Oh my GOD!!!!!!
He did it all for Scott😭😭😭
He did it for all of mutant kind actually, but mostlly for SCOTT!!!
If only you show this much care to your own son Charles...
He knew the humans are going to blam him for every thing so he took the blame for himself😭😭😭
By tricking everyone into believing that the people who were killed in that ship were real people, while they were clones of Orchis agents who invaded Krakoa and then gets killed by Sinister.
But what he did at the end was stupid tho. Why would you leave clue so people know you are not a super villian and then wipe their memory when they find out??????
Also Shout out for warren!!!! He find out first!!!! And then get his memory wiped🤦‍♀️ (really Charles? Even I can't defend you in that category) and after that he hired this girl reporter to find out the truth. Which she get memory wiped too.
Tumblr media
Now, like Cyclops after the Avengers vs. X-Men I think it's only matter of time before they give Charles his (redemption arc?).
Can we call it redemption when tecnically he didn't do anything wrong in the first place??
I thought this comic would be a rollercoaster of heartbreak and tears, but it was really good and straightforward. It filled me with hope for Charles' future.
Of course, given a bad writer doesn't come and destroy everything!!!!!
But in the end: It's the greatest gift we have: to bear their pain without breaking. And it comes from the most human part of us: hope. Charles, we need you to hope again.
Special thanks to @ouchpotatoex who give a chance to read it. ❤️❤️🙏🙏
I wrote this whole post just becouse you asked @kataosmth 😂😂

What's going on with the X-Men relaunch?
When they first used the Infinity Comic to reset Charles and Alex to their pre-Fall of X versions, I didn't think it was that big of a problem. Charles isn't appearing in comics at the moment, and the fact is that no one really cares about Alex Summers anyway. But Magneto is core cast of the flagship title. Fundamental alterations to his status quo need to be covered in that publication, not preempted by however many months in advance with digital only content that most readers will never even know exists. Even leaving aside inherent scumminess of paywalling required supplementary content, there's no indication anywhere in X-Men that you need to go open Marvel Unlimited if you want the full backstory.
This isn't the only mess they've gotten into with digital content since July. Previously, they spent two months inserting blank pages into the print and kindle editions of all of their comics, that could only be redeemed for a final page on the Marvel app. Before finally backtracking they spent two months fighting their fans on social media, and insisting that these pages were only fun bonus that you didn't have to worry about. Yet several titles used them to introduce their respective villains, and the X-Force relaunch chose to simply redact the actual final page of the issue, for phone readers only.
It's just not a fun way to read things. No one wants to have to put down a physical comic, or close out kindle, and then go open a separate app on their Apple/Android device to finish the story. Or to have to remember to check Marvel Unlimited every Tuesday for weekly backup strips to find out what's going on with the co-lead of the comic they're already paying for. I've seen it suggested that these amount to schemes by the publisher to get more people to install Marvel's various phone apps, and that's probably true, but whatever inanity is going on behind the scenes there is at least some measure of obligation on the part of the editors to not make the rollout so intrusive. The actual comics need to at least be readable.

"X-Men: Xavier's Secret" One-Shot Collects 6 Issues of "X-Men: From the Ashes" Infinity Comic
Tumblr media
Marvel Comics has announced a print release of the first six issues of Alex Paknadel and Diógenes Neves' X-Men: From the Ashes Infinity Comic. The issues will be collected into a one-shot titled X-Men: Xavier's Secret #1.
"In the wake of the fall of Krakoa, the X-Men are forever changed. As Jean Grey prepares to take her place among the stars, she and Cyclops share a last night together, only to discover a hidden mystery that threatens to pull them apart.
Meanwhile, what was supposed to be a mundane article about Charles Xavier’s monstrous acts during the war turns into something far stranger for journalist Sally Floyd. Can the X-Men survive the shadows lurking in their pasts, or will their new era begin in tragedy?" (Marvel Comics)
X-Men: Xavier's Secret #1, featuring a cover by Martín Cóccolo, goes on sale on January 22, 2024.

Seeing the X-Men enter a new era right when I start getting back into comics so I can’t start it with everyone else and I don’t have to figure out how the hell I read the entire krakoa era

Something I wanna see in the new era is mutants in regular clothes going out and chilling occasionally.
I was watching X-men TAS and Evolution and it's so nice to see thee X-men just go out and do regular things. I feel like I haven't seen that in a bit.

The End Of Krakoa
Tumblr media
So Krakoa is ending for sure, and I want to share some thoughts about it. All we know for sure at the moment is that the books are relaunching sometime in July 2024 under new X editor Tom Brevoort. Right before Fall Of X started last year I wrote a little piece for Graphic Policy titled Let’s talk about the Fall Of X and the “End of Krakoa”, I think something I wrote in that piece remains pretty relevant for my feelings on this upcoming relaunch and the end of Krakoa so I'm going to quote from it here.
"I’ve seen a lot of chatter online about the Fall Of X and what it means for the Krakoa era of the X-Men line. A lot of those discussions have been pretty doom saying. A lot of fear that this means the end of the Krakoa era ushered in by Jonathan Hickman in House Of X/Powers Of X that has been ongoing since 2019, which united the Mutants on the living island nation of Krakoa. It revolutionized the franchise and breathed fresh new life into the long stagnating X-Men line. "I’m excited for the Fall Of X. One of my favorite things in comics is being able to put brackets around a run. A run is a consecutively told story usually headed by the same creative team the entire way through. One example of a run is Tini Howard’s Captain Britain comprising Excalibur, X Of Swords, Knights Of X, and Betsy Braddock: Captain Britain. Together these books tell a complete overarching story by a single writer. "The thing about the X-Men line since Hickman soft rebooted it, is the collaborative nature of the office. Story lines ebb and flow from one title to the next. It’s harder to put brackets around individual runs because they all contribute to an overarching narrative. If this is the end of the Krakoan era then I don’t necessarily think that’s a bad thing. Stories have endings, and this has been an exceptionally well told story. If the ending is satisfying, I’m happy to see the whole era tied together with a nice little bow."
I stand by most of what I said in that piece but I don't think it outlines the entirety of my present feelings. While I welcome the chance to put brackets on this era I think if they go back to the mansion as the default setting for the X-Men that would be a mistake and ultimately feel like a regression for the line. But on that only time will tell and speculating is mostly pointless.
I do think depending on where the line goes I'll take this as a chance to hop off the weekly releases and stick to reading on Marvel Unlimited. Keeping up with a entire line of comics for a extended period of time is costly and the chance to dismount isn't one I'm going to not consider.
My only wish is that they don't ignore Krakoa, I don't think the genie can successfully be put back into the bottle so to speak, furthermore I want Arrako to stick around, I was so happy when X-Men Red ended not to see the mutant planet and all it's characters go away, it's one of the amazing gifts of the Krakoa era that's ripe for storytelling.
Either way no matter where the line goes post Krakoa it will never erase what this era meant and still means, we'll forever have this amazing stretch of comics to go back to.

Maybe I've just missed out on a ton of Laura content, but isn't she only an adult in the more recent comics? And only because she grew up since she was a kid when she was first brought to the page. In the movie Logan she was a kid, and I don't know what else she's been in.
In the comics, she was a kid, then a teen in the academy, and now a young adult as Wolverine. I think since 2016's All New All Different stuff. As for sexualization, I entirely agree that she's been way oversexualized--problematically perhaps more as a child than as an adult--when she was brought into the comics. It added a lot more victimization and abuse to her story than the original X-23 backstory.
When OP brought up appearance, I thought they were going to discuss how Laura (I really don't like referring to her as X-23) was VERY EGREGIOUS WHITEWASHED. In Evo, she was most certainly not the white girl she was in the comics, and it's a massive bummer. They gave her a blonde mom and everything.
Anyway, she has plenty of material in the comics if you want to see more of her and, though she's an adult in the most recent stuff, her newest ongoing feature is the new NYX (2024), first issue out July 24!
I feel like the only person in existence to absolutely despise what they've done with X-23 outside of Evolution, they changed basically everything about her, ESPECIALLY APPEARANCE WISE. You can call me crazy for this but I'm a million percent certain they only changed her appearance so much and made her an adult because they couldn't be bothered with her actual character and just wanted eye candy.
Also I'll repeat this until I die but if you don't like it when Kurt or other adult X-Men are seen as teenagers or adapted as such then you should absolutely despise any adult X-23 adaptations. This is because in Evolution, her OG appearance, she's canonically around the age range of a kid / young teenager. It's literally pure hypocrisy and just because the majority of people care more about a character's sex appeal than the actual character itself.
