Bucky and Y/N’s friendship had been forged in the middle of chaos. She had joined the Avengers a couple of years ago—sharp, capable, with a heart too big for her own good. Unlike most people, she had never looked at him with fear or hesitation, never treated him like a walking weapon.

At first, Bucky had kept his distance. He was used to being on the outskirts, keeping people at arm’s length. But Y/N didn’t let that happen. She had a way of worming into people’s lives, into their hearts, without even trying.

She checked in on him without making a big deal about it—making sure he ate after long missions, dragging him into movie nights with the team, and bringing him coffee exactly the way he liked it. She talked to him like he was just Bucky, not the Winter Soldier, not Steve Rogers’ best friend from the 40s—just Bucky.

And somehow, without realizing it, she had become his best friend.

She was the one who could make him chuckle even on the worst days, the one he trusted with the pieces of himself he still didn’t fully understand. She was the one who saw him—not who he used to be, not who the world thought he was, but who he was actively trying to become.

And somewhere along the way, he had fallen for her.

He had tried to push it down, bury it deep where it couldn’t ruin everything. She deserved better than him. Deserved someone who didn’t come with blood on his hands and ghosts in his head. So he stayed silent, stayed in his place as her friend, even when it hurt more than he’d ever admit.

Because having her in his life—no matter what—was worth everything.

The compound was quiet. The kind of quiet that settled in after a mission, when exhaustion weighed too heavy on everyone’s bones to do anything but rest.

Bucky sat on the couch, head tipped back against the cushions, muscles aching from the fight earlier. He should get up, take a shower, maybe even crash in his own bed for once. But Y/N had dozed off beside him, legs tucked under her in a way that was bound to cause her slight pain when she woke up, curled up under a blanket, and he hadn’t moved since.

She looked peaceful, her face relaxed in sleep, her breathing steady with her lips parted. A strand of hair had fallen across her cheek, and Bucky had to resist the urge to brush it back. He clenched his metal hand into a fist instead.

He should leave. Should get up before he did something stupid—like say something he couldn’t take back.

But the weight of his feelings pressed against his ribs, suffocating in the silence.

“I don’t know when it happened,” he murmured, keeping his voice low. “Maybe it was always there. I just refused to let myself see it.”

Y/N didn’t stir. Bucky exhaled, he rested his head on the back of the couch and tilted it so his eyes lingered on her peaceful form.

“You take care of everyone, you know that? Always checking in, always making sure I’m eating, sleeping, not losing myself in my own head.” He huffed a whisper of a laugh. “You probably don’t even realize how much you really mean to me.”

His fingers curled against his thigh. He’d faced enemies, and fought battles most people couldn’t even imagine, but this—this was terrifying.

“I care about you, Y/N. More than I should. More than I know how to handle.” His voice was barely above a whisper now. He finally brought his hand up to tuck her hair behind her ear, his cold metal finger dragging across her soft, warm cheek. “But I don’t wanna mess this up. I’d rather have you as my friend than risk losing you completely. But I’ve fallen for you, Y/N. I’m–what did Parker call me?” he muttered to himself. “Down bad. I’m down bad, Y/N. I love you.”

He swallowed, his chest tightening.

“Guess it’s easier to say this when you’re asleep, huh?”

Silence.

Bucky let out a slow breath, shaking his head at himself. He should really get up, and put some space between them before—

“Bucky…”

His entire body went rigid.

Y/N’s voice was groggy, quiet, but there was something else in it too—something careful, something knowing. She lazily reached out and laced their fingers together, the metal bringing her comfort against her hand. She moved closer and softly laid her head on his shoulder.

“I love you too.”

His heart slammed against his ribs.

She had heard everything.

Bucky froze, barely breathing, as Y/N's words settled into his chest.

She loved him too.

For a moment, all he could do was stare down at their intertwined fingers, at the way she had instinctively sought out his touch like it was the most natural thing in the world. He had spent so long convincing himself that his feelings were one-sided, that loving her was something he had to keep buried. But here she was, curling closer, her heartbeat steady against his arm, as if loving him had never been a question.

A shaky breath left his lips.

“You—” He swallowed, shaking his head with a quiet, disbelieving laugh. “You heard all of that?”

Y/N hummed against his shoulder, her voice laced with exhaustion but warm with amusement. “Mhm. Every word.”

Bucky groaned, tipping his head back against the couch. “Great. So you heard me say I was ‘down bad’ too.”

She chuckled, squeezing his fingers. “Oh, definitely. That was my favorite part.”

He glanced down at her, and for the first time in a long, long time, he didn’t feel like running from what he wanted. She was right here, looking up at him with tired, fond eyes, no hesitation, no second-guessing.

Bucky let out a breathy laugh, shaking his head. “I really love you, Y/N.”

Her smile softened, and she shifted, pressing a gentle kiss against his shoulder. “Good,” she murmured. “Because I really love you too.”

He exhaled and the tension in his chest unraveled, replaced with something lighter, something hopeful. Slowly, carefully, he lifted their joined hands and pressed a lingering kiss to the back of hers, letting himself savor the warmth of her skin against his lips as he closed his eyes in contentment.

Y/N sighed blissfully, her grip on him tightening as she settled against him once more. “Can we talk more about this in the morning? ‘Cause I really just wanna fall asleep right here.”

Bucky chuckled, wrapping an arm around her, holding her close. “Yeah, doll. We can talk in the morning.”

And for the first time in years, tomorrow didn’t seem so scary—it felt like the start of something good.

thought i'd share my thought process for this fun lil piece / outfit in full display that i whipped out for beckory on valentines cuz i really had a lotta fun making it <3

OKAY first off, big thanks to @leaky-heart for helpin me gather some really cool outfit refs and for lending me resources where I can find a ref for bonnie's guitar in a 3d space. Thank you bestie, yar a life saver <3

Second, @/littleleaflings' jacket—goated af, will never stop gushin bout it aaaaAAA <3

Okay so looking at freddy & bonnie's designs—i am in love with how their dominant and accent colors are opposite of each other like a yin and yang situation. So i absolutely tried to incorporate that when rearranging the palette unto beckory's outfit

Fronnie's colors arent the only contrasting elements about them. Aside from their earrings, even their symbols are a pair—i love how freddy's is a lighting bolt but he is also associated with stars on the side cuz of his branding. While bonnie's is a star but he also has lightning bolts on the side (the purple accent in his fit) to match freddy

And to sprinkle a bit of beckory flair, i put stripe lines across their pants (if you look back on my ref sheet for the squad, the three amigos all have stripes somewhere in their fits, i purposely designed that to be their thing) just to also unify the patterns from their top

i gave tony a scarf to match greg's bow tie accessory. Its a combo homage to bonnie's headband and bunny ears in a way (cuz the ribbons on its ends look like droopy rabbit ears) i gave them gloves to compensate being unable to add punk bracelets on em cuz it would be too much for the overall look (same logic applies to the star shades, its to match with the top hat)

Also this was such a pure coincidence but i also realized beckory wears their fazwatches in the same placement as fronnie wears their earrings on. That actually makes me very happy, i think its a really cool coincidence

And as yall can see, Greg's jacket initially had stars on his sleeves (like it does in the ref), but i decided against putting it in the final cuz im startin to think it might look cluttered and hard to read from afar and tbh, I really liked how the translucent sleeves turned out... I didnt want the star pattern to cover it up lol

“Thank you for inviting me, Jimmy! And for the food!”

“No problem! Figured it was the least I could do after the flight here, um…so y/n your career has always been eventful but it's currently exploding right now and everyone’s talking about Y/N L/N and so I wanted to show you this photo and tell me if you remember how growing up in figure skating was” [shows a picture of younger y/n in her first competition]

“Oh….this was when I was 12, I had just started competing after begging my mother to sign me up for a skating academy for like a whole year [laughter]”

“Did you win this competition?”

“No [laughs] I got like fourth place and was convinced I wasn’t made out to be a skater and went home that night and cried the most i’ve ever cried I think”

“Wow, here’s you like what..six competitions later and look you’ve got a gold medal” {shows a different picture of her on the podium with a bright smile] [insert cheers and laughter] “I’m so happy for you, what did it feel like?”

“Um, well it felt like I was right all along, that my mom and coach were right and it just gave me a huge boost in confidence after that”

“And- I mean- look at you now two time olympic champion back to back, that is amazing- absolutely amazing. Uh- a little birdie told me that when you first signed with Team USA- um you were in a Chick-Fil-A drive thru when you got the call”

[laughter] “Um..yeah! I was actually at work- um, i worked in a chick-fil-a like ten minutes down the street from my house and I got the call from the recruiter and I was like “oh god, I can’t be on my phone at work but I have to take this…screw it” and i picked up the phone and if you ever watched the draft for the nba then it’s kind of like that, I remember I squealed and dropped to the floor as I accepted and I just could not shut up about it for the rest of the day”

[laughter] “yeah well that must’ve been an amazing feeling! To know your accomplishments have been recognized and that you were about to go to the big leagues”

“Oh yeah, I was riding on that high for like a week, it felt like- yeah- i did it. I mean, I felt like I kind of made it already when I won the rest of my competitions growing up but that call was the little cherry on top, you know? I was 18 years old at the time of the phone call, just out of high school but then it was like a massive dump where I was unsure of myself and if I really was that good. Hate really got to my heart during that time, I had already reviewed a large amount of misogyny that I had almost given up too many times to count”

“I had to push myself and remember why I was there, first and foremost my passion for the ice, and I wasn’t going to toss away my dream due to bigoted men around me. They wanted to see me fail and I wasn’t going to let them succeed”

“Beautifully said. I know recently a few fans have reacted poorly after the results of the most recent grand prix in Austria..how do you feel about that?”

“Well um, I get that they're mad, you know? No one wants to see a driver forced out of a race following a collision but again, I had nothing to do with that, you know? [laughter] Um..just because I’m dating Max does not give them that excuse but again, there will always be haters and so I do what I do best and ignore them the best I can; I know not everyone can respond maturely and things can be said in the heat of the moment so I try not to hold it against them”

“Right, well what are your plans for the future? Is another championship in the cards? Another career even? Maybe a more serious relationship outcome with Max?”

[laughter] “Um well figure skating is definitely the dream, you know, a lot of people will say I’m too old to be on the rink but frankly, there is no maximum age to figure skating, i’ll retire of course when I’m ready but um, that’s no time soon [laughter] um growing up I was really into psychology. Obviously as an athlete I know the importance of mental health and how it can truly affect your performance and career but I was obsessed growing up, probably from all the late night reruns of crime shows like law and order and 48 hours {laughter}’

“and um I don’t know about the last one, we haven’t really talked about anything like that, I think we both enjoy our lives together but i wouldn’t be opposed to any sort of change”

“Great! Well um, Max if your watching, there’s your sign right there [laughter] um…I googled you today to see what pops up and um..”

“Did you not know who I was beforehand?”

“No [laughter] no- i can do..I know all your poses and I can do it”

“Oh can you?”

“I can do it, no- no I just wanted to see what pops up and it says did you mean: ice queen or ice princess and I think that’s kind of fun, tell us about that”

“Um, I definitely didn’t do that- I guess someone at google loves me or something [laughter] but the nicknames ice queen or princess is from the 2018 Olympics when I won my first championship and that day I was wearing a white and silver costume that I was absolutely shivering in [laughter] but um- yeah, the judges and everyone liked it so much and I think the name came from one the judge's comments on my performance actually and everyone just ran with it and i liked it so much that I kept it [laughter]”

“Can I just tell everyone some of the stats you have right now, because wow. You are currently the highest paid figure skater at a net worth of 90 Million dollars. You are a 5 time US champion from 2011 to 2016 and 6 time World Champion from 2017 and 2023, you have countless endorsements with brands such as Disney, McDonald’s, Starbucks, Visa, Campbell’s Chevrolet, Coca-Cola, Kraft, and United Airlines. You’ve been given the James E. for the first time ever, you were about to go into public with your boyfriend, case. some may say it’s classed as a ‘hard launch’. no one really knows about your relationship, which the both of you agreed on, it was reassuring to know that the relationship was private and that you didn’t have to deal with people creating rumours and getting to simply avoid hate.

but, you realised the more you’d be spending time with each other people would soon catch on, so its best to just come out with it now.

as you stood in front of the mirror, admiring the dress you had chosen for tonight. it was a beautiful black fitted dress, with an open back and a slit down the side, you looked absolutely gorgeous. you had paired it with some black chunky heels, case had bought you for your anniversary one of the years.

to complete the look, you slipped on some jewellery, rings, bracelets and necklaces. you had hoped you weren’t TOO overdressed, but at the end of the day..this was the streamy awards.

“hey hone- woah..” you heard next to you, turning your head to the bedroom door, you saw case. he was wearing some smart trousers and a simple black button up. it was unusual to see him wearing something to smart, but god he pulled it off.

his curls were probably cared for and styled, thanks to you, and his beard had been cleaned up a little and blessed with oils and cream.

“you look beautiful!” he exclaimed as he walked over to you, placing his hand on the small of your back and looking down at you. keeping his eyes at a respectful level.

“you don’t think i’m too overdressed?” you asked, a little uncertainly laced your voice.

case frowned at you “overdressed? absolutely not. you look perfect, like you always do” and with that he pressed a small kiss to your temple.

“now let’s go before i change my mind and take a nap” he spoke as he booked us and uber to the venue. he was adamant on taking his truck, but you knew the both of you would have a drink or two and drink driving is, in fact, illegal.

on the way there case noticed the way your knee bounced, and the way you chewed your lip. he placed his hand on your knee and squeezed it gently.

“hey, don’t be stressing yourself out lovie. it’s no biggie, if people have stuff to say then, let them say what they want. their feelings and opinions won’t change the way i feel about you baby” you softly smiled at him, you knew case loved you dearly and he was right, no matter what anyone said, this man loved you unconditionally.

“thank you, im just nervous that people won’t like me too much…” you admitted, he nodded a long as you spoke.

“i know i know, but let them think what they want. it won’t change anythin’ , you are a beautiful woman with an even more wonderful personality. plus, you are stressin’ over something which won’t even happen. they are gonna love you”

before responding you had arrived at the venue, he stepped out the car and came to your door, he opened it and took you by the hand. you flashed him a generous smile and wrapped your hand around his bicep.

“just show em that pretty smile baby” he spoke as you both walked into the main lobby.

the rest of the evening was extremely nerve wracking for you, but case was right. everyone who spoke to you LOVED you, you were a delight to be around, not only that but people saw how much you genuinely cared for case.

case adored the way you effortlessly made conversation with people no matter how nervous you were, he loved the way you looked in the light, he loved the way you smiled, he loved how you’d glance at him every so often to make sure he was okay. he just, loved you.

and, god, he was glad he was here with you. the impression you left on everyone was nothing but good.

once again, case was right.

Dokucha paid no mind to the goodbyes the swordsman threw their way, their eyes focused on the younger commanders and their bandage-covered body

“Thatch-nii, Ace-nii!” they exclaimed running towards them over.

“Are you okay?!” they asked, fussing over them and examining their bandaged limbs.

“Marco-nii! Can’t you make them all better?!”

“Don’t worry about them, Dokucha; they are okay; some wounds just need to run their course to make sure that we learn from them, isn’t that right-yoi?” Marco called, putting a hand on the shoulder of each man as he stood between them

“Regardless, we are not here because of that-yoi,” He called, cutting off their words as he gave the two commanders a slight push toward the child

Ace looks back at the Phoenix, a scowl on his face at the action, receiving a smug look in return.

“Listen, Dokucha. Those words you were saying earlier?” Thatch began

“Like fuck and hell?” They questioned, a small tilt of their head as they asked

“Yes, th- don’t say them!” Ace exclaimed, scolding the child

“But brother, you say it all the time, Ace-nii!”

“Yes, but I’m older. I can say what I want,” he countered, only to suddenly wince as Marco hit him upside the head at the comment; he glared at the man again but wisely kept quiet as Thatch tried to fix his mistake in a way that would not get both him and the flame-user in another round of punishment from either pops or the phoenix himself.

“We do say them Dokucha, but it’s a mistake, alright? We shouldn’t have said em when ya were with us.”

“Oh, so I can tell them when you guys are not there?”

A drop of sweat fell on Thatch’s forehead as he felt the menacing glare from the first mate behind him as he hurriedly tried to fix his mistake

“No, we shouldn’ be sayin those words anytime, we have to work on it too. We can’t say them words either, alright, sweetpea?”

“But how will I know if it’s a no-no word?” they whined

“Let’s do this, if you hear someone hear the word and you don’t know what it means how about you come to ask us what it means? We can help you tell which ones are no good words,” Ace piped in

“Okay!” They cheered, their mood falling for a moment as they remembered something

“Umm, am I in trouble?”

“No.” this time, it was Marco himself who spoke up as he addressed the child

“Given that you weren’t aware of what the words meant and it was these knucklehead's fault, you are not in trouble-yoi.”

“Does this mean I can go play?”

“Yes-yoi”

“Thank the fucking sea,” Ace muttered as he, too, started leaving the crow’s nest

“Well, I will be in tha kitchen if ya’ll need me; I need to prepare for lunch,” Thatch

“I need to go do some maintenance on the Strider, so if you need me, I will be there.”

“Hey, Marco-nii, can you fucking play with me then?”

The three men pause at their words, an ominous aura leaving the oldest as he put a heavy hand on the younger commander’s shoulder a, heavy pressure falling on him

“Dokucha, that is a no-no word, alright? Now, how about you stay with Thatch? Help him prepare lunch yes-yoi? He said, dragging Ace with him as they left the Crow’s nest

“Uh, Thatch-nii, where are they going?” Dokucha questioned as they popped their head over the ledge to watch as Marco continued dragging Ace away

“Don' worry, they just going to have a chat with pops if I have to guess,” He said as he joined the child in looking at the two

“Oh, I want to go see Papaw. Can I go to?”

“Trust me, ya will want to sit this one out.”

A week had passed since the whole kick-back fiasco, and MIKEY had gone awol. Aki was over the moon about it, for obvious reasons; as far as he was concerned, he scared him off. Besides, the less you hung around the delinquent, the better for both of you.

“That guy’s just a nuisance, babe. Good riddance.”

Little did he know, this was a regular occurrence. Mikey always did this—Disappeared for days on end, only to pop right back up like he never left. Whether it be due to gang related issues, or because he felt like it, this frustrating habit was one of the reasons you invited him that night, despite knowing he’d pick a fight with Aki. You had missed him…in more ways than one. You knew it was only a matter of time before he came back to you.

And in the wee hours of the night, not far after said boyfriend left your place, you received a lone message from the former blonde himself.

Mikey was your drug of choice, and tonight you craved another fix.

Even if you tried to play coy, to salvage whatever weak moral you had left, it didn’t matter—The only one you were fooling tonight was Aki.

“J-Jiro..! Ahplease!” You sobbed, your knees practically knocking upside your temples as he increased momentum. Mikey snickered, angling his hips to continue ramming the spot that made your eyes cross, moans reaching octaves you didn’t even know you could hit.

“Mm, been feening for this dick, huh? Yeah? Maybe we should call up that smug bastard, let ‘em see how such good friends we are, right [______]? Bet he was real proud thinkin’ he got me to fuck off…but we both know who you really belong to. Don’t we?”

He wasn’t sorry. That’s the short end of it.

The moment Takeru decided to act all big and bad, breaking stuff in a place where he paid no bills, it was in DRAKEN’s right to set him straight; mama may not have raised him, but he still ain’t no bitch.

It took some coaxing on your end, but you were able to reel Draken back from turning your boyfriend inside out. But, after he forced him to pick up every broken piece of the lamp, he told Takeru to choose a number between one and ten.

“…Why?” Was his response. Draken raised a brow.

“That’s how many shards I’m gonna shove up your nose.”

“Ken!”

The look on the shorter male’s face was worth it, earning a threatening smirk from the mechanic as he slapped a heavy hand on his shoulder. “Ahh, y’look like you were about to shit yourself, man! Nah, I’m not gonna hurt you.”

For a moment, there’s relief in your boyfriend’s eyes. It was short-lived, of course. Especially once Draken’s grip tightened around his shoulder. “But I will. Merely rolling your eyes, you headed for the small broom and dustpan in your closet to gather what little pieces Takeru left behind–Might as well busy yourself to delay addressing the elephant still in the room. Unfortunately, said elephant wasn’t about to let that happen. Taking off the sweats you threw on in haste earlier, you continued. “You said, and I quote, ‘Talk shit, get hit,’ then fell asleep on the couch while I had to haul Makoto to the emergency room!”

Baji shuffled his feet, “…Well, I meant to say it. Jus' forgot.”

You scoffed, walking into your bathroom. "What are you even still doing here? Don't you have someone else's day to shit on?”

“Y’kicking me out now?” He teased, raising a brow. What he didn't expect was for you to start throwing your toiletries at him. Although his reflexes saved him for the most part, Baji still got hit a few times as he attempted to dodge between a shampoo bottle and mouthwash. "Whoa! Hey-!"

“Maybe I should! Do you have any idea how hard it was to get him in and out of my car with all that dead weight, let alone into the building? Not to mention, his emergency contacts were his uppity-ass parents, so after they chewed me out, I had to lie and say he saved me from getting mugged.”

“...They buy it?”

You tilted your head, exasperated. "Wow. And here I thought the next thing out of your mouth would be that apology you 'forgot' to say earlier…[Sigh] Whatever. You just better hope when Makoto wakes up he doesn't remember anything, or else we're both in deep shit."

“Tsk. The fuck’s he gonna do?”

“He could literally sue us.” You deadpanned.

“He’s a pussy, he wouldn’t be stupid enough to try me again. And if he gives you any shit for it, you let me know. I’ll take care of it.”

“Oh, you mean like how you did today? Pass.”

He groaned, “I said sorry!”

“No you didn’t! And still haven’t!”

At the moment, it felt like the conversation would just continue in circles. With Baji stubbornly claiming he was in the right, and you combating his warped logic with colorful language and more stuff thrown at him, it's a wonder how things ended up here–With your face pressed against the cold shower wall as he gave you his fucking apology.

Over, and over, and over again.

While one hand wrapped around the column of your throat, fingers shoved knuckle-deep into your mouth to pacify the excessive whines tumbling out, the other made use of gripping the meat of your thigh, giving you no chance of running from the punishing thwap of his hips ramming against your wet ass-cheeks. The water cascading over your bodies had long turned cold as Baji chased after orgasm number five, his muscles ached from the strain, but he'd be damned to stop until he was certain all was forgiven.

Even if it meant missing every single one of Makoto's phone calls.

“God, I am so, so sorry, Takashi. Can’t believe he just…I-I’ve never seen him act like that before. Does it hurt?”

Evidently, he allowed his fists to do the talking.

You groaned, rubbing down your face in distress. “We’ll probably never get to set foot in that restaurant again...’m so embarrassed.”

“Hey,” he softly reprimanded, “Don’t sweat it, t’s not your fault-”

“I’m the one who begged you to let him come with us in the first place. I mean, I know you two butt heads from time to time, but I didn’t think it’d ever turn that serious. Please, Taka, just tell me what happened.”

Mitsuya shook his head, about to lower the ice pack until you shot him a pointed look. With a small exhale through his nose, he kept it on his jaw while he spoke. “I told you, he was probably pissed he couldn’t get a free meal outta me-”

“Don’t bullshit me, Haji wouldn’t explode like that over a fucking chicken sandwich.” You huffed, frustrated at his evasive behavior. He was holding back information on purpose, you were certain. Ever since the fitting, he'd been acting weird all evening. And that fight only solidified your suspicions. “Just tell me what started it!”

"Doesn’t matter."

"Taka-"

"Let it go, [______]." He laid back on your couch and made himself comfortable, even so much as turning on your tv to fill over the dead conversation. Mitsuya trained his eyes on the lit-up screen, still icing his jaw as he subtly avoided eye contact.

You could just scream.

Childishly, you snatched the remote from his hand and switched it back off. The lavender haired threw his head back in defeat, the hand holding the ice pack slowly coming down as Mitsuya eyed you from his peripheral; so stubborn.

“Be honest. It was about me again, wasn’t it?” His silence spoke volumes. “So it was then. Ugh, okay listen, I get that you’re both really protective of me, I do, but that doesn’t excuse-”

“I’m in love with you.”

You choked. Though, only on your words.

With that now hanging up in the air, you gaped like a damn goldfish, the remote slipping out your grasp and clambering to the floor with a clack. Mitsuya exhaled; no turning back now. “You…huh?”

“Yep. Have been for a while, actually.” He placed his arms behind the couch, wry smirk on his face. “Planned to tell you over dinner tonight, but that backfired fast, no thanks to that walking steroid you call a boyfriend.”

“Y-…You’re messing with me. Right?” The designer offered a humorless laugh, gesturing to his split lip and bruised jaw.

“Didn’t get hit for saying what a great pal you were, [______].”

Now it was your turn to be silent. A lump began to form in your throat, overwhelmed with the newfound information, borderline confession.

“So then…what did you say to Haji to make him so angry?”

For a split second, you saw a glint within his pools of amethyst as they slowly rendered to a deep violet. Staring at you from beneath his pretty lashes, Mitsuya resembled that of a starved animal on the verge of cornering its prey, causing a sudden warmth to envelop you as you squirmed under his heady gaze.

Sitting up a little, he merely beckoned you to his empty lap. You blinked widely at him, sputtering as you tried to protest the idea. But, what he said next played into your curiosity.

“C’mere, and I’ll show you.”

You blinked at him, uncertain; he made no move to rush you. If you were against the idea, you were more than welcome to decline and tell him to shove it. However, when you eventually crawled into the awaiting throne, settling all your weight on top of him to the point he couldn’t keep from groaning shamelessly, Mitsuya was fucking elated.

You gripped his shirt at the shoulders, sporting that signature pout you’d do whenever you wanted something from him—The designer was more than ready to give it to you. All you had to do was say so.

“Hajime’s gonna kill you if he finds out, though. Don’t want you getting hurt again because of me…”

Mitsuya chuckled, hands slowly rubbing up your thighs until they settled on your hips. “Don’t worry about it, sweet thing. He may have gotten two hits on me today, but all I need is one tomorrow.”

I’m sick so why not talk about what happens if the farmers get sick

Both of em sick? not much gets done on the farm feeding the animals is a must and watering plants is also needed so not much happening there and they both just force each other to stay in bed(I thought of sick cuddle pile because of the idea of them not letting each other get up-)

One of them? A lot of stuff gets done depending on who is sick femm is sick? Masc locks her in her own house/bedroom and does his best on farm stuff. masc is sick? Femm forces him to drink/eat medicine wether he likes it or not. It will be put in food like he’s a dog and honestly most tasks get done since masc is a lazy dude normally.

I was sick not too long ago, sadly the inspiration for the farmers not taking care of themselves when they're sick is me 😅 (pro tip: don't try to walk it off)

worse is that my nose has begun to get runny so I might be getting sick AGAIN... :')

Both of them don't really know how to handle a sick person. Femm farmer is a little better at it but not by much since they rarely get sick.

If Femm is sick... Mask will combine a bunch of foods he can find or forage into a soup to get her to heal faster. Good thing both of them can eat pretty much everything! doesn't mean they'll like it though.

If Mask is sick...he will do everything in his power to escape. Locking the house is not enough. Mask hates wasting time in bed so he's actually quite the opposite of lazy, he's just not a fan of farming or socializing. Similar to Mask, Femm will try to give them all the medicine she has to get him better faster!

If they're both sick... yeah, nothing is getting done. They'll be too busy fighting each other on how to get better faster in the house and eventually... it's off to the clinic!

Maru is horrified by both of their methods.

Hey it's tuesday again by the way! And this time I am not sorry for bugging you unless you already did it and I just didn't find the post

YOU THREE. I adore you. I gotta be honest I was in SUCH a slump I was NOT feelin tidbit Tuesday today. but yall are so sweet for wantin to read my nonsense I pulled my ass up by my boot straps n cranked out a lil micro fic for yall. absolutely love yall 💕🧡

The porch door slams closed hard enough to make Darry jump. Though maybe that ain't sayin' much. His nerves worn down 'n shot through. Nowadays, the echoin' note of Two's unexpected laugh is enough to make him flinch. Or the absence of things he's used to. (The laundry basket is lighter now. He's never gonna get used to that feelin'.)

Pony stalks in, shoulders already drawn up 'round his ears. It doesn't take a second look for Darry to guess the way the night'll go. He kicks off his boots haphazardly in the middle of the kitchen, doesn't bother to push them against the wall.

His eyes slide up 'n over Darry once. Just enough to know it passes over his nerves, presses lightly against 'em. The kid is askin' for somethin'. A fight. An argument. To be told off. God knows. Much less Darry. He's too tired for that. He always is. Since. Well.

"Hi Pony." Soda calls through the doorway, glancin' off the TV playin' some rerun movie. He's got his knees all pulled up into his chest, head laid down on 'em. Soda's quieter. Since.

"Hiya, Soda." He's not lettin' it get to him. He ain't. The kids in a foul mood. He's obliged to 'em now 'n then. It's fine. He wants to pretend Darry ain't there? That's fine.

"You get your test grade back, Pone?" He hopes the nickname will settle the kid's hackles. Soften the question. He doesn't want a fight. He doesn't have the energy.

Pony turns hard on his heel. Narrows his eyes hard, feelin' out for an attack. He scowls, dives a hand down into his bag 'n all but throws the test on the table.

A D. Minus. The aggravation pricks hard against Darry's skin. He needs to try harder. Or at all. He should have passed this. Easy. He knew the answers.

"Pony. Why-"

"What? What do you want me to say? I'm sorry? I ain't. I failed. I don't care." Darry should have expected it. He really should have. But the sudden lash of words catches him hard off guard. The familiar anger rises quickly. Like an old wound.

"You just never seem to use your fuckin'-" Darry cuts himself off. Glances through the open doorway to Soda. He's got his back all drawn up ramrod straight, pulled taut like a puppet on a string, head swiveled just enough that they can pretend he's actually payin' attention to the beach flick 'n not every careful word of the gearin' up argument in the kitchen.

"What?" Pony snaps his jaw once, impatiently. He's ready for a fight. Has been all afternoon. Patiently pushin' 'n pluckin' on Darry's last nerve 'til he snaps.

No. He isn't doin' it on purpose. He isn't. He's fourteen. 'N he's upset. Darry heaves in a deep breath through his nose. Pushes it back out slowly. Soda nods. Doesn't tear his eyes away from the tube. Tries to encourage him without steppin' in. 'Cause nothin' will make Pony snap like thinkin' Soda ain't on his side.

Pony opens his mouth again, snaps it shut. He picked that up from Dallas. Tumbles through his brain in a rush 'n he feels suddenly sick to his stomach.

"C'mon Darry. You wanna tell me somethin'? That I don't use my head? I never use my head enough for you. Nothin' I do makes you happy."

"Pony." Soda whips his head around, snaps. For a moment Pony backs down, looks past Darry 'n into the pleadin' eyes of his older brother. They weren't s'pposed to fight no more. For Soda. For all of 'em. 'Cause they had so little left.

"But-"

"Ponyboy." It falls out of his mouth harsher than he means it to. 'Cause Darry was always rough without meanin' to be. But he's sick of the kid wheedlin'.

"What? You wanna holler at me? What is it this time? Walkin' home alone? Not gettin' perfect grades?" He rounds on Darry with anger so sudden 'n sharp Darry could put a hand out 'n touch it. When had his little brother gotten so fuckin' angry? Did he do that?

"Pony." Soda half rises, a warnin' note low in his voice. But it falls on deaf ears. Pony's fists curl up 'n he takes a half step toward Darry, drawin' himself up on every inch he has.

"What? Tell me what to do to make you happy, Darry. Oh. I know. Get over it. Buck up. Just pretend nothin' happened like you?"

"Pony." The name comes out half strangled in Darry's mouth. 'Cause he did do that. He upset his baby brother. He always upset him.

"I bet you wish it had been me. Huh. I bet you wish it had been me instead of Dal or Johnny. I bet you sit up prayin it had been me." 'N the second the words are out of his mouth Pony's teeth clash back together, hands risin' to his lips like he could pull them from the air 'n shove them back down his throat.

Soda's shot from the couch at some point, hovers in the doorway, minute tremors that runs from his shoulders down his arms, rattle down his wrists. "Ponyboy."

But his name is swallowed up 'n swallowed down 'cause Darry don't holler. Don't shout. Takes a single step back 'n crashes straight down to the tile. There's a scuff by his knee. Dallas' too big boots. The scar in the grout from the chair Johnny used to occupy. The sound of Pony's voice in waves wish it'd been me, wish it'd been me, wish it'd been me.

"Darry?" Pony sinks down to his knees, Soda straight alongside him. There are hands on Darry's shoulders but he don't notice them, too busy pressin' palms to his eyes 'til stars explode across his vision. He can't cry. He fuckin' can't. Pony needs him to be strong. Pony needs him-

He doesn't. The force of it strangles off his breath. Chokes 'til he gasps for air 'n forgiveness 'n the power to change it all.

"Darry please." Soda's wrapped all around him. He can't do this to Soda. Pony might not need him but God Soda didn't deserve for him to fall to fuckin' pieces like this.

"I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I don't know what to do anymore. I can't just- I don't-"

"Shhh, Darry. Shh. C'mon. Desperate hands runnin' up 'n down his spine but when he looks up he knows his eyes are red rimmed 'n wild.

Pony. His fingers diggin' vainly, scrabblin' against the linoliem. Stock still like a doe. His brows knit together, his lips move but don't say nothin'. A faint noise. Somewhere strangled deep in his throat. He sounds so, god. So young. Where had the time gone? Could he go back? What can he give? To go back?

"I love you. God kid I love you. I don't know what to do." 'N then he's rockin' back with the force of Pony hittin' his chest, curlin' into his arms 'n the memory of that kid that begged Darry to read him to sleep 'n who buried his head in Darry's neck when he skinned his knee is still there. "I'm sorry, kiddo. I'm sorry. I'm sorry I'm sorry-"

"No." His fingers knot in Darry's shirt 'n he presses his face so hard into Darry's neck Darry can feel his eyes as they flutter, the tears hot down his cheeks. "I'm sorry."

"I know." 'N then he's got Soda scooped up in his arms too, both his kid brothers pressed close 'n it hurts. God. Maybe it never stops hurtin'. Maybe they'll have the same argument a thousand times. Maybe tomorrow or next week or next month they will snipe at each other again. There will always be some failed test. Some shoe left in the doorway.

Maybe Darry 'n Pony will always be a lil' too alike to not fight. But he holds them close tonight. 'N makes sure they know.

"I love you. Both. I'm sorry."

So, first of all let me say, I did not enjoy this issue as much as I’ve enjoyed the rest of the content Mr watters has provided us. But I think that’s more based on my prior expectations and hopes rather than the writing style.

So if yall are alright with spoilers please read on but there will be comic panels

Dick tells him a story from the circus/the Nightwing story/ the story of him becoming Nightwing. Damian leaves determined to forge a new path. COME ON GIVE THE SIBLINGS TO MEE

Dixons run and the sum total of titans runs are canon here! Dick leading the league x2 is canon right now? And more or less common information.

Dick is an individual where it makes sense to take his word at face value like? This is the ear Superman goes to, the dude Batman bounces plans off of. The leagues final stand leader?

Not trusting him? Even in the context of the world doesn’t make sense?? Especially since chemo is now canon (aka Dick Grayson running through an irradiated city trying to save anyone while slowly dying until Clark drags him out) like?? You know he’s smart? You know he’s skilled, you know he’s usually right?? And most importantly?? You know he’d rather burn himself alive than be the reason for a death. Nono not just that? He’d run through radiation on the OFF chance he might see someone still alive enough that they might make out. 99 to 1 odds and he’s game.

Just flat out ignoring the guy? Makes the character seem arrogant rather than overly cautious and not good with trust. Like you believe YOU? A civilian, knows more about the underworld? The dude with the redhood on speed dial?

You understand more about this situation than one of the world’s smartest people? Okay…sure

Like I get you met him post lobotomy and he’s only recently regained his faculties BAs come on???

I have no evidence for this but I am 100% calling this a Sitka/Eleanor reference and everyone who disagrees can go choke
