Hmm…how about Xiao and a freesia (i think it means sibling love idk), familial wise please!
Note: This is a leftover request from a flower ask game! Currently I won't be doing new ones other than what's already in my inbox 🙏
Freesia: trust, friendship, innocence
Every time you see Xiao amongst the adepti gatherings in Jueyun Karst, you’re quick to approach him with that happy-go-lucky energy of yours that makes the other yakshas croon. Indarias and Bonanus would often dote on you when Xiao isn’t around, but even he isn’t immune to your greetings of “General Alatus!” while you rush to his side, asking him how he’s been faring.
To say that he was one of your role models wouldn’t be too far from the truth; adepti are known to be quite frank with each other about their intentions, and you’re no different as a younger spirit who’s a yaksha in training. Aside from your puppy-like demeanor when it came to your elders and friends, you were a disciplined warrior that ran the same drills as your peers, dedicated to the cause of defending your home.
The first time you call him “Brother Alatus”, Xiao almost teleports away in embarrassment. Really, he couldn’t fathom why you’ve latched onto him as a sibling-like figure to admire, but at his core Xiao has always been a gentle soul. Perhaps children can identify and speak of the fact to his face more easily compared to adults, seeing as you did the same in years that you’d rather not remember (you had your sense of pride too! And when you were younger, well… people said you were adorable, and you did some things that you’d still get teased about.)
To elaborate on why you were more attached to him than the others was quite simple; he’d once stepped in when you’d entered a domain with karmic debt too heavy for your arts to dispel, and pretty much saved your soul from getting tainted. You thought he was angry at you - which he partially was, because of how you ran into such danger without considering your own safety - but upon seeing how you tried to steady your trembling hands, he sighed and asked you to follow him, only to lead you to a tranquil spot tucked into the peaks of Liyue’s mountains, with only running water and the rustle of wind to make ripples in the silence.
He tells you that this area is peaceful, and that you may recollect yourself here without disturbance. Xiao doesn’t spell it out, but it’s one of the calm spots in Liyue that he himself goes to for times of seclusion. You can see traces of other adepti here too, having trained or rested under the shade of the trees after a long day of work.
You’re like a little version of him, in some ways. Xiao certainly wouldn’t go easy on you if you asked to spar, but between two people that would be offended otherwise, the other yakshas tend to agree that he’d be a good mentor for you - not that he’d have time or you’d stay still long enough for that to happen, though.
It’s a chaotic type of understanding you two share after years of being acquainted with each other, but no one can deny that at the end of the day, Xiao would definitely drop in to congratulate you if there was a celebration in your honor or your batch of yakshas. He looks after his family quietly, and it’s quite common for the others to drag him into the rowdy sorts of festivities - but it’s familiar. It’s home. And neither of you would have it any other way.

With an Adeptus!Reader...
A/N: Warning for spoilers of their backstories and Liyue's archon quest!
Characters: Zhongli, Xiao, Venti
Considering the hardships you went through before becoming an adeptus, Zhongli didn’t want to tie you to him with a contract; Liyue wasn’t in need of new warriors, and he was no longer leading the nation as Morax. Immortality erodes the spirit and memory, and with time comes a loneliness that can be hard to bear - thus Zhongli approached you with concern when he found out about your change.
What he hadn’t expected was for you to greet him with a smile and lighthearted conversation (it’s something he infinitely admires you for, really). Zhongli answers your questions pertaining his experience as an adeptus patiently, observing your reactions and body language to try and gauge if you're alright.
...You were a bit nervous about this transition though, and so Zhongli gives you a soft smile and places a reassuring hand on yours. Whenever you need him, don’t hesitate to reach out. He'd be more than willing to support you and listen when you have something to get off your chest. As both an experienced adeptus and friend, he’d like to be someone you can rely on.
The talk ends with you finally dropping your strong front and laying in his arms (it’s not as if he couldn’t see right through you anyways, though Zhongli knew better than to poke at it while you were coming to terms with becoming an adeptus.)
You still joked around even even as he was running his fingers through your hair (a calming motion), so at least that told him that you were fine. Zhongli can't help but chuckle when you point out that you match with him a little now, with your extra appendages/markings on your skin.
“You’d already brought light into my life when you were mortal.” Zhongli would remind you. “I will never lose sight of how our story began, nor take the rest of the time we have for granted.”
You’d laugh fondly, regarding him with a gentle gaze. “I thought you wanted to end this on a light note?”
“What could be lighter than the happiness you give me?”
Oh? “In that case, I’d have to thank you as well for painting my days in gold. Not just as Morax, but Zhongli as well.”
You’ve fought by Xiao’s side so many times that he could trace your movements as if they were his own. You weren’t from his generation of yakshas, but your purpose and combat prowess was something that he could comfortably rely on. He was proud to be able to say that you were comrades (and friends, and maybe a little bit more - Xiao was always cute when you teased him about that)
Like Madam Ping, you’ve opted to live amongst mortals to understand how to better support them in other ways. It’s quite a curious life you live, playing as a citizen by day and leaving for ‘work’ whenever needed, departing with a mysterious smile when asked about it.
Neither side of you was more ‘real’ than the other; as a citizen it was relaxing to indulge in mortal pastimes and learn to cook (regardless if you were very good at it), while traversing the land you love as an adeptus felt freeing, and battles always did give you a sense of purpose as it was something you’ve done for so long.
Though it’s always more fun when you can share the weight of a fight with Xiao - it’s nice how neither of you have to hold back in fear of hurting each other, and you share a familiar understanding that surpasses friendship, carefully built over time together.
Since he's so used to your presence, it sometimes surprises other people how casually he interacts with you (or even knows your habits/quirks), but you enjoy that little privilege that comes with your relationship. After all, once you've bonded on the battlefield for centuries, it's hard to call the other an acquaintance, right? It's not like it isn't mutual either~
“Hey, don’t forget that you can call my name too.” You nudged Xiao. “I’d never be late to a friend in need.”
He eyed the almond tofu that you’d abandoned for the sake of talking. “And have to argue about food with you after every patrol?”
“I said I’d cook!” You huffed. “You’re just stubborn. Eat more almond tofu and your muscles will become as soft as one.”
Xiao swiped your bowl from you, earning a yelp of protest. He wore the slightest of smirks as he finished it. “You said you wanted ‘real’ food. We can order more from downstairs.”
The first time he met you, Venti was only vaguely aware of you being an adeptus. He was visiting Liyue to have a drink with Morax but got a little lost (or so he said). He learn later that you were indeed in allegiance with the Geo Archon, though your contract was looser than the others as it was to look after Liyue’s people in general (the methods would be however you saw fit, and evolved as they did.)
“What a shame… You really signed your free time off to serve that blockhead, huh?” While you knew he was joking, you’d always wondered what he meant when he said it was a shame… You sometimes ponder this as you’re reminded of him, be it through the greeting of a breeze or singing of the birds.
Sometimes you’d visit Mondstadt during a mission, after which you would be invited by a certain bard to stay a bit longer, be it for some food or to catch the sight of the sunset from a different nation (Venti was always good at finding reasons to spend time together)
After Morax stepped down, Venti came to Liyue to check on you - he was aware of how the adepti respected and cherished his old friend, and offered his company as comfort. He’d sing, play the lyre or flute, or whatever that made you feel better. While he may joke about it, he really does admire your dedication to Liyue.
You laughed as a familiar pair of arms wrapped around your shoulders from behind. Venti’s greeting was cheerful as ever as your name rolled off his tongue. No matter how many times this has happened, it never stopped your heart from skipping.
“Aren’t you ever worried we’d fall over when you jump on me like that?” You turned to look at him.
“Well, I know my brave warrior is strong enough to catch me!” Venti winked. “And if not, the wind will save us!”
Always a charmer, huh? You’re reminded of a past conversation as he took your hand and started leading you away, telling you something about the Windblume preparations for this year.
‘Sometimes I wish we could stay like this forever.’
‘In that case, might we form a little contract for ourselves? I’ll promise you my forever if you do the same.'

Link/Xiao is just an big brain thought because like it can basically “Xiao” moments that turn into a sweeter and more softer “Link” or reverse with more sweeter and softer turning more violent and prideful. Princess Zelda would probably accept the behavior from her champion seeing most quests and tasks literally mindfuck people [mm/oot/Botw] and the hero has done so much for hyrule. It’s terrible for you since you don’t know him and if you do his odd mood swings don’t help. If it’s a liyue/GenImp! S/o dealing with a Link!Xiao who only speaks in HYAA/Language barrier it would be a dark comedy with fridge horror. It doesn’t help with people from his world keep saying he’s a great person, aside from breaking pots. If its a Xiao!Link with a loz!s/o its more horror since you’ve probably been kidnapped by somw inhumane person. Would zhongli still recognize him?
Tbf, Twilight Princess Link gives me Xiao vibes. Like the other Links were at least always kinda :) but TP Link is just :/
I'm sorry I just.... I can't envision this without seeing Zhongli as the fucking boat in wind waker

Imagine catching butterflies with Xiao... Well, kind of. Do the ones in your stomach count? Those have been living there for a while 😉
Summary: Just some fluff
After a day of barely being able to catch crystalflies once again (you needed them for crafting condensed resin and to fulfill a commission request) your moping takes you to a picturesque spot.
The leaves are a soft yellow as they sway with the breeze, and under it is a peculiar sight; Xiao, napping by its roots and looking oddly comfortable.
With all his dedication to protecting Liyue, you wouldn’t put it past him to neglect his own rest for his duties.
(...Or perhaps adepti did not need to sleep, and he’s simply decided to do this because the weather was perfect for a short nap. You can never know, with him.)
Stepping closer, you notice something glittering on his hair - it almost seemed alive. Three seconds later you realise it was alive - a crystalfly is perched on Xiao’s head!
No way... Can I catch it? You start to circle about the sleeping man, not getting too close lest you startle either one of them. Before you can think twice, it starts to flap its wings as if to take off, causing you to dart forward in an attempt to grab it.
Just as you did that, Xiao’s eyes flutter open - just in time to freeze as you tried not to trip and fall onto him. You’re half-sure that if he hadn’t processed this quick enough, he might’ve instinctively taken you for an attacker and countered your action. You awkwardly crack a smile while you loom over him, finding it hard to explain to Xiao how you were not doing anything suspicious.
When he speaks, you step back and take your shadow along with you. The sunlight hits his eyes better now. You can’t help but think that he’s incredibly pretty, even in normal moments like these - no, especially these, you suppose you’d rather say.
Later on Xiao offers to help you with your crystalfly farming after having heard of your struggles with it. The trick is to be quick and not hesitate, he says - but how could your speed every compare to his?
When you mention how you wonder what it’s like to be that swift, XIao suggests the unexpected; picking you up to higher ground to try it for yourself (seeing as gliding is indeed faster in some cases). You then find yourself high up in the large tree that stretched toward the sky - arms instinctually wrapped around his neck to steady yourself. Despite the height, you felt safe in Xiao’s arms - they’re protective and secure in how they support you, lifting you with unassuming ease. And with that, your little hunt for more winged gems continue.
“Haha, you couldn’t catch that either, Xiao!”
“...Maybe the extra weight is slowing me down.”
“Hey!”
“Pfft.”

By The Lantern's Light... (Xiao/OC)
A/N: Tysm to @windblumeodes for commissioning me 🥺🥺
this is an excerpt of the fic I wrote, centered around Xiao and her OC, Bedelia!
Wordcount: 1.7k
My commissions are still open! DM if interested + more info here!
Having moved to Liyue, Bedelia was reminded daily of just why she was so taken by the nation. Qingce Village was especially picturesque with a kind community, and when her vision sang for another adventure or story to pen down, she’d venture to other parts of the land to satiate that desire.
She felt spoiled to be able to wander through breathtaking plains and mountains as she wished, though perhaps this was a blessing from her homeland’s archon, who she'd like to imagine smiled upon the pursuit of such luxury.
Lantern Rite festivities were well underway; children played around the marketplace whilst foodies perused the stalls, new and old friends alike gathered to release lanterns and enjoy feasts.
The biggest finale, however, was scheduled for later tonight. Her neighbours insisted she venture here to witness it in all its glory, and so she did, booking a few nights at Wangshu Inn. It wasn't as lively there as in the main city, though it seemed that it was more than enough to deter a certain yaksha...
Bedelia had long left the bustling crowds in the city to search for a spot to watch the fireworks. It was earlier than needed, but she also wanted to walk off the food in her stomach and savor the quiet nature outside.
The grass underneath her feet crinkled softly as she made her way up. Bedelia was far enough from the city that it was quiet, save for the chirp of animals and random bursts of smaller fireworks. A nostalgic feeling hugged her shoulders like the ghost of a friend. Back in Mondstadt, she would wander out at night to watch the stars, a cloak and notebook in hand that made her feel the littlest bit like she was on an adventure.
She couldn’t help but smile to herself. Her life might not be the most eventful, but it was certainly far from a boring one; she’d make sure of that.
Bedelia encountered a few people in passing, finding stray lanterns that landed in the oddest places after someone or another released them. It occurred to her that social workers would have to clean them up eventually, earning a pang of pity in her chest. She looked up to notice one caught in the branches of a tree.
Considering that it wouldn't be any good for animals, she made to retrieve it from its precarious position. These must be bothersome too…
For reasons unknown, this made her think of Xiao. Perhaps he'd say this was why he didn't bother with human ways, calling them unfathomable and fickle. She could almost hear him saying it, arms crossed and all. The smile that crept onto Bedelia's lips turned a little regretful; it was too bad she never got to see him in the weeks leading up to today. The nation was celebrating a well-loved tradition after all, it would’ve been fun to talk to him about it.
Xiao must be busy…
Lost in her thoughts, Bedelia wandered around the bend of the mountain rather than continue to climb it. She'd eyed a taller point earlier as a potential viewing spot, however, a small break was in order. She grew used to the weight of the lantern in her arms and was now looking for a convenient place to leave it.
She noticed a chamber on the side of the mountain - a cave. It wasn't too large of a space, but it was enough to sport the traces of a campfire and adventurer supplies.
Bedelia almost dropped the lantern when something moved. Beneath the darkness was the gleam of golden eyes, she summoned her weapon instinctively, lowered into a cautious position when she realised…
Xiao?
"Wait- What the hell are you doing here?!" She sputtered. For what reason could Xiao have to rest in such a dark place in the middle of nowhere? "Even the fire isn't lit! I thought you were a panther or something!"
"There aren't any panthers in the area." Xiao paused. His polearm laid beside him where he sat. "You surprised me too, I didn't expect to see you here."
"You don't sound very surprised." Bedelia held her head in exasperation. Slowly, she picked her way into the cave and lit the leftover wood with her vision, sitting down near it.
Xiao swirled the fire with anemo, helping it burn. "I could hear your footsteps, it sounded human enough."
She didn't want to imagine what could've happened if he mistook her for a hilichurl. With the campfire burning, the cave danced in its light. Bedelia turned to reply only to freeze at the sight of Xiao; his skin was littered with remnants of battle, fresh and untreated.
"Did you just fight something?" Her eyes scanned for any serious wounds. "Do you need healing?"
"It's nothing." At Bedelia's unconvinced look, he lifted his arm to demonstrate that there was no difficulty. "Just the usual."
What's the extent of your usual? Her mouth pressed into a line. Xiao hadn't been around Wangshu Inn in weeks, meaning that he was busy warding off evil spirits. Did enough people notice the sacrifices he made for Liyue in the shadows?
"Were you going to release a lantern?"
Bedelia blinked, then followed his gaze to the item in question. She waved her hand as she answered. "Oh, this isn't mine. I found it while I was walking around, thought I’d pick it up since it landed awkwardly in a tree.”
Xiao sighed. “Those lanterns aren’t truly needed for an adeptus to hear your calls.” He took the curious look in Bedelia’s eyes as a sign to continue. “So long as you speak our names in prayer, or with enough will… It is possible it’ll stand out among the rest.”
“Does that mean you can normally sense it?” Her body leaned forward in interest. She’d heard of gods and beings that had this ability but never looked into it.
He pondered, making Bedelia wonder if he was listening to someone’s words as he glanced away. “I can’t speak for the others, but I can at least sense the strength of people’s prayers. Wishes for good health, hopes for a brighter future…” Xiao’s eyelashes fluttered close. “Sometimes they can be desperate, but it’s like a pool.”
“I see...” The words swam away in a whisper. “Have you ever heard my voice in that pool?” As quickly as she said it, Bedelia thought of another question. “Have any adepti contributed to it before?”
At that, he opened his eyes. Xiao was never easy to read, but it was even harder now when she’d said a bit too much; always stepped on the line, never more. Bedelia felt an odd twist in her chest at the idea that if she did cross over, Xiao might never be willing to see her again. So she backtracked, and straightened, with an uncharacteristic hurry in her voice. “Ah... I’m sorry, I didn’t mean... Please pretend I never said that.” Her hair curtained her from having to see his reaction as she lowered it in apology. “I forget, it’s hard to call us friends, right? Or maybe we are friends-- But it’s still not something I should’ve said.”
Bedelia stopped herself before she could ramble more, the words pouring out like a dam broke open. She scolded herself in her mind; what was she doing?
The sound of fireworks outside drew their attention, louder than before. Bedelia almost forgot her reason for coming here after having been distracted by Xiao.
It's a buildup to the Mingxiao Lantern's release, she thought. If she wanted to watch the show, she should get to a higher place quickly.
As if reading her mind, Xiao gestured for them to leave and guided her around the mountainside. They exchanged no more than a few words as he escorted her up, taking shortcuts and supporting her climb at trickier parts until they reached their destination - a peaceful spot graced with a singular qingxin bloom, and a clear view of Liyue Harbour from afar.
Bedelia did her best to calm her racing heartbeat and focus on the lanterns that dotted the city like fireflies. Like they had numerous times in the past, the pair sat and watched the scenery together in each other's company. Except this time, it was a view neither of them were too accustomed to.
Finally, Xiao broke the silence. "It's not unheard of for an adeptus to call the name of another." It struck Bedelia that his quietness was because he was considering what she'd asked. "But in my field, there's no one to call to other than myself."
Bedelia's throat dried at its transparency; he was the last yaksha. "I can't imagine how endless the pool must feel when you're the only one braving it…" Her eyes were downcast. How lonely… But I can’t offend him more by saying that.
Xiao picked the qingxin, studying the flower in his hand. "I'm used to it. It’s simply my job, there's nothing for you to be sorry about." He raised his gaze to catch hers; timeless and solitary, like an adeptus' should be, but clear. "It's not like you're the cause of demons."
He offered the qingxin to Bedelia, who accepted it with a smile curved with slight disbelief. "It's true what they say about the adepti’s benevolence." Should she be surprised at all? Xiao had always been… "Or perhaps it's just you that is too good for the world."
Xiao held her gaze, so earnest in her view that he could not bring himself to deflect it. Instead; "If you'd released a lantern, what would you have wished for?"
The launch of the Mingxiao Lantern interrupted them, booming and flaring to life like a thousand stars, though Xiao did not look away from Bedelia's lips as she answered, or the micro-expressions that flitted across her face.
He stored those words into the depths of his mind as he turned his attention to the Lantern Rite's finale. As he watched the likeness of an old friend gallop into the night, he wondered if his dreams would ever see the same path into the sky.
At the very least, Xiao was certain that Bedelia's would. For he knew she could shake the stars with her impossibly determined flames, and he'd make sure nothing could ever dare to extinguish it.

Walking to school together...
About: Walking to school with them in the morning! A highschool AU that's part of @bumbleklee's Teyvat Top School Collab!
Notes: These are just general platonic things, sorted into friend groups!
✿ wake-up call: wildcard
(I'm so sorry for how late I'm posting 😭😭 I just finished a series of exams myself)
Comms are open!
Xingqiu, Chongyun, Xiangling
Wake-up calls are always accompanied by snacks, courtesy of Xiangling!
She's absolutely amazing about quick on-the-go breakfasts, but do watch out for when she's experimented with unusual flavor combos the night before! You can predict whether you should say if you're full or not based on the other two's expressions.
You thought you could at least trust Chongyun, but once he helped them in pranking you in the morning (it wasn't much, but Xingqiu and Xiangling scared the hell out of you by popping out of nowhere and grabbing your arms) - ever since you've had trust issues ✋️ (/lh)
Once Xiangling wasn't around to regulate your food ventures, so the three of you ended up eating what a normal, sane individual may deem as unhealthy. (Desserts and ice cream for breakfast… not the most practical thing, but hey it worked out!)
Not to say that your group can be quite the disaster… but you're definitely the types to stay up just a little later to text or watch a show, read, write, and etc! The conversation tends to just resume the next day, like Chongyun talking about a haunted house conspiracy he's read about last night, or Xingqiu telling you guys about his latest collab with Albedo!
Sometimes Xiangling can be forgetful and miss bringing equipment for class, but between your group you've got her covered - it's the least you can do in return for all the good food 🙏
Kaeya, Diluc, Jean
Much to Diluc's displeasure, Kaeya enjoys calling out at your window for you to come down. It's usually a casual line, and you've grown accustomed to hearing a "morning, sunshine!" instead of a doorbell.
Seeing as Diluc and Kaeya live together, they often make the rounds to pick up you and Jean! You guys have been living close by one-another since you were kids, and you've maintained a close enough relationship with them to walk to school together in the mornings.
Jean tends to check up on you, asking if you've slept well or finished an assignment while the other two bicker in the background - when they're not arguing however, Diluc and Kaeya are pretty amicable company and reliable too! Your group likes to hang out after school to do work or study, and a common stop is the bookstore on the way to school, since it allows you to pick up refreshments at its on-site cafe.
You're well-aware that Jean has a penchant for the pizza they serve there, and as much as Kaeya tries to maintain his playful-flirt act when around others, you don't miss the way his eyes light up when he's browsing the shelves as he gets lost in them.
Once, you return to your shared table with a couple of books - though instead of sitting down as you normally would, you bring them over to Diluc to ask him for his opinion on them (did Kaeya or Jean prompt this? Were you simply curious of what he’d say? Who knows? 😉 Regardless, you end up half-teasing and half-learning more about Diluc that afternoon.)
Venti, Zhongli, Xiao
Venti’s always the last one you guys pick up, if only because he likes to sleep and takes an agonisingly long time to get ready (part of it was just to annoy Zhongli though, since you’ve also witnessed Venti’s record-speed rushes from home to class at times when he’s running late)
Despite that, both him and Zhongli have a habit of looking after you and Xiao, albeit in different ways. Whenever you’re in need of advice, it’s amazing how perceptive they can be, and they’re all great listeners too!
In terms of giving advice related to studies or responsibilities, Zhongli might be a bit more suited for that. Venti’s more of the social-crisis hotline, while Xiao is always available for emergency grocery/food runs or helping you buy time as you run to retrieve a book you need.
When you guys hang out, the atmosphere is always light and relaxed as they really take their time with doing things - according to Venti, (and even Zhongli, much to your surprise at them agreeing on something), it’s not fun to rush things when you can just live at your own pace! School and life can already be draining enough as it is.
…Though you have to admit, it’s kind of funny how different those in your group are. Even when ordering drinks, there’s a noticeable difference in one that orders tea, another a soft drink, and the last with something really, really sweet.
Speaking of sweets, Zhongli seems to always know the best places to buy certain snacks you might be craving. Xiao can vouch for that, even if he’s generally always craving the same almond tofu dish.
Childe, Signora, Scaramouche
You were already friends with Childe from a long while ago. He was a bit of a troublemaker in the past and liked to tease you, but you’re pleasantly surprised by how he’s matured now. Childe is attentive and shows an aptitude for taking care of others, especially his younger siblings, and even learned how to cook!
Getting to know Signora and Scaramouche was nothing short of a journey; both were sharp and intelligent, and liked to poke fun at Childe’s expense, but exuded different versions of intimidating auras.
You learned that Signora liked to visit a cafe and flower shop on the way to school - there was an old friend that worked in the latter that she says hi to, and she’d sometimes buy two drinks in order to hand one to him. Her outfits were always gracefully put together, but you also noticed that she had a liking for butterflies, finding beauty in their transformative existence (she was also a great science student, and is willing to tutor those that don’t annoy her.)
Scaramouche on the other hand was prickly, straight-forward, and incredibly observant. Despite his facade of indifference to things, he’d always be the first to point out if someone forgot to zip their bag or was walking in the wrong direction for class. It’s in the little things, and if you don’t tease him for being nice, he might even forget to add an insult along with his comment. (He doesn’t mean the brazen or rude things he says though. Scaramouche adopts a different kind of expression at times when he's truly mad.)

Headcannons for how Xiao, Diluc, Kaeya and Tohma would react to a gn!reader becoming incredibly quiet one day in contrary to their usual bright and talkative self? When confronted, they hesitantly say that people found them annoying, and they didnt want to be a bother to the characters.
His brow furrows as you explained the reason for your change in behavior. Xiao was trying his best not to worry you with his initial reaction, which was to pick up his spear and make the culprits repent.
No, that would only do more harm than good... Instead, Xiao focuses on what mattered most; you, sitting before him, smiling in a way that didn’t reach your eyes.
It hurt to see you like this. Xiao was never good with words, but he knew what he wanted to say to you; he speaks his mind:
“You could never be a bother, and those that claim otherwise are simply foolish for being unable to see past themselves. Their complaints aren’t worth your time.”
Harsh as it may sound, a part of Xiao didn’t want to leave room for you to doubt yourself - he’d repeat the most important part of those words through his actions, and glances, and the way he said your name.
“I’ve never thought of you as a bother; ever.”
A part of himself feels guilty that you took those people’s words to heart. Diluc was never the best when it came to emotions, but he regrets that you thought he might’ve had the same opinion as them (who were out of line for saying things like that to you, no matter the reason.)
Diluc admits he wasn’t sure about how well you’d get along at first; he wasn’t very talkative or energetic, and didn’t expect you to stick around because of your different demeanors.
Which was why your relationship now meant so much to him - you were patient with his shorter responses, and once Diluc warmed up to you, he’d already considered you as a precious person in his life.
Diluc would do all he can to support you so that you can be confident in yourself and shine unapologetically.
"How you normally are is more than good enough. You have no idea how much solace your light can bring to others."
“Hey… What’s wrong? Did something happen?”
Kaeya wasn’t forceful when he urged you to meet his eyes, never was - but the gentleness in his tone moved you enough to finally stop avoiding his question.
He was definitely concerned. Kaeya didn’t want someone he cared about to feel like they had to hide themselves, especially not for the sake of other people.
Kaeya knows all too well what it’s like to wear a mask. He would never wish such a thing on you, someone who lit up the room just by being there and exuded so much positive energy that his own barriers started to wear down bit by bit.
...But Kaeya’s never been one to be straightforward, was he? It's fine though, since you knew him well enough to read the kindness in his body language as he smiled.
"Well that won't do. I'd miss having my amiable partner-in-crime, so don't change for a reason such as that, okay? My days would be so dull if I lost you..."
He notices immediately, but doesn’t bring it up until you guys are alone. Thoma was more attentive that day, talking to you more in hopes that it’ll help cheer you up and suggesting you do something he knew you liked.
He brought over one of your favorite snacks as you guys settled in the teahouse. Once he was sure you had privacy, Thoma brought up the topic of your quietness today.
He’s a good listener; once you’re done, Thoma easily picks up the conversation again to reassure you that your brightness is something he admires.
“To be honest, I look forward to our meetings because I know how fun it is to be around you.” He said. “Your presence lightens things up and you don’t mind leading conversations when I’m feeling low either, which is honestly such a kindness at the end of a long day...”
“Please never forget that there are people who love how you are. To me, you’re at your best when you’re being yourself.”

Hi Estelle! This is probably my first time requesting, but could I ask for some fluffy headcanons for Xiao, Albedo, and Gorou helping their fem! (or gn i’m good either way) s/o bake cookies for the holidays pls? Thank u!! ~Lycoris
A/N: This is in a modern AU setting
Both requests and commissions are still open!
Xiao admittedly has a sweet tooth, so the reward of freshly baked cookies is enough of an incentive for him to help!
Let him do the heavy lifting (mixing) while you measure ingredients! Xiao has a little habit of reading over your shoulder to see the recipe though, so don’t be surprised when he absentmindedly asks you a question next to your ear. He’s too focused on the task at hand to notice how close he’s leaning, so you’re left there trying to calm your heart-rate on your own.
As you wait for the cookies to bake, you chat about anything and everything to pass the time (better to stay in the kitchen and keep watch than risk it burning), but the way Xiao casually rests his hands on your hips as he listens to you may be more distracting than he’s aware~
Very helpful in the kitchen! Seeing as baking is a bit of a science (and how he does cook), Albedo works with you like a well-oiled machine.
Since part of the reason you’re baking is to spend some quality time together, he might take the opportunity to get a bit closer to you (within your boundaries of course). It’s what couples tend to do, right? Like guiding your hands as you mix the batter while he stands behind you, chin resting on your shoulder…
He’s certainly aware of what he’s doing, and Albedo's watching for your reactions too! You surprise him with how you press on, asking if he’d like to taste the batter like you have; what you don’t expect though is for him to steal a kiss before you can say another word, taking the sweetness straight from your lips.
Gorou works on some ‘Miss Hina’ replies while you slowly clean up the kitchen together! They’re just little notes though, and he soon starts doodling some designs he wants to pipe onto the cookies later (you decided to go with ones you can decorate since you can gift them to friends!)
He’s actually pretty good at piping as long as the pattern isn’t too complicated, and your heart swells when Gorou looks up at you to ask how it looks (he’s visibly proud of his handiwork, as he should be).
When he gets a bit of frosting on his nose, Gorou doesn’t question it when you ask him to turn towards you; he closes his eyes as you reach out to clean the tip of his nose, you feel yourself soften at the evident trust that’s demonstrated in this little gesture.
