Role: powerful CEO of Sapporo-based arms company Rachi Heavy Industries. Has ties with yakuza, but more or less a reputable businessman.

Likely first/quick impression: smiling, sharply dressed businessman.

More detailed impression: very strong jawline, short wavy black hair, gregarious and friendly—in a way acts more American than Japanese. Expressive hands.

Likely scenarios: being polite to service workers/giving good tips, schmoozing with powerful people, speaking foreign languages, getting very intoxicated at clubs or parties, (rarely) serial killing a homeless person or someone else 'no one will miss.'

Canon relationships: friends with Sagawa and Andre Richardson. Close professional relationship with Kitakata Daizo. Ties with Jingweon before the massacre. got the official gk fanbook today which included an elaborate relationship chart. here are some of the relationship labels i translated through brute force: between kadokura and kirawus is "odd couple", from usami to tsurumi is "worship/adoration", between tsurumi and edogai is "collaboration", from nihei to tanigaki is "show us(?) the way", between the gay yakuza who i dont feel like looking up the names of is "couple/partnership", from kikuta to usami is "disbelief", from kirokanke to wilk is "farewell/separation", from ienaga to ushiyama is "lifesaver", and from kadokura to hijikata is "serves" but which could also be translated to "exhausts/run out". theres also a page in this book that is dedicated to showing the before and after of them drawing more chest hair on tanigaki. great stuff

Also I do this every beginning of the year for sport. I do not care if people actually attempt it but it's always funny when someone tries and is like, "I tried, boss, no bingo"

I make edits every year replacing a character but it gets so much more difficult with each passing year. I was going to add a character or 2 from Monster but I just couldn't get myself to replace anyone else.

Also, there's a lot of guys because I am very picky about how women are written and often times the guys are the main focus of whatever it is that i'm dabbling in.

I considered replacing Akiyama with Yamai from Y8 because Yamai is complex. Akiyama is compelling but he's just a character they can't do anything with anymore in the series. Like his presence in Y8 pissed me off because the way he behaved was so unbelievably out of character. Both characters have compelling stories in their own regards but obviously Yamai has so much more to his story than Akiyama does. Yamai was such a cool character, he was the only new character in that game that was actually COOL. Also, I won't blab about it but Y8 was such a trash game so don't take me praising Yamai as a sign of me thinking that 8 was a good game LMAO.
