Hi! I'm curious how you think the "I'm Ace Conversation" between Jon and Martin would go, realistically. Fics where Jon comes out are pretty much always a delight, but these two, despite trying really hard, are not always the best at communicating feelings. Or timing, for that matter. So I've been thinking what that conversation might have gone like when you take that into account instead of only looking for the fluffier fluff 😊😊 Happy belated ace day!

I've written quite a lot of fics about this, myself, exploring various headcanons, but realistically...?

A few days in at the safehouse, Martin made a move, Jon panicked, and the conversation happened in between stammered apologizies about crossing a line/not saying something sooner. Martin spiraled into guilt about putting Jon in an uncomfortable situation and Jon spiraled into guilt about not being able to meet Martin's "needs". Both of them spent a lot of time reassuring the other, while denying that they themself also needed reassurance.

Definitely not the fluffiest fluff, but I do think the whole situation would shake out as more hurt/comfort than angst. They're both pretty good about boundaries, once they're in a situation that forces them to actually talk about it, and while Jon might not be the best at explaining what his boundaries actually are, Martin is definitely not the type to try to push them without getting a clear answer about what's okay and what isn't first. Honestly, he'd probably back off too much, forcing Jon into the mortifying ordeal of having to ask his boyfriend to kiss him with tongue (or other physically intimate, non-sexual contact of your choice), because yes, Martin, he really does enjoy that and no, it's not crossing a line.

(Okay, okay, realistically Jon would just initiate and hope Martin got the hint. But it's funnier if he has to say it out loud.)

IT'S TIME FOR THE ANNUAL DOGYDAYZ ART POST!! Sorry for being inactive here, for anyone interested, I have a Bsky I use far more often now (DogyDayz there too!). I mostly stepped away from Tumblr because I just felt like my work wasn't exactly meant for this platform, but Scourge being one of my favs who I have VERY specific ideas abt and interps of also contributed. I can't exactly help how particular I am about him (or Fiona), and being a system with both of them as headmates doesn't do much to help either, so I just decided to stick to my friend groups. BUT!!! Here I am to dump some art! If anyone cares at all, I've also gotten super into EXEs and Sonicpastas alongside MaxDesignPro, so if anyone wants to see that art let me know and maybe I'll get more active here!

Anyway, the Metal Sonic featured here belongs to @the_reaplet and is a part of our collaborative RP storyline! The guy who looks real messy with the head bandages is also my anti-Jules interp, who's unique from probably every other interp probably solely because he's not actually a bad person. That art is of him possessing his necromanced body, also part of that storyline with Salsa.

And, yes. My Fiona design has gold eyes. Because it looks better.

Some of the above is SO RIGHT. So in this response, please remember OP ( @cruxofitall )has banger analysis. I am kicking my feet, I love when you guys put on your thinking hats.

Tango still has a life after Jimmy. He does focus on how much he (and his family) sacrificed for him to go to school and use his big brain, and because of that he knows his purpose.

The thing here, is that Tango would willingly give up his friendships if it means Jimmy gets to keep them. He would continue with his life and keep his one friend (Zed) (and lets be honest, TIES are not letting Tango go. even Tango's worst case senario is impossible. His friends have big enough hearts to love both Tango and Jimmy), and his degree and keep going. He would survive after Jimmy.

Tango is used to making sacrifices. That's his thing. He gives up parts of himself so he can succeed. He doesn't play about his education. Even if he and Jimmy break up, he has his education. That's the only constant because it's one he built himself.

Also on this: Tango has shown in just these four chapters that Jimmy is different for him. Jimmy is something worth sacrificing for.

Tango's views about love stem from his parents. His parents and their perfect love story. His parents that value love just as much as other things in life.

There is a very high chance that Tango would throw everything away for Jimmy. The question, is if Jimmy would let him.

i am SO glad you asked! I can finally talk about this now that i've gotten some substantial work done on this massive project i've decided to undertake. here's a sneak peek!

this unreasonably sized project is called Dementophobia. It's a comic that details my very own specially written backstory for one Jonathan Crane. It takes from a couple different backstories in some places, and is original in others. I'm really excited for it and can't wait to get it out into the world.

The prologue should be coming out within the next few days, so keep your eyes peeled!!
