May I request a birth scenario for the 2ps. You can do either side first and make 2 separate posts.

There is one ask further up in my ask box asking for the dreaded birth scenario with the 2p axis anyway, so I’ll just be doing the 2p allies for now. Warning for implied non-con, manipulation & coercion. You’re reading this at your own risk.

Yandere 2p! Allies – Dreaded Birth

America

“Not like you have much choice, cupcake”, Allen lazily drawled from his place next to you. He had tidied himself up for the birth, and it was downright surreal to see him in a blue overall with a hairnet and mask. Exhausted as you were from pressing the baby out, you had nearly not recognised him for a moment.

“You are not the mother of that…”, you began weakly only to be cut off by him.

“Yes, I’m the daddy and you are the mommy and you’ll act the part. Taking care of another human being will be good for your mental health. We talked about this sugar. You are just acting like this because you just had a difficult birth and post-partum depression is already setting in. Plus, you’re anxiety is showing again.”

Allen would quickly see what you are up to and would do his best to stamp it out as soon as possible. He would have possible caught on to your true feelings on the matter long before the deliver would have taken place with how you would be more emotional and prone to lash out in the weeks leading up to the event. As such, he would have a plan in mind to deal with you.

Would either take you to a small country hospital or a hippy commune to have the birth. There, he would either know the people very well, letting him be the more credible person in the room, or it would be a group of complete strangers that wouldn’t care about your fate and therefore have no incentive to intervene.

Would likely give you a joint or cannabis tea afterwards to make you calm down. Promises would be made and he would have a serious heart-to-heart conversation with you, doing his best to sway you. If else, the carrot and the stick will have to do.

Canada

Sighing Mark turned to the midwife, asking: “Mind leaving us alone for a minute? I have to have a word with my wife.”

“Please don’t go”, you stated. “I don’t want to be alone with him.”

Cassidy, as she was called, looked uncertain between you and Mark, not knowing who to heed. She probably also sensed that something foul was afoot, having likely been in similar situations before, situations where not everything was as it seem on the surface.

“I had a fight with my honey-buns before the contractions started. With everything that happened today, she is probs more mad at me than she usually would be.”

“Alright. I’ll just be by the door. When you have finished comforting her, not hesitate to shout”, the woman said somewhat hurriedly, and then scurried out of the room. Typical – she just wanted to believe what he had said, because the alternative would be so extremely troubling. Now you were alone with the wolf.

Mark could do his best to construct the situation as just an unfortunate series of events. Though, because he wouldn’t be the most sociable and suave guys, he would likely leave opening that you could easily exploit. Taking with the nurse a bit or some other person witnessing the awkward scenes, and you could have a very willing accomplice that could help you escape and even testify in court.

Aside from that, would sit on your bed and do a long lecture, while holding the baby in his arms. Would chide you of disturbing the sleep of the little one if you would raise your voice and reprimand you for being so heartless as to rejecting such a cute and helpless thing that would suffer dearly without your aid. If it initially wouldn’t work, then he would have the following weeks to convince you.

China

Zao raised a thin eye-brow, a rather emotional gesture for such a stoic man. Or at least, for when he wasn’t under the influence of anything. Ignoring your protests, he shoved the baby in your arms, forcing you to take it unless the small tumbled to the side of the narrow bed you had just given birth in and smash its head open. The midwives had just finished washing the wax off the pliable body and swaddled the boy in blankets. After handing the father his child, they had all filed out doubtlessly in accordance to some preplanned schedule.

This China wouldn’t leave much room for argument. He would ensure that events would be framed to make sure that out of the two of you, you would be viewed as the evil doer. The people around you would offer you a lot of unsolicited advice on child rearing and ensure that would be doing your job of a dutiful mother. Should you fail on doing that, they would be the ones to lecture you and shame you. That could or couldn’t be Zao’s intentions, yet the outcome would be that you would feel the pressure more acutely, since it wouldn’t just be some crazed faux-lover telling you what to do.

It would be one of those circumstances where he would continuously invite people over, just to force you into the role of mother. Other’s would gossip and look down on you if you wouldn’t, after all.

All the time, would act as if you are not protesting against motherhood – shoving the child in your arms, leaving you alone with him and assigning you the role of primary caretaker. He is not going to feed the boy, would you let the kid starve? You know that you could go to jail for child abuse if you’d do so.

England

Oliver giggled softly, bright blue eyes shining.

“What did you say, poppet?”, he asked brightly. His appearance made you step back. He was covered in blood, your blood to be exact, seeing that he had played midwife.

You had hoped that the deliver would have meant that you would have been allowed to see other people. Sadly, he had deftly dashed your hopes by doing the task himself. It shouldn’t have surprised you – the mere notion of you in somebody else’ arms drove him berserk.

“Nothing, dear”, you answered quietly, feeling tears well up in your eyes.

Oliver wouldn’t hesitate to go full batshit insane if you would ruin his dream of a happy little family. He would desire, no require a sweet little life with a darling sweet wife and a cute tyke to be happy, so don’t dare tear that away from him.

If you would insist on being difficult, he would go one of two routs. The first one would be dragging you to his personal torture chamber, disregarding that you just gave birth, and torturing you a few hours. You would only be allowed out every once in a while for a quick clean-up and to breastfeed the child.

Or he could play the long game by turning the child you would hate so much against you. Then he would have an ally in keeping your behaviour in check. Perhaps, that route would be so much to his liking that he would force another child on you and repeat the whole process.

France

Francois carelessly snipped the finished bud of his ciggerette towards the rublish bin. It missed and rolled on the floor, vanishing in an arc behind the bin. Sighing for the untempth time this hour already and looked up at you. You were staring at the craddle with bitter contempt, as if the squeaking child had gravely insulted you. This was slowly going too far. Sure, he had would also be more peeved if he would be bleeding from his genitals for over a month and stretched skin turned into a wrinkly flap of tissue. "It is not as if she tried to kill you so stop trying to set her on fire with your eyes", he tiredly commented. Affairs like this made him even more tired than usual. Maybe there was still some German beer in the fridge to calm his nerves. "And yet she still nearly did", you curtly snip back, all to happy to let out your anger now. Ah yes, there was that. On good days Francois could easily forget that you nearly died during childbirth. Partially, he had been angry at the baby for that, at least in the beginning, however, unlike you, he was a rational person and worked quickly to overcome his misgivings. - Francois' solution would just be to shrug off your responses and wait. Surely you would have only been hysterical at the moment and given a few weeks you would surely calm down. If not, then he would resort to violence - burns and choking and attempts to impregnate you again. - Though, that would only be the case if he would still want the child. If you could argue your case well enough, then he would put the child up for adoption. That would be the outcome anyway, if he would find the child to be too difficult he would give it away, regardless of your feelings on the matter.

Russia

Victor raised his eyebrows in askance and then his expression proceeded to melt into one of mirth. The usually stone expression vanished, the corners of his eyes crinkling and his mouth forming into a smile that had too many teeth. Hiding the lower half of his face inside his signature red scarf, he looked even more sinister. That was when it came to you - his happiness stemmed from giddy anticipation. You had just broke one of the rules in this elaborate game of cat and mouse, you had just given him an exuse to act out his crueller fantasies. Normally, you were more careful, but this time, you had lost it all because you had allowed your emotions to get the better of you for the fraction of a minute. Those red eyes, twinkled down at you as he carefully laid the buddled little babe in your lap. You felt a shiver run down your spin as he patted your messy hair. The gesture would be affectionate, if you didn't know him. Ice gathered in your belly and you found yourself frozen with dread. "I'll keep your words in mind", he said softly, and with that, you knew that you were doomed. - Victor would use this as an excuse to let out his pent up anger and frustration out on you. For a few weeks, you would become his emotion punching bag. Of course, it would be constructed so that you would likely not suffer permanent damage. Emphasise on likely, because that could change very quickly if would provoke him. While standardly a very collected man, when he would already be swimming in anger, he would lose all tolerance for bs. - During that time, he would still have you tend to the child. Your treatment of the little one would determine if your punishment would be extended or shortened as well as the intensity of it. Of course, he wouldn't tell you of this - it would just be more fun for him to have you figure it out yourself. - Such an "event" could occur again and again during the life of your child, depending on your behaviour towards them. Family is something that Victor would take extremely seriously.

Hello and welcome to my shameless Hetalia self-shipping sideblog! I'm just here to write self-indulgent fanfics, imagines, headcanons, etc. So, if you wanna go along for the ride, hop on in! 😉

❤ Oliver is an interesting yandere. It does take a while for his yandere side to go in full swing, but once it does he is terrifying. But, before that he is actually scared of actually talking to his s/o. He first saw them across the street, bearly in the range of his little shop. And to Oliver, it was love at first sight.

❤ When Oliver first sees them, he can't get them out of his mind. He won't be able to properly concentrate on his work and his head will always be up in the clouds. He will try to pull himself together, but he just can't. That's when he realizes that he needs to know more about s/o. It first starts out pretty OK, he's just watching them through his little shop window. His s/o always passes by everyday, at the same time and this makes Oliver very happy. But after a very short while, this just won't be enough.

❤ Oliver will start to stalk his s/o. He wants to know more about them, and he will quickly learn their daily routine. He also wants to protect them. The world is full of dangerous people and who knows who might attack his s/o! Oliver often takes pictures and he hangs them up in his bedroom.

❤ This will go on for a while, until one day s/o changed their routine. They found Oliver's little shop and they wanted to buy something. This just might be the happiest day of his life! Oliver doesn't even know what to do with himself! The moment s/o enters his bakery, he feels as if he lost the ability to both hear and speak. The only thing he hears is his rapid heartbeat and s/o's angelic voice. Oliver will snap out of his daze, but just bearly. Oliver does his best to be the perfect gentleman in order to somehow woo s/o. He even gives them a free cupcake!

❤ From that day forward, it has become a part of s/o's routine to visit Oliver's bakery. It's always around the evening so Oliver has time to spend with his s/o! He uses the knowledge he gathered while stalking them to his advantage, and it will almost be impossible to dislike him!

❤ Oliver is still somewhat shy around his s/o, but he will eventually start to get a bit more bold. He will gently touch their hand, and he might even hug them! He loves how s/o smells, he just can't get enough of it!

❤ After a couple of months of friendship, Oliver will start to become more obsessive. He will start manipulating and guilt tripping his s/o. Whenever they make any sort of plans that don't involve him, he is quick to start telling them how lonely he is, and how much he needs them. He always manages to act so perfectly that s/o will just have to apologize and stay by his side.

❤ Slowly, people from s/o's life will begin to disappear. Oliver will make sure that s/o no longer has friends so that they can only rely on him. He knows that this will badly hurt his s/o, but he can't risk his s/o falling for someone else. So, it has become rather common for s/o to run in to Oliver's arms, eyes full of tears while Oliver gently pats them on the head, while telling them that he will never leave them and that he is the only person that cares for them.

❤ To cheer his darling up, Oliver often makes them all sorts of treats! From delicious cakes to cute cupcakes, there is nothing that Oliver can't bake! And he also likes to throw little tea parties with his s/o, and he loves it when they wear something fancy, especially if the said item is in any sort of pastel colour.

❤ If anyone has romantic feelings for his s/o, Oliver is going to flip out. He will kill that person as soon as possible! The idea of his precious s/o leaving him hurts so much. What if they get mistreated, or hurt? He needs to protect them by any means necessary!

❤ Oliver will definitely kidnap and lock his s/o up in his basement. He doesn't like punishments, but sometimes they are needed. He wants his s/o to be obedient, to only have eyes for him. He will most likely use mental punishments, but he won't hesitate to chop s/o's legs off if necessary.

(Alastor's POV) (First Meeting)

I looked at the portal that ripped open the hotel and out pop a blue figure and I looked at him as his face was covered. He apologized over and over that he did not mean to open and then he looked at me and screamed hiding behind Charlie and I was confused. But that is when I saw his face peaking out above her shoulder. The second thing I notice he looked just like me.... But the first thing I notice he was adorable and I could not help but stare.

Once we got him to calm down he told everyone that he was a diferent Alastor from a alternate universe where everyone takes on their opposite personally and color scheme. For Example His Angel dust who goes by Anthony is a straight prude mobster. Much better than my angel dust and Charlie is a cold uncaring demoness that goes by the name Charlotte and so on.

I did not care much for the others all I could think of what MY opposite was like. He looked at me and his face went a bright pink and he started to play with his mic and I felt my heart race. What on earth.

"My name is Alastor, but everyone calls m-me Ally.." He says his voice so timid and shy. "Or blueberry stripper... in Valentino case."

I glared at that a growl almost coming out of me, the idea of anyone seeing him strip made my blood boil. Well unless it was me... wait what?

"Unlike this w-wo-world Alastor, I am timid, shy, sexual when ho-hor-horny... Oh god that is Em-em-embarrassing to say!" He says he stutters covering his face with his hands clearly not ready to say it.

We continue and I did not say a single word to him but I knew that I wanted him and I would have him. I get what I want that was a fact.

It felt like the first time he tried drugs, the feeling of losing yourself under its control, though it dulled over time the more he took it which led him to looking for more harder drugs, which too, dulled over time.

But you, you had awoken that feeling of it back inside of him which he thought he had lost long ago.

It was something he couldn't lose, he had to must get more of it.

You first met the intimating Russian was when your two countries were doing a public announcement that the two of you had to attend.

Something about having y'all be side by side while your bosses sign papers was to show how close y'all were supposed to be.

He had been through these type of meetings before with many different countries, it wasn't that important to him, still, it was majorly just to look nice and pretty for everyone to see.

Making a few adjustments to his outfit outside the doors waiting for you, (even pondering if you were even going to show up once) but when he saw you in your best outfit walking to see him, all his thoughts vanished.

Something about you had made him stop momentarily before he regained himself (though with his resting bitch face it was hard to tell on your part) to properly greet You.

He had a habit of judging people when he first met them, seeing if they were worth his time to talk too, but when he looked at you he couldn't tell what made you so special to him. It almost scared him.

maybe this meeting wasn't going to be as dreedful as he had thought.

Let's just say when you first met the Louise, it wasn't in the most ideal place.

Not behind a Building smoking a cigarette, trying to calm your nerves before a meeting.

When you threw open the back door and hitting a certain Frenchman causing him to drop his own cigarette, you knew you were screwed.

When you were about to get cursed out in French you quickly apologized even going as far to try to not get even more beat up as you thought you were, by trying to say sorry in French.

He just kept staring down at you with a blank exspression as you quickly excused yourself to go to the meeting. You felt like you were going to accend when he walked into the meeting and sat right next to you, just your luck.

Afterwards you went back behind the building (making sure to not hit anymore) to see that you were alone, much to your relief. It wasn't until your back got smacked by the door did someone join you saying "Thats payback for earlier.."

Softly you chuckled and offered him a cigarette saying "Even?" Which he let a sign out but took one.

As the two of you just sat in the ally in silence when he casually looked over at you, feeling a tiny bit irritated that you were still nice to him even after he purposefully smacked the door with you and even went as far to offer him a cigarette.

it confused him to find a genuinely nice person.

And as you went back inside, leaving him, he couldn't help but feel like he wanted it for himself...

and only for himself.

Trying to hastily gather all your papers and try to get the icing off some of them(more like smudge it into the papers more), you didnt notice how the Brit was so close to you before you looked up, staring right into his colorful eyes.

The odd gesture left you feeling a bit touched but you couldn't stall, you still had to get the papers delivered.

Excusing yourself you quickly got up and continued on your way, making it a point to repay him later and to be more mindful of who's around the corner.

Oliver continued to stare at you as you left, the feeling of Butterfly's in his stomach being replaced with a stinging pain with seeing you disappear behind a corner.

The whole city was booming with fireworks, dancing, and of course, drinking.

It was a day that you looked forward to for the whole year, a day filled with joy and being proud of what you represented.

It felt nice to unwind for day (since it was a national holiday your boss let you have the day off), you sorta lost yourself when you started dancing to the music that was blasting in the streets, merging in with all the drunks as fireworks lit up the sky.

What happened next happened so quickly that it took your drunken mind a minute to process.

You had tripped over yourself bumping into a stranger, and if it hadn't been for them catching you, you would have hit the hard pavement of the road.

"I've seen you've fallen for me, dollface!"

Was all the stranger said with looking at your confused and drunken face. All you could do then was just burst out laughing as the two of you started dancing together.

It was then that Allen knew he had fallen for you, your laugh. It was like nothing he had ever heard before, and it was the only thing he wanted to hear!

He would do anything to just see you smile and laugh.

America

“So, so, so. What in hell’s name to ya think you’re wearing their sugar. You’re tipping over the neat lines we’ve established before I lay you over my knee!”, he growled as he stalked closer to you, his avocado sandwich completely forgotten on the table. The sight of you in somebody else’s colours was enough to drive him half-mad, a thing that was apparent by the wild glint in his dark eyes.

You gulped, because you knew that this had the full potential to spiral out of control and end in torrents of tears.

To say that Allen would angry at the sight would be the understatement of the century. He would be losing his mind and if you wouldn’t comply with him in a jiffy than he would start yelling, and he would start getting violent. And nobody loves a violent Allen, because that means blood, tears and insults.

In any case, he would probably end up ripping to offending article from your body, without any regard to any potential onlookers starting through the window and glimpsing your bare skin and set those shreds on fire with a camping cooker. Preferably with you in the same room.  

To put a territorial claim on you, he might take you to a tattoo studio and have the Stars & Strips eternally painted somewhere on your figure. A large one, with vivid colours so that you would never be rid of it.

Canada

James awkwardly held you by the arms, his arms all stiff and stretched by the elbows. Overall, the scene was akin to one where two cousins stuck in a furious love/hate relationship are forced to pose together at the annual family photo shoot.

“What are you wearing?”, he gruffly asked and a slightly confused voice. He was unsure of what emotion was appropriate to display in this situation, what would get you to conform to his simple wish. Your raised eyebrows told him it would be anything but simple.

James would know that he could be rough and aggressive and hurt you. You’re just so fragile. Then again, there are only a few people that he wouldn’t classify as fragile. So, he would try to be gentle with you. He would try to coax you about of it with really awkward suggestions mixed with orders.

Best advice would be just to go along with it least he would resort to violence and let him drench it in right poison and use as part of a trap. He’d be distant to you for the next few days, part punishment, part the desperate need to sort out his thoughts least he’d doing something rash and unforgivable.

China

“I thought you loved me!”, he whined and scooted over to you on the couch, proceeding to cling to you and proceeded to paw at the offending garment, visibly upset. It was evident that he was high, he only acted so fussy when he had laudanum in his system, like a sleep deprived little child that was torn between rising a stink and wanting to fall asleep.

It only made all of this worse.

Zao wouldn’t find your little fashion trick funny at all. He would whine and complain and be a little bitch about it. He wouldn’t stop. He’d start crying somewhere down the line, especially is he would be high, and would use your shirt to blow his nose. Now, all tissues must go to the bin, so you would have no choice but to discard it.

Should you confront him on his behaviour when he would be sober again, then he would just shrug his shoulders and tell you, you had brought that on yourself. And that the shirt just made you look ugly anyway.

England

He pounced on you the moment you skipped through the door. In a blur of colour, you went down as you tried to comprehend what had happened. It was only when your head band against the linoleum floor that you understood that Oliver was on top of you.

His knees dug into your stomach and you chortled, nervously: “Oliver! I didn’t expect you.”

For all your intentions, it didn’t defuse the situation. Instead, it only hastened your fate. Blue eyes were wide like those of a rabid wolf and he grinned – shark teeth, eye teeth – down at you as if he were about to tear through your flesh.

In short – you would be neck deep in the quagmire. England would detest the sight of foreign colours caressing your skin in such a way, would jump to assumptions that this was an indicator that you were planning to flee from him.

That would spur him to take countermeasures. First, he would make you get rid of the flag, make you set it on fire yourself. Secondly, he’d go ahead and paint the Union Jack on your naked back with icing and construct an evening where he would remind you over and over again that you’re his.  

France

Glancing up from the table, he squinted as he took you in and then murmured cryptically: “I thought so.” Confused, you approached him and nudged his shoulder. He only stared at the air in front of him with a far away look in his eyes that indicated that he wasn’t mentally present.

“What do you mean?”, he inquired, completely puzzled as to way he had such a reaction. Looking at you with jaded blue eyes, he sunk his gaze to rest on your shirt and then shook his head, and murmured: “Nothing.”

It wouldn’t be nothing. It would be him beating himself up. France would see you wearing another country’s flag as an indirect form of rejection and would immediately ask himself “What I have I done wrong?”. That would be a question that would launch into him into the deep part of his depression.

At night, he would  lie awake and stare at the wardrobe that would be housing the offending piece of cloth. He would entertain getting up and take the shirt out and then throwing it out the window where it would lie in the dirt. But he wouldn’t follow through and instead choose to wallow in his misery.

Russia

“Soccer fan?”, he asked from his place at the window. Igor hadn’t even bothered to look up from the crossword puzzle he was doing. He had probably seen you from your reflection in the glass panes next to him.

Out of all the personifications, he would be the one that would take the whole matter the lightest. Rather than immediately jumping the gun, he would be willing to listen to you and way your reasons. If it would just be something as harmless as a sporting event, then he wouldn’t give any further comment.

Only if you would go overboard with your interest, start obsessing over the other country and completely ignoring him would he put his foot down. Ironic, regarding his obsession with you.

Yandere 2p! Allies – Cynicism

America

Allen would exploit your broken state to the fullest. All the trauma and hardships that had made you hapless and cynical would serve as an excuse for him to take you into his custody. You wouldn’t be really able to take care of yourself in such a state, or not? You would be dependant on him, on his oh so gracious care. The other personifications would be torn between seeing it as a display of his own self-importance and a symptom that he is on the path to becoming a better man.

This America would be semi-obsessed with the idea of fixing you. Of course, he would know that life in this world is nasty, short, and brutal – your state would just be an affirmation of this. And, since he would see himself as above all this twisted, rotten world, he would attempt to fix you. As in – manipulating you into feeling and displaying them (“Are you a damn psychopath or what? Show some emotions, doll”) and using direct threats and insults when you don’t react how he want you to react, as a way of ‘training’ you (“Why are you frowning so much? I got you a f’ing puppy as a present and you just continue to stare out of the window! I get it now – you are a demon that would skin this pupper alive and then eat her raw”).

Canada

In truth, James wouldn’t mind it all that much. In some ways, you would be a very low-maintenance lover – wouldn’t need excessive force or persuading to come to his cabin, you wouldn’t throw petty tantrums at the drop of a hat, and he wouldn’t need to keep a very close eye on you least you escape. On some occasions, he would also use your state as a means of pointing out how cruel and abusive all the others are, and chide them for all their wrong doings. Going hand in hand with that would be him signalling what a kind and virtuous person he is.

Contrasting to that would be the moments when he would be irritated by your attitude to an unholy degree. You would be apathetic to his shows of courage and his intimidation tactics. Because of your past you wouldn’t be extremely doting, and your submissiveness would be rehearsed and mechanical. Besides, somewhere down the line he would become fed up with waking up to you screaming because you had yet another nightmare. It would be the sort of frustration that would lead to blows and screaming and even the occasional burst of tears. Some days, he would intensely wish that you would be more human.

China

Zao would be torn about your state. Your standard emotionless and passivity towards violence wouldn’t make him any more or any less obsessed with you. In total, he would see it as a means to an end. In that twisted fashion, he would provide for you and make you dependant on him. Due to all the highs and withdrawal symptoms and after-effects, you wouldn’t notice the shackles and the true meaning behind all his sly world before it would be too late.

In some way, the same protective instincts that Allen would display would come out be Zao as well. To him, you would be like a small swallow chick that had fallen out of the nest – he would have to take care of you and feed you so that you would become strong again. Strong being very relative in this context. Strong enough to be this lover, but not so strong as to not be his lover.

Oliver would be partially distressed by your lack of … life. Being rather energetic himself, he wouldn’t fancy an indifferent partner. If his heart would be a traitor and he would become obsessed with you, then he would start dragging your past experiences about of you. This would be his ultimate show of sadism – of intentionally triggering traumas and the such in order to get extreme emotional reactions out of you. There would also be no way to make him feel guilty for this. After all, you would just exist for his entertainment.

That would also be the method through which he would preform brainwashing. You would be a clean slate after having collapsed from the emotional exhaustion of having to recite your entire past. Once that would be done, he would transform you into the frilly doll you would flawlessly partake in all his interests.

Such a person would be ideal for a personification like Francois. If anything, he wouldn’t be able to stand somebody bursting with optimism and energy. Perhaps, he would even be able to convince to come to him out of your own volition. Who would be able to understand you better, or cater to your needs so well, as somebody that would share your outlook on life.

This France would be able to easily to covert you to Nihilism if you wouldn’t subscribe to the philosophy already. You would lie together in the dark in his dingy apartment, musing about the hopelessness of the world and the meaningless of life. In a steady process, he would drag you even further down, until you would just be a dead-eyed mannequin that seamlessly obey every jerk of your strings.

Victor would be disgusted by you. He, more than anybody alive, had suffered so much, had to bear the brunt of invasions, exclusion, tyranny, and natural disasters. Like Kuro, Francis would be enchanted by your intelligence. But unlike Japan, however, it wouldn’t be focused on the aspect of the hunt and the thrill of the chase. In truth, he would even be fully aware that his fixation with you isn’t exactly health. From time to time doubts might keep him awake at night, or his consciousness would nag him in the back of his mind. However, he would brush these off as irrational and would even go as far as to delude himself that his attachment towards you is normal.

 In the beginning, it would be difficult to detect the red flags because firstly it is normal for France to be a very sentimental person and secondly he tends to rather affectionate to the people around him – giving away compliments like hot buns, touching people on the arm or the back, giving them kisses on the cheek as a greeting even if it is just the second time he has met them… The list goes on, and concluding, it is easy for apparent red flags to go down or simply misconstrued as Francis being Francis. 

“Such a wonderful work of art. Don’t you agree (f/n)?”, Francis asked as he approached you from behind. A few seconds you didn’t even bother to look his way, as engrossed with the painting as you were.

He couldn’t help but appreciate your taste. It was one of David’s finer works, Paris and Helen of Troy seated side be side, both displaying that coy manner that was usually reserved for lovers. And it was lovers that could only fully understand it.

Light-heartedly, you gave him a quick glance over your shoulder along with a pleasant smile. That reminded France of why he often fantasized about being in a similar position as the tragic prince that was depicted in oil on a century old canvas. Maybe it was because it felt like his love for you was something similarly sacrilegious and still holy, like it had been endorsed by the powers that be just to inflict suffering on the world.

Gracefully coming to stand beside you, he laid a gentle hand on the small of your back. For you moment you tensed at that only to then remember that this was typical behaviour of France and that you therefore shouldn’t read into it.

“Yes”, you said and after a long, contemplative pause carried on: “But I like his more aggressive works better. The Oath of the Horiaters for example.”

Francis frown at that. The paintings you were referring to were far more sinister, death in victory. Why of all things did you like the works of Jacques David that displayed his break with the Rocco art style?

He thought it would suit you much better. Art was supposed to be gentle, like a caramel in silk wrappings, that would tenderly melt on the tongue when consumed. One day, he would convert you to see the world through his eyes.

“Why?”

“Because they are more captivating. They carry so much more emotion it is hard not to be moved by them.”

Of course, it would come to the point where you couldn’t overlook his unhealthy style of attachment. In the beginning, you might even fall for him. France would be everything you could seek in a lover: understanding, affectionate and possessing a certain quality of grace that is rare. Over time, however, you would start to notice how his words are so carefully crafted to guide you down a path chosen by him, how he is strangely possessive, how he makes the most choices in the house, especially for you. The realisation would most certainly bum rush you after the honeymoon phase is over.

France would viciously deny that you’re anything but tailor-made for each other, or that he isn’t the perfect lover. It would be a particularly sore thing for you to confront him and speak the truth. He would act like everybody does when an uncomfortable truth is dished out for them, something that they subconsciously know to be undisputable but won’t consciously accept.  

“Please, ma cherie. I love you with all my heart. Why can’t you see that?”, he pleaded with you. At this point he was close to tears, out of frustration and anger and sadness.

Slowly, you shook your head in that condescending manner that he would never have guessed would be directed at him. As you backed towards the door, you continued with your onslaught of scalding words:

“No, you don’t love me. You love yourself, so stop lying to yourself!”

Francis opened his mouth to counter just how ludicrous your claims were, you unabashedly walked over him.

“Don’t say a thing. You don’t love me for who I am – you have this idealised version of me in your head that you want to mould me into. Furthermore, you want me to give you my under adulterated and unconditional affection regardless of how you treat me.

“For you, I am just a means of satisfying your needs, of giving you the gratification you so desperately crave. To you, I am just a means to an end. Then let me say, that to me you’re just a selfish, narcissistic bastard.”

Such cruel accusations, couldn’t you understand basic human empathy?

Upon seeing his shatter expression that was twisted with unending denial, you sneered:

“Are you really so desperate to relive your empire days; Bonnefoy?”
