IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT FOR ALL LEFTISTS AND PROGRESSIVES
Tumblr media
I've founded a revolutionary coalitionist organization, Young Activists of North Carolina (YANC)! We started at the beginning of this month in a spur of inspiration brought on by the election. We are now dedicated to promoting awareness and education on human rights issues and revolutionary leftist theory, and bringing those ideas to the streets to make real change.
We have a discord server where you can meet and discuss important issues. as well as get notified on events and movements being organized in your area. We also have a Gofundme so you can support our cause as well.
Even if you're not a North Carolina resident, you are still highly encouraged to join our spaces! We can even help you get started on forming your own YAUSA cell in your area.

Power
Tumblr media
Power    [trailer]
Driven to contain threats to social order, American policing has exploded in scope and scale over hundreds of years. Now, it can be described by one word: power.
Instances of police abusing their power are many. But this doc provides some historical context about how it all started. Their early tasks were to violently keep in check Black slaves, Native Americans, and poor labourer during the rise of capitalism. It leads to systematic oppression, and them being above the law and without accountability.
Formally, the doc is not very gripping. But it's important to know these things. It helps to take notice when the presidential candidate of the Republican party makes fascist promises during his speeches.
