Large dark eyes framed by auburn hair thick and radiant – Her elfin ear, revealed by a sweep of her fingers, then gone...
When I take her hand in mine, hallelujah! Spring’s thaw at last! Sprouts of tender green – A buzzing bee takes flight – Thick taste of nectar… The fields reclaimed! – Tiny fingers swaddled in broken palm. Her fine downy arm pressed to my own, shoulder against shoulder – The weight of our bodies neutralized. Our footsteps in rhythm, triplets, with a small skip between repetitions. Giggling at the sparks cascading through our stomachs, once joined at the navel... Creatures of the gods are we tonight…
But what magic do these gods possess? This magic is barren… This magic is equal parts Romance and Carnal Desire. Subtract Carnal Desire and leave Romance – you’re left with a weak watered down ideal of vague destiny like thin decaf coffee film on the roof of your mouth… Leave Lust and take away Romance –  at least the hot tingle from Svadisthana still functions wildly, burning, spinning, sending us running in inert circles bathed in cold sweat, craving the oozing pheromones of suitable mates, jacking-off in white shower stalls to memories of high shorts creeping up firm alabaster thighs, tiny glimpses of pink cotton exposed and magnified a thousand lurid times... This at least feels a little like magic because it outruns Reason. Reason annihilates Romance like a candle vanquishing the darkness of a small room. The word magic is derived from the Sanskrit maya, meaning illusion. Poof… Romance is Hollywood’s drug of choice. Romance is societal pressure to feel attractive and prove your desirability and worth. Romance is an archetypal myth.  Reason disposes of the mirage. Reason will not, however, brush even a single hair from Lust’s glistening brow…
Fingers embalmed together keep the spark of that romantic enchantment alive. Analysis douses the spark, suffocating it in a brilliant snuff of musty smoke…
A booming voice resounds through my ears… Male? Female? I can’t discern anything anymore. Can anyone else hear it? What’s it matter if they could? It only matters to me right now. No one else… “At the bottom is the flesh on flesh act of sex which is, at best, boring, functional, mundane and even a bit embarrassing in its messy vulnerability. But grafted above it is the artificial skin of eroticism, which could be just as easily grafted over any structural artifice – food, music, sports, religion – all of the naughty nurse, sexy school girl fascination has little to do with sex, but with our own fabrication of an edifice of pleasure from which to hang our molten sorrows and crippling fear of all that we can never fathom…”
