"Cuphead: The Delicious Last Course (SugarBowl Edition)"

word count 2k | oc&canon/food/dark themes | ao3 | wattpad
The match in the bootlegger's cave got red-hot for Mugman and Miss Chalice, with Cuphead to the side as their spirited cheerleader. It took longer than expected to take them down; by the time they were rolling that barrel of Distillery Dough out of the lair of the Moonshine Mob, the afternoon sun was smiling high in the sky.
Nevertheless, the dough was theirs, and the two cups carefully rolled it all the way back to the bakery. There wasn't any issue on the path there, though they could feel the whole way just how lucky they were that the heavy ingredient was in such a portable container.
Cuphead smugly held open the bakery door for Mugman and Chalice, and the both of them rolled the barrel through him with a woosh. After the initial chill of his own soul, which even the little ghost could feel as they passed through him, all three cups were quickly met with the stoutly warm smell of baking pastries and bread.
Chef Saltbaker waited for them behind the display case, his arms folded over his chest and his smile steadfast and kind. He leaned over the counter with his cheek in his palm once they were close enough to the counter.
"Ah, there you are my friends!" he bubbled cheerfully as he bounced on his knees, his body still somewhat in rhythm to music. "Is that the dough I see there?"
"It sure is, chef!" Miss Chalice sang and she put a hand on the barrel. "We got enough dough to make loads of Wondertarts!"
"That's wonderful, Miss Chalice! Now that makes it two ingredients down and three more to go. Oh goodness, I can just see the tart now in all its legendary sweetness. We need to store the dough right away! Bowlcut hone-!" Saltbaker called out excitedly before he stopped himself, his eyes a bit nervous glancing down at the cups. He coughed loudly, excusing himself under his breath before continuing with a faint blush on his face, "H-Hurry! Yes, I mean hurry and bring out those bagels and puffs; the cups have arrived with the dough!"
The unsuspecting cups exchanged glances amongst each other; mostly out of dread that they were going to see the bowl again, but partially out of concern as well.
Was the chef alright?
Meanwhile, it took the apprentice a second to better compose himself in the kitchen before he trotted out from the doorway to the display cases, with a tray of five freshly made poppy seed bagels. He moved past Saltbaker to set the tray on one of the top shelves, letting the steam drift and lull through the air. Everybody watched him intently but with different emotions in their faces as he did so.
For the cups, it was curiosity and fear, but for the salt shaker, it was love.
"Simply delectable, aren't they?" Chef Saltbaker hummed, and he discreetly patted one of his partner's hips from above. "I know someone who's going to love these once they're cool."
Bowlcut's eyes widened a little with a flustered blush. He nudged his hip against Saltbaker's hand, who pulled it back with an embarrassed smile as his partner sat up with a look that said "Bold, my dear baker. Bold."
The cups once again exchanged looks, but they could admit this time it was out of pure confusion. To them, it looked like the moody bowl was just staring down the shaker for an... oddly weird comment, and nothing more. Nothing more, sure, but even still the context was lost on them. Maybe the chef had referred to a customer his business partner didn't like?
Or... just what exactly was going on between them? Were they-?
"Do what you need to," he spoke as he patted Bowlcut's arm on that fine spot between partner and partner, muddying the water even further for the cups. Then his gaze shifted back to the barrel of Distillery Dough the cups had rolled in, and all of a sudden, his grip on that arm grew a little tighter. "Just do be careful with the dough; it seems to be in a five gallon barrel."
"So uh... does that mean he's not a ten-gallon head?" Cuphead joked, which was only met with exaggerated sighs from the other two and a soft... slightly nervous chuckle from the shaker.
The bowl, meanwhile, just shook his head and rolled his violet eyes.
Oh brother, he thought to himself.
Bowlcut regarded the cups with a glance. This one was a little softer than what he had been giving before, but it was still a cutting glance at them regardless, and they acknowledged his expression by steadying themselves around the barrel. He marched around and dropped to one knee like he had before, only with one hand on his knee this time.
The other one clicked his fingers against his porcelain head, which Mugman and Chalice took to mean "put the dough in my head", so that's what they tried to do.
They started to hoist the barrel of dough, but they stopped when Bowlcut suddenly held up a finger to them, and with it they steadily sat it back down onto the floor. Albeit this happened with confused and annoyed grunts, they still didn't want to disrespect Mr. Bowlcut's wishes.
Their efforts did make him chuckle to himself; these cups really were giving it their all, weren't they? Maybe he ought to help them this time.
"Oh yes," Saltbaker piped up. "Forgive me, I was just about to tell you chaps; while you were away, we prepared up a little surprise for you! This is a simple way of congratulating you for your dedication so far. As well as for bringing the ingredients here to me like this, of course; I'm for one certain it hasn't been easy, this was the least we could do for now. Bowlcut?"
The bowl nodded, then with that same hand he was pointing to the ceiling with, he reached deep into his head and took hold of something. He lowered his hand and held it out to them.
There, in the center of his palm, were three little cream puffs baked perfectly and powdered with sugar. A pearly aura shimmered around the puffs, indicating an enchantment of some kind on them.
All three of the cups curiously studied the little treats, amazed at the way they glittered and made their mouths water, and all the while Saltbaker chuckled triumphantly.
"Bombo Puffs!" he grinned. "Think of these as an upgrade to your moveset. You just need one, and it should make the total range of your special moves all the bigger... and all the more bombastic!"
The little cups exchanged excited glances with each other before they all took one Bomb Puff each, with Mugman and Miss Chalice stuffing theirs into their pockets.
"Amazing!" Mugman smiled, and the chef warmly returned it. "Thank you so much; this'll come in handy!"
"Yes, thank you! You're the best." Miss Chalice squeaked, then she turned excitedly back to the barrel of Distillery Dough. "Come on, Mugman, let's get this done really fast."
"So this is like adding cannon powder to our peashooters?" Cuphead commented, barely able to hold back his excitement. "Golly chef, these are gonna pack a punch!"
"They sure are," Saltbaker nodded as he intently watched them go back to hoisting up the five gallon barrel into Bowlcut's head again, with the apprentice even helping the two of them lift the ingredient from underneath into his head. The chef's eyes were maybe fixed a little too firmly on that chip in his partner's head. "And the best part is, you're nearly half-way there! So these little creme puffs should make getting the rest of the ingredients a breeze."
"Wait, but chef," Miss Chalice piped up, noticing something interesting. "We only have two of the five ingredients! How are we already half-way there?"
"Ah-" Without missing a beat, the chef touched a finger to the side of his nose with a wink. "All good recipes have a special ingredient, my dear. Luckily, it's nothing for you cups to worry about! We'll have everything we need right here. Won't we Bowlcut?"
The apprentice looked over his shoulder and gave him a wobbly little nod, his eyes tired but confident in his words. Confident in how truthful they must've sounded to the cups, anyway. In fairness, though, the things he was saying to them were truthful.
They just simply weren't the whole truth.
"Well we'd better hurry," Mugman commented. "If we want to make that Wondertart! We just have to make it!"
The eagerness in Mugman's voice had Bowlcut slightly nervous all of a sudden. Not for them and the inevitable fate that would occur, but for the chef and his own mounting boldness. He thought about the way Saltbaker's eyes looked before Cuphead and the others arrived. Even now, he was getting a bit ahead of himself, he could hear it clearly.
If he wasn't careful, he was going to blow their whole cover.
Fortunately, Chef Saltbaker was the greatest baker in all the lands, and the jolliest as well. If he could patch up a cake with some fondant, he could mask a curse with some cheer.
"Yes, yes we do!" he beamed, closing his eyes and clasping his hands together. "Just keep working hard, and we should have it all ready by evening!"
Bowlcut grabbed his gaze with a little clink of his porcelain, then making a little circle motion with his finger. Saltbaker regarded his partner's gesture with a sheepish grin.
"Oh yes, you're right; it could always be tomorrow too."
"We'll have it even sooner than that, chef!" Miss Chalice said proudly as she turned to the doorway, marching forward like a soldier. "Come on boys, we got work to do! Golly, I can't wait for this body to be mine for keeps!"
"W-Wait a second, Miss Chalice!" Mugman piped up, chasing after her. "Where're you goin'? Don't you wanna decide what's next to get?!"
"Why don't we just grab two things at once?" Cuphead asked, floating quickly behind his brother. "The arena's right there, and then the mountains..."
His and the voices of the other two cups trailed off as the door shut behind them with a ring of the bell.
Once he was sure they were gone, Bowlcut finally got up with a bit of a struggle to his stance. As he stood upright, he could feel and hear his knees starting to knock together.
The sight of this had the chef practically running for him, with every fiber of his body and soul straining as tensely as it possibly could.
If this cracked his head open, Inkwell Isle would finally see a real demon.
"Ah- Ah- My love-!" he blurted out as he approached. "You really shouldn't be holding that up there, it's- I- I-!"
Bowlcut held his his hands to Saltbaker's chest, intending to calm him down. Instead, the panicked salt shaker took a strong hold of his forearms.
"No," he grunted firmly taking hold of the barrel in both hands and putting it under one arm. He swooped up Bowlcut's lanky body into his other arm, making him struggle. Still, Saltbaker held him. "No, I won't let you do this to yourself. Not my darling."
Bowlcut looked up at him incredulously, his violet eyes taking on an angry expression to them.
Oh good lord, he protested vigorously in his mind as his hands gripped firmly at the chef's coat, What is coming over you?! I just figured out the body strength, it wasn't that bad! Salty!
With one sweep of the leg, Saltbaker shoved the display case out of the way and swung the trapdoor open with a loud bang. Steadily, the chef made his descent down the old stair-ladder and into the dimly-lit cellar, with both of what was his securely under his arms.

Cw: Slightly yandere and obsessive behavior
A oneshot I wrote a long time ago that got deleted when I deleted and remade my blog, so I rewrote it again :3
Tumblr media
This would've been one of his worst work days he's ever had. Keyword; would've. Most of the day was exhausting and stressful, yes, but there's one factor that makes this day memorable to him; his new obsession.
Saltbaker sighs heavily and closes the door to the kitchen, collapsing on a nearby chair and leaning his head back against the wall. The day is almost done and he hopes no one else will walk in and order something. He's had enough for today; he can't deal with another impatient customer.
He perks up when he hears the chime of the front door bell ringing and he's about to sigh in exhaustion before he pauses when he hears their voice.
“...hello?” A soft, kind voice asks from the bakery. Their voice is feminine and quiet, almost like they're too shy to speak; he could barely hear them. Maybe dealing with this last customer won't be so bad…
Standing up, he steps out from the kitchen and closes the door behind him. “Welcome in! What can I get you?” He asks, putting his cheerful mask on once again and taking a look at the last customer for the day.
Dear lord, he was not prepared for how pretty they were going to be. Short, plump, and curvy, his exact type in a woman, with a black dress and a dark brown trench coat. They're a merfolk covered in monochromatic turquoise scales with golden glowing eyes he could stare into for hours.
“Oh, hello! For a moment I thought you were closed-” Amber beams at him.
“Ah-hah, not yet I'm afraid. I close up in an hour, but I was debating on closing a bit early today.” Saltbaker replies politely, although it's clear he's a bit tired.
“Oh, I'm sorry! I didn't mean to- don't let me stop you from closing up.” They say sheepishly. Is that…genuine remorse? Just for showing up an hour before closing? Maybe if they were someone else, he'd take them up on the offer, but part of him wants to keep them around for as long as he can.
“No, no! It's alright, don't worry about it!” Saltbaker reassures.
“Are you sure? I don't want to overwork you or anything…” Amber says, not sure if they should stay or go.
“I'm sure, I wouldn’t mind taking care of the order of such a pretty lady.”
Amber smiles at his flattering words and glances away. “I-If you're sure…”
“What can I get you this evening?” He asks in a softer, more gentle tone to persuade them to stay.
“Um…” Amber looks down at their options, biting their lip in contemplation. There's quite a few sweets left over from the busy day and they all look really good, however Amber has rather picky taste buds, so only one thing catches their eye. “Can I have the chocolate chip cookie, please?”
“Of course! That'll be $3, miss.” He gives them a small nod. Amber fishes out three $1 bills from their purse and hands it to him, which he takes before handing them the cookie.
“Thank you!” They beam at him and take a small bite out of the cookie. “Mmm, this is delicious! No wonder everyone always calls you the greatest chef in all the lands!”
For the first time in a long time, Saltbaker blushes; although it's barely noticeable. “Oh, thank you dear! You're too sweet…”
“I'm just being honest; this is the best cookie I've ever had!” They beam at him. They hesitate for a moment before adding; “Um…would you mind if I started coming in more often to write my book? O-Of course I'll still buy something every now and again so I'm not loitering or anything.”
They…want to come back? As a regular? They want to see him again? A bright smile grows on his lips. “Of course, it's no problem! As long as you don't mind if I chat with you occasionally when you're here!”
“Aw, of course I don't mind!” They beam back at him.
The hour passes fast, it almost feels like minutes. The whole hour is spent just the two of them chatting, occasionally snacking on some of the goods that didn’t get sold. The best part in Saltbaker's eyes? They helped him clean up the bakery before they left.
“Bye Saltbaker, I'll see you tomorrow!” Amber beams at him as they walk away towards their home, waving him goodbye.
“Goodbye, Amber!” Saltbaker waves at them before closing the door to the bakery. He leans his back against it with a dreamy sigh, looking up at the ceiling with a bright smile plastered on his lips.
↠❀↞
Months have passed since he met them and his love and obsession for them has only worsened. They visit quite often and when they do, his day is always instantly made. They even occasionally help out in the bakery when there's too many customers, which gives him an idea…
Once again, Amber’s sitting in his bakery writing in their book; a cup of ice cold tea and a plate of cookies on the table in front of them, which they've occasionally snacked on while they write.
Saltbaker hopes his staring isn't obvious, however the way he's leaning against the counter and watching them like a lovesick puppy gives it away. He can't help it, they're just so pretty. The way they're sitting there with their legs crossed, biting their lip as they think about what to write next.
A thought comes to mind and Saltbaker breaks the silence. “Amber?”
They perk up when he speaks and they turn to him with a hum of questioning. “Yeah?”
“Have you ever noticed you bite your lip when you think?”
A shy smile appears on their lips and they turn their body to face him better. “I do?”
“Yes, you do. You bite your lip quite often, I'd say. It's pretty cute.” He says.
“Aww, you noticed that?” They ask with a bright smile.
“Of course I did! How could I not?”
“Aww…!” Amber turns to hide how bright their smile is and the blush on their cheeks just from that one comment.
The two are interrupted when someone walks in; another customer he has to serve. Unfortunately, it's one that has a reputation for being unpleasant to serve.
“Hello ma'am, what can I get you today?” He asks the woman politely, dreading the inevitable.
“Do you have any pots and pans for sale?” The woman asks, already irritated with him. A simple question he wouldn't be annoyed by, however this woman has come in once every week for the past month asking the same god damn question only to yell at him when he gives his answer. Although, this is the first time Amber’s been in the same room as her.
“You already know the answer to that, ma'am. I don't.” Saltbaker says politely, hiding his irritation behind a forced smile, trying to not make it look like a grimace.
“I know, I’m waiting until you finally sell some. Why don't you?” She asks.
“I've told you; I focus on baked goods here, not kitchenware.” He says politely.
Amber turns and gives the two a confused look, baffled by the woman's demand. They stand up and approach the two as she belittles him for something so small and meaningless.
“Excuse me, what's going on?” Amber asks politely, stepping up to the woman.
The woman turns to Amber with a glare. “Did you seriously not hear me? Or are you that ignorant to the world around you?” She snaps.
Not only is Amber taken aback by the undeserved insult, but Saltbaker is too. He clenches his fists, not intervening yet. He knows he shouldn't do anything too rash, he has a reputation as a sweet baker to uphold.
“No, I heard you. I'm just…confused as to why you're yelling at him for something that isn't his fault.”
“It is his fault- he's the one who's choosing not to sell me anything!”
“What you're asking is something he isn't selling; there's literally a kitchenware shop a few blocks down you could be shopping in.”
“Well I want the same stuff he has so my cooking gets better.”
“That's…not how it works.”
“You just don't understand because nothing goes on in that pretty little head of yours.”
That does it. “You shouldn't talk to them like that.” Saltbaker snaps as politely as he can while showing his irritation.
The woman turns to him with a surprised look before glaring at him. “Why shouldn't I? She's the one who's being rude.”
“No they're not, they're being just as polite as I am. They're one of my closest friends and I can't let you insult them like that. If you're just going to insult us and not buy anything, I'll have no choice but to kick you out.”
“B-But-!”
“No buts. You've kept coming in once every week and you've never bought anything; do I need to ban you too?”
The woman huffs before storming out of the store, slamming the door shut. Amber turns to Saltbaker. “Damn, what's her problem?”
He chuckles softly, the tension in his body easing. “I have no idea, dear. She's been asking the same question for about a month now.” He replies, turning to them as his shoulders slump.
“Really?” They ask, even more baffled. “Hopefully she stops this time.”
“Agreed…” He nods. There's a pause before he speaks again. “Thank you…for helping me deal with her.”
“Of course! Thank you for standing up for me.”
“Aw, it was no problem honey.” They blush slightly at the pet name and beams at him. He admires their bright, adorable smile before he realizes now's a good time to ask them something. “My dear, may I ask you something?”
“Of course, what is it?” Amber asks, tilting their head to the side a bit in questioning.
“Well…would you ever consider working here with me? It gets stressful doing this all alone, and I love your company.” He asks.
“Really?” They perk up, their smile brightening. “I'd love to!!”
Perfect, they agreed! He didn't have to try to persuade them or anything; maybe they like him as much as he does? “Great! I'm looking forward to it!”

Kiss, Marry, Kill for my most hated bosses. I love the characters, despise fighting them.
Grim Matchstick, Chef Saltbaker, Hilda Berg.
I had a meltdown fighting Grim, took 3 days to beat Hilda, and Saltbaker took me so long to beat. Like 2 months. I'm not good at cuphead.
It's okay, Anon! It took me 2-3 months just to beat Dr. Kahl, so you're not alone. Cuphead is a really hard game, so don't beat yourself up over it. As for your ask-
If they're yanderes: Marry Hilda, kiss Grim, kill Saltbaker.
Probably the easiest KMK I've had to answer yet because honestly, I could completely change everyone's placement and still be fine with it.
Hilda and Grim, at least as yanderes, are fairly similar: possessive, needy, don't want their darling to go out, have varying degrees of abandonment issues and respond to it with anxiety, and are easily flustered. I actually swapped their places multiple times while writing out this answer because I'd be alright with marrying/kissing either.
Now, Saltbaker on the other hand... is tricky. I've talked about it on the blog before, but how he acts towards his darling (and as a partner in general) depends entirely on whether or not he's been redeemed.
Pre-redemption? Definitely kill. Post-redemption? I can swap him with either Hilda or Grim and still be satisfied with my answer. Again, easiest KMK for a reason.
If they're not yanderes: Marry Saltbaker, kiss Grim, kill Hilda.
Once again, we run into the 'Has he been redeemed?' dilemma with good ol' Saltbaker. If yes, marry. If not, kill.
Saltbaker (post-redemption) would make a lovely husband, and while I personally would not be interested in him prior to that... I know a lot of people love to see a silly, jovial man who can bake secretly be evil and wicked and give a lot of yandere energy, so that's why I always include both versions.
As for Hilda, I hate having to pick 'Kill' for her because she's so lovely, but Grim is so silly and playful that I can't not kiss him. He's literally a sentient puppy in a giant, green dragon's body.

A/n: I took this in a really twisted way but maybe if y’all want I’ll make a part 2? Idk I’m not really big on writing yandere type stuff.
(C/W): forces cannibalism, implied kidnapping, implied murder, yandere tendencies etc.

:Yandere?chef Saltbaker x reader:
Meat on a hook
(Y/n) had been working for Chef Saltbaker for a few months now, they had met the jolly baker at a job fair and they were quick to apply after being caught up in his charms and personality. (Y/n) had developed a little bit of a crush on their boss despite it being a bit of a taboo, and they hoped that their friend / business ship was growing into something more.
One evening while closing up Saltbaker called from the kitchen, “Oh (Y/n)! Would you mind coming back here for a minute before you leave?”, (Y/n) paused in the midst of hanging up their apron, finding that a lump had formed in their throat and that their heart had jumped up past their chest. “Coming!” they called back, trying to hide the growing excitement in their voice, was this happening?
As their feet landed onto the linoleum floor (y/n) was hit with a sucker punch of sweet scents and a heat wave from the oven, which was currently baking an array of breads at the moment. (Y/n)’s eyes wandered and soon landed on the jolly old chef, he was standing at a cutting board chopping some veggies and placing them into a dough filled pie tin as he went along. “What's up boss?” they said in a more hushed tone as to not startle Saltbaker while he worked.
He turned around, wiping flour and juice-covered hands clean with a kitchen towel before flashing a bright smile (y/n)’s way, “finally you’re here!” he cheered with much enthusiasm, “Come, come! Sit down, I have a new dish I'd like you to try before you leave.”. A blush formed on (y/n)’s face, ‘he baked me a treat?’ They felt so honored that the chef was willing to let them sample some of his new work. Chef saltbaker pulled a small puff pastry out of a toaster oven and it was filled with what seemed to be beef, it was like a mini chicken pot pie but without the top and poured into a cup shaped puff pastry.
The chef placed it in front of (y/n) with an elegance only a cook could have, it smelt delicious, “eat up!” he chimed before turning to continue his previous work on a meatless pot pie, (y/n) picked up a fork full and placed it in their mouth with haste. However something felt off, this beef didn't taste like beef at all. (y/n) continued to chew but their delighted face morphed into confusion as they tried to place their finger on what the meat could be, not pork, definitely not chicken, it tasted sort of like veal.
That's when the smell of rot that wafted from a partially open pantry door hit them, (y/n) was about to spit out the substance of meat but found themselves to have their mouth forced shut by the dear old chef who was now holding them from behind to prevent struggle. “Swallow it.” he commanded in a deep and menacing voice, (y/n) opened a teary eye to be met with crazed yellow ones, the meat in their mouth turning into a vomit inducing mush but they couldn't spit it out, they force themselves to swallow and were soon dropped to the floor, gasping for air as tears rolled down their face.
“See, was that so hard?” he asked, feigning innocence as he watched (y/n) shake on the cold linoleum. “What was that meat?” they asked softly, looking up at the larger man with their (e/c) eyes narrowing in fear and a bit of anger. “It’s a mystery!” chimed the chef with a smug smirk, “I made it just for you sugar plum, did you like it? It was made from yesterday’s.. Left overs.” he said picking up a knife for an implication.
“You’re a monster” choked (y/n) as they stumbled up to their feet, shaking with fear as the larger man approached them. Saltbaker did not like hearing that at all, With one swift movement (y/n) was pinned to the wall, their lower half being held up by his leg while his torso blocked them from making any ‘mistakes’. (Y/n) cried and screamed for help, trying to wiggle themselves free until the cool, serrated edge of a bread knife came up to their throat. “Oh honey, don't cry,” he cooed, he produced a rag from his free hand and placed it firmly over (y/n)’s mouth causing them to struggle once again, “This will all just be a bad dream.” (y/n)’s eyes began to droop and their struggling ceased as he room began to blacken and spin, “sweet dreams Cherry.” his voice echoed in their mind as they blacked out.

Yandere! Chef Saltbaker x reader
Tumblr media
A/N: This lil’ oneshot was requested by my good friend Sky, you can check them out over at our group blog! @soillky And one more quick thing, go check out @kirlias452 ! They’re really cool and allowed me to use one of their headcanons, so thank you! Edit: Part 2 is out! You can find it here!
~First, we’ll start with headcanons~
(Keep in mind that in this oneshot for my friend, he is yandere.)
- Very sweet for a salt shaker - Loves to cook with you, it makes his pastries taste better to him - He loves spending as much time with you as possible, even though he has a bakery to run - Loves to hold your hand, it makes him feel calmer and happier ever since he was driven mad - Since he was driven mad, he’s a bit possessive. If he can’t have that Wondertart, he can surely have you. Right...? - Gets jealous if any customer compliments you, no matter what the compliment is - Absolutely loves to hold you. Whether it’s holding your hand or cuddling, physical touch is his love language.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
~And now, the oneshot ❤ ~  Word count: 0.7k
     Another day of working at the bakery. But it doesn’t bother you, knowing that your best friend and owner of the bakery, Chef Saltbaker, is there with you. Today you’re stuck as the cashier. Not the most exciting to you, but at least you get to interact with people, and most of them are really nice to you.
     “...And there you go, sir! Have a nice day!” You say with a smile as the last customer walks out of the building. It’s now time to close up shop, and as you flip the sign on the front to “Sorry, We’re Closed!”, you feel a hard hand grip your shoulder.      “Y/N, we need to talk.” Chef Saltbaker says with a saddened face. “Follow me upstairs.”  “O-oh, um, alright. Am I in trouble?” You reply with a nervous tone. He’s never asked you for a “talk”, you’ve done so well at the bakery, and you don’t know if you’ve done anything wrong. “No, of course you aren’t in trouble. I just need a chat with you,” Chef Saltbaker replies, easing your worries.
     “Here, sit down.” Saltbaker says as he pats a cushion on the couch. You do, and he sits down next to you. “So, Chef, is anything bothering you?” You ask, still a little worried that you did something wrong. “To put it in simple words, yes. I don’t want you working as the cashier anymore. I don’t like how many people end up complimenting you. It’s... unnerving.”
     “But Chef, how is that unnerving? I like working as the cashier,” You say, a little sad that you wouldn’t interact with other people.
     Saltbaker wouldn’t answer your question. Instead, he grasped your hands with his and held them up to his chest. In an instant, his eyes flashed a yellow, and yours grew wide. Yellow eyes... the same ones you saw in his twisted face that one fateful day. Why, oh why?
     “Y/N, have I ever told you how pretty you are?” He said, his eyes now yellow and a large grin spreading across his face. You feel yourself slightly blush at the sudden change of mood. Saltbaker notices, and yanks your arms to him, making you slightly jump with a yelp, landing you right on his lap.
     He snakes his arms around your waist and pulls you in for a hug. You can hear him slightly smelling your neck, his nose pushed against it, and a blush spreads across your cheeks. What has gotten into him? He’s never done this before.
     “Y/N, you remember that day, the day I tried to take Cuphead’s soul for my greatest dish yet?  He whispers as he squeezes you tighter. Your blush fades and you quietly reply, “I do... why do you ask?” “I couldn’t have that Wondertart. They wouldn’t let me. I could’ve had so much power, and control,” His voice starts to slowly grow louder. “I could’ve had everything- and now it’s gone.” He squeezes you tighter, making it hard for you to breathe, so you lightly tap his back and he loosens- just a little.
     “Chef, you’re scaring me,” You worriedly say. “What’s gotten into you?” “I can’t have that Wondertart. But there is one thing that I want. And it will be mine, no matter what.” Saltbaker whispers in your ear.
“And what would that be, Chef?” “Do you want the name of it?” “Of course I do.” “The name of it...  Y/N.“
     This surely took you by surprise. Your cheeks heated up again with a deeper blush, and Saltbaker pushed you slightly away from him, just so he could meet your face with a smile.      “I do love you, Y/N. For a long while now.” Saltbaker cooed. He pulled you back, but sat you on his lap, his arm under your arm. You were in a position where you were almost sitting next to him, just on his lap, and slightly turned. He nuzzled his head against your cheek, and gave you a quick kiss on it. You were blushing really hard, but didn’t know how to feel.
     “You’re all I want. You’re the sweetest sugar, the ripest strawberry, the perfect pepper-to-salt ratio,” He complimented. “If I couldn’t have that Wondertart, I’ll surely have you.”
“No matter the cost.”
     ~Writing this was super fun! Maybe a part 2? Who knows! Shoot me an ask and I’ll surely do it! Love you guys <3~
If you don't feel comfortable with this type of theme you don't have to do it but, could I request for a Yandere Chef Saltbaker x Female reader?
Actually, I'm totally okay with yandere prompts! I've read a few Yandere!Saltbaker fanfics on here and I was thinking about writing one myself.
Speaking of which...
Astral Queen
Content Includes: Reader Death, Canon Death, Implied Murder, Implied Graphic Violence, and Major DLC Spoilers
You woke up from a strange dream.
Your eyes strained from the light surrounding you until you gave yourself time to adjust.
Weren't you with Saltbaker just a moment ago? Or were you with Cuphead, Mugman, and Chalice?
You couldn't remember at the moment.
You stood up onto your feet, only to bump your head against something hard, making a loud ting! upon impact.
Is that... glass?
Sure enough, it was. You began to realize that you're inside some sort of glass dome and outside of the dome was Saltbaker's kitchen.
Everything around you had become much bigger than you remembered, including Chef Saltbaker himself.
Peering into the glass dome, Saltbaker gave you a sweet yet apologetic little smile.
The sight of his yellow eyes sent shivers down your spine.
"Oh, my dear Honeybun... I am truly sorry about this. I didn't know any other way to make this happen." Chef Saltbaker sighed, looking down in a moment of shame, "I could have just told you, but I was afraid you would object."
Object? Object to what? What on earth is going on?
"You see, those ingredients I needed for the Wondertart... While I do need them, it was merely a distraction. Something you for all to do while I prepare my greatest recipe yet." Chef Saltbaker continued, "And you, my sweet darling, are the main ingredient!"
What?!
This can't be happening! This isn't real - it must be all just a nightmare!
You looked down...
No... Oh my Stars, no!
"At first, I could not bear the idea of harming you. I love you too much to do so! But after some consideration, I came to a... reasonable conclusion: I love you for your heart and soul, not just your physical body. You are beautiful, of course, but what you truly are is breathtaking. I tried to make it quick, you know. I didn't want you to suffer too much, nor did I want to completely mutilate your body. In fact... It's in one of my storage rooms right now! I figured I'd keep your corpse for a while until I have to give it a proper burial."
You were left speechless. The man you loved... How could he do this to you? You looked around for Cuphead, Mugman, and Chalice.
Then, your heart froze, your blood running cold.
There, on the wooden chopping block, laid the broken shards of porcelain and all the ingredients massacred into chunks, bits, and slices. The remains were put on display - three broken cup heads, all in a row, with each one filled with the chopped up ingredients.
"They were good kids... And even better fighters. But, most of all, they're excellent dishes! Heh, they almost had me, but no cigar." Chef Saltbaker chuckled, "Now that that's out of the way... We can finally finish that Wondertart and I shall possess the powers of the astral plane!"
With a devious grin, Chef Saltbaker lifted the glass dome and gently took ahold of you. You were so tiny compared to his massive stature, you easily fit into his hand.
From an outside perspective, you and Chef Saltbaker would have been compared to the lovely Fay Wray in the clutches of King Kong, or any other damsel in distress in the arms of a monster.
You, the soul of the woman he loved, was now going to be the key to his master plan.
"When your heart and soul is baked into the Wondertart, the powers of the astral plane will be mine! Please don't cry, my love... I understand that you are scared. But think of it like this: you will become a part of me! We will be together forever. Our souls shall be linked and joined into one and no force on earth could tear us apart. We will become a love story no poet could ever conceive. Doesn't that sound nice?" Chef Saltbaker said, caressing your cheek, wiping away your tears with his thumb.
You couldn't say anything. Whether out of shock or of fear, you just couldn't speak, or scream, or fight back. Your mind was spinning, conflicted over life and death, love and betrayal. You wanted to hate him. You truly did. But you found his macabre love and devotion... strangely endearing.
As to why that was, you couldn't explain it if you tried.
Were you really going to sacrifice your own soul to your lover?
That answer was immediately answered when you felt Saltbaker's lips against yours. With one final passionate kiss, you had sealed your fate.
You don't know how this happened...
One minute you were sitting on the counter and the next, you were well smol. REALLY smol.
"Sweet tart ? Where are you" said your boyfriend
"I'm down here dear!" You shouted up. He soon looked down at you and a look of shock appeared on his face, "Sweetie! How did you get so... Small??"
You explained to him how one minute you were just sitting on the counter your normal size and the next, you were small.
~couple hours later~
Saltbaker pov: {HA BET YOU DIDN'T SEE THAT COMING!}
I was staring at y/n they just looked so cute that small and in my hands! But so many things could hurt them..
Their so pretty I just want to put them in a jar~
.........
That's it.
I'll put them in a jar
"Dear? What are you doing?" They asked me.
"OH nothing Sweet tart! Just grabbing something!"
3rd pov
Before y/n knew it they were dropped in a jar, shocked they looked up and tried to jump out but a lid was put on top
"WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS?!" Y/N screamed
"I'm trying to protect you hun~" he smiled
"Now let's go up stairs shall we?"
After some time people started to become concerned and asked where they were but saltbaker would always brush them off and change the subject.
But in reality they were always there they could hear everything.
Soon they accepted that they would be smol probably forever everyday after the bakery closed he would take you down to bake with him, or at least to watch him bake. He would hold you in his hands up to his face so you could give him little kisses and hugs.
He could protect them and they would be together. Forever.
{THANK YOU ANON FOR THIS LOVELY REQUEST!!!!! I had fun with this and honestly it was a brilliant idea. Hearts and re-blogs are welcomed, with comments and questions along with requests!}
"Cuphead: The Delicious Last Course (SugarBowl Edition)"
1 | 2 | 3 | ♧
chapter 3/? | word count 2k | oc&canon | dark themes
In that far off corner of Inkwell Isle, the cups travelled in search of the Wondertart ingredients. With determination in their hearts, they walked until they found themselves in the midst of the desert.
A brawl had brewed, Esther Winchester was defeated, and sure enough, Cuphead, Mugman, and Ms. Chalice got  their hands on the Desert Limes. Once they did, they hauled the whole sack all the way back to town. It took them a bit of time, as they were somehow heavier than they were prepared for. Though, eventually, they did finally pass through the square and right into Saltbaker's bakery.
Steadily, Ms. Chalice and Cuphead dragged the sack of limes through the door of the establishment, with Mugman drifting in as a ghost behind them with his encouragement. Their efforts made the bell ring loudly and announced their presence to Chef Saltbaker, who was bringing water to a boil in the kitchen. He stopped as soon as he heard the bell, and he brought himself behind the counter to greet his visitors with an expectant look on his face and his arms crossed over his chest.
"Oh! Welcome back, my heroic little friends!" Saltbaker smiled down at the cups, and he leaned over the counter gesturing to the sack. "I see you've rescued the limes."
"That's right, mister!" Cuphead beamed as he held up one of the glistening green limes from the sack. "We got 'em right here! Sure was a doozy getting 'em too."
"Goodness I'll bet that it was," he nodded, tapping a finger against his temple. "Those dastardly deviants are nothing to scoff at, as you've seen. But I just know you cups are giving it your all for those Wondertart ingredients, so do keep it up! You can guarantee that we'll be working just as hard here too, perfecting the recipe. We all need to remain steadfast in our collective quest."
"Oh we'll have it all ready in no time, don't you worry!" Mugman's little ghost blurted out, which made Saltbaker laugh heartily.
"At the rate you're going," he continued with his hands on his hips. "I think I can confidently say I don't have to! Now then, if you would just set those limes in my bowl, that would be swell. We'll store what you've retrieved here while you're off getting the rest."
The cups looked expectantly around the chef's glass hands, but they couldn't see any bowl he was referring to. That was when they stared past him at the lanky bowl character, who had been this whole time kneading dough and pinching them into circles in the kitchen. He was hunched over and his eyes were focused on his movements, with an intensity in both. However, they halted once Saltbaker called out for him.
"Bowlcut," he hummed. "Come gather these limes for me, will you?"
Upon the chef's request, the bowl set the dough down and marched steadily around until he loomed over the cups with a stern look. Perhaps it was his tiredness, perhaps it was his overall distaste in most others, perhaps it was his defense mechanism... Whatever it was, it immediately held up a wall between himself and the kids. He had to hold it up, he figured. So, there he towered over them, unable to blow the dark clouds away from his face.
Cuphead swallowed back his nerves, bracing himself and the limes in front of the bigger ceramic while Mugman and Ms. Chalice hid behind him. Meanwhile, Saltbaker simply put a hand to his cheek and chuckled at Bowlcut's scowl.
"Oh, I wouldn't fret about him, cups!" Saltbaker said with a reassuring smile. "That's only Bowlcut, my-... partner. My business partner! And he has been for quite a while now."
Bowlcut glanced over at him with a look that almost seemed cocky to the cups. They were still a bit too bewildered by this bowl to see the salt shaker's face glow pink, but oh, did he certainly see it. Through his eyes, he gave Saltbaker's expression a smirk that quietly said to him "Your... 'partner'? Aww, baby". He dropped it back to a stern look as he focused on the kids again. Then he himself dropped to one knee with his hands clasped over it, and he leaned his head towards them.
Immediately, they could see how hollow and deep his head went. The shadows around the edge made it look like a black hole, empty and soulless. So unnaturally void.
"Well uh," Cuphead commented in a shaky little voice that seemed to echo against Bowlcut's porcelain. He swallowed back a thick lump that had formed in his throat. "Gee, you're uh... I don't remember seeing you before."
"He's been quite a busy bowl around the bakery today, so he hasn't had the chance to meet you chaps. He may look harsh but he's actually quite a sweetheart. So much so that everything I've ever stirred in him tastes like candy!"
Bowlcut shot a sudden flustered glance at Saltbaker with a low hiss from his nostrils, which admittedly did make the cups chuckle sheepishly. Saltbaker chuckled too with his merry little laugh.
"Aww, why are you making that face?" he hummed cheerfully, as if he was completely unaware of his affect on him. "You know, if we made the bagels in your head, they'd turn into doughnuts."
Bowlcut drummed his fingers impatiently against his leg while the cups continued to giggle at his flustered expression. Saltbaker simply winked at him with a sweet smile on his lips, as if to say "Not even you are denying it". They all focused back on the task at hand when he pointed sharply to the limes and then at his head. Cuphead and Ms. Chalice obliged steadily as they worked together to lift and set the heavy sack right into his head.
"Well, here ya go..." Cuphead gave him a smile, who only returned it with a sharp glance. In fact, he looked at all three of them with a deep edge in his eyes that made them take a little step back. Sure, they figured he was just moody, but still something about his empty head and his lack of mouth still put them off just a bit more than they would've liked to admit.
Bowlcut would've admitted, though, that that was just what he going for. It was for the best.
He stood himself up, his head wobbling just a little as though the limes in them were books balanced on top. Then he took long careful strides to back behind the display next to Saltbaker, whose fingers traced his edge and gently pulled his head towards himself.
"Oh yes," he hummed cheerfully down at the fruits. "These limes look so ripe, don't they? The juices will melt divinely into the Wondertart!"
"Golly," Mugman piped up. "The way you're saying that's making me hungry."
"Me too!" Cuphead chimed in. "Hungry to get the rest of those ingredients!"
"Well, come on then!" Ms. Chalice added. "What are we waiting for, boys? Which one are we grabbing next?"
As the cups chattered excitedly amongst themselves, Saltbaker and Bowlcut exchanged glances at each other. The chef smirked, and the apprentice couldn't tell if it was warm or cunning. Maybe it was both.
Regardless, Bowlcut softly returned the expression as if to say "I see through you, babyshakes. I see through you... I think."
"Alrighty then gang!" The two of them tuned back into hear Cuphead's announcement as he led the way out the door with a finger pointed to the air and a loud, "To the caves we go!"
With that, the other two followed quickly behind him, and they ran off in direction of the cave of the Moonshine Mob. Distillery Dough, they decided, was next on their list.
Back in the bakery, after temportarily closing up shop, Saltbaker pushed the display case out of the way so Bowlcut could make a descent. The chef held out his hands to keep him steady as he made his way down.
"Careful darling," he murmured concernedly to the bowl. "They might just be a little too heavy on your. I mean, your chip-"
Bowlcut looked up at him with a soft yet stern expression, as if to say "You worry too much, my dear; I got this."
Saltbaker only blinked softly in response, but he still held his hands out to keep him steady as he descended into the basement.
While the bowl made his way through the dimly lit dungeon and into the basement's kitchen, Saltbaker sat above ground contemplating. That yellow glow, of course, came back to his eyes as he did.
One ingredient down, four more to go. Sure, it was only one, but the speed at which they brought it gave him confidence in their ability. And technically it was two ingredients out of six, so they were a third of the way closer to the Wondertart rather than a fifth. He could just begin to smell it baking in the oven. They just had to get those damn four other ingredients.
They had to. They had to. They-
The sound of clinking porcelain pulled Saltbaker from his haze, and he looked back down at the trapdoor. Bowlcut's chip had caught onto the latch chain, but after a short movement of his head, he managed to quickly untangle himself.
The chef's eyes widened and his breath picked up. Of course, it was out of worry for his darling bowl and the fragile fracture on his head. He had worried constantly for his partner before but he certainly wasn't ready to lose the best dish in his cabinet now. After all, he was the one that was going to complete the Wondertart. He was going to add that flavor that the chef was dying to savor. It would be a crown upon his tongue once he ruled over the Astral Plane, and he would do it with him by his side.
His bassin du roi, meant only for him.
"Goodness, darling..." Saltbaker murmured softly, scooping up Bowlcut while he was right in the middle of taking a step out of the door. "Come here before you hurt yourself."
With this sudden sweeping off his feet, the poor bowl could only clutch onto his coat as his surprised porcelain face burned bright cherry red. Meanwhile, the chef's strong arms held him dipped in his arms like a big bottle of olive oil. Saltbaker's eyes stared into Bowlcut's with a sweetness like honey, though their glow still made him look mischievious.
Not that the bowl minded. Perhaps not in the slightest...
"There you are," he murmured, and he leaned his face closely up to his until their noses touched. "Oh, my bowl... You know you are too precious to me, my bowl. When that tart becomes ours, I'll mend you. I'll turn your head to rich ivory and jade, and you'll rule by my side. Over our domain."
Bowlcut felt his heart beating loudly in adoration for Saltbaker. At this point now, he just couldn't help it. A slight tremor shook through his hands as he reached up and caressed his face, gently clinking his forehead against his. It was as if he were telling him that, despite everything, he always had such a way with his words.
Though, his eyes also had that glint to them that said that he just wished the tart wasn't so featured in them lately. The baker couldn't see that, though; he was melting too much into his partner's touch, savoring it in full while it lasted.
This all came to a halt as Bowlcut noticed Saltbaker's rosy glass face fogging up. He paused in wonder at first, but upon realizing it was due to the steam filling up the room, he tapped on his chest and pointed frantically to the kitchen.
The chef's eyelids fluttered at first, his irises dreamy and golden, then they shot open in shock, revealing his eyes to be shiny and black once again.
"Oh, heavens!" He shouted, gently but quickly putting the bowl down before running back to the kitchen. "My water! I almost forgot about it!"
Bowlcut shook his head with a little smirk in his eyes. How badly he wanted to tease him for his use of the word "almost". As if he wasn't just as lost in his bowl as his bowl was in him. He trotted dutifully behind him, heading back to the dough rings to prepare them for a boil. It wouldn't be that long now, though there were still a few steps they had to take.
All would be worth it, though, for the temporary mouth.
And maybe... maybe for him, too.
Chef Saltbaker Yandere alphabet - Jealously, kisses and love letters.
Chef Saltbaker - J, K, & L
Note: Finally decided to write for a DLC character and it feels great! Hope you enjoy your request, love! Word Count: 0.6k Warnings: Delusional mindsets, implied murder, jealousy, mentions of kidnapping, obsessive behaviour, paranoia, possessive behaviour. Prompts: Can be found here.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Jealousy: Do they get jealous? Do they lash out or find a way to cope?
Yes, and quite often, too. However, the reason for it and how he responds to it depends entirely on whether or not he’s been reformed.
Prior to his redemption, Saltbaker can become jealous of seemingly anyone and everyone that interacts with his darling. Be they strangers, acquaintances, friends, family, romantic rivals, it doesn’t matter; as long as they take up his darling’s time or divert their attention away from him, he can and will become jealous.
In most cases, he deals with it by simply grinning and bearing it, only to seethe in private later on. Jealousy is a most unbecoming thing for someone as cheerful and kind as him to feel, so he’s careful to mask it around his darling for fear of it driving them away. However, in cases where the person he’s jealous of poses an actual threat to his relationship with them, he’s not above disposing of them as swiftly as possible
As for post-redemption Saltbaker, his rampant jealousy stems not from general possessiveness, but fear. Even though he fully believes himself to have changed for the better, he worries that not everyone feels the same. Thus, whenever his darling interacts with someone else, he can’t help but fear that they’ll try to convince them to leave him.
The only thing able to ease his mind when this happens is his darling. In these instances, he allows them to see a much more vulnerable and unsure side of himself; a side which he usually suppresses. He all but begs them for comfort and reassurance, desperate to hear them promise that they’ll never leave him.
And if they don’t? He might just steal them away. At least that way they can stay with him forever, whether they want to or not.
Kisses: How do they act around or with their darling?
Saltbaker’s behaviour around his darling is almost indistinguishable from his behaviour around everyone else, though that’s not to say there’s no difference in the way he behaves. The most obvious sign of his fondness for them doesn’t take the form of actions or words, but body language. His slightly wider smile, the higher pitch in his voice, the brighter light in his eyes, how he leans ever so slightly closer when speaking with them - all of these differences are extremely subtle and, to most, entirely invisible, but are very telling to anyone with a keen eye.
That being said, there is one major difference between how he treats his darling as opposed to others, though even the most observant person can miss it: prior to his redemption, his displays of kindness towards them are the only times when it’s genuine. Around everyone else, his jolly and goodhearted persona is just that, a persona. But when he’s with his darling, a softness within him that he believed he had buried long ago manages to resurface; it’s only when this happens that he realises what he feels for them is more than simple attraction, and the seeds of his obsession begin to grow.
Love letters: How would they go about courting or approaching their darling?
Whether it’s before, during, or after his descent into villainy, one thing about Saltbaker remains consistent throughout all of it: he adores romance. Love letters, long walks on the beach, baking together, kissing in the rain, giving his coat to his partner when it’s cold - any romantic or domestic gesture you can think of, he’s likely fantasised about it at some point.
Because of this, it should come as no surprise that his approach to courting his darling is like something straight out of a romantic movie. He can’t help himself; even at his most despicable, he wants to have nothing short of a picture-perfect, fairy tale romance with them, and as long as they reciprocate this desire, he will happily sweep them off their feet in the most cheesy, cliché, overly sweet way possible.
Yandere! Chef Saltbaker x reader (2nd part!!)
Tumblr media
A/N: Well, you guys REALLY liked the first one! And I’ve had multiple people request a part 2! This time, I’d like to mention @sensitivebish26 and @chipichopi for part 2! Love you guys <3 If you need to read part one, link is here! The headcanons are there as well :D
Now, ONTO PART 2!!!
~Word count: 0.6k~
     You’re at a loss for words. What is going on? First he seems jealous, and now he’s cuddling against you like frosting on a cake. You’re a little uncomfortable, but you try to play it off calmly. This is so strange to you, your best friend... like this.       “Chef, I think it’s getting late, I need to head home-” You smoothly say. You lived in a small house in downtown Inkwell Isle 4. It’s not the safest place, you living near a gang, the “Moonshine Mob” is what they call themselves. Just a bunch of troublemakers. But you don’t want to be in this position any longer, and just want to make it home and sleep it off.      “But why don’t you stay here, Y/N? Your place isn’t the safest,” Saltbaker asks softly. “You can take the bed, and I take the couch? Doesn’t that sound nice?” he finishes, pushing you into the side of the couch with more cuddles.      “I’d stay, but I really want to get home now. There’s, um, dishes I need to do! And I need to feed my rat,” You reply. You don’t even have a pet rat OR dishes to do, you just want to get away from the situation, and hope that he’s “better’ tomorrow. But Saltbaker doesn’t comply, he instead stands up and bends over, placing a hand on your stomach so you don’t try and get away.      “No. Don’t you live near mobsters? If it’s getting late, it may be their chance to strike on such a beauty,” He tells you in a serious tone. “You’ll be staying here tonight. No questions asked. You’ll take the bed, you hear me?” His voice grows louder, scaring you a bit. Seriously, what has gotten into him!?
   You nod, to worried to reply. He starts walking away to the back room, opens the door, and heads in. It’s just you and your thoughts now, and you really don’t want to stay the night. But those yellow eyes can’t mean anything good. Should you really try to escape after seeing them again?
     You decide to just comply and stay the night. What’s the worst that could happen? You really just want to sleep, today was just downright cuckoo.
     “Chef? Uh, where am I supposed to go?” You shout, hoping he’ll hear. All of the sudden, you hear glass shattering, stomping, and loud muttering. He doesn’t answer your question, the only response you get instead is silence. Not very helpful.
     So you sit back on the couch and start twiddling your thumbs, waiting. Whatever broke must’ve been pretty important if he didn’t answer you, he always gives you his upmost attention. Just then, a door swings open, and a panting Saltbaker makes his way over to you.      “You can -pant- sleep in there -pant- tonight,” He says, pointing in the direction of what looks like his bedroom. “Just don’t look in the closet.”      A little odd, but you’re only here to sleep and get your mind off of what happened today. No need to look at anything personal. Besides, you’d never go against something a friend told you. Unless in a dire situation.
     You get up, hug Chef a goodnight, and head over to his room. Although you don’t look back at him, you worry if you should have given him that hug after what happened on the couch.
     You enter the room and shut the door. It’s definitely his room, there’s trophies stacked on shelves, medals on hooks, pictures of food on the wall, and a 4 little photos above his bed- they’re of you, Ms. Chalice, Cuphead, and Mugman. How sweet!
     It’s a fairly-sized bed too, with a light blue blanket and white sheets. You make your way under the covers, and slowly but surely, drift off into sleep.
     But you didn’t notice him watching you through the night.      And boy, was he glad about that.
~Okay, now I DEFINETLY have to write a part 3!! This chapter was a little less spicy than my first, but I plan to make the 3rd part a little more “enjoyable” for all those simps out there (Including me LOL)~
Yandere Ms. Chalice x Reader with Chef Saltbaker enabling her fantasies?
(Let’z go!)
Yandere Ms. Chalice x Reader ~(Romantic)~
(short)
(Game Chalice btw)
TW/CW: heavily implied love potions, obsessive behavior, fights.
Tumblr media
Ms. Chalice was always jealous of the boys. They had physical bodies & she didn’t. You barely hung out because of that. But one day she received a cookie from the baker in town & he promised that it would give her a physical form!
Chalice was ecstatic to hear this & was even more happy when it worked! She could hug you! Dance with you! Fight with you! But, the cookie didn’t last.
You & the boys ran to the bakery to see if he had another cookie.
Once it came to the point where Chalice had a physical body & you were both about to go out to get the ingredients, chef Saltbaker pulled Chalice aside & told her that he had…a special dessert. A dessert that, if fed to you, would make you love her. Ms. Chalice thought about it. It would be nice if you loved her as much as she loved you…she agreed to it.
She loved fighting with you! She loved running around with you & she loved the silly little jokes you made. She couldn’t wait to go back to the bakery & get that dessert!
After bringing back the ingredients though…things went downhill. Very downhill.
Ms. Chalice was furious at chef Saltbaker’s betrayal. Furious because he lied about the dessert. You had never seen Chalice so enraged before. & turns out chef Saltbaker hadn’t either.
She beat him with ease, oddly enough being able to preform more power-ups due to just the pure emotion she felt.
“YOU SLIPPERY CHEF! YOU PROMISED ME! YOU SAID THAT IF I BROUGHT YA AAALLL THE INGREDIENTS YA NEEDED YOU’D BAKE IT! WELL?! WHERE IS IT?!” Chalice screamed. You had never heard her scream.
“Yer just a no-good, slippery, manipulative SNAKE!” & with that, she beat Saltbaker.
“Can’t believe I trusted a backstabbing, lyin’, creepy-lookin’…” Ms. Chalice mumbled as she left chef Saltbaker in…less than ideal position. In this world, no injury is “too much”, but Chalice went…all-out this time. Why was she so angry…? I guess you have Cuphead back now, so maybe it doesn’t matter now? Still, it concerns you that Chalice gets this upset over not having a physical body. Or, at least, that’s what you think.
