Sorry for vague posting about my nefarious crossover intent and then dropping off the face of the earth for over a week, I'm currently addicted to minecraft to a generally unhealthy degree. anyways here's the silly crossover art lol

Why is Nick such an asshole to Taylor and the film? He already toldAmazon he will nto be doing the sequel.

I don't like answering this type of questions so I'll make it as complete as I can, so people can get a life outside their own expectations. (I'm not defending Nick, I'm stating facts.)

First of all, let's not spread false rumors. Nick has not dropped the project. (I'm baffled on how this rumor could start in the first place)

Nick signed a contract for the sequel, he has responsibilities towards it, and consequences if he doesn't follow it. Regardless, it's not us who decide the terms. If he ever decides to leave the project, he'll make a choice and ponder the consequences.

"He could do more". Well, he also could do less. He's an actor and does his job however he feels like. (Do y'all care about every single aspect of your own jobs or studies? Bet you have priorities, right?)

In pop culture, there's this conception of the artist "owes his fans". While I'm inclined to love fanservice of all kind because it makes us, fans, feel appreciated, no one forces us to be a fan, meanwhile the artists are forced to do fanservice as long as they want or their contracts stipulates that.

Now let me go onto the specific part of Nicholas' life and personality.

Let's remind ourselves that we can be the biggest fans and yet know nothing about our favorite celebrities. They show us what they want us to know, it's our choice to decide what we want to follow, hear or understand.

As far as we know Nick, he's always been a quiet reserved person, who suffers from anxiety, doesn't like big social events and hardly uses social media (especially in the recent years)

He's somewhat a fearful person who decides to step outside his comfort zone. We can know that from his song Comfort.

Nick has talked about how one of his "great fears is being misunderstood." You can read about it in the article RWRB related from BritishGQ in which he compares his fear with Henry's experience.

Nick has been showing multiple times in multiple occasions how he loved Henry and loved playing him. He wouldn't have said "yes" to a sequel if he didn't want to. (I'd also say it's a big deal since Nick has always only played in project that didn't get a sequel, and he consciously decided to agree to it.)

In Nick's career, we can see how diverse and interesting his characters must be. He's drawn to peculiar characters and when he finds one, he puts everything he has to offer into it. This leads him to focus on other characters that aren't the same static one from a year or two ago. (He moves on to the next project, and I don't see anything bad about it.)

Working a lot means schedule conflicts and Nick has always had this problem. If he doesn't work on something new, he rests while doing his little hobbies. (Does he need to attend every social event if he doesn't want to? Do y'all ever rest? And if you don't, can other rest instead?)

I added my personal opinion in parenthesis so it doesn't get confused with the facts. Nick is a human with personal interests, ranked scale of values and personal life.

If you don't want to be a fan, don't be. If you want to be a hater, talk it to the wall instead of harming or annoy others. If you have expectations over other people, learn to manage what you can't control. If you think you're in control of someone else, you're not.

Now, excuse me I'll go back to watch RWRB with Henry played by Nicholas Galitzine, the actor who took his fragile character and held him in his hand, and protected him.

Do you have any tips for getting your artwork seen by other people? I feel like every time I post it’s just crickets and it’s a little demoralizing sometimes

ahh I know that feeling. Unfortunately here on Tumblr there's no algorithm so you can't get more visibility by doing some annoying trend. I think sometimes it's a streak of luck + having good friends that will share your art tbh 😭 it takes time to build a following but reblogging your own art every once in a while can help with ppl who didn't see it bc of timezones, and fanart can help with visibility and getting more followers I think. But yeah there's really no real way to guarantee your art will get seen, but best of luck to you

We hit a milestone today with all of you lovelies supporting this blog! I’ve been mulling over the idea of a giveaway, but I’d really like to find some artists who are okay with me possibly buying prints (specifically Hellcheer) and then sending them to someone special by random selection. The reason I want permission is that it’s not my art to giveaway, even with a purchase of it. 

So. My question is if any of you lovely Hellcheer artists out there are okay with me possibly doing this to just celebrate a ship we all love and enjoy bouncing around in. However, if anyone (I mean anyone) has better ideas for a giveaway of some sort that can still be Hellcheer themed let me know!

What is you process for art? Sorry if you have already answered this

Hey anon, thanks for the interest in my process!

No worries, this is the first time I’m answering something like this, so I hope this is helpful

Here’s a quick run down:

Before starting to draw, I almost always look for a reference to use. It simply helps me to come up with ideas, but it also improves my anatomy a lot. Every now and then, I sketch out of my head so I don't rely too heavily on references.

When using a reference I always start with a rough sketch to put down the composition, anatomy and guidelines. Sometimes I’m using more than one guide layer, depending on the complexity of the pose. And if I'm drawing out of my head, I give myself more time to construct the pose.

After that, I simply sketch on top of the guide layer and most of the time that’s really it! If I’m feeling extra, I clean up my sketch or slow down while drawing so that the sketch gets quite clean right away. It’s a process of undoing lines and placing them until I’m satisfied, especially in the face area. I rarely get everything right away, and keeping it sketchy allows me to let some areas stay rough.

I used to struggle a lot with line art especially when it comes to digital art, so I just stopped doing it all along lol.

Before adding color, I like to block out the character with a color that is high in contrast, for example a dark grey like this. Then I like to use that grey as a base to layer my colors on top of it and change them until I’m happy with the result. This can take more or less time depending on how much I wanna experiment. Then, I often put some soft coloring on top (like blush on the cheeks) of it to make the drawing appear less flat.

Many times I just leave it at that and don't shade further, simply because I don't feel the need to (or bc I'm lazy bc I don't enjoy shading that much)

If I’m especially motivated or happy with a piece and decide to shade it, I keep it rather simple. This is the process recently I found to be most enjoyable for myself: Adding shadows bit by bit and adjusting the mid colors according to them. I’m definitely not a digital painter, that’s why I prefer to keep it rough and simple. The last step is adding the part where the light hits the character. This always helps to elevate the simple shading a bit further.

I hope this was helpful? I find my process to be rather simple and minimalistic, but it's what's been working best for me. Sometimes I really only feel like sketching and blocking in the characters, some days I might add a bit of blush to the cheeks and leave it at that.
