love your work, especially "the eternity game" fic. can i request a somewhat continuation of it where the reader finally guessed the name right so the trio made her finally get the release she wanted but they didn't stop ripping orgasm after orgasm until the reader passed out.
The Eternity Game (Yae, Sara, Baal) PART TWO
𝗔/𝗡: 𝗶𝘁'𝘀 𝗯𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝗮 𝘄𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗲 𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗶'𝘃𝗲 𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗹𝗼𝗹
𝗪𝗔𝗥𝗡𝗜𝗡𝗚: 𝘀𝗺𝘂𝘁!! 𝗴𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗽 𝘀𝗲𝘅, 𝗼𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝘀𝗲𝘅 (𝗳𝗲𝗺 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗲𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴), 𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴, 𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗺𝘂𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻
𝗣𝗮𝗿𝘁: 𝗼𝗻𝗲 || 𝘁𝘄𝗼
𝙒𝙖𝙣𝙩 𝙩𝙤 𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙙 𝙢𝙤𝙧𝙚? ⇒ 𝙈𝙖𝙨𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙡𝙞𝙨𝙩
𝙟𝙤𝙞𝙣 𝙢𝙮 𝙙𝙞𝙨𝙘𝙤𝙧𝙙 𝙨𝙚𝙧𝙫𝙚𝙧?
𝙗𝙪𝙮 𝙢𝙚 𝙖 𝙘𝙤𝙛𝙛𝙚𝙚?
You don’t remember which name you said.
Your body was spent and the blindfold still wrapped around your head made it so very hard to ground yourself. Your muscles were tight and aching from your constant squirming and thrashing as your hips would always try to race away from whoever had their face buried in your lower lips. Your arms felt heavy from being tied up and suspended in various positions for so, very long. And your voice was just barely left after what must have nearly honors of you moaning and whining and whimpering and nearly screaming while under the care of your Archon and her allies. So it must have been very clear to everyone that at this point, your mind was just nearly gone. You couldn’t think further than the identities of the three women in the room with you and just how mind-numbing this pleasure can truly be after going round after round.
But that’s what they wanted to see. That’s the type of show they wanted to take part in. The type of show they wanted you to perform. To see you all bothered and whiny and wet and overstimulated, and to continue making you bothered and whiny and wet and overstimulated time after time. Until you’ve won the game. Or until your body truly couldn’t take any more of it.
So when you were suddenly told by your Archon to give a guess at the name- any name, really- of which of the two women were currently face down into your pussy with their lips wrapped around your overly sensitive clit and their tongue occasionally trying to squeeze its way into your wet, messy hole, you just the first one you could think of.
But whichever one it was, it must have been right.
Because a second later, everything stopped. And then, your Archon spoke.
“Well done, my little one,” She cooed at you. And even in your utterly exhausted state of mind, you still found it in you to mewl at her words, relishing in the praise you received. “You did it, sweetheart. I’m so proud of you.”
You wiggled against your restraints. You told your Archon how thankful you were to be in her good graces. How thankful you were to be hers. At the same time, the pair of hands that had been fondling your breasts and pinching at your hardened nipples back away with a single sweet and a swat to one of your breasts. And the mouth that had been attached to your poor, poor abused pussy disappeared with one more sweet kiss to your clit. A sign that you’ve survived another game. A sign that you’ll live to play another day. But a sign that things have finally come to a close.
“We had to keep going for a while there,” The familiar teasing drawl of Yae Miko makes its way into your ears as you hear movement around the bed you’re currently on. It both sounds and feels like she has climbed to get a bit closer to you. In an attempt to signal to her, you try to turn to the sound and push your bound wrists in her direction. You, Archon, were still holding you in her lap, her hands hooked beneath your thighs in a comprising position. There wasn’t much she could do for you at the moment, but perhaps the Guuji would be the one to free you. Though unfortunately for you, she seemed to pay your wrists or the silk rope binding them together no mind. It seemed her mind was more in favor of taking one of her long, long nails and dragging them up the skin of your inner thigh just to get you squirming again. “I’m almost convinced you were guessing wrong on purpose.”
You didn’t like the voice she used for her accusation. It makes you whimper. It makes you feel shameful. So you shook your head the best you could and murmured out a “No, no, no!” as your voice was too spent to say or form anything more coherent.
“I think she was,” Kujou Sara piped in after a moment, once Yae Miko’s laughter at your insistence had died down. The tone the Tengu used was more thoughtful. More analytical of the situation. You heard her voice get closer to you as she adjusted her own position on the bed, and reached a hand out to touch your skin. Her touch wasn’t as teasing as the Guuji’s, but the feeling of her hand smoothing over your stomach in an almost possessive matter that you know would have gotten almost any other person in the world in trouble did have you feeling the sort of flighty butterflies inside your body that make it hard for you to think. But as soft as her touch was, the Tengu’s next words bit at you with the type of force that has you growing upset all over again. “I’ve nearly seen her move so sluttily before. She was enjoying herself so thoroughly this around.”
You let another whine at her degradation- the loudest one you’ve managed so far. But your Archon hushes you almost instantly with a warning pat to your thighs.
“Shh, it’s alright little one. You don’t have to be ashamed. We know the truth.” The Raiden Shogun whispers into your ear. It’s followed by more dirty words from her. Words about how she noticed the way you were moving your hips so greedily for their allies. Words about how you were always just so wet and ready for whatever tongue was tongue was lapping at your precious lower lips. And you hated it. You hated it so much because as she spoke to you more- as she spoke to you in more, and more detail- you felt your body grow warm and lonely once more. You felt like you needed the very touch she was describing, despite how exhausted you felt now. But how could you forget who you were dealing with? How could you forget that this was something she planned. How could you forget… “Now girls. I believe this break has gone on for long enough. It’s time she gets her reward.”
…that this was all part of the game.
As soon as you heard the word reward being purred into your ear while being directed to the other two women in the room, you felt your blood freeze. It was like a bucket of cold, cold water was dumped onto your body. A shock to your system to make you realize that you had forgotten the second part of the game you were playing.
The fact that once you win- once you figure out the person who was spending all that time contributing to your overstimulated bouts of pleasure and making your body shake and quiver into the mess you currently are? They allow you to cum. They get to make you cum.
If this were earlier, you would have been so excited. You would have been shaking in anticipation, unable to hold in the fact that you wanted, no- NEEDED- to cum so, so, so very badly and you were finally going to get the orgasm you were so desperate for.
But you’ve passed that point a long, long time ago.
Because instantly your feel one of them climb up and reach over your body to wrap their lips around your clit again while someone else reached out and squeezed two fingers inside of your pussy and pumped them in and out and in and out and in and out. Like you weren’t just some girl being pleased and pleasured by another. Like you were truly and utterly the mindless toy they treat and see you as in this moment.
And surprisingly, it’s exactly what you needed.
Who’s lips, was it? Who’s fingers was it? You don’t know. You don’t care. All you know is that almost instantly, the orgasm you had been holding in for so, so, so very comes washing over your poor battered, and beaten body like a tidal wave. The moan you voice out is just as loud and intense and as long as your orgasm. Perhaps even longer.
But as you ride out that wave of pleasure, and finally get the relief through the release that had been put off so long, your body grows even more weary than it was before. That exhaustion- it had truly seeped into you at this point. Because your voice dies down as soon as you stop seeing white. And all your weight comes crashing down on the Raiden Shogun as she continues to support your form. And you feel happy. So, so happy. Because you’ve finally won. You finally received the reward. You finally beat the game. You’ve best your Archon. You’ve best her allies. You’ve bested Eternity. But…
“Wait, what you-? I- I already came! Why are you-?”
They haven’t stopped pleasing you yet.
You should have realized it from the beginning. You should have realized it from the very moment your orgasm started. Because never once did they slow down. Because they seemed so eager. So much more calculated. So much more cruel.
And so another orgasm passes. Your second one of this particular moment, but perhaps the third or fourth of the day? And then another one comes to be. This one, you could almost swear it was the Guuji’s tricky tongue against your clit that caused it. While the one after it seemed to have been the forceful motions of the Tengu’s fingers stretching you out nice and wide like no one’s business. And then another. And then another one? Or was that still the same orgasm? What about the one after that? Or the one after that? You don’t know. You don’t know.
It’s getting impossible to focus. It’s getting impossible to keep your eyes open and your mouth from moaning and dribbling drool just about everyone on your body. It’s getting impossible to distinguish between the voices you hear as they blend together. And even more impossible to think about anything other than staying awake and trying to face the pleasure-filled onslaught being delivered to you.
But your body- it can’t take it anymore. It couldn’t then. And it surely isn’t take it now. But one more, your Archon coos to you. She can take it, the Tengu asserts to the room. I know she likes it, the Guuji teases the others. But at this point, you have said nothing.
Because at this point, you had lost to the Eternity Game. Not by the rules. Not in body. But in mind. In spirit. Because at this point, you had already lost count of how long it has been. How many orgasms you had ruined. And how many orgasms you had thrust upon you in such a short time.
Because at this point, you had already lost consciousness. And there’s nothing you or anyone else could do about it now. But at the very least…
“Oh, would you look at that. She’s cumming again~”
…the other could enjoy the show.

Monthly special: Variable Barricade crossover!
I honestly didn't expect this to go so big so fast! Although this chapter can feel a little like a filler and that I left out quite a lot. This is just so I don't accidentally spoil the routes. Since we do have some time before we get to them hah...But I think I will make the second run (the one with the boys) for a different game! But we’ll see about that.
If you want to join the taglist just send an ask or dm me!
Reader here is female and has established background.
Cw: Age gap (Reader is 18 and the ladies are ages 20-24)
<= Previous chapter||Next chapter =>
After finding out who your suitors really are you've decided to interview them. It was to find out what their intentions and opinions were… and of course you were going to ask them about those little titles they had displayed on their background checks.
In the end you were not ready for their responses no matter how hard you prepared.
Part one: chapter 2- This is just like a job interview!
"I see… so this is what that was all about…" you just explained everything to Ayaka and she listened carefully. But somehow she didn't seem all that concerned "I'm happy for you Y/N" her gentle smile made you frown
"Happy? Did you hit your head Ayaka? I'm not happy with this situation" you weren't sure if she understood your situation, but it definitely surprised you to see her being happy over your misery.
"But isn't it good? If anything it's a step in the right direction. Now you won't have to worry about not being able to marry out of love. You said it yourself that your grandfather allowed you to still seek on your own, right?" she was right, but there was a little problem.
"It's true but I won't have enough hours in the day to look for someone!" and not like you'd even know where to begin.
"I suppose you're right… then why not look among your suitors?" she was really curious as to why you'd do anything just to ignore the suitors. To you the answer is obvious.
"Didn't you listen to me? They're unemployed and they sure are here just for the money" the timing probably couldn't get any better for them. You don't even know how or when your grandfather got acquainted with these women, but you have a feeling that they were glad to not have to worry about any money should they win you over.
"I think we both know that's not possible. Your grandfather wouldn't let someone like that near you" her words made you frown, you didn't think about it in that sense. As you cursed under your breath Ayaka continued "If you're so uncertain about them, maybe talk to them individually and judge their characters yourself" now that you think about it, the only time you spoke to any of them alone was when Yelan greeted you by the door, but you're not sure if it counts given that you basically didn't respond to anything she said. Alas, your best friend's suggestion gave you an idea "You're right! I should interview them!" your eyes sparked as you knew it was a good plan.
"I'm pretty sure that's not what I said-" she tries to change your train of thought but you already made up your mind.
"I mean, joining the L/N family is like accepting a job and every job offer needs a proper interview" you ignored her concerns as you feel proud of your new approach.
"Y/N, can't you be a little bit more casual about this?" she desperately tries to convince you. But you had your mind set. And when you know what you want you're as stubborn as you can possibly get.
"How could I be? If I'm going to do it, I'm doing it on my own terms" you say as perhaps such an interview would make them nervous and perhaps their masks would fall. That would buy you more time unless your grandfather really does have a queue of women waiting for their chance with you…
"I'm happy that you're confident about it… but something tells me that it's not going to end well" she continued with her concerned tone.
"I'll be sure to let you know if you were right or not. For now I'll prepare the questions and let Thoma know my plans" you immediately took out your phone and texted:
Y/N: Thoma, I need you to let everyone know that I want to host an interview with each and one of them.
You didn't need to wait long for his reply but you didn't feel impatient. After all this was the first time you got to have control over the situation.
Thoma: Sure, do you need me to pass anything else to them?
Y/N: I want them all in formal wear. Everything else I'll explain to them myself.
"Formal wear?" Ayaka peeked as you were typing.
"I want to see if they're willing to take it seriously" you said as your mood got better. You finally were the one in charge!
-
You were a little nervous but once you arrived back home you felt a sudden rush of confidence. You opened the door to the main room and all of the women were dressed formally just like you asked. They didn't notice you right away so you got to hear their following conversation.
"She should be home anytime soon right?" Eula said with impatient tone "I hate not knowing what's going to happen next"
"Well, Thoma said it's an interview. So that's what we should expect" Yelan said casually. She said before that she's planning on not letting you know everything about her right away so you wonder what kind of tactics she may have here.
"I know that, I was just thinking what kinds of questions she'd ask" with each word Eula sounded more and more irritated.
"Isn't it obvious? She probably saw our background checks and is curious as to how are we so bold as to ask for the heir's hand while we don't have anything to offer. Business wise choosing any of us is setting herself up with a gamble. Since I doubt any of us have the experience" Ningguang pointed out, she wasn't exactly wrong but she wasn't fully right either.
"In some occasions marriages are set up purely for either decorational matters" Eula argued "So we don't know what Y/ N really wants from us" she said it like you'd be the one using them if you get married. How laughable.
"*giggles* This might be interesting indeed. What do you think?" Miko turned to you as she was quiet this entire time. Perhaps she knew all along that you're here or maybe she noticed it a bit later. Either way she was the only one who was aware of your presence, considering how the rest looked surprised to see you. Taking a deep breath you look at them and say:
"Ladies, as you know I'll be hosting an interview for each and one of you. Thoma will call for you individually, so for now I'm asking that all of you stay here and I'll get everything prepared in the dining room" you feel proud of yourself but your face is fully professional, not letting any of your excitement show.
-
When you were alone in the room you looked at the background checks again. This time however you weren't filled with despair like last time "Who should I call first…?" you wonder for a moment and look at Thoma "Could you bring Miko first? Also I'd like you to not be in the room during the interview"
"Alright" he nods and leaves the room.
After a moment Miko enters and she looked quite amused "I see you're finally taking initiative" she sits in front of you "I was wondering when I'll get to see that side of you" she looked at you intrigued "Go on, ask me those questions" she waved her hand at you, suggesting that you may start right away. Her casual approach to the entire thing made you lower your guard slightly, but you weren't going to let her do whatever she pleases.
"Alright, first question. What prompted you to apply for the chance to marry into the L/N family?" you had your suspicions, especially given her work life so far. So you had to look for hints of her lying if she tried to fool you with having feelings for you or just thinking she's your best bet.
"Who said anything about your family? I'm interested in you. So when that old man offered me your hand I felt like it'd be worthwhile" she answered with confidence "But for now I didn't get the chance to tease you enough, what a shame" she sighed.
You decided not to comment on that. You made a mental note to now always be on guard so her attempts of teasing can only end in failure. She's so cocky you decided to not let her have the satisfaction.
"May I ask how did you get to meet my grandfather? Considering how you're referring to him, you probably know each other for quite some time, right?" although you could see a bold person like Miko call him "old man" right away.
"You could say that. Our first meeting was a bit spontaneous, but that's something he should tell you about. I honestly don't know what the guy was thinking, so I'm afraid that should I introduce the situation to you you might not understand the full story before you judge the situation" she explained, well at least that was an attempt at an explanation since it made you ask more questions than have yours answered. But considering her response, asking any would be useless.
"Right… onto the next question. What benefits can you bring to this family that other suitors can't provide?" you realize that they don't know each other, but you need this answer from everyone.
"Unlike others? Well I suppose to you it matters so I'll give you my answer: I can give you a taste of freedom in a way nobody else can" her voice was almost inviting. But you didn’t let your guard down.
"And what do you mean by that?" you raised your brow. Trying to not sound too interested by her offer.
"Oh but it would be absolutely dull and boring if I told you the answer rather than letting you experience it, no?" and with that the magic of her previous statement is gone as you have enough common sense to say:
"You do have a point, but how do I know that you aren't just making things up as you go?" you know better than to believe sweet nothings being whispered into your ears.
"As our relationship progresses you'll see it for yourself dear. Although you might not notice it right away" she was insistent, but at the same time she did sound like she was having fun trying to figure you out.
"Well it would be in your interest to see to it that I notice it soon enough. No matter, time for another question. You probably have seen it coming but I'd like to ask you about your past as a uhm… kept woman" it was a tough question for you to ask. Since the job did have some implications…
"There's not much to talk about, whenever a person needed me and I was sure that they could afford me I accepted" she crossed her arms "As to what I did for them… I think the most suitable term would be inspiring them" she did seem like she wouldn't let just anyone have them but her phrasing was interesting.
"Inspiring?" you wanted her to elaborate.
"I usually work for writers. My guidance was a start for many big novelists. If you don't believe me, some of them insisted on dedicating their novels to me" she said the last part with an unimpressed tone.
"I'll be sure to check it later then. May I get some names?" this was your chance to catch her bluffing.
"But of course, I recently gave my aid to Souka. She isn't as popular but she does have the potential. I also helped anonymous writers like Zhenyu to gain popularity. There is also Junkichi, his first works are incredibly boring to read but currently he's gaining popularity with each novel. But those are only from the top of my head, I can provide you with a full list later" she wasn't nervous in the slightest, so probably that was one way for you to tell that she's telling the truth. But you decided to play it safe.
"I'll take you up on that offer" you prepare yourself mentally before you say "Now it's your turn. Do you have any questions for me?" considering what you know of her so far you expect an attempt at teasing. But what she said wasn't like it in the slightest.
"Ah I was wondering when you'll let me take the lead. I have but one question: why do you think this is happening?" you didn't know how to answer that.
"If I had to guess, that'd be due to my extended family's impatience" you had nothing else to say on the matter. That's what you were told after all, so what else could be a reason?
"Hm… I see" she hums with satisfaction, she stands up and says "Good luck with the rest" she didn't wait for you to allow her to leave.
After she left Thoma entered and waited for your orders.
"Thoma, call Ningguang next please"
With a nod he went to fetch her. She entered professionally, she was probably used to interviews. With a polite smile she greeted you, she stood waiting for your gesture that she may take a seat.
"Let's get right into it okay?" you tell her, after all you don't need to waste time on introductions and it looked like that was what she expected "My first question is: What prompted you to apply for the chance to marry into the L/N family?" you had been interested in what she had to say.
"Although I have put a lot of thought into it, I suppose you can call it my chance for many things. I've realized that I lost a lot of time in my private life so perhaps a sudden marriage like that was what I needed. Not only that I also do believe that I can be of use business-wise" you didn't expect an answer like that so you tilted your head.
"And how would that be? I haven't seen on your file any prior experience" maybe when investigating they missed it? Or perhaps she forgot to mention it if she had an interview earlier?
"Well, I can't really answer that in a way that I could prove. Let's just say that I have the temper and personality for it" oh. So it was just some baseless blabbering.
"What are those personality traits exactly?" you wondered if she actually would give a proper answer here.
"To put it simply and name just a few, I know what's valuable and worth the hassle, I know how to plan ahead and I'm not giving up easily" she looked at you with a proud smile.
"The note that I got to read would suggest otherwise. Could you explain to me why you're currently unemployed. Or rather why is it that you can't keep a job?" honesty you didn't read the reason as to why she was fired, you waned to hear her explanation and only then check if it's the truth, otherwise you might lash out on her for lying a bit too soon. You could see that the question hit her pride, but she took only a second to recover.
"The circumstances were different for each occasion. For most however, my former bosses couldn't appreciate how aspiring and confident I was. I couldn't just let them do as they pleased even if they were my superiors" she looked away for a moment "Pardon me my first reaction, just mere memories of getting fired do tend to make me a little angered is all" she closed her eyes and her polite smile was back on display.
"Surely being married to me isn't something you can just get fired from right away without any say in it. So how can I tell that you're not going to use this opportunity to just make yourself feel better about your failures?" your words hit like daggers, but you did whatever you could to protect your heart. Even if it did make you sound inconsiderate and rude. Surprisingly she took your question well. Perhaps the previous impact made things easier for her to adjust.
"I understand why you'd think that, and as much as I hate to admit I don't really have a way to disprove it. If you're willing to take my word for it then I'm going to tell you only this: while I do think that this is a huge opportunity for me, I don't plan to do it purely for a headstart. If I want to achieve something I only wish to do it on my own. Whether or not you'll choose to support me even if we get married will be up to you" she said with determination.
"Don't you think that it'd be my duty as your wife to help you?" you didn't like how aggressive you were getting but it was all to catch her lying.
"It'd be your duty to support me emotionally yes, but financial needs are something I'd have to handle on my own" she sounded genuine, but you had no idea if it wasn't an act.
"So that's how you'd view it?" granted you don't know if she's bluffing here. She could just be saying it to later guilt you regardless. But considering your earlier comment you felt a bit bad due to your choice of words.
"Yes, is there a problem with it? If so, do let me know. I don't want to waste time on someone who doesn't believe one's lover should be supportive emotionally" she crossed her arms. You almost felt like she shamed you for not believing in her words. But she was only a stranger to you. The atmosphere got a little tense, but you still had to give her the opportunity to voice her concerns.
"I hold the same opinion on the matter, you have nothing to worry about. But if you have any further questions now it's your time to ask" you hoped you managed to hide your nervousness well.
"I'm afraid most of my questions are rather personal, so I'll keep them for a bit more suitable occasion" you weren't sure if she really decided to give up on her questions given the atmosphere, but regardless you were happy that you aren't going to answer anything for now.
"In that case that's it for the interview" you told her and she left "Thank you for your time"
"Alright, next up is Yelan" you announced and waited for Thoma to call her. She walked in and as always you could feel mystery filling the room. When she sat down you asked "Are you ready for your first question?" you figured she was but you thought you'd ask anyways.
"I'm ready" she sounded prepared.
"What prompted you to apply for the chance to marry into the L/N family?" having asked this over and over again you said it like you were practicing it. But you're up to another round soon.
"I guess it was just a decision I made without thinking too much about it" she fidgets with the dice on her necklace "I honestly just rolled the dice for it and decided to accept the offer" she shrugged.
"How could you let such decision be influenced by something like that!?" it was unthinkable to you. She has the privilege to make her own choices and she doesn't even care enough to let them be her own!?
"I've made it into a habit over the years. I usually just roll the dice when I can't decide on something. I just don't want to waste any time thinking about possible 'what if's" she explained, but you still couldn't get it.
"So, you couldn't decide on this topic? Why was that?" instead of questioning further the dice thing you decided to tackle something that made you curious.
"I didn't know you, so that's why I was hesitant. The only thing I knew about you were coming from either Thoma or your family. So not really too reliable source of information if you ask me. That was my reason for refusing" she pointed out "I prefer meeting people on my own, and I was a little curious about you. That was the 'yes' vote" she added.
"But to jump into marriage right away?" you couldn't grasp how she could take it all so lightly.
"It's true that it's skipping a lot of steps. But I have some more reasons for it. It's a bit tough to explain… but sooner or later I may find my words and share it with you" she dodged the question.
"Right, in that case I don't see any reason to question it further. Let's move onto the next question. I wanted to ask about your 'gambler' title you had displayed on your background check" you really didn't know how to ask her about that so you just said how this information came to you.
"What would you like to know?" her question caught you off guard. Usually people would try to change the topic or at least deny it.
"I'd like to know whatever you're willing to tell me" you didn't even know what questions you could ask in the first place…
"I'm not going to lie to you and pretend that I don't gamble, but I don't do it that often… at the same time it did influence my habits" she probably referenced her usage of the dice "But I don't think it'll cause any problems"
"A lot of people with an addiction say that they 'don't really play often' or 'can stop whenever they want to' how can I be sure you're not just lying to me?" you're aware of how many times you've asked someone to prove themselves to you recently… but you couldn't afford to not be 100% sure.
"Well, Thoma keeps track of our behavior so rumors don't start going around about what kind of people the L/N family considers worthy spouses for their heir. So if you trust him to fulfill his duties properly then you should trust me when I say that I don't gamble often enough for it to be an issue" she explains. Although you didn't trust her yet you did trust Thoma. So for now you decided to accept her version.
"Is it okay for me to ask what made you gamble in the first place? Or at least what do you find so appealing in it?" you were quite curious on how she views it. You never had a chance to think about games in that competitive way.
"At this point I don't really remember what started it. As for why I continue, it's due to the excitement a good game gives. I honestly don't care much about the rewards, just the challenge itself" her voice was as sincere as it could get. But you still had your doubts on her indifference towards money.
"I think I understand what you mean" besides the last part you do see the appeal in a good challenge "Okay, now for the last part of the interview… Do you have any questions for me?"
"I've been wondering, what do you think of this entire situation?" she sounded curious, but you both knew what you're going to say.
"I'm highly displeased by it. But I'm willing to try and make it work" although you didn't fully mean it. You had to try and make it work. There was no other way.
"Hm… I see… well in that case that's everything from me" she nodded as she stood up to leave.
"Wait before you go, I actually wanted to tell you something… outside of the interview" you built up the courage to speak during the interview, although you were quite hostile your voice was softer now.
"What is it?" she didn't sit back down.
"I wanted to thank you, for giving me the space I need" you refer to the time where it was your first day in the house. How she could take a hint when you were getting uncomfortable.
"Don't mention it" she smiled at you before leaving.
"So now… it's time for Eula" you sighed. The interviews were making you tired even though the last one didn't end on a hostile note… with her however you could bet on it given her previous behavior towards you.
She looked a little impatient. Perhaps she felt insulted that she was the last one to go. As she sat down she glared at you, waiting for you to speak.
"Are you ready for me to begin?" you ask politely.
She clears her throat and her face expression switches from an annoyed face to a calm and practiced one "Naturally"
Her sudden shift did get you off guard "Okay then, my opening question is: What prompted you to apply for the chance to marry into the L/N family?" you liked how professional she got about it so it did allow you to be a bit more 'natural'.
"As you're probably aware, I've been disowned by the Lawrence family, who is your competitor. I understand it might not make you trust me right away, but my place here isn't by any means a part of that situation. I'm here simply because I chose to" it wasn't the most detailed response you've heard…
"And could you elaborate as to how you came to that choice?"
"Yes, I'll get right to it. To not waste any time, I had known your grandfather for quite a while by now. When he suggested that I come here I was surprised, but even though he has a… specific personality I trust his judgment" she closed her eyes "But tell him a word about it and I won't let it slide" she switched back into her hostile personality.
"In that case it seems like our relationship with him isn't that different" you looked away. You started wondering how often he met up with her. You didn't really see him often, so hearing that he spent his time with some other kids did make you envious.
"From your reactions I suppose you're right. We do have that in common" she sighed with exhaustion.
At first you wanted her to tell you more about how she met your grandfather… but in the end you decided that it was something to be discussed later "That's at least one thing. But back to your family, will you tell me why you were disowned?" you understood that it might be a difficult topic to her but since you let one thing slide you can't afford to let this question go unanswered.
"To put it simply, my family didn't appreciate me having a personality of my own. Their fake confidence is foolish and their pride is what makes their company sink only lower and lower… so in a way, you could say that it's good that I'm no longer associated with them…" she looks like she wanted to add something there but her silence made you aware that she had changed her mind.
"I find it a little hard to believe that they'd discard you like that…" although she doesn't sound like she gets along with her family you still felt bad for her.
"I was warned. But I couldn't stand by when I knew my uncle was doing something illegal, so I reported it" she said, which made you a little confused.
She was involved with getting her uncle arrested? The legality of some of the Lawrence family's dealings was always something people were weary of. But there was only one time they actually got caught. You didn't read about her involvement in it so you were surprised to hear that version of the story.
"Didn't you just say that the reason you were disowned was due to your personality?" why wouldn't she tell you about this specific event right away?
"Isn't that connected? My understanding of justice and the choices I made were what my family didn't appreciate at that moment. So that's why that was my first answer before I elaborated" she was as blunt as she could get.
"I see, I understand but next time I'll appreciate it more if you could answer fully right away"
"Sure, I'll be sure you'll get the response you expect in the future" she sounded a little annoyed which got to you too.
"Is there a problem with that? I just don't see the point of us dragging it for longer than we have to" you try to stay professional but your mouth couldn't stop itself from pouting.
"Then we should move on, we exhausted the topic of my family" yet again it was a swing of emotions with that woman. In one second you're getting along, in the next you have the urge to snap at her.
"Okay. The last part of the interview is your chance to ask me any questions" you're curious if she even would ask anything at this point.
"Oh, in that case there is something I'd like to know. Are you taking this seriously or are you just playing us all?" you understood why she'd want to know if she's wasting time but it wasn't something in your control!
"Does this interview give off the impression that I'm not taking it seriously?" really, why would you organize such a thing if you weren't willing to try.
"That's not what I mean. I know that you've been here for a very short time but you've done nothing but avoid us" you were in the same house as them for less than two days. Just what did she expect?
"I needed a moment to adjust. I can assure you that I'm not 'playing' anyone right now. So is that all?" you were honestly offended that she tried to make you the villain here.
"Yes, I'll take my leave now" with that the interviews were complete and you felt like it was just the start of the obstacle course.
You sighed with exhaustion as you looked at the reports again "Was it really that bad?" you look up and see Thoma.
"It was… difficult" you admit. You probably have ended up with more tension between some of the suitors than you'd like to admit "But it did give me a good opportunity to learn something" most of the responses were vague, yet it did give you an idea as to who you'll be working with "Regardless, I'm going to head back to my room. I'll eat later" you say before he gets the chance to ask about it.
The moment you head upstairs though you were stopped by the girls. Confused, you wanted to ask what they wanted, but you didn't get to ask before Ningguang spoke up "We've talked about it and decided that tomorrow we'll have a small house party. Make sure you don't make any plans"
"What" is all you could say.
"Well you had your share of fun now. It's our turn to take the lead now, no?" Miko asked
The entire time Eula glanced at you. Probably it had to do with her suspicion that you were avoiding them… which both was and wasn't the case.
"So, what do you prefer? The garden looks pretty nice so we were thinking of either a picnic or a barbecue" Yelan asked.
"A picnic would be nice" you just thought about what will be shorter. Because setting up the grill and other preparations alike will drag it out for longer than you'd like it.
"Alright then it's settled, leave everything to us" Ningguang looked satisfied, perhaps the picnic was her idea.
"Wait, everything? I can help out" you argued.
"Now there dear, you've had enough stress recently. We couldn't possibly give you more responsibilities to take care of" although what she sounds may suggest concern, her tone was a little sinister "Thoma on the other hand will take part in it" she ordered.
"Right!" knowing him, he'd offer his help regardless.
"Okay then everything's settled, sorry for it being so sudden" Ningguang stopped blocking your way. You took your opportunity to leave but you could hear them discuss who'll take care of what.
You aren't entirely sure if you're looking forward to it… or the complete opposite.
