Shi YiGuang, a citizen of the Kingdom of Ng, is an exceptionally gifted mage and healer, hailing from the powerful Shi mages clan. Despite his dark past, YiGuang places unwavering trust in FuChai, willing to go to any lengths to fulfil his parents' dying wish of breaking the sacred vow and rescuing FuChai from a harrowing fate. His tender and benevolent nature endears him to those around him, resulting in the affectionate nickname, XiShi.

My Vow To My Liege

During the Spring and Autumn Period (approximately between 771 - 476BC), wars were endless as the Liege of a certain nation struggled for hegemony. The Kingdom of Ng emerged victorious over their old enemy, the Kingdom of Yue. However, the victory came at a great cost as King HéLǘ of Ng sustained fatal injuries. He passed the throne to the new king, a girl named 'FuChai'.

She is forced to live a lie to fulfil the secret and long-standing wish of her ancestors, breaking their sacred vow with the Dragon God. A reprieve suddenly appears amid countless bloody battles to seal the Dragon God. Amid the chaos, who will sacrifice their life loyally and who will plot a scheme of betrayal? Will they choose the man over the country? Love over hate? Who will they ultimately end up with?

CHARACTERS

Chen Feng was orphaned on a battlefield and taken in by HéLǘ to be FuChai's playmate. He studied under Mr Sun Wu to become FuChai's most loyal and dependable bodyguard. He is a calm and unapproachable man who speaks very little.

Shi YiGuang is a citizen of Ng and the upcoming leader of the Shi Clan, which is the most magically powerful clan in the Kingdom of Ng and Yue. He is also nicknamed XiShi. As a child, he played with FuChai. He escaped secretly to ZhuLuo Village in the Kingdom of Yue to avoid being sacrificed at the Sword Pond. XiShi has exceptional medical skills and is known for his gentle and kind nature.

GouJian, the king of Yue, surrendered himself to Ng after losing the war and became a slave guarding HéLǘ's mausoleum. Despite his pride and arrogance, he suffered terrible humiliation as a slave. However, he inadvertently becomes friends with FuChai.

Wu ZiXu hailed from the Kingdom of Chu. As a young boy, the King of Chu executed his family and clansmen, causing his hair to turn white overnight. He was brought up by HéLǘ and his sole purpose in life is to assist FuChai in breaking the sacred vow with the Dragon God. Wu ZiXu is a highly cautious yet dependable individual.

NOTE: As the developer has only allowed streaming/walkthrough for the prologue and first 10 chapters, I will respect their decision. I will not post any CGs, and the following is the walkthrough/story for the prologue and first 10 chapters.

List of Shen Qiao’s incredible violence that lives in my head

(spoilers throughout the entire Qian Qiu/Thousand Autumns novel)

I've seen people complain that Shen Qiao should go apeshit or that he's too soft and forgiving, so I've compiled an (incomplete) list of the times Shen Qiao canonically goes apeshit/shows absolutely no forgiveness.

Beating up a gang of thugs while blind and threatening to poke their eyes out so they become just like him.

Castrating a serial r*pist. 

Stabbing a man through the heart with a branch.

Taking a group of people hostage and forcing them (with threats of grievous bodily harm) to eat all the food they dumped on the ground because hello, people are starving to death literally one city wall away, assholes.

Pushing an opponent he just killed to the ground because he decided the guy doesn’t deserve a dignified death. 

Threatening to cut people into smithereens and demonstrating how he would do it.

Straight up killing two would-be child-murderers in the span of 10 seconds. 

Condemning a man to a fate worse than death as punishment (twice).

Where did this man come from? Recognizing no foundling sect, no master. Estranged from his family. No fear of losing or death. Even when he lost his sword in a duel, he just went on developing his own martial art that didn't require a sword to fight. Singlehandedly built a demonic sect consisting of 2 disciples that are very capable of causing political waves in the background while he himself was absent on a seclusion cultivating for 10+ yrs. Also got himself the most kindhearted, beautiful Daoist sect leader in Jianghu as his partner (even though he used to betray him!?) The audacity!

Also I really like this trait in a character. Very uncaring about people's opinion of him, doing whatever he likes, forging his own path ahead. Jiufang Changming from Shenshang also has this trait but not at this level of menace lol.
