Harold Faltermeyer - Axel F 1985
"Axel F" is an electronic instrumental track by German musician Harold Faltermeyer. It served as the theme song for the 1984 film Beverly Hills Cop, its eponymous character (as portrayed by Eddie Murphy) and the film franchise it is based from, which became an international number-one hit in 1985. The track reached number one in Ireland as well as on the US Billboard Hot Dance Club Play chart. Additionally, it was a number two hit in Belgium, Canada, the Netherlands, Switzerland, the UK, and West Germany. In addition to the Beverly Hills Cop soundtrack, the song appears on Faltermeyer's 1988 album Harold F. as a bonus track.
Faltermeyer recorded the tune using five instruments: a Roland Jupiter-8 provided the distinctive saw lead, a Moog modular synthesizer 15 provided the bass, a Roland JX-3P provided chord stab brasses, a Yamaha DX7 was used for the marimba sound, and a LinnDrum was used for drum programming. All instruments were played by Faltermeyer. According to Faltermeyer, the initial reaction to his first presentation of the track to the film's producers and director did not result in an immediate approval; it was not until director Martin Brest voiced his approval that the producers showed enthusiasm. A music video was produced to promote the single, directed by Faltermeyer.
"Axel F" has been sampled in many songs, including "Champion" by South Korean singer Psy. In 2005, Crazy Frog's version became a summer hit. It topped the charts in the UK, with some of the best weekly sales of the year, and remained at the top of the UK Singles Chart for four weeks to become Britain's third-best-selling single of 2005, outselling and outperforming the original version. It also reached number 1 in Australia, the Republic of Ireland, Belgium, Denmark, New Zealand, Norway, Ukraine, Spain, and Sweden. In France, the song stayed at number 1 for thirteen weeks, only to be dethroned by Crazy Frog's second single, "Popcorn". This was only the second time that an artist had ever dethroned themself in that country. It peaked at number 3 on the US Digital Sales chart, and number 2 on the US Adult Contemporary Top 20. In 2024, as part of a tribute to celebrate the release of Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F, the Crazy Frog Youtube Channel made a special crossover music video with Netflix, featuring scenes from the movie, but re-edited to feature Crazy Frog in them, being chased by the Beverly Hills Police and Axel Foley.
"Axel F" received a total of 88,3% yes votes!

hello i saw in your tags that you don't think people on here get casey stoner and as someone relatively new into the sport i would love to hear your thoughts <3
(context here) okay first of all, this post will be framed as ‘things I wish people talked about more with regards to casey stoner’, rather than arguing against what I think people think
I've tried to come up with a concise response to this ask but kept heading into thesis-length territory. so I decided to write a bullet point list and it’s still… yeah… but well it could be worse. if you, dear anon, wish to read thousands of words of casey stoner lore then please let me know. otherwise, here are just a few things I find interesting about this bloke:
casey has a very complex relationship with the concept of confidence, both in other riders and himself, in the sense that he KNOWS how important it is but also believes/wishes that he specifically is kinda above all that
this feeds into how he wishes that racing were Just Racing and not all this other stuff… not his brain not his body not other racers being assholes on/off track not talking to journalists or doing photoshoots not having to deal with politics etc etc - central underlying tension of his career
he has openly spoken about not ever really enjoying race day, saying the only thing he's missed after retiring is qualifying. very perfectionist, the anxiety, the over-thinking, craving control… all key casey traits
(which also ties in with the valentino rivalry, because valentino obviously adores racing (in particular wheel-to-wheel battle) but he’s also great at all that other off-track stuff)
some very rigid ideas of How The Sport Should Look, which you can see in everything from how he talks about racing standards to the introduction of CRT riders (he had it OUT for them, head hot every time aleix espargaro shows up in parc fermé) to valentino’s influence on ducati and the importance of the colour red
let him have his mean streak! the grim satisfaction in discussing jorge’s 2008 injuries after his early-season arrogance towards casey, the dismissiveness towards dani, some of the wilder valentino remarks (this isn’t a criticism to be clear, alien-on-alien violence is part of the natural order of things)
casey is a classic case of ‘just because you’re paranoid, doesn’t mean they aren’t after you’. definitely a suspicious guy and perpetual underdog 'me against the world' mindset. not to get too psychoanalytic-y, but I reckon this was partly born out of how he had to leave australia as a teenager (with his family completely dependent on him succeeding) because of how the racing establishment down under fucked him over
they definitely were out to get him a lot of the time, cf yamaha and then ducati drama plus the slander from some of the greats of the sport, fellow riders, the media etc etc (particularly egregious in 2009 when he was dealing with his mystery illness and a lot of people said some pretty unpleasant stuff in his absence - here is just one example)
his struggles were constantly downplayed. the chronic fatigue misdiagnosed as lactose intolerance led to people calling him weak-minded, broken, running away from the sport (part of why he was so allergic to the idea his results might in any way be connected to what was going on in his head). add in the undiagnosed anxiety and you have all this invisible strife people wouldn't even take seriously
that being said, he definitely did have a propensity for jumping to the worst possible conclusions
two specific examples: firstly from his autobiography, where he makes the claim that valentino may have been sabotaged in the 2006 title decider and was deliberately given a rubbish tyre to make him lose the championship - to which casey’s response was: “welcome to my world, mate”. he does have a tendency to believe he’s being sabotaged, and is constantly on the look out for conspiracies even when they are… unlikely
the other example is mat oxley talking about his issues with casey in his stint working for ducati, partly based on a misunderstanding:
something allegedly written about him in 2001!
let’s just say he can definitely hold a grudge
the moaner stoner stuff was definitely nasty, calling him mopey and whiny and all of that, but he also has never shied away from some good old-fashioned complaining (some of this was a bit of a spiral - complaining for good reason worsening public perception of him leading to more reasons to complain)
see also the lingering marc grudge, who probably did play a significant part in getting casey kicked out of honda (as casey has accused him of). whether marquez prevented stoner from racing in 2015 is more of an open question. casey still speaks about how honda made a mistake by only listening to marc (which, again, does have some truth to it)
casey was always very quick to shut down the idea that momentum, motivation, confidence etc could affect his results (unlike that of his competitors) because he argues he was always very rational & clear-sighted about when things were his fault & when things could be blamed on the bike + extraneous factors. he really goes into detail about this when discussing 2008 laguna seca in his autobiography, which he argues had no effect on him psychologically (but was followed by him crashing out of the lead of the next two races)
has definitely spoken more about his rivalry with valentino than valentino has, which probably has also helped shape perception of it over time
on ‘ambition outweighed talent’ - I feel like people almost understate just what a (hilariously) out of pocket remark it was in context. it was rossi’s second ever race at ducati (and the start of his season was impacted by his shoulder issues) - and the rain meant he had a ~win it or bin it~ approach because he knew it was as good a chance as he might get for some time (despite starting from 12th). the move on stoner for second place was at best optimistic, most definitely impatient and at worst foolish - but sort of understandable in that situation, rossi was definitely rapid, and this stuff can happen in the wet. in that sense, it was obviously more a reaction to the manner of the apology (and his frustration with the stewards) than to what casey himself described as a racing incident
stoner made a remark in his autobiography about how rossi had stolen 25 points in a title battle he was never going to be a part of (oof). whether you're obligated to race title contenders differently is already a bit sketch but certainly should not be a consideration for anybody in round TWO
he was forced to publicly retract the remarks, though he doubled down on them to a deeply funny extent in his autobiography by suggesting they were true of valentino’s entire career and that he’d just benefited from a weak era. rossi mostly took it on the chin especially when interviewed about it for documentaries, probably because with something like that you do just need to take the L
it's understandable how it’s become such a defining image of their rivalry (along with laguna seca), not least because of how evocative the whole thing is - rossi showing up still wearing his helmet, trying to make a PR apology stick while he’s been eating nauseating amounts of humble pie at ducati; stoner casual as you like, pissed off about the points loss while still indulging in schadenfreude about how the Great Big Ducati Adventure is working out for rossi
but again, I think it’s funnier because of just HOW over the top an insult it was in that situation (and more broadly how it does have a different vibe to their interactions when they were meaningfully competing, aka 2007-2008)
in conclusion: casey has his doubts and his insecurities and his obsessions and his foibles… a complicated guy in his own right
and a big thing I’d like to stress here is that the rivalry with valentino does benefit from treating them both as somewhat unreliable narrators
I just think he's neat
#ty for giving me an excuse to be annoying at length about one of my number one guys!!#casey stoner#brr brr#//#lotsss of other stuff you can go into here. he gets a bit sanitised sometimes I feel which is kinda a shame#u can be justifiably resentful and still be very resentful. spite is still spiteful when it's deserved. same with the misanthropic streak#being called weak-minded really got to him imo - and the thing is he's clearly not (& good lord did some big names say some nasty things)#the autobiography feels almost an overcorrection and then you've got him recently talking more openly about his mental health#(even if not specifically about how it affected him competitively - which is obviously a related but not identical conversation)#it's an uplifting development in a way and it's nice seeing how much more comfortable in his skin he seems these days#but he is also a little bitch :)#batsplat responds#//ht

Headcanons about Pedrenzo teammates au please
Hi Anna 👋👋👋👋 thank you so much for this.
This one is tough because it depends a lot on which part of their relationship we are talking about. It's pre-2005? It's 2005? It's between 2008-2010? Or it's 2012 and beyond? (Yes I know I put a gap but there not a lot of info in the 2010-2012 so maybe like pre-2005?, I might or might not have also write about that). I'll try to give 5 head canons for each period, so it's going to be a long post.
Pre-2005
1- Jorge is stocked when he started to work with Dani because that's the rider he used as a reference. And now he's on the other side of the box. Dani is unimpressed. He's just there to win so no matter whose his teammate it he will destroy it.
2- Jorge tried to be friendly towards Dani because he knew he could learn from him, but he was meet with coldness.
3- They don't talk at all. Not even in the debrief, not even in team strategies. Not even when Jorge needs to understand the difference between the new piece/bike Dani has compared to what Jorge has. It's like there's a wall between them in there
4- When Dani wins the championship in 2003 the team partied a lot. Jorge was there like a puppy following Dani and relishing as he FINALLY have Dani's attention
2005
1- Part of Jorge is happy that Dani is his teammate because he knows how good he is. At the same time he knows he's the rider that needs to always beat on track. It's a hard expectation to manage. Dani is just slightly annoyed because he needs to keep his barriers always up. Plus Puig is always telling him to be careful and beat Jorge.
2- Team meetings are a fucking mess. Amatriaín and Puig are always at each other's throats accusing the other of interference/sabotage. They have to split the team meetings in team Dani and Team Jorge and just a few people are in both. to avoid conflict.
3- With each new battle and Jorge crashes the media is all over the team/managers/riders. They are always speculation from sabotage or foult play. Some rivals (De Angelis) might say the team used Jorge as a weapon to make sure Dani won the 250cc Championship the second time in a row.
4- Afer the 2005 Japanese GP Dani is asked to come to the stewards room and discuss Jorge's behavior the team asked Dani to play nice, so he does it. Jorge doesn't get a race ban but he still messed with Dani and De Angelis in the next race and gets it anyways.
5- When Dani wins the tittle that year (Australia), he goes to Jorge's room in the house the team rents in there and rubs his championship. Dani is totally wasted so they might get into a fight and might or might not hate kissed each other.
Between 2008-2010
1- Team tried to brush off the past bad relationship, but after Qatar and the Spanish GP incidents it was clear that they can't. Team is just always doing damage control with them.
2- Team meetings are always separated and Dani demands no data is shared between them.
3- Jorge is always telling the media what's going on, so it's like the media is always at the garage with them. Dani prefers to do the talking on the track., which not always works well as Jorge likes to paint him as the bad guy. Team let them because they are producing results.
4- They bet on results and the winner makes the other do something humiliating.
5- Team doesn't let hem be together in events or do videos for social media due to reasons... Meaning Jorge was shading Dani all the time and Dani always left the place angry. Rumors said the physically fight each other at the back of a garage and might or might not be true.
2012-Beyond
1- Both are hesitant, not sure how they stands they are cordial at each others (if it's post-2015 Dani might be the one to start the first conversation asking about Jorge's collarbone).
2- They split the developing job well. Dani sits there listening Jorge dissect the Yamaha and trying to understand where the Honda is stronger and how to improve the weakness. Jorge sits there looking at Dani when he talks to the engineers for hours about the differences. Also Dani is happy that for once he has a teammate that can actually feel the difference between 2 bikes or different parts (Thanks Marc and Casey for make Dani feel like he's imagining things).
3- They go out for dinners and events and Jorge is always sharing it on social media. They might even train together from time to time in Switzerland.
4- Their media videos are just them talking about 2 stroke bikes, with Dani smiling and Jorge watching Dani. (If it's post 2012 they make reference to the 'And maybe in 2-3 years we get married a lot).
And that's all I can came up at the moment. Sorry

Company Interviews — Week 9-10
For the fifth part (Week 9-10) of our Technopreneurship project, we continued our journey of interviewing local businesses to gain further insights into the challenges and successes that they face. After speaking with twenty companies from the last eight weeks, we progressed back to the Divisoria area to learn more about the lives and experiences of business owners, employees, and their business operations. My group mates are Annriza Lam, Francis Padero, and Honey Rhose Petil, who I collaborated with for this project.
To gather the information that we needed, we printed out a questionnaire that contained separate questions for owners, employees, and general questions about the business. This serves as our guide. We also used our phones to record their responses and capture photos of the interview and the business, if ever the interviewees were comfortable with it.
1. PREMIUM BIKES

Captured by Honey Rhose Petil
We first visited a Premium Bikes branch located in T. Chavez Street, Barangay 4, which was established in 2018. According to our interviewee Nel Jun Camaro, who is the assistant marketing manager there, the company is under the retail industry as they sell motorcycles and facilitates financing by handling sales and marketing on behalf of BPI, which manages the financing process. They are a top motorcycle dealer for brands like Honda, Yamaha, Suzuki, and Kawasaki. Premium Bikes is also privately and fully owned by Gokongwei Group, who also own well-known companies such as Universal Robina Corporation (URC), Cebu Pacific Air, Robinsons Retail Holdings Inc., and many more. Premium Bikes currently has 213 branches within the Philippines, with Mindanao having 13 branches. More specifically, CDO and Bukidnon have 3 branches each, and Davao has 7.
2. ROSELAI’S COLLECTIONS

Captured by Honey Rhose Petil
After that, we then visited Roselai’s Collections located at Corner Velez-Chavez Street, Cagayan de Oro, which was established in May 2023. The business operates in the retail industry and specializes in selling ready-to-wear (RTW) clothing sourced from Dubai and Australia. Their product offerings include trendy crop tops, dresses, skirts, rompers, and bodysuits. The company is privately and fully owned, and currently operates two branches: one at Corner Velez-Chavez Street and a newer branch in C.M. Recto. In addition to these locations, the company participates in bazaars in malls and also during festivals in areas like Bukidnon. The company was founded by Roselyn Quijada, driven by her passion for fashion. According to Iris Jane Pahayac, the store supervisor, the owner is exploring opportunities in the beauty industry and plans to open a beauty salon in the future.
3. WILLOW CAFE

We then visited Willow Café, a Taylor Swift-inspired establishment located in J.R Borja Street. Opened on September 2, 2023, the café is under the food and beverage and retail industry, and is privately owned and fully operated by its founder, Mary Grace Palma, a devoted fan of Taylor Swift since 2009. According to our interviewee, JR Igorot, who serves as both barista and manager, the café offers a mix of services and products, including coffee, soda-based beverages, pastries, and meals like fries and chicken wings. They also sell unofficial Taylor Swift-themed merchandise. Willow Café operates as a single-branch business, with this location serving as its main office. Mary Grace Palma’s inspiration for the café stems from her love for Taylor Swift, reflected in the café’s ambiance and offerings. The business is still in its early stages, navigating growth with a vision of becoming a hub for fans and coffee enthusiasts alike.
4. HONYUN COMPUTER STORE

After that, we visited a Honyun Computer Store branch, located at Jr. Borja, Don Apolinar Velez Street, Cagayan de Oro. Established just four months ago, the business operates within the retail industry and specializes in second-hand laptops, brand-new monitors, and computer parts. According to Shiela Mae A. Palle, the store manager, Honyun also offers repair services and provides online appointment options to better cater to customer needs. The company is privately and fully owned, with two branches: the main branch in Iloilo and another in Cagayan de Oro. While the business is still in its early stages, it has gained traction through numerous resellers who contribute to its growing customer base.
5. DESMARK

Lastly, we visited a Desmark Corporation branch in Divisoria, Cagayan de Oro City. Desmark operates in the retail industry, specializing in motorcycles, home appliances, and related services like spare parts, repairs, and maintenance. However, for this particular branch, they mainly sell Honda motorcycles. They are a privately owned company with the branch’s head office being in Cogon, Cagayan de Oro City. Established on March 1, 1988, in Butuan City, Desmark has grown to over 160 branches nationwide, spanning major cities and rural areas. This Divisoria branch has been serving the community since 2007. While the company continues to expand, the branch aims to boost its sales and enhance local service.

GX 1 - Rick van der Linden
The album GX 1 is named after the synthesizer used in it, the Yamaha GX-1, and is entirely performed on that synthesizer. The Yamaha GX-1 was an analog polyphonic synthesizer with three manuals and a set of playable bass pedals. Rick van der Linden's performance on this shows some good use of different sounds as well as technically good performance. The album art for this features a "Programmable Tone Module" with Rick van der Linden airbrushed into a few of the trimpot spots. My favorite song is Wizzard Dance.

Unleash Your Style with Custom MX Graphics Kits in Australia
When it comes to motocross, it’s not just about the power and performance of your bike; it's also about standing out on the track. Whether you're a weekend warrior or a competitive racer, your bike's appearance can say a lot about your personality and passion for the sport. That's where custom MX graphics kits come into play. At Vizion Concepts, we specialize in transforming your bike with high-quality, durable graphics that not only look great but also protect your ride. From jersey prints to complete MX plastics kits, we offer everything you need to make a statement on the track.
Why Custom Graphics Kits Matter
In the world of motocross, first impressions are made before the race even begins. Your bike’s graphics reflect your style and dedication to the sport. Custom graphics kits in Australia allow riders to personalize their bikes with unique designs, colors, and logos. These kits are more than just stickers; they are a way to express individuality and showcase sponsors.
But aesthetics isn’t the only reason to invest in custom graphics. They also serve a practical purpose. High-quality MX graphics kits protect the underlying plastics of your bike from scratches, dings, and other forms of wear and tear. This added layer of protection is essential for maintaining the bike's resale value and ensuring it stays in top condition.
A Wide Range of Options
At Vizion Concepts, we understand that every rider is unique. That’s why we offer a wide range of graphics kits for various motocross bike brands, including Yamaha, Suzuki, KTM, Kawasaki, GasGas, Honda, Husqvarna, Stark Varg, and Triumph. Our extensive selection ensures that no matter what bike you ride, you can find the perfect kit to suit your style.
Each kit is designed with precision, using high-quality materials that withstand the rigors of motocross racing. Whether you prefer bold, eye-catching designs or something more understated, we have options to meet your needs. Our team of designers works closely with you to create a custom look that matches your vision, ensuring you stand out both on and off the track.
MX Graphics Kits: More Than Just Looks

Oncu fastest on Friday as he leads Bulega by 0.005s

Can Oncu set the fastest time in Free Practice 2. He was just 0.005s faster than Ducati’s Nicolo Bulega. The FIM Supersport World Championship burst back into action on Friday at the iconic and historic TT Circuit Assen for the Pirelli Dutch Round and there was nothing to separate the top two in the timesheets at the end of Friday’s action. Can Oncu (Kawasaki Puccetti Racing) led the way in both Free Practice 2 and the combined classification, finishing just 0.005s clear of Championship leader Nicolo Bulega (Aruba.it Racing WorldSSP Team). Oncu posted a best time of 1’37.951s, coming in the closing stages of FP2, on his Kawasaki ZX-6R to finish on top of the timesheets as he finished ahead of five Italian riders. In second was Bulega who posted s 1’37.596s to finish only 0.005s behind Oncu. Bulega had initially gone fastest before Oncu pipped the Championship leader. The pair had a gap of more than half-a-second to third-placed Yari Montella (Barni Spark Racing Team) in third place, with the Italian racing for the first time in WorldSSP since he sustained injuries in Australia. Montella’s best time was a 1’38.172s. Raffaele De Rosa (Orelac Racing VerdNatura) took fourth spot courtesy of his 1’38.225s set in FP2 as he, like all riders, go in search of a strong result at the start of the European part of the season. He finished ahead of Stefano Manzi (Ten Kate Racing Yamaha) in fifth place, with Manzi’s day coming to a premature end after he crashed at Turn 10 in Free Practice 2. His best time was a 1’38.316s, set in the opening session of the day, to finish ahead of Federico Caricasulo (Althea Racing Team) in sixth place. WorldSSP action resumes on Saturday with the Tissot Superpole from 10:25 (Local Time), followed Race 1 at 15:15.

P1 | Can Oncu | Kawasaki Puccetti Racing | 1’37.591 "After one month and two weeks break away from the bike, I tried to adapt again, and we had some problems. In FP2, I did a little race simulation, and I wasn’t feeling so bad. We decided to put another tyre and I pushed for some laps and I did a good lap time. I’m feeling very good and very confident. I am looking forward to tomorrow!” WorldSSP Combined Results after FP2 1. Can Oncu (Kawasaki Puccetti Racing) 1’37.591s 2. Nicolo Bulega (Aruba.it Racing WorldSSP Team) +0.005s 3. Essential Steps To Keep Your Yamaha Bike Performing Fine
Nothing can give you a more thrilling experience than having a Yamaha bike parked at home. It will help you zip through the city and embark on weekend adventures or long rides. The performance of these bikes will be significantly enhanced by Yamaha genuine accessories that will keep them performing at their best. Apart from these accessories, regular maintenance also plays a significant role in maintaining the optimal performance of a vehicle and making it generate impressive mileage. We have developed some essential Yamaha bike maintenance tips that will extend its life and enhance its performance.
IMPORTANCE OF YAMAHA BIKE REGULAR MAINTENANCE
Regular maintenance of your bike will play a significant role in its performance, reliability and safety. Skipping regular checks provided by an authorised service station of Yamaha motor in Australia will lead to performance issues, reduced fuel efficiency and frequent wear and tear of critical components. In this situation, you must invest in OEM Yamaha parts in Australia and Yamaha genuine accessories. You can eliminate this situation by following some easy maintenance tips discussed below.
ESSENTIAL YAMAHA BIKE MAINTENANCE TIPS OFFERED BY YAMAHA MOTOR IN AUSTRALIA
REGULAR OIL CHANGE
Vendors of Yamaha genuine accessories recommend changing engine oil at regular intervals. It is the simplest yet the most influential maintenance step to keep your Yamaha motor in Australia performing like new forever. Experts recommend changing the engine oil every 5000 km or, depending on the usage or your manufacturer’s recommendation. Investing in the right engine oil, as specified by Yamaha Motor in Australia for your bike’s model, is also helpful. With this simple step, your engine will stay smoother and perform more efficiently.
KEEP THE AIR FILTER CLEAN
A clean air filter is the life and soul of any Yamaha bike’s performance. Dirt and debris can close the filter, and as a result, airflow will be reduced, and you will experience degraded performance or increased fuel consumption. Experts recommend changing the air filter every 1500 km and more frequently if you ride in dusty and polluted areas. It must be cleaned or replaced as per the condition found after replacement. This will improve fuel efficiency and allow you to experience a healthy engine’s performance.
MONITORING TYRE PRESSURE
According to the Yamaha genuine accessories vendors, tyre pressure influences the bike’s performance, fuel consumption, handling, and safety more than any other component. This is why incorrect tyre pressure is considered a serious issue, or worn-out tyres are recommended to be replaced immediately. You must check the tyre pressure frequently and inspect for signs of wear and tear or uneven treads or cracks.

A while back (middle-ish of the season) I did a post comparing the GP24 and the GP23 points scored because I was done with people saying (and Ducati forcing the riders to say) there wasn't a real difference between the bikes (if you are curious, the post can be found here)
I was supposed to look at the data once the season was done, but somehow it slipped my mind until now. Soo here it is, the Part 2 of that same post.
Let's start by looking at how many times did the GP23 perform better than the GP24.
The GP23 only won against the GP24 7 times, which 3 of them where in a Sunday race (Aragón San Marino and Australia), and the rest where on a Sprint (Portugal, Americas, Catalunya and Aragón).
Also to note that only in Aragón, the GP23 managed to win both races. Whereas, the GP24 managed to do that in 14 out of the 20 GPs held in the 2024 season. Which means that a 70% of the weekends ended in a double GP24 win and only the 5% was a double GP23 win (and a 25% a mix result).
Another interesting fact to note is that Marc was still the only rider in the GP23 who managed to outscore the GP24, which shows how good of a rider he is as he overperformed the bike (over and over again.
Like last time, for those who prefer to look at graphs:
(Remember that Sprints award at maximum 12 points and the Race is at maximum 25).
When looking at the total points, Ducati managed to score a grand total of 722 points (of a maximum of 744). From those, 608 correspond to the GP24 (84.21%) and only 114 (15.79%) from the GP23.
Surprisingly, the GP23 seemed to be able to close the gap a bit towards the GP24 (basically they doubled the percentage of scored points). I don't think this was because the GP24 suddenly become a worse bike, I just think other teams and manufacturers drop the ball, which allowed the GP23 to be closer and have only Ducatis in the Top-5 and even in one ocasion all Ducatis in the top-8. Plus Ducati just realize it was all for them, so they let them race more.
We can look at the riders individual data, and see who score more points for Ducati.
Surprisingly, Pecco is the one who score more points for the Manufacturer championship, but he still lost the riders championship to Jorge (yes this is how much the Sprint race change the game, but also the sheer consistency (Jorge screwed less times than Pecco, and was content to settle for 2nd or even 3rd just to score points)).
Visually it looks like this:
Marc alone contributed with 114 points, which is 39 points more than Honda (75 points) and 10 points away from Yamaha (124). We are talking that a single rider in what is a 1 year old bike, did better than a whole constructor with a brand new bike (nearly 2 of them!).
Last time, I also looked at the data as if Ducati had entered the GP24 and the GP23 as 2 different constructors. In this case, the GP24 would had been the winner with a grand total of 697 points, while the GP23 would had placed in 2nd place with 461 points.
This is how the championship would have looked and their rank according to the new concessions system.
Not only didn't the other manufacturers not close the gap with Ducati, but they also seemed increase it compared to last time (last time the GP23 was C rank still on top of Aprilia and KTM). We are actually seeing a 134 points deficit between KTM and the GP23 (if it was a constructor on their own), which is a MASSIVE gap.
Now, how would the manufacturers points be distributed in this new scenario?
For the GP2024
Pecco would still score most of the points, but the gap between him and Jorge would be smaller, which means that Jorge was most of the time (6 out of 7 times) the best Ducati when Marc beat the GP24.
Now for the GP23, this is how it looks like:
In this case, Marc is the rider who scored more points. It's interesting to note that in this case, everyone of them manage to score some points.
Just to point out something, Pecco and Marc both would had scored more points for the their 'manufacturer' than KTM as a whole (the second manufacturer in the championship) by 52 and 48 points respectively.
Once again returning to the question which promptly the first analysis 'Is the GP24 better than the GP23'? Yes it is. Some might argue that the gap between the GP24 and the GP23 got smaller, but lets be honest. The GP24 got hindered with the no wildcard (which is different than the not testing') a bit. Plus on the second half the rest of the teams just disappear, so basically it was just Ducati vs Ducati all the time. So basically it wasn't like the GP23 suddenly got better, the rest of the field, just got worse and by just staying on the race they got assured a Top-10 finish most of the time, probably even Top-5.
Still kudous for Ducati for making such a good bike that they destroyed the field twice with 2 different bikes, which makes me be afraid of the future with all the rumours of KTM withdrawing. I also hope that with this year ban on Ducati doing wildcards affects them and helps other factories catch up, other wise, we are doom until the new regs cycle kick on in 2027.

MotoUSA 2011 ATK 700 Cruiser First Ride Video
youtube
But I like most about this bike is it doesn't resemble the dirt bike at all and it really shouldn't because it's a cruiser and a son said it too and daughter they said why should it resemble it in shape or form when it is nothing like it and he made it completely different it's a different motor and people are jumping up for Joy they said why is a dirt bike motor when it's not a dirt bike and I loved it and it was set up really really nice it's low yet it can corner and can keep up with sport bikes on the turns there's a lot of power about 80 horsepower and 70 footp and for a 700 that's a lot. And it really sold well this is a real high selling bike is American people wanted to buy it he's going to put it into production today and with a couple of bigger ones too pretty much the same frame it's a bigger motor so I'm pretty honking sized cruiser by the way he says he might make a real nice big one as a matter of fact it's two big ones 2000 and 3000 but not sport bikes but he has those too already designed and it being built for racing. These are for cruising but they do race them too and he's going to probably enter races fairly soon it's American bike but we're getting ready to take on the clones they don't want the bike out still it's not as imperative to them, but they don't like it. And our son says I don't know why they wouldn't like it because if the Yamaha is like a yamaka the ATK is like an American bike it's sort of getting it and all about getting free stuff like dinging me. And Tommy F there's no comment but he says sure they probably go for it cuz they're stupid like most clones and I agree why wouldn't you you didn't even get free stuff cuz he like this vending machine nobody's watching. No. Can't get it. Well anyways they're made to be a little dumber than me I'd say no but who the hell cares about a motorcycle company we're going to expose themselves over it and it probably pull up with you with brand new leather on. Lol it's a very gay look you're probably a new leather on too that's absurd. Tommy F said all that but my son said the last part. Literally want the gay stuff but when people dress up in their leather and it's new it looks kind of gay so I can see you from that mad Max thing. But you have to have leather for the cruisers you said it would be Spike would be the 700 which has a lot of power but probably doesn't go that fast it does though yeah it doesn't have to go that fast on a big bike it's true value but it looks really cool on the road it would be his bike that he designed and he's getting money from and people who have a horse s*** I mean a fit okay they will go nuts and probably out of control nuts just completely outside of their skin. Who knows what they would say it would be unruly and weird and strange drive around with a crew that originated and they'd be like it's not really his and Jesus would be just interesting wouldn't it. It says it's better than fighting with the shopping carts. So it's going to make everybody sick what's going on here and really the four 60 or 4 whatever size the smaller bike would be would fit him very well and then conquer everybody in the dirt you would not be able to touch him he likes to fly around fast okay and he likes to top it out and he's kicking your ass. He'd be kicking our ass. I mean it too in the dirt could be fast with that bike is really fast just wondering about the Enduro to get that first mb I'm sorry to get what he's saying it wouldn't have to ride on the road. But seriously folks it is the thought and they're going to come out soon and it's his bike and it's hers. Lot of people thinking KTM and in a street sport bike because they're made in Australia for real that's where the plant is and they want to take him there even trumpsters there's no way to get one right now because it doesn't have money that's what I'm trying to tell you
Thor Freya
That's a very clueless and last night was the example around 3:00 a.m. the attack convinced and around 4:00 a.m. they're all gone it was so huge it took a while and it kept pouring in believe it or not and it spread out in Canada it took it took that long and the empire attacked you afterwards you don't even mention it you're pretty stupid this is actually hard and it's took out a lot of stuff. So much so they're making it possible for us to bring out lots of cars and trucks and bikes and more all sorts of companies even ATK as leftover cruisers Enduro quads well trikes for off-road, in a slew of dirt bikes and the new ones aren't very much different so I'm going to the old deer dealerships who are not the big wigs cuz they're stinkers see if they want to open and they say yes it's not very many big wings there's like three and they don't have much left we believe. It is working this morning they're opening their doors again and I'm going to have these bikes
