Pachamama, I'm comin' home... Honoring the ebb as much as the flow. Loving the shadows as much as the light. Extending my heart out to the Divine, digging deeper to the core of who I am, even if right now the answer is extremely simple and doesn't feel fully formed. I am learning. I honor where I am. I love where I am! Where I am is more than enough. I am so grateful for this beautiful life, and being on these waters with family and friends during my moontime and during the 1 year anniversary of my Grandfather's passing. Bless these sacred waters and the currents on which we ride & flow. #mniwiconi #waterislife #pachamama #ebbandflow #yakusagrada #sacredwater #grandfather #ancestors #ancestars #lakearrowhead #summer2017 #paddleboarding #moontime #sacredwoman #shadow #radicallove #divinelove

On the giant moat surrounding Angkor Thom... this is just one of the four sides. _ I am blown away by how much went into building these temples. Between 3,000-4,000 elephants were utilized in building Angkor Wat which is a startlingly huge compound. They would drill holes in stone and drive wooden poles through them, then tying on ropes to have elephants pull them, sometimes rolling on logs. The moats were all hand-dug, and each and every piece of stone was hand-carved by thousands of artisans with incredible expertise. _ Interestingly, they used slave labor, including the Java people who they defeated in battle. It is such a difficult paradigm to understand how Buddhist temples can be built by slaves when the religion is about loving kindness, compassion, empathy, and equality. There are still millions and millions of slaves TODAY in every country, even though it's illegal everywhere. To learn more and help, go to FreeTheSlaves.net ~ an organization I've been passionate about and donating to since I was 16 when I started my first business specifically so that I could donate and make a difference! _ There is much to learn and a long way for us to go in our humanity and our actions. Take a moment to educate yourself, give thanks for the places you can celebrate freedom, and consider helping others become emancipated at FreeTheSlaves.net 🙏🏻 _ #freetheslaves #activism #nonprofit #philanthropy #makeadifference #slavelabor #cambodia #angkorwat #elephants #sunset #siemreap #gorgeoussunset #sacredwater #yakusagrada #humanity #buddhism #ancienthistory #temples #ruins #monastery
