I simply cannot believe this amazing ad for Xenosaga Episode II that they got in Japan.
This is nuts. This game didn't really get any airtime ads from what I can remember. I borrowed it from a friend in high school and beat it, and loved it! It was a lot though, so long and sometimes boring.
I borrowed the first and beat it as well and then the third.
Just crazy that this game got such a cool ad and thanks to thus guy for restoring it. This would have been like 2002? 2003?

Canaan could tell by how she was gripping his flight suit and the force behind her kiss. The last time they had been together, she had been gentle with him. With this kiss, she did not want to let him go.
See You Again teen. 816 words. Canaan is running late for his escort mission. Medea wanted to walk him to the flight deck. [ao3 version]
Tugging on the collar of his flight suit, Medea pulled his face to hers. She rose to her toes and stole a kiss. No one would know - if no one saw his face. He could pass as a human pilot. Medea had been banking on that.
The danger had passed. The high security alert covering the planet the last few days was called off. No one was paying attention to them. A smooching couple would fluster a few people in public, but with the danger passed, no one would dare make a comment.
Canaan could tell by how she was gripping his flight suit and the force behind her kiss. The last time they had been together, she had been gentle with him. With this kiss, she did not want to let him go.
However, they couldn't cause a scene. Not here, not too close to where more people could recognize them. After all, he was a Realian, and she was an official in charge of his maintenance. Squeezing her arm with his hand, he broke the kiss and pulled away. When he looked at her, he could see the relief washing over her expression.
He had come back as promised, but a proper reunion had to wait.
“Medea, there’s a 75% chance we’ll be recognized if we stay. We can't,” he reminded her. “I have a job from Representative Helmer. Once that’s done, I’ll come find you.”
Medea raised her hand to his cheek, her thumb pressing against the side of his mouth. The pad of her thumb rubbed the remnants of her lipstick from his lips. Now standing beside him, she fumbled with her purse and pulled out her tube of lipstick.
“I can walk you to the hangar.” She said as she applied her lipstick. He watched her carefully as she swiped the color on the curve of her bottom lip. It was the shade of familiar red she always wore when she was Dr. Medea Castor. It was also the shade that would smear across his skin when they were in the privacy of her apartment. Canaan regained his focus when she tapped his shoulder with her now covered tube of lipstick.
“Seeing you off is the least I can do this time.” She winked at him before shoving the makeup back into her purse. Canaan shook his head and chuckled. She fell into step beside him, walking close enough to show that they were a pair heading in the same direction. Canaan slowed his pace to allow her to keep up.
“By the way, does the mission have to do with the 100-Series Prototype that arrived planet-side?”
Canaan hadn’t expected her to be briefed so soon. “So you’ve been listening.”
“The others like to talk. They contacted to assist with her data analysis at the U.M.N. Control Center.” Medea pouted. “I didn’t get asked to go, but I suppose they think that I have my hands full with you.”
Canaan shook his head and hummed. “You’ve always told me I’m a handful.”
Medea's brow furrowed, unsure of his meaning. A light blush dusted her cheeks as the implication of future activities crossed her mind. “Absolutely. A handful to take care of.”
Canaan adjusted his gloves. “It’s something you always say regardless of where we are.”
The blush was spreading across Medea's face. “You don’t make this job easy.”
Canaan hummed. “Really? I think I’m cooperative.”
Medea huffed. “Cooperative, that's what Gaignun told me before you and I met.”
“Speaking of, it seems Rubedo is with the 100 Series Prototype.”
“The Little Master?”
“I thought you’d like to know.”
“How thoughtful of you.” Medea smiled.
“I know you'd like to see them again.”
Canaan halted as they approached the dock area. He would have to continue to the E.S. unit on his own. Medea would have to watch from the tower. She hadn’t been allowed to be on the flight deck; the paperwork was still stuck somewhere in the logistics department. While it was a pain, it was better for them to part ways here. “What are the chances of them finding out about the arrangement?”
“Gaignun has his suspicions,” Medea reached over to adjust his glove, sliding her spare keycard into his hand. “The Little Master hasn’t said a thing, so we’re in the clear.”
“Good.” His hand closed around the keycard and tucked it into the pocket in the inner lining of his suit. As he secured the key, he received another ping from Representative Helmer with a location: Point 2089 . “Let’s keep it that way as long as possible. Now, I can’t keep them waiting. Rubedo and the 100 Series Prototype are on the move.”
“Come see me when you’re done. You’re due for a maintenance check.” Medea pulled away to create a respectable distance. She raised her arm to wave him goodbye. “I’ll be waiting.”

it's a xeno intro babie... 🌟
you there... Hi. do you want to get into the xeno series? do you perhaps only know of xenoblade and want to know some details about the older games? do you see that there's a bunch of games and don't know where to start? are you afraid of seeing spoilers when googling anything about the series? do you want to know what the heck xeno even is?!
i have made a tiny guide to hopefully help you with all of those!!! no matter if you're a current fan or a newer fan, i wanted to help people learn a bit more about this series. there's a ton of video guides and reddit posts, but as someone who's been into xeno for quite a bit, i know my way around some older resources and try to stay on top of the newer ones as well. :)
i will preface this with a disclaimer - by no means am i a definitive source, feel free to take a look at multiple guides and follow them based on your own judgement. :) i do consider myself well-versed in xeno, but everyone has different opinions and takes on how one should experience the series.
with that out of the way, here is the guide!! ^__^ enjoy!
if you have any questions, feel free to ask somewhere, i will get to it when i can.
here's a gif of the entire opening cutscene of xenosaga episode ii to show you that i am a dedicated individual.

XENOSAGA EPISODE II Render
Part of this render was used as the boxart for the NTSC-J Release of Episode II, and I vastly prefer it to the one used for the PAL and NTSC-U/C releases. The full image was used in promotional materials, like posters.

Xenosaga Fan Translates Full Playthrough of Canonical Phone Game, Pied Piper
Noisy Pixel Source. Possible Spoilers for Xenoblade Chronicles 3 below.
Tumblr media
To celebrate the 19th anniversary of the largely unknown Xenosaga: Pied Piper, fan @ValakTurtle has announced that they have translated an entire playthrough of the game on YouTube by @Keju_frangelico. Additionally, “the translation was built on top of Chaoslace’s original translation that was hosted on Zarathustra.”
The script was previously translated, but an in-game translation was absent.
For those unaware, Xenosaga: Pied Piper is a canonical entry in the series that is essentially required reading to fully understand and appreciate the events of Xenosaga Episode III. Given the title’s exclusive presence on mobile phones plus its lack of official localization, it’s not really known by those who haven’t played the Xenosaga games.
In fact, while it has been over a decade since I last played Xenosaga, I (think?) I remember Episode III trying to recap the events of Piped Piper because it is actually significant. As a result, it’s recommended to check out Pied Piper after playing Xenosaga Episode II, despite it taking place roughly a century before the events of the first game.
Piped Piper is arguably more vital to experience than Xenosaga: A Missing Year, which connects Xenosaga Episode II and Episode III.
If you’re a Xenosaga fan and have never delved into Pied Piper, this is a pretty fantastic way to do so. Honestly, huge thanks to @ValakTurtle for deciding to translate this playthrough with English captions. It even appears they’ve translated the menus during battles, which is a pretty intense and intricate step.
You can check out the full Xenosaga: Pied Piper playthrough playlist here or start watching the first episode below:
youtube
Earlier this year, fans united for G-MODE Archives to officially re-release Piped Piper.
Speaking of Xenosaga, the conclusion of the Xenoblade Chronicles 3 Future Redeemed storyline has seemingly opened up the possibility of a Xenosaga revival or continuation.
