So, many years ago when I first had arm pain, I bought a P.I. Engineering foot pedal for my computer, and I was able to set it up with ffxiv in place of the controller triggers, bc those are the hardest for me to use. Wow!

But now on my new computer, I can’t get it to work with ffxiv at all!! It works outside the game! I’ve tried:

Software mode AND hardware mode

Using the global layer AND ffxiv only layer

Directly setting it to be the controller buttons

Setting it to be a key press combo and tying that combo to the triggers in ffxiv

Setting it to be a mouse button and tying that to the triggers in ffxiv

The software is called X-keys, if you know it. Their stuff is really great and versatile, I just don’t understand why it doesn’t work in ffxiv now! Old comp was windows 7, new is 10.

I really want it to work bc I’ve been using the triggers and my arm hurts :( (I did swap trigger and bumper functionality in-game, at least, but it’s still enough to hurt )

the puppy keeps chewing cords and it is v stressful

like he chewed a 100$ pair of headphones and the cord to husband's xkeys for work so now we are rearranging the living room again so he can't reach the computers anymore

and like ik this is normal puppy growing pains but it is Stress and he won't stop biting maslow

it's also just a lot harder when the puppy is already 80 lbs and has months of bad socialization and habits to fix

like full offense to his human mom but she really failed to socialize him properly or teach them what is appropriate to put in their mouths

i'm low-key kind of mad at her about how she treated the puppies

locking yourself and the adult dogs away for like 22 hrs a day does not produce well-socialized puppies with appropriate coping skills
