Rather not in a romantic sense possibly, but I saw a mention of it here, so… Miruku and Xanxus!
How did they first meet?
What was their first impression of each other?
Tumblr media
An unexpected question between Miruku & Xanxus ! ⸻ it's sort of silly, cause I admittedly bring them up as a JOKE, but here is some introspective view on their relationship thus far base on those questions. ( thank you for making me think this over. )
╰┈┈➤    How did they first meet ? Years  after  the events of the varia arc.  They've only heard of each other in passing before hand, though ultimately Miruku did not have value enough to be remembered by Xanxus at that time and Miruku doesn't have the best of memory either   ❝  Who tried to kill Tsunayoshi-kun again? The one that put his dad, like Tsunayoshi-kun's granpa ?? in a can ?? or was it a container van?? What was his name again? Annus?? You know, I think that's a horrible name, no wonder he tried to kill his dad! Wait, doesn't that make him Tsunayoshi's uncle ?   ❞
This is a much more preferable time of meeting as well,  a much calmer - more tolerant version of Xanxus ( only in comparison to his youth of course, he still remains volatile and dangerous to most of the population, especially the vongola faces. )   What I'm saying is, Miruku's survival likely would have gone severely down if he met him any earlier.   LUCK is on his side with this one !   Also!  As always, these meetings would not have occurred not for work reasons, the mafia world is small after all, run ins like this are inevitable.
Tumblr media
╰┈┈➤     What was their first impression of each other? For Xanxus. It was   HATE AT FIRST SIGHT.  Miruku smiled at him the first time they've met,  candy sweet ⸻  sticky with something he can only describe as annoying. He is a blightful thing, standing along the hallway swaying to and fro, not a care in a world, humming some off tune hymn under his breath and when he spoke to greet him, Xanxus' name laid misplace in his tongue, syllables spoken in severe geniality. Miruku is polite, but he did not enjoy the cadence in which he carried himself and when that giggle escaped his parted lips, the irritation only grew twice fold  ;  his laughter echoing unpleasant inside his skull. ( He remembers it long after they've met, the way that bitch laughed  at  him. )   ❝ Wipe that shit off your face. ❞ And briefly, he imagined his hand around Miruku's neck, snapping willowy bones into a satisfying crunch.
For Miruku. It was BEWILDERMENT and FEAR.  Xanxus is an imposing thing, fear came natural ( even if he had smiled, even if he had laugh, that tension bubbled in the pit of his stomach. ) but Miruku is slow, blinking wide eyed and confused.   ❝  The what off?  ❞  What language did the varia leader spoke in? The pause is thick, Xanxus' frown deepens, unimpressed.   ❝ So you're fucking stupid too. ❞
⸻  Miruku stares, meet his gaze ; he takes note that they have the same hues of dry blood red in their eyes, but his is much, much nicer.   ❝ SÌ ❞   Miruku replies,  lips drawn into a defeated frown.   Xanxus laughed then, cruel insulting sound blistering into his amusement.      It seems like the neo-vongola are just a bunch of circus clowns.      Fuck them all,  especially this bitch.

Magi: Judar + JuAli Rambles 🖤❤️💛🐈‍⬛☀️
Tumblr media
Hi! I’ll be writing my reaction rambles after reading a few Magi volumes in JP.
Thanks to Bas, the leader of the fan-scanlation group Project Vinland, and a mutual of mine who’s big in the scanlation community, I got access to Magi’s JP Raws.
Viz’s official English translation of Magi is fine for the most part, in terms of translation quality.
I’ll be putting Sense Scans’ EN fan-TL and Viz’s EN official TL here for reference.
Since I don’t see the need to re-translate lines that both the fan-TL and official TL already translated correctly.
I love the prose that Sense Scans uses in their Magi fan-scanlation.
For certain lines, though, I’ll also be putting the literal translation (from my head).
My beloved JuAli 🖤❤️💛🐈‍⬛☀️
Wanted to ramble about them!
Tumblr media
Judar’s pronouns
俺 (Ore, “I”) - Casual, informal, rude. Mainly used by men.
お前/おまえ (Omae, “You”) - Casual, informal, rude. Mainly used by men.
Notes:
Judar’s first-person pronoun is 俺 (Ore, “I”). Judar’s second-person pronouns is おまえ (Omae, “You”)
Judar uses the very casual and informal, rude, masculine pronouns 俺 (Ore, “I”) and おまえ (Omae, “You”). He uses the kanji version of 俺 (Ore, “I") as his first-person pronoun, and interchangeably uses the kanji and hiragana versions of お前/おまえ (Omae, “You”) as his second-person pronoun.
He speaks pretty casually and informally. He uses colloquial particles (shortens verb conjugation endings) sometimes.
Extra Notes:
In “Role Language” (役割語, Yakuwarigo), fictional characters’ dialects — the usage of pronouns, particles, etc., conveys character traits such as gender, age, class, and levels of formality, etc.
俺/おれ/オレ (Ore) is an informal first-person pronoun, and very rough version of “I” almost exclusively used by males in casual (informal) situations.
俺 (Ore) tends to be used by characters who are very rough, casual, vulgar, sleazy, in a position of power, and/or, just very manly/masculine.
お前/おまえ/オマエ (Omae) is a very rough second-person pronoun for “You” usually used by males in casual (informal) situations. Usually only used between close friends IRL. It has an aggressive and rude edge when not used between friends. Also used to speak down to others from a higher position.
Arrogant characters (including arrogant royals), tend to lean into using more rough, casual masc pronouns such as 俺 (Ore) and お前 (Omae), such as Xanxus (KHR), Kuroha/Saeru (KagePro), Judar (Magi), Edward (ROTRK), Vegeta (DBZ), Enzan (MMBN/EXE), etc., since they’re in positions of authority and/or high status, and look down on others.
Many of my favourite characters, such as Judar (Magi), Xanxus (KHR), Kuroha (KagePro), Enzan (MMBN/EXE), Edward (ROTRK), and many more, have very rough and masculine speech patterns in JP. All of the characters I listed here also use 俺 (Ore) and お前 (Omae) as their main pronouns.
It’s very typical of rude and arrogant masc characters to lean into using them. Characters who are casual/informal and masculine in general, also tend to lean into using them.
Whether a character uses the kanji or hiragana or katakana versions (or combination) as their pronouns could be used to give off a certain nuance. But it depends on the character and context.
(I actually copied these notes from my XanLena dialogue scripts cuz I don’t feel like writing all of that again. I’ll post more of my KHR AU stuff reventually!)
How he refers to others:
Alibaba:
アリババくん (Alibaba-kun, “Alibaba”)
アリババ (Alibaba, “Alibaba”)
ハニワ (Haniwa, “Clay doll”)
Sinbad:
シンドバッド (Shindobaddo, “Sinbad”)
バカ殿 (Baka tono, “Idiot king”)
Note: 殿 (tono, “feudal lord”)
Hakuryuu:
白龍 (Hakuryuu, “Hakuryuu”)
Aladdin:
アラジン (Arajin, “Aladdin”)
Judar's Usage of Particles:
の (no) - Sentence ending particle. Can be used to soften a sentence.
な/なあ (na/naa) - Sentence ending particle. Masculine, usually used by men.
ね/ねえ (ne/nee) - Sentence ending particle. Can be used to soften a sentence. [X]
よ (yo) - Sentence ending particle. Often used to soften a sentence.
ぜ (ze) - Sentence ending particle. Rude, rough, informal, masculine, used to add emphasis. Slightly softer than the sentence ending particle ぞ (zo). Usually used by men.
んだ (nda) - Sentence ending particle, used to add emphasis. Casual/informal version.
んだよ (nda yo) - See above, but it adds the nuance of trying to give a new perspective to the listener that they don’t have. [X]
だ (da) - Sentence ending particle. Masculine, forceful, used for emphasis.
だろ (daro) - Sentence ending particle. Masculine, forceful, used for emphasis.
じゃん (Jyan) - Casual colloquial of じゃない (Jyanai) → Has the nuance of “Isn’t it?” and “Actually.” Makes the sentence softer.
Ex. いるんだ (irunda)
んだ (nda) has a casual nuance. He uses colloquial particles.
Not a comprehensive list, but ones I’ve noticed so far. I’ll probably edit the section about his usage of particles later since I still need to check them
Judar often shortens verb conjugations in his casual/informal speech style.
Characters like Judar, Xanxus, (and Enzan occasionally) use shortened verb conjugations, colloquials (casual forms) of verbs. This is very typically masc. Rougher masc charas often do this
Ex.
いらない (Iranai, "Don't need/want [it]") (Plain negative form) → Iran or Iranee (いらん/いらねえ, “Don’t need/want [it]”) (Shortened casual/informal negative form)
いらない (Iranai) → いらん/いらねえ (Iran/Iranee)

Fan-TL (Sense Scans)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Official TL (Viz)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I get both JuAli and AliHaku crumbs from Judar’s monologue about Alibaba. Isn’t that amazing? ^v^
I already talked about this scene plenty before, so I won't copy paste the same rambles from before.
Fan-TL is spot on with this ^^
Viz removes the first mention of "Charmed/Attracted" in the 1st page, but at least keeps it in the 2nd page.
I think the gist is kept, but the original and fan-TL are more explicit and obvious about it.
"That's right, what about Alibaba charmed them so much to make them so fixated with him?"
...
I noticed that in the last sentence, Judar's 何 (nani, "what") has a dot in place of furigana (characters that denote the pronunciation of a word, or add a certain nuance to the text).
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This is called 圏点 (kenten, "emphasis mark") or 傍点 (bouten, "emphasis mark").
This is used for emphasis, similar to how English uses underlines or italics or bold for emphasis.
It has an emphatic nuance. It's used to add emphasis on a word. Typical manga fonts used in official localizations have all words in capital letters, so Ig in this case, bold or italics could convey this kind of nuance.
...
Judar: That's right, just WHAT about Alibaba charmed Aladdin and Hakuryuu enough to make them so fixated with him?
The equivalent in English would be something like this:
(Capital letters)
Judar: That's right, just what about Alibaba charmed Aladdin and Hakuryuu enough to make them so fixated with him?
Or this
(Bold)
Judar: That's right, just what about Alibaba charmed Aladdin and Hakuryuu enough to make them so fixated with him?
Or this
(Italics)
...
Or this
(Underline)
Judar: That's right, just what about Alibaba charmed Aladdin and Hakuryuu enough to make them so fixated with him?
Oooooh you're stumped by it!!!
Alibaba's charm points of what drew others to him...
You wanna know so bad, huh?
I think I got more to say in general about this scene, but I wrote enough for now ^^
You already get the point 👍
Other Notes
Me: Some of Viz’s spellings are just weird to me, like them translating Magnostadt as a direct romanization → Magnoshutatt
Magnostadt (マグノシュタット, Magunoshutatto)
For some reason???
...
Friend: God bless you Sen 😭💓💓 This is all really fascinating to read
Me: You're welcome! English is so BORING to me as a language when it comes to things like this, because everyone sounds the same. You're either normal or you're cowboy. Yeehaw /lh
Vietnam has a lot of dialects and speech quirks! The main ones are the North, South, and Central Vietnamese dialects. And they have many variants depending on the area
I love how languages like Vietnamese and Japanese can express things like character traits and personality, etc., in speech.
I love how it can convey the "vibes" that a character gives off right away, just from their speech style/patterns.
Yakuwarigo ("Role Language"), fictional characters' dialects/speech styles in Japanese, is SOOO interesting, and English doesn't have a proper equivalent for it.
This is part of why I wanted to learn Japanese. THIS conveys things like character traits and different speech styles SO MUCH more.
Also keep in mind that I’m doing these quick literal TLs quickly based on my interpretation of the text, and that I’m still learning JP, so I can make mistakes 🙏
If you notice any, feel free to correct me!
Resources
If you’d like to learn more about Japanese pronouns in an IRL context, see these links:

Japanese particles
Do note that Role Language in fiction can differ partially and/or a lot from usage in IRL contexts.
In fictional characters’ dialects, 貴方/あなた (Anata, “You”) is considered a neutral or polite/formal pronoun (depending on the context)
IRL, it’s rude to call someone with 貴方/あなた (Anata, “You”) because “it sounds accusatory to pound the listener with ‘You’ every sentence”

Imagine the first time the Varia showed up to visit Tsuna and his guardians during school hours. Just to see if the UA program can be Varia approved.
It takes Izuku to ask Tsuna
" Tsuna-kun, who are they ?"
".....my family?"
Everyone in class 1A say together "WHAT?"
" well, Xanxus is my cousin on my paternal side of the family and the rest are family too. "
Imagine Bakugo doesn't Xanxus and try to show he is stronger only for Xanxus to knock him out.
Tsuna would be " that was Xanxus be gentle"
Xanxus fires a warning shot over their heads, surprisingly polite for him even as he scowls down at Tsuna.
“I want a real fight.”
Tsuna bit back the whining groan that threatened to escape. His whole family was full of violence obsessed maniacs and he was the one that always had to deal with it.
“Now?” He couldn’t help but ask. He was, technically, still in the middle of a class.
Xanxus cocked his gun.
Tsuna was in the air a second later, dodging wrath flames and exchanging blows that were a bit too strong for what most would consider a friendly spar.
Below Reborb was cheerfully explaining to a stunned and slightly terrified 1-A all about the tactics of an aerial battle using the brawl above him as an example

About honorific titles and the suffixes add to name in Japanese. With KHR!
In Japan, honorific titles or suffixes add to names when conversing with a person whom you have just met. It isn't used depending on the person's age or personality, but it may give the impression of rudeness or aggression. It's rarely lack, between adults and never lack in a business situation.
I must speak stereotypically because the era in which KHR was serialized is different from today, but the actual trend today are not much different either.
さん(San)
This is a very useful and most common honorific title. It can be used for all genders and ages, or for formal situation and everyday life without any problems. Basically, it's an expression of distance including positive means. This can be used any person like juniors, classmates, or business partners.
For example, Tsuna feels Dino is friendly, but calls him as "Dino-san". This is use of "San" to older people than him. Adding "San" to older people than me is a common practice that has almost become a formality.
Or when he met Chrome a second time, he confused "Chrome-san? Dokuro-San...? What should I call you?". This is "San" for someone you have never met before or for someone has distance. In most cases, "San" is add to last name, but "Chrome Dokuro" is not a Japanese name, it made Tsuna more confused.
様/さま(Sama)
This is a more polite honorific title than "San". It is used for formal business partners and customers, not for friends nor for bosses or people you have never met before. The original word has the meaning of respect and is sometimes used for call their name people who are refer to "master" or "lord" in English. It's rarely used in a personal relationship in reality.
Chikusa and Chrome calls "Mukuro-sama", Levi had called "Xanxus-sama" , and Kikyo calls "Byakuran-sama". These are typical uses of "Sama", They really respect their boss.
The following two have no meaning of respect. It is a suffix added after the name. They may be used formality nuances or as nicknames. Both are used for children mostly, but sometimes to adults up to about age 30. Children calls a each other uses these suffx they have just met as it also formally. It is possible that it will become a nickname and continue to call with these. Or it may also be used by parents against their children.
くん(Kun)
Traditionally, it uses for boy mostly. It's used more often from women to men than from men to men. And this has also a little quiet nuances, so it is not often used for KHR characters, most of whom never quiet. It may also be used by a superior to call a subordinate.
However as you know, Tsuna calls Gokudera "Gokudera-kun" as a friend, not as a subordinate. In his case, he uses it as a friend, like when Tsuna calls CEDEF member Basil "Basil-kun".
ちゃん(Chan)
Traditionally, it uses for girl mostly. This use a common expression between women. It is rarely used formally with men, but is sometimes used as a nickname all gender.
So, it's not strange for Byakuran calls to his adult best friend as "Syo-chan". This is a common way to call a man add "Chan" as a nickname.
Or Kyoko and Haru call each other "Kyoko-chan" "Haru-chan". They are very close, but have been calling each other this ever since they met. This is another good example of "chan" being established as a nickname. The suffix may be lost by getting to close, but it depends on their personalities.
KHR Japanese characters often uses honorific titles or suffix, but Italian characters doesn't use it. It's not surprising considering the culture, but interesting. Yes, Dino called Iemitsu "Iemistu-san" once. Why does he still have no plans to build a house in Japan?

‘Story time.’ + 🤡
meme // accepting
send 'story time' + an emoji and my muse will tell you about a situation that's happened to them where they felt that general emotion. 🤡 - playful
Byakuran can name quite a few times where he felt a little bit playful, a little mischievous even.
Like the time he pulled Mukuro-kun’s eye out, that was quite fun. Oh, or the time he put marshmallows over his parfait and then crumbled a cookie over top? Devious.
He also feels especially playful every time he bothers Xanxus over the comms. It’s always so amusing to annoy the stern Varia leader, even more so when there’s absolutely nothing he can do through the screen.

Hello~ question for admin of this blog
Who are your comfort characters/fictional others?
One more question! Who are your favourite characters to write for on this blog?
Hello there, anon dear! Thanks so much for popping into my inbox and I'm flattered it's because of your interest in little ol' me. That's really sweet of you to be curious. I'll answer the second question first and the one about my comfort characters/fictional others, I'm going to hide under a cut just because there's a lot of them and I am just going to stick to the ones pertaining to the fandoms I write for on here because otherwise, I could write pages and pages (with Tennant on Doctor Who and the glory that is Donna being at least a good ten page dissertation because like oh my god, I have too much love, and Shawn and Gus from Psych being at least five because again, their characters and that bromance makes me cry from sheer happiness at times).
Going into the characters I love writing about on the blog, I've actually handled this same question a handful of times over the years and it has and will continue to change every time haha. The fair truth of it is that my favourite characters or the ones I'm the most eager to write about change very often, sometimes even by the day or week. It really depends on my mood at the time I come onto the blog and what's going on in my life or my rereads or in general what character or fandom I'm really feeling what asks are going to pique my interest. And honestly, with the nature of the blog I run, that's actually a pretty good thing as there's normally at least one or two asks that are about characters I'm at least a little in the mood to write for at the time.
Now we'll on to fictional others and comfort characters, hidden below under the cut, because even though I've kept them to strictly the fandoms I write for on here, this is definitely long and wordy!!
KHR has always been a long time love of mine and with it's impressively large cast of characters and the fact I've mentioned before that my favourites for this fandom are ever shifting, is it any surprise that my fictional others in it change constantly too.
Tumblr media
However, Spanner, Shoichi, Byakuran, Shamal, YamaPapa, Kusakabe, Basil, Squalo, Enma, Chikusa, and Skull are all pretty much mainstays. Like, no matter what, I love them and getting reminders of their existence sends me into spirals of self-shipping goodness because I love each and all of them so much, both solo and in polyships with other passing flames.
For comfort characters, I will say that I always have a lot of thoughts on, affection for, and feel a real connection with Gokudera and Xanxus both and, even if what I write about them or headcanon strongly for those characters isn't always to everyone's tastes, they are my comfort characters in something that is, to me, a comfort fandom overall. Literally, this universe, this world and these characters are my safe place and my imaginary home more than any other.
In K Project, I actually have a handful of fictional others -
Tumblr media
Bandou, Dewa and Fujishima are all fictional others for me, while the rest of HOMRA's members, save maybe Yata because at times I'm neutral, other times I like him, are all comfort characters in general for me.
Much like KHR, Nanbaka has a really wide cast of characters and is another fandom where I have multiple fictional others that I trade in between.
Tumblr media
Sometimes I love thinking of a polyship with all of the Cell 13 idiots, Hajime is always a strong fictional other of mine, Qi, and Musashi as well. In terms of comfort characters, Mitsuru, Kiji, Momoko, Hitoshi, and Samon are all comfort characters for me who either feel like friends or family depending on the character.
For Welcome to Demon School, Iruma-kun!, I do have a handful of fictional others.
Tumblr media
Of course, one of them is very obvious as he's the one I've written about the most and that is, of course, Balam! However, Jazz, Sabnock, Robin and Dali have all been fictional others for me in that universe. Clara and Sullivan are my largest comfort characters in that fandom though and they both always make me smile and feel happy, even just reading little headcanons about them or seeing cute fanart or watching little clips of them. Goemon and Soi are also comfort characters that I just want so much happiness for!
It's actually going to surprise a lot of people, considering how wide the cast of Bungou Stray Dogs is and how full of very pretty people it is, that I only have a couple of fictional others in this fandom.
Tumblr media
Fukuzawa, Ranpo, Tachihara, Steinbeck and Ango are all fictional others that I switch between, depending on my mood and such. I have a lot more comfort characters in the fandom though. Chuuya, Oda, Dazai, Lucy, Lovecraft, Kunikida, and Higuchi are all hugely comfort characters for me and depending on what is going on in my life or in my head, I like to imagine one or several of them just kind of having a meal with me, listening and giving advice or going and doing fun things with me, etc.
I don't have a lot of fictional others in Servamp.
Tumblr media
Sakuya was, is, and will probably continue to be my biggest fictional other in that fandom and one I think about a fair amount and have used in crossovers that I think about in my head, with a polyship with Mikuni and Tsurugi being the only other fictional other relationship I have in that fandom. I do have a fair few comfort characters though. Tsurugi is a comfort character, even when I don't have him as a fictional other, as is Kuro, Lily, Misono, and Uncle Tooru, who I would love to have as a parental figure!
I've had the same fictional others in Saiyuki for years and years now,
Tumblr media
either imagining a wonderful polyship with Hakkai and Gojyo or Dokugakuji. I'm going to surprise everyone though in admitting that in terms of comfort characters, it's always Goku for me, as he feels like a dear little brother to me at this point.
Again, Eyeshield 21 has such a huge cast of pretty characters, so it surprises even me that I don't have more fictional others in it. Monta was my first fictional other in the fandom and still is my biggest one. I love my monkey king! A polyship with the Kongo twins is also a huge fictional other relationship in the fandom though. Kid, Musashi, Kuroki, Gaou, Taka, and Karin have all been fictional others for me throughout the many rereads of the manga though. I do have a lot of comfort characters in the fandom though - Hiruma, of fucking course, but also Yamato, Mizumachi, Tetsuma, Riku, Sakuraba, Mamori, Juumonji, and especially Yukimitsu, who I will always love so very much and who I wish I was more like!
I think I've said this before but I think Rowen from Ronin Warriors was among my very first fictional others and he still remains a huge one for me, even after all these years. Cye and Kento are my big comfort characters from that fandom though.
I have a fair amount of fictional others in Kekkaishi to be honest. Makio, Yukimasa, Shuu, and Fumiya have all been fictional others for me, but I think my biggest fictional other in the fandom is probably Rokurou! I do have a handful of comfort characters though. I adore Yoshimori and Masamori both, each for different reasons, and Masamori especially feels almost familial as a comfort character. Tatsuki and Miki are badass bitches I wish I was more like and who I adore, and Souji is another true comfort character for me.
It's actually going to surprise everyone. I've really only ever had one fictional other in GetBackers, for the most part.
Tumblr media
Ginji is definitely my fictional other in that universe, with Kazuki, Himiko, Akabane, Paul, and Emishi being my comfort characters.
An even bigger surprise? Black Cat is the same, despite its cast of pretty boys.
Tumblr media
Sven is the only fictional other I've ever had in that universe and is another one I like to imagine in various crossovers. In terms of comfort characters though, Eve, Lin, Jenos, Charden, and River are all comfort characters for me from this particular fandom.
When it comes to Karneval, a polyship between Gareki and Yogi is my main fictional other go-to, though I sometimes have spells where I remember how much I love Tsukitachi and imagine lovely little fictional other things with him. In terms of comfort characters though, I want Iva as a big sister and really do love Akari way too much, just not romantically.
I've never made any secret that I have a lot of comfort characters from Gangsta., with Alex, Nina, Nic, Delico, Galahad, Gawain, and Connie all being among comfort characters that help me in various ways. In terms of fictional others though? It's always one of three characters, either Dr. Theo, Yang, or Hausen.
Now Bleach has a truly massive cast of characters. Like insanely big cast, so I admit to having probably more fictional others and comfort characters from this fandom than I should. While I'm not near as huge into Bleach as I used to be, there will be spells where I fall back in love with it and these characters become a huge part of my life again.
Tumblr media
In terms of fictional others, Shinji should come as no surprise. However, Uryu, Kensei, Hisagi, Ikkaku, Akon and Ukitake have all also been fictional others from this universe. I have a lot of comfort characters from the series - Chad, Kukaku (she is a great sister and a badass), Urahara, Gin, Rangiku most definitely, Keigo, Starrk, Kenpachi, Yumichika, Kira, Hanatarou, and Renji are most of the ones I can think of.
Naruto is another one with just an insane amount of characters. Much like Bleach, I'm not as into it as I used to be, but there will be times where my love for it is reawakened and the characters start to be become a huge part of my life again. I only had a scant handful of fictional others in the universe.
Tumblr media
Kakashi was my first and longest lasting of them, Kankuro the most intense of them, but Shino, Iruka, and Jugo were also all fictional others for me at various times. I have a lot of comfort characters from this fandom though - I love imagining family type situations with Might Guy and Rock Lee. Sai, Gaara, Kiba, Hinata, Shikamaru, Itachi, Zabuza and Haku, and Kisame have also all been comfort characters for me though.
Now, given the fact that in direct contrast to the prior two, Deadman Wonderland has a relatively small amount of characters. I really only have two fictional others I've built little stories and scenarios with and two comfort characters. Senji and Rokuro are my fictional others, while Nagi and Karako are my comfort characters.
It's kind of funny, but Ouran High School Host Club also has perfectly balanced amounts of fictional others and comfort characters, three of both. Mori, Kyoya, and Nekozawa are my fictional others in that universe, with Mori being the first one I ever had but Nekozawa being the one I think about the most. Haruhi, Tamaki, and Honey are my comfort characters and I like to imagine tea dates with Haruhi when I'm facing serious decisions and she helps by giving good, solid, practical advice with a smile and support.
In Durarara!!!, I think I started out with Shizuo as a fictional other, but it was a short romantic interlude that faded to him being a great comfort character for me.
Tumblr media
Kadota is the only real lasting fictional other I have in that universe. Shinra, Tom, Erika, Walker and Anri are all comfort characters for me as well.
Okay, but given it's huge cast, it's really going to surprise people that I only have ever had two fictional others in Yu Yu Hakusho, Koenma and Kurama. However, Yusuke, Kuwabara, Misunari, Shishiwakamaru, Chu, and Sensui have all been comfort characters for me throughout the years.
Gintama has an absolutely bonkers amount of fun and wacky characters, so it's not surprising I actually have a fair amount of fictional others from it.
Tumblr media
Gintoki, Hijikata, Abuto, Banzai, and Yamazaki are all fictional others from this fandom for me. Otose is a mother like comfort character to me, Madao and Kondo best friend type comfort characters, and Okita, Zura, Zenzo, and Kamui also all comfort characters for me.
In Mystic Messenger, I definitely have a polyship with Saeyoung and Saeran as fictional others, and the only other fictional other I have is Vanderwood (I love him so much and he definitely needed a route, just saying). For comfort characters, I imagine Saeyoung a lot even just as a best friend, someone helping me and supporting me and making me laugh. V is also a huge comfort character for me and I have seen the comments saying the way I write him feels in character or asking how I come up with some of these headcanons for him and it's really because I resonate a lot with V, see a lot of myself in his character or his past traumas and mental processing, and I definitely do write some of my past or present mental states into him, along with some bits and pieces of people I've met in various therapy groups that he's strongly reminded me of, if I'm being honest.
For Ikemen Revolution, I have a handful of fictional others, Sirius being the most prominent one, but also Edgar, Kyle, and Harr. For comfort characters, Oliver is a huge one for me as well as Seth, who is another 'brother' type figure in a found family. Luka and Loki are also comfort characters for me though, each in their own way, with Loki helping me remember to stay upbeat even in the face of horrible things and Luka reminding me you can be soft and strong all at the same time.
Okay, but Blush Blush is fantastic and I love every single character. For fictional others, Nimh, Anon, Garret, Myx, and Cashew are my go-to's and it's going to really shock the fuck out of most of my followers when I admit that, other than Eli, Cole is my other big comfort character. I love retreating into platonic bestie places with both of those two whenever something happens that upsets me, because both boys would handle it so differently but both in really helpful and funny way.
Okay, I do think I'm one of the very few people who still remember Date Warp but it is such a fun and great game. I do have fictional others in it, a polyship with Linds and Rafael. Outside of those fictional others, I don't think I really have a comfort character though, to be honest.
Okay, I walked into Hatoful Boyfriend expecting it to be silly and cheesy and dumb and was not prepared for the sheer amount of mind-fucking and feels I would leave this game with. I don't really have a fictional other solidly in this universe, though I admit to playing Shuu's, Okosan's, and Nageki's routes a lot more than the other ones. Otherwise, this whole game is a comfort fandom to me and I love it and all it's weird, messy, wonderful cast of characters.
I can't even explain why I love XOXO Droplets so much, as all of the characters are deeply flawed people but I still love them regardless. I think the only fictional other I've ever had in this fandom though is Jeremy, and even then it's more platonic life-mates. Him, Bae, and Nate are my favourite comfort characters for this fandom.
I honestly think the only Greaser in The Outsiders I haven't had as a fictional other at some point in the span of time between reading the book for the first time in grade eight and now is Steve. Other than that, I have used and still use all of them as fictional others depending on my mood and my needs at the time. As far as comfort characters though, I have a lot of thoughts on Pony, Johnny, and Dally, as well as Tim because we all know how much I love me a good background character.
In Class of the Titans, both Odie and Herry have always been my fictional others, either solo or as a polyship and that has never changed, not even once through watching the show, which is really suprising for me. In terms of comfort characters though, it's Neil all the way, simply because I love imagining the theatrics and the petty suggestions he'd have about anyone and everyone who stresses me out or hurts me.
Disney's Ultimate Spider-Man is another universe where I actually switch between several fictional others, depending on my mood and my needs at the time. Danny, Sam, Werewolf By Night, Flash, and Ben have been or still are fictional others, as well as both Harry and Norman. I have a great big story in my head I keep revisiting with those two, actually. In terms of comfort characters though, both Luke and Stan the Man are where it's at as well as Coulson and Peter.
Okay, I will admit to a slight obsession with Gravity Falls. I rewatch it at least once a year, usually when I start to feel really down because overall, it's just such a comfort show for me and one that always gets me all wrapped up in it and makes me happy. In that fandom, surprising probably nobody, Grunkle Stan is my fictional other, sometimes maybe a polyship with the two Grunkles, Stan and Ford.
Tumblr media
As for comfort characters....all of them. Every single one of them, up to and including Bill because I can't think of a single character I haven't enjoyed the hell out of and haven't spent so much time thinking about. But I will say I really, really, REALLY love Mabel so much and she gives me confidence whenever I channel my 'inner Mabel' in real life.
I grew up with The Mighty Ducks movies and honestly, I think Adam was my first fictional other in this fandom, though over the years it changed to a polyship with the Bash Brothers, Fulton and Portman, who remain my fictional others in that universe.
Tumblr media
Averman, Connie, Adam, and Goldberg though? Those are my comfort characters and the ones I have so many thoughts about and love just thinking about and imagining fun little situations with!
Now, The Covenant seems to be a fandom that I am the only member of, but I absolutely adore this movie, as cheesy and corny as it is.
Tumblr media
Reid was and always will be my fictional other in this universe, with the rest of the Sons, and Kate really becoming a solid friend group for me, with Tyler being my comfort character and my best friend in that universe.
In Power Rangers Jungle Fury, R.J. was, is, and will always be my fictional other in that universe, has been since my first watch of it and I adore the fuck outta him, to be honest.
Tumblr media
But in terms of comfort characters, I really do spend just as much time thinking about them in this fandom, particularly Fran, Casey, and Dom. Casey feels almost like found fictional family at this point and I have spun out a whole past story and just this solid friendship with Casey, to be dorky and honest.
Okay, Power Rangers Ninja Storm is another one where I have multiple fictional others, and one of them is a polyship with Blake and Hunter, the other fictional other being Cam.
In terms of comfort characters though, it's Tori all the way and she is amazing and a badass bitch and I love her so goddamn much, ya'll don't even know.
In Power Rangers Mystic Force, Chip was and will always be my fictional other in that universe. Yes, I do have a thing for geeks, yes, I do have a thing for redheads. Sue me haha. However, Xander and Vida are also really big comfort characters for me in this universe, as is Phineas.
Now, I know it's really not considered okay to love Harry Potter anymore. However, I want to point out that I literally grew up on these books, with this universe. It's such a deep and enduring part of my childhood and I own all the books because they were all bought before the author's shitty personality and belief systems were brought to light and I refuse to allow my love for it to be marred by the fact that the person responsible for writing it a truly heinous individual because honestly, if everyone did that, we'd be left with very little, if any, content that we could love.
Now, honestly, I've had so many Harry Potter related fictional others through the years - the Weasley twins, Draco for a bit, Krum, Lupin, but I think Neville and Ron are the only ones who have lasted throughout all the years. I will say, I always imagined both Molly Weasley and Hagrid as wonderful parental figures to me and as comfort characters, they are still solid mainstays in my imagination, with The Burrow and Hagrid's cabin being places I can go at my most sad or unhappy or upset for comfort and safety and a soft landing.
In Sky High: When it first came out, Warren Peace was definitely my first fictional other in that universe but as I've grown older and changed, he's become more a comfort character for me, someone I imagine as a best friend, almost a brother in a wide, multi-fandom universe found family situation. He gives good advice, if stated a bit brutally and is supportive but makes me face the tough stuff because he knows I can. I don't really have a solid fictional other for this fandom, to be honest.
Now, Holes is another one that is a really old love of mine. We had to read the book for an eighth grade English class of mine and I watched the movie when it first came out. I remember in the book I really did fall in love with Zero, whereas in the movie I ended up loving both Zero and Zig-Zag and when it comes to fictional others, they're the ones I self-ship with when thinking about this universe. However, if I'm just in need of comfort characters from this fandom, Stanley is my go-to comfort character and he's the one I picture having a best friend situation with, someone who talks to me about his life, listens about mine and doesn't really give advice so much as just sympathizes and encourages me.

We need more Naruto crossover-style revenges in KHR for fuck sake! Where my OP Tsuna with a badass zanpakutou and inner hollow who straight up murders Reborn? Or kick the crap out of his 'friends' when their try to strongarm him into being their silent and obedient pawn? Or kill Dino's men when they invade his house? When they try to coerce Tsuna into going to places against his will? Or even kill Xanxus in the Ring Battles? No talking, no deals, no 'convincing', they want something and will do anything to get it, so just kill them. Make them fucking listen to you.
Or try to use Tsuna's friendship to draft powerful Elements into the Vongola. Imagine Tsuna befriending Arrancars and Shinigami and then Timoteo turns his greedy eyes to those very, very powerful people and keep trying to 'invite' them into the Family so he can order them around as servants, or try to make Seireitei/Hueco Mundo a subordinade Family to the Vongola.
And they will be forced to sacrifice and die for the Vongola, like all your loved ones. Blackmailed and threatened by Reborn and Iemitsu, forced to fight to you - no, they don't care about you - for the Vongola's Heir. And used as hostages to make you submit to the Vongola's superiority. Do it or else always ring in the air.
(Imagine those sly cunning fuckers with their emotional manipulation 'aren't you his friend? don't you want to help Tsuna-kun? He's Vongola. You should help the Vongola.' and 'this belongs to Tsuna-kun, therefore its belongs to the Vongola'. Like... if Tsuna already made a powerful group or something, they will 'absorve' it into greedy Vongola. Or powers/weapons? They will demand to hand over to them and teach them their powers.)
Timoteo would be salivating at the thought of having those people in Vongola for him to order and manipulate around. Tsuna don't have a backbone to protect his friends. Vongola thinks they are are their disposal to order around as they want.
I saw this happened in crossovers with both Kurosaki Ichigo and Emiya Shirou, Reborn begin his usual manipulative jerk self and pissing off god-like begins and THEY DO NOTHING.
Or Timoteo demanding to hand over the zanpakutous for the superiority of Vongola? Or trying to force Urahara to make him stuff? Attempt to force a shinigami to marry to produce strong flame users? Order Tsuna to teach his spirit powers to others to make Vongola members stronger? Bleach Shinigami are in a level far greater than even the Vindice, old fucker would drooling at the thought of having those people for him to order around. He's a power hungry and greedy asshole, a cunning and ruthless control freak. And he does not like being told 'no'.
Forced Recruitment seens to be norm given Tsuna's situation.
I read so many crossovers where Reborn manipules/threats/blackmail to help/join Vongola or for daring speak up against him, or is confronted by people far stronger than him (like Emiya Shirou, Ichigo and Urameshi Yusuke) and THEY DO NOTHING, JUST BEAT THE CRAP OUT OF REBORN FOR FUCK SAKE I AM DONE.
Why the fuck this fandom has a problem with fighting Reborn? He's pretty weak in comparison with most fandoms, when he finds Tsuna, just fight him. When there a history of Tsuna being hunted in some way there is the 'ah, he found me, now I have to go with him', uh...no? You don't?

[ID: Screenshots from the anime Katekyo Hitman Reborn.
Images 1-6: Mammon says, “After Xanxus was frozen by Vongola IX, he was secured beneath Vongola HQ. And it’s said that after the Zero Point Breakthrough placed on him melted, there were seven small burn marks on the floor. I can’t be certain who performed the actual act, but those marks were more than enough to form a hypothesis.”
Images 7-8: Two Cervellos standing next to each other.
Images 9-11: Vongola Nono says, “At last we meet, Tsunayoshi-kun... This happened all because of my own weakness. My weakness woke Xanxus from his long slumber...”
Images 12: A Cervello saying, “We will never interfere.”
Images 13-17: Xanxus says, “Cer... vello... Just like you wanted... Happy your prophecy came true?”
The Cervello says, “I’m sorry, sir, but this was neither our wish nor a prophecy we made. It was all decided from the start.” /End ID]
[Plain text: “cervello sus: a post of evidence“ in big text. /End PT]
oh that’s my headcanon too!! well, slightly to the left haha. there’s another great theory about the cervellos being tied to the giglio nero, but personally i think they work under kawahira.
in the last arc kawahira says he’d rather not interfere with human matters, but does take on personas to do that when need be, i.e., when the trinisette is at risk. he also lets that other guy (i don’t remember his name lol) represent him during the representatives battles instead of directly taking charge of it. so 1) kawahira would rather not show his face directly if he can help it at all, and takes on personas when he can’t help it, and 2) he isn’t against working with others and having them do the work for him. and to me, that’s where the cervellos come in.
that’d also explain quite a bit about the cervellos, like how they only appear to oversee matters about the trinisette, and then disappear right after until they’re needed again; and how no one ever knows who they are or where they come from (or disappear back to again for that matter) whenever they appear. also how they’re not always on the same side, but are always on the side that best lets them look over the trinisette.
it’d also give legitimacy to and make trustworthy the fact they claim to be neutral, and thus able to be impartial judges. because if their only personal motive is to make sure the trinisette ends up in the rightful hands, however the ones fighting over it go over how to decide that, then independently of whether they want to or not, taking sides would actively go against that objective. (now it’s hard to say they didn’t take sides during the varia arc all the same, but arguably they still saw to it the ones who ended up with the rings had to undoubtedly earn it and prove they were their rightful bearers, and in the case of the sky ring, was chosen and accepted by it in turn.)
and finally, how despite no one trusting them or being willing to recognize and acknowledge their authority and legitimacy, their authority and decisions still are laws at the end of the day, and are lasting and accepted and abided by.
like, considering all the distrust towards them during the varia arc, and the disregard to what they had to say from even the varia, as well as the important figures involved who’d have had non-negligible and an undoubtedly legitimate authority and power to their words unlike with the cervellos (reborn, iemitsu), you’d think tsuna & co could just have chosen to not participate in the rings battles. or xanxus & co could have disregarded the cervellos’ decision and forced a rematch. well, maybe not right after they lost because they were in no conditions to and the odds were against them then, but you know, sometime after that. all around they were more than enough reasons during the varia arc for the cervellos to be completely dismissed no matter what they said (and despite even nono's seal giving them the highest authority of anyone present, because like they immediately argued against it, they could have forced that seal out of him), but instead they all went through it by abiding to the cervellos’ rules and decisions. and when they declared tsuna as the winner, it seems that was that for both vongola and the mafia worldwide. a naturally unquestionable and legitimate fact.
likewise with the choice game. tsuna & co didn’t have to go along with the cervellos’ decision so easily. to take it as fact and law they could do nothing against, even if, admittedly, they lost somewhat fair and square. especially when, if nothing else, this time the cervellos were clearly on their enemy’s side from the beginning.
but on that note, isn’t it interesting that it’s uni, sky arcobaleno uni, who’s the only one with the authority to decide what to make of the trinisette, who undoes their decision and voids the result of the choice game? and not only the cervellos take it in stride, but they completely disappear from the conversation and from the rest of the future arc as soon as uni appears. which makes sense if you think about how there’s no need for two overseers of the trinisette being there at the same time to do the same thing. especially when in this case, the hierarchy over who has the last word over the trinisette would be like this: kawahira > sky arco > cervellos.
so yeah, if we say the cervellos work under kawahira for the benefit of the trinisette, it’s pretty consistent with the manga lore as a whole and how things played out when the cervellos were involved, but to stay on the matter at hands, here’s how i personally think the varia arc played out!
xanxus attempts a coup and gets frozen as a result, losing his right to be a vongola decimo candidate. and of course he was never going to become vongola decimo no matter what, can’t be, which is the crux of the arc, but only a few people knew that and the reason why he can’t. which means, should tsuna have had received the vongola rings normally, wouldn’t there have been people who’d be against it? especially when xanxus was the favorite decimo candidate? and wouldn’t they have fought him over it, risking the rings to end up damaged or never ending up in the hands of their next rightful bearers after nono & his guardians? so suddenly, there was the need for tsuna to end up with the rings in a way that’d be unquestionable and safe for the rings, and they decided to use xanxus for that.
either the cervellos or kawahira or nono himself with his guardians use the rings to let him out of the ice, and nono, having been let on as to why they needed to do that (either only to some extent or fully or even not at all now i think about it, but either way, in the case he's not the one doing it, he still knew it’d happen beforehand), lets them/agrees to it. i know there’s a popular theory where nono and/or iemitsu are the ones who decide to use xanxus to assert more securely tsuna’s title as vongola decimo, but i think that weakness nono talks about is how he went along with freeing xanxus from the ice, fully knowing it was only so he could be used, and that it was going to put tsuna & co in danger. because, presumably, he felt guilty and ashamed about freezing him to begin with, and/or not having it in him to kill him instead which would have been more merciful, and also about how he fucked up parenting him before that which led the both of them to that situation. which’d also track with my other headcanon that nono loses his three sons during the eight years xanxus was frozen, hence all the more reasons why he can’t stop himself from letting him be freed from the ice/agreeing to free him from it. and if not for any reason involving xanxus, then as the current bearer of the sky vongola ring, which is part of the trinisette, nono had the duty to see to it its succession would go smoothly.
also in this case, his flame seal giving the cervellos full authority over the rings/rings battles would also, in fact, have been given to them freely! nono would have given it to them before letting xanxus capture him and put him in the gola mosca. (because let’s be real, he most definitely also let that happen, out of guilt and shame once more, and like, as a wish to repent too, i guess. like, he managed to beat xanxus when he was in perfect condition, but xanxus fresh out of eight years frozen in ice is suddenly too much to handle? for vongola nono? even if he was apparently sick at the time or whatever? i don’t think so.)
xanxus one hundred percent realizes he was only freed so he could play puppet, but he chooses to play along because it can benefit his own plans too. and i know it’s another popular theory that the varia lost on purpose for one reason or another, but i for one think they all legitimately lost. i do think xanxus wasn’t expecting for the cervellos to call him the winner no matter what or what he’d do to make them, while on the other hand he didn’t expect for the vongola ring itself to reject his blood and forbids him to wear it, but to me he still gave it his all to win the rings battles. i mean, just look at the state he ends up in when all is said and done. how angry he turns when it’s clear he lost, how desperate he turns then. no, xanxus needs to win the ring battles and does do everything he can to achieve that, even knowing he was doomed to fail from the beginning no matter what. but we won’t get into the mess of his motives and emotional state during the varia arc here lol.
as for the prophecy he talks about, the cervellos say themselves he just interpreted their words as such by himself. so i think said words he interpreted as a prophecy of some sort can be something simple like “we’re not here to help you/make sure you end up as vongola decimo, and can’t do that anyway even if we wanted to. also the sky ring, if not the other rings too, has a rightful bearer, and if it’s not you then there’s nothing you can do about it”. or something similar. which’d also track with them saying it was all decided from the start, because there is no denying tsuna is the rightful bearer of the sky ring. and probably would still be even if he wasn’t the last legitimate heir.
the cervellos having the mare rings can also have a simple reason behind it. it’s said they were left with sepira and the giglio nero on top of sepira being the sky arco, but maybe as the earthling blood lessened as the generations passed, the giglio nero donne weren’t strong enough anymore to both be the sky arco and safely look over the mare rings, and that’s when they were given to the cervellos instead. either that, or the cervellos took it upon themselves to give byakuran the rings in that one future only. because like, in the future we see play out, we do see byakuran needing to have uni on his side so he could get his hands on the mare rings. and i don’t think it’s ever said when the cervellos give him the rings in that one future? if it’s before or after irie triggered his ability? but if it’s after, then maybe it disturbed the balance of the world/the trinisette somehow, or because of the plans byakuran had for that ability, there was the need to give him the mare rings? or something.
so yeah, personally i don’t think that the events of the varia arc were manipulated, more than the end result was set from the beginning no matter how they’d play out. for no other reason than the khr world must abide by the rule that only a select few people, only a chosen few people are able and allowed to wear and bear the trinisette.
now the way those events played out were most definitely meddled with at the very least, by the cervellos (meaning kawahira too per my theory), nono and xanxus alike. but still, i think the cervellos were simply there to see to it the vongola rings would end up in the rightful hands, and make sure those hands were, in fact, the rightful ones.
cervello sus: a post of evidence
IM SO DUMB OMG
So I was re-watching KHR episodes and I went back to the Varia Arc.
We all remember this, right?

KHR!xTolkien AU coz why not
The other day in @cywscross Discord, a certain someone (@tiredfictiongate ) had said: I want Tsuna as a Tolkien elf
Alouette (me), being one of the few Tolkien nuts (tho am certainly not an expert) active in Cross’ Discord be like: Challenge Accepted.
So lo! I have a few versions of Sawada Tsunayoshi being a Tolkien Elf!
1) Nana is a Tolkien elf isekai’d to KHR! World.
- Name could be anything, but it’s certainly not Nana (Sindarin: mom). Iemitsu probably heard her name very wrongly or has incompetency issues with his ears, who even knows. But her only record of her existing is possibly from the wedding certificate with Iemitsu.
Addendum: Reborn thought that Tsuna was very impolite in calling his mother with her name, but both Tsuna and Nana (who just uses that name as a nickname at this point, probably) just told him point blank that Nana means mom in her native language.
Addendum 2:
Reborn: Where’s your mom from?
Tsuna: oh, she came from (insert elven city name like Ost-in-Edhil)
Reborn, who has basically traveled the world due to his hitman occupation: where the fucketh is that.
Addendum 3: If Mammon is around, then they will recognize the name. They’re a fantasy nerd. Note that it’s really not the same as Verde who’s a science nerd.
Addendum 4: Tsuna and Reborn travelling: Reborn probably couldn’t sit on Tsuna’s shoulder or head due to Tsuna’s smol size. Hey, bebey walking side by side!
- Tsuna is a Peredhel (half-elven). Everyone possibly would accept Tsuna as he is, bullying notwithstanding. The teachers from elementary school up to high school would think that he got genetic disorder due to how slow he grows. Possibly would have a mother-name, but who even knows with his mom’s lineage. I’m under the impression that father-name/mother-name thing is of the Noldor culture, since I never read the Laws and Custom of the Eldar due to the book not existing physically in my nearby book store. Got to search online when I got the time/money...
Addendum: He’s now Hibari’s emotional support animal, er, child sorry. Congratulations(?)
Addendum 2: Fon (Hibari’s probably relative tho unknown from which side of fam) is aware of Tsuna due to his proximity to Hibari, possibly know enough that Tsuna is a possible heir to the bloody Vongola throne, but not much about Nana to know that he’s a half-elf. To be fair, Fon really didn’t focus on fantasy realm like Mammon does; he’s a martial artist, know more than 100 styles and more than half is possibly so obscure - what does he need of fantasies in the first place? Or well, there’s not even a possibility of an elf from another world isekai’ing to his world??
Addendum 3: What are the chances his enemies (read: Mukuro, Xanxus, etc) thinking like: Oh God I’m going to possess/kill/etc a child? M: I’m no better than the Famiglia I’m from!/X: A BEBEY AS MY RIVAL? U KIDDING? etc- Oh man the possibility of sheer chaos his (seemingly apparent) age will bring to his enemies.
- He’d be an actual minor when he’s a mafia boss. Upon 50 years old (of which a Tolkien elf majority; D&D is 100 years old - and him being half-elven, prolly less than 50 but more than 18/21 tbh), he’d be the youngest looking aside from possibly Chrome; his other Guardian possibly would look like they’re old enough to be his parent(s).
Addendum:
Nana, seeing Iemitsu telling Tsuna that this or that girl is pretty: Nana: Tsu-kun, I expect you to marry after you're 500 years old. You're too young to marry now.
Someone who hears what Nana said: ???????
Addendum 2:
Rando A: omfg Decimo is surely a demigod
Rando B: ??? Why do you think that?
Rando A: he doesn’t age and it’s been 50 years since he stepped up as Decimo
Rando B: omfg u rite
- Bonus: Skull and/or Bermuda are also elves. Skull being Maglor and Bermuda is somehow twice-cursed being his appearance and the Arcobaleno they both got. Tho who Bermuda is, it’s basically anyone’s guess. Imagine if the elves found each other, then it’s basically that one spiderman meme.
Addendum: No one would believe Skull can sing. Especially not as “the best singer of their people”. Look at how he whines and everything.
Addendum 2: So imagine if the Man in Iron Hat knowing this fact and just gives an “impossible mission” to find the “one with voice that can cleave gold”. Skull of course knows that the jerk is referring to him (to those who don't know, his mother name Makalaurë means "Gold-Cleaver", as a nod to his voice). But him being a showman/stuntman, would just act ignorant as usual. There comes a time of which the team comes near him when singing tho..
Lal: !!! I heard a voice in this area!
Reborn: I also heard it-
(goes to the area and find Skull/Maglor)
Lal & Reborn:
Lal & Reborn: prolly not this guy, we're wasting our time
Skull: Oi!
Addendum 3: If Nana knows Skull is Maglor be like.
Nana: Skull? Oh, you mean Maglor?
Everyone: whomst
Nana: I swear he's a performer at heart. Do you know he's known as the best singer of all Noldor?
Everyone: whomst??? what?? ????
Nana: He just got a slight change of occupation from what I see so far
Everyone: ?????????????????
2) Tsuna get reincarnated to a random elf. Probably the shortest points I get in this realm of Tsuna-possibilities.
- Kinda depends if he still have his HI or Dying Will Flames comes with him
- Nevertheless, he’s most probably getting out of the way of fighting; he likes living thankyouverymuch. Maybe takes up cooking or farming or smth as a craft. But if his friends are out there fighting, he’ll probably be famous as the only elf to punch orcs instead of. You know, use elven knifes or arrows and whatnot. Medieval elven things. But apparently not. Many people think he got high af pain tolerance or some sort of super power, but it’s really nothing like that. He just knows weak points of some armors ok.
- Somehow goes up the ranks coz his HI tells him what to do to make a sad situation into his advantage (every single time) and very famous for his HIEE’s.
- Very possibly to be thought of as a pyromaniac (somehow his fists always seems to be on fire? Is it some sort of enchanted gauntlet ala Istari?), enough that some other elves wonder if he’s related to the Soul of Fire also known as Fëanor AKA that one elf that makes Silmarils as the title of that one book.
3) Tsuna get reincarnated as a descendant of Finwe, most probably Gil-Galad, Son of effing Plothole.
- I think we can all agree that no matter who his dad is (coz his paternal line always changes according to Tolkien), it’s still a better dad than Iemitsu.
- Elrond and Círdan are very definite Guardians. Tho what Flames the two have is up to debate. Possible Guardian candidates: Celebrimbor, Galadriel, whoever the heck is in his court.
- Possibly in deep despair that he can’t escape the demon known as paperwork even in his second life.
- Got forcibly trained with shield, helmet, and spear (AKA Aeglos) out of deep fear from the other elves that: oh Eru, our prospective/possible/new High King is suicidal enuff to try hand-to-hand combat with the Enemy?? No no, better use a spear. And a shield. And a helmet. Surely with range and defense like that he won’t die. Right? Right??
Note: If he got his HI, then he probably won’t die, spear or no spear.
- Thank Eru that black and white is somewhat clearly defined rather than the mess called Mafia in his past life?? Mafia clearly messed up his moral compass
- Tho still, he thinks he got some bone against the Valar: do they really need to sit on their dais for literal centuries before actually think to help the people who aren’t in Valinor? Really? Is it laziness or what? You got the biggest, meannest, baddest of the Valar (or not; however you call Morgoth, really) in this side of Middle Earth (of which you just let him go from your prison in the first place) and y’all just rest your butts in “paradise” without even thinking to help us? Is it spite to Fëanor or something? How effing petty of you all: there’s more of Elves in Middle Earth aside from Fëanor and his lot??
- WHY WOULD YOU LET SAURON FREE-

"Here's the fact of the matter, Tsunayoshi-kun, you can scream, thrash, and beg all you want, climb to the rooftops and wail, but you cannot force Harmony with any Flame if they have any opposition to it in them."
Tsuna quietly absorbed that info, parsed through it, and quietly sank into a crouch as it all came crashing down.
What he knew of Sky Flames, and his own Seal, and the entire incident with Nono and Xanxus, the pure resentment in Viné's tone whenever she spoke of the man he vaguely remembered calling 'Jii-chan', what little he knew of other Cloud's, Hibari-san and the few subordinates Viné kept on hand.
"Your Flames find my Sky sickening, don't they? They stifle you." He pieced together, picking his words carefully, making sure that he didn't insult her in an implication that his Flames didn't find hers appealing.
They didn't, they never would, Viné burned and burned and burned with such intensity that his own quiet Sky, the Harmony he was trying so hard to establish, was practically hiding in the metaphorical corner.
(Tsuna's Flames were desperate, he knew that distantly, acknowledged it in a way that few would, he wanted Harmony while only just barely grasping what it meant.
And he knew, in a way that ached and festered, that it wasn't just the sheer incompatibility between them that made Viné's Cloud leave scars every time it brushed against his Sky.
Something Wrathful and ugly had seeped into her Flame's so deeply it was as though they were one and the same, and yet, never once did it seem as though it weighed on her...
If anything, it was as though it aided in the airy quality of how she moved.)
"I know your kind Tsunayoshi-kun," she said, approaching something almost gentle, "and I have spent my entire life under men who thought themselves so much better then the last one, who thought I was glass, something to be put on a shelf to look pretty until I gave them an heir," she wets her lips, her revulsion not quite escaping him despite her desperate attempt at kindness, "at which point I would do nothing more then waste away in a bed, die, and be remembered as some great tragedy by them and their sons, I watched it happen with my mother, I refused to live it myself."
Here she sunk to his level, hands clasped over her knees.
"Your Sky treats me like fragile glass even now Tsunayoshi-kun, you still see me as I appear, this frail ghost that's barely there."
Her hands cupped his cheeks.
"My Sky was not subtle in his Courting of my Flames, less was he interested in subtle flirtations," she explained easily, thumb smoothing over the curve of his cheek, "he wanted the parts of me that were serrated and jagged, ugly and hidden, bloody and rotting."
A smile, a cruel turn of the lips, so very sharp.
"And so, I decided I wanted to cut hard enough to make him second guess it all."

Oh, right. This is a public conversation, isn’t it? Byakuran can hear the muted shuffle of poor subordinates in the room through the comms as they were forced to listen to this exchange. That makes things infinitely more exciting.
“Who said anything about mind games? There’s a time and place for those, and even I know some people are too dense for them.” Byakuran chuckles. “I’m being awfully serious right now with my proposal for you, Xanxus-kun,” he continues. The overfamiliar, diminutive honorific rolls easily off his tongue, knowing how much it would aggravate the other even more.
The visual isn’t extremely clear, but Byakuran does think he sees the slightest flush of colour in Xanxus’s face, which encourages him even further. Even if their exchange didn’t culminate in anything in the end, watching the Varia leader squirm like that was reward enough. How far could he nudge Xanxus towards playing this little game together? While his pursuit of world domination peace was still of utmost priority, there’s nothing wrong with indulging a little bit here and there. And unfortunately for Xanxus, his unapproachable demeanour made it all the more tantalising for Byakuran to want to tease him.
“I’d prefer if our negotiations could be a little more private, however.” His words are accompanied by an exaggerated sigh. “Surely, you’d be more amenable to that as well? I can tell you’re holding back. Imagine if we weren’t enemies for a while. There’s no rule that says we can’t have a little fun.” His words are thinly veiled invitations at this point, if anyone cared to look a little deeper into them.
@vanaglorie
“You should know your position. Kid. I’m not going to be precipitated in your mind game no matter how much you put your effort in, if you’re trying to buy my loyalty.”
As this young boss was much younger than him and Xanxus still remember the payment of destructive invitation from Rasiel. The hate towards Byakuran tempted him to shoot every monitors in the room down. The male’s speaking increased both of awkwardness and embarrassment among his subordinates after every words from the talkative enemy appeared on each monitor one by one.
Actually, this recording system was his idea— the brilliant device for Varia’s stealth mission but it unexpectedly shamed him because of the ambiguity. Those texts painted both of his scarred cheeks with the crimson colour while the heat warmed his neck a little by little; Xanxus couldn’t fool himself, he wasn’t a child and he really had the forbidden imaginations in his head.
No. Not this time, no. He almost punched his own face yet his stupidity would raise the curiosity of everyone. The conference was /public/ and he had to report Decimo about everything; Xanxus knew this wasn’t the good idea when the hateful flirtation became the main point. He was too lazy to imagine of Vongola’s administrators; after all, the only good feeling from the screen was— they spoke the same language. None of them cared about the peace as much as their disadvantages like professional mafias.
“Being patience for the great chance isn’t the uselessness. I will not forgive myself, if my single move can ruin my family, seeing you by myself isn’t my problem. You need to improve your killing skills first.”
