Can you imagine modern day Polin where Colin just happens to stop by Penelope and Eloise's apartment only to find Penelope in heat. Long story short it sets off Colin's rut and the two are mated. Colin of course hugs Penelope afterwards and promises to take responsibility. Little does Penelope know that Colin knew very well that she would be in heat (his sister had hissed at him to stay away from their apartment for the next few days) and decided to take his chances.

Of course, little does he know that Penelope had been scheming as well.

Ooooh, it's been a minute since we've done a new au. Yanderes and ABO, this should be fun. We should come up with one for Regency era as well.

Wait I have an idea.

Colin was growing agitated. How long was he expected to wait? It's been years since he found his mate again, and he can't even claim her? Daphne, Anthony, and Benedict can all claim their mates, or at least attempt to the moment they meet again, but Colin has to watch other alphas try to seduce his omega? (Not that any of those interlopers lived long enough to see those seeds that planted bear any fruit.) All because Colin took too damn long to sort through his feelings in their past life? He knows his feelings now so why would he cause both himself and, more importantly, his omega any further pain?

It does not help that Eloise has assigned herself as Penelope's gaurd dog. Colin can't kill her like he could with any outsider that would try to take his Pen. Any attempt Colin has made of turning his and Penelope's relationship away from friendly feelings Eloise was there to ruin the moment. If Colin didnt know better, and he has truly checked, he would believed Eloise was somehow tracking Penelope.

Colin is half tempted to find Phillip again so he can throw the passive alpha at Eloise in hopes he'll unknowingly distract her once more. Just long enough for Colin to place his bite on Penelope's mating gland.

Thoughts of where Phillip could be were interrupted when the driver pulled up to the apartment building. Colin was not in the country much, which he full blames Anthony for. His elder brother insists that they all have a similar lifestyle as their past lives in the Regency era to help with their mates' past memories. So there was no need to really keep a residence. In an effort to calm Colin from doing anything too crazy it was agreed that when he was in the country, he would stay at Eloise and Penelope's place. That way Colin can make sure no other unworthy scum was trying to take away his omega.

Colin tiped the driver and ignored the vibration in his pocket. He had no energy nor patience to deal with his siblings until he got a Penelope recharge. Twice, he was delayed on this trip from returning home. That put him at three months with nothing but emails and phone conversations with Penelope. He needed to see her in person and wrap his arms around her. Thankfully, this lifetime is more friendly to physical affection.

Stepping inside, a wave of pheromones rushed over Colin, almost sending him to his knees.

His alpha purred.

Another vibration in his pocket and Colin finally looked at his phone. He had several missed calls and texts from his siblings, mostly from Eloise. He was careful to read the notifications and not open the messages.

Eloise: Colin don't go to the flat. Come to mothers and I shall explain there.

So this heat was not Eloise. Colin wasn't surprised, Eloise's sent was that of honeysuckle, rather than the one he was smelling now.

Eloise:Penelope's birth control failed and now she's in heat. We need to stay away for a few days.

Colin's heart sped up, and his cock went hard. His Penelope, his omega mate was in heat. He let out a moan has he once again took in that delicious scent.

Colin had to find his omega. None of his siblings could stop him now that his omega is in heat and needs him. He has to find her, breed her, and most importantly mark her as his.

Letting his senses lead him he found himself not outside of Penelope's bedroom but his own. His omega was surrounded by him. In her heat addled brain she had chosen him. Colin couldn't wait to sink into her.

Opening the door Colin couldn't help but gasp at the most beautiful sight before him. In his bed his omega had created her nest. Penelope laid there naked as she worked her fingers on herself, moaning and searching for release.

Colin was burning, he had to get to Penelope.

Penelope turned her head, eyes glazed over with heat lust. "Alpha," she moaned.

"Yes Pen, it's your alpha," Colin said as he walked over to her.

As soon as he was close enough Penelope sat up and grabbed his shirt.

"Alpha," Penelope panted. "Alpha I need . . .

"Shh, I got you omega," Colin whispered. Pulling Penelope close so her he could feel her breasts pressed against him, Colin began to suck on her mating gland. A smile formed when Penelope dropped her head to give him better access. He could feel her hands working at his belt.

"Colin!" Penelope gasped.

With great strength Colin pulled himself just enough to look at Penelope, but still held her perfect body to his. Her eyes were now clearer from that lust fog as she stared up at him.

"Hello Penelope," Colin said.

A blush began to form on his goddess of an omega. Colin wanted nothing more than to lay her back down and finish what she started of ridding his clothes. "Colin, I'm in heat."

"Yes," Colin agreed. The need to claim her getting stronger. His alpha growling at him.

Colin began sucking on the very edge of Penelope's mating gland.

Penelope gripped Colin tighter, letting out a moan. Her sensitive nipples rubbing against the fabric of his shirt.

"Can I stay?" Colin whispered in Penelope's ear. "Pretty please Pen?"

Colin traveled higher on her mating gland. Penelope tried laying down and pulling Colin with her. Colin easily followed his mate.

"Please let me stay," Colin whispered, now above Penelope and rubbing his covered erection against her dripping folds.

Colin could feel Penelope nod.

"Stay," she said.

Colin bit Penelope's mating gland.

Penelope smiled as she played with her sleeping mate's hair. They were both currently temporarily relieved of their heat and rut. Colin had taken this time to sleep, exhausted from his travel and regained mate. Penelope took the time to reflect on how well their plan went. It had taken some time and careful moves but she finally was back with her mate.

Contrary to what the Bridgertons believed their mates remembered like them. But unlike the Bridgertons, Penelope and her fellow in-laws knew they had to be careful. The world has advanced and things that were allowed or looked over before couldn't be so easily disguised now.

The Bridgertons had burned London before for their mates, and would do so again. Penelope and her in-laws are determined that the Bridgertons don't burn in that same fire.

Her and her in-laws had agreed that they would mate in the same order as they did before, pretend to not have the memories as it was easier to manage their Bridgertons when they thought their mates were "innocent."

They may have sped up the timeline though.

It was honestly quite easy to plan as Penelope looked back on it. Penelope had stopped taking her actual birth control and replaced it with placebo pills supplied to her by an associate of Phillip. So when Eloise was spying on her to take her birth control she would be none the wiser. Three months of taking those pills and Penelope's body had righted itself for heat.

Simon helped with pushing back Colin's return home. He easily had access to Anthony's work computer where he could push back dates on Colin's travel tickets and then delete emails about the travel changes before Anthony could see them.

Kate and Sophie greatly helped Penelope by keeping Anthony and Benedict distracted. The only two alphas strong enough to stop Colin at this point.

Penelope smiled and traced the mark on her neck, all according to plan.

Now onto the next two. Penelope's childhood friends Phillip and Michale should be coming for a visit soon.

Where the Bridgertons are the rulers of the Goblin court and their spouses are adults who have drawn the attention of the fae, as either kids or adults and the fae court wants to lure them into the fae lands by making them run the Labrynth, so they kidnap their ‘children’ aka, their younger siblings.

Kate went to a town fair with her little sister and in the process of getting rid of a guy that was way too confident in himself, she insulted the Goblin king, probably told a glamoured Anthony to his face that he wasn’t that attractive and that his flirting didn’t work on her. So Anthony took little Edwina as petty revenge and now Kate has to brave the fae lands to rescue her. But she’s not letting him win, and she sure isn’t letting him have her sister! That overconfident jerk.

Simon actually was rescued from the Labrynth by his Aunt Danbury when he was a kid, apparently ‘the little Duchess Daphne’ of the Goblin court took a linking to him when his father wished him away, but Aunt Agatha rescued him. Now as an adult, with the disappearance of Aunt Agatha, Simon was left as the sole guardian of his 14 yo cousin Gareth, and somehow the fae have taken him as payment for Simon. And now, it turns out, that the little duchess who used to like him, is not so little anymore. And Daphne still thinks he’s handsome.

Penelope actually broke a promise when she was a child to one of the members of the Goblin court. As a kid she used to think they were imaginary friends, since she lived in a very old house near the forest, so she had no problem promising she would marry the handsome boy who liked to play with her in the garden in exchange for having someone in her family who loved her. When her sister Felicity was born, Penelope’s family moved away, and she forgot her promise, now she’s back in Mayfair, and it seems like her handsome imaginary friend, isn’t that imaginary,  or that benevolent anymore. How was she supposed to know Colin was the most chaotic brother of the Goblin king? Or that he’d take his gift back, in order to force Penelope to come to him.

Phillip didn’t know that the very pretty girl who used to sit by the lake with him when the twins were born, was some sort of magical creature. Eloise was kind, a little eccentric but she listened to him when he was a struggling new dad. She seemed to like the newborns too. So when Marina started to lose her temper more and more, with the onset of her illness, it was natural for Phillip to confide in his nice mysterious friend. He didn’t expect Marina to have an accident in the lake shortly after that. He had to move away because of the accident. He knew something was wrong with the lake and feared something could happen to him and the kids. He didn’t know Eloise could be patient, waiting until he came back to Mayfair, with his cute little twins. Ready to be fully lured into the Goblin court.

Araminta always told Sophie that one day the Goblins would come to take her back because she wasn’t really her father’s kid, but rather an unnatural bastard left on their doorstep and sure she sometimes dreamed about being spirited away when she was asleep, but she didn’t want little Posey to be stolen by the fae when Araminta wished for Sophie to be gone instead. A very handsome Goblin offered to help her find and rescue Posey, but the thing is that he also seemed to want her to be his mistress in the Goblin court. Ugh what had she gotten herself into?

Finally, wickedly flirtatious Michael, who lost all his family in a freak house fire that left him and 6 yo Lucy as the sole survivors. Michael only survived because a beautiful fae girl from the Goblin court was there during the fire and let them live because she used to like his dead cousin John (who in that house had offended the bloody fae??, Michael always suspected it had been Lucy’s uncle). Michael of course raised Lucy as well as he could, far away from Mayfair. Until he came back for a visit and the messenger from the Goblin court appeared, letting him know that the lady Francesca was no longer satisfied with their last bargain and now she wanted Michael to provide a playmate for her little brother Gregory. But Michael didn’t want Lucy to be taken forever by the Goblin court. So if the sister of the Goblin King wanted him to be wicked, he would show her wicked.   

Cue Kate, Simon, Penelope, Sophie, Phillip and Michael teaming up to run in the Labyrinth and survive the respective traps set by the fae in order to rescue their siblings. Maybe I just want to see the Bridgertons hosting the most decadent fae masquerade ever, while their significant others are decked to the nines in the most exquisite finery known to men, dancing to music that’s too good to be true. But also extremely suspicious of these very powerful fae that claim to love them, but are still, technically kidnapping kids to keep them from leaving the fae lands.

(In Eloise defence, she always planned to adopt Phillip’s cute twins, it’s not kidnapping because she technically never planned to give them back.. Anthony, Colin, Benedict and Daphne yes that qualifies as kidnapping, and Hyacinth is getting way too chummy with Gareth but look at Francesca, she never intended to keep Lucy for long, sure, Gregory did get a strange fixation and he did want to keep Lucy forever, but the point is, Francesca was okay with returning Lucy to the human world after a few days, Michael just took her summons the wrong way and that’s the story they’re sticking to if he survives the labyrinth)

 I just think this is an au that’s been running through my head and @sea-owl would understand why.

Any who I’m getting side tracked…

For those who have not watched the show, in Bridgerton, Penelope is Lady Whistledown, an incognito gossip writer that often exposes secrets and scandals in the nobility and this tends to have one of three outcomes, it could completely ruin someone’s reputation which is social suicide in high society like Eloise Bridgerton being exposed as being a feminist and socializing with the lower class. The second is that it could help someone get out of a bad situation like when Daphne Bridgerton was engaged to a horrible man with no way out, but when she heard about the horrible things this man did she wrote about it and basically said to get out of town which freed Daphne from this bad engagement. Then in some situations it’s both.

Then another thing to know is that the queen has a love hate relationship with the works of Lady Whistledown, likes it when it praises her at first but then grows to hate it when it spites the queen or proves her wrong…

So going into this!

Mycroft’s darling is labeled as a wallflower since the moment she came of age, someone who is quiet does not socialize with most of the ton. How she gets her media for her column is listening at all these high end parties and balls. She listens into all the gossip and whispers that the others speak of.

She watches the matches be made and queen rejoicing in the matches that she helps make and writes of these matches and other unsavory things in the ton and since no one cares about her no one suspects her as the writer.

That until her words iterates the royal family…

Mycroft Holmes is going to speak to the queen in the early morning right when the column comes out…

The moment he comes into the room he sees the queen absolutely fuming, a pamphlet in hand…

“Find her.”

He finally reads the pamphlet after the queen’s command and his eyes widen in shock as he reads the content. It’s about the prince’s affair with Irene Adler; the one who stole the papers though the papers go unmentioned.

The queen was already starting not to like the author, but now this mystery woman has dug her own grave…

Now the face of Mycroft is now seen at almost all the season’s events, watching and socializing with all the aristocracy, looking through all the families of the ton which soon lands on the family of his darling.

He meets her mother and at the ball, introducing him to the other members of her family and then when she looks for her last daughter to introduce to him, she’s gone.

The absence practically proves her identity as the author, but perhaps a bit more evidence would do good and not to mention the said punishment for exposing the royal family because something like imprisonment or death would be to severe for a young lady.

He visits their estate in the morning to meet the young lady. He speaks to her mother about to ask about her-

“Mama, have you seen my journal? I thought I left it in the- oh apologies, I did not know we were having guests.”

He sees her stepping into the drawing room doorway as she calls out to her mother, the lady of the house. He turns to look at her and she is beautiful, perhaps not considered beautiful by most but she has an intelligent look about her which is more lovely to him than any makeup or expressive clothing. It is almost hard to believe that this is the woman who is exposing the secrets of the high society, but just by looking at her it all adds up…

The ink stain on her fingertips and wrist…

The slight bags under her eyes that are covered by makeup…

And then the paper cut on her right thumb.

He begins courting her, originally to uncover solid evidence that she is the author. The gifts he gives her at first are things most other woman would enjoys, jewelry, clothing, flowers, but then the gifts begin to change as he begins to know her even more, books, calligraphy supplies, and just his time.

And he begins to fall in love with her weeks of outings, parties, and visits…

He visits their estate again one day and her mother told him that she was visiting her friend at the moment but he was more than welcome to wait for her. He sits in the drawing room to see that her journal was set out in the table, and he reads it…

And in it is all the evidence he needs.

“Mycroft?”

He looks up to see her standing in the doorway, just having returned a moment ago. Her eyes are wide in shock as he holds her open journal in his hands. But then a look of realization comes across her face.

“You knew didn’t you? You were just using me to find out.”

He tries to speak to her but she waves him off, walking upstairs to her bedroom and locking herself within. He has what he was asked to find but lost what he wanted.

In the next few weeks and after a number of conversations with the queen they come to an agreement that pleases them both, a fitting punishment for her and a reward for him.

After his darling returns home after meeting with a friend or two she sees her mother talking to Mycroft in the drawing room, an over joyed expression on her face as she looks to her daughter.

“Mr. Holmes has asked for your hand in marriage.”

Her heart sinks at hearing this and she is enraged, but it’s for the best really and perhaps she will realize that as she is standing in the altar with him, dressed in white. Her punishment is being under constant surveillance, preventing her from writing and his reward is her, and her fate is all but sealed when he says those words.

Portia Featherington watches in horror as her third born daughter blushes a pretty pink. Her eyes are bright as she stares at the charming Bridgerton boy who reassures with a grin that he takes full responsibility for his fall.

As if Portia did not witness the devious twitch to her childs lips.

As if Portia herself had not ensured the girls bonnet had been tightly tied beneath her chin before leaving their home in warning.

Portia knew the risk of bring THAT child out of their home, but she could not leave her husband alone with Penelope either. The man was a fool, an idiot but Portia was fond enough of him. He was a useful sheild, a decent distraction for the many secrets she was cursed to bury due to the curse of her lineage.

Portia would be a widow the second she walked out the door. Penelope had never been able to hide the wicked thoughts her cursed mind entertained from Portia. Not when the older woman was incrediblly familiar with how far a mind of that nature would go......

Terror crawled down Portia spine as she watches Penelope dreamily fixate on that Bridgerton and she was crying out her daughters name in barely contained fear.

*Background for Portia Idea: I imagine in this Au Portia had a Yandere sister who loved her deeply. I want Portia to be Stockholmed from being the center of her sisters love /obsession. I want her to have loved her sister, but to know she was not safe. Anyway, Portia escapes the clutches of her sister (The sister died, still not sure how but she dead) and Portia is trying to move on. She does.....until Penelope is born and Portia immediately recognizes those oh so familiar personality traits. The ton/Bridgertons think Portia cruel and callous for her treatment, but that's because they don't understand...... Portia is trying to keep the safe from worst of her daughters nature. Because.....Portia had loved her sister just as deeply back, and she loves Penelope so much more.....and she is terrified of losing her daughter the way she did.*

Alright folks I think it’s time, and excuse me for my awful grammar I am currently high off my meds, for us to discuss what kind of yanderes the Bridgertons would be.

Yes! We are taking a darker turn for our beloved Bridgertons.

I’ll go first, I think Colin’s the manipulative kind of yandere. It’s HC that he’s naturally the most charming Bridgerton and I can definitely see him use this to his advantage to avoid raising any suspicions from the Ton. Whether he uses it with his family or they’re all yanderes and they just find it normal for him to be like that is completely up to you folks. However, I can see how Penelope can easily fall for his sneaky ass.

Think about it, Colin knowing all this time that Penelope has a crush on him and thrives on her attention. He doesn’t like her back, no, (or he doesn’t think he does) and only uses her for validation because yes he can be a narcissistic bitch. So he spends years stringing her up, he knows what he’s doing, he can see how she stutters when he smiles at her the right way. Or when her eyes become a bit more tender when she looks up at him every time he seeks her out. He doesn’t think it’s wrong to get her hopes up, he finds it thrilling and for him he was doing her a favour for giving her a bit of his time. So for him, it’s a win-win. He gets some fun and attention out of this—until he meets ‘The One’, because ofc that’s going to be like a thing for all the yandere Bridgertons, finding ‘The One’— and she gets to live out some of her childish fantasies.

Then Penelope hears the ‘I am certainly not going to marry Penelope Featherington’ conversation between the Bridgerton Brothers and her rose tinted glasses come off. She’s hurt, devastated in fact, but then she realises he never ever saw her like that. He probably only saw her as his younger sister’s best friend, another younger sister if you must, and he never actually made any indication he actually liked LIKED her. Painful as it is, she then realises how foolish she was and decides to grow up and move on from her silly childhood crush. She still likes him, yes, but she knows it will never be and stops overanalysing every single thing Colin Bridgerton does and says. It’s disconcerting at first but it’s also kind of freeing. She finds herself more relaxed and her conversations with Colin and every Bridgerton comes easier now. With no pressure of pleasing the Bridgertons for the sake of keeping their approval, she finds that she really doesn’t mind voicing out her opinions and not forcing herself to converse with them. This ,unbeknownst to Penelope, gains the Bridgertons’ respect but maybe not so much for a certain clueless himbo.

He doesn’t understand why he feels so irritated when Penelope no longer gazes up at him with lovesick eyes or why he feels jealous when she no longer stops a conversation with one of his siblings to talk to him. All he knows is that everyone is taking away his “Pen time” and family or not, this has got to stop.

Of course, in his usual Colin “is a certified himbo” Bridgerton fashion, he doesn’t realise that he’s actually found “The One” until Pen’s realisation. Now, Colin Bridgerton is a man on a mission.

Unfortunately for him, Penelope has already done some growing up and isn’t as easy to manipulate like before. Colin doesn’t mind because of course his future wife and the love of his life was intelligent like that, so he ups his charms instead. He takes his time, he tries to rebuild their friendship, he hogs her attention under the guise of making it up to her. And he can see it work, the stuttering comes back—though not as bad as it was before but he’ll take it—and her eyes become tender when she looks at him again. Penelope thinks it’s because they finally know each other’s real selves, Colin knows it’s because he’s caught her in his trap again. Penelope might think she’s grown but he’s spent a much longer time manipulating and playing with people for his own gains.

Then he finds out about the Lady Whistledown thing and he falls even more in “love”.

Not only was his future wife intelligent, she was brilliant too. He believes that he and Penelope couldn’t be more compatible than they are now, both intelligent people who use their words to manipulate the Ton. This was also more leverage on Penelope should she decide to leave him. The carriage scene still happens but they definitely go all the way and he uses it to get them married as soon as possible, he refused to waste any more time and allow Penelope to regain her bearings and rethink his marriage proposal.

There’s no Lady Whistledown reveal, Cressida Cowper is silenced in a more brutal manner, and the popular columnist stays in business for a few more years. If the columns had more of his opinions than usual then it was no one’s business but his and his wife’s. They stay married and blissfully in love for the rest of their days, with Penelope none the wiser about what and who her husband really is.

He doesn’t think anything’s wrong with it. He and Penelope are in love. Compared to Anthony’s corporal punishments to subdue his snarky and bullheaded wife and Benedict’s forced isolation in the countryside, he thinks he’s done a pretty clean job of keeping his “The One”.

If it meant keeping those rose tinted glasses on Penelope and twisting things to his own benefit then so be it.

Penelope trier so hard to make Colin jealous to get that proposal out of him but NOTHING worked.

Simon, Kate, and Sophie all tried to help by giving different suggestions. Some being dancing with different gentlemen at balls, accidentally losing a fake love letter to a fake gentleman, and even pinching herself so hard it looked like a lover placed his mark.

Penelope got nothing for her troubles besides dead bodies. She didn't even want those! If Penelope wanted a dead body she do it herself!

"Stupid man!" Penelope groaned, flopping back onto the couch between Phillip and Michael. Eyes closed, she rested her head against Michael's shoulder.

Over the last couple of years, she had grown closer to the other Bridgerton in-laws and future in-laws. Her closest relationships are probably with Phillip and Michael. Phillip, since they both more on the introverted side, and had a shared desire of learning, even if it was in different subjects. Michael, on the other hand, just seemed to love collecting introverts as his friends.

"Out, out, out!" Penelope heard Kate say, most likely from the doorway. "No, Bridgertons allowed at the Spouses meeting!"

Penelope could hear the eye roll in Anthony's voice. "Half your members aren't even married to a Bridgerton."

He meant herself, Phillip, and Michael. Phillip had just come out of mourning, so that is why he and Eloise have yet to marry. Though they have been corresponding through letters. Michael has also been giving Francesca space after the death of her first husband until she is ready. Penelope herself is working on it.

"They're the closest thing we have," Kate argued back. "Now goodbye!"

With that, Kate closed the drawing room door.

What Penelope had not seen was Colin's eye twitch when he had seen her sitting between two unmarried men who were not related to her. Made even worse when she rested her head against Michael's shoulder. Her eyes closed in a way that signified trust in those two men.

Anthony and Benedict dragged him away.

"They are your sisters' soulmates," Anthony warned him. "You can't kill them like the others."

Colin felt himself growl. Fine then, a new strategy was needed.

He followed her after she left. She darted in and out of her own home. This time in a maid outfit and into a hired hack.

Colin fists clinched. Why did she need to wear a disguise?

Was she going to see a lover?

Penelope's hired hack made its way down Flint Street, stopping in front of a church. It was shaped like a wedding cake.

Colin felt his heart swoop. Over his dead body. If he found out his soulmate was having an affair with one of them, well, his sisters would make do with a slightly broken soulmate.

He watched her, waiting for her to notice him. He watched as she took out a letter and placed it in a pew. Was it a lover letter? Colin decided he would burn it.

Colin took a step closer, and he saw Penelope tense up, her hand slowly moving towards a slit in her skirt that would lead to her pockets.

She turned, and their eyes locked.

Penelope froze. "C-C-Co-"

"That would be Colin," Colin said as he came closer. One hand came up to cradle his tricky nymph's face while the other reached behind her for that wretched letter.

I wonder how Colin would react if he heard Pen say that if he indeed got her pregnant, she'd marry someone else. Like maybe he overhears Pen talking to Edwina who's still worried that she might fall pregnant but Pen just shrugs and says "Even if I am, I can always just pass of the child as another man's." And Yandere Colin goes ballistic because raising his child with another man???? No the fuck she won't.

For those wondering this an extension to this post.

Considering a part of him was probably hoping that she would get pregnant and then oh no now they have wed, but our children will be gorgeous! Yeah he would not take that news very well.

That baby would be his and Penelope's to raise. Their family members could help but he is not letting no other man be husband and father to his Penelope and his kid. He doesn't care if the kid doesn't exist yet, it is the principle of the matter damn it!

Colin was out in the market, charming many to first learn who holds Jack Featherington in high esteem and who doesn't. Then he can plan on who he has to on getting to see him as the sleaze he is.

It's by chance that he stumbles upon Edwina and Penelope, both of whom had not noticed him yet.

Penelope's hair is pulled back, giving Colin a view of her neck. The same neck he had nibbled on only a few nights before.

Penelope had kissed him in the carriage. That kiss quickly becoming more passionate as they found themselves lying on one of the benches. Her bodice pulled down with him sucking on her collar bone.

The kiss continued in his Bloomsbury home. Their clothes fell off their bodies as they fell into his bed. Entering into her warmth had felt like coming home. Doing it in front of the mirror had been a holy experience as he watched the pleasure he brought to his goddess.

"But Pen, what if you fall pregnant?" Edwina whispered to Penelope. Had Colin not been standing so close and paying attention he wouldn't have heard.

"Winnie relax," Penelope said, holding Edwina's hand. "I have faith in Phillip's contraception tea, and should it fail Phillip and I already plan to wed should we need to. If it happens then that plan will only be sped up."

What?

Should she fall pregnant with his child she would do what?

Absolutely not. He lost her in his previous life before, he will not lose her now.

Not to be outdone Colin walked right up to the two girls.

"Hello my love," Colin whispered to Penelope before capturing her lips with his own.

Younger Colin who loves his brothers best friend is very jealous of how ShowColin clearly had Pens affection and messed it up! Meanwhile, book Colin feels pretty smug about the fact that he’s married to Penelope and didn’t insult his Penelope as badly compared to the other guy. Gothic Featheringtons Colin, Yandere Colin and Hades Colin are comparing some of the scary yet sexy things their Penelopes have done. Though Hades Colin is very much judging Gothic Featheringtons Colin's pastel blue coat. Hades Colin is trying to convince Gothic Featheringtons Colin to give jewel tones a try. Childhood Friends Phillip and Penelope Colin is discussing with Featherington-Crane Stepfamily Colin about how their Phillips and Penelopes have absolutely no boundaries. True Mates Colin says his omega Penelope isn't quite that close with Phillip,ya but he is her pack alpha despite not being blood related, which puts them a lot closer than what is considered normal. Book and TV Colins are confused because since when was Penelope that close with Elosie's/Marina's husband? Swan Princess Colin says at least it's just Phillip and not Michael too. Then Spouses Friend Group Colin jumps in saying at least it's just Phillip and not all his siblings' spouses. Hades Colin agrees and says at least they don't randomly break into your house.

All the Colins pause when an 8-year-old Colin appears, a picture of a baby girl with red hair in his hand. Book Colin goes over to make sure the kid doesn't freak out. Kid Colin is confused but he's soon distracted when Book Colin asked him who the girl in the picture was. Kid Colin proudly tells him that the girl in the picture is his Pen, his future wife!

Ok so I know you said that you are following the books more closely with your Yandere Bridgerton au but if you were following the show plot line instead.... How would you explain Colin's infatuation? Is it a way to get Pen more jealous? A way to make her feel more attached to him due to the fear of losing him (like you mentioned is the best way to tie a bridgerton to you)? Whats your thoughts on it?

No, it's not bothersome at all. But how close are we talking about with the show plot line? I know I've said a lot of my aus mix show and book, and there's kind of a reason for that.

But that conversation is for another post. Onto your ask my lovely.

If I was to follow the show plot more closely for the Yandere Bridgertons au I would probably never have Colin be actually infatuated with Marina at all. I would have him fake being infatuated, because he is suspicious of Marina.

His line of "who is that?" when it comes to Marina isn't because he's interested in her. It more has to do with the fact he has seen her entering the ball with Penelope's family. Some random cousin has joined Penelope's family for the season so Colin wants to investigate because who is this person that is now in close quarters to his nymph?

Now lovelies we must remember that even though they are yanderes the Bridgertons still only share one brain cell. Colin did not have said brain cell when he decided to pretend to be a suitor to investigate Marina. Also if Colin gets to see his nymph be jealous from time to time as he's investigating it's like an extra treat for him. That jealousy will make it so much sweeter when he finally does claim her.

When Marina finally decides to set her sights on Colin as the husband she will try to pass off as her babies father, Colin definitely knew she was scheming something. Colin didn't know what it was but he knew Marina was up to something and he'll be damned if it brings any harm to Penelope or her family.

It wasn't until Penelope tried to warn Colin that he started to piece together Marina's true intentions.

"Colin," Penelope called.

Colin stopped, never one to ignore his nymph. "Pen?"

"There is something you must know," Penelope said, her face slightly flushed. She looked nervous, and one of her hands was playing with the fabric of her skirt.

Colin felt his eyes widened, a seed of hope in his chest. He thought it would take him longer to get Penelope agreeable to the idea of him as a lover and husband. If his nymph were to confess feeling for him Colin knew he would drop this fake courtship in that very moment.

"Marina," Penelope said, before taking a moment to pause. She bit her lower lip. Colin had to stop himself from leaning forward and grabbing it in his own teeth. "She is in love with another man."

Huh, that is not at all what Colin was hoping Penelope would say. That does bring a whole new suspicion to Colin's mind though. Giving Penelope a flimsy, false, excuse Colin made his way to the library where Marina was waiting.

There Marina had tried to kiss him, and Colin had to stop himself from throwing her to the side.

Marina had tried to seduce him. She had tried to kiss him. She had tried to trap his away from his nymph.

Colin felt his fist tighten. His nymph's warning came to mind. This woman who tried to seduce him was in love with another, but she was desperate to marry. There was only one reason for that.

Marina Thompson was with child, and Colin was going to kill her for daring to put his nymph's family on the line for ruin.

Colin proposed marriage, Marina accepted. Colin began his plans to kill her.

When Colin announced his new engagement Anthony had practically dragged Colin to his office.

"What is going through your head?" Anthony demanded. "Why would you propose to Miss Thompson when Penelope is your soulmate?"

Colin took a deep breathe, he was expecting this. Anthony is protective over the Bridgerton soulmates just like he was of their siblings. The Bridgertons protect their own.

"Miss Thompson has a scandal about her that will potentially ruin the Featheringtons," Colin explained. "I plan to take care of that scandal before a wedding can take place."

Anthony nodded, now understanding. "See that you do."

Colin makes the suggestion to Marina to visit Gretna Green, after all accidents on the road happened all the time. He can also say that the young lady ran away.

The morning of, just as Colin was bout to meet Marina to set his plan in motion, his mother stood at the bottom of the stairs with a copy of Lady Whistledown.

Colin was going to kill whatever informant gave that blasted woman this info.

The scandal hits the Featheringtons, and to make matters worse Lord Featherington had passed as well under mysterious circumstances. The women of the household have no husband or father to protect them. Colin doesn't notice the glances Portia passes to her daughters, or the knowing glint in Penelope's eyes.

Daphne presents Colin the opportunity to openly confront Marina, while she searches for a way to get rid of her without cause of suspicion.

Colin plays up the card of a jilted man, and hurt for his dear friend Penelope. While he does this distraction he makes sure one of the servants has placed the poison in Marina's bag just like he instructed.

By the rules of society the Featheringtons have to go into mourning now that their patriarch is dead. Colin hates it because now he'll be separated from his nymph for a whole year.

Anthony advises him to leave for a little while, just unit the Featheringtons are out of mourning.

"By that time news will be switched to someone else," Anthony had said. "We'll keep an eye on Penelope until you get back."

Colin had thought about Penelope talking about Greece, and decided that is where he shall go.

At Daphne's ball Colin scouted for his nymph. It would after all be his last chance to see her before he leaves, and she isolates with her family.

Colin apologized for his behavior and not listening to Penelope's warning. Though Colin really wished to apologize for any pain he may have caused while pretending to be interested in Marina.

"No, you only believed yourself in love," Penelope had replied. That was not really true, Colin knew he was in love with the nymph in front of him. "One should never hide how they are feeling. They should declare it," Penelope paused. "Colin I wish to tell you something."

"I have something to tell you as well," Colin said. The hope was back in his chest, could she really?

"You first," Penelope said.

Colin wanted to insist Penelope speak first, he had to know. Did she have feelings for him, did she possibly love him?

Not getting another word out of Penelope Colin took a deep breath. "I am leaving. I begin my tour in the Mediterranean tomorrow."

Penelope's smile fell, and Colin wanted to gather her up in his arms. Sadly there was too many people around.

"It was you who inspired me," Colin continued, praying that this brought some comfort to her. That her words mean so much to him that they hold some power over him.

Penelope's eyes began to take on a shine.

"What were you going to say?" Colin asked. He needed to hear what she was going to say.

"I seem to have forgotten," Penelope barley breathed out.

"Should we dance?" Please say yes, let him feel you in him arms one last time before you two are forced to separate.

"I'm all danced out for the evening," Penelope said before darting off. "Good luck on your tour!"

Colin could only watch, despite the fact that he wanted nothing more than to chase after her.

Colin supposed no one could blame him when he picked up his quill and penned his first letter to his nymph. He prayed it would be one of many.

I'm having yandere polleen thoughts. I'm just thinking there is so much more shit Colleen would be able to get away with than Colin mainly because society rules would allow Colleen easier access to Penelope than it would Colin.

Not to mention, Colleen would be more free to touch Penelope whenever she wanted. No one would question it besides it being two loving friends. If anyone did, Colleen would just charm (or gaslight) the other person that her touching Penelope is completely platonic.

Colleen takes full advantage of her gender to sneak into Penelope's room when she's spending the night at the Bridgerton House or at Aubrey Hall. She was just so lonely and wanted to cuddle her friend. This has nothing to do that some unworthy man had dared to ask Penelope to dance with him the other night. Nope seeing that ugly did not send Colleen into a jealous rage and the only thing that would calm her down was holding Penelope as she slept.

That ugly man didn't get to see Colleen's Pen like this. Nor did he have the privilege to hear all the delicious sounds Penelope makes in her sleep. That was for Colleen only.

See the Bridgertons did try to keep their promise that if the Jedi Spouses fucked them, they'd behave BUT then they heard the spouses say the words "when they return home" and all bets were off because what do they mean go home??? Like go away?? No more sexy fun times?? THEY'RE DOOMED. THEY WON'T BE ABLE TO SURVIVE THAT

And after the threats are dealt with, the Bridgerton goes to extreme hilarious dumbass shenanigans because the second the spouses were preparing to leave the shared Bridgerton Braincell just shut off and they're all over the place trying to seduce (and probably failing) their husband/wife to stay.

I can totally see this being the first knee jerk reaction. The Bridgertons are like you can't get married, that's fine, you're still here. But go away???? You must stay!

I think though that it wouldn't take long for one of siblings to see their Jedi lovers get confused and possibly uncomfortable. Then they come to the realisation what they are doing is something their jedi lovers would not be okay with due to their no attachment. Just as their jedi have learned about their culture they have also learned about the jedi's culture. So they decide to practice the love their Jedi practice. They love them and let them go. Hurts like a bitch but it's for the best. The Jedi return to Coruscant. The Bridgertons get a warm feeling whenever they think about them, and it helps when they move forward.

Eventually Colin returns to the Galactic Senate, his duties as a senator could no longer be ignored. He's there for about a week when he gets a visitor.

"Senator a Jedi is here to see you," his protocol droid announces.

A certian red head flashes through Colin's mind, but he quickly squashes that hope. "Send them in," Colin tells his droid.

The red headed Jedi that Colin was hoping for actually walked in through his door. Colin will admit he does miss some of the advantages Mayton clothing had on Penelope's figure, but he does admit she looks far more natural in her robes.

She smiled at him and Colin gets that warm feeling again. "Senator Bridgerton."

"Knight Featherington." Colin waved out the droid.

The door closes behind the droid and Colin finds himself in the arms of his former lover. He can't help himself and technically she started it, it's only natural he kisses back.

"I missed you," Penelope said as they parted. "It took forever for us to have time for leave, but I suppose I'm the lucky one. You're here and the others have to go back to Mayton and back into those Force awful clothes while I get to be cozy here and-" Penelope paused. "You're confused."

"You're back," Colin said. "But you left?"

"Well yes," Penelope said. "There was obviously the mission report to do and other duties I had. Just as you have your duties to do in the senate. It's not like I didn't send my love for you through the Force. I know you probably won't feel it as clearly as say one of my fellow Jedi but-"

Colin's mind blanked. Sending her love? Was that the warm feeling he would get? Was that her? "Wait, wait, wait. You love me?"

"Of course," Penelope said like it was obvious. "Just as you love me."

Colin smiled and kissed Penelope again. When he pulled away he smirked down at her robes. Something about them was enticing.

Colin scooped Penelope up and started making his way to his bedroom. "Come on we have lost time to make up for."

Following that headcanon about Simon and Kate fake courting to keep up appearances and for their convenience, what if Phillip and Penelope start doing the same? Since they already plan to get married just in case, and neither of them are interested in their suitors.

I just love the idea that the Bridgerton spouses are all so protective for each other, especially in the Isekai AU. Or even when the Bridgertons are slowly showing their interests. Like Ben leans to close to Sophie? Kate pops up to take her away (glaring at Ben/. Anthony sniffing Kate? A second later Simon is there distracting Anthony while Kate flees. Colin stares at Pen's boobs a second too long? Look at that, Philip suddenl whisks Oen away to her mother for a nonexistent talk. And if anyone theres to try and mess them up, the entire spouse group is there wrecking misery and havoc to the poor bastard. Like yaasss give me protective spouses who will go out of their way to make sure they never get the bad ending they had in their previous life.

Yes, protective spouses over one another for the win! They're all like we all have issues, whether from family or society. Oh, hey, someone similar! Wait, what do you mean they been messing with you? Not on my fucking watch.

In the iskeai au, they obviously have Portia and Mary as well, and they'll fold in the family members they like, too, like Felicity, Edwina, and Posy. John and Richard are friends of a friend type of situation. But this group they formed is the first that let them be vulnerable and let down their walls.

Or have situations like wait, what's that weirdo Bridgerton doing? Oh no, not my siblings. Hold on, I'm coming to the rescue!

I know I just know the spouses have made many cry (or worse) for disrespecting one of the others. And God help you if you made one of them cry. Then they might get stabby or shooty.

This is their second chance and they all want to make sure the others and themselves are happy and loved.

None of them realize how tied together they are with their Bridgertons. Or the happy ending they are looking for does include them.
