Now, to put some backstory in Yandere Taro and his family :)
I'm going to be putting a timeline for him along with some headcanons for him along with Hanako, too (and their families).
Timeline
2003- Taro Yamada was born. During his birth, he didn't cry. He was a quiet baby once he came out.
2004- Osana Najimi was born.
2005- Hanako Yamada was born. During her birth, she was the same as her brother. She was a quiet baby. Taro was 2, and Osana was 1. During this time, the two were always together because their parents were friends.
2008- Taro was 5 years old when his father confirmed that he was born with the Yamada condition. During this time, it's where Taro noticed how different he was from other children and from Osana, mostly. Here is also where his father starts teaching him his skills of murdering, getting away with it, etc.
2009- Osana was told by Taro's father about the condition and explained to her about it. Osana promised to be by Taro's side and always keep him company.
2010- Hanako is confirmed to have the Yamada Condition as well by her father. She was taught the same thing by her father of getting away with murder, murdering, etc.
2015- He was in 7th grade. He was 12 years old at the time. This was where he took his first victim's life.
2016- He was in 8th grade. He was 13 years old at the time. This was where he took his second victim's life. The case of the first victim's murder was considered a cold case.
2017- The case of the second victim's murder was considered a cold case as well, and the time when Taro entered high school.
2021- Taro graduates high school and enrolls in Akademi. He meets Budo Masuta and befriends him.
2022- Osana enrolls in Akademi. She meets Raibaru at the end of the semester of Akademi.
2023- Hanako enrolls in Akademi after some convincing from her father to the headmaster and the CEO of Kusha Corp. Osana and Raibaru become best friends. Taro finds his senpai.
Taro had two victims while he was in middle school.
Victim #1 : Aadiya Tamasshi.
Age: 11.
Death: killed with a rock.
Aadiya means "first" while Tamasshi means "Soul" or "Spirit"
Aadiya was Taro's first victim during middle school. Aadiya was known to bully Osana for being timid and not standing up for herself. She even teased and threatened her on cutting her hair if she told anyone or just to scare her to see her cry.
Once Taro found out the truth about the bullying, he followed Aadiya when she was walking home from school. Once they were alone, Taro grabbed a big rock and immediately attacked her. With the same rock, he hit her head over and over, even her face. Taro continued, trying to quit her screaming, but once she was dead, her face was completely unrecognizable. With that, Taro got rid of the rock by throwing it in the river and washed his hands there too before leaving her body there.
Once her body was found, the police couldn't recognize her. They had to use dental work to identify her. They tried to find the murderer but there wasn't enough evidence on the scene.
To this day, people who walk by that spot where her body is found. People could hear a little girl crying or screaming during the night. Her murder case was considered a cold case.
That was Taro's first victim. The first soul to go.
Victim #2: Reiko ( I need a last name for her)
Age: 12
Death: A knife.
Reiko means "ghost child"
Reiko was known to bully Hanako once she entered middle school. She would bully Hanako for how different she was ( Her condition). She would push her around, tease her, or drop things on her since Hanako never reacted or responded.
Taro took it in his own hands once Hanako told him about it. Taro grabbed a knife from his kitchen and put it in his bookbag without having his mother or father seeing him. He took it to school and waited until the end of the day to follow Reiko while Hanako stayed with Osana. Once he found the right moment, he pulled out the knife from his book bag and buried the knife inside of her skull, killing her immediately. With that, Taro got rid of her body, trying to make sure no more blood was spilled. He threw her body in the river and left the scene with the weapon( that was in a plastic bag) in his book bag.
Her body was found in the river weeks later, and there was no evidence since her body was in the river for weeks, so her case was considered a cold case.
To this day, when someone walks by that spot where she was killed, they can see a shadow watching them from the river that her body was found.
That was Taro's second victim. The second soul to go.
Hanako and Osana don't know anything about Taro being involved in those deaths.
Headcanons
Taro and Hanako are very close. They are willing to do everything for each other. They are a team.
Taro would always carry a journal where he wrote his thoughts. He was always alone if Osana or Hanako were not present, so writing was a way to cope with the loneliness besides reading books.
Reading books was a way to escape reality from the empty and incomplete feelings he had. Those books have him something to... imagine and make time go faster.
Taro and Hanako's relationship with their parents is very wholesome. They are very close as family despite their condition. Their mother always teaches them new recipes to do and spends time with them as much as possible. (She does know about the condition). Compared to their father, he is like Ryoba. He teaches them how to get away with murder, clean up the crime scene, etc. Overall, they have a positive relationship.
Hanako does enjoy cute things even if she can't really express it well like people her age. Hanako looks like her little innocent self, but she has the attitude of Nemesis.
Their relationship with their great-grandfather is quite wholesome (in their own way). He always tries to visit them to spend time with them and teach him his skills that he learned during his time when he found his person. Their great-grandfather is 94 and still alive.
Their grandfather (Taro's father's father) is quite a bitch and spoiled.
Taro and Hanako don't have a good relationship with their grandfather.
Unlike Ayano, he can actually talk to Ayano. He just gets nervous at first.
Taro's second friend is Budo. Hanako is barely starting Akademi, so she doesn't have any new friends ( besides Raibaru)
Taro and Hanako have a lot of dark thoughts once they feel annoyed by someone or wasting time on someone who isn't important. (mostly harming them)
The heart hairpin that Hanako has was given by her mother for Hanako to remember the huge love her mother has for her.
Osana and Taro/Hanako
Osana is everything to Taro. Taro is willing to do everything for her to see her happy and safe ( As you can tell by his first victim)
Osana isn't rude to him( like in the game). She's more caring, open, understanding, etc. Osana is there for Taro as much as possible because she knows about the condition. She's willing to do everything for him even if she knows Taro couldn't really express himself well.
Osana would have Taro and Hanako over to her house as a sleepover. It was a way to spend time with each other.
Osana would always buy Taro books for him to read, or they would read together if there was nothing to do.
Taro has been there for Osana many times when her heart was broken by a boy. He wasn't very good at comforting her, but he was there.
The three have matching cat charms because of Osana. Taro and Hanako were forced by her.
If Taro or Hanako are being bullied or hurt in any way, Osana will stand up for them and protect them ( even if it ends up her being bullied too or hurt as well)
Osana allows Taro and Hanako to brush her hair and style it. She trusts them.
When Kaga tries to convince Osana that Taro and Hanako were involved in the deaths of the male rivals, she denies it and pretty much refuses to believe it until she can see the evidence of their involvement, of course.
Extras
Their great-grandfather was only 49 when he killed Toshiro (Kaga's grandfather)
Great-grandfather Yamada ( Don't have a name for him yet) was the one to kill almost every rival his son had. His son only killed two. The rest of the rivals were killed by Great-grandfather Yamada.
He killed Toshiro with a gun. A bullet to the heart.
After the death, the image of Toshiro haunts him.
The reason why he killed Toshiro was because he was getting in the way of his son. Toshiro had a goal of getting rid of Taro's grandfather and put him behind bars for the murders he committed. He wasn't backing down, so Great-grandfather Yamada killed him and tried to kill his wife too, but failed. ( Because of this, it affected Kusha Corp and the way Kaga was raised ( and his father too))
He never met Kaga in person or seen him on TV. He's too old for that, lol. (His reaction is interesting when he does see him)
He spoiled his son a lot. He did everything for him to get his happy ending which is why Taro's grandfather is spoil and a bitch.
He was the one who raised Taro's father. His son was too busy enjoying life with his wife, making sure he got money and what he wanted rather than focusing on his own child.

Headcanon: Bruce is the favorite child in his family. Not saying that they don’t love Amy. Mr. and Mrs. Yamada just have more to say about Bruce than they do about Amy
I feel like Bruce unintentionally became the “favorite”. After the basement, they were very protective or him and tried to pay more attention to him. Amy barely understood, since she was around 12-13 at the time Bruce escaped. She wasn’t told any info about what happened, because her parents didn’t want her being exposed to all the details.

Feeding into the sibling headcanons of my newest fic ( a second chance (I'll take it no matter what)):
Finney and Gwen:
- their bond is even closer, they understand eachother without words
- if someone even tries to pick on either of them, the other comes to the protection, if verbally or physically is actually more or less depending in what condition the other sibling is.
- Gwen would literally travel through time for Finney, and does so.
- Finn's main goals are simple: protect the boys, make sure the Grabber doesn't even realize Gwen exists.
- They have disagreements. Quite often actually, though they still have the mentality : we can't be against one another if someone is against us two (either their dad or the Grabber)
- Finney still eats Gwen's ice cream, and she drinks his grape sodas if she gets the chance.
- she also likes, if the situation let's it be, to pick on Finney's crushes. (Donna First, then Robin.)
- tho Finney acts like he doesn't like it, he enjoys buying Gwen sweets or magazines or anything she likes.
- they always are there for eachother, and know of to clam the other one down I'm case of a panic attack.
- Gwen always tells Finney everything, and he tells her almost everything.
Donna & Billy (they are siblings in this AU)
- They don't have a great relationship ( constant fights, sometimes getting physical with shoving and when they were younger even hitting)
- after Billy was kidnapped, Donna fell into some kind of trance and just acted like.. nothing happened. She couldn't quite grasp what had happend and that her brother didn't return from his paper route. After his killer was dead though, she fell into a kind of realization and now only wants to make things better, change the past and save him to get the chance to at least tell him how sorry she is for him she treated him.
- Billy always left, though the siblings mostly were cold to eachother, a chocolate bar before Donna's door if they had a fight to say he was sorry. He doesn't know how to say sorry really. Sometimes it annoys Donna but she also appreciates it.
- Billy is a year and a half older than her, and is constantly acting like he is absolutely superior to her because of this ( he is only a few inches taller than her, and in the future Donna would have grown taller than him).
- tho they absolutely act like they despise eachother or don't know eachother, they can grow quite protective of eachother. Of course this grow into fights sometimes.
- Billy has terrible fears of storms and tornados, after he survived a bad storm on one of his routes. (A tree he was driving under was hit by lighting and a branch almost fell on him, but he survived with only a few bruises and a broken toe) Donna then either told him stories or just slept in the same room as him. Neither of them talk about it, but it happens.
- they do have to go through a lot of therapy before they can say to eachother that they love and appreciate each other. (Yet Donna traveled back in time to save him from the Grabber.)
Vance & Griffin
- Griffin used to sit right next to Vance and watch him with Vance's other friend break his Highscores and was having the time of his life while doing so, because oh my god the Vance Hopper is my brother and he lets me watch!
- Vance is a terrible comforter, and Griffin is a emotional kid. Chaos ensues everytime Griffin comes to his big brother crying and he just tries to clam him down. He often just offers to buy him ice cream or go catch bugs with him.
- While Vance likes to fight, while not in any sport, and to play pinball but this irrelevant for this rn, he wouldn't do it in front of Griffin. Not because his brother doesn't like violence nor not to scare him. Griffin just gets way too much of a big mouth and tries acting like Vance, while being build like a stick. ( How easy his back was to break.. like a stick.)
- the two curse a lot around eachother, and Vance tries to talk Griffin out of trying to beat people up. Because he can't, and Vance is terrible at patching himself up. Let alone his little brother!
- their dad isn't around a lot, so Griffin looks up to Vance. He gets a lot of his humor from Vance and his attitude sometimes.
- tho sometimes having different opinions, they two always stick together.
- Griffin loves bananas while Vance despises them like he has personal beef with them.
- as ghosts, while Vance was in the basement, Griffin knew he knew Vance from somewhere. Vance called out to Griff, but Griffin never realized they were brothers. When Vance died, he hugged Griffin so hard and cried harder than ever before, even while dying he didn't cry so hard. He apologized for leaving him alone that day for not walking him to school and anything. Griffin just asks who Vance is.
- normally Vance walks Griffin to school ( on the day of his kidnapping they had a fight.. Vance stayed home while Griffin walked to school. We know how this one ended.)
- Griffin is someone who overhears, through being almost unnoticeable to his peers, everything. Meaning Vance knows exactly what someone said. Because Vance is the one Griffin tells everything.
Bruce & Amy
- don't get always along, kind of rivals in things to impress their parents.
- when they were younger, they had a similar situation as Billy and Donna, but they grew over it. They still have tension but get along way better.
- Amy is more antisocial than Bruce, and unlike him she tells when she doesn't want something.
- Amy loves sweets, while Bruce likes more spicy snacks and less sweet deserts.
- Amy is at every Baseball game of Bruce, and he goes to every soccer game she has.
- After Bruce disapeared, Amy's grades really got low. So low, she had to repeat the year, because she was so distraught by her big brother dissapearing.
- for that reason she didn't like Donna. They were in the same situation and shoes, their big brothers being gone, and Donna acted like.. nothing happened. After Finney disappeared she and Gwen got to be friends, and later she warmed up to Donna too, after realizing that was the way she dealt with the trauma.
- Bruce tells Amy all about his problems and is the only person he is like half out to, and she does so too.
Robin and literally everyone.
- the literal only only child in the friend group.
- he acts like a big brother to the younger siblings (Griffin, Gwen and Donna, sometimes Amy if Bruce brings her along) and like the annoying younger brother to Vance and Bruce and Billy, and to Finney he's his soulmate.
- he one time snuck all of his friends in his uncle's truck to the cinema without him knowing
- he got the best lunches, because either his mom or his uncle make them.
- look at his friends the wrong way and he'll make you pay. Bare you nice, he'll be nice

Best Siblings Round 1: Akk & Im & Egg (Enchante) vs Koichi & Younger Siblings (Eternal Yesterday)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
[Submitted Reasons Under Cut]
Akk & Im & Egg: "They seem to live alone together, meaning Akk and Im are raising Egg. Akk and Egg help Im out a ton with her business, and Akk stands up for Im against misogynistic online comments in literally the first episode. Egg and Im are shown to be some of Akk’s biggest supporters as he navigates his relationship with Theo (with the exception of one bad take Im has, but it all works out). Their sibling shenanigans make some of the funniest scenes in the show, especially Egg’s. I don’t think any character wanted Akk and Theo to get together more than she did."
Koichi & Younger Siblings: "Koichi’s preschool-age siblings aren’t a huge part of the story, but Koichi’s loving, caring relationship with them grounds him, and is part of what makes Mitsuru falls in love with him. And the scene in the hospital where Koichi is the first person to hold his newborn sibling… I’m starting to cry just thinking about it. It’s tender and heartbreaking and somehow joyful all at the same time."

I want Hanako to be this super street smart kohai type who is ONLY sweet to her friends and family (Taro can see some of the bratty side but he spoils her a bunch; Osana firmly believes that Hanako is naive and needs to be protected so on Hanako's week, if she isn't with Taro, then she's with Osana. This is only if Osana is kept alive.)
Meanwhile, when neither are in sight, she refuses to take shit from ANYONE. She's quick on the uptake on who to avoid and who to appease.
The delinquents? She knows that they won't bother her by being shy when disposing the class's garbage.
The bullies? She locks onto what they're most proud about on their appearance and compliments it. She doesn't push for further conversation, and it'll slowly build up to them exchanging greetings every now and then. Kokoro happens to be the one who initiates conversation after they've built a rapport.
The teachers? Oh, she is lovely to them. What a kind student who offers to help when she sees them. But she isn't a teacher's pet! She's far too social with mingling with others and tends to suggest another student who would better fit what the teacher needs. Such a good girl who is always so cheery.
The student council? They're not very interested in her. But they know she isn't dangerous. Hanako tends to avoid them since they're all intimidating.
Etc etc she maintains a level of popularity, far more than her brother does, and because she's more savvy with people than books, she's far more perceptive on others' attitudes. She's sharper than her brother, seeing how popular he actually is (confuses the hell out of her) and acknowledges that her oblivious brother is the one who needs protecting.

Headcanon: Amy takes dance lessons and is a cheerleader. She feels that these are the only things she is better at than Bruce
I agree with this, I think she’d be a dancer in the winter, a cheerleader in the fall, and a baseball player in the Spring/Summer like Bruce. She isn’t better than him at baseball though!
Bruce always goes to her recitals and picks her up from cheerleading

Finney doesn’t talk about what happened to him.
Some nights Gwen wakes up to the sounds of her brother whimpering- on the nights that it’s bad she’ll wake up to cries. There’s always a haunted look in his eyes in those first few seconds of conciseness before Fin recognizes Gwen. But even then, some nights the darkness won’t fully go away.
Sometimes Fin is okay with touch, letting his sister get into his bed as they cling to each other, hoping for sleep to bless them soon once more.
Other nights, he isn’t and Gwen is never too sure what to do those times. He won’t fall asleep under her watchful eye and even though she believes she knows why, she’d never dare to ask. Petting his hair will only put him on edge. Warm milk was what their mother used to give them after nightmares, so on the rare occasion Gwen will make it for him before returning to her own room. Most times though, when it’s bad, Fin will just tell Gwen to go back to bed and she’s learned not to argue with it. No matter how much she wants to.
So sorry for the brain rot
first, you have nothing to apologize for!! brainrot time is always welcome here <3 and second, WTF I LOVE THIS HEADCANON— like it breaks my heart, but i love it so much T^T thank you for sharing it with me <33
