Not necessarily because he feels insecure about the fact that his right arm is made of metal but more so because he wishes to feel you when he touches you with his hand, a sensation that he will not experience if he were to use his right hand. Whenever he holds your hand, touches your face or pulls you closer to him it is in most cases with his left hand, warm with the blood flowing beneath the skin. It's very likely that his right arm possesses more strength due to being made out of steel, a strength he might not even be aware of until you notify him of it. He has a very short temper, his emotions easily flaring up and none of that is made better when his obsession is thrown into that mix. Whenever he feels jealous, angry, possessive or protective his steel arm tightens its hold. He has hurt you a few times as a result of this strength he has and it has made him only more aware and cautious to not use his right arm to touch you as he realises that he might hurt you. His left arm is for showing you affection, his touch gentle and loving. His right arm is used to defend you against bad people, his grip cold and harsh.

For a Chimera! [Reader], they would have to be something like a failed experiment of Father, or perhaps after he made the seven sins, he tried to make more, but could not.

Either way, you would have to know him.

To him, you're just a little baby! Just a lil' guy. They just love how small you are compared to him, [He made himself taller to be bigger than you], how you only spend time with him, [They makes everyone he can avoid you], but somehow you want to spend time with someone else? How could this be?

He would hate that you aren't attached to him like he's attached to you. To you, this is a brother who can transform into animals [typically foxes for you], and you like to play with him but want your own space. But to them? This is a crime, a travesty of the highest regard. So he would obviously fake something so that you would get into trouble by Father, who can catch on, but Father doesn't mind if it means Envy is a little more obedient. So they would make a deal with Father to be more obedient, putting all of his effort into whatever he [Father] wants, so that you suddenly get avoided by everyone who you love, except for him. <3 How could they all betray you? Well don't worry! Big Brother's here to help you feel better!

Envy would likely either make a deal with Father, or take matters into his own hands, although Lust or Wrath, maybe even Pride might find out about that and put an end to it, they like you too after all!

Pride would be Envy's biggest obstacle, since he has to act like a child all the time, he wouldn't mind putting on that persona near [you], which then you need to spend time with Pride, not Envy. It causes a rift between the two, furthering their dislike for the other.

Anyway. His overall feel for a chimera! Reader would be that he wants to be the only other sibling that you depend on, going as far as making a deal with the other sins and perhaps even Father.

Once they have the place to take you home, he's ushering you around, claiming you can't make it without him, embarrassing you to the point where you no longer want to try and go out to see the humans.

They treat you like a baby since you're not one of the main sins, and uses his infantilization of you to make it so you never want to leave Big Brother!

I have thoughts about Leander and need to share them.

First of all I think it's hilarious that we are all speculating about him. The devs knew what they were doing making his intro so cryptic, and I fell for it too so get ready.

We got that sweet combo of light eyes, dark circles and massive tit- a kind disposition with some twisted secret that lead us all down the possible yandere route. And while we see some suspiciously controlling/jealous/possessive streaks with him not letting anybody else treat the mc to drinks, forcing the mc to touch him when they hold back and saying negative things of the other LIs in his alone time, there is a post here already analysing how this might not be the case. I agree with them on the whole, he values freedom too much to go too far on that front.

So I'm going to include my humble theory to the mix. I think with Leander they can go for a really tragic story of a boy who grew up in the Lowtown, who saw all the horrors that lurk in the dark. He founded the Bloodhounds to help the people since the Senobium do nothing for those less fortunate. He wants to save everybody, but (according to Ais) he is only human after all. He is the only LI that does not have a monster background in his intro, it's just his shadow. However, we know that he is very powerful and has incredible abilities to yield magic without any incantation (this is giving strong FMA vibes). So, how does he do it? How could a regular mage encounter such power and why is he not with the erudite in the Senobium? I think, that he has to have made a pact or some sort of deal to achieve all this power at an incredibly high cost. If something feels too good to be true, it probably is... He is kind, he wants to help his people, and he has the power to do so. All free of charge, of course. There is no way he could have gotten all that power without giving something vital of himself away (again in true FMA fashion). We will have to find out what that is. We already know about his massive scar, how he likes to work hard, play harder and does not like to sleep. He is always drinking in his free time and having plenty of "escapades". It feels like he is trying to distract himself or forget about something that he cannot change and is inevitable. Ais says that Leander's resolve will be tested in this plane and the next, and I wonder if that could mean that he is reaching a turning point in which he has to decide between himself or the people. Or if he is too far gone and could forget his initial intentions.

Then again this could all be wrong :). I have only played with the Unnamed Origin, and as an oracle, the mc does not feel anything amiss when meeting Leander, while the oracle can feel a lot of stuff when meeting Vere, Ais or even Kuras (and don't get me started on that "nagging feeling" and "sense of familiarity" with kuras omg what if him or his power have something to do with the curse and that is why he is so guilty bdjnfioefjn). So he could simply be a Guy ™ that happens to be very powerful.

Then there is also how Vere talks about him. Vere straight up insults him and calls him slimy. I feel like we can trust Vere's sense of smell and he can really see through others’ intentions so I wonder if that is really how Leander truly is, although Vere doesn't really have anything nice to say about anybody (other that how big Ais is snfinrf). Could I just be another victim of Leander's charm and fail to see that he is a little evil gremlin ready to show how you don't need to be born a monster to be truly villainous? Possibly, but I don't mind I would just like to hold them him.

I feel like all the LIs do have a good heart or at least no real ill intent against the mc (looking at you Vere), but Leander is the only one that seems to openly claim that he is doing this out of the goodness of his heart. And that is terribly suspicious. Anyway, I still need to play with the other origins and see what else I can find. I would love to hear your opinions on this!!!

i've been doing well this week, thank you for asking! i'm working on job applications which makes me lose my mind but at least i have my silly little stories to help stay sane. whew. and it's nice to see how passionate people are about FMA, i can see how its continued to resonate with people years after they've watched/read it. that's how you know it's something special.

the 'you'll defile me and insist it's worship' is actually my favorite line from the story, so i'm glad you like it too AAA 💖💖 because of scaramouche's obsession with the divine, i like to have him elevate his darling to that status. all the prose that can come about from that is an added bonus. it's a fun theme to work with.

i've vacillated over just how delusional yan scara would/wouldn't be... i think he might justify some of his actions at first, but would eventually acknowledge that his motivations are purely selfish in nature and kinda be at peace with it. since he's having a conversation with his subconscious here, this is the instant where that's happening. i can never decide if it's worse when the yandere deludes themselves into thinking what they're doing is for their darling's own good, or if they know it's detrimental for their darling and go ahead with their plans anyway hjrktm both are awful in their own unique ways...

He likes to splash out quite a bit of money on Christmas as it is one of the few times of the year where you aren't able to protest too much against him gifting you something that is pricier. The first thing that you receive is a fancy piece of clothing that he has been eying for a longer while now, unable to stop thinking how good it would look on you. Accompanying his first present are a few pieces of jewelry to wear alongside with that outfit. He is almost tempted to ask you if you could put it on for him.

brother crab’s 2023 seasonals in review: summer

surprisingly easy to rank season for me, so i'll get right to it

anime of the season + runner-up for summer goes to...

undead girl murder farce and zom 100: zombie ni naru made ni shitai 100 no koto! nothing else even came close

i'm giving ugmf anime of the season because i personally vibed with it a lot (murder mysteries with a rakugo flair + arsene lupin trying to fuck the phantom of the opera in the background you really cannot go wrong) and also because zom100 has yet to release its last few episodes

zom100 is such a consistently solid show, though, that even without seeing the full cour i'm prepared to give it runner-up of the season. and it's honestly a strong contender for anime of the year. the first episode especially... i would rank it even higher than the first ep of oshi no ko tbh

lots of sequels this season as well!

horimiya, bleach, jjk, and bsd. some new snv came out this season as well but since i binged all that at once it doesn't really feel like a sequel to me

anyway easily sequel of the season goes to bleach, largely because of nostalgia won't deny that but also because it's just that fucking good

horimiya however was also an immense delight! gonna miss these wacky kids :')

quickfire thoughts on everything else:

watashi no shiawase na kekkon is the shoujo of the year, there's been a lot of cute stuff lately but nothing comes close to watakon

vending machine isekai was fine and occasionally funny, but kinda shocked it got a sequel announced already. worldbuilding was definitely the most interesting part and i hope we see more of it in s2

dekiru n eko way kyou mo yuuutsu was absolutely perfect, very fun and cute and soothing

okashi na tensei had a promising premise which it failed to lean into, there was little to no BAKING in this BAKING anime jfc

lv1 maou to one room yuusha seemed like your run of the mill shitty ecchi but actually it's NONBINARY OLD MAN YAOI?! and was kinda good. dumb, but fun

ai no idenshi was... well it was episodic which i like, generally, but it really. was not consistent. some good pieces, some not so good. some interesting, some not so interesting. main failing is it really did not imo balance its 'main' plot with its mini-stories well at all

ayaka was fun! it doesn't really hold a candle to k project like at all but at least it was not as bad as praeter lmao

synduality noir (first cour) was alright. nothing to write home about but a decent enough mecha. as far as anime that are game ads go... i'd say it's okay. a little more interesting than takt op to me, though not as visually stunning. and not as compelling as god eater

hyakushou kizoku was a tv short adapting arakawa hiromu's autobiographical farming manga and it was such a delight lol, especially fun if you're a fan of fma or silver spoon. explains so much about ed tbh

hi no tori: eden no sora was a 4-ep ona that i quite liked overall... ending was just so-so to me i guess

dark gathering isn't quite over still but it's fine as a horror that's heavy on the gore (gorror? is that a thing) actually. probably better than fine, it's just not my genre. some of the stories are definitely more gripping than others, but yeah solid horror overall and really good cast (yandere hanakana what could be better)

helck is also still going but has been really solid, way more enjoyable than i'd imagined. it has an 80s feel to it that i love

and last but certainly not least shuumatsu no valkyrie ii part 2 gives us GYARU FUCKBOI BUDDHA once again. what could be better lmao

How would either Yandere Edward Elric or Yandere Alphonse Elric deal with their darling getting pregnant? Would they become worse once they find out they have a child on the way or would they be more lenient because of pregnancy hormones?

I think this depends on if they're separate yanderes or share the darling, so I'll write my thoughts on those situations. Content Warnings: Contains mentions of kidnapping, referenced past non-con, discusses darling not wanting a child, general yandere mindset, isolation, slight mind break, mention of attempted suicide, mentions of mother/child death in labor, mentions of a dead child, mentions of non-con, and mentions of amputation (transmutation). Al is generally a very sweet person and doesn’t like to hurt anyone.

Especially not someone he cares about as much as he cares about you!

When he finds out that you’re pregnant he is over the MOON!

You’re gonna be an absolutely amazing mother -- just like his was!

If you thought Al was possessive, overprotective, and smothering before -- you’ve seen nothing yet.

You’re lucky if you even get to go to the bathroom alone.

Al will spend every second of every minute of every hour of every day next to you.

He can’t risk your child getting hurt, after all.

And despite his loving and caring, if you do anything at all that could put your child at risk, he would have zero tolerance for that.

His punishments would obviously not be anything that could hurt the child, such as not giving you any food.

But if you had even the slightest freedom before, that will be stripped from you in just a second.

You’ll be chained to the bed for weeks at a time unable to stand up or do anything, just resting on your back with a constant stream of pleas and apologies spilling from your lips.

You won’t ever do anything like that again, just please please please don’t let him keep you here anymore!

You’ll be good! You won’t complain about his doting or anything!

Just please let him take you on a walk again like he used to!

Or let you sit in the armchair and read!

Ed is kind of a wild card. Depending on the situation, he’s either kind or shows no mercy.

When he realizes that he’s finally gotten you pregnant, he will be insufferable, but in a different way from Al.

Instead of taking you away from the world, and spending every second with you, he will be controlling.

He will take you on walks to show you off to others when your belly starts to show because he loves to remind people that you’re undeniably his.

You will also not be allowed to do anything that could hurt you or your child.

Some things are understandable, like forbidding you from lifting heavy things, but the further along your pregnancy goes, the more ridiculous his demands will be.

In the end, you won’t be able to even hold a book and read it by yourself, because what if you dropped it on your belly and either you or the baby got hurt? Let Ed read it for you instead!

And if you try to escape or do something to hurt yourself or the baby because you don’t want his child any trace of the kindness Edward has generally shown during your pregnancy will be gone.

If you try to get rid of the child, he will treat you like a human incubator until he deems you apologetic enough. You’ll be isolated except for when he walks in to check on your bindings or force-feed you to keep the baby healthy, your pleas for him to let you go or even look at or please talk to you again falling on deaf ears.

Not until you’ve spent weeks virtually alone, pleading and begging and throwing promise after promise at Ed will he finally relent, asking if you’re gonna try anything like that again?

With tears of relief at finally being talked to again, you’ll vigorously shake your head doing your best not to throw yourself into his arms the very second you’re untied.

You can’t risk hurting your child, after all.

Now both brothers in combination would be interesting, to say the least.

In some situations, Ed, being the eldest, would have Al tag along, even though it wouldn’t be something Al would have originally chosen to do.

That’s how it’s been their whole “relationship” with you -- Ed being more active and Al more passive, usually tagging along because he’s just happy to have you.

When they realize you’re pregnant, there’s an unspoken agreement between them.

They’re both the fathers and that’s that.

They won’t leave any room for potential dispute or discourse between them now that their family will grow.

Ed and Al want to be the best fathers to their child -- far better than their own, and they just know you’ll be the perfect mother!

When both of them are yandere at the same time, I see Ed as the overly possessive one.

Just as in his own headcanons, he’d make sure nothing could hurt you and your baby and Al’s caring, overbearing demeanor would be infectious.

So you’d have both of them and their tendencies rubbing off on each other and having two overbearing, overprotective brothers to deal with.

Al would be the more relaxed one of the two and a little more lenient, sometimes letting you make the bed when Ed was out on a mission, giving you small things to do.

And when Al was gone, Ed would not let you out of his sight, but take you outside on short walks, something Al would never do.

So in a way, you supposed you were a bit grateful that the two of them weren’t there all of the time. Both had annoying qualities that got on your nerves more than ever while being pregnant, but at least the respective brother had something they allowed you to do when you were with just them.

They’ll be the worst at the start of and towards the end of the pregnancy when everything is new, and then when it’s almost time for them to become fathers.

Any attempts from you at a makeshift abortion early on will be stopped immediately, and if you try to hurt the child, they will be extra cruel and overbearing until you’re too pregnant for a “normal” abortion to work -- keeping you chained up.

But they will be weirdly lenient when you’re in the last month, even if you’d try to hurt your stomach somehow. Of course you’re scared now that it’s so close, but don’t worry you’ll be a wonderful mother, and the two of them will be there to help and support you, always!

If you try something drastic the last few weeks like jumping out of a window because you don’t want this. You’ve never wanted this! They will still be more lenient, but keep you chained to the bed for your safety. This close to giving birth the hormones would definitely be messing with your head.

They’ll keep you here until you give birth and those thoughts will vanish soon for sure.

Edward and Alphonse love you so much and love the addition to your family and will do anything in their power to make sure you carry to term.

And if such a tragedy would happen that either you or the child don’t survive the birth, they will be devastated.

If you’re the one who dies, finally escaping them through death with a weak smile on your lips, they will dedicate their everything to the child. The grief of losing you will never go away, but at least they have part of you left in their child, and they will make sure the child never leaves this world too early.

If, however, the child dies or is stillborn, the brothers will be devastated and try to do the ritual to bring the child back. They’ve lost limbs and their body once before and if that’s what it takes to get your child back alive, they will give that up again.

But of course, it doesn’t work as the link with the God and the forbidden alchemy have been severed.

Instead, they will mourn their child desperately, and bury it.

Then, they will try their very best to impregnate you again. As many times as it takes for them to finally get a child.

And during your next pregnancy, absolutely nothing will be left up to chance.
