hajime would be very confused at first, he'd ask if it's similar to nagito's ultimate and if it's a cycle of good and bad luck. when you told him it wasn't and shit was just constantly hitting the fan, he got a little worried.

it's usually small things like you falling face first on the ground because you forgot to tie your shoes, every animal known to man constantly attacking you or the coins falling out of your wallet whenever you tried to buy anything from a vending machine to be never seen again. yet sometimes, it would ruin dates the two of you wanted to have.

one time - when the two of you started dating - you decided to go to the beach to have a date. it was the middle summer and there weren't any clouds in the sky, yet the moment the two of you finished setting everything up it started raining. the worst part is as soon as both of you went home the sky cleared. hajime would be the type to awkwardly show up at your doorstep right after the failed date, soaking wet, asking if "you had room for two in your house".

overall, i don't think he'd take it too hard. even if some hangouts fail there's always room for more. he'd worry, of course, but not to the point where he'd restrict your movement and choices (only if you have the risk of getting ran over or something).

Makoto Naegi

he's definitely the type to be constantly worried. although he is the ultimate lucky student he can only hope that his ultimate is enough to balance yours out (which usually just ends up the two of you sharing lucky and unlucky experiences).

before going out he'd tie your shoes extra tight, make sure you have a jacket if it's cold out or an umbrella if it's raining - with a smaller, spare umbrella inside your backpack if the first one broke. bought by the man himself! he'd be the type to grab your hand before crossing the road but not let you cross unless everything was right. by this i mean, no cars in the street, shoes tied, hand held, nothing in the way.

at the start of your relationship makoto thought he was being a bit too much but when you almost got ran over as you crossed the seemingly empty road he decided he could never be too sure.

altogether, he's worrying a lot. not in an annoying way, more of a "you're my troublesome child and i'll never let you out of my sight" type of way.

oh no. the good luck? still there. not a lot though. the bad luck? double. the cycle is still there, it's just that now whenever something bad happens it's two times worse.

nagito would be very nonchalant over both your talents and not let it get in the way of your dates. for example, if it started raining heavily during a walk and he noticed it was starting to flood the streets he'd try to convince you to go buy floaties to float down the street together. hopefully his good luck comes around quickly! you don't feel like getting stuck somewhere or drowning.

Some of your friends were trans too, but you just didn't know how to come out yet. As far as you knew, no one knew you were a man, so it was surprising when you started getting love notes that referred to you as things like “handsome” or “pretty boy.” You didn't mind, of course, far from it, but they couldn't have been meant for you… could they? How would anyone know to call you those things? You couldn't help but stress about it. Maybe you'd accidentally outed yourself, or someone was making fun of you.

You started out ignoring it, but the love letters got more frequent and more concerning. What started out as some nice compliments and a bit of gay desperation had turned into the mystery author degrading himself and obsessing over you. Despite that, the idea of someone wanting you so much was enticing. He probably had some issues, but… you could totally fix him. Or not. Maybe not fixing him would be better anyway. You'd never had a boyfriend who truly saw you for who you were before, so why not give this a shot? You pushed aside all the red flags and started to draft a return letter.

For context reasons, I have to explain what has happened in the last few hours.

Today was supposed to be your first day of School at Hope's Peak Academy as the Ultimate High-school level Digital Artist.

But to everyone's dismay, some pink stuffed bunny named "Usami," who proclaimed to be your teacher, explained that you and a bunch of high schoolers you've never met are forced to go an a "heart-throbbing school trip" in this strange tropical paradise.

After she finished explaining that you all needed to collect hope fragments and get along, everyone just went their separate ways, you included.

You were about to go into the lobby of the hotel when a hand suddenly rested on your shoulder. You let out a sigh before turning around.

"Mic check... mic check... can you hear me?" Everyone froze at the strange change of atmosphere.

"Now then, sorry to keep you all waiting for so long. Let's leave all this worthless entertainment behind...

story masterlist chapter 1

(aka you start school at hopes peak high and meet nagito)

I stared up at the magnificent building, towering over me, a testament to the grandeur of Hopes Peak Academy. Its community of towers stood united, encircled by a formidable gate. The main building, radiating with a sense of mystery and possibility, beckoned me in. A wave of nervousness washed over me like thousands of bees swarming around in my stomach. I shifted my weight from side to side as I swallowed back any fears and began walking towards the front gate. If I can go to culinary school at the ripe age of 14, a high school at 16 should be no problem. Even if the so-called high school happened to be filled with a shit ton of super ultimate talented students. My new life awaited me.

As the entrance ceremony concluded, an eager anticipation filled the air. The principal's speech seemed to stretch on for an eternity, but it was a necessary precursor to the journey that awaited us. Armed with my schedule and map, I embarked on a quest to find my homeroom class. Class 77, the beginning of my hopes peak journey.

An audible sigh escaped my lips as I finally entered the classroom. The atmosphere was already electric, the students brimming with energy and enthusiasm. It was a group of extraordinary individuals, each possessing exceptional talents. Amidst the sea of occupied seats, I settled on a spot in the third row. In front of me, a boy with curly white hair caught my eye. Its fluffiness was somewhat endearing. Beside him sat a girl with radiant, flowing blonde hair, exuding a warmth I could only describe as friendly.  Perhaps, when the right moment presented itself, I'd introduce myself and attempt to befriend her.

I sank into my chair, feeling the weight of my own nervousness. I anxiously tugged at the collar of my unbuttoned chefs coat I’d warm over my uniform, trying to soothe my nerves with its familiarity. To divert attention from my own anxiety and awkwardness, I reached into my pocket and pulled out my phone. With feigned purpose, I pretended to check a text, a flimsy shield against the sheer awkwardness of being surrounded by complete strangers.

Yet, even as I tried to distract myself, the letter from this morning's mail kept nagging at my mind. Its contents beckoned me to finish reading. Unable to resist my curiosity any longer, I unzipped my backpack and retrieved the letter.

“April 6th:

First day of high school at Hopes Peak. When we get to school most of the seats are taken so we end up sitting behind a boy named Nagito Komaeda. He ends up being slightly unusual and weirding out most of the class with his unsettling personality and talent. We end up asking the teacher to change seats. Without us sitting behind him he continues to be alone without a friend to talk to during class. This time, please don't change seats.”

I looked up slightly, accidentally making eye contact with the white-haired boy.

The boy's face flushed a bright shade of red.

"Oh, sorry for staring at you for so long. I was probably being creepy. I just wanted to introduce myself," he said nervously. "I'm Nagito Komaeda, the so-called Ultimate Lucky Student. My talent isn't very impressive but I'm sure you're amazing." He said with a bright beaming smile.

"I'm Y/N, The Ultimate Pastry Chef" I introduced yourself with a small nod.

I looked back down at my phone before suddenly realizing something. My eyes widened like saucers, and I began to internally panic

'Nagito Komaeda...that was the name of the boy from the letter. There's no way.... Maybe this is just like an insane coincidence.... It has to be...' I swallowed thickly.

Working on a danganronpa x fear street au because I'm bored and I got nothing else to do, so here's a short character list for this AU! I'll be starting off with Fear Street Part 1: 1994, Part 2: 1987 & Part 3: 1666 will come at a later point.

I really recommend watching Fear Street, it's a good movie trilogy! With that, onto the list!

Heather Watkins – Sayaka Maizono

Reason I chose her is because she's the first girl you meet in game and the first girl who dies. Heather's the same way.

Ryan Torres – Leon Kuwata

I chose Leon because of both he and Ryan have some girl catcher thing going on, not to mention they both become killers. (albeit one was possessed, the other was forced)

Deena Johnson – Shuichi Saihara

In reality because the Fear Street Trilogy also counts as a LGBTQ+ film (Deena & Sam used to date), you could put anyone besides Shuichi as the main character. Reason I chose Shuichi was because Deena associates with the color blue, and she's also pessimistic and depressed at the start of the movie until the end.

Samantha Fraser – Kokichi Oma

Now, Sam and Kokichi are very different characters. One's manipulative and childish while the other doesn't like to cause trouble while being quiet. The only reason I chose Kokichi is due to a couple things, one of them being Sam living in Sunnyvale (which is a rich and safe town, and since Kokichi is the Ultimate Supreme Leader, I just put two and two together.) Second, Saiouma is a popular ship and since Shuichi is Deena in this AU, I might as well make Sam Kokichi. (But other options such as Kiibo or Kaito or any other male character Shuichi's shipped with could work too.)

Josh Johnson – Yasuhiro Hagakure

In the movie, Josh is the nerd who's all about conspiracy theories, and he's smart because he's able to piece together what's been going on with Shadyside and the killers it pumps out every decade or so. Yasuhiro's all about that conspiracy stuff, and he's somewhat of a nerd (alongside Hifumi), hence why he's Josh. His best friends that he talks to like Josh does in the movie with AOL would probably be Hifumi and Gundham.

Kate Schmidt – Miu Iruma

Kate's not an inventor, I'll give you that. But in the movie she's very smart and has a good sense of what she's doing (even after she dies). She's also a very attractive girl, so who else could fit her other than the genius with good looks and golden brains herself?

Simon Kalivoda – Kazuichi Soda

In my personal opinion, I could've chosen Mikan for Simon due to both of them being cowards and having knowledge of over the counter medicine and drugs, but it just didn't feel right given Mikan also cries a lot... which is something Simon doesn't do. So I chose Kazuichi because I thought it would be more fitting in terms of personality. (Also, both of them are simps in a way)

Sheriff Nick Goode – Nagito Komaeda

While it doesn't make much sense for Nagito to be Nick, I chose Nagito because both of them wield guns (/hj) and because both of them live a lavish lifestyle where nothing bad ever happens to them. (With some exception as an Ultimate Lucky Student aka Nagito) Then again, he could also work for Sarah Fier given both of them had one hand cut off from their body...

C. Berman – Hajime Hinata

It's implied in 1978 that C. Berman and Nick Goode had a thing for each other when they were kids, and C. Berman was very pessimistic (almost like Deena) during most of the movie. It fits very well for Hajime just like Shuichi does with Deena.

Ruby Lane – Sonia Nevermind

Halfway in the movie, Simon ends up entranced by Ruby Lane's singing which is how he ends up getting tackled and almost killed by her. I don't like to doubt that Sonia would do something similar to draw out Kazuichi if she ever decided to kill someone.

Sarah Fier – Kiyotaka Ishimaru

While it may not make sense for Ishimaru to be the witch, It's the only character I could think that would work for this AU since, and there are spoilers so don't read if you haven't seen Fear Street, Sarah Fier in the movie is a lesbian who was hung for witchcraft and had rejected a dude who loved her when she loved another woman.

It's been a busy week. Finally there's some time to spare. And what better way to spend that time than a surprise visit to s/o? I knock on the door. S/o is gonna love this

I heard a sudden knock on the door. I wasn't expecting anyone tonight, maybe it's just the neighbor looking for their cat again. I opened the door, and to my surprise, it's Komaeda. I thought he wasn't coming over until Saturday.

“Is something going on?”

“Not really. Just had some free time and wanted to spend it with you.”

Very unfortunate for me, Komaeda doesn't know I still sleep with stuffed animals. I usually know when he's coming ahead of time, so I can put them away.

Now I don't exactly have the time, hopefully I can pull this off.

I stepped aside so he could come in.

“You can take a seat in the living room and I'm gonna go..- get some snacks.”

“Okay.”

He sat down as I walked to my room, carefully closing the door.

I hurriedly started hiding my stuffed animals, thinking I wasn't taking long when it had actually been a while.

“You're taking a while, I'm gonna come in okay?”

Suddenly Komaeda spoke to me, as my heart started racing. What if he found it weird? Would he judge me? I sat with my back to my bed with my head hung low.

“Hey, what's going on..?”

I stayed quiet as he looked around.

I looked around s/o's room, trying to think about what they could be sad about.

Then it hit me, looking at their bed, which had stuffed animals on it.

I sat down next to them, putting my arm around them as they rested their head against me.

Minutes had passed.

Minutes of silence.

“Hey.”

I looked up at him.

“Your stuffed animals look cool. Can I know about them?”

You spent most of the night talking about them. :D
