i just think it is bonkers BONKERS that cal and logan are Like That. like on a fundamental level it’s crazy.

adversarial coworkers who get on eachother’s nerves despite having to work together for the betterment of the team (and it’s not even random positions like RF/3B or something, it is pitcher/catcher which is the most intertwined psychosexual shit you can watch on tv for free) until their relationship gets so strained that they have to sit down and have a long talk in the locker room and get their grievances out in the open (???). and slowly they start to work together and cooperate and put aside their own baseball-nerd-fueled stubbornness and find a flow. and their baseball nerd brains work together and become a duo. and they become friends, too. and roommates! (???) and they get called up during the same season to the same team and share a rookie season. like the FOUNDATION is actually crazy. that’s the premise of a romcom. and then they are like that on our tv every single game. the mound visits and the post game interviews and the commercials. logan riding shotgun in the big dumper trucking truck. like….?

in my experience, containment breach means that a fandom post has leaked out of the fandom container and is reaching people who have never heard of, or at least never cared about, the original intended subject of the post. I love that the f1 people have

1. somehow invented the exact inverse -- taking a non-fandom post that was floating past and dragging it into the fandom container with them, such that a substantial fraction of the notes are from people talking about something other than the original intended subject of the post

and

2. nonetheless all tagged your post containment breach, as though it started as an f1 post

Onto the meat of the fujos: it is extremely funny and extremely baffling. I also love how everyone is tagging it for different ships but keeping the one central guy. or saying it's a 7 word fanfic. I'm sure f1 fandom is having fun, but personally I prefer there to be like. Plot. And words. in my fanfiction. I'm not into motogp but someone I follow has a motogp au where those blorbos are late roman empire princeps. It's fanfiction let's give them magic powers or giant robots yknow? Not just coincidentally seeing their name a couple times.

5. How many wips do you have? What fandoms/pairings are they for? if by wips you mean ones i'll never finish? i have a reader insert for it's always sunny (dead end), an audrey/dorothy bdsm fic for all creatures great and small (going nowhere), and a third part in my bob dylan/john/reader series (no legs). plus a j/p scifi-fantasy fic where john loses his dick. my only active wip is for the monkees, where mike nesmith and davy jones get beat up for being long haired weirdos.

30. How much do you edit your fics? Do you edit as you write, or wait until you finish the first draft? this is not a good thing, but what you see is mostly what you get. i do the bulk of editing in my head before i write. i get sort of married to certain turns of phrase and reluctant to change them. don't be like me.

48. Who is your favorite character to write for? Has this changed since you've started writing for that fandom? bob dylan all day. bd was my first venture into rpf and hes been the most fun to write since. there was a period where i liked writing john pov the most, because his inner monologue came easily to me, but as a yankee bob's dialect is the closest to my own. actually in that respect maybe i most prefer writing joan baez
