“Raven, look, I didn’t mean it like- Wait! Raven, be reasonable! We’re far too old for- No!”

Erik barely processed the words before Charles barreled into his chest, forgoing eye contact and explanation in favor of scrambling behind him. He stood there stunned until Raven followed, poised like a predator mid-pursuit.

“Really, Charles?” she scoffed when she saw them. “You think Erik’s gonna save you?”

Charles didn’t answer, though he did cling, grip tightening on the back of Erik’s shirt. He’d intercepted Erik right at the doorway, effectively using him like a blockade.

“Save him from what?” Erik finally asked, curiosity piqued by the odd exchange.

Mere moments later, Charles’ cufflinks betrayed him, commanded by his equally treacherous friend.

“You know you only have yourself to blame,” Erik remarked once Raven recounted his insult. An unintentional insult, to be sure, but an insult to mutants nonetheless. Charles likely would’ve disagreed, had he still been capable of doing so. It was, however, difficult to argue when one was nearly in hysterics.

“NohoHO!” He tried to twist away when Erik pinched along his left side. Unfortunately, it only brought him closer to Raven’s nails clawing at his ribs. “Wait! WAHAHAHA!” he protested when she thought to tug up his shirt, cackling at the raspberry she then blew against his unprotected skin.

“This wouldn’t be so bad if you had scales,” Raven commented, cheerfully petty.

“Thahat’s not fahahair!” Charles countered, once they’d eased up to let him breathe.

“She’s not wrong, though,” Erik chimed in, fingers tracing across Charles’ stomach. He smirked as it trembled beneath his touch. “This is an easily exploitable weakness.”

“Ehehevil! You’re bohoth ehevil!”

“And you’re too ticklish to be running your mouth. But if you really want me to be evil-“

“Raven!” Charles squeaked when her hand shifted.

“Oh, that’s diabolical,” Erik marveled as Raven showed off newly-feathered fingers. It was almost as if she’d put on a glove, scales past her wrist transformed into plumes.

“Don’t!” Charles’ vehemence suggested past experience. “Not in front of-!“ he started, then stopped, face warming.

Thoroughly charmed, Erik tugged his shirt higher. “Well, now I have to see this.” He turned back to Raven.

It was not Charles’ first time enduring the belly rub from tickle hell, but Erik’s presence, even passive, undeniably made it worse. Charles didn’t dare meet his eye, though he could sense the other man observing him. Were his giggles really that high-pitched? Was his face as red as it felt? If Raven tickled him to tears again, would his pride ever recover?

“Isn’t he cute?” Raven teased, grinning conspiratorially at Erik. Her feathered palm tickled across Charles’ torso, frond-like fingertips fluttering lightly.

“Adorable,” Erik agreed, drinking in Charles’ reactions. He held Charles’ cufflinks with ease, feeling him struggle against the metal.

Raven wiggled one feathery finger in Charles’ navel to hear him squeal, then lifted her hand once more, shifting through several different textures. “What do you think? Furry or fuzzy?”

Erik noticed Charles flinch. “Definitely fuzzy,” he replied, gazing straight into pleading blue eyes. Perhaps it was a tad sadistic, but Charles had earned Raven’s wrath on his own… and honestly, Erik was enjoying the sight of Charles helplessly flustered.

Meanwhile, Charles let out a screech when Raven’s hand inevitably returned. She’d only used fuzzy once before, the morning after one of his more drunken exploits. It’d sobered him up like nothing else, the mere threat of it becoming a warning, and now that she was doing it again…

He remembered he absolutely could not stand it.

“EHEEHEEK! R-RAHAVEN PLEASE!” He writhed beneath the maddeningly ticklish fuzz. Further down, his legs kicked, thumping desperately against the floor. “I’M SORREHEHEE!” he frantically apologized.

“That bad, huh?” Erik mused, recognizing the start of tears.

“This isn’t even his worst spot,” Raven revealed, brushing circles on his belly. “Actually… have I ever used my mutation there before?” Her fuzzed hand began drifting higher, up his side, then over his ribs.

“PleheHEASE! YOU DOHON’T HAHAHAVE TO-!”

He felt the fuzz beneath his right arm.

“Oh!” Erik startled when Charles yanked, nearly ripping his own shirtsleeve. He quickly adjusted the corresponding cufflink to re-secure Charles’ right wrist. “He’s fighting me much harder than before.” The ferocity was almost impressive.

As was the intensity of Charles’ laughter, rendering him fully incoherent.

It tickled. He couldn’t speak. It tickled so much. He couldn’t think. The fuzz bordered on itchy, or maybe prickly, terribly ticklish wherever it touched. Charles doubted it could get any worse… until he felt Raven’s other hand.

In that instant, the telepath panicked, finally summoning his own power.

ENOUGH.

Mentally compelled, Raven pulled back, while Erik released his magnetic hold. Erik’s eyes widened when he realized, while Raven tensed, no longer amused.

Charles noticed the new tension. “I… I didn’t… Sorry…” he wheezed. Eyes watering, he looked up at them, something fragile in his expression.

“For what?” Erik questioned before the mood soured. “Defending yourself with your mutation? Really, Charles, it’s about time.” Both siblings stared at him in shock.

“Are you really… not bothered by it?” Charles ventured hesitantly.

“You’re a telepath. It’s natural,” Erik reasoned. “Though I never thought tickling would force your hand.”

Relief and embarrassment warred within Charles as Erik smiled, lighthearted and playful. Raven watched the interaction, re-evaluating, before making herself relax.

“Like I said, he’s ridiculously ticklish.” She reached out to ruffle Charles’ hair. He batted her away with an indignant huff, though he couldn’t maintain his pout. Unease between them usually lingered, yet with Erik’s intervention, it’d dissolved like sugar.

“Yes, well… can’t help my nature.” He wobbled to the couch with Erik’s help.

Charles dropped onto the cushions with a sigh, allowing Erik’s arm to settle over his shoulders. Raven joined on Charles’ other side, leaning close like she’d done since they were children. They weren’t children anymore, and their relationship wasn’t what it’d once been, but he supposed that moments like this proved some things really never changed.

Before Charles could get too wistful, Erik interrupted the peace. “So, is this a common occurrence? Tickling Charles into submission?”

Raven perked up, devious, as Charles’ blush reignited. He thus became a captive audience to her extended recollections.

What Is it called when you accidentally write a fanfiction?

SOOOOOOOOOO I accidentally wrote this and thought It'd be nice to post it here so :3 Cherik proposal for you. This is set in one of my alternate universes where they are somewhere between 30 and 40 (So kinda first class era) but its 2001 and they temporarily move to the Netherlands because that was the first country to legalize same sex marriage. :D

“No, you’re not the sun to me” Erik gave a small shake of his head while fidgeting with the box placed in his pocket. 

“Then what am I?” Charles asked, curiosity clearly on his face. 

Erik smiled a little, “You are the moon” His hands started to shake a little as he felt the perfect moment unravel. 

“The moon?” Charles raised an eyebrow and tilted his head, “Then what are you? You’re also not really a sunny person” 

Erik put a hand over his heart in fake offence “What is that supposed to mean? I’m always so happy and cheerful” Charles burst out laughing and after playing offended for a few more seconds, Erik also joined in. 

“No, but really though, what would you be? Tell me, I’m curious.” Charles leaned his elbows on the armrests of his chair and leaned his head in his hands. Staring very gayly. 

Erik’s nerves were now building by the second as he brushed his sweaty hand over the velvet box that was still in the same spot. 

“I’d be saturn” He replied, as calm as he could. Though Charles must have felt the waves of nerves he was probably projecting on accident. 

“Oh?” Charles exclaimed with an amused smile. “And why is that?” 

Erik’s heart was beating so fast in his chest he was sure it might jump out as he stood up from his chair and stepped in front of Charles. He placed his hand firmly on the box in his pocket and looked right into Charles’ beautiful, breathtaking, ocean eyes. 

“Because hopefully, I’ll have a ring soon” He half-whispered. 

Charles’ eyebrows frowned together for a split second before shooting up when Erik moved down on one knee. 

“Charles, there is too much about you that I love and adore with every cell of my body to just put into one special speech. So I’m just going to tell you that, since the day you jumped into the ocean for me, saved my life and offered me a home, I’ve loved you. And I love you just as much, if not even more, today. And I know I will love you every day from now on, and nothing is ever going to change that.” Charles’ eyes were overflowing with tears as Erik pulled out the velvet box and opened it for a beautiful ring to float out. “Charles, may I ask you to accept my love for the rest of our lives and be my husband? Charles Francis Xavier, marry me?”

Charles was now a sobbing mess as he took in everything that was happening, a big smile on his face while tears were staining his freckled cheeks. 

When Erik nervously raised an eyebrow Charles started fiercely nodding yes. 

He let out a wet laugh “Yes, yes, yes, yes, YES, Erik yes, I’d love to, I-” He cut himself off as he grabbed the collar of Erik’s shirt and pulled him into a soft, warm kiss. 

The Netherlands might not be the most romantic place to have your wedding, but Erik was sure they would find somewhere. He didn’t really care about the place, as long as they could get legally married. 

“I love you” He murmured between Charles’ kisses “To the moon” kiss, “and” kiss, “b-” kiss “and” kiss, “to saturn” kiss.

Cherik / Dadneto fic rec

I’d like to single out a particular piece of fanfiction to recommend.

If you’re into Cherik and Dadneto, I’d like to draw your attention to a fic that has my vote for the best X-Men: Apocalypse fix-it fic ever, and one of the greatest Cherik and Dadneto fics ever:

What if Erik came back of his own free will following the scene in the woods? What if he had reason to?

MY SUMMARY (with a few more details):

Magda is still killed in the woods but Nina survives. Erik and Nina flee Poland and seek refuge at the mansion, which leads to Erik fighting En Sabah Nur on the X-Men’s side from the getgo. After En Sabah Nur’s defeat, families are found and formed. Erik learns the truth about Peter. Nina meets and bonds with Charles, Peter, and Wanda. Charles fails to make a relationship with Moira work. Hank helps Raven find out whether Kurt is really her son. Erik’s children unknowingly help him and Charles realize their true feelings for one another. David Haller gets a new origin story as Cherik’s son. This has a happy ending.

REVIEW:

I included this fic in a recently-posted list of fic recs, but I wanted to single this out for praise because it’s the one and only version of the events of X-Men: Apocalypse that I accept within my mind - it’s so great that I like to imagine it as one of the infinite alternate universes.

This fic has some of the most incredible character and relationship development you’ll ever read. Charles, Erik, Nina, Peter, Wanda, Jean, Raven, Hank, Kurt, and Moira are all given moments to shine, and all of their many relationships are developed and explored in the most fun and most heartwarming ways. It’s honestly been an inspiration to me in my own writing endeavors.

My favorite thing about it is how it makes Nina an actual character. She is saved from the refrigerator and given the most lovable personality, and her thoughts, feelings, and powers are all explored and developed. A lot of focus is put on her close bond with her papa, as well as her journey in developing new relationships with the siblings she never knew she had and a new friendship with Jean. We get to see more of what makes her tick, and how her powers work. Her presence at the school basically allows everything to unfold the way we all wish it had, from Peter telling Erik the truth to the endgame Cherik. It also develops a beautiful stepfather-stepdaughter relationship between Charles and Nina that is downright soul-soothing to read.

This fic is basically 90% fluff, with many funny and heartwarming scenes where Nina and her siblings cause mischief, much to the adults’ exasperation, and Charles and Erik fall more and more in love. There’s a bit of angst with regard to Magda’s and Alex’s deaths, as well as Raven and Kurt’s struggle to deal with the truth about their relationship.

This fic also includes past Erik/Magda and a minor bit of Charles/Moira, which ultimately only serve as foundations for a slow-burn Cherik that is developed from the interpretation that they never acted on, or even realized their true feelings for each other prior to En Sabah Nur’s defeat. (Btw, this leads to a few scenes that will probably please Moira MacTaggert haters.)

There’s also some sweet Hank/Raven moments, and a few comical background hints of Ororo/Peter. Some fun Wanda & Peter one-on-one sibling moments, and an entertaining rivalry between Peter & Kurt. Plus some special cameo appearances by Lorna Dane and Piotr & Illyana Rasputin.

And in the latter half, there is a VERY unique new origin story given to the character we know as David Haller. It’s not technically mpreg - it’s way more wacky and creative than that.

(One possibly-controversial choice the fic makes is its depiction of the consequences of Charles’ mind meld with En Sabah Nur. Charles has absorbed some of the ancient mutant’s power and as a result, his spine is healed and he is able to walk again, and he begins to develop a few secondary powers that he didn’t have before. So I wouldn’t recommend this if you’re staunchly against fics that cure Charles’ disability - but I also hope you’ll still give this one a chance because it doesn’t put a ton of focus on the subject, it’s just mentioned a few times.)

I find myself turning to this fic often, whenever I’m in need of some good Cherik and Dadneto content. It single-handedly enabled me to carve out a space in my multiversal headcanons for Nina Gurzsky to exist and thrive - despite my unending hatred for the actual Apocalypse movie. That’s no small feat, let me tell ya.

WaxRhapsodic doesn’t seem to go by that name on this site, if they’re on it at all. I haven’t found them on here yet - but wherever you are, bravo for creating a masterpiece!!!

I’d love for anyone who is already familiar with this fic to maybe leave me a few notes with their thoughts on it! I know I can’t possibly be the only fan of this work.

On the topic of my GTA 3 / X-Men fic - that I will ACTUALLY be making because I have the plot and some of the storyline figured out - due to the entire fic is named after a Lady Gaga song, I have decided that many of the chapters will be titled after a Lady Gaga song.

I chose Judas as the title of the entire fic due to the relationship between Olivia and Claude being similar to the lines;

"I wanna love you,

But something's pulling me away from you,

Jesus is my virtue,

And Judas is the demon I cling to"

Obviously due to the fact that Olivia is fully aware that Claude isn't a good person and will continue doing bad things even after Catalina's death, but she's still very much attracted and attached to him. The relationship is not at all abusive between them, but the major difference between them is that Olivia commits crimes like robbing banks and taking occasional jobs from Salvatore Leone so she can support Laura, while Claude commits crimes seemingly just because.

I'm just a sucker for the whole "forbidden romance" trope, is all I'm trying to say. Liv tries to not let herself fall in love with Claude but she does anyway. I mean, look at him
