In Life and in Death Pt. 1
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Summary: over the course of their repeated lives, Lucas Puhlavan becomes obsessed with Count Balcom’s fifth daughter. You.
male!knight x female!count's daughter!reader part 1
CW: mentions of murder, blood and corpses
A/N: check the end for a full one
[Part 2] [Part 3] [Part 4]
Tumblr media
Death.
Death is when your lungs stop inflating with oxygen, when your heart gradually comes to a stop and when your vision slowly fades to black.
Some people find death scary and a creepy affair. Others welcome death and embrace it, leaving the world with a smile on their face. Some fall in between or have no opinion at all. However, two people have different opinions.
If you ask the fifth daughter of Count Balcom, she'll tell you that it's an annoying event and that she wished it would end. If you ask Lucca Puhlavan, a commoner referred to as the Divine Warrior, he'll tell you that he hates it because it takes his loved ones away.
These two souls have similar perceptions of death. This is a story about a woman who is tired of dying and just wants to live and about a man who has sworn to get revenge on the people who robbed him of a peaceful life with his family.
Let the story begin.
You harshly grip the window sill, turning the tips of your fingers white. You shudder at the scene below you. Corpses line the front lawn and blood flows everywhere. You hear screams, yells and pleas for mercy from the occupants of the once-glamorous mansion outside your room. You shake your head at the sight and turn around.
Determined, you make your way to the drawers against the wall of your moonlit room. You unlock one and grab the blue stone glimmering in the faint light. It's called the Returner's Stone. You hold it up to admire it. It's a pretty gem. Round in shape and sparkles with a beautiful blue light. Once consumed, it allows the consumer to travel back in time. However, it can only be used once.
Thud, thud.
You freeze at the sound of footsteps sounding in front of your room. He’s here.
You don't turn around. Even when the chilling creek of the door being opened echoes through the room, even when you hear the tip of a sword drag across the wooden floor and even when the shadow of a man falls on you. “Are you the fifth daughter of Count Balcom?” he asks.
You know the question is rhetorical yet you still turn around and answer, “No. I think you have the wrong person.”
The man in front of you scoffs and you take the time to look him over. His navy blue clothes are soaked with blood. His sword hangs from his right hand dripping with the crimson liquid. His black cape falls over his shoulders and his silver hair catches the moonlight making it seem to shine. You pore into the depths of his grey eyes. You shiver at his gaze. It's cold yet empty.
You're reminded of the 15-year-old boy your father brought 10 years ago. You were later told that he was killed. Murdered in one of the hunts your father liked to organize. You're not sure how he's alive right now.
You stop before you can sink more into your thoughts. Stop it! This isn't the time for these thoughts! “Spare me!” you suddenly blurt out.
Lucca (you think that's the name that was mentioned in the newspapers) immediately responds, “No.”
You grimace. There was no hesitation in his voice. You grip the Returner's Stone tighter and ask, “If-if I saved you and prevented that ‘incident’ would you spare me?”
The tall figure in front of you lets his head fall back and laughs. “No. The only way I would spare you is if you drain all of the Balcom blood from your body. Only then would you be spared.”
You flinch at his creepy laugh and cold gaze. Suddenly, Lucca raises his sword, obviously meaning to strike you down. Adrenaline kicks in and you shove the sparkling blue Returner's Stone in your mouth and swallow.
You suck in a breath at the sudden pain in your chest. Lucca falters and hesitates. Yet before he could swing his sword and complete his revenge, you fall to the floor in agony, clutching your chest. The last thing you remember is the black boots of your would-be murderer filling your fading vision.
Tumblr media
A/N: this is heavily (and I mean heavily) inspired by the manhwa Even if the Villain’s Daughter Regresses. It’s a good read but the ml is kind of annoying. When I was writing this it kinda felt awkward to switch from 3rd person to 2nd person. Should I keep it in 2nd person or switch to 3rd? Also, should I keep it as an ‘x reader’ or make an oc? What do you guys think? Let me know by dropping a comment!

Yandere knight who wants you instead of the princess.
Dead dove Do not Eat Tw. For noncon, MDNI, Fem pov
Yandere knight who has been training in the palace for a very long time. It's an honor for a commoner like him to even set foot into the castle walls, so he works earnestly.
Yandere knight who's been catching glimpses of not only the lovely princess throughout the years, but her handmaidens as well. You're a daughter of a somewhat lesser noble house, and therefore you have essentially been given to the royal family until you're eventually married off to another courtier.
But of all the noble ladies, who often ignore him, he finds you to be the most approachable and kind to him and the other squires. He's developed a bit of a crush on you over the years, and he eventually found it in himself to express his feelings. They were innocent and pure then, and he stood there blushing and awkward waiting for you to accept or deny. He would've taken a no from you. Really, he would have.
But then that pompous bitch got in the way.
The princess had you pulled away by her other attendants before you could answer, and she all but sneered at him.
"My maids are not for common rife like you to sully," she spat, a look of disdain carved on her delicate features.
Yandere knight who was deployed to the battlefront soon after. He spent years in misery knowing it was that royal woman's meddling that had both sent him here and stopped him from knowing how you truly felt.
Yandere knight who carved through foe upon foe with the flash of his sword while thinking of you. He would wipe blood from his face and wonder what it would take to have you. He resolves to become so renowned that he could have you and the respect he deserved all those years ago anyways.
Yandere knight who comes back as the hero of the nation. A parade is thrown for him upon his return, and flowers are thrown at his feet by the masses of people. He is awarded a noble title, a duke (impressive), a territory of land to manage, and the blessing to have the hand of any eligible lady in the land from the king.
The implication was for him to go for the princess, sitting there in a gown befitting of an engagement party. She wasn't the heir to the throne, and having a young, impressionable Duke to have and father a potential crown prince or princess was certainly a draw for her to act so sweet and lovely despite her previous attitudes. He had to use all the will in his body to hide his disdainful glare towards her. Instead, he strode up with a near giddy grin, breezed past the waiting royal, and knelt before you.
"[Name], I shall have you as my wife," He says with a beaming smile. You try to protest, but he's already sweeping you into his arms. The king seems surprised by his choice, but as he stares between Yandere Knight, lovestruck and beaming, and you, squirming and utterly shocked, he realizes that he cannot simply go back on his word. The king waves his hand, and your fate is sealed.
Yandere knight feels bad for not giving you a proper wedding. In fact, he feels bad about not taking you to your new home before he's pulling up your skirts. He's a dog, he knows, but you're just so tempting now that you're all his. He shoving you down onto the plush upholstery of the carriage seats, and you let out a startled cry.
Yandere knight who cannot claim he's chivalrous. He wishes he could, but he loves the way your breasts look pushed up so tightly in the laced bodice of yours. He lets out a groan, petting your hair and shushing you as you whimper under his wandering touch. Button after button becomes undone.
"Love, you'll never wear such stifling clothing again. You hear me? All robes and lace from now on. None of this nonsense," He murmurs into your skin. He pulled your corset and chemise from your body, and he pressed fervent kisses to the crook of your neck. He grasps at your breasts, kneading them experimentally. He's had time to experience women on the battlefield. A fling or two in some field on the outskirts of a freshly liberated village. He would think of you the whole time and imagine what he was latching his lips around the stiff peak of your nipple while a random girl cried out underneath him. But this was real. Your warmth beneath his much heavier form was on of the most beautiful feeling he had ever had the pleasure of witnessing.
He parted your legs, and he could feel you shy away from him. He laughed. As if you had a choice. He knew you would love him eventually, but for now you can't blame him for how ravenous he was as he felt between your shaking, parted legs. He smirked as his lips met yours. His fingers slid against your folds, gathering slick arousal on his digits with a curious hum. He grinds his thumb against your clit as he slowly pushes his way into your warm, spongy walls.
"Oh? Is it good there? Or here? Where, love? You gotta use your words," He teases and licks the tears rolling down your cheeks, peppering your soft skin with kisses. He feels you pulse and stretch around his hand, and he relishes the way your back arches when he curls his fingers just right against that sweet little spot. Desperate noises tumble out of you, and he smiles.
He pulls his fingers out, and you cry out at the sudden sensation. Your chest is heaving with small moans, and your pretty pussy is drooling onto the carriage cushions. He pushes your legs up to your chest for a better grip, and his shudders at the way your twitching feels against the head of his cock.
Yandere knight knows that, as he thrusts into you, he's going to enjoy the luxury of finally having you both under his body and under his control.

He was a knight of light… until you turned his world dark.
Tumblr media
❤︎ Synopsis. A once-divine knight, consumed by obsession, will stop at nothing to claim the heartless thief he can’t save—and the darkness in him grows with every rejection. In a world of blood and betrayal, love is the most terrifying curse.
♡ Book. Whispers in the Dark (WITD): Subtle Devotion, Lingering Shadows.
♡ Pairing. Yandere! Isekai! Knight x Fem. Reader
♡ Headcanon. Light’s Last Lament - Part 1
♡ Word Count. 1,800
♡ TW. dom + top + older + sadistic + yandere, general non-con + manipulation, rape, BDSM, religious themes, corruption
♡ His Story. In his eyes, your defiance isn’t strength—it’s foreplay.
Tumblr media
♡ Yandere! Isekai! Knight who was a paragon of light and virtue when he first woke up in this strange, fantastical world. His armor gleamed like divine fire, his sword blessed by gods he didn’t know, his soul burning with righteous purpose.
You were the antithesis of everything he believed in—a wraith in the shadows, hands stained with theft and betrayal. A creature so small, so fragile-looking, he almost pitied you. Almost.
♡ Yandere! Isekai! Knight who met you after slaughtering a horde of corrupted beasts. You emerged from the carnage like a phantom, scavenging valuables from the corpses with meticulous efficiency.
Blood and filth covered you, yet your hands moved with the elegance of a jeweler. “You’re desecrating their bodies,” he said, his voice firm with disapproval. You didn’t even glance at him.
“And you’re desecrating my patience. Move.”
♡ Yandere! Isekai! Knight who couldn’t understand you, this cold, unfeeling shadow that slipped through the cracks of his world.
You were everything he was supposed to despise—selfish, ruthless, and utterly indifferent to the suffering of others.
But you fascinated him. You were the single thing in this unfamiliar world that didn’t bow to his light.
♡ Yandere! Isekai! Knight who tried to "save" you, convinced that underneath your icy exterior was a soul begging to be redeemed.
He followed you through ruins and wastelands, offering his aid even when you sneered at him. “Why do you care?” you spat once, after he shielded you from a falling blade trap.
His smile was gentle, but his eyes burned. “Because you need someone to care.” You laughed, sharp and humorless, as though his words were the punchline to a cruel joke.
♡ Yandere! Isekai! Knight who began to unravel the more time he spent chasing you. At first, it was small—a hesitation before a kill, a flicker of anger when you mocked his ideals.
But then came the dreams, feverish and relentless, of your cold hands brushing his skin, your cutting voice murmuring his name like a curse.
The gods called it temptation. He called it love.
♡ Yandere! Isekai! Knight who grew darker with every rejection.
“You’re wasting your time,” you said, cleaning blood from a stolen dagger as though the conversation bored you.
“I don’t need you. I don’t want you.” His jaw tightened, his fists clenched, but he didn’t argue.
Instead, he watched you with a quiet intensity that made your skin crawl, as though memorizing every inch of you for the day you would belong to him.
♡ Yandere! Isekai! Knight who started to blur the line between justice and obsession.
He told himself he was protecting you when he cut down the bandits you were bargaining with. He told himself it was mercy when he destroyed the treasure you coveted most, just to see your mask crack for the first time.
“You bastard,” you hissed, your voice trembling with rage.
His lips quirked into a sad smile. “It’s for your own good.”
♡ Yandere! Isekai! Knight who began to twist under your influence, his once-holy purpose eroding into something unrecognizable. The light in his eyes dimmed, replaced by a ravenous hunger that only grew the more you pushed him away.
You noticed the change too late—how his armor, once pristine, now gleamed with the blood of innocents. How his prayers grew quieter as his gaze darkened. How his love for you, so pure and selfless at first, had curdled into something monstrous.
♡ Yandere! Isekai! Knight who finally snapped after a deadly argument in the depths of a cursed labyrinth.
“You don’t even know how to feel,” you spat, shoving him away after he killed a creature you’d intended to tame. “You’re just a puppet of your gods, blindly following orders like a fool.” His expression, once soft and pleading, twisted into something cold and terrifying.
“And you’re nothing but a heartless thief who wouldn’t know loyalty if it stabbed you in the back,” he growled.
Before you could reply, he grabbed your wrist, his grip bruising. “You’re mine, little mouse. Whether you want to be or not.”
♡ Yandere! Isekai! Knight who let his darkness consume him for your sake. The holy knight who once preached kindness now stood atop a mountain of corpses, his blade slick with gore, all to carve a path to you.
“I’ve sacrificed everything for you,” he said one night, his voice trembling with a mixture of rage and desperation. “My honor, my faith, my soul. And you still look at me like I’m nothing.” You didn’t reply, but the flicker of fear in your eyes was all he needed.
♡ Yandere! Isekai! Knight who finally realized that he didn’t want to save you—he wanted to break you. To drag you down into the darkness with him, where you couldn’t escape. Where you couldn’t deny him.
“You’ll love me eventually,” he whispered one night, as you lay bound in the ruins of your latest heist. His lips brushed your ear, sending a shiver down your spine. “And even if you don’t, I’ll make sure no one else ever has you.”
♡ Yandere! Isekai! Knight who finally snaps when your defiance pushes him past the edge of reason. He drags you into the cold, unlit depths of his fortress, where the walls are damp, the air suffocating, and no one can hear your screams. His towering frame casts shadows that seem to devour you whole, and the sound of the door locking echoes like the toll of a bell.
“You’ve pushed me far enough, little mouse,” he growls, his voice low and dangerous. “Now, you’ll learn what happens when you deny me.”
♡ Yandere! Isekai! Knight whose massive hands bind your wrists in iron shackles, your delicate frame trembling as he steps closer. He doesn’t bother hiding the hunger in his eyes anymore—those darkened embers that burn with possession and rage.
“You’ve been such a cruel little thing,” he murmurs, his fingers trailing down your throat with a gentleness that contrasts the brutal grip on your waist.
“Do you think I’ll let you get away with it? That I’ll keep begging for scraps of your attention?”
♡ Yandere! Isekai! Knight who revels in the power imbalance as he looms over you, his body dwarfing yours in every way. He tears at your clothes with ease, shredding them as if they were nothing more than cobwebs.
“Look at you,” he sneers, his tone dripping with dark amusement. “So small. So fragile. Do you even realize how easy it would be for me to break you?”
♡ Yandere! Isekai! Knight whose touch is equal parts punishing and worshipful as he forces you to your knees. His hands grip your hair, yanking your head back so you’re forced to meet his gaze.
“You’ve made me into this,” he says, his voice trembling with barely restrained fury. “A monster. A man who dreams of ruining you every night. And now, I’ll show you just how far you’ve fallen with me.”
♡ Yandere! Isekai! Knight who makes you feel every inch of his strength as he takes you, his movements rough and unrelenting. The sound of your cries only spurs him on, his gritted teeth pulling into a feral grin.
“Scream all you want,” he growls, his hand pressing against the small of your back to force you down. “No one will hear you. No one but me.”
♡ Yandere! Isekai! Knight who marks you with bites and bruises, the sharp sting of his teeth drawing blood that he licks away with a dark reverence.
“You look better like this,” he murmurs, his voice husky and thick with lust. “Covered in me. Marked by me. No one else will ever touch you now. No one else will dare.”
♡ Yandere! Isekai! Knight who delights in your struggles, the way your smaller hands push against his broad chest to no avail. He pins you down with a single hand, his other tracing the red lines his gauntlets left on your skin.
“Keep fighting,” he whispers, his breath hot against your ear. “It only makes this more satisfying.”
♡ Yandere! Isekai! Knight whose size becomes its own form of punishment, stretching you past your limits until tears streak your cheeks.
“You can take it,” he murmurs darkly, his lips brushing the shell of your ear. “You’re mine. Your body knows it, even if your heart doesn’t.” His hips slam against yours, each thrust claiming you more thoroughly than the last.
♡ Yandere! Isekai! Knight who makes you beg, even as you curse him. He slows his pace just enough to drive you mad, his hands gripping your hips with bruising force.
“Say it,” he demands, his voice a low growl. “Say you belong to me.”
When you spit a defiant “never,” his laugh is cruel and guttural. “Then I’ll just have to fuck the words out of you, won’t I?”
♡ Yandere! Isekai! Knight who doesn’t stop until you’re trembling, broken beneath him, your body a canvas of his desire. His hands trace over your battered skin with a gentleness that contrasts the brutal passion of his actions.
“You’ll learn to love me,” he whispers, his lips pressing against your forehead like a twisted promise. “Even if I have to tear you apart to make it happen.”
♡ Yandere! Isekai! Knight who stares down at your exhausted form with dark satisfaction, the sight of your bruised and bloodied body feeding his insatiable hunger.
“You look beautiful like this,” he murmurs, his voice soft but dripping with possessiveness. “Ruined. Tamed. Completely mine.”
♡ Yandere! Isekai! Knight who, in the end, no longer cared whether you loved him or not. Your coldness only made his desire burn hotter, his need to possess you more consuming.
You were his treasure, his obsession, his little mouse. And no amount of hatred or defiance would change that.

Yandere!Knight Elf x Princess!Reader
Bunni’s Monstertober
Oct 15th

Oct 16
summary: your knight is having scandalous thoughts about you…
warnings: dirty thoughts, nudity
Tumblr media
Devoted.
It’s what every knight was, devoted to those they protected, devoting their bodies, hearts, and souls to the royal family and their safety.
But for your knight… it was more than that.
He had spent years wandering the earth, despising human kind for the slaughter of his brethren. To him, humans were selfish and cruel creatures that cared not for nature or other beings, only for their own personal gain.
That was… until he met you.
He had been starving to death, an intentional choice on his behalf. The world had rejected him, taken away all of his loved ones and left him to be all alone, with no one to share his long life with.
When a carriage passed by the tree he leaned against, the place he had picked for his final rest, he hadn’t been expecting a woman to jump out and run in his direction, lifting his chin and pouring cool water down his parched, dry throat.
“Gods, you’re skin and bones. Are you alright..? No, of course you aren’t…”
Within moments, you were flanked by several men in armor, men he would later come to know as royal knights.
“Princess, please return to the carriage. It is not wise to interact with… beings such as himself.”
You shot the knight a look and he quickly backed down. “If I were to ignore a dying man when I am able to help, who am I to call myself a princess of the people?”
The elf attempted to pull his head away, but was both too weak… and too mesmerized by your beauty to do anything but let you feed and nurture him as he was taken back to the palace.
Over the next few days, he was taken care of thoroughly by the palace staff, his every need tended to.
He found out by listening in to the maids outside his room that you had ordered all of the palace to take care of him as if he were royalty himself.
You quickly scolded anyone that dared to even play with idea of discriminating against him due to him being an elf. It was… refreshing, and he felt strange hearing a human speak of him as if he were a person.
As he recovered, you visited him as much as your duties allowed, chatting with him and making sure he was being treated well.
He felt strange when he started looking forward to your visits, even wanting to recover faster so he could stay by your side at all times.
And he was able to achieve his dream by moving up the ranks as a knight, eventually becoming your personal guard. It wasn’t easy, the training was grueling and he was mistreated for being an elf…
But a year later he kneeled before you as your personal knight. He put the work on and climbed the ranks… all for you.
It didn’t take long for him to gain your trust. After all, you were a kind and fair princess. You didn’t judge him for being an elf, something he had never experienced before. He was your knight, and you believed in his strength.
And when he took over protecting you, he started to get a bit… greedy.
He didn’t like that other people got to see and touch you. They were filthy humans who only wanted to use and abuse you.
Even the maids helping you dress and bathe would coo soft compliments, saying how they adored their princess and wanted nothing more than to see you happy.
But he heard what they’d say in the hallways. He would hear their hateful words and gossip. They hated you for being royal, for having a better life than them,
They didn’t know you like he did.
Slowly, he began gathering evidence against each maid and butler, every single body guard and knight that attended you was either fired or executed.
No one should be able to be so close to you… no one but him.
It was late one night when he first saw your bare body. You were bathing, him standing by the door, facing it to guard you.
Having been pampered your entire life, you didn’t exactly know how to properly bathe yourself. Now that all your maids had been fired, you didn’t know what to do with yourself.
“C-could you… help me?”
The tips of his elf ears turned pink when he turned to see you leaning against the edge of the tub, your soft breast squished by the cool surface.
The mere sight of your plump form bare in front of him was enough to have his cock straining against his pants.
“Of course, my princess…”
He sat down on the edge of the bath, slowly easing the shampoo into your hair. After that was your body, and he steeled himself before moving forward.
Moving the washcloth against your soft flesh felt almost sinful. You were his princess, and yet he was touching forbidden territory. Although he tried his best to avert his eyes, he ended up catching sight of your pretty, fat pussy.
It looked so soft, and he could almost picture how cute you’d look all stretched out on his cock. How you’d moan for him to be gentle, burying your face into his neck.
He’d comply, giving you the tender lovemaking you deserved…
After your bath, he had to tuck you into bed before leaving the room to deal with his throbbing erection.
His princess… how he wanted to keep you pure and innocent… but his desires were overwhelming.
Perhaps he could use his elven beauty to woo you and take you away… after all, he could never have you while under that kingdom’s law.
Soon, you would be his…
Want more? My commissions are open, or you can send me a Kofi requesting more!

Damsel Yan: My hero! You saved me! How may I reward for your bravery?
Knight Reader: I desire what anyone else in my position would long for - your safe return back to the kingdom, my lady-
Damsel Yan: Is that all? I am willing to repay your deeds in whatever way you see fit. Perhaps...a night of passion with your princess? It is a luxury few experience in their lifetime.
Knight Reader: Well... there is one thing I'd like from you
Damsel Yan: Yes?
Knight Reader, removing their helmet: If it wouldn't offend you, may I.... rest my head on your lap? You see, the journey from the kingdom was quite taxing on my body and the fabric of your dress reminds me of a blanket I had when I was small. I understand if it is too much trouble.
-
Damsel Yan, cradling a sleeping Knight Reader in their arms - gazing at the bloodstains on the wall hidden by the shadows of their room: Of all the knights who've came to me.... You win this round, little hero- But someday you will be mine.

Yandere dragon~ Who was quite impressed with your skills but easily wore you out and was about to burn you to a crisp when suddenly your helmet fell off.
Yandere dragon~ Who is temporarily stunned by you. You were astonishing the most beautiful treasure he's ever come across.
Yandere dragon~ Who watches you ride away on your stead while he's distracted to safety his deep amber eyes lingering on your form.
Yandere dragon~ Who flies to your kingdom and makes s deal with the king, the princess in return you.
Yandere dragon~ Who grins at how the king immediate agreed and the villagers quickly give you to him and have you tied up so pretty like a gift on Christmas morning.
Yandere dragon~ Who shows you his human form in order to scare you a little less and in hopes it'll be easier for you to take him as your mate since he knows how captivating he is in that form.

Queen of hearts reader x yan card knights
Tumblr media Tumblr media
As the next in line for the throne its most important you raise yourself with dignity, elegance and wit. You could not afford to fail or show any weakness. If you did, it could mean your downfall.
So you grew up with this heavy burden; classes in dozens of subject going from dawn to dusk, fearing you might get assassinated, polishing your appearance to absolute perfection.
When it was finally your turn to take over the crown, you were nervous. Despite having trained hard for this moment ever since you were born, you still feared for the future. Would you really be able to lead with the same strength as those before you? Or would you do a terrible job and doom the kingdom? Those were both equally possible options.
Luckily, you did have trustworthy friends by your side who’d lay down their lives in order to protect you.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Lucius Stormheart was your childhood friend. He’d been with you for as long as you could remember. He was the son of the captain of the royal guard, whom have been a friend of your father for a very long time. Perhaps that is one of the reasons the two of you were introduced. You were around seven and nine at the time. You still remember how he refused to meet your gaze and bowed deeply whilst telling you what an honour it was to meet you.
He was a bit stiff for his age, you believed it was because of the legacy and role he’d have to eventually take over; although you were hardly one to talk. If you had any other friends they’d probably also think you’re strange and not at all fun.
Lucius and you never really played traditional children’s games. It was already decided he would become a knight, so he became your guard. Of course, there was no real danger since you stayed within the palace but he took his duty seriously; constantly following you in silence and staying vigilant of anything that moved. Usually, you would have tea in the garden and he would just stand watch. You beckoned him to sit down and enjoy himself, offering him sweets and other delicacies, but he only shook his head. It went on like that for years. You grew tired of him hardly uttering a single word to you. He was supposed to be your friend but wouldn’t even engage in simple conversation. He truly was too stiff for his young age.
You recalled one day, you were almost an adult then, when you wanted to tease him a bit. You pretended to have lost your gold bracelet somewhere in the grass and cried for him to find it. The moment he bent down in the grass to scour for he (not) lost jewelry, you took off as quick as your legs were able. Lucius immediately reacted and shouted for you to come back, but you had gotten a head start.
You laughed as you felt the freedom you’d never had. It wasn’t long until you ditched your fine shoes and ran barefoot. The wind in your hair and ground under your feet felt great. Lucius’ voice wasn’t far behind you. Tiredness overcame you and you threw yourself down among the green and the flowers. You closed your eyes.
Not soon after you heard heavy footsteps and deep breaths. You looked up to see your childhood friend-made-guard loom over you with a furious expression. How could you just run off like that? Do you understand how dangerous it is for someone in your position? You could be attacked!
You ignored his scolding and rolled around, inspecting the flowers instead.
“Are you even listening to a word I say? Of course not.” He huffed. “You can’t run away from me. Ever. If you do, I might not be able to protect you. Imagine that someone had managed to sneak into the palace ground and was waiting for an opportunity to assassinate you, this would be the perfect moment to do so. Honestly, have you no sense of danger? I’d think someone with your background would posses more caution-“
You drowned out his speech. You were staring blankly at him, an idea came to you, you wanted to tease him further. Besides, this was something you’ve wanted yourself for some time. You rolled your eyes with a smile and sat up.
“- and then it would not only affect you but also-“
“Lucius.” You said gently.
He quieted down. It was evident he was not yet done and seethed in silence, after all, you were a princess whilst he was nothing but a commoner. A commoner inheriting an important role and being more privileged than other commoners was still a commoner nonetheless.
“Can you come closer?”
The young guard frowned but did as told. He knelt beside you and awaited your next words. What he did not expect was for you to caress his cheeks and quickly pull him in for a kiss. Lucius’ mind went completely blank. At first, there was nothing, no air, no light, no sound. Then after a couple second came everything, the warmth of the sunny afternoon, the sound of birds twittering on branches and the feeling of your lips against his. They moved with a gentle passion, your tongue licking his lips, asking permission to enter. He complied. It was sweet and warm, completely different from the early mornings and harsh trainings he goes through everyday.
It wasn’t until after you pulled away and smiled at him that Lucius remembered how to breathe. He stood up like someone had burned him- which someone had to a certain degree- and backed away.
Stuttering, he gasped, “P-Princess? What..w-why would you?-“
You laughed at his embarrassment, feeling a bit sorry for him. He was completely red in the face, matching the uniform he wore.
“My apologies, I couldn’t help it. I wanted to tease you one last time.”
Oh. So that was it? Yes, of course you only wanted to have some fun. It’s not like you get to do anything else out of pleasure in your life. You used him for amusement.
“…..Yes, Princess. It’s alright, but you should not do something like this again. You need to refrain from having relations with men that are not your husband- especially not commoners.”
That was the end of it, you thought. You apologised a couple more times before forgetting about the experience. Lucius said it was fine so there was nothing more to it, right? Unfortunately you had no idea of the massive crisis you’d started within Lucius.
You kissed him. Him of all people. Lucius would not believe it if he hadn’t experienced it firsthand. He wondered if all those years of him loving you in secret had been in vain. Did you know? No, obviously you didn’t. It’s just like you said, it was for amusement. You wanted to tease him like when you suddenly took off. It was only fun.
Nothing more like that happened afterwards. The kiss was long since buried along with other memories. That was the case for you. But not for Lucius. He didn’t forget.
About a year before you were crowned queen, Lucius took over his fathers position and became the new captain of the royal guard. You both had become so busy-him with his new job and you with preparing for your coronation- that you hardly saw each other. If you were lucky, you saw him training outside with the new recruits or wandering the hallways. You sent a mere nod of acknowledgement to the other person, no words were exchanged. If you had the time you would’ve mourned the death of the little friendship you had.
You believed you would be no more than strangers with no past and no future. However, you were surprised when your father had called you into his office and there, in all his glory, stood your childhood friend Lucius. His hair reached just above his ears and he wore the same stern expression he always had. The red in his armour seemed glowing, it reminded you of blood.
Your father then revealed the news of Lucius officially becoming your personal knight. When the two of you were young he constantly guarded you but it was more of an assumed responsibility. He was not actually in charge of your protection.
Lucius had done well in his new position and your father wanted to grant him a wish in return. The young man had proceeded to tell him there was nothing more he wanted than to serve his kingdom by protecting its future monarch. This wish was so noble it was granted without further questions, so long he could manage his other duties as well. It made sense, as the captain of the royal guard, whom else was more qualified to protect you?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
You first met Sebastian Spade when you were visiting another kingdom as a preteen. The adults had their meetings and swatted you away. They ushered you to go explore the castle whilst they took care of the things that mattered. You decided to go outside since you weren’t too sure about snooping around in all the rooms, there was always a chance you’d find something you shouldn’t and your parents had previously urged you not to run into trouble.
The outside was also beautiful with colourful flowers and carefully trimmed bushes. You wandered, taking in the wonderful scenery. Along the way, the flowers disappeared and you found yourself at the training grounds. At the centre stood a boy your age holding a sword. He lunged at the training dummy positioned in front of him. Unfortunately, he lost his footing and flew forward. The sword landed on the ground with a loud clatter and the boy let out an ‘omfph!’.
You rushed to side and asked him if he was alright, which he was; just embarrassed. He told you his name was Sebastian and that he was aiming to be a knight. He managed to become an apprentice of a knight at the castle. It was one of his training sessions that you stumbled upon. Being a knight had always been his dream. Apparently his father and grandfather had been one, so it was in the blood. Or, it would have been if Sebastian hadn’t been so bad at everything. Truth was he wasn’t actually allowed to use a real sword, only wooden once. But he took one anyway. He thought that maybe he could improve faster if he got used to wielding one out of metal. Well, you got a first row view of how that went.
He felt so worthless. Why couldn’t he ever do something right? Why was he such a failure? No matter how hard he trained, he was barely able to hold the sword straight. Maybe he should give up being a knight altogether, it was hopeless after all. No one said anything, but he noticed the way everyone looked at him. They all thought the same thing, ‘why is he even here?’. How could he blame them? Even his own mentor didn’t believe in him.
You frowned, feeling terrible in how this boy had lost faith in all his dreams. Now you knew nothing of knighthood but you had a friend who did. You wished he could’ve come with but he needed to keep up with his training and besides, you were in yer another royal castle so the chances of anything happening to you was very low. So you decided to give Sebastian some tips; simple things you’ve picked up when watching your friend home his skills. Sebastian listened eagerly, desperate to improve. If there was any way he could become better than he wanted to hear it. That boy hung off every word that came out of your mouth. You did however assert that you were not an expert by any means and these where just things others have told you or what you’ve learned from observation. That didn’t matter though. Thanks to you he understood how to correct his stance and made it possible to hold up the sword- the issue he was struggling with earlier was solved!
During the entirety of the week you and your family were staying, you hung out with Sebastian every day. Every moment you didn’t have to be present out of curtsy you spent with him instead, which was much more pleasurable.
Sebastian was more than happy to have your company. Truth be told, he didn’t have any friends, good acquaintances maybe, but no one he’d be able to call a friend. He was also quite shy. It was to nice to finally have someone who believed in him, who encouraged and was patient with him.
At the end of the week, he had improved so much. It was hard to think he’s the same boy who could hardly even lift a sword. Sebastian was no master, far from it, but it was undeniable that he had become a lot better. Now he only had to hone his skills and he could fulfill his dreams when he became an adult.
The attitude against him changed as well. Before, the other students refused to interact with him unless they were forced to and they along with the knights made fun of him when they thought he couldn’t hear. Now, however, they approached him and wondered how he’d managed to improve so quickly and if he could lend some tips. Obviously he didn’t. They don’t deserve his kindness. Not after how they treated him. Sure, they never outright bullied him by shoving him around or anything but they might’ve as well.
Sebastian ran through the garden. He shouldn’t have since there’s definitely be a scolding coming his way if an adult saw, but he didn’t care. He needed to find you. He had to tell you about the praise he received form his teaching-knight after the day’s training. Before you met he never would have reached a compliment, it was a sign of the good fortune you brought.
His cheeks glowed red at the thought. You were so kind to him. He thought all royals were snobbish assholes who only cares about themself and their looks, now he knew he was wrong. You weren’t like that at all. You smiled, played with him and didn’t care if your dress got dirty. Of course, you preferred if it didn’t but you wouldn’t mind a scolding from your parents for once.
You were beautiful too. Almost too beautiful in his opinion. You were sure to attract a lot of suitors when you grew up. Sebastian’s heart stung. It was a strongly unpleasant feeling; imagining you beside someone else. Sebastian was young but not stupid, he understood what he was feeling. He shouldn’t be jealous, he knew that at the end of the day you were a princess and he was not even close to being a prince, and only a prince could marry you. Realistically he didn’t stand a chance. Unfortunately, his heart didn’t listen to his brain and he couldn’t stop the blossoming affection he felt for you.
“(Y/n)” he yelled when he saw you coming his way. You wore a nice dress that complimented your appearance. His heart thumped uncomfortably within his chest.
“Sebastian, I was just coming to see you.”
The boy scratched his neck. “Well, here I am!”
You laughed at his positive nature. Then your smile fell once you remembered the intent of your visit. “I actually came to see you..for a last time.”
“What?” Sebastian froze. Did he mishear you? No, your words were loud and clear so that meant… “You’re leaving?”
You sighed and nodded, “yes, my family has done the business they came for and we are to return home.”
“When?”
“This evening.”
You hated seeing him hurt. You wished you didn’t have to leave but you had no choice. This was always going to happen, this was not your home. You just weren’t prepared to make a great friend whom you could miss dearly back home.
“Oh. Okay...” Sebastian said in a low voice. His chipper mood was entirely destroyed in a minute.
That evening your belongings were loaded into a grand carriage. You took a seat on the soft cushions inside and scanned the outside form the window. Your parents were in a different carriage so you didn’t have to explain to them why you were staring outside so intensely.
You felt the carriage begin to move. You were really going home. Well, it’s not like you weren’t going to go home in the first place. This was always the plan. No matter how thoroughly you searched there was no sign of your friend. You sighed with a heavy heart. Not being able to see him hurt you too but you at least wanted to say goodbye.
And so you were moving in the direction known as home. Whilst you were thinking about the young knight-in-training, you saw a shadow at the edge of the forest. You leaned towards the window to get a better look and there he was, your friend! So he did want to say goodbye after all, although not in the most conventional way.
Sebastian’s breath was heavy and tired. He’d ran along the toad through the forest. He could feel the smal scrapes he’d gotten from branches(and the one time he fell over a root). It stung a little, however it was no comparison to how he felt inside. He gained and lost his best-and first- friend in the span of a week. And to be honest, you were a bit more than that to him.
He stared longingly at the carriage you were sitting in. He found himself hoping it would break down and you’d have to turn back around, which did not happen since the royal family’s belongings were only of the finest materials and craftsmen ship. Sebastian could only watch as you went further and further away, until you were nothing more than a dor in the horizon. Finally, he waved weakly. Though he was too late for you to be able to see it.
That evening he made a promise. Sebastian vowed to become stronger- better than any knight in the kingdom. Then and only then would he be honourable enough to flee to your kingdom and serve you there. It might take a very long time. But it was completely worth it if it was you.
You’ll see, he will be your knight one day.

OMG THE DAMIAN X CATGIRL ONE WAS SO GOOD I NEED CATWOMAN TO ADOPT A WHOLE LITTER. Soooo imagine AK Jason Todd with a catwoman of his own? Having fun until Jason got stuck and torture at the asylum, only to come back to find that Catwoman have Tim as the new Robin? 🥺.
Because seeing this it just fuels he's hate towards the new Robin for 𝙬𝙝𝙞𝙨𝙠𝙚𝙧𝙞𝙣𝙜 HIS catwoman away. Pain to Batman, pain to the new Robin, and now he's bringing it to HER. Hey would she recognize him with the the helmet on? Who knows? 🤷‍♂️
This is an idea I want to write, love u wishes ❤️
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
NO CAUSE I'VE BEEN SO OBSESSED WITH THIS IDEA!!!!!! It is literally everything!! Poor Jason can't catch a break not only has Batman, his mentor, his father, replaced him! But you! The only girl he's ever loved, someone he's been connected to on such a spiritual level since taking up his mantle. Even you have forgotten him, even you have forsaken him! Oh yeah, definitely pain to reader 😠😠
Tumblr media
I want you to be measurable too...
=ᗢ==ᗢ==ᗢ==ᗢ==ᗢ==ᗢ==ᗢ==ᗢ==ᗢ==ᗢ
He'd spent the better days of his boyhood, hanging by the thin metallic thread of a grappling hook. Swinging, feet first from rooftop to rooftop. Muscles taut, body coiled around the rope like a snake around a baobab tree.
He'd read The Little Prince last night, that's how he learned of such marvelous grandiose arbors. Trees that breach the mind, that grow tall enough to shadow Wayne Tower. We wonders if Bruce will take him to Africa one day, he wonders if his mentor will show him the baobab trees. If they'll feel cool and brambly under his palm.
Jason lands on the Museum's roof. Prying through the skylight watching as you kneel by your mentor, your mother. Greedily shoving colorful diamonds into fabric bags. Even in the dark, he's half mesmerized by the fluid motion of your body, the way your muscles flex so smoothly. His breath hitches in his throat too engrossed in the moment.
It's not the baobab trees that Jason thinks of when he sees you.
Instead, it's a rose. Not roses, plural, rose singular. As the rose the little prince had. The thing he cherished more than his own life. The thing he'd die for over and over again.
He hears Bruce land behind him. The moment gone evaporating like morning dew upon red petals. He straightens, ready, he has a job to do, a father to impress.
And maybe that book, that dreadful, wonderful book had been his first taste of bitter love. Through the pages and the words spoken between Prince and Rose, little Jason Todd had savored his first dose of obsession.
You kick him in the shoulder, sending him flying to the skyscraper edge. Jason swings himself up just as you are near to inspect your prey. His knees cage your hips and he uses all his force to push you down.
The stars blink overhead, paparazzi cameras catching a private moment between two masked kids. "Hello, Robin" you purr clawed gloves idly tracing his arm. Jason tries to smile to smirk, to flirt back."H-hello Ki-tty". But the blood rushing to his face has him stunned he can't breathe. Why do you look so pretty like this? Laying on your back staring up at him with big perfect eyes. You tilt your head and meow.
"Hey, that's Miss Kitty to you"...
He likes this new side of you, likes the mace you wield like a whip. It looks like yarn, soft and delicate.
The punchline lands at the same time as the flanged head crashes to his ribs. He thinks they shattered, cartilages cracking, freeing the marrow from within.
So this is what love feels like. Pain that rages from the inside sharp shards piercing soft organ tissue. So painful it tickles and you can feel the blood pooling in your mouth along with all the words you long to say.
No wonder the little prince kept going back to the rose. No wonder he found euphoria in the prick of her thorns.
He struggles to his feet and jumps, as high as he can. His side bruns begging him to stay down. Be he can't, he won't, Bruce wouldn't, and Alfred will find a way to piece him back together. So he takes flight flipping through the air, out of your sight.
For a moment you're stunned lackadaisically twirling your mace like a ballerina's ribbon wand. And even though he's mid attack Jason can't help admiring how ethereal you look, like a lion cub out on her first hunt.
Jason's knees land on your shoulder blades, his weight making you fall on your stomach with a pained scream. Your mace rolls away, thank God, that could have gotten too messy he thinks. Jason tugs hard on your cat ears, pulling back your head and exposing your neck to point a Batarang at your throat. "Here, kitty, kitty" he mocks, playful cadence laced with derision. You hiss out in pain as he brings his head closer. He looks so handsome upside down, like the pretty birds that sing on the balcony.
It's a split second, you raise your head, and the Batarang's wing punctures your collarbone. Your lips push on his, hollow but sweet. You feel his body go ridge his hold on his weapon lost. Still, you persist not breaking your first kiss...
You guess it's his too, you hope it is. Only when you feel his lips push back do you force him off with all your might. Grabbing your mace and jumping to the next rooftop. What is this excitement, so raw, so frantic?
You don't stop running until you make it home.
You don't look back, scared he'll see the bright pink dusting your cheeks.
You open the window and silently slip in.
Only to see Selina waiting in the dark.
Arms crossed and eyebrow raised.
He's baptized by blood and iron.
Broken down bone by bone.
Left to bleed out in the dark on the dirty asylum floor.
Still, he holds your name under his tongue, caged between his teeth.
His little kitten.
Sometimes he pretends you're lying next to him, gazing into his eyes as you too bleed out. Sometimes he laughs at your sarcastic quips at the dreaded clown. No dread is too light a word you'd correct. He finds you more attractive when you spill graphic profanities.
But you're not here, not really. And he can't quite tell if he's happy or not. His hand always reaches out to you. Desperate to feel your warmth, just once more...
And yet he's always met with air.
Always met by the stickiness of his own blood pooling beneath him.
He watches you from afar. Haunting the night, camouflaged amongst the shodws. The still Gotham night feels like a homecoming. A bittersweet reunion with a world that's both abandoned and forgotten him.
The arkham night swallows thickly, from behind his digilitized mask he zooms in on two figures in the distance. Swinging on metal threads, bodies coiled like snakes, latching on. One loses muscle one wrong move and they plummet to their death.
But the figures don't seem scared. You don't seem scared as you laugh at the boy wearing his clothes. No not his clothes, he's made sure to burn them all so very long ago. Instead, the boy wears red and black and yellow, he wears his symbol. But the garments are looser, not carved but built, foreign things covering a boy's body. Not armored built from years of endurance.
Still, you don't seem to mind, you scratch at him playfully as if he were a mouse on a string. You hiss and meow as he laughs and spools sanctimonious gibberish that sounds all so very Bat in nature.
Who else have you been sneaking off with? Jason makes a note to keep a better eye on you.
Jason's ironclad fists meet with Bruce's masked face.
Again and Again. He points his gun beneath his old mentor's ribs and shoots. Feel me he scream inside himself. Feel my pain. From the shadows, something pounces. Familiar nails try to dig into his chest, bypass the iron armor, and impale him.
It doesn't take much force to tug her off of him. He smashes her into the cement. Catwoman lets out an all-so-familiar meowl of pain. His boot meets with her flesh, her bones. Grinding them into the pavement, he can't tell why he wants to hurt her. Does he blame her for your disloyalty, does he want to hurt Bruce? The thoughts grow heavy as his ears buzz with rage. When he finally leaves he tosses a glare behind his shoulder watching the bat crawling toward the cat.
"Don't worry about your Kitten, I'll take better care of her than you ever could." His modulated inhuman voice promises...
It's been all so long since he's thought of roses and baobab tress, so long since he's pretended to be a prince returning to his scared beloved rose. Jason- no the Arkham Knight- corners you on a rooftop as you frantically try to reach your mentor. He watches as you twirl your mace, ready to fight. They're so much hatred behind your eyes, do you really not see him?
Your mace's head swings at his ribs, good to see some things never change, he counters the attack seizing the weapon with one hand. You try to pull it back to bring him to you. Instead, Jason pulls back and you're sent hurling into the thick metal of his chest. Your head spins as you glare up at him. His fingers wrap around your neck squeezing.
squeezing
squeezing
He'll find the new bird later. Crush his skull before your eyes. He'll make you suffer for leaving him. For turning your tretory.
At his base, in an interrogation room, the Arkham Knight slowly starts to peel away your sanity. Breaking your bones, your mind, your essence. Morphing you from the helpless little kitty into a bloodthirsty lioness. Whose only purpose is to be at his beck and call. You'll live for him, die for him. His perfect little pet. And once he knows he's broken your mind completely, the only thoughts swimming around that damaged thing are how to please your master. Then he'll unleash you on Gotham, watching as you tear into your mother's throat, ripping her apart with bare teeth and claws. Just like he will do to his father...
Then, and only then. When Gotham is his, he'll pull away the mask and let you see the man beneath the helm. He'll let you see the man who used to be Jason Todd.

— The Female Lead In a Yandere Harem Game
Tumblr media
The Imperial Chronicle
Issue 157 | Year of the Tiger, 12th Moon Cycle
SCANDAL IN THE PALACE: THE EMPEROR BRINGS DISGRACE WITH A CONCUBINE
The lady glanced over the scandalous news once more. Her lips curling into a wry smile. Despite the insult of her husband's betrayal, she maintained indifferent. She carried herself with dignity, as if the scandal is unworthy of her concern.
"So, you're the concubine he picked."
The empress's voice was smooth, almost sweet. As she lounged back in her seat. With deliberate ease, she pressed the heel of her jeweled slipper onto the concubine's shoulder. A mockery of affection that carried the weight of her disdain.
[Name] knelt frozen, her mind racing. How had it come to this? She had never sought the Emperor's attention, nor wished to be dragged into the chaos of court life. Yet here she was, the plaything of power, caught in a game she had no hand in starting.
The empress tilted her head, a cruel smile playing on her lips. "I suppose even a pawn can be amusing." She mused, pressing down slightly harder. [Name] remained silent, her shame swallowed by a quiet resignation. It wasn’t defiance. Only the hollow understanding that her fate had never truly been her own.
"Do you know why he took you as a concubine?" The empress drawled, her voice dripping with mockery. She leaned closer, her piercing gaze slicing through [Name]'s composure. "It wasn’t for your charm, your wit, or even your beauty. No, it was for me."
[Name]’s breath caught, her confusion plain. The empress’s lips curled into a cruel smile as she continued.
"He chose you because I instructed him to. A quiet girl from an unremarkable family. I have no taste for men. Their arrogance, their fumbling desires. I find it all... distasteful. Women, though," She said, her fingers lightly brushing [Name]’s cheek. "Women are art. And you, my dear, are here because I wanted you."
[Name]’s mind reeled. She hadn’t chosen this life, hadn’t asked for any of it. Now she realized she wasn’t even the Emperor’s plaything. She was the empress’s pawn.
The empress reached out, tracing a cold finger along [Name]’s jaw. "How does it feel, knowing your purpose was never yours to decide?" She whispered, her tone held cruelty and amusement. [Name] lowered her eyes, swallowing her bitterness. What could she say? This, too, was out of her hands.
"Prove your worth," the empress commanded, her voice low and smooth. Yet laced with a threat. She turned on her heel, not waiting for an answer. "To my bedchamber."
[Name] followed in silence, her footsteps heavy with resignation. The gilded doors closed behind them, sealing her fate yet again.
Later, the empress stepped out into the cool night. The air fragrant with blooming jasmine. She walked slowly through the palace gardens, her demeanor serene. Yet her mind sharp with satisfaction. The night was hers, her control absolute.
Meanwhile, [Name] lay on the silken sheets. Staring blankly at the ornate ceiling. Her thoughts spiraled into absurdity as she tried to make sense of her life.
She was the protagonist of a game. The female lead, ensnared in a world where everyone’s desires revolved around her. Pulling her into their obsessions.
She stared at her reflection in the polished bronze mirror. Searching for the girl she used to be. Instead, she saw the character they had cast her as. An object of obsession in a game she never chose to play.
[Name]’s mind wandered through the faces of those who seemed hopelessly drawn to her. Their obsessions suffocating and relentless. Each one brought with them a peculiar brand of madness that tightened the web around her.
The Emperor
Beneath his regal demeanor was a possessive man who saw [Name] as the perfect jewel in his collection. His love was stifling, expressed through gilded cages and lavish displays. He watched her every move, ordering his spies to report on her daily activities. If she so much as smiled at another man, that person would vanish. His existence erased by the Emperor’s silent wrath.
The Empress
Her obsession was colder, sharper, like the edge of a blade. The empress viewed [Name] as her personal possession. A treasure she refused to share. She would isolate her, ensuring no one else could bask in her light. The empress's punishments were subtle but devastating: restricting [Name]’s movements, destroying her friendships, and whispering poison into her ears to make her doubt herself.
The Knight
The palace knight. Stoic and loyal, was consumed by a feral devotion. He would cut down anyone he perceived as a threat, his blade swift and merciless. His obsession bordered on worship, and he viewed himself as her eternal protector. Yet his protection came at a cost, her freedom. He would lock her away if it meant keeping her safe, even if she begged for release.
The Wizard
The court wizard was a man of intellect. But his love for [Name] turned his brilliance into something terrifying. He would weave enchantments to bind her to him. Spells that made her dreams twist with his image. His obsession was suffocating. His love an experiment. If she resisted, he would create illusions to isolate her from reality, ensuring she saw no one but him.
The Maid
The sweet, doting maid hid a darkness behind her kind smile. She adored [Name] with a devotion that bordered on madness. She sabotaged any attempt [Name] made to grow close to others. Spilling secrets and spreading rumors. Her yandere tendencies were quiet but insidious: poisoned tea for rivals, missing letters, and stolen moments where she would cling to [Name] as if her life depended on it.
Each of them was a piece of a puzzle [Name] had never asked to solve. Their affections weren’t love. They were chains, binding her tighter with every gesture, every whispered promise, and every desperate act. She was the center of their twisted universe, and there was no escape.

[Part 1] [Part 2] [Part 3]
Tumblr media
“What’s your name?”
“What?” Lucca turns to the female voice beside him, perplexed at the question.
She should already know his name.
“I asked you what your name is,” the fifth daughter of Count Balcom repeats.
Lucca blinks again. Completely and utterly confused. “Why does it matter?” he asks.
“Well, since you’re in my care now, I think I should call you something other than ‘boy’ or ‘you’,” she says.
“You can call me ‘slave’ like everyone else does,” Lucca helpfully supplies.
Her face takes on an Are you crazy? look.
She doesn’t say anything else, clearly waiting for an answer to her earlier question. An answer she isn’t going to get. Lucca keeps his mouth shut, hoping the silence will get her to stop asking and leave. The quiet stretches out.
Finally, she jumps up from her perch on the stool beside his bed. “Fine! It’s obvious you aren’t going to tell me so I’m going to leave and you can keep your stupid name to yourself!”
Instead of feeling satisfied with getting what he wanted, he feels bothered that she’s leaving upset.
“Wait!” his hand grabs her wrist before she can completely leave.
She cocks an eyebrow, silently demanding he let her go.
“Lucca,” he whispers.
“What?” she asks.
“Lucca,” he repeats, a little louder.
She smiles and sits back down. “Thank you for telling me.”
Lucca inclines his head.
“Can I call you ‘Lucca’?”
He blinks at the question, then nods.
She grins. “Thank you, Lucca.”
◇◇◇
“Mommy?” a much smaller Lucca peaked around the door of his parent’s bedroom.
A graceful woman brought her fingers to her lips, a silent indication to be quiet as she left the bed and approached her youngest son.
“Come, sweetheart, let’s go downstairs before we wake up your father.” The mother picked her son up in her arms and headed to the kitchen on the first floor.
She sat him on a chair, knelt in front of him and grabbed his hands. “Is everything okay, love?”
Lucca sniffled. “I had a nightmare.”
“Oh, Lucca, honey.” She pulled him into her arms again in a comforting hug.
“I woke up alone in the dark and that scared me,” Lucca admitted quietly.
His mom pulled him in even closer and patted his back.
They stayed like that for a while. Nothing like a mother's love to chase away the demons of the night.
“Lucca, love.” She pulled away enough just to wipe away the little boy's tears. “Do you know why I picked ‘Lucca’ as your name?”
Lucca shook his head.
His mom smiled and caressed his cheeks. “‘Lucca’ means ‘bringer of light’. I picked this name at the time you were born because the first time I held you in my arms, the sun's rays burst through clouds, bathing you in its golden light.
“The name sounded fitting. But as you grew up from a tiny infant to a strong, healthy child, I realized that this is the perfect name for you. Everything you do, you do with the biggest smile on your face. Your smile is radiant, my love. Just like the light.”
Lucca watched his mom speak, hanging on to her every word. And when sleep gripped his young form again, he fell to its clutches with a happy smile on his face.
◇◇◇
“Hurry up, Beck, Lucca!” A young girl waved at Lucca and their older brother, beckoning them closer.
“We're coming!” Both boys looked at each other and grinned.
Beck smirked and started sprinting. “Last one to Hazel is a rotten egg!”
“Hey! Not fair!” Lucca took after his brother, trying to reach his older sister first.
Beck, with his head start, reached Hazel. Lucca shuffled in a little later, bending over. “That’s not fair! You should have counted down first!”
“Too bad.” Beck smugly shrugged.
Lucca squinted his eyes at the older boy. Beck is the oldest of three children. Then it's Hazel and Lucca.
Lucca grinned mischievously. “Uh-oh, I don’t like that lo–” Beck started but Lucca lunged at him.
“Whoa!” Beck managed to evade the lunge but Lucca started chasing him around the meadow.
“Boys! That's enough! The picnic is all set up!” their mother called for them.
She sighed, a smile playing on her lips as her boys overlooked her call.
Her husband, the boys' father, laughed. “I'll go get them. Why don't you get Hazel started?”
Hazel reached the sheet and plopped down. Their mother smiled at her family’s antics and settled down beside Hazel.
“Dad! Let us down!” The boys struggled in their father's hold playfully as he neared the picnic. He set them on the sheet and sat next to them.
The family had fun out together all day.
◇◇◇
“Are you sure, Hazel?” Lucca asked.
“Yes, Dad gave me my allowance to use didn't he?” Hazel nodded.
“True. But we aren't supposed to go to the market alone,” Lucca hesitated.
“It'll be fine. We’re old enough aren’t we?” Hazel assured him. “And”–she wiggled her eyebrows–“Mom, Dad and Beck are gonna get home late. If we beat them, how are they gonna know?”
She grabbed his hand and pulled him with her.
“Do you think Beck would like this?” Hazel held up a wooden horse figurine.
“Maybe, he always wanted to ride a horse.” Lucca shrugged.
“Ugh.” Hazel set the figurine back down and sighed. “Why is he so hard to shop for? And you aren't any help at all!”
“You just find it hard,” he teased her. “I’m uninterested because I already got him his gift.” Lucca stuck his hands in his pocket.
Hazel sighed dramatically.
“Let's just go home now, Hazel.” Lucca looked up at the sky. “The sun is gonna set soon. If we don't start going home, we'll get there at night and Mom and Dad will know that we went out without permission..”
Hazel sighed dramatically again. “Fine, you're right. Let's go home.”
The two rented a carriage. Their home was located in the forest. To reach it, you had to go through a bend in the road that led straight to their house.
As the carriage reached the bend, Lucca perked up. He stared out the window intently.
“Stop!” He yelled out to the carriage driver.
The carriage screeched to a halt. “What's wrong, boy?”
Lucca caught Hazel's startled gaze. “Lucca? What's going on?”
Lucca smiled hesitantly. “It’s alright, Hazel. I just remembered that I never bought Beck a gift.”
“That’s not true! You told me you had a gift for him already!” Hazel stared at him with wide panicked eyes.
“I lied. I lied, okay?” Lucca stepped out from the carriage.
He turned around and held Hazel's hands. “Promise me you won't leave the carriage until you reach town.”
“But–”
“Promise me!”
Hazel took a deep breath. “Okay. Okay. Will… Will I see you again?”
Lucca smiled sadly. “I love you, Hazel. Forever and ever.”
Tears slid down her cheeks. “Lucca? What do you mean? Lucca?! Why are you say–?!”
Lucca slammed the door shut. Her fists pounded on the wood. “Lucca! Open the do–!”
He moved away, gave the carriage driver money and instructions to drive back to town and ran the rest of the way home.
Lucca stared at the hot, orange, gaping inferno swallowing his home.
Where was his family? His mom, dad and older brother?
Lucca gaped at the sight. He blinked, disbelieving what he was seeing.
He suddenly felt the need to do something. He raced towards the flames destroying his childhood memories.
“A kid! There's a kid running to the fire!”
“What?! Where did he come from!?”
“Is he in his right mind?!”
It was only when Lucca heard the voices, did he see the hooded figures in black. There were multiple of them, moving away from the glowing blaze. Their beady eyes peered at him.
Lucca ignored them and continued into the burning building.
“Mom?! Dad?!” he yelled around, looking for them. “Bec–!”
He gasped. There on the floor are the burnt bodies of his family. Lucca gagged at the smell of burning flesh and dropped to his knees.
“Beck? Beck?!” Lucca nudged the hand of his older brother.
The older brother who comforted him when injured.
The older brother who played with him.
The older brother who would sneak him food at night.
The older brother who had a smile that lit up the room.
The older brother who had an infectious laugh.
The older brother who's lifeless now.
The older brother who he can't see, hear, smell or touch anymore.
The scream that burst out of Lucca is gut-wrenching.
His face hardened.
He will never forgive the people who took his happiness from him.
Never.
He got up.
Ever.
Wiped his tears.
Ever.
Once Lucca stepped into the warm, dark air, it was with the determination to get revenge.
He glared at the men in black. He took one menacing step forward, then another. They snickered at him. What can a child do against many, grown mercenaries?
Lucca growled and picked up the nearest and heaviest branch. His roar had adult men hesitating.
“Capture him. Alive,” an authoritative voice called out from the darkness.
“Yes, my lord!” The mercenaries surrounded Lucca, holding swords.
A small fight ensues. Lucca managed to knock down five mercenaries before he was captured.
A hooded figure in red stepped out from the blackness. Lucca was made to kneel in front of him.
“You are one bold kid.” The man took off his hood, revealing his face.
“Do you know who I am, kid?” he demanded.
When Lucca refused to respond, the man gestured at one of the mercenaries.
The next thing he felt was the hot, searing pain of being kicked.
“Well?” the man urged him.
Lucca still didn't say anything.
Another gesture, another kick, more pain.
Lucca grunted.
The man raised an eyebrow.
“No,” Lucca spitted out.
“There you go. Was that so hard?” the mysterious man asked.
Lucca shrugged and went silent again.
“Well,” the man started. “I’m Count Balcom, the closest advisor to the emperor, one of the wealthiest nobles in the empire and have one of the best lineages.”
Lucca just stared blankly at the count. As a commoner, he wasn’t the most knowledgeable about nobles and their complicated ways.
Count Balcom walked around Lucca, giving him an appraising look.
“You would make for interesting prey.” He crouched and held Lucca’s chin up. “There’s fire in your eyes. I’m sure quenching it would feel fantastic.”
“I will never break. Never,” Lucca growled.
The count backed away and laughed. “It would be better if you cooperated.” He tapped his chin. “I believe a carriage was here. It was carrying your sister wasn’t it?”
Lucca’s eyes widened. “You leave her alone!”
Count Balcom laughed again and grinned wickedly. “If you cooperate, I’ll leave her alone.”
Lucca didn’t even hesitate. “If she stays safe I’ll come with you.”
The count gave an eerie smile. “I give you my word.” He turned to a nearby mercenary. “Take him to the wagon.”
The mercenary nodded and Count Balcom left in a flourish of red robes.
Lucca might have walked into the Balcom Manor willingly but it was hell on earth. He was abused daily and deprived of meals and water. He gave up figuring out time, in that damp, dark, dingy cell.
He hated it. What did he do to deserve this? What did his family do to deserve death?
These thoughts never left him. They circled and screamed. Wanting attention.
Yet he held on.
He must survive. He must survive. He must survive for Hazel. If he dies before he lets him he’ll kill her.
He ate whatever he was given and held on.
Then one day, Lucca was taken out of that gloomy cell. He was put on a wagon and taken to a forest.
When he saw the arrows and horses, he realized what the count meant by ‘prey’. He was going to be hunted.
He was instructed to stay in a small, open field in the woods. The field was beautiful with big trees and colourful flowers. It wasn’t a bad place to die.
He survived for Hazel. Keep on living, okay, Hazel?
When the arrow hit his heart, he had one last thought, he would finally be able to see his loving family again.
However, when Lucca opened his eyes, it wasn’t to the sight of his late family. It was to the sight of a mass of people yelling.
“The Divine Warrior woke up!”
“It’s the Divine Warrior!”
“Save us, Divine Warrior!”
Lucca was confused. What was going on?!
The High Priest explained it all.
Apparently every 1000 years, the evil dragon, Tanan, manages to break the seal placed on him. And every 100 years a Divine Warrior is born.
The Divine Warrior has a stronger physique, superior senses, a good intuition, heals faster, uses aura and has three lives. That means that the Divine Warrior has two other chances at life if death gets to them.
The Divine Warrior awakens when they turn 18. If they die before that, their soul is preserved at the Grand Temple. Once their soul turns 18, they awaken in their older body. Once awakened, two marks appear on the Divine Warrior’s hand. It is only visible to them and counts how many lives they have left.
The job of the Divine Warrior is to reseal Tanan. If Tanan hasn’t broken free yet, their job is to save the people from evil beasts who are his underlings.
As of right now, Lucca has already lost one life, courtesy of Count Balcom.
“I see,” Lucca said, staring out the window. “So now what?”
“Now,” the High Priest began. “Now, you start your training. It is soon time for the evil dragon to break free.”
“Very well.” Lucca turned to face the older man. “But first, I want you to find someone for me.”
The High Priest nodded. “Sure. Who are they?”
“Hazel. Her name is Hazel Puhlavan.”
“What?! She's what?!” Lucca slammed his fist on his mahogany desk.
“I apologize, Your Eminence. Hazel Puhlavan is dead,” the High Priest repeated.
Lucca shoved away from his desk. She was dead?!
“But how?! I did exactly as he said,” he murmured.
Lucca whirled around to face the man. “How? No, when?”
The High Priest bowed slightly, fearing the Divine Warrior’s wrath. “She was killed on a carriage three years ago. It seemed like murder but the case was closed because of insufficient evidence.”
“Damn it!” The desk received another punch.
He shouldn't have trusted that bastard's words.
Hazel was dead but he was here and alive.
Lucca dropped back into his seat. “You're dismissed.”
The High Priest immediately scurried off.
Lucca sighed. He survived this long for what? To find out that the fate of the world rests in his hands? To find out that his sister is dead?
What did he do to deserve this?
“Hahaha! A mere mortal tries to defeat me? Me, the great Tanan?!”
Lucca wondered if all the Divine Warriors before him had to go through this. The evil dragon is very full of himself.
“Come at me, mortal. You'll never be able to defeat me!”
Lucca gripped the Divine Sword. It's the Divine Warrior’s ultimate weapon. It's crafted from lodyed, a precious stone given to Divine Warriors. It allows them to imbue the Divine Sword with aura.
Red light glinted on the silver, polished blade, giving it a crimson look. With Tanan came, what the temple calls, the Haur Moon. It's the source of his power and hangs in the sky. Shadows cast the field of the face-off in black. The combination of red and black gave the place an ominous feeling.
Tanan stood tall, taunting Lucca with his prowess.
“If you're so great, how come you keep getting resealed?” Lucca raised an eyebrow.
“How dare you! You're a mere human!” Tanan lunged at Lucca in anger.
A deadly fight starts.
The evil dragon shot a fireball. Lucca jumped away to avoid it.
The bloody dance continued. Lucca swung his sword. It grazed the dragon’s arm. Tanan roared. His massive tail came crashing down beside Lucca, creating a big dust cloud causing him to cough.
The dust blocked his vision. His head snapped up just in time to see the mighty tail strike again. Lucca raised his sword to injure and ran backwards, keeping the sword up. He left a gaping, bloody wound in his wake. Tanan howled, no doubt in pain.
“Where are you, human?! I will destroy you!”
While Tanan frantically looked around for him, Lucca used the shadows to his advantage. He crept up on Tanan. Using his aura to propel him upwards, Lucca jumped to land the final strike on Tanan's head.
“There you are!” the dragon suddenly turned around, his eyes gleaming wickedly.
Lucca's own eyes widened in surprise.
Tanan struck Lucca with his claw. He barely eluded the fatal point but it still pierced his arm.
“Ugh.” Lucca got the wind knocked out of him when his back hit the ground.
With his arm bleeding, Lucca stood again. He grabbed his sword.
It was time to end this. It was Lucca or the dragon.
Lucca jumped again and growled. He imbued the Divine Sword with aura. When he penetrated the hard layer of scales and the soft tissue under, so did Tanan's sharp claw into his torso.
Lucca heaved as blood rushed up his throat. He fell with a thud and coughed some more.
Tanan thundered and collapsed in a heap on the field. The evil dragon has finally been defeated.
I have to perform the sealing spell.
Lucca blinked against the blackness filling his vision. He coughed up more blood.
I have to–
The blackness consumed him.
Lucca convulsed and opened his eyes. The once red field was now bathed in a reddish-orange glow. Lucca spied the sun sinking below the horizon. The Haur Moon was gone.
He sighed. Everything was finally over. Two gruelling years of training have finally paid off.
Lucca spotted Tanan’s black form.
Well, everything was mostly over.
He sat up and propped his arm on his knee. The gash Tanan left him has healed completely. No matter how many times it happened, Lucca’s ability to quickly heal never ceased to amaze him.
A glance at his right hand told him what he feared. He lost another life. Only one gold mark remained. It sparkled in the glow of the sunset. Lucca had one more chance at life.
Lucca sighed again and raised his tired form. He trudged over to the source of much grief and horror.
With the evil dragon defeated, Lucca can finally breathe easy.
It would also be time for his vengeance.
After finishing the sealing spell, Lucca headed out to perform the necessary steps to complete his revenge.
He would amass great power and wealth. And once he did, he would destroy Count Balcom.
Screams filled the dim halls of Balcom Manor.
“No! Please! Please have mercy!” A maid cried at his feet.
Lucca silenced her sobs. He didn't even twitch at the smell and sight of red oozing out of the corpse on the heart pine wood floors.
The staff that weren't on the floor cowered. Lucca brandished his sword and restained the wood red.
Yells echoed in his ears but he kept moving.
Lucca would get his revenge.
“Stop right there, you monster!”
He looked up to see a flock of knights blocking his advance.
“You won’t make it past us!” The knights all pointed their blades at him.
Lucca laughed. His face hardened and he charged. The sound of piercing flesh reverberated in the hallway.
“Wa-wait! Please spare me!” The last knight recoiled.
“Where is Count Balcom?” Lucca prompted.
“H-he’s in the ballroom. The re-rest of the ar-army is with him,” the cowering man gulped.
“Thanks.” Lucca stabbed the knight.
He stepped over the body and continued in the direction of the ballroom.
When Lucca reached the immense mahogany doors, his sword was dripping and his dark blue clothes were splattered with the same liquid.
When the doors swung open, shouts rang out.
“Stop! Drop your weapon!”
“Surrender and you might be spared!”
But one voice stood out. “You’re one brave young man. Your rampage ends here!” Lucca recognized the condescending tone.
He scoffed. All of his staff lay dead and all he did was barricade himself here.
Lucca swung his sword, cutting knights down left and right.
Count Balcom stared in horror at the man who was slaughtering his knights. A wary smile played on the count’s face. He was arrogant enough to think he was invincible. However, when Lucca towered over him, the smile fell off his face.
“Wait! Tell me what you want! Money? Power? Women?” Count Balcom reeled and Lucca stepped forward.
“If you want women, I have plenty of daugh–”
“Why did you burn that house in the forest five years ago?” Lucca cut him off.
Confusion marked the man’s face. “What?”
“And the girl. Why did you kill the girl in the carriage?” Lucca asked again.
After a long silence, it became apparent that the count didn’t know what Lucca was asking.
Lucca laughed. It was a sad, bitter and angry sound.
All that fury and resentment and anticipation for revenge. The five years he spent bending to powerful figures to get honour and wealth. They all amount to nothing if he couldn’t inflict pain and fear upon Count Balcom’s haughty face.
In his daze, Lucca didn’t notice when Count Balcom picked up a sword from a fallen knight.
“Die, you filthy peasant!” The count sloppily swung the sword in a feeble attempt at killing.
Lucca easily avoided the blade and retorted with a swing of his own. His sword plunged swiftly into Count Balcom's chest.
“I hope you rot in hell,” Lucca whispered in the count’s ear.
Lucca left the man in a bloody heap on the once beautiful heartwood floors and took off to find the rest of the Balcom family.
Now there was one left. The fifth daughter.
Lucca approached the fifth daughter’s chambers. She was the last piece to complete his revenge.
He opened the doors and an eerie creak sounded out. He found her standing in the room with her back to him. The moonlight barely illuminated her form.
Lucca’s sword grazed the wooden floors. He stopped right behind the woman. He knew she was the fifth daughter, yet he asked anyway, “Are you the fifth daughter of Count Balcom?”
She turned around and said, “No. I think you have the wrong person.”
Lucca scowled. He wasn’t expecting the sarcasm. The woman gave him a once-over.
Silence rang out. Big and heavy.
“Spare me!” cut the sinister quiet.
She boldly stared into his eyes.
“No.” He didn’t hesitate. No one associated with the Balcom name will live. He would make sure of it.
The woman frowned. “If-if I saved you and prevented that ‘incident’, would you spare me?”
He snickered. Nothing anyone did would erase the pain, guilt and sorrow. It won’t bring his family back to life, would it?
“No. The only way I would spare you is if you drain all of the Balcom blood from your body. Only then would you be spared.” As long as the Balcom blood ran through her veins he would kill her.
She flinched at the gleam of his ruby-coloured sword. With a sudden movement, the woman swallowed something and doubled over in pain. Lucca hesitated, confused. But just as quickly, she fell to the floor and clutched her chest.
A weird feeling washed over him. He blinked. However, when he opened his eyes again, it wasn't to the moonlit room.
◇◇◇
“Is he still in the wagon?” a masculine voice asked.
“Yeah, I made sure of it. The last thing we need is Count Balcom’s anger,” another answered.
Lucca looked around him, very bewildered. What he saw was an oak wood wagon. Crates and barrels filled it, crowding the small space. The contents were jostled around with the caravan’s movements.
He remembered this wagon. Lucca was brought to Balcom Manor on this wagon. Was this an illusion? Did that woman cast some spell on him?
The caravan abruptly halted to a stop. Lucca heard gravel crunching under leather boots before the back covering was removed.
“Come on, kid. Get out. Don’t pull any tricks or the girl gets it.” The same grotesque mercenary and the same words.
This wasn’t making any sense.
Lucca was roughly pulled out of the wagon and brought before Count Balcom.
“Let’s go, son. I’ll show you your new home.” The count stood at the front doors with a conceited grin on his lips.
He motioned for Lucca to go in first. Stepping inside, Lucca saw the foyer. The front hall was beautifully decorated. A grand and alluring glass chandelier graced the cream-coloured plaster ceiling. An immense wooden staircase stood at the back of the space. Lots of vases with colourful flowers filled the chestnut-coloured corners. In the heart of it, the staff and the occupants of the manor bowed in greeting of its owner.
A girl eased out of her curtsy and focused on him. She looked like a younger version of the fifth daughter. She frowned in confusion at the sight of him.
Did she place a curse on him? Was he now fated to relive the grief, regret and misery? Did she think that having him relive all of that would spare her?
Well, she was mistaken. He would never spare a living Balcom. Just like he lost everything and everyone he held dear and fell into misery he would make sure that they felt despair too.
“Hey, you!” Count Balcom rudely bellowed from behind him. “Take the boy to the dungeons.”
A maid nodded and hurried him down. Down to darkness and torture.
Lucca blinked and saw feminine features. The fifth daughter peered down at him.
“Are you okay?” she asked. “I tried to be as gentle as possible. I’m sorry if it hurts.”
Only then did Lucca notice the salve and gauze sitting beside the girl. The throb on his back was evidence of her treatment.
Was this some kind of new game? A new form of torture?
She pulled out bread from her bag. “Here, I got you some food.”
Lucca stared at her. Was she going to show him kindness and then brutally stab him in the back? Was she going to give him light in this blackness and then take it away?
She took out a pastel pink handkerchief and placed it with the bread in front of him.
He blinked three times.
“Don’t worry! I didn’t do anything to the bread. It’s not poisoned or anything,” she affirmed.
When he didn’t say anything, she sighed. “Alright. I’ll leave you alone.” She stood and dusted herself off. “I’ll come back tomorrow to heal your wounds and get you some food!”
Her absence didn’t quiet his raging thoughts.
The same events over the next 10 years repeated themselves. Getting killed at Count Balcom’s hand, waking up as the Divine Warrior, resealing Tanan and currying favour with the kings of the continent.
The only change was the death of Count Balcom’s fifth daughter. He found her in the same room but he managed to cut her down and she didn’t swallow anything.
Yet the same strange feeling engulfed him again.
◇◇◇
“He-her Ladyship isn't at th-the manor,” the attendant stammered.
“Explain,” Lucca urged.
“Sh-she left as so-soon as she turned 18. No one has he-heard anything from her ever since.”
Lucca laughed. So she was the one who sent him back in time. Did she think leaving would stop him?
With a slash of his sword, Lucca stopped the sputtering man in his tracks. “Thanks.”
The fluttering of Lucca's cape echoed in the soundless manor as he left in pursuit of the runaway lady.
“There you are. I finally found you,” Lucca spoke to her turned form.
She froze. “I admit that leaving the empire was a smart move on your part. It was quite hard to track you down,” Lucca continued.
She didn’t say anything.
“Well, I guess the chase ends here.” Lucca raised his sword and struck her.
For some reason, the sight of her blood on his sword and the sand made him frown. And the same weird feeling from before made him frown harder.
◇◇◇
At the sight of the same oak wood wagon for the fourth time, Lucca sighed deeply.
These time loops need to stop. And the fifth daughter of Count Balcom has the answer.
This time, Count Balcom’s fifth daughter got married to a baron in the countryside.
“Stupid wench! You dare talk back to me? If I tell you to do something, you do it! Why do you never learn?! Do I always have to beat you for you to understand?!”
Lucca shook as he saw the man strike her.
How dare he hurt her?
Lucca kicked down the door and pulled out his sword.
“Who dares to interrupt me?! I specifi–” Lucca didn't let him finish. He landed a blow on his jaw.
“Ho-how dare you!” the man spluttered on the floor.
Lucca scoffed. This man has some guts.
With a slash, the man’s head rolled. A low shriek made him turn around. The sight of the fifth daughter hunched over on the ground reminded him of his purpose.
The haze of anger cleared and the red faded away. He loomed over her.
What was he doing? She was the daughter of his enemy. He couldn’t be feeling bad for her. She was the reason he was reliving his life for the fourth time.
With another slash, Lucca killed her. And on cue, the strange feeling came again.
◇◇◇
“Th-the lady has gone crazy!”
“She was de-demanding ways to drain her bl-blood!”
“Count Balcom or-ordered her to re-re-recuperate at the southern villa!”
“She hurts herself all the time!”
“She has truly gone insane!”
Lucca’s steps reverberated in the hall of the Balcom Southern Villa. It wasn’t hard to locate. A quick interrogation of the servants also told him where the room of its occupant was.
He stopped at the door. Through hell or high water, I will find you and kill you.
Lucca opened the oak wood door. The room was nicely done in shades of light blue and white. But the appearance of the fifth daughter made him frown.
She was tucked into bed. But the iron chains holding her hands up were a morose contrast to the elegant room. Her head was down, her hair a curtain to her face.
He trod into the room and she looked up. The sight of her face was worse. Scratches lined her cheeks and there were bags under her eyes. Her body was skinny and marred by scars and wounds. Her eyes remained blank as she took him in.
For some reason, Lucca’s heart hurt. With a jolt, he realized that he hated seeing her like this. Helpless and wounded.
But Lucca wasn’t one for emotions. So he struck her anyway. His eyes closed in anticipation of the same feeling.
◇◇◇
She approached him. “Hello. Are you alright?”
“For injuring my precious daughter, you will receive 15 whips.” The count grinned creepily.
With a grip on her head, the girl responded, “N-no. Wh-when wronged, we sh-should give back tenfold what we received. I-it’s the Balcom way, right?”
“Take him to the dungeons and make sure to give him his punishment.” With that, Count Balcom departed.
At the intense throbbing from the whip marks, Lucca opened his eyes. He saw Count Balcom’s fifth daughter and scowled. She glared at him, shook her head and continued working.
She patched up his last wound, left some bread and got up. He watched her in silence. Why did she keep helping him, a murderer? No matter how many times he killed her, she treated him without fail.
“Why do you care?” His voice was a little hoarse.
“You got hurt because of me. Of course, I care,” she said firmly.
He scoffed and she shrugged.
She started leaving and Lucca crushed the urge to stop her. To tell her to stay. To tell her that she was the only kindness he experienced through all the time loops. To tell her that he–no he shouldn’t be having these thoughts. She was the daughter of his enemy and, therefore, his enemy as well.
Lucca turned to his side, giving her his back. He heard her footsteps fade away as he told himself to not be emotional. He couldn’t afford it. Survival wasn’t for the weak and emotional. And he certainly wasn’t weak and emotional.
◇◇◇
“Lucca! Are you listening to me?” Count Balcom’s fifth daughter exclaims.
“Ah.” Lucca nods.
She smiles. “So, as I was saying–” she continues telling her tale.
Truth is, Lucca didn't hear most of her story. He was too busy watching her animatedly talking.

This is my first time posting here, but I really want to hear from my fellow POC. Is anyone else tired of reading stories where it’s all about the main character x reader? You dive in, expecting a really inclusive narrative, but then it hits you: “Their cheeks glowed pink!” Seriously? Where am I getting that rosy hue? Or when the character casually puts their hair into an easy ponytail—come on, it takes me forever just to get my hair in a ponytail! You know what I mean, right..??
Tumblr media
It's frustrating when the story drops hints that suggest the 'reader' is white. It really grinds my gears, and I wish writers would stop doing that, or at least include a warning that the reader character is going to be white. I want stories to be genuinely inclusive and for writers to be more flexible in how they describe characters. It’s disappointing when you can tell that a writer based their characters on white experiences and WHITE PEOPLE. but thats all, thanks for listening to my ted talk!!

Royal Duties: looking pretty, sitting still, watching your guards destroy the kingdom.

♡ Yandere! Royal Guards who treat your apathy like a divine test of their loyalty. Your throne is less a seat of power and more a cage, though they refuse to acknowledge that. Every breath you take is their purpose, every sigh their condemnation.
♡ Yandere! Royal Guard who moves like a predatory beast, his grin sharp enough to carve flesh, chaos gleaming in his eyes. “My queen, chess grows so dull—why not use live pawns? Let me fetch some prisoners. Their screams will amuse you!” His gloved hands twitch, eager to pluck a sacrifice. But you only glance at the window, your disinterest sharper than any blade. His grin falters. “As you wish,” he murmurs, hybrid-wolf ears flicking with barely concealed frustration.
♡ Yandere! Royal Guard who radiates extreme devotion, his honeyed voice a weapon of manipulation. “Forgive his vulgarity, Sovereign,” he coos, kneeling before you. “I’ve composed a sonnet in your honor. Would you allow me the pleasure of reciting it?” When you turn your head, he presses a hand to his chest, anguish curling his blackened angelic wings. “Your silence wounds me,” he whispers, though his gaze hardens, calculating. “Perhaps you’ll smile if I bring the heads of dissenters instead.”
♡ Yandere! Royal Guard who is a wall of pure hardened muscle, his every movement precise, deliberate, terrifying. He stands silently behind you, an immovable shadow, until— “Fight me.” The words rumble like thunder, his eyes gleaming with challenge. “You’ll enjoy it.” He doesn’t flinch when you lazily decline. He simply nods once and steps outside, where the earth shudders with the force of him taking out his frustration on the training grounds. Blood pools beneath crushed dummies—your name scrawled across their shattered faces.
They vie for your attention with games that end in carnage and offerings of terror you never requested. Their obsession festers in your shadow, their twisted comedy a hymn to your indifference. And still, they swear to protect you, though it’s the world that needs protection from them.

Longing - Chapter 2
Yandere!Knight x (Evil?)Queen!Reader
Synopsis: You are a queen with a not so great reputation. He is your most trusted, and extremely stoic knight. Lets just say you don't know just how much he would do for you. (he's been secretly pining after you for awhile). Warnings: Dark themes, topic of war, Yandere behavior (mild)
Previous chapters: Prologue, Chapter 1
Almost immediately after the other kingdoms admitted defeat to you, and the war was officially over, you ordered all knights to return to the palace. You hated the idea of them having to stay away from their home even a second longer than they had to.
Despite the people that believe you to be evil, you still had a heart. And for that, you knew that you had to compensate these warriors for what they fought and sacrificed for your kingdom. It was only fair; you may be a cruel enemy, but you were also a very generous ally.
So, upon the arrival of the surviving knights, you would bestow them each a title (if they didn't have one already), a plot of land, and enough money to live a comfortable life.
There would be a grand ball held in honour of the brave knights, and for the victory of your kingdom. Everyone, not just nobles, was invited. You would hold a tremendous feast so that, at least for a night, everyone could eat well, (poverty was no stranger to your kingdom unfortunately).
In foresight, you dreaded having to clean up after this war, it took a toll on your kingdom's riches, but you were determined to make up for it.
The ball was not only to celebrate the victory, but to also show your people what was to come. That, and you couldn't help but hope it would cease the protests that have been going on since the war started.
So, with that, you were neck deep in work and preparations for the celebration, as well as taking care of the aftermath of war. You were swamped with work right up until the day the soldiers arrived at the capital.
There was a huge parade, and everyone celebrated their return. Families got to see their loved ones once more. It was safe to say that many were happy. You couldn't help but let your cold exterior crack slightly, a smile appearing on your face at the warm displays.
After the parade, you sat atop your throne, as you announced the payment each knight would be given, as well as their release of contract. Those who wished could continue to serve you as royal knights, or they could live a quiet life with their payment. No one seemed to have an issue with these options, to your relief.
Then, you dismissed everyone for the rest of the day to rest and prepare for the ball. The crowd cheered with joy as everyone slowly descended.
You were not oblivious to the Grande knights' accomplishments, or his reputation as the “bloodhound.” You knew of all the rumors about this certain warrior; that he was ruthless, heartless, the list was endless. You weren't one to believe gossip, but it did intrigue you. Who was this man? And was he as cold and despicable as everyone described?
Besides your curiosity, you had also wanted to reward him personally for his contributions to the war. So, you called a private meeting with him after the parade and waited in your throne room for his arrival.
---------
Everett was beside himself when he was informed you wished to see him in private. Did you possibly know it was him? The boy you met in the garden? But how could you? He had changed so much since that day; he was almost unrecognizable.
You had changed as well, he thought. When he saw you up there on that pedestal, during the parade, he was breath taken. After his rough journey back to the capital, his tired, baggy eyes felt relief upon the sight of you. You shined so brightly; it looked as if there was a halo above your head.
You had grown up so beautifully (not that you weren't already beautiful before) and so elegant yet powerful, and he was convinced you were a goddess. He, a filthy dog, felt unworthy to even look upon your divine self. In fact, everyone here was unworthy of even looking at you.
Before he could think much more about it, your angelic voice rang out, as you informed the soldiers you were to reward them for their services. Gods you were so benevolent, so kind and giving.
He was so engrossed in staring up at you, that he didn't realize his heart was thundering in his chest at the mere sight of you; It was almost painful, just as it was now, as he stood outside the doors to your throne room.
----------
You were surprised by the sight of the grand knight as he entered the room. You didn't know what you were anticipating, but it definitely wasn't this hulking figure. He was quite tall, and broad with muscle. His hair was as dark as a starless night sky, and long enough to reach his shoulders.
He walked up to the throne you were sitting on and kneeled in front of you, not once looking at you. His hair covered his face as he bowed, and you couldn't get a good look at it.
Ok now you definitely needed to know what he looked like; the anticipation was killing you.
“No need to kneel, you have proven yourself quite enough, honorable knight. Stand up so I can see your face.”
Your command was strict and confident, that of an experienced ruler, yet it was soft at the same time.
He followed your command almost instantly, standing tall and stiff. As you gazed into each other's eyes, you couldn't help the feeling of familiarity washing through you, yet you couldn't quite place it.
Brushing the feeling aside, you spoke:
“I have called you here today in order to reward you personally for the great effort and success you have achieved in the war. Not only did you rise to the highest position as Grande knight, but you also led your troupes to countless victories and essentially won the war. For that, I am grateful, and with this gratitude, I shall grant you any one wish you so choose.”
The knight remained stoic throughout your speech, and you wondered if he even cared about this whole thing. There was a moment of silence, where the two of you just looked into each other's eyes......but then it got awkward, and you spoke once more.
“If it is needed, you may take a few days before deciding on what you would like...”
You trailed off, not knowing what else to say. The knight was expressionless the whole time. It was a little scary in all honesty, but you were a queen, you were used to these types of interactions.
Then, almost hesitantly, the knight replied.
“If I may, your Majesty, I have my wish.”
There was a beat, “and that is....?”
You said, intrigued.
“I would like to be your personal guard, your Highness, that is my wish.”
He said it confidently, as if he already knew what he wanted beforehand. You couldn't help but gape at his response, not ever would you have guessed this would be his response. Without thinking you blurted: “Are you sure this is what you want? I was thinking you would want something like riches, or.....”
You trailed off awkwardly. This whole thing was just odd, but he replied quickly so you couldn't dwell.
“Yes, this is what I want.”
Still surprised, you replied hesitantly.
“Very well, I promised you anything, and if this is your wish, you shall be my personal guard. We will discuss matters more in depth later, but for now, go and enjoy the ball.”
At your dismissal, the Grande knight nodded, turning to leave.
“Wait!”
you called out without thinking, quickly composing yourself.
“I must know, what is your name?”
He turned back to you and spoke calmly.
“It is Everett, your majesty, just as you named me.”
And with that, he turned and left, leaving you to sit there in shock.
It was him; you finally recognized him. The little boy from your childhood.
-----------
As soon as the doors closed, Everett panted heavily, a blush spreading rampant over his face. His heart felt as if it would beat out of his chest (and across the frickin world at this point). His hands shook as he ran them up over his face and then combed through his hair.
He couldn't believe that had just happened. You would let him—he got to--he would get to spend every day with you now, be by your side, protect you--this was the best day of his life. And the way you commanded him like that—his eyes rolled back recalling the pleasure.
He’s waited so long for this. He may not be worthy of you, no one could be worthy of you-- you were meant to be worshipped--but he would do his best.
So, as Everett walked down the large, beautifully adorned hallway, he thought of all the ways he could please you.
A/N: Another chapter Yayyyy! Hope you guys enjoyed it! Next chapter will be the royal ball! I'll try to get the next chapter out soon :D

Imagine being a Royal who can’t escape obsession
Tumblr media
Yandere Knight who’s been trained for the honor of protecting the royals their entire life. Who’s had any semblance of self beaten out of them instead being filled with nothing but reverence for their favorite. At first their obsession is devoid of romance, solely based on their divine duty to protect you. They’re happy just to stay by your side and content with forgoing their own life in favor of yours. That would all change the moment they actually get hurt protecting you. They expect to be broken just like when they were a kid, destroyed and remade stronger, better for you. Instead you are gentle and kind, you help nurse their wounds and their obsession transitions from one of duty to one of love. No longer content to die for you, now they must live for you, their beloved royal. No matter how many people they have to cut down your knight will never forsake their love.
Yandere Advisor a few years older than you but much much younger than your other advisors. They were a prodigy, groomed from a simple stable hand to the person they were today. Their incredible intelligence, tactical mind and people skills make them invaluable to the kingdom but they find themself laying awake night after night. Not worrying for the people but for you instead. They care not for the opinion of other royals or their peers but only of yours. They view everyone as below them, sure their friendly and compassionate on the surface but below the skin lies a bubbling darkness. Every meeting with you that’s interrupted by some silly problem or royal ball they’re forced to miss due to work, they find their facade cracking. They contemplate abandoning the wretched kingdom you loved, whisking you far far away so they can finally have what they love. For now though they’ll wear their cracked mask and guide you as gently as they can, both in your role as a royal and towards your devoted advisor.
Your families resident Yandere Wizard is a strange creature. Equally out of their mind as they are terrifyingly cunning. They slip between the two states so easily that it’s not quite clear which is their true self, maybe they’re both just hiding what truly lurks below their calculating eyes and outrageous outfits. Despite being perfectly capable of turning whatever enemy crossed their path into nothing more than a pile of dust, they prefer to use their magic in more…joyful ways. Turning your dress into whatever color you fancied at the moment or making flowers appears out of thin air whenever you seemed down. Some may call it a waste of their gift but they knew the truth, knew that nothing was a waste if it was done for love. They turn their tower into an inviting place for you and makes sure you know you’re always welcome, that they’ll always have time for their royal. They contemplate keeping you up in their tower forever and using their magic to bring you bliss until the end of days. They would give you whatever you wanted because all they wanted was you.
A Yandere Witch who’d started as a simple forest witch. Content to live in her small cabin among the trees and animals, only ever going into the royal city when they needed supplies or to sell off potions at the marketplace. Sometimes people would come to them for help with their maladies or to try and observe their strange skills for themselves and usually they’d abide before sending them on their way and going back to their solitude. Lately though their solitude wasn’t the great comfort it had once been. Something was missing or rather someone. They found themself going into the royal city more and more, not just flitting in and out of the market place but becoming a frequent fixture. So frequent in fact that under cover of night and a cloak you’d come to seek them, hearing of their skills on one of your visits to greet the subjects. They indulged you, allowing you to watch their work until the sun starts to peak through the horizon and to their joy you keep coming back whenever you can. They becomes so fond of your company that they consider getting rid of that pesky wizard of yours and offering themself for the royal court instead.
A Yandere Maid and your closest confidant, a fact they very much likes to rub in to anyone who will listen. They’d been raised for this since birth, the knight was raised to protect you sure but they were raised to serve. To handle every tedious, boring or undesirable aspect of your life so you’d never be anything less than content. It was a job they took very seriously, keeping detailed lists of what you liked and didn’t like, paying the shadiest people to vet any new people you came into contact with before you ever met them and of course helping in more normal ways too. Because you trust them so implicitly it’s startlingly easy to get rid of any favors of affection from anyone else, after all you didn’t need anyone else. Only they could take care of you the way you needed, it was their purpose, you were their purpose.
The Yandere Jester is perhaps the least assuming of yanderes. Always joking and smiling and laughing and prodding oh so subtly. Telling you stories of when they were sent to the gallows and their escape even fantastical tales of robbed royals, mysterious murders and other various crimes and misfortunes. Ultimately these were assumed to be humorous fibs from a misguided jester but still some nobles would whisper theories while looking at the jester fearfully, saying they were an escaped madman or perhaps a demon in human form. Truthfully no one but you seemed to like them much, always acting as if they were a rabid bloodthirsty beast and they were, to anyone else at least. To you they were a lapdog, hungry only for your laughter and joy. Eventually their stories get to be less about the past and more about the future, talks of how funny it’d be to steal away their beloved and leave all these silly nobles heads spinning. They don’t sound quite as funny telling that one, but still you smile politely and they love you even more for it.
Yandere Suitors sent from other kingdoms, mostly weaker ones seeking to form an alliance but also a few from stronger kingdoms, even empires who simply had a spare and figured it couldn’t hurt or needed agreements on something specific from your kingdom such as a rare resource. Eventually as more and more suitors came and then refused to return home even after rejection, they ended up as more of an unwanted harem situation. Constantly making and breaking alliances with each other to try and gain favor, flitting around the palace ordering servants around to make sure everything perfect all the time for you. Each trying to be seen as the best spouse for you, dreaming of the day you pick them and send the rest home, in pieces if required. Always whispering gossip in your ear, offering to warm your bed or accompany you out of the palace. Theyd do anything to be your favorite, just one step closer.
Throngs of adoring, Yandere Royal Subjects, even people from the far away villages and outer edge territories make their way to the royal city when you make a grand appearance in town. Cheering and waving colorful flags made from scrap, some huddled in groups giving blessings for your safety and health hoping they’d be extra effective with you so close. Parents hold up their kids as high up as they can hoping you’d bless them through the carriage window as they’d seen you do before. People insist on giving gifts and offering, although not to you directly once the royal entourage passes many march to the castles gates and leave them there, in place for your return. While many have negative views on other royals or monarchy in general, none ever seem to extend to you, their beloved royal. Any citizen led attacks or rebellions to the crown always seem to happen when you’re away and never touch your preferred parts of the castle or castle grounds, the very worst that’d ever happened to you was when a small outlier group raided your room and stole a few things. Those same outliers were later found bled out in the middle of town,in the middle of the day, with absolutely no witnesses. Everyone in town knows what happened of course, justice was served.
Yandere Assassin who was the best, never once caught or suspected for the hundred deaths they’d directly caused, so disconnected from themself and from the world that every new identity and culture they found themself ingratiated in felt just as much like home as anywhere else, nothing felt real or right so what did it matter who they were or who they killed. Not until they were assigned to your kingdom, to your family, did they finally start to understand what it meant to be alive and just how precious life was. Years of blood on their hands hadn’t taught them to live but a week with you and their heart was beating for the first time. They mostly watched from the sidelines, acting as just another servant. They watched how the other royals misuse their power to mistreat the people, each other and most egregiously, you. They watch as the others ignore and placate you, watches as they lie and cheat and subjugate the masses and they’re disgusted. It’s amazingly easy to poison their wine, everyone who could possibly be a threat to your ascension. They know you’ll be upset for a while at the loss of your ‘family’ but they promise to be there for you and now that they’ve taken a permanent position in the castle they’ll have all the time in the world to look out for you.
A local Yandere Dragon who kidnaps you every few weeks or so. Of course the first time you’d been terrified, a huge thundering monster snatches you from your visit to the courtyard and just flies off, with you in its talons. Though once back at their surprisingly not horrible cave, you come to understand them a bit. At least more than any other human had ever bothered to. Some knights from your kingdom had stolen from their horde and they wanted whatever it was back, sure being kidnapped wasn’t great but at least they were negotiating instead of just destroying the place in revenge. They are gruff and unpracticed but ultimately harmless to you and after a guarantee of their stolen treasures return you too are returned home. Though every few weeks the dragon seems to have some new grievance that requires the beloved royal as collateral and in that time they grow to be more and more comfortable around you, their little human. Should your kingdom ever wise up to their trick and try to fight against the dragon for you it wouldn’t be pretty. Last time someone stole from their horde they negotiated, that time, they’d burn the kingdom to the ground and take what was theirs, permanently.

It's quiet.
Too quiet.
"Ohohoho!~"
Figures-
Clomping heels sing in their march toward your position, prideful steps reverberating through the narrow corridor. For a flicker instant, the pristine polish of that blasted woman's eyesore of a helmet blinds you as sunlight pouring through the window bounces off the pointed curves. The air ripples as she twirls her spear in hand - leveling its sharpened blade with your shielded neck as she towers boastfully before you.
"Y/n! What a surprise is to see you here!" Throwing her braid hair behind one shoulder, an expression of euphoria snakes across her face as she sighs blissfully. "The gods have smiled upon me this morning!"
"General." Unbothered by the obvious ploy to keep you in place, you push her spear aside." "I believe you are well aware of my schedule- What with your relentless attempts at proposing a duel."
"Ah, my queen bathed in thorns- Surely you could've ended that sentence at the proposal? After all, I only ask you to fight me so that you may see that i alone am the one who will tame your warrior's heart?"
"...I'll pass."
"Aghhh!" Stomping her feet against the stone floor, your general collapses to her knees - arms outstretched to you in yearning!
"Face me, My Bride! Battle me and allow me to strike you down so fiercely that the shame on your bloodline results in you resigning from your post, and becoming mine entirely! Allow the defeat to course through your veins in such a way that you'll be one with me in every life time!""
"There are more important things to fight over. Does the protection and safety of our people mean nothing to you?"
"This kingdom is nothing to me without you! I'd burn it to the ground myself if you parted ways from my side. Beneath your boyish charm I know there is a maiden dying to be freed. And someday I will give you that freedom, My Love."
"I'd rather die at the hands of a thief."
The gasp of horror your general expelles leaves your ears ringing for the remainder of the day.
