I really like Transformers when it comes to names and identity. I know IRL toy companies lose and gain the rights to characters all the time so the the comics/shows tend to reflect this but in universe, any one can change their name and the rest of the cast will go along with it. The most famous example is how Orion Pax turns into Optimus Prime or how D16, Megatron, and Galvatron are technically the same character. Other examples include:

G1: Skyfire to Jetfire, Hot Rod to Rodimus MtMtE: Trailbreaker to Trailcutter Shattered Glass: Bumblebee to Gold Bug Energon Universe: Ulchtar to Starscream

@akapen011 I have been using Tumblr for a few months and only now realized how to check reblog tags. This is extremely sweet, thank you!
