The Tragic Yande-Ray and his Rabbid (A Collab Between me and raving_rabbid._ on Instagram)

Yande-Ray Chibi - while I'm not a huge fan of him, is someone I still created to be a tragic villain, originally acting as a foil to the original Rayman Chibi. Despite his suffering, he had everything: a loving partner, an army of Rabbids that he tamed at his disposal, and even a cool look (which he definitely didn't steal from any other Dark Raymans).

But Yande-Ray... isn't so much of a yandere as his name implies. Sure, he's crazy, he's possessive of his Rabbid partner, and he's had a history of "discarding" whoever he's lost love to... but that's not really what a yandere completely is, is it?

No, really, he's only ever truly nice to Raving and Raving only. They are his partner, he is their boyfriend. If anyone, and I mean anyone, seems to get in the way of their love, neither will hesitate to "discard" that obstacle and maybe even talk it out asking if they're okay. Even if that obstacle turns out to hate either one of them? You can guarantee that they're going to hurt them either way.

So what about his backstory? Well, it's kind of simple. He was originally a normal Rayman from an alternate dimension that follows the Rayman trilogy and then some up until Rayman Raving Rabbids, where he gets not only captured, but brainwashed thanks to a device made by Professor Barranco III. The Professor wanted to control him and make him do his bidding... but it did the complete opposite, and he broke free of his boundings and had to be... put to sleep in the simplest of terms... for his future life as entertainment to the Rabbids.

Once he was free, he found himself in a land full of Rabbids. It's not that they've managed to invade all of the land... but the damage they've done is clearly visible. Suddenly, he understood why they're doing this: they put him in their shoes. They used to be everyone else's entertainment. And now the very hero that everyone so loved has been reduced to nothing but a clown.

But rather than fight back... Yande-Ray just... joins their side. He gathered several Rabbids to be his army and to be by his side. People were brought to him by them, and they were to be his date until they did or say something he didn't like... and were then... "discarded", according to Yande-Ray himself. Eventually, this had Yande-Ray frustrated, but then a Rabbid came up to him and offered to be his partner... and wouldn't you know it, it worked out, and the two officially started their romantic relationship. This... was him quitting. No one understood the Rabbids' pain... but he did. And so... everything was under his rule... only... not quite.

Professor Barranco still had a handful of Rabbids with him, and, despite seemingly having had the same fate as the rest of his kind, he had to be interrogated. Yande-Ray still couldn't wholeheartedly forgive him for the attempted brainwashing, as well as certain other things his loyal Rabbids told him, and he came up to him so they could talk. There was some fighting and war and whatnot, but in the end, Barranco gave Yande-Ray and his group independent rights, and even gave them a large area of land to rule over.

All this, however, was only a victory he couldn't be happy at for long. With Raymi, she's in a business that she's grown tired of. And yet, she's much happier and strives to keep going because of her friends and family. And Mr Dark too, I guess. She is doing a job where she is to constantly act and direct things to no end, and she still does it because of the people she loves. Yande-Ray, on the other hand, couldn't lift a finger after getting what he wanted, and this led to him losing the definition of happiness.

This wouldn't leave my head but Thingamajig!Player just trolling the Villain and Yandere Chain with full on cartoon shenanigans.

Rayman Legends introduced the concept of jumping into paintings to travel so I can imagine Player making a few involving different spots they been through different eras. Mecha was shoved through the one depicting Wild's house cause the human turned Thingamajig had a gut feeling the Villain Chain won't keep their word.

They don't follow and instead dip as we all know these guys would misuse those paintings. Both groups thought it be easy to catch Player since they're now alone. NOPE! What our Links get is epic trolling on Looney Tunes Road Runner levels.

Chrono ends up running into a wall as Player ran up via cartoon physics. Wither has their glider ruined mid flight with a aimed Power Shot while dear Guide glides to safety. Oberon finds a painting ends being a trap as he gets punched in the face through it by Player.

They definitely did one of those cartoon kisses before bolting partly to piss off said Link's respective group. Player is gonna get back to their Chain but might've as well have some fun while at it.

We love our cartoon hijinks! The thought of the Villains and Yanderes stumbling around unable to comprehend what's happening is just hilarious to me MCMWMXMS

Some yandere rayman hcs!!

Notes: reader uses we/ours pronounce and sometimes you/your pronounce, rayman 3 rayman and rayman raving rabbids are the same rayman just during different times, same gose for chl rayman and ramon, the rayman raving rabbids section lenses on self aware, in the fakeman section it's stated that were from another universe (our world).

Ubiarts' rayman (origin/ legends): very obsessive and clingy, we like to think that rayman (most game rayman, but especially ubiarts') make friends by walking with people and following them around (especially since many people know who he is), so doesn't know what to do when actaly attracted to us and just amps it up to 100. Tho with ubiarts' rayman being quite goofyer it blends in to his personality, in a way that everyone is just like "yep that's how he acts... hm I think he has a crush on you".

Rayman 3: pretty much ubiarts' but just more. Following us around and being clingy, but now in a way that seems alot more worring. It doesn't blend into his personality as much as it does with ubiarts' (most likely do to the fact that he plays more of a straight man roll in rayman 3, keep in mind that it's not that he's less goofy, but that ubiarts' is MORE goofy)

Rayman raving rabbids: do to ubisoft and the fans (not fans, but the casual players) deciding to focus on rayman less, he wants all of our attention on him, ONLY HIM. Don't focus on other ubisoft games that were coming out, don't focus on the rabbids, only focus on him. I like to think that rayman ( especially closer to the end of the raving rabbids series/ tv party) became winny ( they portray him as more pathetic in raving rabbids), not only now fighting for the player's attention but wanting us to "fix" it, in the sense that everything was going wrong and he wanted us to beat the rabbids over there heads with a metal bat (we would for you baby <3).

Fakeman: fakeman is patient, and is especially patient with us, he knows that at some point we'll love him, and hurting us can cause us to retreat from him, so he'll be patient. Wal fakeman isn't content with just watching our day to day, there hast to be something to push him over the edge and take us (example: raymon getting too close, something dangerous in our life happens, or we finally get outed for being an illegal immigrat from another dimension).

Chl rayman: NEEDS our attention, thinks of us before he goes out into the show to feel better, and then essentially dose the show for us (acts in ways that he thinks we'd like, tho no one can tell cus he already acted like that on stage), whether or not we actually watch, witch he won't find out until later down the line. Sends orders to us from eden like food, or something he thinks we want. Tryes to find/ be in a cute met-cute place in the area that were in, but is almost always busy or worried that people will recognize him and he'll get swormed.

Raymon: thrown into the deep end, ALOT more paranoid now that he knows about the things eden was keeping from him, and in thus stocks us. Before he could only imagine what we were feeling at any given moment, but now he can know. Will stock our fridge with food and buy us essentials if he has the money for it. Will get angry if anyone tells us not to eat the food he brings cus "who knows who brought it" and "it could be poisoned", we've eaten the food he brought before, why would anyone deny you food. Will get worried if we have any of his merch, but will usually let it slide (especially if we let's say, had a body pillow of him in our bed)
