BG3 Confessions of a Durge 1 “Oh yeah, I have Darkvision”

A stupid mini comic/doodle i use as warm up for drawing. Idk why but I imagined this would be Solar’s ingame response to Halsin when he confesses in Act 3. Solar can rip and tear all she wants but for lore some reason she's scared of the dark and would prefer just a little light during nighttime activities. I also headcannoned this as to why the tav/durge always sleeps at the camfire instead of their own tent.

Shadowing (CW Era)

I wanted to draw young Padawan Kai geeking out to Oz about the fact that he almost died while shadowing other Jedi before rejoining his own master.

And Oz in the meantime is going to request less high flying shadow missions, or else he's gonna have to dye the gray hairs more often.(We love an overprotective dad)

“Back to the beginning”

Going to start drawing more young Kai and Talzin before Order 66 (which is why Talzin doesn't have his white tattoos since he doesn't get those until right after order 66) and more so during the clone wars. They're about 15 here. Kai in his padawan robes makes me so sad cause look at him before trauma 😭 so adorable. And Talzin makes me cry in general, baby is in his prime anger issues phase.

Ik I haven’t been as active as I said I was, figures that as soon as I get my shit together everything else falls throu 😭 But I'm trying to be more active, I miss being able to interact with my online friends and just draw in peace. I'm going to try and repair my relationship with social media too, I used to always worry about when to post to get more engagement but now I just want to post without really giving 2 shits. If someone finds it then yay if not then on well imo. I just miss drawing so much and so much shit has been happening this year right after I thought everything was going to be stable 😓 so of course the only way I cope is by drawing my ocs being traumatized instead of me (because therapy isn't free and this is)

Reference sheet “Talzin on Ra”

It occurred to me that I NEVER uploaded Talzins reference sheet from Art fight last year. I'm pretty sure every time I remembered I forgot, I would tell myself to post it and then surprise surprise I would forget again ☠️ I figured I should post it now before I go and post a newer sheet.

Also sorry for nothing new, I've been working on stuff for my dnd group (forever DM rip my life) that includes a setting for a second campaign and finishing up things in our current campaign (3-year campaign coming to an end soon 😭) so I've just been very busy and my creative energy has been divided.

HAPPY PRIDE!

Happy Pride to everyone!!

Nothing new to post right now but instead I'll share my older pride pieces. First one is my Pride flag Tiefling from 2023 and the second is of my star wars OCS with their pride flags from 2022. And I want to just put out there that Talzin (right) is Cis and Bi, and Kai (left) is Trans and Pan.

I've never really posted anywhere before that Kai is Trans. There was just a lot holding me back from it and just saying it instead of keeping it on my head that involved a lot of my own confidence in my connection with my gender and unlearning the whole "You need to look/do certain things to be trans" idea. It reflected onto Kai but over the course of last year and the first half of this year I've become more confident and sure of my gender identity 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️

“WIP Wednesday”

I thought I could start sharing some WIPs on Wednesdays as a way to try and keep myself active on here for weeks when I don't have any finished art to share. I'll try and explain some of them but lots of these sketches and squiggles I will most likely only return to again when I'm in the mood for em and some I'll finish right away. It's a coin toss lol.

1.) First pic is something for my BG3 Durge character Solar, it's been sitting there for a bit but I like to think I'll eventually get to it c:

2.) I've been playing the Batman Arkham games and it had me thinking of a alt suit design for Batman, I think I'll continue with it cause I really like the design and Batman

3.) A peek at a illustration Im trying to get done in time for May the 4th, it's kinda nuts but I'm making good progress (hopefully will be able to continue it while I'm on vacation next week lol)

4.) Last one is of a clone oc I've had on the brain for a while that is connected to Kai and Talzin. The Clone parent trope is just too strong I couldn't help myself 🤭 His name is Oz and he's the best unofficial step dad ever. And yes his hair is dyed the hottest of pinks

Family…but not by choice.

Showing off my Durge and Tav from BG3!! Solar(She/Her) is an Oathbreaker/ GOO Warlock and Lunar(They/Them) is a Way of the Open hand Monk/ Thief Rouge!

This is also my first piece that I've done with a new rendering style. Using more textures and layering rather then airbrushing everything. I think it matches my textured lineart really well tbh!

With the announcement of Hades II, I thought it would be neat to share this old piece I did sometime last year! (Or was it this year? I can't remember) This drawing took forever but I have a special place for it in my heart since it marks when I really started to improve in my art.

I also took this week off to visit family so things should be back to normal

Trying some new brushes and rendering techniques, I don't know how much of a difference it makes I dunno I'll try it on some different drawings and see how I feel. Character I used is a new OC of mine! They're name is Syd and their vibe is Orange tabby cat. (If you know about the orange cat jokes then you know)

Reference Sheet "Kai von Ra"

I took a brief break from drawing this month due to doing art fight and also because I got smacked with the bad luck stick this month (I got a nasty stomach virus AND I got bit by some bug while sleeping that caused an allergic reaction) so I really didn't have the energy to draw 😵‍💫 BUT I'm slowly trying to get back to it, and I'll start by posting the reference sheet I drew for Kai for art fight! Isn't he a handsome boy 🥰 I'll post my art fight attacks and Talzins ref sheet in the coming days but I'm still just kinda riding out this break until the end of July.
